I think it's fascinating that the quotes:

MASH covers a lot of heavy topics but I think my favorite is how often the doctors but especially Hawkeye have to struggle with the true meaning of Do No Harm. Is it worse to do your job poorly, to leave this man so young he could be your son crippled for life so he can go home safely, or to do your job well and send him back to fight. to die. How, in this situation, can you really do no harm? You can't. You can only minimize it as best you can. You're trapped on a ship with a leak and all you've got is a coffee mug.

Doc loved being a monster, truly he did. He got by in the darkness without too many monsters bothering him, his intimidation factor went way up, and his hybrid traits were useful. It also came in handy for creeper pranks–unlike those silly costumes Scar and Tango had to wear, Doc came naturally equipped. Scaring other people was fun, and nothing beat the satisfaction of pulling off a good prank. Unfortunately, many pranks in Hermitcraft ended up in death. Many were entirely based around death traps and respawns. Doc has accidentally and purposefully killed other players for pranks; He has been killed for pranks as well. Most of the time he laughs them off. It’s all fun and games! It does, of course, still hurt when his friends can’t quite conceal the sliver of fear that makes their eyes widen in the second before they recognize him.

Or, thanks to the Valentine’s Day Event in FGO NA for 2023 and starting the Kaguya-sama Love is War manga (while also finding out the author’s other work, Oshi no Ko, has the ill-fated star idol be voiced by the starring kouhai of FGO in the newly upcoming anime, which was whoa from how the two works are so so different [basically can read one Kaguya, avoiding the latter because WTF]), the author wanted to honor the kouhai who started the whole FGO journey with the player. Taking place directly after the previous “day” in the story too. 

References to K-On via song choices and @partialdignity‘s Movements and Melodies from the canonical Other Days collection were also thrown in for extra good measures of sugar. (Everyone, commission Carim and their partner, Lunar. They do amazing work <3)

Four years is a long time to be playing a game, and I can say it’s been worth it all. Thanks to the friends and the growth as a writer I’ve gained through said game. 

Thankie, Mash. For supporting so many senpais in the player fanbase, and being such a good kouhai to me personally with your story. This chapter, trolley-writing effort and all, is for you and you alone.

Need to dump my next Fabula Ultima campaign idea cause I just find it to be a stinking cute idea but I know I can’t run it considering it’s an indie ttrpg and not the behemoth that is dnd but…

What if… on this campaign, it starts out as a normal high fantasy campaign but instead of the heroes being humans or demons or whatever but the heroes are pets from our world who all died in different circumstances and now need to save this world…

Cause all a mortal man needs to feel safe and secure…

Is man’s best friend.

I feel bad for whoever followed me for sander sides, though it's been a few years sense I've actively posted for that fandom, and got my weird interests and sometimes art. Like ya the weird interest of today is M*A*S*H, take it or leave it.

Trapper definitely fucked hawkeye but with like zero emotional shit behind except for the fact that he knew hawkeye needed intimacy and wanted to provide that intimacy for him but it was definitely like “I’m just helping a friend out” except hawkeye is a slut who falls in love way too fuckin easily and got attached and was even more screwed over when he saw that trapper seemingly only liked/loved him for his body. That is evident in Trapper not leaving any note/letter behind for hawkeye when trapper left despite having multiple days to do so. Instead instructing radar to kiss hawkeye on the cheek. Hawkeye throughout the show only sees himself as someone of value through physicality whether it be for his physical skills in bed or in the OR.

This is also VERY evident in his relationship with Bj (when I wake up remind me to kiss you PEAK EXAMPLE). The physicality aspect is further amplified by Bj being fucking terrible with words to the point where when it looks like he’s leaving HE CANT SAY GOODBYE TO “The best friend I’ve ever had”

Also again with the goodbye kisses ?! When Henry Blake leaves Hawkeye kisses him on both cheeks.

When the war ends and they all go home how does he say goodbye to Margaret (his actual closest friend I’m sorry Bj) who besides Klinger and Mulcahy is the only one who’s been with him the whole time? Who he’s fought fucked and held while they both cried,HE KISSES HER.

Hawkeye is such a fuckin deeply mentally Ill character. The neurosis of which gets worse and explored more as the show goes on. But he only sees himself as what he can give to others, and that is so beautifully sad

One more thought to go along with that but hawkeye is like going through a lot of emotions in the series finale. So it probably REALLY fuckin hurts when he doesn’t get the physical goodbye from Bj or a verbal “goodbye” (Bj does say goodbye in a very sweet way though)
