🧁Games to play with your plushies/sibbies/cg's🧁

This list is mainly focused on games I like to play and aren't focused on proper pretend play but more things that follow a script of sorts as I'm autistic and don't enjoy playing differently

🩹doctor office, I love playing doctors office, I even make little patient sheets for everyone, set up a proper office, and waiting room, this games is great because there is a clear structure to play with and focus on🩹

🍨ice cream shop, ice cream shop is such a fun game, I have a Play-Doh set to make ice cream with that's really fun to play with, I like to set up my plushies in a line and give them fake money and then arrange them in groups to eat that candy together🍨

🦴puppy pound, playing things like animal shelter can be lots of fun with your plushies, you can make little introduction cards for each of them and makeup backstories, then you can lead another plushie or imaginary person through your shelter and introduce the animals🦴

🍼tea party, now this one is a classic, having real or pretend tea and cakes or other snacks with your plushies, discussing funny gossip or plushie land political issues, maybe even giving good life advice to your furry friends all this and more can be super great for playing tea party🍼

🪽funeral, this might seem morbid for some but for me it's very fun as I want to become a mortician, you can craft a pretty casket for the plushie, make a flower bouquet with paper, write a eulogy and set everything up nice and pretty, don't forget to make sure it worn make you sad though🪽

🧴beauty salon, I adore this game, giving a silly makeover to your plushies or human friends is so much fun, you can put bows in their hair, pretend to wash it, put makeup on them, paint their nails, give them silly outfits and talk about their life's🧴

🍥grocery store, playing grocery store isn't for everyone and I have to admit it's not something I like too much but for some people it can still be lots of fun, I especially like the organizing part🍥

📖library, this is a game I adore, you can make little library cards for your plushies and friends, set up books in piles, read story times to the visitors, help everyone find thr books they would like and give your recommendations📖

🌸flower store, for this game you can draw and craft lots of pretty flowers to sell to your plushies, advice them on the perfect way to put together their bouquet, add beautiful ribbons and lave to the flowers ans write nice cards for them, I think especially flowers out of pipe cleaners are amazing for this🌸

🩰ballet, now this could either mean you out on a show for or with your plushies or even going to a ballet with them, either way you can dress up beautifully and either dance together or watch a ballet on YouTube and pretend you are in a theater, I really like the Russian ballet's 🩰

OKAY SO what with the TWO new Hermits implied by the updated banner I will say that, though the Skizz truthers have me convinced, I now have room to do my own crazy red string monologue and throw my hat in for my choice

1) Mythical J. Sausage (the J is silent) is a multitalented S-tier builder that absolutely deserves to be shoulder to shoulder with the Hermits. The man does buildings, interiors, terraforming, custom trees, and he does them SO WELL.

2) The production values!!! Beautiful replay mod sequences with shifting camera perspectives, shaders, music that sets the tone for each segment that's different from series to series. He already has more than a million followers on YouTube and for good reason!!

3) He has been SO consistent lately. He started a hardcore world about three months ago (about the time you might expect the Hermits to finalize their s10 choices maybe...???) and already has 15 episodes and hasn't gotten involved in any other big content. (He did just start playing a little of the BCG server but from what I understand that's super casual /copium copium copium).

4) That hardcore world is conveniently about to reach a good "pause" point. He started his world on a cherry blossom biome island that he's filled with a medieval village and starter farms, he's said it's almost full and what's left is the castle. I'm guessing the new season will start the first week of February, so if Sausage puts out a video this week building out that Castle and finishing that island it will be MIGHTY CONVENIENT TIMING.

5) This man can GRIND. His Hardcore world hasn't even been going half a year and he's built... So much??? Magnificent! And when he was on the Hermitcraft server he did the Razorcrest for scar AND the player head baby yoda/stormtrooper merch AND the noteblock themesong AND still built in the xmas village and other "diamond of peace" and so many other shenanigans. Did the man even sleep? He can grind with the best of them.

6) He can do redstone, too! Maybe not unique designs, I honestly don't know, but he builds farms for build materials no problem.

7) The DRAMA this man loves his improv and his backstory and trauma lore! For every series he does! Can you imagine if he gets to interact with Ren for an extended period of time, what that would do to them, to us?? Give Martyn a run for his money!!

8) Which brings me to my next point, which is that Sausage is already One of The Gang, because he's been in series with so many of the Hermits already! Empires and the crossover, obviously, but also Pirates with Cleo and Origins with Scar, and he's even done MCC! Joel is the only other player with the same depth of different series but there are other people truthing him already.

9) The EPIC BROMANCE with Pearl. My god the devotion of this man to his sunflower goddess bestie. I would try to do ot justice but y'all have seen floweroflaurelins work, you already know.

10) He's already a PG streamer but with HILARIOUSLY PG-13 tendencies. Imagine him and Cleo cracking each other up at an HHH stream, *grips your shoulders* IMAGINE IT.

11) Sausage comes with his own mascot in the form of interdimensional dog extraordinaire Bubbles, but he's also just an animal lover on general. Mans drinks his "I love Jellie" juice and had her in his world even before the sad news of her loss.

12) Diversity win! No one should be hired just for their gender, race, sexuality etc etc unless it's truly necessary to the job, but we were all happy when more women got added to the server in s8 and I know a lot of people would be happy to see some ethnic diversity added, too.

... That bulletin board had a lot more pins in it than I thought it did but anyway MYTHICALSAUSAGE TRUTHERS/ALL OTHER TRUTHERS RISE UP SPEAK YOUR TRUTH! we'll only get to wildly speculate for a few weeks so we might as well make it everyone else's problem ENJOY IT TO THE FULLEST!!

Achieving a real and authentic 2015 inspired year is nowhere near as unobtainable as it might seem. From youtube, to fashion inspo let this post be your guide to unleashing your inner icon!

Fashion Inspiration!

King kylie, Bella Hadid, Ariana Grande and Sky Ferreria! All iconic and well known fashion icons. Whether you're a Pinterest 2014 girl or a Tumblr 2015 one, you at least are familiar with one. Luckily a huge part of the era's fashion is it's simplicity. Depending on the sub-style you're going for, your inspiration can range anywhere from shabby chic to grunge!

Regardless of color, most of the essentials remain the same. Skater girl skirts? Make it pink or black, and it works no matter the aesthetic! Though for some things, such as the coquette shabby chic, try things like floral wedges and flowy dresses! And for grunge, try flannels, black skinny jeans and converse! Fashion is all about what works for you, which is why it's important to find your style before anything else. Fashion inspo is just as unique as you are!

Movies and Books!

Of course, to really embrace the energy of a 2015 icon, you have to surround yourself with it! Staple movies like, The Fault in our stars and Paper towns are a way one ticket to nostalgia. Other movies such as Divergent, The Hunger Games, The Great Gatsby and If I Stay are perfect additions to your 2015 movie nights! My personal favorite movies of the time are All the bright places, Naomi and Ely's No Kiss List and LOL. The early 2010's were the best movie era in my opinion and this filmography list proves it!

The books however, are an entirely more diverse subject. While most 2010's movies are either mostly dystopian or romance, the books are a whole different ballpark. From horror to romcom to sci-fi, there's a fit for everyone! The most popular choices are of course John Green and your typical dystopian series; however, I raise a much larger choice of selections. In terms of sci-fi with a mix of romance the Caster Chronicles series (Beautiful Creatures) is a phenomenal series and an even better movie. If horror is more your speed, Natasha Preston's The Cellar and Welcome to the Dark House by Parker Bradley are definitely CoCo approved! Finally for the love nuts, aka me, To All the Boys I've Loved Before is a classic and obvious choice, but I would be a fraud to not include it!

Music Music Music!

One beautiful thing about the 2010's is it's consistency in music that makes you feel! For most people, that feeling is sadness LOL. However, there is poetry in that writing which makes the inner ache of somber all worth it for the bliss of melody. Artists like The 1975, Marina, Lana Del Rey and Lorde are all versatile and perfect artists to get you right back in that nostalgic state!

Whether you're looking for a more girlish vibe or a darker energy, the 2010's are a great time for whatever musical desires you have! I will leave my link to my 2014 playlist right here! Room Decor!

The quickest way to achieve a realistic 2015 inspired room is to go onto Pinterest and find your niche! For some super personal ideas on how to make your room aesthetically you, check out some old DIY YouTube videos. They range from various aesthetics, and you can personalize them anyway you please! My favorite youtubers to watch are MyLifeAsEva, LaurDIY, Alisha Marie and of course my queen of DIY Bethany Mota.

For the overall aesthetic, if you’re one of the grungier girls, opt for posters like The 1975 or The Neighborhood. Things like black throw pillows or printed out photos of you and your friends are perfect for achieving your look. Cutting out clippings from magazines and making collages is also a fun and free way to personalize your room!

Now if you’re like me and you’re more of a pink girl, try floral sheets like tulips or daisies! Fur throw pillows and double sided sequin pillows are a good touch for your bed too. Posters like Lana Del Rey and Ariana Grande are more 2015-esque touches, along with string lights and polaroids!

No matter the aesthetic, what’s really important is personalization! You don’t want your room to be the same as everyone else’s, it should be unique and showcase who you are!

In Conclusion..

Whether you’re a Tumblr grunge or a Pinterest shabby chic, I hope this guide helps you in any way it can! The most important thing about truly making this year your dream aesthetic is all in your experience. 2025 is what you make it! You had settled back in, deep in your own thoughts, when your partner entered the bedroom. You had been with Doctor Stephen Strange for a while now. Long enough that you had more or less informally moved into the Sanctum. You got to spend more time with Stephen and didn't have to pay rent. It was a win-win. The only downside was that you couldn't hide from him when your inner demons reared up. 

You didn't even realize he had been talking to you as he changed out of his sorcerer's robes and into his sweats for bed. It wasn't until he sat down in front of you and lifted your chin up to look directly at him that you realized you weren't paying any attention to a thing he was saying. 

"What's wrong, sweetie?"

You hated the genuine concern on his face. He spent his days literally saving the universe, and here you were trapped inside your own spiraling thoughts. 

"Nothing is wrong."

You said it while staring down at your hands. You were never good at hiding things from Stephen when you were face to face.

"Even if I wasn't a brilliant doctor, MD, and PhD, I know that's your 'I'm sad' sweatshirt. So something is definitely wrong."

I've come to start resenting those super popular Mario 64 hacks as of late, like B3313, the multiplayer mod, Mario 64 with Shotgun.

Why I’m a Vessel Stan

because i’ve been active in the clique for so long, i’m often asked “so what’s your favorite album?” and my answer has always been the same. vessel. i’ve been a clikkie for over a decade, and vessel has always been my number one. i think that’s partly due to the fact it has some advantages over the other albums. for me, at least. for example, it was my first introduction to the band. i was 13/14 years old, and i was scrolling through vine. yes, vine was a thing at the time, that’s how long ago it was lol. one of the videos i came across used audio from ‘migraine.’ i was hooked immediately. i vividly remember the part i heard was “sometimes to stay alive you gotta kill your mind.” my little sad self was definitely digging the vibe. beyond just the lyrics, it was something i had never heard before. tyler’s voice and the way he sang was so unique to me. i just had to know who this guy was. so, i gave it a quick google search, and the rest is history.

vessel also has my favorite tøp song ever… my sweet baby car radio. i’ve loved car radio for years, and it’s given me plenty of good memories. i even chose it as my monologue for theater class lol. car radio has always been one of my favorites to see live, and getting to high five tyler during it definitely earns some bonus points. it was also the first song i learned on the drums that i felt very proud of. i’d been playing super simple stuff up until then, so that felt like a real accomplishment at the time.

if i hadn’t have found that random vine, my life would’ve been much different. granted, i’d probably be significantly less annoying, but no where near as happy. i’ve met so many great friends through the clique. i’ve also had life changing experiences. i became a drummer because of this band, and that ultimately changed my life in so many ways. i’m now playing in bands and recording my own music, all because i randomly stumbled upon an album one day. i probably wouldn’t be running this blog/youtube channel, had it not been for the pilots. oh, and running a semi famous fan account that got me on MTV was a pretty fun side quest. that was interesting. although the “tinydun” legacy will haunt me forever.

but thank you, vessel. this weird, beautiful journey started because of you. and because of that, you’ll always be my favorite <3

Sorry for the corny title! I figured I should write something for spooky season. This also stems a little bit from the new Tales of the TMNT series on Paramount+. I thought it was adorable and sad how the guys all had these great Halloween costumes and never even got to enjoy the party.

This is the first time I've written a turtle x reader and I decided not to use (Y/N). It just feels out of place in my writing, writing ‘you’ is hard enough, I’m so not used it. Please be gentle, it was really difficult to get the tense right.

In this prompt you decide to surprise your SO turtle boyfriend (Mikey in this case) with a sexy costume on the way to a party on Halloween.

Mikey absolutely loved Halloween, if he had to choose, it’s his favourite holiday. He loved the whole scene: dressing up, feeling like a regular guy and free candy! What’s not to love? This year you both agreed on a couple’s costume. He was going to be dressed as Bat-Turtle and you were going as Catwoman.

“Almost ready, Babe?” He called, bouncing on the balls of his feet in anticipation. His brothers were all doing their own thing out and about and you two were about to head to April’s Penthouse Halloween Party.

Sticking out your tongue, you carefully swiped the black eyeliner along the lower eyelid and placed the finishing touches on the top lid. Your cat-eye liner just had to be perfect. “Almost!” You called back.

The costume you picked out consisted of black leather with matching lacy black underwear. Slipping it on, you turned this way and that noting the lines of your bra showing under the suit and frown not liking how obvious they were. Not needing a bra anyways, especially with the tight leather pushing the girls up, you discard it then zip the suit all the way up, rubbing your hands over the now smooth area. Last touch was your mask, ears, thigh-high boots and sexy cat tail. Smirking at your image you stick you tush out and give it a wiggle while thinking, Catwoman, eat your heart out.

All Mikey had asked is for you to find a costume. He didn’t know exactly what he was going to see when you emerged. He hummed ‘spooky scary skeletons’ while he waited.

“I’m ready!” You sang, skipping out to join him.

Mikey turned to look, a huge smile coming to his face. “Awesome, Babycakes! That means we can… go…” he trailed off, mesmerized at the sight of you. “Holy shit…” He breathed, taking a long look at you.

You gave him a twirl. “Do I look okay?” You asked innocently. You knew you were having an effect on him and you loved it.

When he finally found his voice there was a husky edge to it. “Y-yeah…” he cleared his throat, jumping around you to get a better look, his cape swirling as he moved. “You look AMAZING! You look super hot, Babe!”

Your cheeks turned a little pink as you smiled, very pleased with his reaction. “Thanks, you look great too.” You lightly fingered the soft fabric of his cape and traced your finger around the horns of the mask he wore. “Shall we go?”

“Yeah!!” He replies, still a little dazed by your beauty but excited to show you off at the party. “Just watch, you’re gonna be the hottest babe there!”

You giggled as you walked toward the exit, your tail swishing hypnotically along with your hips.

Mikey is once again distracted by the way the leather tightly accentuates your ass. “So fucking sexy…” He whispered before following you and putting his arm around your shoulders.

Mikey is somewhat of a celebrity, word had gotten around about how he and his brothers had saved New York City and videos had popped up all over YouTube describing their heroic efforts. Mikey had not been shy or that humble about it. He’d signed autographs, taken selfies… so when the two of you entered the room, the cheering erupted.

Mikey loved a good party, but he loved showing you off even more. Throughout the night he took every opportunity to introduce you, he kissed you, danced with you, He’d made it very obvious that you two were an item. He was so proud that his girlfriend was so gorgeous and wanted everyone to know.

Sometime during the party, April had dragged Mikey away to introduce him to a couple fans and promising it would be quick. As minutes ticked away though, you wandered to the balcony and stepped out into the crisp air, closing your eyes as a small shiver runs through you. It was quieter out here, most preferring to stay in the warmth of the penthouse. For you though it was a nice break from the noise since Mikey was busy elsewhere.

A moment later you hear the door open and you smile thinking Mikey had come out to bring you back in to the party. As you turned with a smile, it faltered to see that it was not Mikey, but two men dressed up in dark clothes. Not sure, or caring what their costumes were, you give them a small nod of hello then try to step between them to get back inside.

“Where you going, kitten?” One said staying next to his buddy so you couldn’t get through. The look in their eyes up close made your heart start to beat nervously and you cleared your throat to try and speak clearly.

“Inside, back to my boyfriend,” you say giving them a knowing look and trying not to let them see your hands tremble. Everyone knew who your boyfriend was, it was definitely not a secret.

“Come on, sexy kitten, come be with a real man, not like that freak could satisfy you anyway…” They said.

You were already uncomfortable the moment you tried to get past them but after that comment you were angry. “No, thank you.” You said firmly. “Not interested, get out of here before he kicks your asses.”

“I think you might want to reconsider.” The one guy said, caging you in against the wall. “What’s he gonna do? He don’t scare us.”

You attempt to push his chest to escape but find the other guy has blocked you. “Not so fast, kitten, give us a kiss before you go!”

“No!” you say firmly, and your training with Mikey kicks in. You suddenly strike upwards with the heel of your hand and attempt to kick him in the groin. Both hits actually made contact and he yelped in pain. “You little bitch!”

His friend rounded on you to retaliate and you go on the defensive, wincing slightly because you really don’t want to be hit. As anticipated, they rounded up on you and you keep your defenses up. There’s small shaking in your hands which the men grinned seeing. Hating that, you take a breath as they reach back ready to swing their arm towards your face.

The hit never lands as the man is suddenly is ripped away from you and a soft growl is heard. “These guys bothering you, baby?” Mikey sounded different, like he was trying to restrain himself from ripping them apart.

You nodded, crossing your arms. “Yeah… seems they forgot who I belong to.”

“Thought so. They were just leaving.” Mikey grinned. The words are said cheerfully though there’s an edge to them. In a moment he’d grabbed both of the guys by their shoulders and was practically dragging them to the exit.

He knew April wouldn’t mind if he acted as a bouncer for a couple of creeps and throws them through the door into the hallway. “Thank you! Don’t come again, assholes!”

He shut the door, taking a few deep breaths to calm himself. Then he went to make sure you’re okay.

You haven’t moved, still trying to calm your racing heart and hoping the evening wasn’t ruined. The feel of strong arms wrapping around startles you but in moments you recognize the feel of Mikey’s arms and lean back into him taking comfort in his touch.

“It’s just me, Babycakes… Are you okay?” he whispered against your neck.

You nodded and reach behind to caress his face. “I’m okay… I’m sorry… those guys…” You felt a little emotional and your breath hitched.

Mikey swiftly has you turned, in his arms and pulled tight against his chest. “No, no, no, no…” he said. “You did nothing wrong, it’s my fault, I’m the one who left you alone. I’m sorry…”

You melted into his embrace and wrapped your arms around his neck. “It isn’t your fault either.” Then kissed him.

Mikey’s arms tightened around you as he angles his mouth, deepening the kiss. Relief coursed through him as he felt your body melt against his. You were safe, you were real, and you were his. His kisses are soft but demanding as if he’s trying to drink you in, taking everything you have to give.

♡Weekly Chronicles♡

Hey babes! I've missed you guysss I am so happy I had an amazing trip it was so nice. I went to a convention in Maryland for 5 days it was so nice. I definitely left with a lot of knowledge so many amazing people spoke at the lectures<3 and I'm sorry I missed the weekly affirmations for this week.

♡Education♡

I applied for all my classes for next semester before my trip. I’m low-key excited about the classes I have coming up. Lot of different courses since I'm almost done with my major required classes now I need to fill the rest of my credits with electives. I have an art class next semester just for fun. I can't wait to meet the people in my classes. I have to take this math class I am not excited for at all I hate math lol so every time I update you girliesss on this class I'll probably be complaining lol.

♡Mental♡

Interacting with different people this past week has been very good for me mentally. It brought me back to pre-quarantine Khadija who was such a big extrovert. After covid, I started to have mild social anxiety so this was needed. I dealt with a little insecurities while on my trip interacting with so many beautiful women I started to doubt my looks comparison is the thief of joy, I practiced a lot of the methods my therapist recommended like canceling one negative thought with two positive thoughts. I realized I was all in my head for no reason. I love watching Leo Skepi when I am feeling this way he always gets me together. I highly recommend him if you are dealing with a lack of discipline, self-confidence, or just need someone to get you together with tough love he is that guyyy. Side noteee I missed my antidepressant dose twice in a row because of traveling back to New York and it low-key made me hazy like it was super weird but I took it today. 

♡Physical♡

While I was away I ate super bad! The event was an African-focused event so the food there wasn’t healthy at all. I was going to stick to my diet while on my trip but I decided I'm on a trip let me relax and I don't regret it at all. But I am seeing the consequences of my food choices now I am soooo bloated lol. So I am starting a cleanse tomorrow for the next 14 days I already prepped my ginger shot for the morning I want to flush my system out completely going into the new year. I don't recommend cleanses especially to my babes that have dealt with ED’s always consult your doctors before starting anything. I just do what works for me. 

♡Hobbies♡

Now that I am back I can get back to being consistent with my Italian, pilates, and weight lifting. I was so sad I could not lift I feel like I'm low-key obsessed with lifting lol it feels so good and I've been seeing results, especially in my lower body. While I was gone I didn't have any time to do my hobbies they had us in lectures and events constantly. I practiced my Italian once which I'm happy about. I plan on starting jewelry making next week I'm super excited it was one of my favorite hobbies when I was in middle school. I used to make earrings and bracelets. 

♡Plans For The Weekend♡

My birthday is Sunday, December 31st! I am turning 21 yay! I am super excited I don't have anything planned for my birthday. I am going to have a mini celebration with my family and watch the ball drop my siblings bought me presents so I'm excited to open everything. I'm starting my cleanse so I'll be working out and taking good care of my body internally and externally so I'll be off social media this weekend and focused on my mental and physical health. I plan on creating my vision board and listing my goals this year. My dad is ordering my camera I used to have a YouTube channel but I took a break to work on my self-improvement journey I do plan on getting back on my YouTube grind soon lol so look out for that coming out in 2024!

been watching a bunch of youtube videos about snow white (because it is the topic du jour and i need background noise) and this is neither a critique of the video essays nor of the disney remake but like

it really makes me think about how much you lose from the story when you keep making Snow White an older teenager or an adult woman?

I realise it is Uncomfortable to have a story where the main conflict revolves around "this twelve year old is super hot", but also: idk about you but for me that's what's so impactful about the fairytale and to a lesser degree the 1937 film

it is ultimately a story about the very specific but unfortunately near-universal experience of the world deciding for you that you have changed from "child" to "woman" and proceeding to treat you as a fully adult agent while simultaneously denying you all agency and power

like. snow white is a child. this is incredibly obvious in the framing. she is hitting puberty and that is when the mirror is like "hey she's a Woman now". and that is a process that is finished when A Prince Occurs, and that sucks as a message, but there's so much about snow white as a story that is still so fucking resonant to my experience of growing up, and I imagine to the experience of most people raised as girls.

like, imagine you're nine or ten, right, and your dad remarries and then he dies. it is traumatic and sad and you are scared and alone. you look around and you see the changes happening in your home, and you make the very sensible decision: okay, all right, I need to keep my head down and make myself useful, and then nobody will have a reason to send me away.

and it works! because your stepmother is vain and self-centred, and she only cares about her looks and what makes her seem more beautiful. you are at most an accessory she can dress up and trot out when she wants to, but the vast majority of the time, she ignores you. you are annoying to her. you are neither an asset nor a threat. why would she care?

(you continue to make yourself useful, but to try and keep out of her way, because, well. a lot of your friends aren't around the palace any more. you try to get the approval of the people who will give you attention. you hang around with the cooks and the servants and the animals in the courtyard. you don't care about class differences. you are a neglected preteen)

and then

suddenly

you are twelve or thirteen. your body is doing strange things. people begin to look at you differently. people have always said you are beautiful, but now it comes more often and it seems... different somehow. men say things you no longer understand. women whisper. you are growing up, and you know that, but you don't understand that, not yet.

and out of the blue, your stepmother comes to find you, to invite you to go on a trip. you think: she's noticed! she's noticed that i'm growing up, that i'm responsible and dutiful and kind and obedient, and now that i'm not a child any more, maybe i'm no longer an annoyance. maybe if i'm really good, she'll understand that i just want to help!

and eventually, an old woman comes to your door, and she says: take this apple. take it, it's sweet. it's good for you. it's a gift.

and you might doubt her intentions, but you are a good girl. you learned to respect your elders and to listen to grown-ups. and she's so insistent, and she knows so much more than you, and even if she's old and crooked, she's also here with you, alone in the woods, and it's rude to turn old ladies away, but it's also dangerous. you've spent your life - all thirteen years of it - learning to appease and learning to be small. you don't trust the apple. you don't even like apples. you take it anyway.

July 2023 Wk 2

Being a highly subjective assessment of one tiny corner of the interwebs. Organized by which ones (in each category) I’m enjoying most.

Ongoing Series - Thai

Laws of Attraction (Thai Sat iQIYI) 1 of 8 - Icky picked it up but it’s not airing for me until Sundays so I held this post specifically to watch and talk about this show. Stars the pair from To Sir With Love with the same production team. IT’S SO GOOD Y’ALL. A morally corrupted trickster lawyer with a tragic past, sad eyes, and a beautiful smile that he uses like a weapon. Meets paladin martial arts instructor from other side of the tracks (who is out, at least to his baby sister). Corrupt police. Spoiled rich kid evil. Ambitious politician. Tragic death. Terrible subs.* This show is very like Manner of Death but so far it is a much better/tighter story. It’s NOT BL but it is fucking phenomenal. And you shoudl watch it. Not wait to binge it. WATCH IT. On a global scale this might be the best thing currently airing featuring gay romantic leads. Its really fucking good. It’s Lawless Lawyer but more complex character motivation and gay af. Fuck yes please and thank you. FINALLY. Triggers for violence, beatings, death & torture depicted on screen. Like MoD they are not holding back.  (* A lot of the familial names they are using are not gendered in Thai but translated as such, like “nephew”. This one is gonna go down a lot easier if you know some Thai.)

Step By Step (Tues WeTV & Gaga) ep 12fin - 2 years pass and no one’s hairstyle changes? Srs. Them meeting again = hella AWKWARD. Both still pining & hurt. NO SINGING. The reconciliation scene was great. I enjoyed that on the “do over relationship” they went with phi/pom (instead of the super formal khuns). So cute and so much more relaxed. Also lots of neck kisses! Charming final ep. It’s only flaw being they dropped the side couple, but I wasn’t really into them anyway. Ultimately? This is what Boss & Babe should have been and could we please have Up lead out another BL? I miss him and he only gets prettier. Full review below.

La Pluie (Sat iQIYI) ep 12fin - I adore the tiny little baby GL thread that we almost got. And I wish we had had more of it throughout the show. The side couple turned out to be good too. Emotional crying kisses are my favorite. Sunshine netted himself an earnest serious romantic boy, we likey. As for the main couple? Well... Tai’s search story arc was dull and dragging in a final ep and it felt bloated and slow as a result. It was a good confession reunion with Tai figuring all of his shit out, not surprising but fine. Kind of a a weak final ep. Full review below. 

Hidden Agenda (Thai Sun GMMTV YouTube) ep 1 of 12 - JoonDunk are back and we have all seen this a million times before, but Thailand never executed a successful formula it didn’t want to repeat a million times over, drunk bathroom and everything. Welcome (back) to Thai BL (and back and back and back). Basically they just added glasses, a new 1-shared-brain-cell friendship group, and different uni departments. Ah GMMTV, forever trying to recreate the magic of 2gether. But also I’m enjoying it. I’m a simple person. (Hi Jamie! Still in college since 2018 I see.) Anyone else notice that Chinese phrase that they did not translate for us? Mmm hum. Cute. Still... NO SINGING. 

Low Frequency (Sat iQIYI) ep 2 of 8 - Thames is in coma and getting slagged off on the socials. It’s moving a bit slowly but the premise is interesting despite the poor quality of the execution. 

Dinosaur Love (Sun iQIYI) ep 3 of 8 eps - Major trigger for self harm depicted on screen in part 2/4. I skipped it. Then there is assault and verbal abuse. I told you Ultimate Troop is NOT to be trusted. 

Be Mine Super Star (Mon Viki) ep 2 of 12 - Look, I don’t really mind this show but I also don’t like second hand embarrassment and I sense a metric butt ton incoming.

Be My Favorite (Fri YouTube) ep 8 of 12 - I was not best pleased with this episode. Ya’ll round the tumblr-sphere seem to be enjoying it but I have officially hit the wall on Kawi. There is not enough booze for me to cope with his shizz. I may be alone in this. But gotta say how I feel... Unlike him. Trash watch here.

Ongoing Series - Not Thai

Tokyo in April is... AKA Shigatsu no Tokyo wa (Japan Thurs Gaga) ep 5 of 8 - Poor Ren, he feels compelled to take on the burden of protecting everyone from sexual assault because he blames himself. And he can’t even talk to his boyfriend about it. Oh fuck me the pair of shoes at the door. And neck kisses? TOO MUCH. Argh. Japan. Why must you hurt so good? 

Stay By My Side (Taiwan Fri Gaga) 3 of 10 eps - It’s a very cute show. All the tropes and archetypes with no fuss or attempts to be clever, just executing them (sometimes over and over again). Even hiccoughs as a result of flirting! I haven’t seen that one in ages. The show feels old fashioned as a result. Nostalgic. I’m good with that. 

Tie The Not (Pinoy YouTube) ep 6 of 8 - Sad boys still sad now drunk. (Noooooo shoes on bed! Argh.) Finally kisses! Also good ones for a large portion of this ep. Plus hair pulling. And verse rep! And after sex convo. Then side dishes have a whole proper gay ax covo about top/bottom. Everyone say thank you Philippines! get down with your queer selves! 

Stupid Genius (Vietnam Fri YouTube) ep 6fin - I believe this was the final episode. It was cute. This is a standard sort of semi-crappy VBL high school drama. Enjoyable in its floppy friendliness, weirdly like a queer after school special promoting education. Dead fish kisses but fine for what it is. 7/10 

Minato's Laundromat Season 2 AKA Minato Shouji Coin Laundry Season 2 (Japan Thu Gaga) 2 of 12 eps - Activate cohabitation trope. They okay bfs. Minato not as frustrating this week, but still frustrating for me and Shin. Next week = cute outfits and dumb miscommunication yay!

Vian the series (Vietnam YouTube ) ep 11 of 12 - again it didn’t show up on my dash in time for this. I’ll pop it into next week.

Ended This Week

Step By Step Series Review  

This was Thailand’s answer to The New Employee, and everything I loved about that show I loved about this one. This was an office romance between stern boss and sweet subordinate that felt more authentic to an office environment than previous Thai BLs of this ilk. And that authenticity added tension to the narrative and character development (how novel). Now that might be because it has western source material, or it might be because it is actually kind of old-fashioned (it’s been years since I worked as an office grunt). I also really enjoyed the brothers’ relationship, and kinda wished they hadn’t attempted (and failed) to give said brother his own side BL. That one flaw made it a 9/10 for me. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

La Pluie Series Review

This BL takes to task the fated mates trope and what it means to have love chained intimately to predestination. It’s about how faith in destiny before choice diminishes the authenticity of emotion, relationships, and connection. This is a high concept to examine through the lens of a BL. By activating + examining the soulmates trope this show is challenging a foundation of romance: the idea that there is one person meant to be your one romantic partner all your life. This means that we, as viewers, spend much of the show worried about it having a happy ending, and that’s the source of both its brilliance and tension: would the narrative have the strength to truly challenge its own romantic core? But, ultimately, all this elevated complexity was executed in a somewhat shaky manner with the narrative derailing into some serious pacing issues and characters manipulated by miscommunication. However, with good chemistry and decent acting all around, plus some excellent high heat and representation of consent and a few other rare tropes, this one has to (like it’s sibling show My Ride) earn a 9/10. I enjoyed it even as it made me think, so despite its flaws: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Yes Sunray, my naps were lovely. I had very weird dreams about Dandy’s World in them, but they were so refreshing. And im actually feelin really good. My art keeps improving and I found a new game to hyperfixate on, one that I haven’t been interested in before (Forsaken, my beloved ❤️) it’s actually so bad that I’ve ALREADY made an au mixing it and tsams. I’ve been in the fandom for three days. I don’t think I’ve gotten this giggly about Roblox EVER, and it’s WEIRDDD. I also hate combat games so this is definitely a first in several fronts. I love baking :D I’ve been doing it every night this past week and a half, and I gotta say, im getting really good at this. My most recent creation is a batch of cookies that is slightly burnt. Still delicious though. For some reason I’ve gone back to drawing on IbisPaint, when I’ve spent so much money on Procreate, I should be mad but my art has never looked better or felt better to draw. (I may or may not have a lot of fanart for you Moongleam, be prepared /silly) Also, a few months ago, we made a few ocs for SEA and wanted to share them but we were too nervous, but not anymore so I’m gonna finally do it. So there’s three of them, two animatronics and one human. We keep changing the human’s name so for now let’s just call them Bob. The first animatronic’s name is Vaquita which I thought was really funny because she’s based on a poisonous kind of octopus/squid (memory is kinda foggy so idk which one-) and she has an purple-blue color scheme. The second one is called Echo and they’re a shark, and the only one I actually tried to draw lmao. Now their jobs: Bob is a researcher (ima be vague about that cuz I might change it) Vaquita is there to assist Bob because he has some trouble walking (she does so willingly btw, they were very close before working at the foundation) and Echo works in security, and only does so because they like the fact they get access to weapons. They’re silly little guys and I would infodump their lore but I don’t really want to do it in the format I’ve done the rest of this in :( I’ll figure something out eventually. (I’m also realizing how little info I’m giving abt them, and I’m mad at myself but I physically can’t talk about them like this and I have no idea why)

Before I send this in, I just wanna say I completely forgot that I have to respond in these Yap sessions. Like I was halfway into dreamland and then I shot upright in horror that I hadn’t even started writing anythin in response. So yeah, I speedran this in the last half hour/hour so I wouldn’t bang my head against the wall tomorrow out of embarrassment. :,)

It's okay, it's a job, it isn't meant to be relaxing, especially since a lot of other areas of the hospital are understaffed and we need to help out the colleagues by being substitutes. Even me, wo only started 2 weeks ago was sent to be a substitute in a position, that I haven't even done in my own area, and thus know confidently how to do, let alone in a completely new one, haha...

But yeah, money tastes good (or well, will taste good once get my paycheck next month, hahha...)

Honestly the Beauty and The Beast AU's roles are pretty simple, I don't know if that's the right word though. The roles make sense to me at least and thus to me it feels simple. I just hope I'll actually write the damn thing and that I'll nail the vibes
