Jimtober 2022 3. Crispy
(Inspired by the Fraggles.)
Jim was having nightmares. Not scary, just weird dreams. He was travelling in his breakfast mug, falling down and down in a cave. When he finally reached the floor, he wasn’t alone.
“Oh, no.” he groaned.
“Oh, yes!” exclaimed what looked like a carbon copy of himself but wearing a red jacket. The last time he had seen him had been at what he liked to call ‘The Clone War’. “What happened? You promised to make me a part of your life! And you left me here. That’s totally un-crispy for you.”
Jim scratched his head.
“No… I’m 100% sure I didn’t say that.”
Of all his clones, the one he despised the most was that one: Crispy Jim. Not only he reminded him of that time with the Grit-shaka and being a jerk and almost ruining his life, but also how cringy it was to see him again in the Clone War.
“You said you were going to balance us more evenly.” Crispy Jim added. “That we were all part of you.”
The second part was almost right. Jim noticed Crispy Jim was sad.
“Sorry, but I can’t let you out. You can be…  a little too much.” He was going to say ‘unsufferable’ but changed it at the last second.
“I’m just so bored here. You’ve pushed me to the bottom of you.”
Jim was feeling bad for him. But what else could he do? Yes, Crispy Jim was part of him, but he wasn’t the most prominent one.
“I’ll see what I can do, okay?” he said, after a deep sigh.
“Now that’s crispy!” exclaimed Crispy Jim, pointing gun fingers at him.
“Yep, yep, no need to thank me…”
However, as he tried to find a way to climb up the cave, Crispy Jim grabbed his arm.
“Before you go, there’s another Jim that wants to talk to you.”
Jim looked and, to his dismay, saw another clone, this time in an orange jacket.
“¡Hola!” said the newcomer. “Quiero hablar con el encargado.”

Barbara Gordon is a lost Clone of Jazz Fenton
So, years ago the GIW or Vlad or Somebody decided to try and clone Jazz. (Probably GIW)
It was supposed to be an experiment to see how well Liminals could be cloned, or if they could be turned back into a Human/turned even more Liminal. Unfortunately, the experiment took place around the same time Danny began his campaign to take down the GIW, attacking multiple bases across the US. The single Viable Clone that was created escaped the Lab it was held in during the attack and ran into the nearby City, Gotham.
The Clone managed to survive on the streets for a few weeks before being found by a Cop named Jim Gordon, and adopted.
She was given a new name, Barbara Gordon, and she mostly forgot that portion of her life before getting her new Family.
Then, over a decade later, Barbara Gordon was shot in the Spine and paralyzed. Or, she should have been. See, as it turns out the Scientists managed to impart just a little bit of Liminality into her when they made her, not enough to be noticeable but just enough to let her heal from wounds that should have been permanent. (Basically any wound will heal if given enough time, nothing is permanent)
It did take a while, but since the wound never stopped healing like it should have, she eventually regained the ability to use her legs after about 3 years.
Also, while her spine was healing her Linimal Powers were activate for the first time in her life, meaning her Ecto-Signature was more powerful than usual. That meant that it could be sensed for the first time ever.
So one day, after a shift at the Library, Barbara is on her way home when a lady walking past her stops and starts stating intently at her.
Ellie didn't expect to meet her new sister like this, but life (afterlife?) works in strange ways.

Yeah, been watching Justice League
Tw!! Mentioned child trafficking, not focused on, just mentioned on the side for reasons.
.・゜-: ✧ :-
Again, they lost him again.
Dick hates it.
They uncovered multiple Meta-trafficking bases and put a stop to Every. Single. One.
Yet each time, they lose only single pot with a young teen inside.
Each time intercepted by weaponised meta children and other thugs.
Nightwing swears on the blue logo on his chest, he will get that boy out.
Cost it what it will.

During drill exercises
Spar: “Damn I’m thirsty, can I get a drink from your canteen 17?”
Alpha-17: “Go for it.”
Fordo: “Trust me Spar, you don’t want to do that.”
Spar: “I’m not scared of a little back wash vod, we’re literally all the same person.”
Spar: *spits it out as soon as he takes a fat swig.*
Spar: “God damn it, it’s vodka!”
Alpha-17: “131 proof strait up. I’ve been waisted since the day we graduated.”

One element that I always loved about Dan Slott's run on Superior Spider-Man was just how accepting and open-minded Otto Octavius was towards his love-interest Anna Maria Marconi!

And this element of Otto & Anna Maria’s relationship even carried over to the pages of The Clone Conspiracy event limited series!

In the first episode of the Clone High reboot, "Let's Try This Again" when Principal Scudworth sings a parody of "We Didn't Start the Fire," and sings "only reboots on TV," a picture of Jen and Kira is shown even though The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance is being referenced.

In What Are Little Girls Made Of, there is something so adorable about jim, completely trapped, his only chance to be saved is by possibly planting a false idea into the androids mind, deciding to go with being a prick to spock because that would be so out of character it would warrant looking into

Teenage superhero groups are so good. Not only because they're always really fucking relatable, but also because their relationships are so special. They're like:
“I met you, and I was weary of you at first. We've become closer and closer to the point we trust eachother with our lives, but still not with our identities — it's sad, but it's how it is.
You've cried to me about how your mentor didn't listen to you, about how they yelled at you and didn't seem to care enough. I've cried to you about how my life is so lonely, about how being a hero is taking away my life, about how I can't be a teenager anymore because I can't rest without feeling like someone will die because of me not being there.
We've fought together, and we've fought eachother. We've cried together, laughed together and yelled together. We've saved the world together. We were never meant to be apart.
The other day, you were brainwashed and turned evil. You were tortured, striped away of your own being. We tried to help you anyway, even if our mentors told us not to. We still spent hours shopping for a birthday gift you'd like a few months later.
We're slowly growing up, and we're leaving the safety of our mentors's cloaks. We're going through different paths; always down, always falling, but not as together as we were before.
Some of us have found our own proteges. I'd like to say I'm better with mine than my own mentor was with me, and I hope you are the same.
Our proteges have found eachother the same way we did. The happiness from seeing me in your face was everything I needed to be convinced to stay with you.
We've been getting the others to come back, too. We're also recruiting new people, new young heroes who will get themselves killed if they're not guided properly. We're not the same young kids anymore, but we're together once again, and that's all that matters.
We grew up very quickly. I can see it from the way we don't laugh as much anymore, from the way we're the one attempting to stop the younger ones from pulling pranks on us, from the way we train instead of being trained.
We're all adults now. There was a time where we lost ourselves, and we wouldn't find us anymore. A time where I went to our old lair and saw it empty, devoid of life. A time where I tried to call you and you didn't answer. A time where I saw you on TV, with a kid by your side, looking at you like you're their entire world.
We're adults now. We've lost ourselves many times. But we've found eachother again. And I think that's what matters. Because we're not only teammates anymore; we're family.”
Or something like that idk, I suck at writing
