valgrace but one of them fell extremely sick, like deathly pale, fevers running high type of sick and the other doesn’t want to leave their side even though they could also get sick.

if it’s jason — leo is at his side once he’s awake from his nap, offering water and even warmth if jason is cold. jason’s too tired to speak but it’s fine because leo could speak enough for both of them. he gestures wildly as he catches jason up on what he missed, maybe even a little bit of exaggeration that gets shut down if the others visit like nico or will, piper, percy or annabeth.

if it’s leo — jason is the first to arrive at the infirmary alongside will, even opting to help out since he practically lives in the infirmary ever since leo became bedridden. more often than not, he’ll always pass by, asking him how he feels and what he needs, holds his hand and cleans the sweat off his forehead. jason would talk about what leo missed as well but go off topic, mentions the letters he receives from thalia or even reyna, talking about adventures that should be humanely impossible but aren’t.

and without fail, they’d fall into a conversation of creating plans and looking so far into the future that would have the fates reeling and angrily knitting.

Idk I just have this au where the roman kids are in a military child soldier camp(I know they already are) but more dystopian or like undercover government kinda like the marvel red room

Maybe the all have handlers and different locations

Ex: Lupa and her pack raised Jason, so they are like one part of this big facility and are mainly in charge of taking care of the younger kids that are bought in around Jason's age like when he was 2 and trained from young to asssinate people or get info

Circe Island could be a facility to train young girls like Reyna

Amazons is a another facility only for girls

Juno is like in charge of everything

When people say Jason is boring but that’s the thing, he was so forced into a position of leadership since he was a good fighter/son of Jupiter, he never got time to become his own person. He was just the fighter, then praetor, and I mean he’s not fully personality-less. But he was molded into the perfect leader from such a young age he never got time to figure out what he liked, or do silly teen stuff. He and Percy are/were both the male beacons of their respective camps, but Percy is more beloved for his personality as well as leadership and skills. From what I can tell, Jason was just a leader at camp Jupiter, not as much of a friend as Percy was. He was replaceable to them, but camp half blood didn’t see Percy as that.

Jason adjusted the book that laid flat against his thighs, sky blue irises skimming through the passages as he mentally noted down his notes.

Leo was laying on his stomach, feet kicked up into the air as he chewed on a pen cap and scribbled along the lines of his notebooks.

Minutes turned into an hour as they worked on class assignments and homework on the floor of the library in New Rome when Leo groaned incredibly loudly, the sounds echoing throughout the library that caused Jason to bury his face into the pages and shot a pointed look at the other once his embarrassment dissipated.

"What?" Leo whined, rolling onto his back and sprawled his limbs out to form a star. He huffed, hitting Jason's shoe with a closed fist, "I'm so tired, I want to go home."

Jason sighed. The son of Jupiter sat up and folded his legs under him, gently carding his hand through soft but rough brown curls. "Come on, you were doing well, Firefly."

"It was a good distraction for, like, twelve minutes. I miss camp. I miss being covered in grease and oil and dirt and-"

Jason chuckled, leaning forward to press a soft kiss into Leo's forehead and then pecked his nose and eyes that closed in content. "Only a few more weeks 'til break."

"Few weeks too long." Leo blew out a breath, the soft and cool air weakly moving outgrown blond locks. "Tell Nico that he'll see me hanging around downstairs. I'm dying. I'm dying, Mi Cielo. Do you have any last words for me?"

Jason leaned forward once more, pressing his lips against Leo's. He couldn't help but smile against his lips as warm arms wrapped around his neck and threatened to topple him over until they were both lying on the floor of the library.

yall need to stop comparing jason and percy. trying to say which is stronger out of the two. instead, realize how validating they could be to each other.

like here’s jason. golden boy of camp jupiter. forced to be the most strong, responsible, level-headed. then this son of poseidon with 4 summers of sword-fighting experience come waltzing in and hands his ass to him AND becomes praetor in a week

and of course jason is upset because.. wtf?? how is this possible???? he’d naturally be on offense. how can he protect camp when he’s so weak compared to this dude? it tears down the comfort he got knowing that he deserved his place as praetor bc of his strength. now its all gone

but after the war jason still keeps his place at rome, in fact, he gets a huge fucking promo and everything is fine. he realizes he doesnt NEED to be strong. someone out there can be stronger than him and thats okay. and hes happy that someone is his best bro. still, there’s part of him that is envious and broken.

and then there’s percy. the man who survived tartarus and almost killed a GODDESS with HER OWN POISON. he had to watch his girlfriend beg him to stop out of fear. hello??? bros probably a wreck inside, even if he can ignore it for the meanwhile. terrified of himself.

maybe its percy who mentions the blood bending. or maybe jason pries just a bit too much one time, but now pandora’s box is open and jason, with his already weak ego stomped on, asks for percy to use it on him.

if he can handle something a goddess couldnt, then surely he is strong! right?

and, of course, percy says no.

however, jason is a son of jupiter. and, naturally, does not take no for an answer. he keeps asking. prying. maybe even borderline begging.

the whole time percy is like wtf?? bro do u even realize what ur asking??? this is crazy????? but jason keeps on persisting.

and just like how it clicked for jason, it clicks of percy. he realizes that theres finally someone whos not scared of that side of him, albeit barely anyone does know that side. and how could he have his bro not be scared, but he himself be scared? that makes no sense!

anyhoo. just a little thought of mine. i love jercy, platonic or otherwise, where they both keep each other sane. (too blunt?) percy realizing that he doesnt have to be scared, but also knowing he doesnt have to be some insanely powerful demigod either. he always has jason to back him up.

i think comparing jercy is mid and an old convo to have. they both are cool in their own way. (not to say i dont think that percy would personally beat jasons ass 3/5 times.. but thats a conversation for another day… 👀)
