Tarot Is A Game (and It's Fine)
It started with "the tarot was created by the Egyptians". It developed into "the tarot was created by Kabbalists". Now some want to convince us that the tarot was created by Mary Magdalene or the Cathars or whatever. Some people are desperate for a cool and broody origin story, as if it could justify the fact that they shuffle little pieces of cardboard for answers about life (or to justify the price tag to the saps they try to sell books to).
Professional historians have pretty much concluded that the tarot is simply a beautifully illustrated medieval Italian card game with allegorical pictures that most people back in those days would have been able to immediately recognize. So the tarot was not created for divination, fortune-telling or hiding deep secrets. So what? Tea leaves aren't created to be read, nor clouds to be skried into. Dice were created to have fun, yet witches roll them to get answers. What better than a card game to reflect the playful interrelation of events in the game of life?

Tarot card interpretation tip's
A short list on possible meanings of the same minor arcana card but from different suits. Kinda like this:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
· · ────── ꒰ঌ·✦·໒꒱ ────── · ·
( I transcribed an old cheat sheet from when I was learning tarot myself, I think this one is from 2014 I do kinda keep this in mind to this day tho)
Please take into consideration that this is overly simplified and its most likely that you will have reversed cards and upright cards on the same reading, and that you should always be able to read the whole context and see the full picture even if having one minor arcana repeating itself in all suits. And, as usual, whenever you're learning new ways of interpreting don't loose your own ways and don't take them as something set in stone. Having your own personal interpretations based on the concepts already associated with the cards (by tradition or by experience of other readers) is always valuable and it enriches the learning experience for you and if you read for others, also for them.

How to Start Your Book of Shadows or Grimoire
No matter where you are in your witchcraft journey, it’s always a good time to start recording your knowledge, rituals, and spells in your very own book of magic. Book of Shadows vs Grimoire? What’s the difference? Well, in a nut shell, a Grimoire is a magick book to be shared to the general public, while a book of shadows is to be kept to ones self or coven. If you would like a more in depth…

📖 Journaling 101 📖
Common questions I find from beginners are:
How do I begin?
It’s as simple as finding something to write with and something to write on!
Try looking up different journaling styles! Nitpick what you like, what you’d like to try out, and make a Frankenstein of a journal using all those pieces.
What tools do I need?
Personalize your stationery to what suits you!⤵️
Something to attach things to your journal! Could be anything from staples, glue, tape, paperclips, etc.
Something to write with! Could be anything like a pencil, marker, pen, crayon, etc.
Something to cut with like scissors or a precision blade, but honestly you can tear into things, too!
And if you’re not a fan of scribbling out mistakes, some correction tape and white-out never hurt.
What do I write about?
Anything and everything!
You don’t even have to write to make a journal. (Yes! You can fill a journal entirely with stickers, doodles, and receipts and call it day!)
So, what are some useful tips when starting?
Here are some things I’ve learned since I’ve began the hobby, that might be useful to consider:
Do not compare your journal to others posted online!!!
We tend to share our best pages and what we are most proud of, but our entire journal does not look that way! Some pages have smears, ink bleeds, torn and crinkled pages—do not let that discourage you! There is no such thing as a perfect journal!
Don’t fall into the trap of overconsumption!
This is something I myself am guilty of. There are many pricey journals, tools, stationery, etc. that are very tempting to buy, but the truth is you don’t need any of that (especially when starting). Find out what you like first, where your passions lie, what motivates you to continue, and then invest in those areas.
Know thy self.
It’s easier to find what works for you if you’re honest about who you are. I’m a very meticulous person who enjoys organization, so a bullet journal system with lists, dates, and habit tracking is perfect for me. Does that sound like a nightmare to you? Try junk journaling, scrapbooking, or stream-of-consciousness writing that obliterates the needs for organizational systems.
The ‘right’ way to journal
Journaling, I’ve come to find, it mainly about leaving the footprint of your present self for your future self. As long as your journal reflects who you are at the time of writing, instead of portraying a false version of yourself. Ultimately, you don’t want to someday flip through the pages of someone who never existed to begin with. Flipping through old journals should feel like time traveling, witnessing your growth with every page turn.
The main take-away?
➡️ A journal is a self reflection
➡️ Every journal is unique, just as we are
➡️ Journaling is a practice of self-honesty
➡️ You define what the ‘right’ way of journaling means

Planner Setup 101: Making Your Planner Work for You
A Step-by-Step Guide to Boosting Organization and Efficiency
Your planner isn’t just a notebook with dates—it’s a tool for transforming chaos into clarity. But too often, we try to cram our lives into someone else's idea of “organized.” What if your planner actually worked for you, not the other way around?
Let’s walk through how to set up a planner that fits your life, your goals, and your rhythm. Whether you’re brand new to planning or looking to refresh your current system, this step-by-step guide will help you create a setup that’s both functional and empowering.
Step 1: Choose the Right Planner for You
There’s no one-size-fits-all approach. Ask yourself:
Do you prefer digital or paper?
Do you like daily breakdowns, weekly views, or monthly overviews?
Do you need portability, or do you keep your planner on your desk?
Don’t be afraid to experiment until you find the format that clicks. It should feel like an extension of your brain—not a burden.
Step 2: Define Your Planner’s Purpose
Be clear about why you’re using a planner. Is it to:
Track appointments and deadlines?
Manage projects or business tasks?
Build habits and routines?
Prioritize self-care and mental wellness?
All of the above?
Once you define the purpose, you can design your layout accordingly. This step prevents overwhelm and helps you stay focused.
Step 3: Create Your Core Sections
Every effective planner has key sections that reflect your priorities. Here are a few you might include:
Monthly Calendars: For long-term planning and key events
Weekly Spreads: For mapping out tasks and routines
Daily Pages: For detailed to-dos, time blocking, or journaling
Goals: Break big dreams into achievable steps
Habit Trackers: Build consistency, one day at a time
Notes/Ideas: Capture inspiration when it strikes
Only include what you’ll actually use. A bloated planner can quickly become a dusty one.
One of my daily spreads that helps me keep my day on track and aligned with my overall goals:
Tumblr media
Step 4: Customize with Intention
This is where your planner truly becomes yours. Add:
Color coding or labels for quick reference
Stickers or washi tape if you’re creative (and motivated by visuals)
Tabs, bookmarks, or dashboards for easy navigation
Inserts or templates that reflect your lifestyle—like meal planning, finance tracking, or project management
Customization isn’t just for aesthetics—it boosts usability.
One of my favorite custom spreads:
Tumblr media
Step 5: Set a Planning Routine
A planner only works if you use it. Set aside time regularly to:
Review your week every Sunday (or your reset day)
Check-in each morning to adjust tasks or priorities
Do a monthly reflection to reset your goals and intentions
This habit turns planning into a rhythm, not a chore.
Step 6: Give Yourself Permission to Adjust
Your life changes. So should your planner. Don’t be afraid to revise your layout, simplify sections, or even switch systems if something’s not working. Flexibility is the key to sustainability.
Final Thoughts
A well-set-up planner doesn’t just organize your time—it helps you own it. Whether you’re juggling multiple roles or simply trying to stay sane in a busy world, your planner should serve you.
Remember: It’s not about having the perfect planner. It’s about creating a space that supports your unique goals, pace, and priorities.
So take a deep breath, grab your favorite pen, and start building a system that lets you thrive.

so i started journaling (aside from my junk journal) and i was looking for fun prompts. like not the usual things like "goals for this week" or "habit tracker" stuff but more like "introducing my favourite movies" and "doodle collage" (taken from my recent entries). something to have a good time, not to improve myself like most prompts i see. so if anyone has ideas or did a similar thing with their own journal, hit me up

my parents turned a downstairs room into their new bedroom and renovated everything, bought a new bed, mattress, curtains and all the rest, but they kept this dalmatian that i gave my father when i was a child because i was worried that he would be lonely in bed because he didn't have a single stuffed toy...
