I just realized that Knuckles' birthday just passed. I'm so sorry Knuckles, and happy belated birthday! 😭🥳

On the other hand, his girlfriend Sara always remembers his birthday, throws him a big, loud party with all of his friends present, gives him expensive gifts that he doesn't need, and showers him with hugs and kisses. When everyone has gone home and it is finally quiet at the end of the day, Knuckles and Sara cuddle up on the couch and spoon to sleep off the excitement of the day. All day long, Knuckles had been looking forward to this moment.

Something was amiss.

Of that, Rollo was certain.

The air at Noble Bell College had been strained all day, pulled taut like the tightened strings on a violin. Every so often, those strings would be plucked, sending a wave of tension rippling through the campus and setting his bones shaking. There were whispers passed, quick glimpses made, stifled laughs shared between his aide and vice president.

But the instant he so much as cocked his head in the direction of the guilty parties, they would nervously retreat out of sight. Alas, no chance for a proper chiding--nor to divulge their secret.

What do I care of their matters? Rollo scoffed, dismissing the idea of pursuing them. He made his way down the hallway and to the student council's quarters. So long as it does not interfere with my duties or cause a commotion, there is no reason for me to step in. Leave fools to their foolishness.

Rollo swung the door open and stared into an abyss. The fireplace that normally warmed the space had been extinguished, leaving the room blanketed in darkness.

He sighed, running a hand along the wall. His fingers met the light switch and flipped it, light flooding his field of view.

Students, his aide and vice president among them, sprung out from behind furniture. Gargoyles swooped down from the ceiling. Each grinned and chorused, "SURPRISE!!"

Pop, pop, pop!! Crackling, colorful confetti rained down, settling on Rollo's robes and inside of the large brim of his headwear.

He blinked, dazed as the students descended on him. One offered a party hat, another ferried a platter of petit fours, and several more bore wrapped boxes topped with bows. Excited chatter on all sides, eager eyes in every direction.

"... What is this fanfare?" Rollo demanded warily.

"It's your birthday, Mister President!" his aide beamed. "Don't tell us you forgot."

"It isn't that I forgot," Rollo massaged his temples. His growing frown was difficult to conceal with a single folded square of cloth. "It's that I had plans to tend to some important documents today. This is... an unprecedented turn of events."

"You're always working so hard for Noble Bell College and your peers, putting work before yourself," his vice president said.

"We've never seen you have fun your birthday once in all the time we've known you," a gargoyle added.

The aide nodded. "That's why we decided to throw this special celebration in your honor! Let us handle your duties for the day while you relax with your friends.”

"No, I couldn't possibly allow for you to..." Rollo's voice trailed off as realization set in. "Wait one moment. When you say 'friends', who exactly are you referring to?"

“Oh, we were in correspondence with them to prepare for the party,” explained the vice president. “They should be joining us soon. It’s just a short trip for them through the mirror.”

Through the mirror? His gut wrenched with dread. No, it can’t be…! Not possible!!

“Flamme.”

He turned at the voice calling his name, looking as though he had seen a ghost.

Faintness overcame him, and the handkerchief which he reverently clasped to his face fluttered to the ground. Rollo’s face was a show of open shock. “Y-You…!!”

There, in the doorway, was a gaggle of boys in black uniforms edged with golden trim. A band in various colors and a unique emblem was proudly displayed on every left arm. Seven variants, seven dorms.

At the front of the pack was a horned man dripping in black.

Searing bile rose in Rollo's throat.

The villains of Night Raven College. They've returned to torment me.

The horned man's lips pulled back, revealing blinding, knife-like incisors. His voice was a rumble that could shake the mountains. "It is a pleasure to see you again."

Rollo knitted his fingers together tightly, his knuckles going bone white. "Malleus Draconia and company. How kind of you to pay a visit to the City of Flowers."

"Well, it is an important acquaintance's day of birth." Malleus extended an arm to him. His smile was mocking, twisted at the corners. "It is good manners to come and greet the blessed boy."

Rollo snorted, careful to not let his expression sink into a too-obvious sneer--not in front of his classmates. "You will have to excuse me. I don't recall granting you such information."

"Ah, that," Malleus chuckled darkly. "One could say... a little bird told me. Excitable creatures, those. I do believe she is in attendance as well--likely lost in this sea of guests. Do remember to give your gratitude for organizing this get-together, for now you have no need to fear being alone on this momentous occasion."

That Malleus Draconis, he's patronizing me!! Rollo snarled internally. Bells played a resounding war ballad in his head. Were his rage any greater, steam would be pouring out of his ears. How dare he...

Before he could get a word in, his aide and vice president excitedly flanked him.

"Isn't this great, Mister President?" the vice president asked, heartily smacking Rollo on the shoulder. "All your friends gathered in one place to celebrate you and your achievements."

"We worked really hard to put this together," the aide chimed in. "We hope you enjoy it."

"This is our thanks to you!" A line of gargoyles bounced up and down--perhaps the most animated he had ever witnessed the slabs of stone. "Happy birthday, Rollo!"

The words shriveled in his mouth.

He took one look at his fellow student council members. Their jubilant, shining faces met him. He looked at the waiting Noble Bell College students behind them, and then the Night Raven College students walling off his only route of escape. They wore smirks in varying shades. And the dancing gargoyles.

Rollo was caught like a mouse in a trap.

A monstrous roar ripped through the room. "Let's get this party started!!"

"Yes, quite..." Rollo muttered unenthusiastically. He was easily drowned out by his overjoyed classmates.

Rollo glowered to himself as he bent to retrieve his fallen handkerchief. His harsh glare burned a hole in the floor.

The man's carefully crafted schedule, interrupted. Peace and quiet, shattered. His worst enemies in his sanctuary. And he, tiredly relenting and resigning to it all.

What am I going to do with these charlatans...?!

February 2nd, 1994, was the release date for Sonic the Hedgehog 3, declared as one of the greatest games in the franchise. And it marks the debut of one of Sonic's iconic rivals and friend, Knuckles the Echidna. Known as a powerful warrior, and the sole protector of the Master Emerald, which keeps a floating island from falling into the sea. A tough individual who's usually guarding the Emerald by himself, he rarely hangs out with his friends, but will always be by their side if need be. He's always ready to take on challenges. And no matter how tough or strong his opponents are, he never gives up nor back down. Knuckles can be a hot head, especially when being teased or when someone steals or breaks the Master Emerald or hurt his allies. His temper, however, can lead him into more trouble. He would get tricked by Dr. Eggman and would make him question unfamiliar individuals. Knuckles can be very protective of the powerful emerald and would not let anyone, not even a certain treasure hunter, steal it for such gratification. Knuckles dislikes industrialize locations and can be shy around girls. In later adventures, while still stubborn and strong-willed, he would learn to control his emotions and warm up and socialize with his friends even more whenever he's not on duty. Knuckles is a loyal character, not only to Angel Island but to his friends. He'll do everything in his power to protect anything and anyone he loves and cares. He's not to be trifled with and would take down any obstacles that gets in his way. And, he can't say no to some juicy grapes! Here's to 30 years of Sonic the Hedgehog 3, and happy 30th birthday to Knuckles the Echidna. The mighty warrior who'll never let Angel Island or his friends down. It's Knuckles The Echidna ABOB-ified time >:DDD Knuckles is 26 years old, birthday is February 2nd, 1998. He is heterosexual and 5'5 feet tall. He goes by He/Him pronouns. He is a striking red-furred tan-skinned eastern long-beaked Mobian echidna with deep amethyst eyes and a white crescent patches on his chest, quills, hands, and feet, as well as a long crooked red tail and long quills that round his face. He wears a yellow and reddish-brown bandana, gray sports tape around his wrists and ankles, white boxing gloves with spikes on the fists, gold bands around his front quills, dark desaturated purple tank top, reddish-brown pants with a gold waistband, as well as gray, white, desaturated dark purple, and reddish-brown shoes. A headstrong, blunt, and hot-blooded Mobian with an unyielding determination and loyalty to his duty of protecting the Master Emerald. He is rather antisocial and reclusive, spending most of his time alone on Angel Island. But with the help of Sonic and the gang, he grew to be more open and friendly, if just a bit. He’s still rather standoffish, but he does his best to appear welcoming. He wields strength similar to Amy, and fights using his fists. He is trained in all lethal forms of combat and geared with perseverance, endurance, and unmatched stubbornness. Despite his tough exterior, Knuckles tends to be gullible and even a little dull-witted, however incredibly inflexible and stoic. He gets rather shy around women, though, especially Rouge.

Minions are actually very intelligent creatures but the male tribe has a tendency to hide it with their language  and with playful, childish and frolic behavior;

The female tribe doesn't hide intelligence, most of the minion girls is still playful and frolic, though - sometimes even more than the boys;

Some minions (in both tribes) are serious and less frolic, of course;

Balthazar has a daughter he never met - despite his megalomaniac personality, he had a girlfriend who he eventually left behind on his villainous way;

Her name was Roselle Moreau and she didn't tell Balthazar she's pregnant when he was leaving because she felt he wouldn't stay anyway;

Balthazar's daughter is named Colette Moreau, she's 21 years old (b. 5th October 2002; Libra = the Scales) and she's a shy and reserved yet very talented hobby dancer and a university student of Philosophy (Toronto university);

Colette doesn't know exactly who her father is/was because Roselle doesn't want to talk about him - she only told her daughter her father was a jerk and a criminal, so Collete isn't looking for him;

Fact: Balthazar is Canadian, was born there and was living there until the age of 11 - I made this headcanon because of how he spoke French in Despicable Me 3 without any problems. My first thoughts of why his French is so good were that he's either somebody who's good at learning languages or somebody whose native language is French (which appealed to me more) - however, I would expect him to have at least a slight French accent if he was meant to be from France (which is characteristic for one of my OCs of this AU). That's why I decided to put Balthazar in a country that has two official languages and one of them is French (so the accent doesn't have to be there) - I eventually chose Canada;

After 'Despicable Me 3", the male minion tribe divided - a bigger part of them ran away with Dru while the rest of the tribe, those who weren't willing to become villains again, stayed with Gru;

Mel (full name "Melvin" in my AU) is the actual alpha of the male minion tribe and the one who's in charge of Dru's group of minions;

Kevin, the second in charge, stayed with Gru and became an alpha of the smaller group of the minions at Gru's house - his reasons for it were simple: he developed slight PTSD after being in prison, he didn't feel any anger towards Gru anymore and was able to renew his loyalty and the most important, he himself wasn't interested in crime anymore and just wanted to have a nice and calm life;

A small chicken minion from "Minions: The Rise of Gru" is still alive - he lost almost all his feathers (except some feathers on his head and arms), his beak reformed into normal minion mouth, his teeth grew and even his arms and legs became more minion-like;

He also talks normally;

My headcanon: Stuart named his "child" Chico - it means "kid/boy" in Spanish and it also sounds like "chicken", a little. Chico is a complete opposite of his father: silent, shy, gentle, polite yet filled with energy. He stayed with Dave after Despicable Me 3 while Stuart ran away with Dru - Chico misses his dad but doesn't feel any anger towards him.

Fact: Minions can breed in my AU;

Mel is the oldest male minion and has seven younger brothers, (including Steve and Stuart, who's actually the youngest brother), as well as a big number of cousins;

This also means Chico is Mel's nephew;

Lucy left her relatives (those who are alive) because she wanted to take revenge on that villain who murdered her parents, grandparents and great-grandmother;

Her relatives didn't agree and one of them (Lucy's aunt, specifically) even got in an argument with Lucy, which ended up by Lucy leaving;

Lucy still feels guilty for leaving them behind and would be happy to meet them again, she doesn't have enough courage to return and fix the relationship with them, however;

Fact: Gru knows only a part of Lucy's past because she doesn't like to talk about it - he respects her and doesn't ask about it but he also told her if she ever needs to tell him, he will listen and help her;

Minions are almost immortal - they can't be injured by a lot of common things, they can't die of old age, however, there are some ways they can injure themselves and even ways they can die (for example beasts created by PX-41 serum can make them injuries they can't heal completely and they can even kill the minions);

Bonus fact!: Minions Mike and Ken (from "Panic in the Mailroom") survived the attack of three mutated kittens and currently lives with the female minion tribe;

They're covered with scars, one of Ken's eyes is missing, Mike is limping on his leg and they both also have PTSD, but otherwise they're doing pretty well;

Both Mike and Ken got married to two beautiful minion girls named Coco and Caroline "Carrie" - there are also some rumors among the female tribe saying Carrie might be pregnant;

Shadow does not like celebrating his “birthday”. Part of the reason could be that they don’t really know that information and every year they just choose when Shadow first showed up. Part of it could be he just doesn’t like parties of any kind. 

February 2nd is Knuckles’ birthday. Sort of. He doesn’t like that it reminds him he’s alone on the island, but he does like every year Sonic and the others come up to celebrate with him.

Rouge hasn’t shared her exact birthday with anyone really, but she does like celebrating it!
