Regulus had an affinity for the pen and paper.

It was a way to express himself without talking, though still talking in a sense. He could use as many metaphors as he wanted without being called pretentious. Or he could reveal as little as he wanted without being forced to say more.

Usually, everything would be about Death Eater duties. How much he grew to hate the Dark Lord. How crazy his cousin was, and how stupid her husband was to not notice her obvious affair with the Dark Lord.

But recently, it had become more about you.

You seemed to be slowly healing the things in him that he never even realized were broken. For example, you helped him realize just how bad his parents were, even if you didn’t have the full picture. You helped him deal with his ‘evil boss man’, or the fact he had nobody else to rely on other than Kreacher.

When he was younger, he would miss his brother. A bit older, and it would be his friends. He wasn’t sure if either group even cared for him that much.

Now anytime he missed anything, it was you. And this time, he knew you cared.

It radiated off you so easily, it wasn’t something he could ignore. No amount of overthinking or doubting things could ever lead him to that conclusion. It almost made him want to self-sabotage sometimes, feelings of unworthiness mixing with the warmth running through his veins whenever he hung out with you. He figured you were better without him anyways.

Kreacher had hit him for five minutes straight the last time he suggested that.

He sighed, palm rubbing his forehead as he mindlessly scratched it against the paper, words flowing out of him before he could even think of them himself. He’d grown to an automated system for himself, draining his thoughts before he

Regulus turned around curiously, looking at Kreacher. “What’s up?”

Kreacher looked at Regulus before his eyebrows furrowed, his feet carrying him over to Regulus’ desk. “May Kreacher ask what Master Regulus is writing?”

Regulus smiled softly. He didn’t trust people, but he trusted Kreacher. He’d already saved his life once, along with helping him take one step closer to taking down the Dark Lord. “Yeah, sure.”

Kreacher grabbed the paper as Regulus handed it to him, his eyes darting over it. “Miss Y/N?”

“You know that.” Regulus whispered quietly.

Kreacher smiled softly, pointing at a specific part of the paper. “I think she would like this.”

Regulus’ eyes darted to the part Kreacher had pointed to, the ink dripping making it a bit harder to read.

His cheeks were a bit flushed by the time he finished, eyes darting over the words he had written.

It sounded so right.

“I believe you can use this, Master Regulus.” Kreacher said with a smile.

“Use it for what?” Regulus asked confusedly.

Kreacher looked at him with an expression that spoke the word ‘really?’ into the room, so much so he could sense the sarcasm radiating off Kreacher. “Kreacher knows more about romance than Master Regulus believes.”

“Oh really?” Regulus challenged him.

“Even if Kreacher did not know anything, Kreacher would still be able to sense how much Master Regulus loves Miss Y/N.” he said. “Perhaps Master Regulus should confess his feelings to Miss Y/N.”

“Would she even say yes?” Regulus asked confusedly. “I’ve only known her for, like, a week.”

Kreacher nodded at that, placing the paper down on the desk. “Kreacher believes writing about Miss Y/N until your hands grow tired will not help Master Regulus’ crush.”

“I know that.” Regulus groaned, banging his head against the table. “Kreacher, why is this so difficult?”

“Perhaps it is because Master Regulus has never felt loved before.” Kreacher said, looking down at him with an innocent expression.

Regulus sat up at that, his mouth dropped. “Kreacher!”

Kreacher only smiled, hopping off the desk. “Kreacher shall be in the kitchen, should Master Regulus need it.”

“You are so cruel.” Regulus groaned, looking down at the words he had written. How would he even confess with them in the first place? A letter in an envelope, maybe. With some flowers, he knew your favorite. But would you accept them?

Did you even like him back?

Regulus groaned again, putting his ink and quill back in their spots. He stood up abruptly, feet dragging him towards the bed he had been calling home recently.

Regulus realized that he was running out of time.

He stood in front of a mirror, shirtless with his arm on full display. The Dark Mark was still there, loud and proud as it burnt his arm. He refused to touch it, not wanting to give the Dark Lord any power or access to him. As far as the Dark Lord knew, he was dead.

He didn’t have much of a choice when it came to touching it anymore though.

“Kreacher!” he called.

Kreacher came as he called, looking at Regulus with a slightly bewildered expression. Regulus figured it was because of his voice, he had never called so demandingly before. He sounded like Sirius.

He hated sounding like Sirius.

“Is something wrong, Master Regulus?” he asked.

Regulus sighed, looking down at Kreacher. “I need you to help me with something.”

“Anything, Master Regulus!” he said hurriedly, noting the urgency in Regulus’ voice. “What is it?”

“I’m going to drag the magic from this to the center,” Regulus said as he pulled out a knife, unfolding it from its sheath and handing it to Kreacher. “I need you to cut the Dark Mark off.”

“Cut it off?” Kreacher asked incredulously.

Regulus nodded. “It’s the only way, I have bandaids somewhere here. I need your help, Kreacher. Please.”

Kreacher looked at him before sighing. “Knife.”

Regulus smiled faintly, handing Kreacher the knife and sitting down on a small cushion. He felt a small layer of sweat already building, though he wasn’t sure if it was from adrenaline, anxiety, or anticipation. Maybe it was all three, the three big A’s he needed to feel all at once in order to feel alive.

“Whenever you’re ready, Master Regulus.”

Regulus sighed softly, breathing in air before letting it out. He held the tip of his wand to the Dark Mark, a small white light appearing at the tip. His skin started burning like the night he got it, all of the magic coming front and center to his epidermis**.** Some of it floated up in the air around it, hovering like a beast waiting.

“Now,” he said.

Kreacher made quick work of the Dark Mark, quickly cutting into his flesh and filleting his arm like one would a fish. It was sharp and quick, the dark magic trapped inside of the cut off skin.

“Fuck,” Regulus gritted through his teeth. He grabbed a small trash bag he had enchanted to keep the magic trapped, placing the long strip of cut skin inside of it. That way, at the very least, it wouldn’t be able to escape.

Now all he had to worry about was the blood.

“Master Regulus is rather impulsive.” Kreacher stated, healing Regulus’ arm. He couldn’t do much, which meant that the wound was still bleeding. Even still, it was much better than what it was before. He grabbed the bandaids and wrapped them as tight as he could around Regulus’ wrist.

“Thank you, Kreacher.” Regulus whispered.

“You’re welcome.” Kreacher said, looking up at Regulus. “Would you like some tea?”

Regulus was still panting from the pain, nodding slowly. “Yeah. Please.”

this part might not make the most sense in the entirety of the series, mainly because i wrote this before i wrote the other two parts that i posted today. i think it still matches overall though? so imma post it anyways bc i CAN

Yuu and The Housewardens (SPOILERS FOR ALL THE BOOKS, BOOK 7 EXCLUDED)

A thing I really wanted to talk about was the amount of times Yuu has interacted with them during their own books

Because a few months ago I think I saw someone complain about how we only interacted with Leona a few times in his own book, and then I realized that in book 2, 5, 6 and 7, we aka Yuu barely interacted with the respective housewarden.

These obviously parallel the original movies, the amount of interactions or times we've met with each housewarden represent the times when the original villains actively participated to bring down the protagonist.

Just to clarify, twst doesn't follow the plot of the original movies 100%, there are some tweaks in plot as seen in book 1 where we met with riddle a few times more compared to alice and the queen of hearts(who have literally only met one time, but the duration was pretty long)

In book 2, the plot rlly isn't that different from the original. We met Leona and Ruggie earlier even before book 2 started just like how Scar and the hyenas were present before Simba was born. We interacted with him again when going to Savanaclaw to investigate the "accidents", and then finally the showdown between overblot!Leona and Heartshackle(counting Cater and Riddle). It's the same way in The Lion King, Simba has like 2 on screen interactions with Scar before their showdown at the end.

Book 3 was very Yuu-centric, and that's because Ursula was incredibly active in trying to take down Ariel, much more effort compared to the previous two. Ariel had to take things into her own hands, very much like Yuu when their friends got roped into doing basically free labour for Azul. I don't think anymore needs to be added here.

Now onto book 4, also incredibly Yuu-centric! The Sea Witch and the Sorcerer of Sands are not that different in terms of taking care of their adversaries, after all. Aladdin was actively trying to mess with Jafar from day 1, and Jamil decided to avenge his ancestor by sending us off to the edge of the world/j (i dont believe in the great 7 being the overblot boys' ancestors🙏)

Book 5!! Time to talk about my Vil💜 Despite having to live under the same dust-laden roof of Ramshackle dorm, we barely talked with the gorgeous housewarden, obviously referencing how Snow White and the Evil Queen probably barely(or never) talked to each other despite living in the same castle. Though Evil Queen is more active in taking down Snow White after she finds out she's alive, I wish they'd(the writers) included more scenes where we talk and chat with Vil, even if it's just him insulting us💀(no im not saying this as a vil simp whatareyoutalkingabout/hj)

Woohoo we're on book 6🗣️ Hades was so sure that Hercules was dead and never bothered to double check lfmao, unlike Scar who would've been wasting resources and time, couldn't Hades, just like, teleport😭😭😭???

Okay getting off track here, my point is Hercules and Hades are probably the only hero and villain on this list where they'd met multiple times(ignoring jafar since aladdin didn't rlly know he was evil) Yuu definitely had their time to shine in book 6 and all the other characters had been amazing in this book. We had more Idia screentime around the start and the end, but with adequate screentime midway too. Say what you want but book 6 was my favourite.

Book 7 is still ongoing, as it has since I've joined the fandom😭🙏 But did Aurora even interact with Maleficent??? Someone PLEASE let me know, as book 7 is yet to finish, I won't be making assumptions

Trying to design my own interpretation of Jekyll and Hyde, and toying with this silly idea that i don’t know if could work but i like:

I really like the idea of having a Hyde design that resembles Jekyll A LOT. I really love the designs where they directly contrast, but i also love the idea that Hyde is just a younger, scruffier looking Jekyll.

This, from a plot standpoint, would be a bad idea, cuz it could potentially ruin the plot twist in the original book. But, i do think that maybe it wouldn’t. Hear me out.

I think that maybe, definitely, a lot of characters already have their implied biases on a lot of eachother— ESPECIALLY Jekyll. He’s good, he’s charitable, he’s friendly. Unable to do wrong. I think that it’d be really interesting that these biases could impact the way that the characters view Hyde: like sure, he looks like Jekyll, but he isn’t. He couldn’t be. So they turn a blind eye to the idea. It would say something not only of Jekyll’s character and people like him, but would comment on the public as well and their inability to see what they don’t want to believe, even if it’s right there in their faces (like a certain someone we know.. cough Jekyll)

Even people Jekyll knows and loves dearly could fall victim to this line of thinking. Utterson, mainly. I do think that a few people would see through it and suspect more, but not a lot (Maybe Lanyon, or if we want to involve the musical, Stride. Or actually maybe NOT Lanyon because he doesn’t want to believe that Jekyll’s experiment could work anyway. I dunno, it’s whatever you wanna interpret with whatever is going on with their beef in the book). it could cause a lot of potential tension anyway between Hyde and these suspicious characters, with Hyde (and maybe even Jekyll— actually, scratch that, definitely Jekyll) having to do something to shut them up.

Again, i don’t know if it’s what I’ll actually do, but I’ve been toying with the idea and really liking it. Sorry for the yap session and if anything i said didn’t make sense, I’m js screaming in my cave.

smth interesting I've been thinking abt, zams tendency to survive "you know how to survive but not to live" as kab said, and in the s4 clown fight someone (ferre I think) said he had a survival playstyle, zam doesn't play to win but to survive, zam as a character is used to taking loss after loss, however with his oath as a protector, it can end up with him being the one to survive longer while others die around him, struggling to protect them

BUT it's absolutely pissing me the fuck off over how the political/government figures have started jumping on the 'moral policing' bandwagon over ranveer's comments on india's got latent. sure, what he might've said was crass. maybe slightly offensive too. but seriously? FIRs? court cases? for THAT?! so what you mean to say is that our country, despite being plagued with so MANY deep-rooted social evils, they choose to focus on this? like, they think this is a good cause to actually advocate for?

this is fucking nuts, i swear. we may make fun of america all we want, but we're literally no better atp. also, with the latest modi-trump meet where he literally endorsed MIGA, i genuinely cannot fathom how much worse this will get. and to believe that all of this, is barely a scratch/dent on surface level.

religious sentiment ≠ policy. i hate, HATE how they've transformed 'religion' as a weapon — to aid them in situations, to evade controversies, but only when it's convenient. yet, how can i even blame them, they've never had to face a competent opposition since 2014. you might as well just call us an 'autocratic' nation, and i'd probably believe you — the sheer amount of unconsolidated power that ONE party holds over the entire nation is scary, and will invariably lead to our downfall progressively. even after all this, they'll call the people who want to leave this shitty nation as 'traitors'.
