Happy Birthday

♡  pairing: jaden Hossler  x fem!reader ♡  summary: you meet Jaden at your birthday party. You’re not a party person so when Tara throws you a surprise birthday party, you're not a happy camper. You’re not very social so half of the people (more like 90%) that showed up you didn’t know. Not even halfway through you needed a break of the noise and the people. You weren’t the only one. ♡  wordcount: 450 ♡  warnings: reader smokes, partying, drinking. (drink responsibly, kids and don’t smoke!)

The cold air greeted your face. It was a pleasant feeling that you were in dire need for.. You scared yourself a little when you looked to your left. A few feet away from you sat a guy. A guy you had never seen before like pretty much everyone else at this party. 

“You don’t mind, right?” You asked sheepishly. 

“Oh, no,” he gestured his hands to the chairs around him. “Go ahead.”

You gave him a tight-lipped smile. Once you sat down, you grabbed a pack of cigarettes from your pocket. Quickly lighting one and taking a drag. All the while, the guy hadn’t stopped looking at you. 

“That’s not good for you, you know,” He said without malice.

“Neither is cursing they say,” You smiled at him, “But fuck it.”

He smiled back at you. Behind him, you could still hear the loud bass coming from the soundboxes. You took another drag.

“I’m Jaden, by the way,”

“Y/n,” You replied simply.

“No way,” He sat up straight, one hand leaning on his thigh. “Not Birthday girl, y/n.”

“Well,” You laughed lightly, “I suppose so.”

“Happy birthday,” He leaned back, his eyes still trained on you. 

After a small thanks, the two fell into silence. He never looked away. Surprisingly, it didn’t freak you out. Hell, you hadn’t even noticed. Too cooped up in your mind. 

“So, birthday girl,” He spoke up out of nowhere.  “If this is your birthday party, why are you outside? Not enjoying it?”

You took a deep breath. “No, I’m not a party person actually,”

He looked at you confused. 

“Oh,” You laughed lightly, waving it away. “Tara set this up. I might’ve let it slip that I never had a birthday party before.”

“Aah,” Jaden nodded his head.

You sighed leaning back in your chair. It was no lie you were annoyed.

“It’s a big deal here,” He said. “Tara’s parties are always the best.”

“I know,” You said, “That’s why I can’t just leave you know. God, I don't want to know how much she spent on this.”

“Yeah, you can’t,” He smirked slightly.

“Goddamnit,” You cursed with a smile, “I was really hoping you’d tell me that I could just leave.”

He laughed at this too.

“Oh, there you are!” The loud voice of Tara disrupted the peace of the outside. “It’s time for your birthday cake, y/n.”

You smiled at her, you felt completely regenerated to pretend to enjoy the party again. 

With big steps, your friend grabbed you by the arm and dragged you away inside. 

Before you were fully swept away you looked back and smiled at Jaden. Not knowing when you’d see him again.

1. Idk how to start this off other than to say thank you. It really is weird to randomly see your own post on another website without being asked for permission but I guess it is what it is, at least they kept my name in the post 😃

2. Anyway- as you put it “more importantly”, yes I do want to share more Tim music taste head canons :)

First of all, I actually made a playlist on Spotify based off what I think he listen to, if anyone wants to listen

It’s mainly emo rock, alt/indie music, some soft metal and a little RNB. There’s also some rap in there

(And some pop songs because- reluctantly- pop songs can be good, although he would never admit that out loud.)

(Note: I’m going to assume that you made a typo and it was supposed to say glorb and not glorbo bc the band glorbo has 500 listeners monthly(which isn’t a bad thing, but it would be an insane coincidence if we both listened to that band) and also they don’t really make weird music. Anyway- I’d agree that Tim would listen to glorb occasionally, but I think he’d get overwhelmed pretty quickly)

MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE - our little stalker was introduced to mcr when he was in middle school bc one of the older kids told him he looked like a Gerard Way wannabe(which he did not, but what does a 12 year old know)- he looked the guy up and was like “hm, I wonder what his music sounds like” and then he fell down the rabbit hole. His favourite mcr song is You Know What They Do To Guys Like Us In Prison

I DON’T KNOW HOW BUT THEY FOUND ME - the first time I heard the song MAD IQs I thought “this is literally Tim Drake as a song”. IDKHOW is the perfect amount of weird and funky for Tim, and I can just imagine him jamming in his room to the entire RAZZMATAZZ album. He found IDKHOW one random Thursday when he was like 16 while watching some obscure video essay on YouTube. His favourite IDKHOW song is obviously MAD IQs

JXDN - ngl this is probably just a projection of my own music taste. But look at his merch

Bad Omens - another projection bc this band has taken over my life. Tim would go around the manor singing THE DEATH OF PEACE OF MIND quietly and Jason would be following him trying to figure out what the hell he’s singing because it’s actually half good. After patrol one day Jason threatens that he’ll steal Tim’s favourite mug if he doesn’t tell Jason what song he’s been singing and three months later they’re going to a Bad Omens concert together. Tim also thinks the lead singer is pretty attractive, so that definitely helped him get into them. His favourite Bad Omens song is The Gray

Queen - obviously Tim listens to queen, duh. He is a bisexual man in the 21st century, he was probably born with the need to listen to Killer Queen at least once a day. His favourite Queen song is Killer queen, but Don’t Stop Me Now is a close second

Mother Mother - Tim was extremely late to listen to MM. The first time he heard about them was when HAYLOFT II came out, but when he did start listening to them, he binged literally all of their songs in one night. His favourite Mother Mother song is Oh Ana

Mitski - one of his friends in high school (right before he dropped out) made him listen to I Bet On Losing Dogs, and Tim started violently sobbing. He went home that day, extremely embarrassed, and listened to Mitski while crying and eating ice cream. His favourite Mitski song is A Pearl

I firmly believe that Tim doesn’t care what language the music is in (which is also why there are some Japanese songs on the playlist), and I really wanted to put some kpop songs on the playlist, but I have a sneaking suspicion that most of the Batfam fandom wouldn’t be very appreciative of that, so I haven’t. But if anyone wants there to be, lmk and I’ll make a separate playlist for what kpop songs he’d listen to.

i. may have asked this before (if i did i absolutely forgot) BUT do you have voiceclaims for any of your ocs' normal and/or singing voices ??

you havent i dont think!! it is a good question and one i think about a lot.. a difficult one for me to answer with 'they DEFINITELY sound like this' bcuz my brain has a hard time attaching itself to particular voices for my characters, and wanting them to have trans va's etc. so these r mostly like approximations or ideas!

im not including every oc here just like, major ones for me, or ones who i have an idea of what their voices sound like better

blue: so what i know for him he has a masculine voice, something that can get screamy, but hes technically skilled enough as a vocalist to pull off a ballad no problem (this is not uncommon for rock vocalists). one thing i want from him is sounding similar between talking or singing, you can tell its the same guy. ive always had trouble finding a fitting voice for him.. i associate nightlife with him in some ways i think bcuz hansel romero has a very clear voice, and i could see smth like a foreign affair being.. adjacent-ish for him (u can see how much i struggle to find smth truly fitting for him). neither of these bands rly play the exact kinda rock music i think he sings tho so yknow, grain of salt here. kid me thought he sounded like dane cook. for better or for worse i cant rly like.. disagree with that lol. i also used 2 think he should have a grungier voice but thats kinda changed w time lol he looks more like he could pass as a member of a boy band nowadays

L'autoroute de la vie

Je me suis enfin acheté une voiture. Te rappelles-tu à quel point nous en parlions constamment ? Depuis l'instant où j'ai eu mon permis de conduire, avoir une voiture était notre rêve, à toi et à moi. Nous n'en pouvions plus de cette petite ville minable. Elle est séparée par une autoroute qui semble nous couper du reste du monde. Cette autoroute dont nous rêvions fouler le bitume à toute allure hurlant par-dessus l'autoradio. Au lieu de cela, nous regardions les véhicules défiler de notre point de chute, choisissant, comme si nous étions fortunés, celui qui convenait le plus à nos goûts de luxe. Une voiture rouge, voilà sur quoi nous nous étions mis d'accord. Qu'importe le modèle, sa puissance et son âge, qu'elle soit rouge était tout ce qui importait. 

Nous passions nos journées ensemble à errer dans les rues et à se prélasser dans les hautes herbes à côté de l'église. Nous rêvassions sur notre avenir jusqu'à ce qu'il soit l'heure pour moi d'aller au travail. 

"Je ne veux pas que tu partes, me disait-elle à chaque fois en m'étreignant. 

-Pense à la voiture, répondais-je inlassablement."

Ce dialogue était devenu un rituel mais aussi une sorte de lien qui nous unissait. Avec la voiture, nous irions où elle voulait. Nous aurions parcouru le monde. Nous aurions trimballé nos valises et nos cartons. La voiture nous aurait emmené en lune de miel et aurait transporté la chaire de nos chaires sur ses sièges arrières. Cette voiture était un serment pour l'éternité. 

C'est pour cet avenir là que je travaillais autant. J'ai eu mon premier boulot à seize ans où j'étais animateur dans des centres aérés. À la fin de l'été, j'avais assez d'argent pour financer mon permis. Au bout de quelques mois, je l'avais obtenu avec la totalité des points. 

Je n’ai pas acheté la voiture tout de suite. Elles étaient trop cher et je n’avais plus un rond, pas un centime de côté. Pour moi tout seul, je n'en ressentais pas non plus l'utilité. Je me plaisais dans cette petite ville bordée par les champs. Tout a changé quand je l'ai rencontrée. Mon chez-moi de toujours était devenu trop petit et suffocant. Nos parents étaient constamment sur notre dos. On avait besoin de se retrouver seuls, de créer notre propre bulle. C'est là que j'ai trouvé mon deuxième boulot : McDo. Je mettais quarante-cinq minutes en vélo pour y aller. Cela pouvait sembler courageux de ma part mais je n'y prêtais guère attention à l'époque.  Je le faisais pour elle, pour nous, pour notre liberté. 

Aujourd'hui, je possède la voiture mais je ne l'ai plus elle. Je ne pourrai expliquer ce qui s'est passé car moi-même je n'ai pas tout compris. Elle est juste partie. Elle m'a quitté sans crier gare, sans débat, sans émoi. J'ai appris par une amie en commun qu'à la rentrée elle partira à la faculté dans une grande ville. Cela explique peut-être pourquoi, je ne sais pas. Elle est partie de ma ville et de ma vie. Je ne ressens rien, ni haine ni tristesse. Je reste stoïque et je me surprends moi-même, parfois, à fixer le mur en face de mon lit dans un silence de cathédrale. Je crois que je ne réalise pas encore tout à fait. 

Je suis au volant de ma voiture rouge. Je roule sans destination particulière mais en empruntant un itinéraire non pas choisi au hasard. Je m'insère sur l'autoroute, j'accélère, pédale contre plancher. Une fois sur la voie de droite et la vitesse stabilisée, j'allume l'autoradio. La musique se lance : drivers licence de jxdn. Je mets le son au maximum. Mes doigts tapotent le volant, ma tête se balance au rythme de la musique. Le refrain arrive et je chante à pleins poumons.

A/N: I have no memory of Briss saying anything about where he lived when he went to Michigan, bc I know he didn’t live with Bordy, Beniers and Truss? So let’s just imagine he has his own apartment also can’t decide if I hate this or not.

You knew Brendan had had a hard time, he was doubting himself. Thoughts about how maybe he didn’t fit in the NHL. That he wasn’t good enough. That he would never be good enough and he would be a bust. You knew he would sign at the end of sophomore year but that didn’t stop you from loving him. Sure you weren’t a couple but he was your person. Your best friend.

After trying for the past two hours to get in contact with said hockey player you figured he either had turned his phone off or it was hidden somewhere and he was hibernating under at least ten blankets on his bed. It wasn’t the first time this happened. The last time he didn’t answer your calls or text he was holed up in his room and when you got there he tried lying his way out of talking. He wasn’t one to talk about his feelings, however he had no problem showing his emotions. Always wearing his heart on his sleeve. He was a emotional person by nature he just didn’t see the point in talking about them. Usually you were the only one he ever opened up about those things to. So when he shut you out last time it stung because he may be your person but what if you aren’t his? The thought scared you. The worry about the end of the year simmering in the back of your mind, what if he doesn’t need you when he signs and moves to Vegas?

Most of the time you could push those thoughts away but now that he yet again isn’t answering his phone they crawl their way back.

You had texted Bordy after you knew their practice was over to see if Brendan had shown up or if he had heard anything but nothing. The blonde just told you that Brendan wasn’t at practice, something about how he was sick or had a test coming up. You knew both explanations were lies. Having 90% of your classes with Brendan you surely would have known if there was a test coming up and when you saw him yesterday he was the same as always. Energetic and talkative, which he isn’t when he is sick.

Huffing in frustration you grab the nearest jacket and slipping on the pair of custom crocs Brendan had given you for Christmas last year. Deciding to walk since he doesn’t live far away you try calling him one last time. It goes to voicemail, again. “Damn it Briss answer your phone.” Running a frustrated hand through your hair you continue walking, placing your phone back in the pocket of your sweatpants.

The walk is over quickly and you practically run up the stairs of his apartment building to the third floor. Thank god Briss have you a key at the beginning of the year. Slowing down your running/power walking you reach his door. You can’t hear the usual music, video game or TV playing from inside so you have two options. He possibly isn’t home or he’s as you suspect hiding in his bedroom.

Using your key you unlock the door, none of the lights are turned on and nothing seems out of the ordinary. Except for the faint cries you can hear from his bedroom. Shedding your jackets and shoes you quietly walk down the hall toward his room. The sound of Brendan’s sniffling getting louder the closer you get.

“Bren?” Peeking your head in from behind the door you’re greeted by the sight of your best friend. He’s curled up on the bed, the hood of his sweatshirt covering his face and he’s cradling a pillow to his chest. The sight making your heart crack. At the sound of your voice Brendan lifts his head up from the bed. His eyes are bloodshot, tear tracks are on his flushed cheeks. He doesn’t even try to hide the fact that you’ve caught him crying, he only lifts one of his arms from the pillow. A silent request that he wants cuddles.

Climbing on the bed beside him you tug the taller boy into your chest, by reflex pulling his hood down so that you can run your fingers through his hair. The two of you lay there for a while in silence, Brendan’s still crying but you know he has to let it out before you try to get him to talk.

“I’m just scared. What if I disappoint everyone? What if I one day just wake up and I suck at Hockey. Everything I worked for, everything dad worked for just gone to waste.” Brendan has scooted up on the bed so he now has his face pressed against your neck. “You will never be a disappointment Brendan. You’re fucking Brendan Brisson. One of the most talented hockey players I know, sure hockey has been your whole life but you are so much more than some hockey player. You’re funny, you get peoples attention without even trying, you care so much about everyone around you. You’re my favourite human on this entire planet.”

Brendan hugs you tighter, his breath hot on your skin. “You’re my favourite too.” Silence settles over the room again after that. You figure he doesn’t want to talk about why he was crying so you let it go. That is until he opens his mouth again. “I don’t want to say goodbye at the end of the season. I wanna pack you up with me to vegas.” His words makes your breath hitch and you stay quiet for a couple of seconds. Trying to figure out if you heard him wrong or not. “Say goodbye? Brendan I’m not going anywhere. I’ll still be here and I’ll travel to vegas as often as possible.”

Untangling himself from you Brendan sits up on the bed making you do the same. His gaze is intense and you know he’s serious, more then he usually is. “No you don’t get it. I don’t want to say goodbye because I can’t breath without you. Like everything just makes sense when you’re with me and I can’t loose that. I can’t loose you. I love you, I just wanna be with you all the time and you’re my home. God I sound so mushy.” Brendan rubs his face in his hands, posture slouching in defeat at not being able to word his feelings out loud. “Brendan Brisson, I love you too. So fucking much.” Taking a leap of faith you lean in, cautiously pressing your lips to his.

Brendan leans into the kiss, one hand finding it’s way to your cheek and the other to your waist pulling you closer so that you’re almost straddling his lap. Pulling away you’re both flushed and trying to catch your breath. Brendan’s hair is sticking up in all directions from where you tugged on the brown strands. Eyes blown and lips parted. “We don’t have to worry about those things right now. I just want to enjoy the time we have left so tell me. What are you doing tomorrow?”

Jaden had been finalizing his album tracklist when he turned around, seeking Landon's opinion on it. "Hey Land-" he quieted when he found his boyfriend asleep, an arm tucked safely underneath himself. "...and you're asleep" Jaden knew Landon was worrying about his father, they all were.

Being stirred awake; Landon groaned, pulling the pillow over his head. He'd been comfortable and deep in sleep. "Whaat?" Landon mumbled when he felt the bed dip.

"Can't let you sleep all day" Jaden sat on the edge of his bed and flipped the pillow back up.  He carded a hand through Landon's curls, reading a text from cooper. "I know you're not sleeping much as it is." Jaden poped a sweet tart in his mouth, grinning when he felt Landon's arms come around his neck.

"You could..." his head rested on Jaden's shoulder. "That obvious?" Landon instinctually shut his eyes again as Jaden's fingers played at his curls. The feeling was a mundane comfort to him.

Jaden sucked at the sour sweet candy in his mouth. Scoffing as Landon thought it hadn't been obvious. "I was up half the night on the phone with you becuase you couldn't settle." He turned as much as possible, looking at his boyfriend. "Landon, you worrying about him is valid but you can't fixate on it."

Landon loved Jaden, he knew the musician was the kind to sit and listen on the bad days. "Just can't get it off my mind" it was one of the man's better qualities.

He thought for moment, pursing his lips. "I have to be over at Kells' later" Jaden spoke, "Come with me and just chill out for a bit" He was sure Kells wouldn't mind, it was Landon after all. "Get your mind off your dad and onto something else."

"You sure he won't mind?" He cracked a smile when Jaden took his hand. "Kells usually has a hundred different things going" Landon admited he would miss Jaden once the volt left for tour.

"I'm not gonna see much of you once I get on that bus other than video calls and maybe the odd show." Jaden kissed Landon's fingers; pulling him into a kiss. "He's not going to care, open door policy." He shrugged, grinning when Landon hid in his hoodie.

"Mm, I'll go then" Landon hummed softly; running a hand over Jaden's shoulder. "It's the best we can do with they way things are lately." He looked up at his boyfriend and returned the kiss.

Jaden was barely in the door and was met with the smell of Baze cooking and the sound of Slim teasing the bassist about being the perfect 'wife' and always taking care of him. "The normal shit, chaos and the like" he looked up hearing Kells call out.

"I expected you so I wasn't gonna clean up much but seeing you brought Landon, I feel like I should have." Colson knew about the two and grinned as Jaden's arm was around the boy and Landon without thought took comfort from his boyfriend. "He texted Rook a bit ago, they landed and they're okay."

Landon may have been a little annoyed his father texted Rook first; but was glad to know his dad was safe. "At least there's that" he smiled at kells's other comment and shrugged. "I've been here before, I know what to expect."

He rolled his eyes as Kells teased him. "Invite me but be more happy to see my boyfriend" Jaden let his arm drop as Rook came in. Not entirely sure if Travis had said anything to him.

"I knew before Travis, figured you two were dating when I found him in your hoodie" Rook pointed out, looking at Jaden, remembering he had a message for Landon. "You..." he spun and looked to the boy. "....should text your father."

Landon raised an eyebrow in question. "Wh-"

"Tried to call you earlier, said you didn't answer." He said on his way to the kitchen. "Just let him know where you are." Rook wasn't sure he wanted to be on his boyfriend's bad side about the man's kids.

Jaden let go of a relieved sigh and looked at Landon, the revelation of his boyfriend wearing his hoodie was a needed dose of serotonin. "That isn't a bad idea."

Rook smiled as he had an eye on jaden and Landon, the two currently in a war over the marshmallows and who was going to roast them. "Those two are a couple of in love idiots" he snapped a video, sending it to Travis.

Picking his phone up whilst in the middle of a meeting; Travis turned his volume up slightly. Watching the video, he took comfort in knowing Landon was able to let go of the nerves and enjoy himself. 'Glad you found something to occupy him 💙 love you'

'Hate you too 💙🤫' he sent the text and looked up to see Landon in the middle of shushing Jaden by shoving a marshmallow in the boys mouth. "Damn, you won that one Landon." Rook chuckled as Jaden accepted defeat and got to roasting the marshmallows.

Jaden pulled the sleeves of his hoodie up; using the edge of the flame to toast the marshammlows without burning them. "What, do I look like a foot rest?" He smiled when Landon's shoes came off and his feet in his lap.

"Mm, yeah isn't that obvious?" Landon stuck his tongue out at his boyfriend, looking up when Colson came over string next to Rook.

Colson joined them outside and passed the blunt off to Rook. "He looks happy" he spoke quietly so only Rook heard. Pulling a chair over to the pit; Colson sat down.

Taking a drag off Colson's blunt; Rook smiled at his friends comment. "Mm, they were fighting over marshmallows a minute ago." He stretched his legs out in front of him. "Jaden's been good with him the last day or so."

Taking the blunt back; Colson held a breath for a moment before blowing a perfect O in the the weed smoke. "You know..." he looked to his friend, grinning as Rook was calm and had a look of pride on his face. "This dad thing looks good on you."

Carefully sliding the hot end of the stick in; Jaden popped the marshmallows off and handed one to Landon.

Running a hand through his hair; Rook titled his head and groaned. "You think? I'm. scared to death he's going to hate me or something." He mumbled.

Colson snickered and shook his head. "Nahh, he's not going to hate you" he smiled. "Every parent has that fear, it's normal." He did understand though in some capacity why Rook would worry more, being Travis's partner and all.

Alabama heard what Colson said and smiled as Rook's expression contorted. "It's sort of hard to hate the cool dad." She said before going over and teasing Landon simply becuase he was her bother and he'd take it.

"Why the hell not!" Landon most of the time liked Rook, but at the moment he was pissed off at him for not being allowed to go out and do something. "I'm not a little kid"

"First of all, you're still legally a kid" Rook wasn't about to let his boyfriend's kid, regardless of the boy being 17, go out and make the same mistakes he did. "You barely look 17 as it is, you're not going."

"It's not like I'm going to do anything stupid." He was frustrated and knew he was loosing ground but was headstrong and didn't want to give up. "It isn't like you didn't do any of it."

Travis walked in the front door to find Landon sassing Rook, hearing his son's last remark; he stepped into the kitchen, clearing his throat. "that’s no way to talk to your stepfather" he looked at Landon, cocking an eyebrow as the boy spun around. He looked at his son as if to dare him.

Rook whipped around when he heard his boyfriend speak, it was moments like this he was glad to see Travis home. He was shocked at the older man's use of the word 'stepfather.' Rook was about to speak but wasn't sure he'd be able to piece together a decent sentence.

"stepfather?" Landon found himself irritated by the word at the moment. "Oh please! He's not even 10 years older than me." He looked at his father, mirroring the same stubbornness. "In fact me and rook are closer in age than you two are!"

He looked at Rook and back to his son. "There's a hell of a difference between 17 and 27" Travis waited for Landon to realized what he just said. "I don't what you're so mad over but I know you're still a child, my child."

Seeing the reality that he'd just lost; Landon felt like a little kid as his fathers expression was unchanged and fixed on him.

"You're allowed to be mad but you don't get to use his mistakes against him." Travis looked up and he heard the door open. His eyes settling on Jaden. That wasn't his concern. "Do yourself a favour, apologize and go take a few minutes and calm down."

Jaden had held back for a minute to get the story from Rook before walking out to the pool where he found Landon. "Tough break, huh?" He was in shorts already so he sat down, dipping his legs in the cool water.

Hearing Jaden; he nodded and brought a hand up to his boyfriend's knee. "Sort of got mad at Rook and dad walked in."

Jaden understood both Rook and Landon's point of views but ultimately sided with Rook on this one. "Rook told me what happened." He tipped Landon's head up "I have to side with him though." Jaden knew how one drink could become two and then 'one more.'

Travis & Rook

Rook let himself be pulled into Travis's arms and slipped his own around the drummer. He hated having to be the one to say no what Travis wasn't around, it always ended the same, mostly with Landon. "Jesus christ."

Travis brought Rook into a hug, running a hand over the man's arm. "Still sure you wanna be with a man with kids?" He joked as Rook's hands plastered against his back.

"No talking" he wanted a moment of peace as it had been tense all morning and half of the night before. "Just quiet and this." Rook nuzzled his head into Travis's jacket, taking in the smell of salt water.

Jaden and Landon

Landon pulled Jaden into the pool letting him come back up before latching onto his boyfriend. "I hate you for being right" he grinned when Jaden's arms came around his waist.

"So your used the step father word huh?" He flicked his now wet hair out of his eyes and kissed Landon's nose. "Are they..." Jaden wasn't sure how Landon would react to the question.

"He did, I don't really know if he's thinking about asking him." Landon hoped his father would talk to him and Alabama about it first.

Jaden wasn't about to let on that Travis had talked about it in the studio recently. "You think you'll be okay of he does ask Rook?" He let go of Landon and smiled as his boyfriend thought over the question.

Looking at Jaden; he treaded water wondering why he was asking. "I'm not sure, it didn't really start to bother me until they got serious." He didn't mind Rook, but he was protective of his father and it scared him. "Rook seems to make my dad happy." As long as he'd remembered he and his sister had been their dad's #1's.
