Best exam tip you will get!
Just wanted to say this seen as how it's exam season; doing multiple all-nighters in a row will never be worth it.
I'm not even saying this in the sense that your grades will suffer because of this and you do better when you've had sleep (which is 100% true). I'm talking for the sake of your mental and physical health. Grades will never be more important than your wellbeing. I know that can be hard to acknowledge with all the pressure being put on you. But this is coming from someone with experience in this!
Pulling all-nighters to cram was quite literally my study strategy for all of secondary school. I was already dealing with multiple severe mental health problems (in particular depression) before my Junior Cert (Irish exam you take at 15), but studying like this cause it to take a serious down turn. I would be up all night or only sleeping for maximum 3 hours for two weeks straight. This triggered very severe insomnia for the rest of the whole Summer. I didn't even get to rest after my exams. It really broke me and come TY (4th year) my mental health was the worst it's ever been and I required hospitalization. I've needed hospital care for mental health a few times since then as well, but never that bad.
My point is, DON'T DO IT! Sure I got good enough grades in the end, but honestly I could've got the same if not better had I slept and took care of myself. I'll never know if had I not done this, my breakdown would have been less severe, but it couldn't have helped.
Especially if you are in secondary/ high school. Your brain is growing and developing, don't fuck it up. Also girl it's the Junior Cert, chill.
I am now almost finished my undergraduate in college. I never do all-nighters now. I have an exam tomorrow and I'm about to go to bed early. My grades are great!

im here to wish my fellow 3rd year (but most importantly 6th year) students good luck in your junior and leaving certs
you have fought a brave battle these last few years, and i am not going to give you some bullshit 'good luck' speech, instead i am going to tell you that none of it matters, but if you're having multiple panic attacks over it like me, it's ok, really
just because it doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things, doesn't mean it doesn't matter to you
and with that, don't beat yourselves up over it, just relax, eat your breakfast (you need to eat, it's important) and hydrate or die-drate bitch
the school system is shit and i swear to god i will give the department of education a piece of my fucking mind one of these days, but for now, good luck my friends

Jk Maths
For many when they hear "JK" they think of the evil bitch queen. And for just as many the word "maths" strikes just as much fear. But this is one of my favourite resources and I swear by it.
Covers everything from junior cert (12-15) to leaving cert (15- graduation) aswell as applied maths (stuff that is even more advanced than higher level leaving cert maths)
Why I love it:
Organised into strands for clarity and so you can find everything easily as can be seen here
Tumblr media
At the bottom of the image, you might have noticed a strand with the words "exam paper resources" with some.. Decoration. I am a BIG fan of exam papers, I love them, I love being able to check each question off and colour in my grids, I love being able to see my progress and actually make sense of the work and what I need to learn. Exam papers are ALWAYS golden to me
Within each strand you can find the main chapters of that strand, when you click on them, it will bring you to the section with all if the resources for that particular chapter. Image below
Tumblr media
But here's what the ACTUAL resources are:
-Tutorial videos on how to do every single question in that chapter
-Real life application sheet. It shows you how it could be useful to you
-Revision summary. This is essentially visual notes on everything in the chapter. And there are notes for both the higher level and ordinary level, so everyone get what they need. The image below is a blurred out version of the notes on the Leaving Cert coordinate geometry of the line
Tumblr media
-Revision questions such as these
Tumblr media
Along with worked out answers to show you how the question looked when worked out, because with Maths, you learn nothing from just looking at an answer, a calculator could do that. You need to be able to show how you did the question. Why turn away free marks when you know how to do the question.
These resources are available for every topic on each maths curriculum in secondary education in Ireland. And they're all free. Why not take advantage of them

so I just left my examination centre and my friend told me weirdest fucking thing just happened in the exams ever.
for context, me and my friend are assigned to different examination centres because we go to different schools.
picture this, you're sitting down, nervous as all hell, waiting for your examiner to hand out the papers as someone storms in the room 5 minutes before the exam starts, WITH 24 APPLE JUICE BOXES.
'okay completely normal' ,you think, maybe they're high, who knows.
they plop down the boxes beside their seat.
midway through the exam you start hearing crinkling at the back of the room.
THE FUCKER WAS CHUGGING ALL THE JUICE BOXES IN THE MIDDLE OF THE EXAM. WHAT THE FUCK.
the examiner looks at them shakes their head and looks back down at their tea, catching their head in their hands.
the examiner didn't even check the boxes to see if they were cheating. weirdest thing ever.
for further context this same guy fucking BLENDED HIS FINGERS DURING HIS COOKERY EXAM.
