Catherine Todd/Sharmin Rosen (the spy lady that was a possibility for Jason's bio mom)
Sharmin Rosen, a Mossad agent, is tracking down the person who's trying to sell nuclear weapons. Jason Todd, the Robin, is trying to make sense of his roots. They meet at Catherine Todd's grave and come to a deal: Jason knows a lot about Gotham. Sharmin knows a lot about Catherine Todd, nee Johnson.
It starts like an intel exchange, and it ends up with finding a family.

You know how Sheila was one of 3 potential mothers (from Willis address book)
One's Sharmin Rosen, a Mossad agent (what?)
And the other is Lady Shiva (aka Cass mom)
Also on a totally unrelated note the longest time between a pair of twins being born is over a month
Like yeah, Cass has a canonical birthday but is it her actual birthday or was it picked
(If picked that raises the question of how did Jason get with the Todds, but like Sheila was a nonprofit doctor and I could see her trying to get child support but Willis was like "free child! Catherine will love that!)
And if it's actual there's a 7 month difference and I think (not fully certain) that a premie could survive
From what I know of Cass, I would 100% believe she doesn't know her real birthday and just picked something at random when asked.

Sorry to my Discord mutuals who's had to hear me talk about Asian!Jason Todd again and again but I am not even remotely joking: your racebent headcanons can and should feature Asian!Jason and here's why:
First and most obviously, 2 out of the 3 women on the list of possible bio mothers for Jason in ADITF aren't WASP-white. You have Sharmin Rosen, a presumably Israeli woman (considering that's the country she was working for), and Lady Shiva, who was at the very least written to be ethnically Other even if her origins hadn't yet been streamlined to the East Asian heritage she has today. If it could be reasonably suspected that these 2 women might be his bio mother, Jason must at the very least look ethnically ambiguous, possibly even looking like he's got heritage from anywhere between West Asia and Southeast Asia.
Jason has been repeatedly compared to Dick's likeness and one can only assume that's not just due to a similar build. If Dick has tanned skin but Jason is pale as a piece of untoasted white bread there's no way the average civilian wouldn't have spotted the difference between the 2 Robins (and the 2 Nightwings that one time he followed Dick to New York). Ergo Jason has tanned skin too, which supports my theory of him looking like he's got West or South Asian heritage.
I know you guys love to see Jason & mom!Talia having the relationship he never had with his other parents. Wouldn't it be nice if they even looked like they were related? And as a bonus he'd actually look like Damian's big brother too for those of you who are into that sibling match up
Also can you imagine the sheer comedy of Tim being the only Boy Wonder to ever show up at Batman's side looking a few shades paler than every other Robin who's ever Robin-ed

Any sex positive ya/na recs? Please and thank you
Yes okay! I definitely do not mind recommending my own books for this - Cool for the Summer, Home Field Advantage, Going Bicoastal, and Out on Good Behavior. L.C. Rosen is always reliable for this in gay YA - Jack of Hearts, Camp, etc, Jay's Gay Agenda by Jason June, Full Disclosure by Camryn Garrett, Margo Zimmerman Gets the Girl by Brianna Shrum and Sara Waxelbaum and Fresh by Margo Wood for sure. I haven't read Shara Wheeler to know if it specifically applies but I would definitely count Casey McQuiston's NA novels as sex positive. By Any Means Necessary by Cam Montgomery. I feel like the books I've read lately have all been pretty sex-positive and honestly I'm struggling to think of things that don't fit, but these are a good start!

Guys guys guys
Do we have an explanation for why Willis Todd had Sharmin Rosen, a secret agent?, and Shiva Woosan(? Literally lady shiva?) in his address book? Like what? Did they cover that at all later? Jason and B tracked them down to ask if they birthed Jason bc Willis knew them well enough to have their info is his stuff from Jason’s old apartment. Y did a Two Face worker know these women :0

How do you feel about the possibility of Sheila not being Jason's biological mother? I heard that some fans have interpreted Sheila's final words "he must have really loved his mother" to be a strong implication that she was in fact not his biological mom. Also, if we're being honest there were hardly any evidence to prove it save for Bruce noting that Jason had her eyes and Willis having her contacts (unless I'm misremembering things).
I just think it's interesting to entertain the idea that maybe, Jason's actual mother could still be alive. And that she is actually Sharmin Rosen, the first potential mom. Like looking back all Batman did was ask her if she was ever in Gotham to which she said no (she might have been lying for confidentiality/she and Willis met outside of Gotham) but like it's a pretty vague answer to an equally vague question. And afair Bruce didn't even explain why he asked her the question in the first place. Sheila could have assisted in her birth that's why she recognized Jason when they first met and also why Willis had her contacts.
And this theory just added so much new hc about Willis and I'm really interested to know your opinion about this.
i think starlin did intend for it to remain a bit vague, but this part of the theory is a bit silly...
more evidence would be in how shiva struggled to say "no" when asked about the parentage, for example (looking at newer comics you could say it relates to cass, but then it opens the door to the popular headcanon that they're siblings by this virtue; which i personally do not really care for). as you said, there's also the fact that there's actually not much to prove that it's sheila, and she is rather opportunistic from what we know. so sharmin does preserve as a potential candidate too and you could argue that the mystery remains unsolved.
but in the grand scheme of things, does it really matter? i always read sheila saying "he must have really loved his mother" to be about catherine. sheila, jason's biological parent or not, simply did not consider herself his mother, and so she was truly not. catherine was, because she's the one who cared for him and chose this role. and in seeking a mother out, jay was looking for this lost connection; as he always often finds himself to be, he was relapsing to the bargaining stage of grief. at the same time, he wanted something real, tangible, and stable, which a genetic relation seemed to provide. alas, we know that the blood (of the covenant) is thicker than water (of the womb.) that's also why i imagine this marginal space for theories has not been explored in comics (and i pray it never does); because who was jay's bio parent never mattered. at all.
