Heyyyy I love your dc stories and I wanted to ask if you maybe would write one for me.

Story would be: Teen trans!male reader that is (soon to be officially) adopted by the batfam and has been with them for a while. He didn‘t tell them he was trans and Jason was going into reader‘s room for a usb stick or something like that and sees blueprints and a handmade binder reader made so he can patrol better. Reader walks in on Jason staring at the binder and almost get‘s a panic attack. That is because the adoption is to be official soon and reader is scared that they would kick him out for being trans. Jason comforts him and it turns into a heart to heart. Dick and Tim were searching for their brothers bcs patrol starts soon and they didn‘t show up in the cave. They find them in reader’s room. And then fluff just ensues.

Four days. Four days until you become a legal member of the family. At first, you were ok keeping being trans a secret, but the closer the official adoption day came, the more anxious you became. Sure, Bruce donated to tons of LGBTQ+ charities and several of your brothers were on the queer spectrum, but how would he feel having a son who was…different?

Would he still want to adopt you? Even worse—you knew your family’s more private lives. How you had taken on a private life. What would happen when Bruce tosses you aside when he inevitably finds out?

You were sitting in the kitchen, scrolling on your phone and eating cereal despite it being around 12:00 am.

The door to the kitchen opened and you glanced up to see Jason coming in, clad in his Red Hood suit, save for the helmet.

“Yo, loser. You got a free usb? Need it for blackmail storage.” He asked casually.

You raised your eyebrows in a ‘seriously?’ expression and swallowed the bite in your mouth.

“Yeah, it’s in my room on my desk. Next to the lamp.” You went back to scrolling through your phone. “You better buy me another one, I need it for a school project.”

Jason just gave you a thumbs up and walked out of the kitchen. When he got to your room he walked to your desk and grabbed the usb, but something akin to blueprints caught his eye and he stopped to examine them.

‘Hope he doesn’t go snooping through my room, I could have embarrassing stuff lying around.’

You thought to yourself, taking the final bite of cereal.

‘Though I don’t know what he’d find—basically everything embarrassing is hidden or put away…’

You drank the milk from your bowl and got up to put it in the sink.

‘What did I even do in my room today?’

You were hardly paying attention to whatever was on your phone screen now.

‘basically just worked on making my binder and I put that away—‘

Your heart dropped to your stomach and suddenly the cereal wasn’t sitting well with you.

‘You didn’t put it away because you weren’t done with it tonight. You didn’t put it away because you were hungry.’

You dropped your bowl and it shattered on the kitchen floor. You ran as fast as you could to your room, through the broken shards of the bowl.

You practically threw yourself up the stairs and sprinted so fast to your room you almost passed it. You caught yourself on the doorframe, panting heavily. Your feet stung so much, you dropped to your knees.

To your horror, Jason held the design for your binder in one hand and the prototype in the other. Your throat constricted suddenly and you heaved for air. Jason looked at you and he dropped the binder and blueprints in his hand. He rushed to your side.

“Hey hey hey hey. What’s wrong? Are you hurt? Deep breaths. In for four, out for four. Follow my breathing.” Your older brother placed your hand on his chest and demonstrated the breathing patterns.

You followed to the best of your ability, focusing on being able to breathe so you could talk and explain and maybe—just maybe—have a chance to not blow this.

When you could breathe relatively normally again, you immediately began to explain.

“I swear—I swear—it’s not—I don’t—I just—PLEASE DON’T KICK ME OUT! YOU’RE THE ONLY REAL FAMILY I’VE EVER KNOWN AND—” You settled for when you couldn’t explain what was found out about you.

“HEY!” Jason snapped you out of your rambling. “Who said anything about being kicked out?”

You hadn’t even realized his arm was around your shoulders but it suddenly felt comfortably heavy. You rubbed away the tears that had gathered in your eyes and looked at him.

“First off, you’re still being adopted, ok? Nothing will change that.” He started with. “Second. What you’re doing is extremely dangerous. Why are you binding unsafely?”

You looked up at him.

“I just…I couldn’t bring myself to even consider coming out to you.” You gulped heavily, looking back to the ground. Jason’s arm tightens around you comfortingly.

“I’m sorry if we ever made you feel like that. I’m sorry if I ever made you feel like that.” Your older brother says sadly.

You shook your head ‘no’, leaning into him.

“It wasn’t your fault. I just didn’t have the courage…” You trail off.

“When I came out—it—“ Jason huffs a laugh. “Man—it was awful.”

You looked at him, urging him to keep going.

“Ok, so I found out I like guys and girls, right?” He was smiling now, adjusting himself into a more comfortable position. “But I was all anxious to come out, ya know? I found a guy I wanted to go out with and I didn’t wanna hide it from…dad.” You didn’t ignore Jason actually calling Bruce ‘dad’.

“—and this was before Dick came out so he had like barely any idea about labels and stuff—“ Your older brother continued. “So I stand up and tell him ‘Bruce, I’m bi.’” Jason paused.

“And?” You asked.

“I have never seen someone so smart, so confused. He says—entirely seriously—‘Jason, you only speak one language.’” Jason burst out into laughter.

You laughed with him. It felt nice. You felt seen, in a way.

Time passed, you’re not sure how long. Maybe an hour? It was long enough for two of your other brothers to take notice and look for their missing brothers, ready to berate them for being late to patrol.

You and Jason were on the floor wheezing after he had showed you some meme he found.

You heard a knock on the door and saw your two older brothers peer into your room. Dick titled his head and Tim raised an eyebrow at the state of you and Jason. Them walking in sobered you up a bit from your laughing fit. You swallowed and glanced at Jason. He sat up and nodded at you encouragingly.

Dick and Tim glanced between the two of you. You stood up and cleared your throat.

“I’m—I’m trans.” You ripped the band aid off.

Dick and Tim blinked owlishly at you. Tim talked first.

“So…your pronouns are—?” Tim started.

“—he/him.” You interrupted.

Tim nodded, still seeming to process the information. Your answer seemed to only confuse Dick more. Jason made eye contact with Dick and gave him a look of “say something, asshole.” That startled Dick from his stupor.

“Dude! I’m so proud!” He said gleefully, opening his arms for a hug, which you gladly gave.

Tim gave you a side hug too.

“Does Dad know?” Dick asked.

You shook your head

“No.” You sighed.

“You probably should tell him.” Tim patted you on the back.

“But what about the adoption—“ You were cut off by Jason.

“Hey, what did I say about the adoption?” Jason scolded.

You groaned. “Yeah yeah…coming out won’t change anything…” You sighed.

Your three older brothers nodded in approval which made you roll your eyes.

“We’re proud of you.” Dick smiled and ruffled your hair. “Bruce will be too.” He added.

“Proud of what?”

You looked to the door and saw your father standing in the doorframe.

You took a deep breath and walked over to your father.

“Dad, I’m trans.” Your voice cracked and you couldn’t meet his eyes.

A large hand rested on your shoulder. You looked at Bruce.

“Well we better make sure those adoption papers are correct then.” He smiled at you.

And you smiled back.

Summary: Jason comes back from work to find his boyfriend curled up on the sofa a bit dysphoric.

A/N: Gif is just a random one, imagine any Jason you want. Sorry this is so short, my own dysphoria was hitting and I didn't want to write about it too much.

Jason barges through the front door of his shared flat, the sound of the TV playing the music charts filling the hallway/living room, the big light turned off with only the microwave and TV glowing light into the room.

Roy, his good friend and room mate, stands near the microwave his eyes focused on the spinning burrito that cooks, his hand hovering near the door handle to quickly pull it open a second before it dings.

His eyes stay on the food as he greets Jason.

“Hello.” Jason greets, a pause in his step as he looks around for you his boyfriend, “Where’s (y/n)?”

“Sofa.” Roy states as his eyes shoot over the long corner sofa, the microwave dinging making him swear and grab the burrito off the spinning plate, “Ow, fuck, fuck.”

Jason almost lets out a chuckle as his best friend juggles a steaming burrito in his hands but he is beat to it by the melodic sound of his lover's laughing.

“Roy you better not drop my burrito!” you half yell from you place on the sofa, you voice grumbly and sounding deeper than normal, the lingering gruffness from the fact you were happily asleep before Roy elbowed you and asked if you wanted something to eat.

Taking up the larger portion of the corner sofa, clad in the comfiest pyjamas, a stolen wonder woman hoodie of Jason’s and a pile of heavy fluffy blankets that cover all but your head, here’s to say you’re you very own burrito.

Jason rounds the sofa and see you. He smiles at the first, the sight of his hoodie on you, the hood up and covering your head making your hair messy makes him feel warm inside but then his face goes stern and worried.

Without a word he walks over to you and bends down to place a kiss on the the little bit of exposed forehead not covered by hoodie fabric or slightly sweaty hair. His kiss lingers as a hand emerges from under the many layers and blankets and cradles his face.

“How my favourite hero?” you grumble, sleepy eyes looking up to his as he peppers your face with more welcomed kisses.

“I’m *kiss* doing *kiss* great.” he says as he lowers down to kiss you more.

“Oh, I meant Batman.” you cheekily smile causing your boyfriend to stop his kisses and pout like a naughty child, “Don’t be like that Jay, you know Wonder Woman is the best.”

“Humm, correct answer.” he kisses you once more before standing back up straight.

Jason pause and looks at you for a moment, something seeming off about you. Normally you’d hit back with a reply like ‘but Batman is the second best’ either that or you’d pull him down to kiss more but you don’t.

“You feeling alright?” he asks.

“Just a bit off.”

Off.

That only means one thing, you’re feeling so dysphoric that you just want to be swallowed up by the ground until you feel better.

The blankets around you are a protective shield from prying eyes, even if it’s just him and Roy there to see you, and even then his or Roy’s eyes aren’t prying at all. Normally you’d be outside on your day off seeing friends, going to cafes, having fun but now you’re just zooning out as another pop song plays on the telly.

“Do you want to talk about it or do you just want a hug?” Jason asks as Roy places a plated burrito on the coffee table followed by him flopping down in an armchair watching the charts.

“Cuddle.” you answer.

Despite still wear parts of his hero costume, sans the bulky stuff like his helmet, armour or boots, Jason plonks himself on top on you, his wide body sliding down the side of you and the sofa. You unravel your cocoon of blankets so he can wrap his strong arms around your soft middle, his chin resting on top of your head.

You fling your layers of blankets over him, engulfing him into the blanket burrito.

You’ll be ok, with Jason there you know you will, but just for now you’ll stay wrapped up warm inside where you feel safe and unseen.

There was nothing I could do aside from watch. Watch as he changed. Going from hopeful to hopeless. Watching every day how the life progressively seemed to fade from his glassy eyes. How his body became so broken apart that he no longer looked real. That's when I knew I couldn't just wait for Bruce. I couldn't sit and wait as all efforts ended fruitless. When I looked at him and caught my brain protecting itself, caught myself unable to process that the body on the screen wasn't rubber or plastic. So I looked for him. And I looked everywhere. Yet still I found nothing. No clue, no Joker, and no body. Weeks went by and the videos stopped. After six months of consistent updates, they all vanished. So either I was getting close, or he was dead. The feeling that thought brought me was something I couldn't process. It had been ten days since the last disc.

Today, though. Today was different. On my doorstep, a familiar square envelope laid perfectly in front of the door. I was calling Bruce before I could even realize what I was doing. Everything before it was a blur, really. My eyes were out of focus. I couldn't concentrate enough to have a coherent thought. The next thing I knew we were in the basement, watching again. My vision was clear, scanning every single detail of the room. The way Joker walked around my nearly-dismantled boyfriend. I could feel the acid of my stomach creeping up my throat. A clear shot rang just once. The power of the bullet having thrown him a few feet from where he originally sat. I watched as he choked on his own blood. Watched as his gasps turned into gurgles and slowly, painfully, nothing at all. It felt like time stopped with the last rise of his chest. Like, somehow the stillness of his body made the world stop turning. Everything seemed to disappear. The future, my happiness— shock wasn't present in my veins. It was like I had been gutted. And all I had been able to do was sit there as his life ended.

Can I request Jason Todd x FTM!Reader? It's kinda long, so take as much time as you need!

The Reader is a vigilante like Jason, they're close friends, maybe even best friends. They're attached to the hip, they hug all the time, hold hands, cuddle and stuff, so people assume that they're a couple.

The only problem is that Reader is known as D/N (dead name). He presents masculine, most people at the first glance think he's a boy until he introduces himself, so at some point everyone started using they/them pronouns when addressing him, even the people who knew him.

At some point Reader starts to isolate himself from everyone : he stops hanging out with Jason, he patrolled alone and was unusually quiet and sad. Jason tried to talk to him, but he always turned him down and avoided him.

Alfred noticed that Reader wasn't visist as often as he would and that Jason was sad, so he asked him what was wrong. Todd told him that Reader wouldnt talk to him and he was worried, because he didn't hear from Reader for over a week now. Alfred advised him to go and check on him, just to make sure that he's safe. Jason agreed and went to Reader's apartment, climbed through the window as no one was answering the door and found Reader on the couch, crying over a piece of paper.

When Reader noticed Jason he told him to get out, but when Jason told him no and called him by his dead name, Reader broke down and told him everything : that he isolated himself because he was scared, that it wasn't his name and that the piece of paper was a note from the doctor, saying that the doctor won't be helping him with hormonal therapy.

After he was done talking he just pointed at the door, telling Jason that he won't be mad if he walked out and never came back, but instead Jason just hugged him and told him that its gonna be okay, that they're gonna figure something out, about the doctor, the hormones, everything and that he won't ever leave him.

When Reader calms down Jason asks him about his real name and they just cuddle on the couch, talking quietly until Reader falls asleep, truly happy in a long time.
