Micah, a young programmer two steps away from being a shut-in, gets dragged out by his best (and only friend) Laurie to a local butler cafe after she wins their bi-annual lottery. This lucky win gets her free access to the cafe's top five most popular butlers, all with different styles and approaches to their job of keeping people company, for an in-cafe chat and off-site date.  "You're going to learn how to talk to people, and men, so help me God."  Our Micah is aspec and arospec, not caring enough to figure it out properly, but more than that, he is so poorly socialised that in order to figure out if he feels love or lust, he needs to interact with more people! Laurie, knowing this, thrusts him headfirst into the chance of a lifetime by nominating him in her place!

Friendship Test Full game release trailer!

Friendship Test is a game that follows a friendprogram, a robot built to be a perfect friend, as they travel a mysterious lab and encounters multiple Programs in need of help (and friendship). But perhaps being the best friend you can be isn’t truly what FriendProgram wants… Is that so wrong?

Friendship Test is a 10+ hours RPG Maker game that focuses on lovelessness, aplatonicism, aromanticism and many other aspec identities, as well as neurodivergency. I have been working on this project for almost a year and I’m close to the finish line.

You can play the demo on itch.io already! The full game will be released completely for free there as well.

Next week, in aro week, I will share multiple previews, concept art and overall commentary of the development of the game!

Hello people. Recently i've started working on a project - a short visual novel i'm planning to release on itch.io before July.

It will be completely free (not even pay what you want - i'm not actually sure if i as a ukrainian can even receive money, btw if any gamedevs from ukraine who publish on itch know then please tell me) and I will post regular updates here on tumblr.

That Distant Shore

This game is in the start of development. It is not currently planned out and is a test for me to learn twine. I can not promise when or if there will be a finished product. This game will be free and remain free if finished. Everything is subject to change.

The story:

You and your siblings are displaced after your parent's death and the loss of your home. You suffer from a strange family ‘curse’ where each member will die one by one. Your flaws will be your undoing... Your dead parents, Adelina and Theodore loved you and your siblings.  So, what happened to all of you?

The characters:

Theodore -last name-

Your deceased father.

Adelina -last name-

Your deceased mother.

Victoria -last name-

Your prima donna sister. She doesn't like you. Can you change her perceptions or will you prove her right?

Alexander -last name-

Your kindhearted brother who took custody over you and your sister after your parents death.

Matteo/Madelyn Abbott (RO, gender selectable) "the bully"

Brash and abrasive. Despite being the principals child they refuse any special treatment and in fact take great joy over annoying their mother. They don't like you, maybe you used to be friends maybe you were strangers. Whatever your history, can you persuade them that you are not who they think you are?

Oliver/Olivia Campbell (RO, gender selectable) "the neighbor"

Typical golden retriever type. They are sweet but loud. You used to be neighbors, you two basically grew up together. O has noticed you drift since the accident. They wish they still lived by you so they could help more, but at least you'll see each other at school! Will you let them in?

Dylan Levine (RO, gender selectable) "the new kid"

A bit mysterious being new to the town. Dylan is your new classmate and is determined to learn about you and all the rumors surrounding you. You don't yet know what to think about them. Will they push you away when they find out about your so called curse, or will they stick around?

Jordan McKinley (RO, nonbinary) "the weird kid"

Jordan is known for being a bit... eccentric. They are kind and love making new friends, but your school has deemed them an outcast, not unlike yourself. Perhaps you two can bond over your loneliness?

making the zine

this is a zine i started because i wanted to do something with some quotes that have been stuck in my head for years. things people have said to me that i've either written down, kept screenshots of if it was over text, or just fully remembered word for word.

but i didn't have that many, and it felt vulnerable sharing them as they were. i thought why not drown them among other people's similar quotes, everyone probably has at least one thing they were told one day, that they still remember. and so i made an online form to share anonymously. and it received enough contributions to make this little thing :')

I will say, choosing to make your way through a bunch of point-and-click games on itch.io will single-handedly remind you that creativity is not "dead" or "corporatized" but actually, we as a species are still amazing, wildly inventive, and largely unhinged; if you claim otherwise, you're just not looking at the right bits.

Echo, to put it simply, is a beautifully written story about the worst friend group ever having the worst reunion ever in The Middle of Bumfuck Nowhere, Utah. It's also a horror visual novel starring horny furries. It's ALSO one of those stories that tears out your heart and leaves you a different person after you read it. 10/10 would recommend, even if stuff like furries aren't your cup of tea I think it's still generally a very good read :)
