Diasomnia Tries To Impress You:
Tumblr media

Malleus Draconia:
What does Malleus have to offer that fails impress you? Each time you think you've reached the end of it, a few other perfect abilities pop out. Not that you're complaining, though! You want to learn ballroom dancing? He's a master at it. You want to learn calligraphy? You're in safe hands, he's trained. You want to have a study session with the guys— ahm. Malleus was also a freshman once, mind you! He can assist you to the best of his abilities. You don't need study sessions. And, just for the record, he's not jealous.
During music lessons, you'll see him play an exceptionally difficult violin composition. During class, you'll see him use a rather flashy defensive magic technique. If you can't reach a book which he can reach from the higher shelves, he'll use a magic spell to bring it to you. You want to tie a new hairstyle? He'll use a magic spell to tie it for you.
Other times, he'll send you the most flashiest presents. You told him you were going to buy the newest ramune flavour from Mr. S' Mystery shop? That very day, he'll come to you, his hands laden with shopping bags containing 3 bottles of each flavour he came across, a triumphant expression on his face as he expects you to stroke his horns. You told him you found his gargoyles adorable? Next day, you find your desk filled with miniature gargoyles.
Tumblr media
Lilia Vanrouge:
'Like father, like son', the saying goes. And as Malleus' father figure, Lilia taught him all that he knows. So, naturally, Lilia is exceptionally talented as well! With him, there's no need for you to even do anything. He'll do it for you. You want to learn something new? He'll offer to teach it to you, but obviously, he'll leave a few parts out so you can keep on asking him about them and rely on him! It's a win in his book!
During flight lessons, he'll throw in a few extra fancy twirls and movements (especially when you're around), during club activities, he'll play an extra difficult guitar riff to impress you. When you're in the cafeteria, he'll teleport to you even if you're 5 steps away. When you're playing games together, he'll defeat a supreme level boss to clear the level and impress you.
He'll tell you tales and fables of his past in the Briar Valley and how he took care of both Malleus and Silver, and how he won so many medals for his service, and what not! He'll show you his medals and awards (also baby Malleus' little sippy bottle and baby pillow with dents for his tiny horns Lilia kept as mementos) and show you his picture in NRC's History textbook. Surely, you're impressed by now!
Tumblr media
Sebek Zigvolt:
If there's someone from Diasomnia who'll try to impress you the MOST, it's Sebek. Though, it's hard for him to stay on track. Most of the time, instead of his own, he'll discuss Malleus' attributes and skills for hours and hours until you have to physically get away. Then, Sebek tries to impress you again, this time with a more him-focused initiative.
He'll loudly shout the answers during class units to impress you with his knowledge, but at this point, everyone is used to his volume, so that's a fail. He'll try to impress you with his analytical skills and mathematics, before he somehow relates all this to Malleus and Lilia. For once, he'll clear his throat and try to stay on track. He'll try to impress you with his magic and purposely walk past you while doing heavy-lifting tasks at Diasomnia. He'll pick up 8 chairs at once to showcase his inhumane strength.
He HATES dark coffee, but the only three people he'd drink it for are Malleus, Lilia and you. He'll try to impress you with his "love" for dark coffee, trying to hide his twitching eye as he registers the wretched flavour. Furthermore, he'll also try to show you his swordsmanship abilities. At this point, please be impressed!
Tumblr media
Silver:
Trust me, he has many plans and ideas on how to impress you, but he almost always ends up falling asleep before he can do it. Other times, he'll try to catch your attention by showcasing his swordsmanship abilities. A few unnecessarily complicated sword maneuvers? Check. Perfect stance and fighting style? Check. Sunlight being the paid actor? Check.
He'll try to impress you by displaying his fencing skills. Afterwards, he'll cook his favourite mushroom risotto and arrange it in a rather fancy manner. Then, he'll go make some coffee to freshen up, but it's not just any coffee! He'll make a delicious latte and make spectacular latte art on top, attempting to impress you with his abilities.
During club activities, he'll purposely ride his horse close to you, trying to make you watch as he does a few discreet tricks and techniques to show a perfect horse riding display. He's trying, okay?? Be impressed.

Final Duet pt. 2 - c.s.
Cairo Sweet x fem!reader
"My thoughts will follow you into your dreams."
Summary: You give Cairo the violin part of the duet before spending time together at your house.
a/n: Inspired by Omori, if you haven't played it, do. The story is beautiful. There will be no spoilers in this so don't worry about that :)
Warning: Bullying, Homophobia, Death
Part 1. Part 2. Part 3. Part 4.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I watch out the window of my final class period as the first snowflake of January falls to the cold earth. It has now been a couple months since I've started receiving violin lessons from you, and I've been improving quickly.
The bell rings, causing everyone to grab all their belongings to go watch the first snow fall. I grab my backpack, leaving after everyone else.
I walk down the empty hallway to the music room, finding you humming that ever familiar tune while leaning against the wall.
You turn your head to the sound of my footsteps. "Hey, Cairo."
You look at me with that patient smile that I will never get over. "I was thinking we could practice at my place, I want to enjoy the snow for a minute."
I nod, instinctively. "Yeah that's fine."
I've never been to Y/n's house, so I'm a little nervous.
"Oh! Before I forget." You start digging into your bag, bringing out a piece of paper.
You hold out a piece of sheet music. "It's the violin part in the duet I wrote. I think you've improved enough to learn it."
I grab the sheet music, staring at the notes on the page. "I- Thank you, Y/n."
I find your smile infectious. "Let's get to my place so you can start practicing it."
The snow gently falls as we walk down the street, your head facing the sky, admiring weather. "I've always loved the snow, brings a sort of liveliness to the dead winter."
I find myself admiring your joyous face, distracted by the snow. "It is nice."
You look down at the sidewalk, stepping over the cracks. "I was thinking maybe we could hold a recital. Nothing too big, but I think it could be fun and exciting."
I find myself silent for a moment, thinking about the idea.
"Did you want to perform your duet?" I ask, also watching my step.
You nod. "It would be nice to have a small audience to listen to what I've made."
We start approaching a small humble home that has a makeshift green house on the side. "Welcome to my house."
You start to follow the concrete path. "Let's put our stuff down, and I'll show you around."
We walk into the cozy yet silent house. I look around, unable to hide my smile when I see a picture of you as a child. "It's very homey."
You put your backpack up by the door.
"Thanks, I also really like it." You look out the window to the greenhouse. "Do you wanna see my garden?"
We open the door to the greenhouse, the warmth contrasting the cold winter air. You walk to a pot containing a rose bush. "This was one my first plants I started growing here."
You crouch down near to the flower, gently touching the petals. "I'm envious of roses. They're so universally loved, yet aren't afraid to stand up for themselves."
You glide your finger across one of the thorns, gently enough to feel how sharp it is, but not sharp enough to cut.
I watch you as you admire the roses, wishing you'd look at me the same way.
You stand, guiding me to the next flower. "This one is called Lily of the Valley, I'm a big fan of their bell shape."
I watch as your eyes become lost in the plant. "It's said that they're able to ward off evil spirits and help people see a brighter future."
Your eyes look into mine. "I guess in that way, they remind me of you."
I find myself taken aback by your sudden compliment.
You look down at the floor, avoiding eye contact. "If you want to consider those two people who tease me evil spirits."
You stand, walking to a white flower that is shaped like wings. Some of them are wilting. "These are white egret orchids. They're a bit difficult to take care of, but it just reminds me that life is fragile and I should cherish every moment."
You're silent for a moment, admiring your plants once again. "In the language of flowers, it symbolizes the phrase. My thoughts will follow you into your dreams."
I watch as you grab a watering can. "That's beautiful, Y/n."
You respond a patient smile. "Want me to show you how I take care of them?"
After some time passes, we find our way back inside your house. We ascend the staircase up to your room.
You open the door, revealing a room decorated with incandescent string lights and fake vines. "It's nothing crazy, a little stereotypical even."
I take a few steps past the doorway. "It's very, you."
There's a book on your bed labelled 'memories.'
"I thought I threw that out, my mom must've pulled it out of the trash can." You say while picking it up, mixed feelings on you face as you open past the cover to reveal multiple Polaroids of you and your previous friends.
A smile finds your face as you reminisce. You sit down on the bed, patting the space next to you.
I take a seat, looming over your shoulder as you point at one of the pictures. It contained you holding a plate of funnel cake while your friends held prizes from different attractions. "We all went to a carnival that was being held in town, I was clearly more interested in the treats over the games."
You move your finger to a different polaroid. "And here we had a picnic one night, we put fairy lights on the trees above us. It was a magical time."
You exhale a deep breath as you close the book, standing to put it back on your shelf. "That's enough reminiscing, I'll have to thank my mom for pulling that out of the trash."
We leave your bedroom, walking through the doorway. As we near the stairs, I nearly trip over a bit of a wooden tile sticking up a bit off the ground.
You grab my wrist, preventing me from falling "Be careful! My mom said she'd fix that months ago, but hasn't gotten around to it yet."
Blush mixed with your touch and embarrassment find my face.
You precariously step over the dangerous bump on the floor to descend the staircase.
We navigate to a different room downstairs that has a piano, music stands, and a violin on display.
You set up a couple of music stands and seats. "Ready to learn our song?"
I approach my seat, pausing at your words. "Our song?"
"Yeah, why not? I don't really want anyone else learning it. The song has gained a lot more meaning to me because of you." Your sheet music finds the music stand before your glance shifts to mine, a smile on your face. "I can't say I met anyone else who I barely knew who suddenly started learning a whole instrument for me."
You stand, picking up the violin on display. It's much nicer than the ones at the school. "Are you ready?"
A couple hours breeze by, the sound of strings fill the silent house as the sun starts to set beyond the window. The golden light highlighting your eyes.
You turn towards the window, staring at the falling snow. "What if we take a break for now? I kinda wanna do something out in the snow. If you're down for that."
I follow your gaze, watching the snow reflect the golden rays before standing. "Let's do it."
You stand, a smile stretching across your face as you hold your hand out.
I find a hint of blush on my face as I reach out, interlocking our fingers. Your hand holds mine with a gentle, comforting warmth. I hope you find the same comfort in mine.
We step out the door, the cold breeze finding it's way through my winter clothes. You release your hand from mine, the cold instantly replacing your warmth.
You bend over, grabbing a hunk of snow off the ground and forming a sphere. I watch you for a moment, admiring your smile. I bend over to do the same, following your motions as you start to roll it on the ground.
It's clear you have much more experience at this than I, as you manage to make a snowball up to around your hips. You roll your snowball by the doorway. "Do you need help putting yours on top?"
I nod as I roll it closer. We both bend down, lifting the snowball on top of the other. It ends up being to the height of my upper arm.
"I'll be right back!" You say excitedly, running inside.
The clouds above us are beginning to fade to shades of purples and pinks as the sun continues to set.
You run back outside, carrying a box of random winter clothes. I find myself smiling at your excitement. You grab a scarf out of the box, wrapping it around what is supposed to be the neck of the snowman.
"You gonna help?" You ask, smugly.
I come back to reality. "Yeah, sorry." I find myself rushing towards the box.
We both take a step back, admiring our creation.
You rush back to the box, grabbing a camera you managed to sneak outside.
I watch your figure, emanating with joy, as you practically tackle me as your wrap your arm around my shoulder, soon met the flash of a camera.
A picture prints out the bottom, the photo still needing time to develop.
You stare at the blank square for a moment, smiling while holding it out towards me. "I want you to have it."
I find myself staring the picture, trying to see if I can watch it develop as you begin to walk away for a moment, next moment I'm met with a snowball to the face.
"Y/n!" I shout, rubbing it off my face
You giggle as I gently place the picture in the box, reaching for the snow beneath me to challenge back.
"Ahh!" You cower your face behind your arms as I throw a snowball back. I don't give you a moment to recover, quickly making another.
As you begin to bend over, my snowball meets the top of your head, getting snow all over your hair. You drop your partially finished one, brushing my shattered snowball off your head.
By the time you're done, another snowball manages to meet your face.
"Okay! okay! I surrender!" You shout through your chattering teeth, raising your hands above your head with a smile.
I can't help but find your smile infectious. "I think that's our que to get back inside."
You cross your arms over your chest, shivering. "That's probably a good idea."
The sound of a fire crackling fills the lounge as we sit in front of a fireplace. You're motioning your hands towards the flames as I hold a warm mug of hot chocolate.
Your arms stop shivering as I release one of my hands from the mug, grabbing the picture you took earlier. You have a wide smile, looking at the lens with excited eyes, while my face is flushed red. The photo fuzzy but it adds to the character.
I find myself smiling at the photo, soon met with your head suddenly dropping onto my shoulder.
I freeze in place at the sudden contact, I look back at your head turned to see me from my shoulder.
"Is this okay?" You ask, staring at me longingly.
I nod, causing you to smile while turning your head to the fire. It doesn't take too long before your breathing slows as you fall asleep.
I take a moment to admire how cute you are while asleep before staring at the picture one more time.
a/n: poll is complete! I will bare minimum complete the Cairo one. If I still want to write another version with Tara I'll likely do that at some point, will probably be awhile though.

Remus Lupin head canons i’ve been collecting for 10+ years
- this hoe loves books, i know that’s a common head canon but let me dive deeper;
- he definitely is checking out matilda level amounts of books from the library every week before going to hogwarts.
- homeschooled by his mother 100% and she would make him write book reports so he learned to love annotating books
- cut to lily seeing him writing in a book in 1st year and being absolutely disgusted but eager to make friends so she asks him his favorite books and authors.
- remus goes on like an hour long tangent about tolkien and c.s. lewis and how much he loves fantasy and how he’s so excited he gets to be at hogwarts because it’s so close to his escape from his lycanthropy as a child.
- lily tells him all about literature and they start a book club right then and there.
- remus also studied piano from his mom as well, and then eventually when she couldn’t teach him anymore his parents saved up to pay for a teacher.
- he loves his piano teacher and over summer breaks goes back and takes lessons
- bonds with sirius because of this as sirius had to learn violin to become a “well rounded heir”. they play duet covers as entertainment for gryffindor parties and everyone fucking loves it.
- eventually mary joins in and plays guitar and they have a cute little peter paul and mary vibe going on.
- remus is so outspoken, and truly always the first to be informed on politics or news
- was very forthcoming on his views about the war, along with james and sirius. i believe remus was the most “radical” of them though, and wanted freedom/ equality for all creatures not just wizards.
- he also felt unease at the ministry and wanted systematic changes as well as wanting to fight against voldemort.
- extremely distrustful of dumbledoor towards the end of the war, and it caused division between him and sirius until the second war when sirius realized remus had been right.
- remus had a magical proclivity for defense, and was a great dueler. the only person who he was evenly matched with in his class was sirius. they often fought to draws. they absolutely keep count of their wins.
- remus, lily, and mary all collectively give james and sirius their music tastes. they have new records every time they come home from break.
- remus is absolutely a stoner and loves smoking joints, reading, and listening to music during his free time.
- him and sirius smoke together sometimes but remus smokes a lot more than sirius because it really helps him with his chronic pain and depression.
- oh remus rolling a joint is like the most sexy thing anyone has ever seen. sirius frequently uses those memories for….personal time.
- remus uses an expansion charm under his bed and grows his own weed, eventually becomes hogwarts resident dealer and always puts freebies in his deliveries
- the freebies include:
- little drawings made by sirius
- chcocolates
- sometimes if he’s hanging out with marlene and has to deliver an order she’ll draw a tarot card for the person and write down a little reading for them!
- remus’ own handmade stickers!
- yeah he’s everyone’s favorite drug dealer seriously 10/10.
- he operates this all under minnie’s nose and is forever smug about getting away with it.
- i could probably think of a million more because i just love him so much but ive been hitting my pen while writing this so i’m gonna go make a snack!!!

.·:*¨༺ Drabble: Love me, Love me, Love me ༻¨*:·.
Context: my gf has been inspiring me to write stuff for the Casino AU on Luka's side because she picked to write for RH Miku instead, so I ended up choosing your typical background for her in which she was part of a wealthy family with high standards- (I swear that trope follows me everywhere)
'Luka was born in a privileged family from the neighborhood of Akasaka, in Tokyo. Her father was a CEO of Tokyo Broadcasting System Holdings, Inc. (TBS), and her mother a fashion designer hailing from a Bulgarian family. Since she was really young, her parents put her through a pretty strict and conservative lifestyle. Elegant but very restrictive. As expected, her parents signed her up for the most prestigious schools and forced her to do extra activities, that in her case would involve things like tea ceremonies, learn how to play various instruments (among them the guitar, the violin and piano), and later on singing classes once they learnt that their daughter had a special talent for music. If they didn't fail in their plan, it was because Luka herself loved to learn new things and she herself appreciated the arts, eventually even learning how to draw on her own in the little free time she had, but it was as she got older, that she started to realize that this lifestyle -the one her parents forced to- was no more than shackles that made it impossible for her to have full control over her life...'
Tumblr media
𝘍𝘢𝘳 𝘧𝘢𝘳 𝘢𝘸𝘢𝘺 𝘪𝘯 𝘢 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘢 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘦 𝘓𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘥 𝘢 𝘯𝘦𝘤𝘬𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘺.
Ever since she was so young, she had a collar around her neck. Waiting for the love from those who decided to have her.
Dedicating her time from so early to be the best, thinking that her reward would arrive one day, not in the form of material gifts, but simply in the form of ████.
“𝘐𝘵’𝘴 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘐 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥, 𝘰𝘩 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘥” 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘬𝘦𝘳 𝘢𝘤𝘤𝘶𝘳𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘧𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘴𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘮 𝘋𝘰 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘣𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘳𝘺, 𝘥𝘰 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘨𝘰 𝘢𝘸𝘢𝘺, 𝘣𝘦 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘈𝘯𝘥 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘺𝘰𝘶’𝘭𝘭 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘺
"Dad! I got the best grade in the class!" She smiled, happy. Holding the paper with the results of her exam. One of many. 8 years old, but the response was always the same.
"Well done, Luka. Keep going." Her father would reply, with the same dry and emotionless tone he always had. He didn't give much attention to her daughter, more focused on the computer's screen, and soon making a gesture with her hand so the girl would leave him alone.
Innocent and thinking it was enough, she would go to her mother's room.
"Mom! I got the best grade in the class!" With the same excitement she smiled.
But her mother only looked at her from the corner of her eye, busy with an important call. Her calls were always very important.
She didn't even reply to her. A simple half-smile, giving a headpat to her daughter's head, before turning away to continue her work.
𝘞𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘦𝘳,𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘦𝘸 𝘶𝘱, 𝘯𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘭𝘺 𝘸𝘩𝘪𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘕𝘰𝘣𝘰𝘥𝘺 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦, 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦’𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘣𝘰𝘥𝘺 𝘢𝘵 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘐’𝘮 𝘥𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘰 𝘸𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘥?
15 years old. Making friends in school at the same time she continued attending her responsibilities. The classes, the extra lessons. She didn't have much time for herself aside of those breaks at school in which she simply wanted to have fun with friends.
"Dad! I got the best grade in the class!" She smiled, happy. Holding the paper with the results of her exam.
(𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘴𝘦𝘦, 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘴𝘦𝘦) 𝘐’𝘮 𝘴𝘶𝘤𝘩 𝘢 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘨𝘪𝘳𝘭 𝘊𝘶𝘵𝘦 𝘢𝘴 𝘢 𝘣𝘶𝘵𝘵𝘰𝘯, 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘥? (𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘴𝘦𝘦, 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘴𝘦𝘦) 𝘚𝘰 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥, 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘨𝘪𝘳𝘭
But the grade, even if still the best of the class, was slightly under what Luka usually got.
Her father, silent, observing the paper, would soon stretch a hand to pick the paper from her daughter's hands. His dead and tired eyes looked over the exam, then to her daughter, then the exam again, before looking at Luka again.
And without warning, with an open palm, the man hit the cheek with strength, making the girl lose balance and getting her to cover the area that received the impact.
Her heart sunk and Luka froze, clenching her jaw and trying to hold back the tears that formed in her eyes.
I̷n̷ ̷p̷a̷i̷n̷,̷ ̷I̷ ̷s̷c̷r̷e̷a̷m̷ ̷y̷o̷u̷ ̷s̷e̷e̷?̷
"You've been careless because of your friends." The man would say, with a severe tone while he squished and crushed the paper with his strong hand. "Go to your room. You're going to give me your phone. And you aren't going to have access to social media until school is over. You must focus on your studies to be the best. Always the best. You can't forget about it if you want to inherit everything."
The girl couldn't even speak. Speechless and feeling her throat close on herself tightly. It hurt- choking on her own pride to not show any kind of feeling hurt, a lot.

18 years old. She managed to pass the entry exam in the first try.
She didn't have friends, she thought. Meiko was still on her side even when she tried to cut contact to focus on studies. Maybe the only one that still tried to reach to her. Without knowing it, they would go to the same university. But externally, Luka didn't seem to care.

"Very well done, Luka." Her father would say after finding out her daughter passed the entry exam. "I'm proud of you."
That was the first time she heard it, and even then, Luka still felt empty. She didn't feel anything. Not happiness, not sadness, not even being proud of herself.
She should be happy, but perhaps the lack of expression on her father's face made it feel it still wasn't enough. The only thing she felt was the man's hand on her shoulder, squeezing lightly before he let go.
Her mother, didn't even congratulate her via text. She wasn't home. She was attending a fashion show she worked for, outside the country. But she guessed she didn't care. She didn't care anymore.
This wasn't enough for her if she wanted to be the best.

"Father. I'm leaving." Her tone was filled with confidence and determination about leaving all of this while she wrote the note to leave behind. If she really was the best, she didn't need them, she herself would choose what kind of peak she wanted to conquer.
Her mother? Not even at home, but it didn't matter. Not even a message she would send her.
Suitcases packed with all the things she needed to disappear from their life- to break this bond that always felt like a simple formal business, without any remorse.
That maybe this way one day she would find ████.

The Prodigy
"Beyond the Spotlight," Y/N, the daughter of music icon J.Y. Park, escapes her father’s suffocating expectations by attending a prestigious boarding school. When forced back into his world, she becomes the bodyguard for K-pop group Stray Kids and finds unexpected love with member Felix. As she navigates fame and danger, Y/N must fight to reclaim her identity and forge her own path.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Y/N’s life was a whirlwind from the moment she took her first breath in Seoul. Born to a man whose name resonated throughout the heart of the music industry—J.Y. Park, the icon of the '80s—she became the embodiment of his dreams and ambitions. Under the watchful gaze of her father, every moment of Y/N’s childhood was meticulously planned. From the age of four, she was subjected to a grueling regimen that included taekwondo lessons, piano practice, and dance classes. Every day unfolded like a well-rehearsed script, each hour devoted to crafting her into a prodigy capable of standing in J.Y. Park’s illustrious shadow.
Trained in multiple disciplines—including singing, dancing, ballet, violin, piano, mixed martial arts, archery, and languages—Y/N was molded into a multifaceted talent. Fluent in Korean and English, she had learned English primarily during her time at boarding school, a skill that allowed her to express herself more freely in a world that felt both foreign and exhilarating. In addition to English, she picked up Italian, German, and French, driven by a fervent desire to connect with the broader world beyond her father’s oppressive grasp. Each language she absorbed felt like an extension of her identity, a bridge to cultures she yearned to explore and understand.
As she mastered each discipline, a sense of resentment simmered beneath the surface. She understood that her father’s dreams were not her own; she was crafted, not just nurtured. Y/N felt more like a tool in his ambitions than a daughter. The spotlight her father envisioned for her grew increasingly heavy, pressing against her shoulders and suffocating her desires.
At thirteen, Y/N reached her breaking point. When she dared to voice dreams of a life outside the rigid molds her father had carved for her, he responded with disappointment and anger. Rather than supporting her, he saw only a reflection of failure. In a fit of fury, he used his influence to send her away to a prestigious performing arts boarding school located in the picturesque Cotswolds, an area renowned for its stunning landscapes and charming villages. It was believed that the serene countryside could nurture her creativity away from the pressures of Seoul, but for Y/N, it felt like a punishment for her defiance.
As Y/N arrived at the boarding school, the Gothic structure rose majestically against the rolling hills, its stone facade covered in vibrant green ivy. The school was nestled among lush pastures and quaint cottages, creating an idyllic backdrop for her new life. Here, she was greeted by a vibrant tapestry of students from different backgrounds, each pursuing their passion in music, dance, and art. Initially overwhelmed by the change, Y/N soon found solace within the school’s walls. Roaming the sprawling campus, she discovered hidden gardens and peaceful nooks to escape into her thoughts.
The boarding school's rigorous curriculum allowed her to cultivate her talents without the suffocating gaze of her dad. It was a paradise for exploration, where she could experiment with her creative instincts. Classes brimming with laughter and lively discussions replaced the rigidity of her past. A particular art class helped her to express herself in vivid colors, while music lessons challenged her to discover her unique voice. As she flourished in her studies, she immersed herself in archery, finding joy and focus in the art of aiming her bow—a stark contrast to the chaos of her previous life.
Life in the Cotswolds was a whirlwind of creativity and camaraderie. Late-night conversations with her roommate—fueled by laughter, shared dreams, and the occasional sentimental tear—illuminated paths she might have never considered. Surrounded by friends who celebrated their differences, Y/N felt an exhilarating sense of belonging. Time spent huddled in common areas, discussing music and dance, taking in the beauty of the countryside, ignited a new fire within her soul. Encouraged by her friends’ genuine support, she easily found herself embracing the local dialect and quaint expressions, her accent shifting slightly as she laughed with her peers.
Yet, beneath this newfound freedom lingered the shadow of her father. The occasional phone call sent her spiraling back to the reality she had escaped. He would remind her of her duties, always laced with disapproval, the weight of his expectations casting a dark pall over her blissful moments. Despite the joyous experiences she created, she felt torn between the life she wanted to lead and the life he demanded she lead.

ᯓ★ age-gap fic between violinist!reader and older!heeseung
ᯓ★ warnings : kiss, fluff, angst
ᯓ★ synopsis : When 28-year-old Lee Heeseung, a world-famous classical pianist, returns to his hometown after years of performing all around the world, he doesn't expect his world to be turned upside down by Y/N, a bubbly, talented 20-year-old violinist with a dream. As their connection deepens, they navigate the intricate dance between ambition and forbidden love, forced to confront the shadows of their past and the results of their growing feelings.
๋࣭⭑────୨ৎ────⭑๋࣭
The quiet buzz of the concert hall filled the space as the lights dimmed, leaving only the stage illuminated. Lee Heeseung stepped into the spotlight, the keys of the grand piano shining under the lights. Applause erupted, but he barely noticed. This was his life - his routine, his stage. Yet somehow, tonight felt different.
As his fingers glided over the keys, his eyes briefly connected with the ones of a figure in the wings. She wasn't a staff member, or one of the usual admirers. She was young, bright-eyed, and utterly captivated. Her gaze pierced through his, and for a split second, Heeseung's perfect rhythm faltered.
๋࣭⭑────୨ৎ────⭑๋࣭
The after-party was a grand affair, hosted in a luxurious rooftop venue that overlooked the city skyline. Heeseung mingled with sponsors and critics, his polite smile never wavering. But the monotony of praise began to weigh on him, and he found himself retreating to a quieter corner.
That’s when he saw her again, standing near the refreshment table, a flute of sparkling water in her hand. She was out of place yet confident, her posture straight and her eyes scanning the room as if cataloging every detail.
“Enjoy the performance?” Heeseung asked as he approached, his voice cutting through the ambient chatter.
Startled, she turned. “It was breathtaking,” she admitted, her voice steady despite the tremor in her hands. “I’ve never seen someone command an audience like that.”
“Do you play?” he asked, motioning to the violin case slung over her shoulder.
“I’m studying to. Well, trying to,” she said with a nervous laugh. “Y/N.”
“Heeseung,” he replied, though she clearly already knew. Something about her intrigued him—an energy, a spark that set her apart from the polished crowd around them.
๋࣭⭑────୨ৎ────⭑๋࣭
The hall was full of activity, students rushing between classes and rehearsals. Heeseung hadn't intended on giving a masterclass, but his manager insisted, claiming his presence would support the students.
He wasn't expecting Y/N to be one of them. Her fiery ambition radiated as she played her violin, her raw technique mixed in with moments of brilliance. She wasn't the best in the class, but there was something magnetic about her performance.
After the session, she stayed behind, waiting until the other students had filtered out.
"That piece you played at your concert...I've been trying to learn it."
"It's difficult," he said, raising an eyebrow. "But not impossible."
"Would you teach me?" she rushed, her cheeks turning red as the words escaped.
Heeseung hesitated for a moment. Teaching meant commitment, and he wasn't sure if he wanted that. But her eyes - full of determination - broke down his resolve. Against his better judgement, he agreed.
๋࣭⭑────୨ৎ────⭑๋࣭
Y/N’s apartment was a reflection of her personality—chaotic yet full of life. Plants lined the windowsills, and sheet music was scattered across the coffee table. Heeseung couldn’t help but smile as he stepped inside.
“Sorry about the mess,” she said, hastily gathering the papers. “I wasn’t expecting company.”
“It’s fine,” he assured her, his gaze wandering to a photo on the wall of a young Y/N with an older man. Her father, perhaps?
Their lessons began with structured discipline. Heeseung was meticulous, correcting her posture, her bow grip, even the way she breathed. But as days turned into weeks, the lines between teacher and student began to blur.
One evening, after a particularly tiring session, Y/N collapsed onto the couch, laughing. “I don’t think I’ve ever worked this hard.”
“You’re improving,” he remarked, a rare smile gracing his lips. “Slowly, but surely."
“Thanks to you,” she said, her voice soft. Their eyes met, and for a moment, the world seemed to hold its breath. The air between them was charged, but Heeseung quickly looked away, breaking the spell.
๋࣭⭑────୨ৎ────⭑๋࣭
One night, after a late practice, Y/N insisted on cooking dinner. Heeseung watched as she moved around the kitchen, her movements uncoordinated but endearing.
“Why did you come back?” she asked suddenly, breaking the comfortable silence.
Heeseung hesitated. “I needed a break. Life on the road isn’t as glamorous as it seems.”
“So you’re hiding?”
He chuckled. “Maybe. What about you? Why music?”
Her expression grew somber. “It’s the only thing that’s ever felt like mine. My parents wanted me to go into medicine, but I couldn’t let go of this.”
Their conversation grew more personal as the night wore on. Heeseung found himself opening up in ways he hadn’t expected, sharing stories from his past, his struggles with perfectionism, and the loneliness of fame.
As the evening drew to a close, their gazes locked, and the tension between them became almost unbearable. But Heeseung forced himself to pull away. “It’s late. I should go.”
๋࣭⭑────୨ৎ────⭑๋࣭
Heeseung’s departure from Y/N’s apartment left a lingering tension neither could ignore. He drove home in silence, the city lights blurring into streaks of gold and white. His mind wandered to her eyes, the way they seemed to draw out truths he had long buried. This wasn’t supposed to happen—he was her mentor, and there were boundaries he had no right to cross. Yet, something about her made those lines increasingly difficult to see.
The following week brought them back to the practice rooms, but the air between them felt different. Their sessions were as intense as ever, but Heeseung found himself hyper-aware of her presence. The way her fingers moved over the strings, the faint scent of lavender she carried, the way her laugh echoed in the practice room—everything about her was intoxicating.
Their routine shifted when Y/N suggested a duet for the conservatory’s upcoming gala. “It’ll be perfect,” she said, her eyes shining with excitement. “We can perform the piece I’ve been learning.”
Heeseung hesitated. Performing with her would draw attention, and attention was the last thing he wanted. Still, her enthusiasm was contagious. “Alright,” he agreed, “but you’ll need to work twice as hard.”
๋࣭⭑────୨ৎ────⭑๋࣭
As the gala approached, Heeseung’s life outside their rehearsals became increasingly chaotic. His manager, Jini, was relentless, urging him to commit to new projects and tours. “You can’t stay hidden forever,” she argued during a heated phone call. “Your career thrives on visibility.”
“I’m not ready,” he snapped.
Jini sighed. “You’re running, Heeseung. But from what?”
Her question lingered long after the call ended. Heeseung knew what he was avoiding: the weight of expectations, the pressure to be perfect, and the mistakes he’d made in the past. Mistakes that still haunted him.
Meanwhile, Y/N’s world was also unraveling. Her childhood friend, Chaeyoung, confronted her over coffee. “You’re spending a lot of time with him,” Mina said, her tone cautious.
“He’s my mentor,” Y/N replied, but Chaeyoung wasn’t convinced.
“Just be careful,” Chaeyoung warned. “He’s older, experienced, and you’re...vulnerable.”
Y/N bristled at the implication but couldn’t shake Chaeyoung's words. Was she being naive? Was her connection with Heeseung crossing a line she couldn’t see?
๋࣭⭑────୨ৎ────⭑๋࣭
The night of the gala arrived, and the conservatory’s main hall was transformed into a glittering spectacle. Students and faculty mingled with donors and esteemed guests, but all eyes were on Heeseung and Y/N as they took the stage.
Their performance was electric, the interplay between piano and violin weaving a story that left the audience breathless. When the final note faded, the applause was deafening.
Backstage, Heeseung turned to Y/N, his eyes filled with pride. “You were incredible.”
“So were you,” she replied, her voice soft. For a moment, they stood in silence, the world around them fading away. Heeseung stepped closer, his hand brushing against hers. The moment was charged, but before either could act, Jini appeared.
“Heeseung, we need to talk,” she said, her tone brisk. He pulled away, the spell broken.
“I’ll see you later,” he told Y/N, his expression unreadable as he followed Jini.
๋࣭⭑────୨ৎ────⭑๋࣭
The aftermath of the gala brought more complications than either anticipated. Y/N’s performance caught the attention of influential figures, and offers for auditions and collaborations began pouring in. But instead of excitement, she felt overwhelmed. Every opportunity seemed to come with strings attached, and the pressure to prove herself grew suffocating.
Heeseung, meanwhile, found himself at odds with Jini. “You’re sabotaging your career,” she accused during a heated argument. “Staying here, playing mentor to some student… What are you doing, Heeseung?”
“It’s not just about her,” he argued, though even he wasn’t sure if that was true.
“Then what is it about?” Jiwoo demanded, but Heeseung had no answer.
Their worlds collided one evening when Y/N showed up at his apartment, tears streaming down her face. “I can’t do this,” she said, her voice breaking. “It’s too much.”
Without thinking, Heeseung pulled her into his arms, his hand stroking her hair as she cried. “You’re not alone,” he whispered, his voice filled with a tenderness that scared them both.
๋࣭⭑────୨ৎ────⭑๋࣭
In the days that followed Y/N’s emotional visit to Heeseung’s apartment, a delicate truce formed between them. Their lessons continued, but the unspoken tension lingered, their every glance charged with the weight of things left unsaid. For Y/N, the pressure to succeed grew insurmountable as offers for prestigious auditions and collaborations rolled in. Yet, every step forward felt like it pulled her further away from what she truly wanted.
Meanwhile, Heeseung wrestled with his own demons. Memories of his former life—the relentless touring, the personal betrayals—crept in like shadows, forcing him to question whether he could ever truly find peace. Y/N was a bright light in his life, but he feared his presence might dim hers.
One evening, as they practiced in the conservatory’s empty hall, Y/N set her violin down abruptly. “I can’t do this anymore,” she said, her voice trembling. “I’m being pulled in a thousand directions, and I don’t even know what I’m chasing.”
Heeseung stepped closer, his expression softening. “You’re chasing your dream. But maybe it’s time to ask yourself what that dream really looks like.”
Y/N met his gaze, her eyes brimming with unshed tears. “I thought I knew. But now…” Her voice broke, and Heeseung’s resolve crumbled. He reached out, his hand brushing her cheek.
“You’re allowed to change your mind,” he said softly. “You don’t have to have all the answers right now.”
For a moment, the space between them disappeared, and Heeseung’s thumb traced the curve of her cheek. Tentatively, as though testing the boundaries they had carefully maintained, Y/N leaned forward. Their lips met, a soft, tentative kiss that deepened as the emotions they had suppressed finally spilled over.
Heeseung pulled back slightly, his forehead resting against hers. “This might be a mistake,” he murmured, though his voice held no conviction.
“If it is, it’s the best one I’ve ever made,” Y/N whispered, her fingers clutching his shirt. The unspoken agreement between them allowed the moment to linger, their breaths mingling as they stood locked in each other’s presence.
๋࣭⭑────୨ৎ────⭑๋࣭
The conservatory’s gala performance earned Y/N widespread acclaim, but it also brought scrutiny. A rival violinist, Kwon Junseo, began spreading rumors about her relationship with Heeseung. “She’s only getting attention because of him,” he sneered to anyone who would listen. The whispers reached Y/N quickly, leaving her devastated.
“Is this what people think of me?” she asked Heeseung during one of their late-night practices. “That I’m using you?”
Heeseung’s jaw tightened. “People will always talk. But you and I know the truth. That’s what matters.”
But it wasn’t enough. The rumors began to affect Y/N’s confidence, and she started withdrawing from the opportunities she had worked so hard to earn. Desperate to shield her, Heeseung confronted Junseo during a faculty meeting.
“You don’t know anything about her,” Heeseung said, his voice low but dangerous. “If you spent half as much time practicing as you do gossiping, you might actually become someone worth listening to.”
Junseo flushed, but Heeseung’s words only fueled the fire. The tension at the conservatory reached a breaking point, and Y/N began to wonder if leaving was the only solution.
๋࣭⭑────୨ৎ────⭑๋࣭
On a cold winter evening, Y/N stood outside Heeseung’s apartment, clutching an envelope in her hands. Inside was a letter of acceptance to a prestigious music academy abroad. It was everything she had ever wanted, yet it felt like a goodbye she wasn’t ready to give.
When Heeseung opened the door, his expression shifted from surprise to concern. “What is it?” he asked, noticing her trembling hands.
“I got in,” she said, handing him the letter. “To the academy in Vienna.”
Heeseung’s heart sank, though he forced a smile. “That’s incredible. You deserve it.”
“But I don’t know if I want to go,” she admitted, her voice breaking. “I’m scared to leave everything behind. To leave you behind.”
Heeseung’s chest tightened. “Y/N, you can’t make this decision based on me. This is your dream, your chance to grow. Don’t let anything hold you back.”
“What if I’m not ready?” she asked, tears streaming down her face.
Heeseung cupped her face gently, his thumb brushing away her tears. “You’re more ready than you know. And no matter where you go, I’ll always be cheering for you.”
๋࣭⭑────୨ৎ────⭑๋࣭
Y/N’s departure came too soon, and the day she boarded her flight to Vienna felt like a blur. Heeseung stood at the airport, watching her disappear through the gates, his heart heavy but full of pride. He had let her go, knowing it was the right thing to do, even if it left an ache he couldn’t ignore.
In Vienna, Y/N flourished. The academy pushed her to new heights, and her confidence grew with every performance. Letters from Heeseung became her anchor, his words of encouragement reminding her of the strength she carried within.
Back home, Heeseung returned to the stage, finding a renewed passion for music. His performances carried a depth that critics praised, though only he knew the source of his inspiration.
๋࣭⭑────୨ৎ────⭑๋࣭
Years later, Y/N returned to the city for a special performance at the conservatory. The hall was packed, but her eyes sought out only one face in the crowd. When the lights dimmed, and the first notes of her violin filled the air, she felt his presence like a steady heartbeat.
After the concert, she found him waiting backstage. Time had changed them both, but the connection between them remained unbroken.
“You were extraordinary,” Heeseung said, his voice filled with pride.
“I had a great teacher,” she replied, her smile soft.
As they walked out into the crisp evening air, their footsteps falling in rhythm, Y/N reached for his hand. For the first time, they moved forward together, their paths no longer shadowed by uncertainty but illuminated by the music they had created—a symphony of shadows and light.

Silly little ramble to keep you guys entertained first (Deities)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'm sure we all know deities in Greek mythology, or in any other spirituality way, but man, finding out who your deity is, it's stressful man.
As a person who has been interested with Greek mythology ever since I was 9 or so, gosh, finding out who my deity is, was surprising. Especially when I connected to my whole life, gosh.
First off, My Deity is Apollon/Apollo, God of the Sun, Music, Poetry and Medicine. I never really dug into Deities, especially being in a family full of religious people.
And I'm not saying I'm not religious, I really am, I know that worshiping other gods, especially being a Christian is so called, wrong, but nothing is wrong in God's eyes, and I hope God just watches over me, telling me that he's always there if I ever want to worship him once again. So please don't come here to tell me I shouldn't be worshiping other Gods and despising me just because of this.
I loved witchcraft, I always thought it was amazing, I wanted to collect crystals and see prophecies, so when I realized finding your deity by tarot reading, offerings and prayers, I really wanted to try.
To answer how I connected my thoughts on Apollo being my deity, it was hard. You can't assume that everything is a sign, but what draws you in and what shows in your eyes is also a sign. You also can't assume that, That God or Goddess is your deity, you have to connect it with every single trait you've had in your life, your hobbies or anything you enjoy.
Since I, Love drawing, literature, poems, (I have so many in my drafts) music, want to do archery, want to study medicine, (become a pathologist.) My favorite color growing up was blue, to purple, but now it suddenly changed to yellow? Holy shit.
Every single trait is connected to Apollo. I am a person who wakes up early, prepares for school and learns, with the sun always beaming on me. Countless times, I go to school really early, where the sun is at its peak. (around 6:30 or so)
And I never really thought about Apollo being my deity, especially being a religious person. I never thought of worshiping other Gods or Goddesses until now.
Countless of times, I am always under the sun, ever since I was an infant and a baby, my family loved going to the beach. Sunrises and sunsets are my favorite. And gosh, how I look with gold jewelry, I love it.
The first trait I developed was drawing(if you'd even count that as a trait) I've been drawing ever since I was a toddler, seeing my older sister draw, and create lively designs and OC's, I wanted to experience them too.
Second was music. I've wanted to learn the guitar or violin, and Apollo is known for his lyre, which is a instrument with strings, just like guitars and violins, but my mother never got be into lessons, nor buy me one. And I listen to music, almost every single day, I have earbuds, earphones, headsets, and headphones all piled up because I have to many spares. I loved music, and it's where I found peace, and how melodies sound and how I immediately recognize the song just by the first note.
Third was my interest and Literature and poetry. I loved writing stories, and day dreaming, to the point I maladaptive day dreamed (till now I am, but I need to stop it. 🥹) And what I'm doing right now, all of my stories and all of my fics, I never even knew that I could write this much. And my love for Poetry was so random. I write poems that add up to 20 stanzas all because I'm in love, and or, feelings. If I feel lost, I write about it. If I feel annoyed or angry, I write about it. Different emotions, I write poems or stories about it. I always found a love for literature, loving how I could express myself with just simple words.
Fourth was my thirst for archery. Again, my parents never signed me up for classes in archery, thinking it's too expensive even though we could afford it. Archery bows and archery arrows, my mom didn't say yes to, and how much I itched to fight in sports competitions at my schools for archery, yet they only offered it to others that are said 'professionals'.
Last is my dream to learn medicine. I am one to fix people's wounds, whether it's their mental, physical, or emotional state. My emotional intelligence is through the roof, that I give the best advice, I help people with their mental health, yet I can't fix my own, and I help people patch up after they get hurt. I dream of being in the medical field, whether it be a pathologist or doctor.
Once I connected all the dots, from when I was little, to now, it's surprising to think that Apollo might've been following and guiding me. I just realized it today, and I'm contemplating whether or not to make an altar. But I probably will. Hehe. And rn, I'm too scared to assume that it's him, I am doing research!!
And again, please don't come after me for worshiping a different God, I know there are a lot of religious people, but please don't attack me. I still get religious guilt for even thinking about worshiping other Gods, but I really want to thank Apollo with all of the blessings and talents he has guided me to.
That's all, yippeee, bye bye🩷🫶

Professor Benevientos notes cuz I spent way too much time thinking about this AU
Donna
- sticks mostly with @shortstrawberry’s AU which originally inspired this
- Botanist and Toxicologist professor, teaches both undergrads and grads
- Still a doll maker that does it as a hobby, takes commissions at her own leisure online for extra cash
- In charge of the greenhouses, she designs the labs in there too
- She’s also conducting her own research in there for her PhD
- Is usually very on-top of students, she’ll reach out to students she notices not doing well in the class and do her best to assist in their success
- Surprisingly prefers teaching toxicology, but that’s mostly because she gets to work with Claudia for those lessons
- Workaholic, she’ll drown herself in grading papers or reading research papers and needs constant reminders to eat
- Most students are intimidated by her lol
Claudia
- Trauma surgeon and a licensed family doctor, she works these during weekends and holidays
- She teaches Anatomy and Physiology, as well as Biochemistry every other year
- Also an instructor in the organic chemistry labs if she can fit it in her schedule
- In charge of the cadaver labs
- Mostly teaches undergrads
- A pretty laid back professor, she definitely has the belief of “you’re paying for this, you’re choosing to be here, and you choose to do well or not”
- That doesn’t mean she’s an unfair professor. She is constantly reworking and reorganizing lessons and exams to make them as fair and educational as they can be
- Tells the best stories if class finishes early. She has the most students that remember her and bond with her out of the sisters
- Sews in her free time, loves making outfits when she can find the time
- Loves bothering the fuck out of her younger sister in staff rooms and meetings (Donna secretly loves it)
Bernadette
- Psychology and Neurology professor, works as a licensed therapist
- Helps with Donna in the greenhouses
- Mostly teaches grad students
- In charge of the Anatomy and Physiology labs
- Has a fair approach with students, she’ll reach out to those who are struggling but doesn’t pursue them
- Use to be on the board but has stepped down since then to make more time for her family
- She will take runs on campus between classes, sometimes Claudia joins her
- The heaviest tea drinker between the sisters, almost always seen with a bottle or flask
- Donna often weaves flowers into her hair and she’s not taking them out for the rest of the day, she’ll rather spread dirt and petals and insects around campus than throw out a flower her baby sis gave her
Angie
- human in this one! Claudia’s daughter
- She’s studying music at the campus, hoping to make it big like movie scores or video game soundtracks
- The building the classes she takes are close enough to the buildings her mom and aunties teach in so she often stops by to visit them
- Definitely privileged- she gets access to back offices and free stuff- especially when Donna is around
- Knows the guitar from her mom, got taught the piano by Bernadette, and both her and Donna learned the violin together. She’s self teaching herself the drums.
- Knows the loopholes around campus rules and abuses the shit out of them
- If there’s a new rule that’s added to campus, it’s because of her
- Doesn’t dorm, she lives with her family- it’s free food, rent, transport, and she doesn’t have to do chores most of the time- why wouldn’t she? (The real reason is that she loves them too much to leave but you won’t hear it from her)
- But she does have a group of friends who are all musicians and all dorm together so when she’s not home she’s with them

Today's watch:
Sofia Valiullina, Laurencia, 2023
youtube
Today's read:
Sofia Valiullina interview January 22, 2025
The heroine of our “Zemlyaki” (“Countrymen”) column is Sofya Valiullina, a ballet artist with the Bolshoi Theater of Russia and laureate of international competitions. Sofya was born in Ufa and began her ballet studies in the capital of Bashkortostan. The Bashinform news agency has written more than once about this young ballerina’s early successes and continues to follow her creative journey with great interest.
— Sofya, we, your countrymen, are proud that you became a ballerina at the Bolshoi Theater of Russia. Can you say that your childhood dream has come true? What does working on the country’s main stage mean to you?
— Yes, you could say my dream has come true, because I first danced on the Bolshoi Theater stage in 2018 at the anniversary evening of Svetlana Adyrkhaeva, a prima ballerina and teacher at the Bolshoi. At that time, I was still a student at the Vaganova Ballet Academy in St. Petersburg and, honestly, I never imagined I’d end up working here. But deep in my soul, I felt that I would return to this stage as a performer someday.
For me, working on the country’s main stage carries huge responsibility. Everyone expects not only a clean, successful performance, but also wants to see your growth—how you bring each role to life. I work with my teacher-repetiteur Olga Ivanovna Chenchikova.
The Bolshoi Theater is a place of tough competition, but that’s exactly what motivates me. It pushes me to learn from my colleagues. It is an enormous joy and privilege to stand on the same stage with legendary artists, to take class with the best teachers—stars of Russian ballet—and to take part in production rehearsals.
— Which roles have you already danced on the Bolshoi stage? Did any of them come with a special sense of excitement?
— I’ve danced various roles and variations, but the one I remember most vividly is my debut as Myrtha in the ballet Giselle. That was my first season at the theater, about two months after I started working there. The most remarkable part is that while I was still at the Vaganova Academy, before I began working at the theater, my teacher Lyudmila Valentinovna Kovalyova suggested I start rehearsing Myrtha so I could later show it to the director of the Mariinsky Theater. We worked on small sections of the role and broke them down. But in the end, I never got to present it back then. And when I found out I would dance Myrtha as a Bolshoi artist, I was overjoyed and extremely grateful.
— Do you have your own following or fan base? Have you met them?
— Yes, of course! Even back when I was studying at the Academy, a large number of audience members were following our progress. We came to Moscow many times with graduation and other performances, dancing on the stage of the Kremlin Palace. Later, those same audience members began attending performances at the Bolshoi. After a show, they wait at the stage door, bring thoughtful, memorable gifts, and ask for autographs.
— I first heard of you when you were a little “star” in Ufa, someone with great promise. Tell us about how your path into the world of professional art began.
— Since I was born into a family of musicians, I started my journey with music as well. First, I played the violin a little, then the piano. But I was a restless child; I couldn’t sit at the piano for more than 20 minutes and would constantly run off. If I was studying piano with my mom at music school, I’d dash out of the classroom and wander the halls. At home, I couldn’t run off anywhere, so I’d practice in tears. After some time, my mother enrolled me in the Bravo Dance Theater. At first, it frightened me a bit because it was something totally new. But when I saw how the older girls did their exercises in pointe shoes, I was mesmerized. And one day, during another piano lesson at music school, I slammed the piano lid shut and firmly told my mother: “I’m going to be a ballerina. That’s it!” That’s how I began discovering the beautiful world of ballet.
I’ve had many fateful encounters in my life, one of them with Maestro Vladimir Spivakov. First I performed at his concert, and later the Spivakov Foundation invited me to perform in Moscow at the festival’s opening. That ultimately decided my move to St. Petersburg. Over time, the Spivakov Foundation continued to support us through difficult times during my studies.
— Who was your first ballet teacher in Ufa?
— My first teacher was Svetlana Anvarovna Kharisova, an Honored Arts Worker of the Republic of Bashkortostan, at the Bravo Children’s Dance Theater. She graduated from the Leningrad Choreographic School (now the Vaganova Academy). Together with Svetlana Anvarovna, we traveled to many competitions and always won prizes. She was the one who guided my future. At one competition, she took my mother to the jury members and said: “Please explain to this mother that her daughter needs to attend a choreographic school,” because my mother had doubts. Svetlana Anvarovna prepared me for admission to the Vaganova Academy. I’m very grateful to her and her husband, who was also my mentor, Ravis Mudarisovich.
— Was it difficult for a girl from Ufa to adapt to the rigorous routine of this institution, which has such a long history and its own traditions?
— I first visited the Academy as a child. I came to St. Petersburg for a children’s competition, and Svetlana Anvarovna introduced me to her own teacher, Irina Trofimova. Irina Alexandrovna was one of the students of Agrippina Yakovlevna Vaganova herself (such is the continuity of tradition). She looked at me and said: “Yes, she needs to apply as soon as she turns 10.”
When I entered the legendary Academy, I immediately decided I had to study there, no matter what. Of course, at first, it was hard. It involved moving to a different city (at first I lived in the dorm), and then my mother and I rented an apartment. But on the other hand, in my very first year, I became a participant in the first “Sinyaya Ptitsa” (“Blue Bird”) television competition. Then I danced the role of little Masha in Vainonen’s The Nutcracker; there were tours to Japan; and at the same time, the Mariinsky Theater had its own repertoire where Academy students also performed. On weekends and holidays, we practically lived at the theater. But that kind of early stage experience showed us what we were going into this profession for, and that the stage is our life.
I was fortunate to study at the Academy with the best teachers: Lyudmila Ivanovna Komolova, Elena Georgievna Zabalkanskaya, and I graduated under Professor Lyudmila Valentinovna Kovalyova—an Honored Arts Worker of Russia. I also consider the Academy’s rector, Nikolai Maksimovich Tsiskaridze, to be one of my teachers, since all our rehearsal work on performances took place under his supervision. Each of these individuals invested their heart, skill, experience, and professionalism in their students.
— One of your greatest supporters is your mother, Gulnaz Valiullina, known in the arts community as a wonderful pianist, accompanist, and teacher. Could you have achieved such success without her all-around support?
— It’s precisely thanks to my mother that I’ve been able to accomplish what I have today. She’s always by my side, supporting me. For a child to succeed in anything, it’s not just about physical capability but also about motivation and a drive for success. None of that can happen without the backing of loved ones, which my mother has always given me. Leaving behind a good job and a settled life in Ufa, she moved to St. Petersburg so I could study, making sure I had everything I needed.
I also want to say a special “thank you” to my nanny, Flyura Badgetdinovna. She wasn’t a musician, but it was from her that I inherited my love of dance and ballet. When she was young, she dreamed of becoming a ballerina, but in the difficult post-war years, it wasn’t possible for someone from a village to study ballet. Still, she performed folk dances as part of amateur groups. Later, working as a nanny, she took her main charge to the Bravo Dance Theater—taking me along too, since my mom was busy with concerts or competitions and had a very demanding schedule. So together we would watch the older girls who danced various repertoire. When I was five, someone noticed me and invited me to try. I ended up being one of the youngest in the group.
— I know there are some prominent cultural figures of Bashkortostan in your family tree. Tell us a bit about your lineage.
— I come from a family of musicians. My mother, Gulnaz Faritovna, is a pianist; my aunt, Liliya Gabidullina, is a violinist (she worked for a long time in the Miràs Ensemble orchestra and now teaches at children’s music schools No. 11 and No. 1 named after Sabitov). My maternal grandfather (whom I never met; he passed away very young) was a self-taught accordion player. From what the family says, he was amazing—no celebration took place without him. On my mother’s side, there is also a singer, Honored Artist of the Republic of Bashkortostan Insaf Galimov.
On my mother’s side, our relatives include well-known poets: People’s Poet of Bashkortostan Ravil Shammas, and his son, poet, journalist, translator, and professor at the Department of Journalism at Ufa University of Science and Technology, Almas Shammasov. Our lineage also goes back to the noted Bashkir poet and journalist, Honored Arts Worker of the Bashkir ASSR, Yakub Kulmyi.
My father, Nikolai Ivanovich, is a famous and talented musician and teacher, an Honored Worker of Culture of Bashkortostan and Russia. In St. Petersburg, my mother worked at the S. S. Prokofiev School of Arts and at the M. P. Mussorgsky College, and also collaborated with such legendary singers as Larisa Gogolevskaya (Honored Artist of Russia and soloist at the Mariinsky Theater) and Valeria Sten’kina (Honored Artist of Russia). Now my mother has moved with me to Moscow, where she still manages to give concerts and perform with her soloists and students.
— Can one say that a ballerina’s destiny is a path of self-denial, perhaps even sacrifice in the name of art? What is the most difficult part of your profession?
— Every ballet artist’s path is different. Some truly choose a road of renunciation or sacrifice for the art, and there are many examples of this in the history of world ballet. Personally, I lean toward the idea that balance is necessary in everything. There are powerful stereotypes surrounding ballet. Yes, it is a profession that’s challenging both physically and mentally, but it’s balanced by the beauty of the performances, the applause, and the audience’s appreciation. Of course, we are all human, and there are times when you feel like giving up, but it’s crucial to show character and perseverance, not letting go of the faith and love you have for your art.
— What would you advise to the little dancers just taking their first steps on stage? What would you warn them about?
— I would advise them always to remain true to themselves. Listen to your own inner voice. Show your personality, your character, your individuality. And of course, never give up, even when it feels very hard.
— How often do you visit your hometown, and do you have favorite spots in Ufa?
— Unfortunately, I don’t get to come back as often as I’d like. I used to visit both in summer and winter; now it’s difficult to find time even in summer.
My favorite place in Ufa is the area where we used to live: around the Friendship Monument and the embankment of the Belaya River. So when I do come to Ufa, I always try to take a walk in those familiar places.
— What does Sofya Valiullina dream about?
— I want to be an in-demand ballerina. I want to bring people admiration, joy, and pleasant emotions after each performance, so they can forget all their worries for a while and simply immerse themselves in the art of ballet.

Life update
Posted on DW, but I figured I could update this blog as well now that I'm semi-getting back into social media...
I've sorta fallen off from the fandom and social media space, because life has been a lot these past few years. To sum up briefly:
- I made a couple of posts about it last year, but I bought an apartment in a new building (construction wasn't finished at the time). Running left and right to choose stuff such as flooring etc, getting things organized on the paperwork side (banks, notaries...), plus the move itself, took me a lot of time and energy. I've been living here full time for 10 months now though, and it's been great. Love the building (even tho it's not entirely finished orz), love the neighbourhood, and it's so great to have your own place. Missy seems at ease here, too, which is important. The balconies' guardrails are huge glass panes that go all the way to the floor with no gap, so that means I can let her out without supervision without fear of her falling/jumping off.
- Work, the main culprit for my withdrawal from fandom. I think I mentioned before that I took on more admin tasks a couple years ago, and while I enjoy the actual work when I get to it, it's a huge huge drain to my mental energy, esp when combined with everything else (class prep, exams, meetings etc). So it's pretty much killed my drive, and my already bad work-life balance just became worse and worse. Like, it's not that I don't have free time (perks of teaching = lots of holidays), but when I do I'm so mentally exhausted that I was pretty much only able to play mindless games like Solitaire or Civilization VI (which became like an addiction lol) or doomscroll on twitter or reddit. I pretty much lost my ability to engage with hobbies, except for the ones below, and I'm trying really really hard to come back and make it stick this time around.
- Speaking of hobbies though, I've gotten really into classical music and started attending concerts regularly. By perfect coincidence, my new place is at a 2-minute walk from my city's philharmonic hall, and I've been enjoying the heck out of that perk. My city's orchestra is really good, and their program so varied. When it was time to choose my subscription for next season, it was harder to choose which concerts not to attend (but a choice had to be made ;v;). Also I'm super stoked because they're playing my favorite symphony next year, I didn't expect to be able to hear it live so soon!
I think this really saved my mental health this year. Like, it's a bit hard to explain, but there's something really unique and relaxing about the atmosphere there. It's a bit intimidating at first, and I was really self-conscious about not making noise at the beginning, but I've gotten used to it now. Mostly, I think it helped me rediscover what it is to just sit down and enjoy the moment, without constantly looking for stimulation to my already overstimulated mind (silly aside, but before that I'd sorta lost the ability to binge a series without mindlessly checking my phone in the middle of episodes. Being "forced" to keep my phone away for the duration of a concert has really helped me recover my attention span). I think it helps my mind rest, if that makes sense? Also there's nothing comparable to listening to the music live in a hall with great acoustics x3
I followed the Queen Elisabeth Competition closely this year, live for a few finals performances when possible, the rest on TV, and it was really awesome. I think in four years I'll get the subscription for the whole finals week :p
- Relatedly, I've also started taking violin lessons. I'd always wanted to learn an instrument since I was a child (loved those mandatory recorder classes we had at school lol), but it never happened (partly because I was too passive as a child to actively ask for it, partly because my parents probably didn't want to have their eardrums massacred, so didn't offer it (wouldn't have said no if I'd asked, but as I said I wasn't good at asking back then)). It took me a while to actually make the jump, because I thought I'm too old now and there's no point, but I finally did with some encouragements from friends and colleagues and I'm really glad I did. Violin is... hard lol. I sound absolutely terrible. But it's also really fun? Like I feel like I'll never be good, but also I've made so much progress since I started. I don't have much time to practice (I aim at at least 10min a day these days, which isn't a lot, but it's better than nothing and it's more important to do it a little regularly than a lot once in a while). I'm really looking forward to the day I'll be able to attempt to play Xillia songs 😄 Also I really love my teacher<3
- Lastly, niece is 3 now and so fun to interact with. It's not always easy, she's very stubborn and willful, but she's also really sweet and funny. Love her ❤️ And she's just got a little sister! who's a very chill newborn, so different from niece#1 lol. I can't wait to see them play together when they're a little bit older.
Anyway, that's pretty much the main things that have been going on the past couple of years. Like I said I'm not sure I can be totally back, I think it's gonna take a lot of adjustment, but this time I really don't want to let another year pass by like that. I'm really gonna try hard to have better balance this time!

HOW TO GET A+
★ new series ★ p1
Tumblr media
ello :)
let's get straight to the point, we all hate those intros of twenty pages. Note that what works for me and others may not work for you, and by those advices I am simply helping you, not obliging you to do them. 🫶🏻
why would we accept an 80% when we can get an 90% working hard is tough and boring but it pays off 🫶🏻
1- KNOW WHAT YOU ARE STUDYING
Many people walk in class not knowing what it is about. But that's completely understandable, since many forget or neglect studying at home. You should know what your last lesson was about, and have a sum up and notes aside to remember.
★ Write down on the book, paper, sticky note what you studied in that class, so next time you wouldn't have to go through multiple pages and know exactly the key points.
2- LOVE WHAT YOU ARE STUDYING
I see you scoffing there, but it's actually proved that loving the subject makes studying it easier. I know some subjects are difficult and boring and it's impossible to love it; that's all right. It's not an obligation, nor a rule.
But!!!
You need to love the subject to succeed in it. Dive in it, link it with things that interest you.
3- OTHERS OTHERS OTHERS
Don't bring yourself down by comparing to other people. You might be better than them in a specific subject that they are probably struggling in it. Which is extremely common. Instead, say that what others are capable of learning and understanding, you are capable of as well. Positive comparison that brings the best in you and pushes you to do best.
★Mutual help, helping them and letting them help you will make a huge difference; you can gain a friend and be better in a subject :)
Tumblr media
4- MR. X IS THE WORST
About Teachers\ Professors, they were a student too. Hating them wouldn't make any difference. Instead, try to know your teacher.
TEACHER'S PET IS A BIG NO COME ON >:(
This person will guide you for at least a year. You need to know them, and I don't mean by this pull a Sherlock Holmes on them.
★Look at what your teachers love, hate, their charachter, their beliefs. This usually helps in knowing what they'll aim in in an exam, what they'll expect from you in class, how often they'll ask you questions, etc...
★Knowing the minimum about them will prevent you from giving a bad impression.
(Eg) If you know that your teacher's dead husband name is Jo, don't use the name Jo ever in your essays. EVER. (there is some exceptions where they hate their partner so they probably wouldn't mind)
(This is me being silly but still names in essays\essays in general are extremely important, they'll show how dedicated or how seriously you are taking the subject)
★Being polite will give a good impression ★If they like a specific thing, don't try to hate or argue about it. Let them be.
★They are humans, be nice to those people for the love of god.
5- MY PHONE WHERE IS MY PHONE
You are addicted don't deny that. I got you.
*Stay Free* is an application that can help you use your phone less. It's super easy and helpful.
★Put your phone in don't disturb mode or simply turn off the notifications till you finish studying.
★Keep it out of reach and don't use it between breaks.
Tumblr media
6- NOTES
Teachers won't put everything on the board, you need to take notes in class. It's up to you how to, just make it clear and pretty.
★Scribble down and when you are home review the whole lesson and your notes and rewrite them neetly.
7- ORGANIZE YOUR SPACE
An organized desk will make you less stressed, limit the distractions, help you focus.
★ Keep the stuff you need close to not lose attention.
8- LA MUSIQUE MON AMOUR
Everyone is different, if you can focus while listening to Metal, you're a hero and I admire you.
Calm music helps in reliving the stress and with the flow of informations.
★Music with lyrics can be distracting sometimes, I'd personally advise listening to Lofi, Jazz, nature noises (becah waves, rain, violin with rain, thunder, birds..)
There are plenty of episodes on Spotify\Youtube to help you focus.
9- WHY IT IS 4 AM?!
Waking up early is better when it comes to studying. You can focues better, less noise, less distractions.
Tumblr media
10- ONE HOUR OH MY GOD
To get better grades, you'll need to study, lots. But studying smartly will take a few moments. And including it in your daily habits will give better effects.
★keep a reminder for the same time everyday, reread your notes\ flashcards
★If you can't stay focused for an hour straight, divide the study session to x minutes in the morning and x minutes in the evening\night.
★Keep a list\planner\ app to track your daily tasks and to not forget them.
11- LIBRARY OHHH
Studying in the library is superior, no further explanation.
12- GOALS
You can't study if you don't have a goal. What motives you to get up everyday and study for hours? This goal is important, it'll push you into studying when you're unmotivated. Achieving it is what you work for, so keep it up.
★if you're lost, don't have a goal..
think of small stuff. Picture your dream life, write it down and stick it to your wall
13- LOTS OF BOOKS MWAHA
books, lots of books, everywhere.
Tumblr media
MUSTS:
The best apps I use for organizing:
Forest: helps you focus for x minutes
Notein: notes\reminders\to do list
School Planner: The best one out there, litterly the best
Flashcards: makes easy flashcards and quizzes
Dictionary for every language you are studying
Google translate: Not very accurate but you can download the languages and then translate offline
Text Snap: makes from the notes a pdf\ written text a scanned text taht i can edit on my phone
Notion: No clue how it works but still lots of stuff to use
Tumblr media
(credits to owners of pics)
hope those help i have no clue what i wrote

meow meow give me the clara lore dump
Clara Morgenstern is the only child of Giana Morgenstern, a former classical violinist, and Edward Morgenstern, a composer. Formerly the housewarden of a dorm from Crowned Jewel Academy, she is now a second-year student at Night Raven College, participating in a student exchange program alongside 6 other students.
Clara’s mother, Giana, holds her to extremely high standards. Given that her whole family seems to be involved in music, it was only expected that she would have to learn at least one instrument as a child. Originally, she started learning violin, like her mother, but she eventually began taking piano lessons to become closer to her father. Her piano teacher recommended her to take voice lessons as well, so she eventually began learning to sing as well.
Currently, she’s somewhat of a celebrity. Due to her family’s prominence in the music world, she became well known after she began to perform her father’s compositions. However, her music isn’t the only reason she’s famous. Clara also models, and is beginning to look into acting. She’s very popular with younger women, especially for her very long hair.
Clara doesn’t mind playing the more classical tracks, but she wants to perform music with more energy and that would appeal to a wider audience. After she began attending Crowned Jewel Academy, she joined their music club, which happened to be known as the “School Idol Club”. This is where she learned about idols, and it became her dream to become an idol and perform for her audience that way. Her mother disapproves of this, of course, so she has to work towards this in secret.
When she gets to NRC, she is assigned to Pomefiore. She finds this fitting, and she knows the housewarden, Vil, from her modeling work in the past. She also joins the Pop Music Club, where she meets Cater, Lilia, and Kalim. She becomes very close to them easily. Additionally, she becomes the school nurse’s, Bo, assistant.
Her Unique Magic known her as “Gleam and Glow”, which allows her to heal others’ injuries up to a broken bone by humming a lullaby she heard as a child.
She is shipped with three different characters, Riddle, Silver, and Kalim.
Riddle and Clara occurred as a result of them bonding after his overblot, where she cared for him in the nurse’s office. They bonded over their mothers, their work trying to be the best in their classes, and other elements. In the case that she is shipped with all three boys, her confession to him happened last, where she confesses to him at the idol concert that the Pop Music Club, Ortho, and Vil helped set up for her, through the song Melt. He accepts.
Silver and Clara isn’t as thought out, though they likely bonded during classes. Clara likely confessed when they were studying together, or spending time relaxing outside.
Kalim and Clara occurred due to them bonding from the Pop Music Club. They’re easily the closest in the club. Kalim was the one to confess in this ship, and in the case all of the ships occur, this happened first.
Clara does overblot. No matter what ship happens, her story does have her doing her idol concert, which gets leaked on the internet. Her mother finds out, they fight, and Clara is told she has to discontinue the idol concert and activities, or be pulled out of NRC. After this fight, she is on edge, worried that any wrong move would mean she would have to be pulled out and she would have to leave everyone she cares about.
Her overblot theme is Gentle Madman (https://youtu.be/7JNGcfrx3U0?feature=shared )
During her overblot, she heals herself every turn. Though it’s not the worst fight. Element wise, I feel like she would be flora-cosmic.
Some fun facts
I’ve made a playlist for her idol concert! https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLbMNDaLO9l1FMJnfbqt08cFtNLnkcoV2o&feature=shared
Her voice claim for JP is Akiyama Mizuki (Hinata Sato)
I have a second playlist of possible songs to be included with her idol stuff https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLbMNDaLO9l1FErCKTlZbmQ0D5TmljtpYK&feature=shared
She was originally inspired by Rapunzel!
She uses Light cosmic magic
The full ship between her, Kalim, Riddle, and Silver is called Lightrose
