I´m back to my Collar x Malice obsession (currently playing the FD) and so I just had to write something for my favorite boy! And since he already shows some yandere tendencies in the game, I decided to run with it. Hope you enjoy <3

General Yandere! Kei Okazaki headcanons

Okazaki strikes me as the type of person who could take an immediate liking to someone when meeting them for the first time but then needs a lot of time for true love to materialize. Or in this case, obsession.

He´s quite fond of you from the very beginning, he likes seeing you smile and enjoys being around you. But the true obsession only starts once you two get to know each other better.

He has been in a lot of relationships before and while he had liked all of his partners, he never felt like he could show them his flaws, he never felt comfortable being true to himself, always hiding away a part of himself in fear of rejection. It´s like that at first with you as well, he only wants to show you his charming and cool side as he wants to make a good impression on you. How would you ever fall for him if you knew about his past and his mental troubles? About his possessiveness and jealousy?

You inadvertently sealed your own fate when you encouraged Okazaki to be honest with himself and that you would accept him for all his flaws. That you wouldn´t turn away from him, no matter what. That you won´t judge him.

How can you say these things and not expect him to become absolutely obsessed with you?

For the first time, he feels this deep connection to someone else, he feels like he can be himself around you, even if it´s scary and difficult. So you wouldn´t mind if he let his obsession with you show, right? If he got clingy and possessive with you. You said you accepted all of him, right?

Okazaki for sure is a protective yandere. He works as a bodyguard so he´s an expert at making sure certain important people are safe. And you most definitely count as a very important person to him!

Whether you´re actually dating or just acquaintances, Okazaki will insist on accompanying you wherever you go so he can "keep you safe". And he´s quite persistent when it comes to this as well, not taking no for an answer and just tagging along anyway with a smile on his face.

It doesn´t even matter if you were planning on meeting up with him or not, he´s somehow always there whenever you go out to wander the streets. How does he always seem to know when you´re about to head out?

In truth, Okazaki keeps tabs on you even when you believe you are alone. Due to all his training, he´s more than capable of staying hidden in the shadows while still keeping a watchful eye on you. Even if you say you need some alone time, he just can´t risk anything happening to you. He´s still shaken up from that incident all these years ago where his inaction caused his coworker to die on the job. He can´t let something like that happen to you, his dearly beloved.

And next to making sure you´re safe from harm he also has to make sure you´re "safe". What does he mean by that? He has to make sure that no other men try to approach you to ask you out. He knows they´re no good for you, so just leave it all to him.

Okazaki has an uncanny ability to swoop in out of the blue whenever a man tries to talk to you, inserting himself in the conversation and making the other person uncomfortable with his unnerving smile and underlying threats. He can be quite scary when he wants to and thus it´s easy for him to scare people off. He also isn´t against using violence to get them to back off, whether it´s punching them or twisting their limbs until they crack, nothing is off-limits. Under no circumstances will he allow anyone else to sweep you off your feet, you´re meant to be with him after all.

Afterwards, he will explain that the person that tried to talk to you was dangerous. There had been warnings going around at work and so he tried defusing the situation immediately. You see what happens when you´re out there without him? Really, you were in luck that he just happened to be around! Maybe ask him to tag along next time again, okay?

Of course, that´s all lies. No such warnings about a suspicious person existed, he just needed a convenient excuse for chasing them away. He can´t let those people possibly get in between the both of you.

Okazaki is also just really really jealous in general. He doesn´t like it when you spend time with others and if you´re dating, then he would directly tell you this, though he tries to word it in a way that sounds more reasonable than "I want you to cut ties with all your friends". He hates seeing you smile and laugh around people who aren´t him, it makes him fear that you might be getting sick of him.

And he can´t have that. He vows to never let go of you. Strangely enough, he will actually tell you this many times (like he does in the game) but you just take it as a bit of cute possessiveness, nothing too concerning. You just don´t know how obsessed he is with you.

He canonically has thought about locking the player up so they´re for his eyes only so a kidnapping would not be completely out of the question I believe, though I do still see it as a last resort, something he would only do if he felt an immediate threat to your relationship or if he was close to snapping. For now, he would much rather use words to try and convince you to spend more and more time together.

It´s normal for a boyfriend to want to spend all of his time with his darling, right? He just loves you so much! He wants to spend every second of every day with you, aren´t you being a bit cruel by depriving him of that? Why do you insist on being with people that aren´t him? Isn´t he enough? Don´t you love him?

He can get quite manipulative if he feels like it will bring results. But also, he just genuinely feels like that. He just can´t fathom it, how can you bear to stay away from him when he feels like he´s being ripped apart every time he has to part from you?

So to no one´s surprise, Okazaki is very clingy, even before a potential relationship. He loves being close to you, wrapping his arms around you or resting his head against you. He also loves holding your hand in public, both as a way to show affection but also to show anyone else that you´re unavailable. He´s also shameless enough to kiss you in public while people are most definitely watching.

Resting his head in your lap while he falls asleep is also another favorite of his. He´s often exhausted from his job as a bodyguard and tends to not get a lot of sleep, so he treasures being so close to you while he gets to rest up. Please run your fingers through his hair too, he will sigh in bliss if you do!

Also very affectionate in the way he talks to you. Once he realizes his feelings for you, he won´t really try to hide that he likes you, perhaps only the extent to which he does. He loves calling you cute pet names, especially if they make you flustered. He loves teasing you, it makes him proud to know that he can have that sort of effect on you.

"You´re so cute when you get flustered. Tell me I´m the only man that gets to see you like this~"

He will truly never let go of you for as long as he lives.

Lost Sleep [Okazaki Kei x GN!Reader]

Summary: You mistakenly agree to let Kei decide on how your date night goes.

Genre: Fluff, tiny lil' insinuation of spice but it's really nothing

When your boyfriend had brazenly stated that he wanted to spend time with you, you had been expecting a date — even a night in, cuddling and talking!  After dating Kei for more than a year, though, you should have known better.  Really, it was your fault for expecting anything else in the first place.

Frowning in displeasure as you brought popcorn into the living area of Kei's apartment, you hesitantly glanced at the television screen to see what movie he had picked.  His selection was small, and they were all gruesome horror movies — if you had known that this was what he wanted to do, you would have brought an action-comedy or something!

Anything but a horror movie.  Kei knew how easily scared you got!...

Okay, maybe he did this on purpose, then.

"Ah.  You ready, [Y/n]?"

No, but you didn't have a choice.  Sitting down, you set Kei's bowl of popcorn in front of him, keeping your perfectly normal popcorn to yourself.  Out of all of the flavors Kei had found, it was cotton candy flavored popcorn that had caught his eye.  His food choices were questionable at best, but seriously...  Cotton candy flavored popcorn?

Yeah, you were perfectly fine with your buttered popcorn.

Settling the blanket over both of you, you hummed as Kei started the movie, a gory slasher you had never heard the name of.  It had to be newer, the special effects were too realistic for you, and there was absolutely no reprieve as high schoolers were slaughtered one after the other.  Your popcorn had been long forgotten, as you clung tightly onto Kei, trying to watch the movie with him before getting embarrassed and burying your face into him again.

Meanwhile, your boyfriend was enjoying both the movie and your reactions, his fingers petting your hair softly as if to soothe you.

The movie took forever to end, and by the end of it you had lost your appetite, trying to get the terrifying images of blood and guts out of your mind.  Kei chuckled, and you gave him a teary glare, lips immediately forming a pout.

"You're so mean, you know that?"

He pet your head again, giving you that gentle smile you had fallen for in the first place.  "I'm sorry," despite his words, his tone wasn't apologetic whatsoever, "but you're always cute when we watch horror movies."  That wasn't helping his case as you only pouted more, turning your head away from him.

Kei sighed, and next thing you knew he was nuzzling your neck, his lips brushing against your jugular when he spoke.  The small action caused your heart to flutter.

"I would protect you with my life.  You should never have to be scared."

You faltered, and his arms wrapped around you, pulling you onto his lap fully.  "B-but, horror movies are different," you meekly protested, and Kei started to leave gentle kisses down your neck.  You let out a breathy sigh, melting like putty.

It wasn't fair when he did this every time you pouted over something!

His lips brushed the shell of your ear.  "Are you still scared?"

"W-well, it's not my — it's not my fault if I still am . . !"

Strong arms tightened around you, and Kei shifted you in his lap so you could look into his eyes.  His smile was still there, but it was no longer gentle; instead, it was somewhat mischievous, and your heart fluttered for a different reason.

"Then I guess I'll just have to show you that there's really nothing to be afraid of."  With that, he had seared his mouth over yours, a kiss so passionate that all thoughts had left your mind, leaving you caged in his arms.  After a moment, he pulled away, meeting your gaze with a mischievous twinkle.

". . .  After all, wouldn't you have lost sleep tonight, anyways?"

"If that's... uh... really what you want..." he sharply inhales, before continuing "Then I, Mineo Enomoto, will fulfill your wish!" He says as he strikes a pose

This man always loves to startle you

"It's not my fault you don't pay attention. You should be more aware of your surroundings, especially if you're trying to talk dirty in public."

"If you're really in heat that badly, then wait for me tonight, dumb cat. Your master will give you a treat." He says with that same shit eating grin before he walks away

The two of you were meeting up tonight, because Shiraishi was allowed to go home for the weekend

You had let yourself into his apartment to wait for him and noticed some things had changed

Most notably, some of the usual things that were out, like some books on the coffee table and whatnot were currently nowhere to be found

So you sent him the text, smiling to yourself as you wondered how he'd take the joke

After a few minutes, you're alerted to his response

"That was the plan"

WHAT

"Why else do you think everything has been put away? Make yourself ready, I'll be there soon."

WHAT DOES HE MEAN 'MAKE YOURSELF READY'!?

"You're joking right?!"

"Nope." And with that, he sends a sly little cat sticker

Out of everyone, Saeki reacts the calmest, and doesn't take it seriously

When you're out of the room, he mumbles to himself as he's deep in thought

General Yandere HCs (Okazaki Kei, Sasazuka Takeru, and Zero)

Okazaki Kei

Off the bat, Kei is already going to be pretty overprotective and somewhat paranoid. His job as an SP officer is constantly putting himself in the way of danger to complete his mission; what if you wind up as collateral in the end?

This is definitely what leads him to his more yandere tendencies. He completely justifies his actions, and doesn't believe he is in the wrong at all.

Oh, you can't go outside, what if somebody sees you with him and they target you?! You can't be friends with those people, they're pretty suspicious, and Kei just doesn't want you to get hurt!

It starts out with small, slightly overbearing and slightly overprotective actions before it just snowballs.

Good luck trying to tell Kei off or call him out. He'll pout and gaslight you. "I'm just trying to keep you safe" and "I'm giving you my all, please understand".

So touchy and clingy, oh my god. And he loves marking you, he wants the whole world to know you're his and his alone.

At some point, he's going to straight up kidnap you and lock you in a safehouse of sorts. It's not that he doesn't trust you, but he doesn't trust anybody else. Your safety is top priority, and he won't let anybody else risk that.

Good luck trying to escape, this man is a professional bodyguard and the best at keeping tabs on people. If you step even a foot out of the safehouse (if you manage to even get out), he's going to know in an instant.

At the very least, he won't punish you. He won't call you names, or hurt you (intentionally). He's affectionate, and wants you to know just how much he loves you, and will always coo sweet nothings in your ears when you're upset.

It doesn't matter what you say; once Kei has his sights set on you, you're never going to be able to leave.

Sasazuka Takeru

Definitely not somebody who can get you to stay by him through manhandling. I mean, have you seen him? He's 166cm/5'5" and doesn't work out. He's a swizzle stick.

Just because he can't up and haul you over his shoulder like some people, though (cough kei cough), doesn't mean you should take him any less seriously.

Takeru will verbally manipulate you, gaslight you, the whole nine yards. He'll bend your mind and try to break it. He's good with his words, good at being demeaning, and if it gets you to stay by his side then so be it.

Wouldn't kidnap you, not at first, but he would definitely install hidden cameras all over your apartment. He'd hack into your phone and computer — nothing is private from him.

If the two of you are already dating, then great, he'll show his true colors more slowly. He'll still cyberstalk you, that won't change, but you'll get a bit more freedom.

If you two aren't dating, though, and you bring somebody else to your apartment, Takeru's going to be pissed. It doesn't matter if they are a friend or a lover. This will immediately make him lose his trust in you, and you'll be locked in a fortress.

Not really, but you know what I mean. Security locks with long passcodes, cameras covering every inch of the room. You've got no freedom, and no privacy.

I hope to god you can cook, because no way is Takeru letting you go anytime soon, and I'm certain you don't want to just live off donuts and cup ramen.

Takeru is also very touchy, but unlike Kei, he gets rough. Biting, hair pulling, scratching — he's dominant either way, but if you make him angry, it'll just be much worse, as if he's taking out his anger through sex.

Will definitely call you stupid, idiot, etc. Would also say things like how nobody would ever love you like he does, that you have nobody else left, etc. The usual manipulative stuff.

He still has to go to work, he works in cyber crimes after all (ironic, huh?), so if you ever try to escape, that's your one chance, but good luck. He'll see you through CCTV footage, through your phone... Nothing is safe, and once he gets you back, it'll only get worse.

At least you get donuts?

Saeki Yuzuru/Zero

HOO BOY. I feel like Yuzuru is probably the worst yandere to have after you in the Collar x Malice world.

Look, this guy is already super unhinged, both from childhood trauma and sociopathy disguised as an intense empathy.

Chances are, he is not going to recognize his feelings for you at first. Love? Him? What an insane notion!

It's possible you'll go through exactly what Ichika went through. He'll collar you and threaten you to follow his words, but you won't exactly be finding the justice that Ichika is searching for...

No, Yuzuru wants you to figure out who he is and why he feels weird towards you. Talk about vague.

You probably knew Yuzuru somewhere in real life; he has such a friendly person, you probably run into him at the bar a lot and are somewhat acquainted with him. Not like you could ever guess that he is the head of Adonis, though.

Eventually, you'll be kidnapped and taken to Yuzuru himself, donned in his Zero disguise in the cathedral until he's certain it's just the two of you.

When he takes off his hood, he revels in your devastated and tear-stained face upon recognition of him. How could somebody so sweet cause so much pain in Shinjuku?!

He'll admit that he's been watching you for a while. Adonis has eyes and ears everywhere — even before you were collared, he was getting information about you 24/7. He'll probably still keep the collar on you, not being able to trust you to not escape.

Adonis' hideout is mostly underground and is pretty hi-tech, so he'll stow you away in a hidden away room that is impossible to escape from.

He's not very affectionate, at least not at first. He's still sorting out his feelings, and will make moves on you more to observe his own emotions that would react to your reactions. Why does he care so much about you? Why can't he bring himself to kill you?

He'll get affectionate eventually, though, and you don't get to have a say. If he wants to kiss you, or hold hands, or explore every inch of your body, then that's what's going to happen, whether you want it or not.

Eventually, he does realize it's love. He knows it's twisted and messed up and that it's only harming you — Yuzuru is very self-aware, but that's not going to change a single thing. He loves you, and if he's going to be the god of a new era, you'll just have to stay by his side. He'll gaslight, manipulate, break and mold you until you are the perfect disciple for him.

Somehow, you caught eyes of Adonis' leader, and now, you'll never get your old life back. Yuzuru most likely killed all of your friends and family nearby to ensure you had nowhere else to run. You'll be his, forever and more.

I’m 5’1, female, long dark hair, dark eyes, normally dress in feminine clothing and would wear dresses all the time if it was practical. Taurus, Ravenclaw and ISFJ. Introverted with extroverted qualities. Can be shy in crowds/meeting new people, but generally good one to one and can probably fake being social and carry out conversations even when my heart is racing. Can be awkward and say a lot of random things. Tend to be very talkative and rambly with friends. I’m pretty silly and I love to laugh (especially at my own jokes) and make others laugh. I can get anxious and overwhelmed easily but wouldn’t ever give up and will persevere no matter the challenge. It’s without a doubt that with your sweet and bubbly personality you catch Stahl’s attention within the first meeting. He absolutely adores your talkative personality, and finds that your laugh is one of his favorite things to hear. Whether it be from his own clumsy actions or if you happen to find your own joke funny in it’s own right. It over all just makes him happy to see you happy in the trying times of war. 

He does tend to get a tad overprotective if he notices how anxious or overwhelmed you are, and will try his best to not only calm you down, but offer you gentle and sweet distractions to help ease the anxious thoughts that plague your mind. Most definitely is the one who’ll try to help you slowly let go of things. He understands that whatever occupies your mind most likely had been traumatizing, but he wishes to help you move past it slowly and gradually with hopes that those pasts won’t anchor you down. 

Similar to you, he is most definitely affectionate and will have no qualms in replying to your sweet ‘I love you’s with his very own. It’s almost without a doubt that before you both go to sleep or even start the day you both exchange a simple and sweet good morning and good night kiss. Though he will most definitely be a flustered and shy mess if you happen to overwhelm him with affection. Despite his soft and clumsy personality, Stahl is most definitely not afraid to take charge or let his frustrations get the better of him.

I feel that Okazaki would love how kind and shy you are, and how you can be talkative, but also be very in your zone and quiet when you want to be. I will find that very admirable! Another thing that he would like, is how affectionate you are with him! He is just as affectionate as you are, so he will gladly welcome it with open arms! He wouldn’t be too caring about look, but he will like your dark hair the most out of everything, appearance. His favorite thing to do would be to file his fingers through it for hours on end!

Okazaki would help with your anxiety, and know when you need help to calm down, so that you don’t have an anxiety attack. He will love the fact that people see you as a figure where they can come and tell you about their troubles, he sees it as very admirable too. He loves how jokey you are, despite you’re flaws, such as your perfectionism and OCD, he knows that you are strong and wouldn’t always let that bring your spirits down!

But make to affectionate! He would love hold handing and kisses and hugging! He is literally quite a snuggle bug, he’ll want you in his arms constantly, and no one else’s! He will love how multi-dimensional you are in the relationship, being either shy and reserved or teasing and playful. It will definitely keep him on his toes, and he will definitely like that! He is very dominate, and will be very protective of you, and can get easily jealous, so beware other guys! But something different about Yoosung is that he will be more understanding about your anxiety and things of that nature, because he has been through it, so he can help you! You both are quite awkward beings when it comes to people so when you are with each other it’ll cancel out, and you will just be super cute together, joking off of each other’s antices! Ugh, adorable!

Looks wise, he will love everything about you, He will love your dark hair and dark eyes, and will always compliment every time you wear a dress because he will know just how much you love wearing dresses! 

Yoosung will be the same as you, and will love affectionate, he will always want to be holding your hand when you two are out somewhere; he will want to kiss whenever you do something cute, or he will want to hug you whenever you seem like you are a but cold. Really, he will use any excuse in the book just to be able to touch you! And sometimes he will get turned on by your teasing and will blush at any and every sensual touch you make at him. Anytime you do anything a little but sexual he revert back to being a teenager I swear!

Yoosung will be just as emotional as you will be! He will hate fighting, doesn’t want to do it whatsoever, if he can avoid he will! He just wants to love you! Though the unsociable Takeru Sasazuka and the calm Kei Okazaki have much different personalities, you couldn't help but find yourself attracted to both of them. Your flirting wasn't entirely intentional, at least at first. But playful flirtatious comments exchanged with both men escalated and you found yourself falling hard when they flirted back. It was all great fun. Or it was great fun, until Okazaki happened to overhear your exchange with Sasazuka one evening.

And now here you are, a few days after being overheard, with both men in front of you waiting for you to respond to their confrontation. They've asked - or, rather, demanded - to know which of them you prefer. But even with both of them in front of you like this at once... who DO you like better? "I'm sorry. I just don't know."

They stare at you, both surprised, and then at each other. The silent, awkward air is broken by Sasazuka. Ignoring his rival's presence entirely, he steps towards you, grabbing you by your shirt. You frowned at the beer in your hand, hanging your head. You didn’t understand what was wrong with you lately. When you were writing your first book, the words flowed like water from a faucet, and ideas had been popping into your head left and right. You finished writing that book within only four months and, six months after that, the book was published with a well-known company.

When you had gotten the news that your book was on the best-sellers list, you felt absolutely ecstatic. Calls started pouring in, congratulating you on your debut success and your publisher began to push you for book number two, despite the fact that you had no plans of turning it into a series.

At the time, you felt energized and excited, immediately agreeing to the demand, but when you finally got around to sitting down to start writing said book, your mind went as blank as the page. How many times had you set the pen to the paper only to lift it back up again before a single line was written? What happened to that overflow of ideas you once had? Did they just disappear into smoke?

‘Am I just going to be a one-hit-wonder? Is this really where my dream ends?’ You found yourself wondering as your hand clenched the bottle tighter.

Your two close friends had long since stopped chatting, exchanging worried looks as they watched you. Koko reached out, setting her hand atop your own, which snapped you from your thoughts. You sent her a confused look. Was she trying to confess or something?

“Are you okay?” she inquired softly.

You forced a bright smile, sitting up straighter. “Yeah, I’m fine!”

“You were zoning out again,” Lee commended, resting his chin in his hand.

“Was I?” You sheepishly rubbed the back of your head. “Sorry, it’s been a long day. Writer’s stuff, you know.”

Koko hummed, reaching into her purse for a pen. She scribbled a number onto the napkin under her glass before sliding it over to you. You looked at it curiously, raising a brow – it wasn’t a number you recognized.

She giggled, her cheeks turning pink. “Call him. He has a way of knowing just what a person needs! Trust me, Y/N, Shinichi will blow your mind.”

You frowned down at the napkin, running your thumb over the dried ink. ‘Maybe I do need to get laid to clear my mind… Maybe if the experience is as good as she claims, it’ll even inspire something within me for the next book,’

After spending thirty more minutes together, the three of you exited the bar and went your separate ways. As you walked down the street, folding and unfolding the napkin, you decided to just bite the bullet. What did you have to lose? You pulled out your phone and dialed the number, heart racing as it started to ring.

“Hello?”

“Hi!” You answered a bit awkwardly. “Is this Shinichi?”

“This is him,”

“My friend gave me your number,” you chewed on your bottom lip, trying to think of the right words.

He chuckled and you faintly heard the flick of a lighter. “Would you like to make an appointment? I’m free tonight and will meet you wherever is convenient.”

“Oh, um, yeah! That’ll work. There’s a motel on Honjo street… do you know it?”

“Yeah, I’m not far from there. I’ll meet you there in twenty.”

“Sure,” The phone went dead and you ended the call, turning around to head in the direction of the motel. Night had long since fallen and the parking lot was nearly empty as you approached the glass door of the office where you found a middle-aged woman sitting behind the desk, drinking from something within a brown paper bag before coughing violently as the liquid went down the wrong pipe.

You forced a smile, pretending like you hadn’t seen the scene. “I’d like a room for two days, please.”

She hiccuped, turning toward the computer – an ancient fossil of a thing that you were surprised even worked. You had to repeat your information several times before she finally got it entered correctly. After confirming the payment, she handed you the key for room 204 and you stepped out into the chilly night. Movement from the left made you glance over, seeing a male stepping out of a taxi. He was thin with spiky, powder blue hair. Multiple piercings glinted under the light of the streetlamp, covering his ears and even one connected to his lip.

The man turned around after paying his fare and smiled, approaching you without hesitation. He was definitely cute but… something about him felt off and you just couldn’t put your finger on it.

“Hi,” you said softly, playing with the key in your hand to calm your nerves. “Shinichi, right? I got us a room.”

He smirked, “You work fast~” And then his hand slid into your own, his fingers calloused and rough. “Lead the way,”

With a nod, you started toward the row of rooms, glancing at him every few seconds. “I hope you’ll forgive me, but I’m not sure how this works.” You slid the key into the lock and entered the room, letting the door shut behind the two of you. “I’ve never done this before…”

Shinichi smiled gently as he sat on the side of the bed, hands behind him to support his weight. “Don’t worry, we can take it as slow as you need. First, tell me your name.”

You took a seat across from him on the other bed. “My name is Y/N,”

“Y/N,” he tested the way your name tasted on his tongue. “A gorgeous name for a gorgeous person.”

You giggled. “You’re quite the charmer, aren’t you.”

“It’s my job to be. Now, what is it you’re looking for, Y/N?”

Your lips parted to answer, but nothing escaped and your shoulders slumped as you frowned. ‘What do I want?’

Sensing your hesitation, Shinichi stood up and gently pushed you back onto the bed, his body hovering over your own as his knee settled between your legs and his lips pressed into the skin beneath your ear. His voice was husky as he spoke, warm breath tickling your skin. “Don’t overthink it. Tell me what’s bothering you, what made you give me a call.”

Your hands gripped at his slim waist, fingers sliding through the loops on his jeans. You’re not sure exactly what came over you, but you didn’t hesitate to spill your guts to this man, telling him every little detail from the moment you started writing to the current pressures from your publisher. Sometime during the story, he had shifted so he straddled your waist, looking down at you with wonder shining in his blue eyes.

“You’re really a best-selling author?” He grinned. “That’s so cool,”

“Yeah… cool.” You smiled back, but it was forced. “It’s looking like it’s just gonna be the one, though.”

“Hmm, I’ve always heard that it’s easiest to write about what you know or what you’ve personally experienced.”

“I’ve heard that before,” you admitted. “But my life hasn’t exactly been exciting or interesting.”

“Even so, you just got to start writing.” Shinichi stood up, pulling you with him before searching the small table between the two beds. He found a small pad of paper and a ballpoint pen and handed them over to you. “Don’t overthink it, just write whatever comes to mind.” He gave you an encouraging smile, tugging you toward the table.

You had very little hope that it would work, but his expression was just so damn cute you couldn’t deny him. Taking a deep breath to clear your mind, you sat down across from him and set the pen to the page.

And you started to write.

You burst through your apartment door, startling Shinichi who was sat on the floor with his guitar in his lap. “Shin! Guess what!”

He hummed, setting the guitar on the floor beside him as he crossed his legs. “Did you finally get a promotion at work?”

“Even better!” You cried, throwing yourself to the ground across from him. The excitement was so high that you couldn’t even sit still.

Shinichi frowned, leaning back against the couch. “Did you get a boyfriend?”

You rolled your eyes, smacking his knee. “No, you dork. My publisher approved the new book!”

“That’s great!” He smiled brightly, launching himself at you. You squeaked in surprise as the force sent you tumbling backward, his arms tight around your waist as he snuggled his face against your chest. “I knew you could do it, Y/N. I’m proud of you.”

You brought your hand up, fingers lacing through his hair, slightly stiff from the amount of gel he used to make it so spikey. “It’s all because of you, Shin.”

And it was. Since that first fateful meeting two years ago, you had met with him twice a week, soon going to three times a week before finally asking him over to your apartment where he spent several nights at a time. Each meeting, he would encourage you to write whatever came to your mind while he sat and observed you. You grew close to him pretty quickly and, soon, you completed the first draft for your next book.

Together, the two of you read through the draft, making corrections or changes as you saw fit. This book was just as much his as it was yours, and you made sure to tell him so.

“I helped with the ideas, sure, but you’re the one that put in the real work.” He responded, a smile lighting up his face.

“Move in with me,” you told him suddenly, feeling your heart quicken as you realized what you just said. ‘Shit, I said the first thing that popped into my head!’ You knew Shinichi was a prostitute and that he hadn’t stopped seeing his other clients since meeting you. You never figured he would, to be honest, but… you had let yourself get too attached to him and now it hurt knowing he went to see other people, sleeping with them and spending time with them.

He was a young, attractive man, so naturally he would rather be with the clients that actually slept with him rather than picking his brain for ideas for a book. The farthest you had gone with him was a kiss on the cheek.

Silence fell over the apartment and you closed your eyes, wishing you could just disappear. ‘Y/N, you idiot. God, why did I say that?’

Shinichi pushed himself away from you after the words had left your lips. The minutes ticked by in absolute silence, seeming to stretch on forever as you prayed that the ground would just swallow you up whole.

He took an intake of breath, slowly releasing it. “Okay,”

Now that caught you off guard. Your eyes snapped open, locking with his own. Had you misheard him?

With a soft smile, he leaned forward until his forehead was resting against yours. “I would love to live with you, Y/N.” And then his lips found yours and you knew he had developed feelings for you, too.

You nipped at his lip before flipping him over so that you were hovering above him. “You joked about me finding a boyfriend. How could I when you’re the only one I want, Shinichi?” You hoped your feelings could reach him, eyes shining with love. “You don’t have to sell yourself anymore! You can have my money, live in my apartment, eat my food. You never have to worry about making money anym -”

He cut off your words when he grabbed the back of your neck, slamming his lips against yours to silence you. It was obvious he didn’t know how to convey his feelings through words like you could, so he used his body to do the talking for him. And to you, his desires were clear as day.

Collar x Malice Overview

It only took me about 3.5 months to complete, but I have officially completed Collar x Malice in its entirety! Life’s been pretty crazy busy ever since July when the game was released, what with vacations, work, attempts to be social (^▽^;), and all the other games I’ve been playing on the side, so my otome gaming kinda took a backseat for awhile. ごめん~! 

Theme: Although it did take me awhile to get through the game, I definitely loved every moment. Of the otome games that have been localized in English, Collar x Malice is certainly up there in quality–definitely worth the time and money! If you’re anything like me and you love otome games that have depth in the overarching plot, but has a substantial romantic subplot for each route, then you’ll absolutely love Collar x Malice as much as I do. There’s ample mystery to compel your curiosity, there’s thrilling scenes that keep you immersed, and there’s a profound underlying theme that parallels our very own societies’ daily tragedies and injustices–more specifically the hatred that the public feels for the police due to “incompetence,” as well as the corruption that exists within the police itself. The overall theme really hit home for me at times because I have close ties with the police, as my boyfriend just finished the police academy not too long ago and I can personally attest to some of the dialogue and challenges police officers face daily. By that same token, there were parts of the plot that were comical and unrealistic to me, but when I looked passed that, I really could appreciate the nuances of the story. 

Plot: The overaching main plot was beautifully woven throughout each route, and I love how each route added a significant piece to understanding the mysteries of the X Day cases. There wasn’t a route that felt like a random addition just for the sake of another romantic interest or insignificant fluff, which I really appreciated. I mean I love romance and angst as much as the next otoge lover, but I love substance to the plot with development of romance even more. Every character had a meaningful place in the plot that drove the story forward, and I was overall impressed by how well the story came together in the final route with Yanagi. The banter between main and side characters added to the overall charm of the game, and the dialogue between all the characters makes the reader really empathize and care for each one. I don’t want to give away anything just yet (I’ll save major details for the individual route reviews), but there were definitely backstories that were just so heart-wrenching and relatable that it was almost unfathomable. The more you can immerse yourself into the story, the more you’ll love it after all! I am a major sucker for character development, romance, and engaging plot lines, and although it’s not perfect, Collar x Malice is phenomenal in all three aspects.

Holistically considering the plot, character development, dialogue, and closure, Yanagi’s route definitely beats out the rest, which makes sense since he’s the canon poster boy for the game; however, I have a soft spot for Sasazuka as the big tsun tsun that he is, so I just had to make a separate ranking list for the quality of romance (♥ω♥*). 

Romance Rankings: Takeru Sasazuka > Aiji Yanagi > Mineo Enomoto > Kei Okazaki > Kageyuki Shiraishi 

It was tremendously difficult to order the five routes according to my most favorite to least favorite because I honestly loved them all in their own way. Each route had their pros/cons, which I will explain in more detail for each characters’ route review, but in the end I can settle with this ranking. The difference between routes is so minute that I could probably just group 1st place as Yanagi/Sasazuka, 2nd place as Shiraishi/Okazaki, and 3rd place as Enomoto. UGH BUT I JUST LOVE THEM ALL SO MUCH! (⋟﹏⋞)

Bad End Roundup: Collar x Malice

Bad End Roundups is where I give reactions to the bad ends and Normal Ends of an otome, usually because I tend to leave all the bad or normal ends until I've completed all of the Good Ends I can. This isn't the case with every game, as some I'll get a bad end the first time through, especially with blind playthroughs. In general, however, this is my rule of thumb when I play otomes.

And, as you can probably figure, these are going to be riddled with spoilers, for the entire game.

Just a fair warning.

Out of all of the bad ends I've played so far, this game takes the more serious path. There aren't any gag endings, where the ending is so ridiculous that you can't take it seriously. There aren't really any normal endings either, just the Tragic Love Ends, where it varies on how much this ending hurts your soul.

Now, into the Bad End Roundup, starting with… the common route!

Final spoiler warning here, folks!

Common Route 

‘Report it’ Ending Ichika goes against the strict warnings from the collar and tell Mochida about what happened to her, show him the collar and everything.

This results in the collar injecting the poison into her system, and, thus, kills her. Whoops.

‘Rather Do It Myself’ Ending This end is when Ichika doesn't choose a specific route and are basically trying to solve the X Day crimes alone without input from the others. But there is too much for her to analyze on her own, overwhelming her, and X Day comes as a result, and she’s too late to stop it.

Mineo Enomoto Bad Ends

Enomoto has six Bad Ends, one of them being his Tragic Love End.

Bad End 1 This one involves taking a more dangerous shortcut home. This forced Ichika to run into Manabu, the gamer dude, where he shoots her. Whoops.

Bad End 2 This one involves Ichika getting information from Satake, Enomoto’s old superior and mentor. Unfortunately, she are too cautious in her approach and he doesn't give the information. This leads indirectly to Ichika’s death, because she wasn't proactive enough.

Bad End 3 Like Bad End 2, this one involves getting information from Satake. Ichika is still too cautious, but she does apologize for hiding the complete truth from him. This results in Enomoto getting taken and killed this time.

Bad End 4 This is where Ichika misses the shot to disable Hanako, the girl in the bunny jacket. This results in her shooting Kazuki, her little brother.

She doesn't take this very well, as she then proceed to shoot her multiple times in a blind rage.

Bad End 5 This involves going to the wrong place to find Enomoto and Ogata, resulting in Enomoto shooting Ogata, on streaming video, right on the big screen in Shinjuku Station, with no context as to why Enomoto opened fire on him.

Bad End 6, His Tragic Love End Enomoto tries to make his peace with Ogata in a live press conference. Ogata however, does not share the same sentiment and tries to stab him with a concealed knife. Ichika is quicker to react and shoot him, straight in the heart.

However, because it was a compromise of her ideals, shooting a person first instead trying to understand him and his point of view, Ichika resigns from the police force and goes home. Before she can completely leave, however, Enomoto finds her on the train and tries to convince her to stay, but the damage is already done and she leaves him behind.

Takeru Sasazuka Bad Ends

Sasazuka has six Bad Ends, one of them being his Tragic Love End

Bad End 1 Ichika goes into the park to find Suzune, one of the twins, there. Suzune goes off on her for showing basic human concern and proceeds to choke her. Suzune’s brother, Shion, comes along to his sister choking poor Ichika. He stops her, briefly, until it's revealed that Ichika’s a cop. He then proceeds to shoot her dead. Whoops.

Bad End 2 Because Ichika stumbled upon Rika Sugawara’s dead body accidentally, she is killed for seeing too much.

Bad End 3 Ichika pushes Sasazuka out of the way of being shot by Manabu, and gets shot in the process. Sasazuka doesn’t take this well.

Bad End 4 Ichika tries to reason with Manabu, against her and Sasazuka’s better judgement. This results in Ichika getting ‘BOOM. HEADSHOT.’ Sasazuka screams worse in this ending.

Bad End 5 Sasazuka keeps his focus on finding his mother’s killer instead of the larger problem of the X Day crimes. He does take off Ichika's collar in a very sweet scene (where he drugs her though, unfortunately) and disappears into the night.

Bad End 6, His Tragic Love End This ends with Sasazuka not fighting to keeping them together, so he and Ichika have to separate because of their jobs. He does give her a pretty necklace in parting though.

Kageyuki Shiraishi Bad Ends

Shiraishi has five Bad Ends, including his Tragic Love End

Bad End 1 Ichika is killed by Rika Sugawara, just for running into her. Whoops.

Bad End 2 Shiraishi confronts Zero on his own, resulting in him getting killed.

Bad End 3 Ichika fails in negotiating with the twins, which results in her getting shot.

Bad End 4, His Tragic Love End Ichika becomes a part of Adonis, becoming a killer numb to any emotion, or pretty much anything. Shiraishi is 'given’ to her as a pet, with his vocal chords taken out, eternally crying in his failure to protect Ichika.

Bad End 5 Ichika succeeded in killing Zero, but he activates the poison in her collar, like in Shiraishi’s good ending. And Shiraishi administers the antidote, same as his good ending. The only difference between this and his ‘Good End’ is that he is straight up honest with, telling her they are lovers, and they stay in the underground forever, because she needs to recover, and… well, he is a wanted criminal.

I feel bad to say this a lot less fucked up than his actual ‘Good End’  :/

Kei Okazaki Bad Ends

Okazaki has five Bad Ends, including his Tragic Love End

Bad End 1 Ichika follows Yasahiro Isshiki, and then is killed by Hanako. Again.

This is becoming a trend.

Bad End 2 Okazaki confronts Ichika when he sees the collar. However, since it sounded like she was conspiring with Rika Sugawara, Okazaki gives her the cold shoulder instead of learning the whole truth. Because of his threat to tell his superiors about the collar, Ichika dies via the poison in her collar.

Bad End 3 Ichika doesn't accept the idea of her dying very well, which results in her being afraid of Okazaki, especially after he had pulled his gun on her before. Because of her cowardly unwillingness, Okazaki tried to distance himself, hating her cowardice. One final confrontation results in the line: “You weren't the one I was meant to protect.”

He is then taken out by Adonis, a death without meaning, his worst fear.

Bad End 4 Where Ichika and Okazaki have to get out of explosive-riddled park, but Ichika chooses to pursue Sanjou, on her own, and almost gets killed, had it not been for Okazaki, who dies in her stead. At least he dies happy :/

Bad End 5, His Tragic Love End Where Ichika missed the shot and is actually killed this time. Okazaki is distraught and considers killing himself. He only just barely manages to stop himself from pulling the trigger on himself before Zero finds them and kills Okazaki himself.

Aiji Yanagi Bad Ends

Yanagi has seven Bad Ends, including his Common Route Bad End and his Tragic Love End

Bad End 1, His Common Route Bad End This is achieved by too many wrong answers and don’t pick a specific route, which leads to Adonis thinking Ichika truly hasn't pursued the X Day crimes seriously, so Zero kills her via the poison in her collar.

Bad End 2 Ichika follows Kazuki on her own, without Yanagi, which means she meets Yasahiro Isshiki on her own. He finds out she's a cop and pushed her out, where she meets Hanako.

You can guess where it goes from here.

Bad End 3 We miss the shot on the hostage situation, hitting the hostage by accident, inciting the perp, Yanagi isn't fast enough to stop the perp and Ichika is shot. He is distraught by the turn of events, and same for the reader if you've finished his route before doing the Bad Ends, like me.

Bad End 4 Ichika confronts Saeki, and raises her gun on him. He then knocks her out and kidnaps her to his hideout. When Ichika wakes up, she's surrounded by the bodies of Yanagi, Okazaki, Enomoto, and Shiraishi, all killed by the automatic defense system. Saeki comes to her, offering his hand, asking if she wants to help him rid the world of malice and sorrow.

In her grief, Ichika takes his hand, only mentally vowing to get rid of the root of the problem, him, with her own hands.

Bad End 5 What I like to call the ‘Ichika Goes Yandere’ Ending.

X Day happens as planned, meaning everyone is living in fear of the terrorist organization, including Ichika.

She locks herself and Kazuki in the apartment, Yanagi comes by and is taken in himself, Ichika so scared and paranoid, she literally threatens him bodily harm if he goes back out, where it was clearly not safe. Yanagi is regretful that he couldn’t save her from her fear and paranoia.

Bad End 6 Saeki dies from the open fire of the SWAT team, probably because we didn’t report it to Morioka and Minegishi about us wanting a word with him. When Saeki shot Yanagi, it sent off the warning to the team and they open fire.

With his dying breath, he sets off a bomb. Yanagi dies protecting Ichika, and she goes off to rid the world of sorrow, because of her loss of Yanagi and Saeki.

Bad End 7, His Tragic Love End Saeki is the faster shot and he gets Yanagi, multiple times, but doesn’t kill him. Ichika gets a good shot in and kills Saeku, right through the heart. 

Because of the trauma of killing him (basically proving his point, that she can kill to protect, even if it was someone she previously cared about), Ichika was sent home because of the shock, and hasn't been seen since. Yanagi leaves us by looking for her as hard as he can.

The closest thing that could be considered a Normal Ending would be Sasazuka’s Tragic Love End, where they have separate because of their jobs with minimal drama, just a quiet parting of ways.

My first official Bad End was in Okazaki’s route, right around the time I got the title postholder image. It was my first time attempting fate in the game (not the last time either) and I was heart-broken as a result. Still didn’t teach me to not tempt fate though.

My favorite Bad End has to be, surprisingly, Okazaki's Tragic Love End, where Ichika actually dies in this end. It actually had me on my edge of my seat, especially once the cg popped up. Okazaki is mentally anguished, seriously considering taking his own life because Ichika needlessly lost hers. Only in the last few moments does he pull the gun from his head, giving you some bit of hope, that he could move on.

Unfortunately, Zero finds him, twists some words, and shoots Okazaki himself, snuffing out any shred of hope.

I love the high emotions in this one, how there is still just a bit of hope for a bittersweet ending, that Okazaki could be okay after Ichika’s death, that he could be okay and move on.

But no, that hope was snuffed out by Zero’s trigger and everything was lost.

Probably my most what the fuck moment was with Shiraishi’s last ending, which plays close to his Good End, but is thankfully shorter.

Like I mentioned in the insert, I find this ending less fucked up than his Good End, and that is a tad frightening.

Compared to his ‘Good’ Ending, he doesn't lie to her, he straight up calls them lovers. She still has amnesia, but at least he doesn't lie to her. Sure, they're still in the underground, but at least he doesn't try to distance himself from her by caring for her as her ‘doctor’, only to distance himself further when she's well enough to rejoin society, dumping her on Yanagi, and turns himself in to the authorities.

I'm still broke from Shiraishi’s Good Ending, okay? Okay.

Yanagi

At first, he's a little unsure about children

He's not opposed to them, but he really doesn't feel confident about being a father

But considering how often you two... uh... ya know ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) it was bound to happen quite soon

When you tell him you're pregnant, he's absolutely overjoyed

He starts reading books on parenting. So, so many books.

He wants a daughter! But of course he wouldn't mind a son either. He's just worried a son would take after him and act like he did when he was younger....

Yanagi definitely thinks one child is enough once the baby is born, but as your firstborn grows older, he... actually kind of wants a second one

So that's how you two ended up with two children

Yanagi tries to let the two be independent as much as he can, but it's difficult when he also wants to be at their side and help them with everything

He loves taking care of the children, being around them, and watching them grow up

He doesn't spoil them, but he does treat them sometimes and definitely makes sure they're prepared for anything and everything

The smile he has on his face when your first born goes to school is as brilliant as the sun

Sasazuka

No. No. No. No children. He doesn't want small dumb cats running around

He coolly and calmly opposes any thoughts or mentions of children

........

Except when you tell him that you're pregnant, he's actually seriously happy, even though he doesn't really show it

Takeru doesn't mind a son or a daughter, he's just overjoyed to have a child

Being able to see a small human that was literally born from your love.... he's thrilled, he really is

Takeru doesn't mind taking care of the child at all, buuuut he is absolutely not thrilled to change diapers and deal with anything butt related

.....although one day, you do catch a glimpse at the two of them joking about farts

One day while you're out, Takeru is quite alarmed to find his donuts missing

........and is even more alarmed to find his toddler passed out with donut crumbs scattered around them, and an empty donut box beside them

Takeru desperately tries to hide the fact that your kid takes after his donut obsession, but after a while he gives up and uses the donut-love to his advantage

He rewards the child with a donut for any good thing they do- he kinda spoils them with donuts but hey, it works!

Definitely teaches his kid computer science, coding, and everything in between

Although he can get a bit strict at times, and you can sometimes see him and your 10-year old having a fight

He almost always makes it up to them though, to repair whatever "damage" their fight had to their relationship

Enomoto

Oh boy. Enomoto tells EVERYONE hes gonna be a father once he hears the news

You already know? Too bad, he's telling you again

He's never gonna let you do ANYTHING for yourself. He's gonna be all over you making sure you're comfortable and feeling good

Like Yanagi, he also reads a bunch of parenting books, but also reaches out to magazines and online articles. And even Yanagi and Takeru, who give him some... questionable advice.

Enomoto would love to have a little princess, but he would also love to have a little knight too- either way, he'll make sure they have lots of fun!

Enomoto makes sure to attend EVERY tea party the child holds, if any, and makes sure to let them win almost all wrestling matches the two end up in, if any!

He'll dress up in whatever ridiculous outfits the kid wants him to wear, he'll let them draw on his face, he'll let them paint his nails, and he'll let them do whatever they want to him

He'll always be right there to take care of the child no matter what. He'll always make it to performances or events or parent-teacher conferences or appointments!

He honestly spoils the kid a little too much

But you can tell that they're incredibly close, and the child is well behaved because they don't want to disappoint their superhero dad!

Buuut sometimes the two of them get into trouble, and you have to be the one to scold both of them.

You bet your ass Enomoto wants a second kid! He's not opposed to a third at all, but two is good enough :3c

Okazaki

Kei is the one who approaches you to ask if you want kids

He's thrilled when you say yes and when you tell him you're finally pregnant

Kei knows you're strong, and mostly leaves you alone during the pregnancy because he knows you don't need his help

However he's more then happy to help a lot more later on and do/get whatever you need

He would prefer a little boy, so he can roughhouse as much as he wants! But he would also love to spoil a little princess if he had one

So you can imagine how happy he is when you give birth to twins

A boy and a girl! Kei treats them equally, of course, and ends up spoiling both of them a ton

But! He can be stern and strict when necessary, but never in an angry or disappointed way.... more like he genuinely wants to help them learn from their mistakes

He never gets mad or annoyed. Never.

He loves trying out new and weird snacks with the twins, and being able to roughhouse with both of them.

He isn't always able to make it to their performances or big events, but he makes sure to get time with them when he can

And they definitely think he's a superhero saving the most important of people and braving the most incredible of dangers

Kei loves telling them bedtime stories, tucking them in, and taking naps with them

He's quick to be able to get them to smile after something bad happens, and they always feel safe with their father

Shiraishi

Shiraishi is honestly a little shocked when he hears that you're pregnant, and doesn't really know how to feel

He had been thinking a lot about having a family in the recent years being with you, but now that he's faced with being an actual father, he isn't quite sure

But he thinks on it, and realizes that he's ok with this, and he's even looking forward to it!

He's curious to see how the child develops and whether it takes more after you or him

He doesn't really care about it's gender, and doesn't prefer either way

He wants the child to take after you- to be loved by everyone and to be kind and beautiful. He despises the idea of the child being more like him.

He's a little worried he may not be a good parent at all, but he determines that worrying won't do him any good and he instead he pushes through

He takes care of the baby just fine, and is quite good at soothing it and helping it learn and develop

But once the baby grows into a child, he kind of... distances himself

Not entirely on purpose, he just really doesn't know how to interact with them

But one event where the young child falls on the playground and starts crying has Shiraishi leaping into action

Parental instincts take over, and he's immediately whisked them away to the side to see if they're injured and to soothe them

When they throw themself into his arms, though.... he freezes, and is a little unsure about himself

But it hurts to hear his child in pain, and from that moment onward, he's always by his child's side, comforting them and helping them learn and thrive

He doesn't play nearly as much with his child as all the other fathers do, but he makes sure that they have what they want and need and that they're good to be on their own

He is INCREDIBLY helpful when it comes to homework though! He's always happy to answer any questions and help them work through any tough problem

He's quite happy if the child takes after him a little bit, despite his earlier wanting of the child to be like you

In teaching his child to be human, he too grows with them. He makes sure his offspring doesn't make the same social "mistakes" that he does, and in turn he also becomes more sociable and perhaps even ends up with a few friends!

When it comes to christmas or their birthday, Shiraishi makes sure to get them a gift they will love. Every single time. He's the perfect gift giver.

Okay, this may seem weird but...what do you think the CxM and Amnesia boys smell like?

Dude.... don't even worry. Ask away all the weird questions, I seriously don't mind any of it! I'm one of the weirdos who wouldn't mind thinking/reading about these things.... ;3c

Unfortunately though, I'm extremely not good with scents and smells... I smell a smell and I identify it, but when it comes to something I'm not actively smelling at the moment my brain just kind of.... refuses to remember the smell. But I shall try my best!

Yanagi wears a subtle, masculine cologne (don't ask me which one cause I have no clue what they smell like D:). It's neither a very expensive brand, or a cheap one. Just in between. So when you're in his tight embrace, you can smell just a small bit of his cologne along with his natural scent. Everything that's his has this similar scent of cologne on it, and it makes you feel like you're in his strong arms.

Enomoto is a little bit of a wildcard. Sometimes he'll be trying out new soaps that a new "100 heart-jerking seduction tips!" book recommended (or some random magazine article he read), which always ends up being something that smells like Old Spice or some floral, more 'delicate' scent. He may as well smell of sweat and dirt if he just finished an intense on-the-job chase. The poor man sweats easily as well, so sometimes if he doesn't layer on a ton of soap or colognes or something then he may get a little smelly!

As for Takeru.... it's dish soap. Don't ask me why. He just somehow always smells like he just cleaned. Although, if he's coming out of the shower you can definitely tell he uses Old Spice!

Kei smells really, really good. Not to sound creepy or anything. But this man bathes (not literally) in the most amazing of scents. He always smells like the sweetest, most angelic vanilla you've ever had the pleasure of experiencing. He smells like icing and cupcakes and just... absolute heaven. That being said, it is a somewhat subtle scent, but if you're near him you can definitely tell it's vanilla. If you get close enough though, you can sometimes pick up on whatever incense he's been using during his naps!

Shiraishi, like Yanagi, smells strangely comforting. He smells like the cold air coming in through a window on a summer or late spring night. Like the grass after it rains. He says he doesn't see the need to wear any specific scents, but how in the hell does he smell so nice otherwise?! Although, on occasion, you may pick up a hint of something... chemically. A smell akin to sterile hospital air.

You already know Ikki wears major name brand cologne. Only the most popular, most expensive, and best selling brand. This dude layers the stuff on- not like teenage boys with ax but you can definitely smell the stuff if you hug him.

Our wonderful little pseudo-yandere Toma almost permanently has that new car smell. You don't know how he manages it, but you always wanna give him a hug when you see him (although not always just because he smells nice!)

Shin occasionally smells like flowers. Don't ask me why! He just does! But most importantly, why the fuck does he smell like chocolate? Either way, it's quite pleasant. (Turns out he somehow managed to get his hands on a chocolate scented body wash!)

Kent smells like fresh books. Not old books. Just fresh books. Like you just picked up a freshly printed paperback book off the shelf of a popular bookstore and opened it's pages.

Ukyo smells like a forest after it rains! He smells slightly earthy and beautifully refreshing. Laying with him is truly relaxing.

Shiraishi my beloved 😢

Yanagi

You know, it's actually not that hard to get Yanagi into a snowball fight.... or really, to do anything in the snow at all

He may seem like he doesn't care at all, but he can't deny the evil smile that grows on his face when you hit him with a snowball- and in that moment, you know it's over.

He's also perfectly happy to help you build a snowman, snow fort, or anything else you want, as long as he doesn't have anything he has to do later that day!

He's totally treating you to warm food all season long; the most delicious soups, meats, and anything else your heart desires- Yanagi has you covered!

Expect to be bundled up in blankets with Yanagi's arms around you all season long. On days off, the two of you are likely to stay in bed all day, enjoying eachother's warmth as you two sleep and enjoy other things the whole day ;)

Despite not caring too much before, that first christmas party you and everyone else had at Yanagi's office was special enough to him for him to offer to hold another one this year- albeit a little more quiet then the first one!

Enomoto

If you don't go out into the snow yourself- expect to either be dragged outside, or to be given puppy eyes until you do!

Anytime there's snowfall, there's an Enomoto playing outside in the snow. Building a snowman, a snow fort, or having a snowball fight with you!

You may or may not have to save him from Takeru a few times.... a miss-aimed snowball or even a purposefully thrown one and uh... Enomoto is going to be crying under the frightening rage of a snow covered Takeru!

Expect lots of dates to holiday festivites! Christmas light shows, outdoor skating parks, christmas fairs, or even just a walk around a snow covered, holiday-decorated town!

Expect to watch christmas movies with him too! A Christmas Carol (his favourite is the muppet's), Disney's The Santa Clause, The Polar Express, The Grinch (animated version!), The Grinch (RL rendition, if you two feel like it), Home Alone, Shrek the Halls and maybe even some classics like Miracle on 34th Street!

Although... you may end up with him cuddling up to you or walk in on him hugging a pillow with tears in his eyes as he watches Hallmark movies.... (you know- those really cheesy romance christmas movies that almost nobody knows about?)

And, of course, he's going to barge into Yanagi's office and there's going to be a HUGE christmas party! Enomoto LOVES decorating for the holidays, so not only is his apartment going to be filled with decorations, but Yanagi's office is going to look like Santa's elves themselves swept by and decorated the place...

Takeru

Takeru hates the cold. Naturally, he doesn't like snow either. So anyone (especially Enomoto) who hits him with a snowball this season is not going to be in for a pleasant time.... there's not even going to be any exceptions for you, so watch out!

You're also most likely to be bundled up in Takeru's arms all season long, and when he comes in front outside, he's going to be very grumpy and probably demand you cuddle with him or warm him up in other ways.... ;)

The holidays spent with seaweed-head is going to be quiet, but warm! Hot chocolate, coffee, ramen, heated blankets... you name it.

You might be able to convince Takeru to watch a christmas movie with you! He isn't opposed to it... even if he seems like he might be. Honestly, as long as you choose a movie that you'll like, even if he may not- he'll be happy to see you enjoying yourself.

The two of you will probably be dragged off to do stuff with Enomoto somehow. Whether Enomoto is the one who drags you two with him, or you ask to go somewhere alone with Takeru, our little hackerman is going to act like he dislikes the outing, but is actually quite pleased to see you enjoy yourself....

In fact, Takeru may take you places on his own on very rare occasions if he knows you'll like where he takes you- all to see you smile.

Kei

Thankfully the holidays are a little more calm in relation to Kei's work... he's able to spend more time at home with you, due to important people not doing as much at the end of the year.

Once again, expect to be bundled up right next to Kei for most of the season! There's no way he's letting you go once he has you, especially with how cold it is outside his/your bed!

He's also totally roping you into watching christmas-themed horror movies with him. Or, at least, something like The Nightmare Before Christmas!

Nights are generally as quiet as the days, with not much going on for either of you.

Days are broken up with the occasional date- with Kei taking you to some sort of holiday festivity like Enomoto would do.

Even the tree the two of you put up is lowkey- it's beautifully decorated and illuminated, but not spectacular or flashy in the least. It's elegant and beautiful in it's own way- and Kei is often comparing it's beauty to you.

Shiraishi

Ok so like, I know that it's explained to him that Santa isn't real in his route, but like.... if you didn't end up explaining that to him, he's bound to try to set up some sort of trap to capture this "Santa Clause" to see who he really is.... and honestly I have no clue why you wouldn't want to see Shiraishi ponder over who the hell Santa is and how he can get to so many houses in one night....

Anyway! If you want to do anything special this year, you're going to have to do it yourself! As in, you will have to be the one to take Shiraishi places, watch movies with him, or whatever else you want to do.

Shiraishi is more then happy to do whatever you want- no only just to see/make you happy, but also to see what more he can experience during the holidays!

It's amusing to watch him play in the snow- his forts/snowmen are lopsided and weirdly shaped.... and his snowball skills are amazing... albeit a little dangerous with the force he puts behind them! As well as the size of them.... and the fact he accidentally gets ice in them...

While he does wear warm clothing in the winter, he often comes home quite cold because he simply didn't wear enough. His hands are often freezing cold because he doesn't put on gloves before playing with snow either!

There's been more then one time where he came home absolutely covered in snow because he was out in it for so long- and you'll have to force him to strip so he can change out of the clothes that are getting progressively more wet as the snow melts, and bundle him up in blankets infront of a cozy fire!

Sometimes if he gets home before you, he'll do that himself whether he's really that wet or not just to see you blush and stutter because he's half naked infront of you....

Of course, he'll at least want to put up a tree and decorate it, as well as attend the party that Enomoto is forcing Yanagi to hold!

The party goes well into the night on Christmas eve- but Shiraishi is sure to take you home before you can fall asleep on the sofa; carrying you into his apartment and setting you down on his warm and plush bed.

Christmas day, the two of you stay inside and enjoy eachother's warmth and company. It's a quiet day, where you mostly just cuddle in bed and exchange wonderful, heartfelt gifts.

Trick or Treat! Shinjuku Edition

Yanagi: "Ah, Happy Halloween (Y/N). Help yourself to the candy- Enomoto got too much, and I don't really care for sweets.... That costume- you put it together yourself, didn't you? It suits you well. Huh? Why didn't I dress up? Well... I'm 27... not 7. Dressing up like that at my age... H-Hey, where did you get those-!"

".....These wolf ears.... Stop laughing, I don't look... cute... *sigh* I-If you don't stop giggling, I'll make you stop myself."

Enomoto: "WAAHH! W-Why did you sneak up on me like that?! N-No, I wasn't scared! I can't get scared by such a beauti-...."

"....ful girl. Y-You.... Y-You look really good in that costume... N-No, I wasn't staring!"

"....."

"T-This candy apple... it's a treat I got for you. Take it..."

Sasazuka: "Trick or treat, huh? And what makes you think I would give you a treat? Just because you're a cat doesn't mean you automatically get treats. Especially naughty black cats. Just seeing you tonight has probably given me bad luck."

"....Alright alright, don't pout. I was joking. But everything else I said was true. You are a naughty, stupid cat. And appearing before me like this... I'll let you decide whether what we do tonight was a trick or a treat."

Okazaki: "Why don't we exchange treats? I've got a ton of the best on me right now- huh? You don't have anything? Hmm... that's fine. You're sweet enough to give me a sugar rush all night long."

"Heheh, your face is all red. Come on now, we can share this treat, ok? You'll just have to take it from between my teeth~."

Shiraishi: "Ohh, that was tonight right? What an interesting holiday. People dressing up as scary things with the intention of blending in with ghosts and ghouls who cross over into our world... Heheh, what? Mukai said I was the most devilish of ghouls? I'm not surprised. She did get pretty mad over my experiment on her earlier...."

"Perhaps I am a ghoul. If I was, what would you do? Being alone in this room with me.... Surely you would be scared, wouldn't you? ....And if I pinned you to the wall like this? Hehe, your face is all red. I may be a strange ghoul... I don't want to scare you. Instead, I think I want you a mess underneath me~. My my, what a trick this turned out to be, hm?"
