Different Branches of Therianthropy/ Otherkinity

So I just spent an hour researching different branches of otherkinity/therianthropy, here's what I learned and how I can describe it best (please don't get mad if I fucked something up, just tell me and I'll fix it)

Cladotherian: May identity as one type of animal but doesn't identity with one species of that animal, and instead identifies with all or none at all. Example: Identifies as a wolf but not a specific type, but rather all of them.

Contherian: Someone who doesn't experience mental shifts but is in a constant state of balance of their kintype and humanity and it doesn't fluctuate. They are constantly around half human and half animal and that's integrated into them.

Suntherian/Syntherian: Very similar to a contherian, however it's not always an exact balance and instead at one point they can be more animal than human and vice versa they also may experience mental shifts.

Copingkin: Identifying as something, involuntarily, to cope with something.

Copinglink: Identifying as a fictional character knowingly and willingly to cope with something.

Otherhearted: Feeling an insanely strong connection with an animal to the point where you fully understand and relate to it but you do not identify as it but rather identify with it.

Kinfluid: By itself (polykinity not being involved) fluid feelings of humanity and your alterhumanity coming in waves almost

Polytherian: someone who identifies with more than one species of animal Example: Identifying as a domestic cat, leopard gecko, and arctic fox. (Although two is enough to identify as polytherian)

Shapeshifterkin: someone who has a kintype that's constantly shifting but also prominent and can identify as it

Polymorphkin: someone who doesn't fully identity as any one kintype and they may have a kintype that is more prominent but for them it can change at anytime and for anything they may connect with it can be in completely different ways

Fluidvesil is an identity under the vesil umbrella where fluidity and being fluid affect most parts or all of your identity. Examples of identities that might link into this are genderfluid, genderflux, abrosexual, ace-/aroflux, nomifluid, pronounfluid, constelic or kinfluid. (You do not have to identify with these!)

From this point down it may be a bit of a vent post 😅

For me, personally, it's defined by the feeling that whenever I discover something about myself, it turns out to be fluid and impermanent. I'm genderfluid, have multiple names, am constelic and am aldernicfluid (?). I stick to barebones labels because it's difficult to find things I constantly relate to. My interests, personality and beliefs are constantly evolving at a fast rate, and it feels like something ties this all together. So, fluidvesil!

for a while after finding out I was otherkin, I was a incubus alongside a dog and weird ooze thing but that part of me faded away eventually. It's back now though. feels weird.

Oh to be a bat eared fox lounging in the dry grasses of the dawn. Listening to the typical sunup bird-calls and scuttling and chirping of insects that escaped my jaws during my hunt last night, Licking my chops thinking of a termite mound that I plan to camp near, so to wait for a beast with claws much more formidable than mine. While becoming present every so often whether be the cause of an obnoxious bird, distant zebra calls, or a shuffling of foliage.

Here we go - updated/alternate version of the käärijägender flag. (Old version here).

Käärijägender is a nonbinary gender which may involve both masculinity, femininity and/or androgyny etc, in a way that feels connected to the artist Käärijä. It could be considered a type of kingender. It may be one part of a genderfluid identity (kinfluid).

Each colour represents several things:

🖤 black for leather jackets, spiky black pants and for being agender or experiencing an absence of gender.

💚 green for the green bolero, green nails, and for a nonbinary masculinity or butchness.

🩷 pink for the pink dancers, for the bald men, frank the flamingo, and for a nonbinary femininity or flamboyance.

🤍 white for white suits and outfits, white nails, and for being multigender or genderfluid.

💛 yellow for Häärijä, yellow suit Käärijä, and for a nonbinary gender which is not male nor female (demigender, androgyne, maverique or xenogender, for example).

As a genderfluid demiwoman (genderfaer), I don't ever truly feel as if I'm a binary male, but I've recently discovered I can add "kinfluid" to my genderhoard. And it's funny how those kins are usually male musicians.

To be fair, it's not the manhood in itself, it's the babygirl quality. The more vaguely queer coded, the better. Short kings. Pathetic losers. Misunderstood geniuses. Boys with guyliner, anxiety and an eccentric fashion sense.

Oh yeah there's also the fictional guys, too.

And the historical dudes. I don't know why, it just is what it is.
