"Still haven't gotten your dick wet, huh?" was Tommy's way of greeting his brother.
Joel grumbled something, propping his foot on the coffee table in front of him. "Get lost, Tommy."
He'd thought that with his daughter, Sarah, at summer camp he'd get six weeks of peace, get work done, maybe take his daughter somewhere nice when she got back. But he forgot he had a brother and he forgot how annoying he was.
Sure, six weeks without his kid was a perfect and maybe a once-in-a-lifetime to get his dick 'wet' as Tommy put it. But he'd been out the game for years, out of practise. He wouldn't know how or who to approach.
"C'mon, what kind of brother would I be if I let you mope around alone in the house," he said, whacking Joel on the shoulder.
"A good one." Joel took a swing of his beer, watching the sport without knowing what team was doing what.
Tommy turned off the tv and snatched away Joel's beer, getting him up from the sofa. "There's a bar I know where everyone looking to get fucked goes, c'mon."
Joel decided he didn't want to know how his brother knew this place but as Tommy was already grabbing his truck keys and heading out the door. He'd be damned if he let Tommy drive his truck.
Yeah... that was why he was going...
︵‿︵‿୨♡୧‿︵‿︵︵‿︵‿୨♡୧‿︵‿︵
The bar was already loud when he and Tommy got there and ordered their beers. Joel would have one, maybe another if he was here long enough but then he'd go home and... see to himself if he had to.
It would have been nice to have something for the evening. It had been a long time and his own fist wasn't enough. He had a pick if he needed, he guessed. He wasn't immune to all the single middle aged mom's around him that would talk to him on the school drop off, invite him to one of their garden parties. Even some with rings on their fingers always lingered too long when shaking his hand or asking for some 'construction' advice.
But none of them did anything for him.
Tommy patted his brother on the back as he winked at the lady behind the bar. "See anything you like, yet?"
They'd been there... what? Ten minutes.
Then yes, he saw something he liked and his jaw almost dropped.
Tommy spotted the way he stilled and followed his gaze. "Holy shit."
You were with three girls- your friends, Joel assumed- and a guy hanging onto you, an arm draped around your hips. You were nursing a drink, laughing with your friends, tongue darting out to the straw of your cocktail.
Joel was done. He knew it immediately.
You were only twenty-one, young and beautiful and worse, Sarah's baby-sitter. Sure, his daughter was fourteen but on the late nights he had to work he didn't like to leave her alone.
Enter you. Good grades, polite, always called him Mr Miller like it wasn't the hottest thing. You stayed every night Joel needed to work, you cooked for Sarah, even ensured there was left overs for Joel and Tommy sometimes.
You'd tidy when he never asked, you never drank the beers he left for you. You were perfect.
And Joel knew, the first day you'd baby-sat his daughter over a year ago he'd made a mistake. He knew it when he watched you walk down his porch, when he started offering you lifts home and wishing you'd accept, when he had a wet dream like a horny teenager and it was you under him.
This was some cruel joke.
As if you could hear his thoughts your eyes caught over the noise of the bar. There was shock registering first and then you were dismissing your group to walk over to the Millers.
Joel gulped when he spotted what you were wearing. A tight high collared shirt, your hair pinned and the shortest skirt with heels.
Like a present to be un-wrapped...
"If it isn't the Miller brothers," you grinned.
"Hey darlin'," Tommy greeted first, reaching up to give you a small hug.
Joel's jaw clenched as you hugged him back. But Tommy was respectful, hands staying high on your body. Better than Joel would do.
You pulled away and smiled at Joel. "Mr Miller."
He nodded, taking a swig of his beer as he watched your tongue dart out in search for the straw. Fuck.
Tommy held a hand on your back. "I gotta take a leak, keep him company would you."
Joel didn't know what kind of game his little brother was playing.
"Of course," you smiled, sliding into the seat Tommy had vacated. "Don't I strive to look after the Millers."
Tommy chuckled and winked at Joel as he disappeared into the crowd.
"Hi there," he drawled.
You smiled. Maybe it was the lighting, or the alcohol, but your eyes were darker than he'd ever noticed. "Hey. Didn't expect to see you here tonight."
"Sarah's at camp," he said. He was painfully aware you knew. You hadn't been around in two weeks because he'd had no reason to ask you. Well, no appropriate reason.
"She enjoying it?" you threw a leg over yours, grazing his leg as you did.
"Think so," he said, "what about you, huh? Enjoyin' your freedom?"
You chuckle. "You know I love working for you, Mr Miller."
"Joel," he corrected you. He took a swing of his beer, watching you watch him.
"Jo-el," you draw out his name.
Something in Joel stirred, his pants couldn't be growing tighter, right? Thank god for the dim lighting.
He cleared his throat. "So this is where the kids hang out these days, huh?"
"I dunno about kids?" you said, leaning your body over slightly. "Am I a kid?"
Joel let his eyes wander down. The expanse of your legs, the skirt riding up your thighs and the way your chest rose and fell with your breath. Then slowly, he trailed back up your body. "I guess not."
Of all those times he'd watched you from the porch, you'd always looked back at him at least once, maybe twice to give a little wave as he leaned on the door. Or when you'd started accepting his lifts home and would always linger in his seat when he turned the engine off, the two of you leaning over the console and chattering a bit longer. Or when it came to staying to watch a game with him when Sarah had gone to bed when he knew you hated sport.
Of all those times he'd never let his mind wander as much as it was not.
"Tommy dragged me out," said Joel, taking more of his beer.
"He dragged you?" you chuckled. "You didn't want to come?"
"I'm glad I did," he said.
You take a longer sip of your drink, nodding. "I'm glad you did too."
Joel watched you a second as you tilted your head, a small tilt to your head. "You wanna another drink?" he asked. He wasn't even sure how much you'd had already. Was all this new look and attitude the cocktails talking?
"I should be good," you muse.
Joel decided in that moment he'd either spend the rest of the night in your company, or go home alone. "Your friends not missing you?" he didn't even want to look back at your friends maybe waiting for you. Or that guy watching you.
You also didn't care to look back. "Let them."
Joel smirked as he brought his bottle to his lips. "Atta girl."
He heard your intake of breath and felt satisfied. Your leg kicked off your other one and had grazed his, going down and down and he was sure you weren't doing this on accident. Not anymore.
"You can't say things like that," you chuckle, shuffling in your seat.
God, your thighs were pressing together tightly. Such a pretty sight...
You leaned over in your seat. "Do you know how many women would kill to hear you say that to them?"
"Well, i'm saying it to you, ain't I?"
You look at him through your lashes and Joel's legs widen to accommodate for the rising need in his crotch. It was wrong. It was so wrong. It was crossing a line. "I think I'll take that drink, if you're still offering?"
Joel nods and waved someone over to get you the same. The two of you talked a little more as you waited, your drink sliding over moments later.
"It must get lonely," you said, fingers dancing around the condensation of the glass. "That house all alone."
It seemed both of you had forgot about Tommy at that point.
The game being played between the two of you suddenly seemed real to Joel. "You tryin' to get an invite over?"
"Maybe."
You didn't miss a beat.
Joel looked at you. People were piling into the bar, music was being played but all he could focus on was you.
Your hand darted out, your fingers grazing his knee.
He looked down at his knee, where you touched him. Could you make out the dent in his jeans. "You know, i'm old enough to be your father."
"So should I start calling you daddy?"
He chocked on his beer. He managed to finish it, smirking to himself. "You got a mouth on you."
"You started it looking at me like that."
Joel rested against the bar. "I'm your employer."
You shrug. "And i'm not at work."
Joel looked around the bar and found his brother making out with a woman at the furthest end. He was sorted. "Why do you hang out here, huh kid?" if what Tommy told him was true he wasn't sure he could handle the idea of you coming here, looking out for someone that wasn't him.
You shrug. "It's a good bar, good drinks, good company usually."
"Usually?" he teased, his hands on his thighs. "You know, Tommy told me some filthy things around this place."
You lick your lips, holding back amusement. "Really?" you stand to your feet, leaning on the bar closer to him. You slot perfectly between his thighs.
His hand danced close to your hip but didn't touch you. Not yet. "People come here for one thing."
"Enlighten me, Joel."
His name from your lips made his brain fuzzy, effecting him more than any beer. But he couldn't do it, god, he couldn't stop thinking about it. Of the counter. Of how good you'd look bent over the counter, tight skirt bunched up at your hips.
But the words failed with him.
It was like you could tell, like you knew every move of his and every twitch.
You take one more sip of your drink before sliding it over the counter.
Joel watched as you got to your feet and worry rose on him. Worry he'd lose all he wanted.
"I'm going around the back, i'm going to be there for two minutes before I call an uber to go home. See you."
You meant it to. He watched you walk off, only briefly waving to your friends as you wove in and out of the people.
You were giving him two minutes to fuck over his life.
︵‿︵‿୨♡୧‿︵‿︵︵‿︵‿୨♡୧‿︵‿︵
You waited, and waited for what you thought was two minutes. Truth be told you didn’t have a watch and lingering around the back of the bar probably wasn’t the greatest idea.
You could tap your foot and wait, rethinking your words and actions and hope that every time the door swung open, it would be your boss.
Joel fucking Miller. What game were you playing? More to the point, what was he doing?
Looking at you like that, carelessly letting his eyes wander as he imagined everything he wanted to do to you? You weren’t immune to his looks, his touches that lasted too long and the way he always watched you walk up to your front door, the engine only roaring once you were safe inside.
But now it seemed- faced with the ultimatum of fucking you or leaving you as nothing but his daughter’s babysitter- he was choosing the latter.
You’d really thought your lonely nights with only toys and fingers for company may have been rectified.
As you push yourself off the wall you really thought-
A sudden strong and rough hand grabbed your wrist and turned you back until you were against the wall and until lips were on yours.
You knew the scent, knew the strength of the body as Joel Miller pressed himself against you, groaning and licking into your lips.
You hands are in his hair, tugging at the curls of black and grey as you let him feel all your body, his arms caging you in and hand dragging down and down and-
"That was three minutes, sweet girl," Joel’s beard scratched your neck as he dragged his lips over your pulse.
You hold back a moan. The music in the bar was loud and the only people coming this way were the ones looking for a quick piss. Still you wanted nobody to stop this. "Wanted to give you a chance."
He nodded into your neck, biting the skin and winning a gasp from you. Joel tilted his head back, searching your gaze that only saw him. "Tell me you want this."
You nod. "I want it."
His hand cupped your cheek, thumb dragging down your bottom lip. He watched, entranced. "You’d let me down anything, wouldn’t you?" He whispered, looking as if he wasn’t all there. That some part of his mind was already fucking you against the wall.
You lower your head until you can reach the pad of his thumb, kissing the tip. "I want it."
"Oh, fuck baby," he groaned, pushing the pad of his thumb further into your mouth. Promises of things to come. "You’re gonna kill me sweet girl."
Your hand ran down his stomach until it meant the tightness of his pants and running up and down until you could feel the press of his length in your palm.
Joel indulged for a minute. His thumb in the warmth of his mouth while your other hand rubbed him right. Then he snapped back into reality as the door banged on the wall.
Not there.
Against himself, he took his thumb from you and grabbed your wrist, alerting you.
"I need your word that if we do this, Sarah doesn’t find out," he said sternly.
You chuckled. "Well I’m hardly gonna tell her I screwed her dad, am I?"
"Hey," he held one finger in front of your face, defying your smirk. "Your word, little miss, or I can drop you off home and you can watch while I take care of the problem you created."
You gulped. Maybe for a moment you forgot it was Mr Miller you were affronted with. Quickly, you nodded your head.
"Good girl," he surged forward and sucked on the bottom of your lip, his hips digging into yours. He groaned as you ground on him, nails digging into his biceps. "Feel wha’ you do to me, huh? You know how many times I’ve had to fuck my own fist and think of you?"
You practically melt at his words, leaning back into the wall. "Joel… please."
"Please what? Huh?" he taunted, rutting his clothed hips into your own, biting down on his lip as you threw your head back, moaning at the sensation. "C'mon, tell me what you want. Be a good girl and say it."
"I want you to fuck me," you whispered.
Joel scoffed. He left his hips against yours. He tutted. "I'm an old man, darlin', you're gonna have to speak up."
"Fuck me!" you all but screamed, desperation turning you into a mess.
Joel grabbed your hand and started to drag you from the alleyway, searching around as if his daughter might pop up out of nowhere.
You couldn't care less, didn't think about the group of friends you were leaving, or the guy that wanted you. Your hand circled over Joel's stomached t shirt, nails scratching as you leant into his side, lips marking up his neck.
"Fuck, baby," Joel groaned as he searched in his pocket for his keys. You joined the search, your fingers searching all around the dent in his jeans. "Fucking desperate, aren't you, huh?"
"Can't wait, Joel," you whisper in his ear, lips brushing, shivers running down his spine as you squeezed his crotch. "Please baby."
Joel grunted. He was practically shaking with the need to fuck you, to feel you against him. To have his hands wander all over you and memorise the way you moaned under him. There was so much more he wanted. Wanted to have you scream, wanted your neck bruised with his love and his back to carry the scratches from you.
He just needed.
"Fuck," he couldn't believe he was being so reckless. Couldn't believe that with a kiss and a grope you had rendered him a horny teenager. "Get in the back, babygirl."
He held open the door and practically pushed you in, climbing over you.
You jumped into his lap as soon as the door slammed shut and Joel chucked his keys somewhere to the front. Your lips worked against his, claiming it as yours and invading an unknown territory. You moaned as his tongue ran against yours and sucked it into his own mouth.
His hands were warm and large as they gripped your ass harshly, a soft slap echoing around his truck.
"You gonna let me slide my fingers into your pussy, baby?" he asked against your lips.
You moaned.
"Hey!" he grabbed your chin, pulling you back to stare at him. Your lips were already red and swollen. "You gotta talk to me baby. You want my fingers? Say yes."
"Yes please," you say, catching your breath. Your chest felt heavy, your pussy throbbing. "Please, want your fingers."
Joel smirked, finger tips brushing under the band of your skirt. "So polite."
The space at the back of his truck was small and cramped but he'd be lying if he hadn't thought about this. Hadn't thought about you in the back of his truck, cock stuffed down your throat or his face buried in your thighs.
All those times he'd taken you back, it had never been as innocent as he would let on.
But having you in his lap, begging for it, practically drooling with just his words, he had a feeling you weren't as innocent as you'd always made out to be.
Joel let the elastic of your skirt slap into place, causing you to jolt into him. As you jolted, he used the leverage of your hips to pull your skirt up and feel under you. "Jesus baby- you're soaked."
His finger slid up the cloth of your panties, collecting the dampness and smearing it.
You gasp as he presses into your pussy, pushing the cloth into you. "Joel please, I asked so nice."
"You did, sweet girl, you did," he nodded, watching as your eyes squeezed shut. "Hey- eyes on me baby, right here." He gently slapped the under part of your chin to get you to look at him as he easily hooked your panties to the side and sunk a finger in.
You hum out a moan, head tilted back.
Joel found the crevice of your neck, dragging his beard against the soft skin and relishing in the red that bloomed. "You like it? You like my fingers inside your heat? God, you're so warm."
"Like it," you nod, eyes shutting again.
Joel groaned low in his throat as he grabbed your chin and forced your forehead against his. "You keep your eyes on me, you understand me. Or i'll drop you off home. Do you understand?"
"Yes, Mr Miller."
"Oh-" Joel sunk his ring finger in until he was knuckle deep. "You're so good for me."
You tighten around the feel of his fingers. He's barely curling them and already you're squirming at the sound of your own slick.
"Ride my fingers, babygirl, gowan' now."
Obediently you started to move, riding his hand. His rough palm moved with you. His mouth remained open in a small 'o' as you wither against him, moaning.
Joel couldn't help the filth that spilled from his mouth. But with every clench you gave around his fingers, you didn't seem to mind.
"So good for me... such a good girl,"
"Dirty too, riding me in the back of the truck you and Sarah ride in."
"Fuck, i've dreamt of this, you look so good with my fingers stuffed inside of you."
At his encouragement you grip his shoulders, moving faster until your skirt is ridging up your hips and the little wisps of your hair are sticking to your forehead from sweat.
His thumb pressed down on your puffy and begging clit.
"Shit- ah- fuck!"
Joel's hips involuntarily bucked up to yours. "You wanna cum, sweet girl?"
You bite down on your lip, nodding and looking at where his forearm- taunt and veiny- disappeared under you.
Joel rested his head next to yours, kissing the sweat at your neck. "Tough baby, you're so dirty. Dirty girls have to do a lot of waiting till they get their reward."
Slowly, he retracts his fingers.
"Look at all this mess," he tutted, looking at how his fingers glistened with your need. He pats your hips, "up."
You fall onto the seat next to him, legs spread and head resting back on the car door.
You watch as Joel lifts his hips, un-buckling his belt as he starts to pull off his boxers and jeans. Your foot danced over to his lap but he impatiently pushes it away.
"You want to cum, don't you?" he asked, sending you a dark look. His hand grabs your ankle as you nod and kisses the bare skin above your heel. "Then behave."
The hand that you had just been riding wrapped around his cock and brought it out.
Your mouth opened as you stared at the beauty of the thing. He was big, bigger than you'd seen and bigger than you'd dare dreamed. He shone with pre-cum and your arousal as he spread what was on his fingers. His hand worked himself up and down as he relaxed back in his seat.
He looked over at you. "Eyes up here, baby."
Your gaze flicked up to him. "So pretty, Joel."
He chuckled and tugged himself. "Always knew you'd like it. God, you've no idea the things i've dreamt."
"Tell me. Please."
Joel leaned his head back, moving up and down his length slowly as he re-called every filthy dream his mind conjured. "Your hands wrapping around me. Your mouth being so warm and wet as you fuckin' choke on it. God, bet your throat's not used to a man's cock, huh? Only used to boys, ain't that right?"
He opened his eyes, peeking at you.
You'd dared closer to him, leaning over. You nodded.
"Bet that kid in there was hoping you'd give him a chance," he went on, his other hand coming up and thumb and forefinger tugging at your chin. "He didn't stand a chance as soon as you saw me, did he?"
You shake your head, shuffling closer into his side.
He jerked your head toward him. "Answer me."
"Only want you, Joel," you tell him.
You lick your lips, eyes darting from him to his leaking cock. The tip was red, begging for attention. "Can I- Can I please?"
Joel stroked back your hair. "Go on then, baby. Have a play." He stretched his arms along the back of the truck and watched to see you move.
But Joel quickly realised you didn't come around to play.
You'd always seemed so innocent- so un-knowing- when you looked after Sarah, when you helped him clean down the kitchen, when he'd offer you lifts back or to stay over you'd always blush and lower your head.
You were lowering it now, throwing your hair back over your shoulder and holding the base of him.
First, you touch him with your lips lightly and he smiles, daring not to think this might be the only time he lets you touch him like this. Your lips are so pretty and pink, swollen and wet from kissing him as you drag them along the sides.
Then you pepper kisses along the skin and start moving your hand around the base.
"You really gonna tease me?"
"Wanna take my time," you mumble into his though, kissing the skin.
Next, your hand cups his balls that were heavy with need. He wasn't exaggerating, it had been years since his last good fuck and no amount of jerking himself off to the thought of you could satisfy him. As your fingers played with his balls, rolling them around and giving them warmth and attention they craved, you made out with the tip of his cock.
You collected his pre-cum with your lips and tongue while still fondling him.
He could feel his shirt stick to him, his chest rising and falling quicker. Shittin-fuck. How was he supposed to last if this was what you were giving him?
"Easy, baby, easy," he eased you, stroking back your hair.
He knew you heard cause you were smirking then opening your mouth and taking him deep, almost all the way in one.
Joel groaned and grabbed the door. "Shit-ah-"
He didn't care if he wasn't far from the bar. Didn't care if anyone tried to get a look in through the fogging up windows. He didn't care if Tommy came by and applauded him for getting his dick wet. All he cared for was the feel of your wet mouth all the way down him, spit drooling down his cock.
You were doing so well and he wanted you to know.
"You wanna take me deep, huh?" he grunted, clutching onto your hair and holding you down. You gagged around him. He chuckled. "I'm not even all the way in there. You got room for more?"
You dragged your mouth up, taking a deep breath and nodding. You wiped your mouth from the mess you made and went in again.
This time, you took him again and again, deeper, bobbing him in your throat until he was a grunting and groaning mess. His hips moved of their own accord, shoving himself in even when there was nowhere else to go.
But the sounds of gagging, of his balls slapping against his own thighs as he moved, of the moans coming out of you were enough to almost having him finishing in your mouth. Almost.
He wanted to, boy did he, but he wouldn't, not until your cunt had swallowed him.
Joel pulled you up, letting you release him with a pop. "Want to be inside, need to be inside."
The truck wasn't the best place but it was the only place he had for you. He wished he could give you a bed, give your hours to welcome him, but Joel needed like he'd never needed. He imagined this is what starvation was, having your treat dangled in front of you.
And you were moving with him, lying down on the back seats, legs accommodating him as he slid in between you.
Joel gently pulled down your panties and stuffed them in the back of his pocket. If he was gonna have to jerk himself off to thoughts of you again, having your soaked panties was the least he deserved.
He glanced down at your swollen pussy and salivated.
Your hand trailed down, circling your clit as you moaned at the time he was taking.
Joel grabbed your wrist, bringing it up to his mouth and nipped at the skin. "Only I get to touch, yeah, babygirl?"
"Yes," you answered, breathless.
Joel loomed over you, bringing the tip of his leaking cock to smear himself over your folds. "Tommy told me somethin' real interestin'. Ask me what?"
"I don't- I don't care about Tommy, right now," you grab his shoulders, trying to pull him forward.
"He tol' me-" Joel strained, his lips brushing yours. It wasn't just your torture he wad delivering. It was his own. "He said people go to that bar to get fucked. Is that why you were there?"
For a moment you seemed shocked to hear it. Then the palm of your hand held his cheek, running over the stubble.
"Worked, didn't it?" you teased.
Joel sunk into you with ease. "Yeah."
He hid his face in your neck as you arched your back into him. 'Take it, take it,' he spoke into your skin, tattooing the words there.
"Joel-" you gasped, holding onto his back. "Fuck!"
"You're ok, baby. You're ok, babygirl," his breath was short. He needed to feel you more, the half way in wasn't enough. "Fuck, you grip me so well."
You gasp, holding him in you. "Need-need more."
"I dunno baby, you think you got it?" he teased.
"Yes, yes."
"What have I said about speaking up?"
You groan, throwing your head back on the seat. "Fuck me, please Joel!"
With a grunt loud enough to be heard outside, Joel sunk further into you. 'Shit, yeah.... fuck,' spilled from his lips as he slowly took himself out of you before sinking in all the way again.
"You feel me?" asked Joel. He held himself up over you because he'd be damned if he wasn't gonna watch you fall apart on his dick.
"Feel it, feel you everywhere," you mumble.
You really did. You felt the soft seats of his truck, smelt him everywhere. The smell of old cologne, cigarettes (though you were sure he didn't smoke) and new wood. It wasn't just his cock sinking into you but his voice as he mumbled filthy things in your ear. His hand dragged down your face, gripping your neck. Not tight enough to cut airways but tight enough to make you squeeze him.
He stuttered, "sh-shit. If you do that again I won't last," he told you. "And I want you to come first."
"Then fuck me Joel," you said, looking up at him.
Joel looked down to where he disappeared into you. You were already rocking your hips into his, desperate for something- anything. His hand pushed back some of your hair as he stared at you with something more than need. Desire. "Are you sure this is what you want?"
Wasn't it? Wasn't it everything you wanted since he first laid a hand on your shoulder and led you into his home, welcoming you to his life. "Yes."
His thumb dragged out your bottom lip before his lips were smashing onto yours, wet and sloppy as his thrusts increased.
He moved his hips in and out rapidly, giving you no more time to adjust. It wasn't long before he had to release your lips to breathe.
"Ah- shit!" you yelled.
"That's it baby, be as loud as you like. Let the whole fucking street know who's fucking you," he panted. His hands were at your neck, holding the both of you steady.
"Joel!"
"Shit! You feel so good!"
Joel tugged down your top, not in the mood to care if it rips. It's not like he was letting you back in that bar. He pulled out your tits and latched onto them like a child, nipping at the nipple.
Your hand winds itself in his hair, pulling at the roots and throwing your body into his. You could feel his cock stretch you, the pain mixing delightfully with the pleasure. With every thrust he tipped you closer and closer onto the ledge and as his warm, wet mouth sucked on your nipple, the other hand squeezing and playing with the other, you knew it would be the best orgasm of your life.
"I'm gonna, arg-"
Joel licked around your nipple. "Not yet."
"Joel!"
"Hold it!"
He pushed himself up, holding onto the back of the seats as he used the position to put a foot on the ground and fuck into you harder.
The windows were steamed, your bodies slick with sweat.
The truck was fucking shaking at how hard he was moving you.
You threw a hand out behind you to hold onto the door, bracing yourself as you rocked your body into his.
Joel threw his head back, his neck stretching you and tempting you. "Best fucking pussy out there. And I've been wasting you as a babysitter."
"Yours," you mumble. He hadn't even asked and you were giving him the promise.
His lips tilted into a lobsided smirk as he leaned closer to you. "You mine, huh? All mine? My girl, my pussy?"
"Yes," you nod.
For a minute you can only hear your breaths with the sound of his hips slapping into yours.
Joel's fingers dig into your thighs and bring your leg up to wrap around his waist. "Mine," he all but growled into your chest, nipping at the skin. "Show me. Show me you're mine. Cum."
He thrusted into you hard, his thumb holding your stomach down and playing with your clit until you were coming all over his cock. 'That's it baby... all over me.... there's a good girl.... keep coming,'
Joel fucked you throughout. He had his own finish to reach but watching you fall apart, your mouth open in a silent gasp as your fingers claw into his shoulders.
He cupped your chin, smiling down at you. "You gonna help an old man out?"
You were in no state to, coming down from your highest high.
Joel cupped your ass and lifted you from the seats that were slowly soaking in both of yours juices. "Ah-" he yelled out at the new angle he was reaching, his balls heavy hitting your pussy. "Yeah- there- just there baby."
"Joel!" you yell. "S'to much."
"No it's not," he shook his head. His eyes were screwed up as sweat rolled down his cheeks. "You can take it. You know you can."
Your pussy was throbbing, squeezing him so intensely you didn't know how he was still moving.
You bit down on your lip as you watched him concentrating hard. You test the waters, wrapping your legs around his waist until your entire lower body was in his weight.
"Fuck!" Joel's jaw clenched as he looked down at you, his fingertips digging into the skin of your soft thighs until he was sure bruises would be there for only him to see. "I'm gonna... shit- Where you want it?"
"Inside, please," you mewl.
Joel looked at you, danger in his eyes. "No, baby, we can't."
You nod and squeeze his hips. "I'm on the pill."
The words were heaven to his ears.
You squeeze around him and Joel yelled out, falling atop you as he spilled out inside of you.
"Take it! Take it! Fucking let me- let me in!" he yelled, hips stuttering as he fell into you. One of your legs remained around him but the other he let drop, holding it weakly.
You were sure you were still coming down from your high as his hips stuttered on yours. You could feel every drop of him smear on your pussy and leak out.
Then Joel's fingers danced around the space his cock was softening in you, pushing it all back in.
His brows rose as he looked down, a shaking laugh coming out. "I-"
You didn't want to hear the words that came after. The regret. The 'we shouldn't have' or 'think about Sarah'. You just wanted this moment of feeling held and cared for by Joel to last a little longer.
Your lips move against his slowly, tasting the salt of sweat from the both of you on there.
He didn't push you away, he just held his lips close to yours, in small and attentive brushes. "How do you feel?" he whispered, pulling back enough to look around your eyes.
"Good," you nod, "real fucking good."
Joel chuckled and looked down. Slowly, as not to hurt you, he pulled out.
You moaned at the sudden emptiness in you, lying there to catch your breath and so you didn't have to prepare for regret in his face.
But it seemed regret was the last thing on Joel's mind.
He had no idea what kind of animal was possessing him or just how far his need went. But when he fell back against the door, listening out to the low drum from the bar, he saw your swollen cunt. Red and white. Red from how hard he'd fucked you and white from the mixture of you and him.
Something growled inside of him- maybe it was him- but before either of you understood what was happening, Joel lunged back in and spread your thigs, diving in.
You lurched up onto your elbows, looking down at him. You could see the top of his hair, his eyes closed and you could feel his nose moving around you and nudging you. "Joel, what are you- holy-"
Joel hummed into your pussy. It was heaven on his tongue, dripping into him. So sweet and all you. He'd never felt closer to a person before. Never felt such a need. He was slobbering like a damn dog over your pussy.
"What the fuck have you done to me, huh," he'd pulled back only enough so you could understand his words.
Neither of you were sure if he was talking to you or what laid between your legs.
He opened up your pussy and went in, tongue fucking into you. He was caught between wanting to push his spill back into you and eating you out till you were dry.
"Joel!" you screamed, voice breaking. "You-you can't-"
"I fucking can," he snarled. His face was being pushed into your cunt as he shook it, smearing both of you all over him.
There was nothing you could say or do before your legs trembled and you came all over his beard and lips. You didn't know what to do, whether to push him off you or pull you closer.
Joel held your hips into his mouth and groaned as he took in everything you gave him.
Every flick of his tongue had you shaking. Every time he gripped your thighs you made a noise of pleasure.
Hours might have passed since he first discovered heaven between your thighs before he pulled himself out.
His face was wet with you. It was sinful and like nothing you could ever imagine. "Look at what you've fucking done to me."
You'd made an absolute mess.

Jealous Shadows

✩⁺₊✩☽⋆⋆☾✩⁺₊✩ ✩⁺₊✩☽⋆⋆☾✩⁺₊✩ ✩⁺₊✩☽⋆⋆☾✩⁺₊✩
The first time it happens, you don't think much of it.
You're at Rita's with the Inner Circle, nursing a drink at the bar while Cassian and Mor dance somewhere among the crowded space. The music thrums through the air, and the conversation hums around you when a male slides into an empty seat beside you.
"Didn't think someone like you would be sitting alone," he says, flashing a grin.
You don't even get the chance to respond before a flicker of something moves between you.
The male frowns, swiping at his hair, which has suddenly transformed from being neatly styled to sticking up in wild angles, as if an invisible force had run its hands through it... aggressively.
You blink in surprise.
He mutters a curse, trying to fix it, but the moment he smooths it down, the strands spring right back up. His frustration grows, hands swiping over his head repeatedly.
"I- what the hell?" he grumbles. "Is this air cursed or something?"
You bite the inside of your cheek, fighting a laugh.
And then you feel it.
A cool, familiar brush against your wrist.
Slowly, you glance down—just in time to see a shadow curling around your fingers before slipping away.
Your stomach flips.
You don't even need to turn around to know exactly where Azriel is.
✩⁺₊✩☽⋆⋆☾✩⁺₊✩ ✩⁺₊✩☽⋆⋆☾✩⁺₊✩ ✩⁺₊✩☽⋆⋆☾✩⁺₊✩
The second time it happens, it's harder to ignore.
You and Azriel are training in the House of Wing, and the session has drawn some attention—mainly from a visiting group of Illyrians who very clearly wanted to spar with you.
One in particular, a cocky warrior named Dain, is relentless. He lingers, circling the ring as Azriel corrects your stance, his gloved hands light against your arms.
"You sure you don't want a real sparring partner, sweetheart?" Dain calls, grinning. "I promise I'll go easy on you."
Azriel stills.
His fingers tighten ever so slightly before he steps back, shadows slithering at his feet. "She's training," he says evenly, but there's an obvious warning beneath the words.
Dain chuckles. "Training is nice and all, but I'd be happy to teach her a few things myself."
Something cold coils around your ankles.
Before you can react, the shadows yank. Not hard. Just enough to make you stumble backwards, right into Azriel's chest.
Your breath catches.
His hands steady you, fingers gripping your waist for a fraction of a second before he forces himself to let you.
You glance up at him, about to ask whether or not that was intentional, but his jaw is tight, hazel eyes locked on Dain.
Azriel's shadows have started to shift.
Not the lazy, fluid movements they usually have—but sharp, possessive flickers that wrap around you. One curls over your shoulder, while another drapes across your wrist, looping around like a claim.
You shiver, pulse skittering.
Dain seems to notice, too. His smirk falters, his eyes flicking between you and the swirling darkness. "Uh-"
The shadows snap toward him.
Not touching—just close. Close enough to make him step back.
You swear you hear them hiss.
Dain swallows hard. "Right. I, uh, should probably-"
Azriel doesn't blink. Doesn't move.
Dain takes the hint. He all but scrambles away, muttering under his breath.
And just like that, the shadows slip away, leaving you cold.
You whip around, crossing your arms. "What was that about?"
Azriel frowns, too casual. "What was what?"
"Oh, I don't know," you say dryly. "Maybe terrorizing a man into running for his life?"
His brow furrows, like he truly doesn't know what you're talking about. "I didn't do anything."
You narrow your eyes. Then one last shadow curls around your wrist before darting away like a child caught misbehaving.
Azriel glares at it.
Your lips part. "You have got to be kidding me."
His expression darkens as more shadows flick around you, playful now.
Azriel sighs. Pinches the bridge of his nose. "They don't usually-"
"Get jealous?" You finish for him, holding back a smile.
Silence.
His throat bobs.
And then—quietly, almost too quiet—you hear his shadows whisper something.
A name.
Your name.
And you realize—maybe it's not just his shadows who are jealous.
Your breath hitches. Azriel's wings rustle. And he looks like he's about to bolt.
Which is just unacceptable.
You cross your arms, tilting your head back to study him. "You know, I think your shadows like me more than they like you."
Azriel exhales sharply. "That's ridiculous."
"Is it?" You smirk, glancing down as a shadow curl lazily around your wrist. You give it a little wiggle, and the shadow clings tighter.
Azriel scowls at it. "Traitor."
A laugh bubbles out of you. You can't help it.
The great and terrifying Shadowsinger, bested by his own shadows.
"Oh, this is too good," you say, beaming up at him. "All this time, and they've secretly been on my side."
Azriel mutters something that sounds suspiciously like a curse. His wings twitch again. His shadows flick in annoyance—except the ones still clinging to you, moving to curl around your waist like they never want to let go.
You bite back a grin. "I mean, it makes sense." You gesture vaguely at them. "They probably just think I'd be a much better master."
Azriel gives you a deadpan stare. "That's not how this works."
"I don't know," you hum, pretending to consider it. "They seem pretty happy right now."
As if to prove your point, one shadow playfully loops around your fingers.
Azriel glowers. "You're encouraging them."
You give him an innocent smile. "Would I do that?"
He sighs, but you catch it—the way the corner of his mouth twitches. The way his gaze softens, just a little.
And then, so softly you almost miss it, he murmurs, "They have good taste, at least."
Your breath catches.
Your teasing falters for half a second before you recover. "So, you admit they like me more?"
Azriel exhales, shaking his head. "You're impossible."
You grin. "And you love it."
He doesn't answer. But the way his shadows linger—curling, warm, content—tells you everything you need to know.
✩⁺₊✩☽⋆⋆☾✩⁺₊✩ ✩⁺₊✩☽⋆⋆☾✩⁺₊✩ ✩⁺₊✩☽⋆⋆☾✩⁺₊✩
Cassian walks in moments later, takes one look at Azriel's shadows practically cuddling you, and immediately points.
"I knew it!" He boasts.
Azriel pinches the bridge of his nose. His shadows flick toward Cassian, clearly unimpressed.
And you?
You just laugh.
Because really—Azriel might deny it all he wants, but his shadows?
They don't lie.

Don't Look at Me Like That [18+]
Tumblr media
Pairings: Bucky Barnes x Female Reader. Summary: You get stuck in an awkward position in a very tight space and Bucky's dick decides it's a good time to get hard. Themes/Warning: Comedy Smut, forced proximity. Oral sex - Male Receiving. Guided Deep throating. A/N: Hah......to have your throat ruined by bucky ;_;
@classicrebound can you guess what inspired this? LOL
Tumblr media
“You’ve got to be kidding me.” Bucky groaned as the door of the janitor’s closet clicked shut, trapping the two of you inside.
The Avengers’ compound was massive—thousands of square feet of pristine, state-of-the-art design, but you and Bucky had somehow found yourselves stuck in the one claustrophobic, cramped janitor’s closet with a broken door handle.
“Move your stupid foot,” you muttered, glaring up at him.
“I can’t move anywhere, doll. There’s no room,” he snapped back, looking like he was trying very hard not to elbow you in the face as he shifted.
He wasn’t lying. There was barely enough space for one person, let alone two. Your shoulders were pressed against shelves full of cleaning supplies, and your knees were almost touching the floor, awkwardly bent as you knelt in front of Bucky.
“Why didn’t you wait until I finished grabbing the damn broom?” he complained, glowering down at you.
“Because I needed it!” You rolled your eyes, exasperated. “You were taking forever, and— Look, I’m sorry, okay? Just… help me up.”
Bucky tried shifting again, but with the tight space and the way your body was jammed into the corner, it was impossible. “You’re wedged in there like a sardine. I’m gonna have to—”
“Just move!” you snapped, tugging at his belt for leverage.
The sudden force made him stumble forward. You yelped as his hips knocked into you, and you lost your balance, falling forward—right into the worst possible position imaginable.
“Whoa—! What the hell?” Bucky’s voice came out in a strangled yelp as you braced yourself on his thighs, your face now directly level with his crotch. You looked up at him, scowling.
“I swear, Barnes, if you don’t—”
But the words died on your lips when you met his gaze. His chest heaved with the effort of keeping his balance, and his hands hovered uncertainty in the air as if he didn’t know what to do with them. The tension in his face slowly turned into something else as he looked down at you.
You blinked up at him, your annoyance fading as his expression shifted. His blue eyes locked onto yours, and you could feel the air change between you—growing thicker, heavier.
“Bucky…?” you asked, voice softening as you looked up at him, noticing his breathing had gone ragged.
He swallowed hard, the muscles in his throat working visibly.
“Doll,” he managed to croak out, his voice strained.
“What?” You frowned, looking at him in confusion.
“I—” He glanced down at you, his gaze darting to your lips before flicking back to your eyes. His nostrils flared, and he shifted awkwardly. “You… gotta stop looking at me like that.”
You furrowed your brow. “Like what?”
“Like—” He groaned, squeezing his eyes shut for a second before looking down at you again, his cheeks flushed. “Like you’re about to… you know.”
Your eyes widened, and it took a second for his words to register.
“Wait… What?! I’m not—!” You pulled back slightly, trying to put distance between you, but it only made things worse.
Because that’s when you noticed it. The growing, unmistakable bulge in his jeans, right in front of your face.
“Oh my God, Bucky,” you gasped, your voice a mix of shock and disbelief. “Are you— Are you getting hard right now?!”
His face flushed crimson. “I— No! I mean— I don’t know! You’re the one kneeling in front of me like— like—”
“Like what, Barnes?” you demanded, eyes narrowing. “Like I’m about to— Oh my God!”
You threw your hands up in frustration, accidentally brushing against his thighs in the process. His breath hitched, and you pulled your hands back like you’d been burned.
“Stop it!”
“I’m trying!” he hissed back, his voice dropping to a desperate whisper. “You’re making it worse, dammit!”
“What do you mean I’m making it worse?” you snapped, staring up at him in disbelief. “You’re the one getting turned on in a janitor’s closet!”
“I’m not doing it on purpose!” he growled, his hands flexing at his sides. “You keep looking up at me like that, and I— I don’t know, okay? It just— happens!”
“Stop saying it happens!” you squeaked, your face heating up as you looked at the bulge right in front of you. “Just— make it go away!”
“I can’t!” Bucky barked, his eyes wild with frustration. “I’m not a damn magician!”
“Then just think of something!” you snapped, voice rising. “Think of— of— I don’t know, dead puppies or—”
“That’s not helping!” he yelled, his voice cracking in a way that would have been hilarious if it weren’t for the very real problem growing in front of you.
“Then stop thinking about me!” you shouted back, your voice a panicked whisper.
“You think I’m doing this on purpose?” His eyes narrowed, his gaze dark and dangerous. “I can’t stop it, okay? It’s a reflex!”
“Reflex?!” You threw your hands up in exasperation. “What kind of reflex?”
“The kind that happens when someone’s looking up at you like they’re about to—” He cut himself off with a groan, rubbing a hand over his face. “God, this is the worst.”
“I’m not looking at you like that!” you protested, shaking your head furiously. “I’m looking at you like you’re a goddamn idiot!”
“Well, your face is saying something else!” he shot back.
“What’s it saying?” you demanded.
“Like you’re about to— I don’t know—” He faltered, his eyes darting down to your lips and then back up. “Like you want to—”
“Oh my God, stop it!” You covered your face with your hands, utterly mortified. “Just— Stop getting turned on, okay?!”
“I’m not trying to!” he groaned, dropping his head back against the wall. “Christ, do you think I want to be stuck in a closet with a hard-on right now?”
“Then do something about it!” you yelled, glaring up at him.
“I can’t just tell it to go away!” he yelled back.
“Then tell yourself to go away!” you shouted.
“Where the hell am I gonna go, Y/N?!” he yelled back, throwing his hands up. “We’re stuck in a goddamn closet!”
The two of you fell silent, glaring at each other. Bucky was breathing hard, his chest heaving with every breath, and you were trying very hard not to look at the problem that was still very much in your line of sight.
“This is insane,” you finally muttered, shaking your head. “Just— take deep breaths or something. Think. . .Think of Steve in a Speedo!”
Bucky made a face. “Why would I think of Steve in a Speedo?”
“Because it’ll kill the mood!” you shot back. “Just do it!”
Bucky sighed heavily but nodded. He closed his eyes, muttering to himself as he took slow, deep breaths. “Steve… in a Speedo… Steve… in a Speedo…”
You waited, watching his face closely. After a few long moments, his shoulders relaxed slightly, and his breathing steadied. He opened one eye and glanced down at you.
“Better?” you asked cautiously.
“Yeah.” He let out a long, relieved breath. “Better.”
“Good.” You nodded. “Great. So, can we get out of here now?”
“I’ll try the door again,” he muttered, reaching for the handle. But when he moved, he shifted just slightly forward—and the bulge that was supposed to be gone brushed against your shoulder.
You froze.
Bucky’s eyes flew open.
“Oh, for fuck’s sake!” you shrieked. “Bucky, stop it!”
“I can’t!” he shouted, his voice echoing through the tiny closet.
“Why can’t you just—”
“I don’t know! You’re the one who’s all— all down there, and—”
“Stop saying I’m down here like I’m doing something else!” you screamed back, face burning. “Just— I don’t know— stop thinking about my face!”
“I’m trying!” he yelled back. “But you keep looking up at me like—”
“Like what?!” you demanded. “Like I want to blow you or something?!”
“Yes!” he shouted, then slapped a hand over his mouth, his eyes widening in horror.
The closet fell silent.
You stared up at him, mouth hanging open in shock. “Bucky… did you just—”
“I didn’t mean—!” he spluttered, turning even redder. “I mean— I just— Oh God—”
“Oh my God, this is— This is the worst,” you whispered, covering your face with your hands again. “This is literally the worst.”
“Yeah,” Bucky agreed, sounding utterly miserable. “It really is.”
The two of you sat there in stunned silence, the reality of the situation sinking in. Bucky was still very much hard, you were still very much kneeling, and neither of you could move an inch.
“…So, how long do you think it’s gonna take for this to… y’know… go away?” you asked hesitantly, still crouched awkwardly on your knees. You shifted a little, trying to get comfortable, but every slight movement made your face closer to the obvious problem in Bucky’s jeans.
“I don’t know, okay?” Bucky muttered, his voice dripping with frustration. “Just… don’t look at it.”
“Look at what?” you asked innocently.
“My… my—DICK.” He groaned, squeezing his eyes shut for a second as if to gather his composure. “Just… stop looking at my dick!”
You blinked up at him, eyes wide with feigned confusion. “I’m not looking at anything.”
“Yes, you are!” Bucky hissed, gesturing at his crotch. “You’re staring right at it, doll. I can feel your eyes on me.”
You glanced at the bulge again and then back up to his flushed face.
“Oh, this?” you asked, pointing at it like it was a random spot on his jeans. “Sorry. Didn’t realise I was staring.”
“Y/N…” he warned, his voice low and dangerous.
“What?” You shrugged, doing your best to keep a straight face. “It’s kind of hard to not notice, y’know?”
“Just—” Bucky exhaled sharply, pinching the bridge of his nose with his metal fingers. “Just stop. Stop looking at the dick. Stop talking about it. Just… stop it.”
“Fine, fine.” You nodded and turned your head away, doing your best to ignore his predicament. But after a few seconds of awkward silence, your eyes involuntarily drifted back.
And there it was—still very much… present.
“Y/N!” Bucky growled, his voice strained. “Stop looking at it!”
“I’m sorry!” you blurted out, throwing your hands up in a helpless gesture. “It’s just— it’s right there, and it’s not going away!”
“Well, you’re not helping by staring!” he snapped, his voice a mix of irritation and something else—something that sounded suspiciously like desperation.
“Okay, well, maybe…” You hesitated, biting your lip as you considered your options. This was already the most awkward situation you’d ever been in, but if it wasn’t going away…
“Maybe what?” Bucky demanded, narrowing his eyes at you suspiciously. “Don’t even—”
“Maybe I should just…” You waved your hand in a vague motion, indicating the space in front of you. “Y’know… help or something?”
Bucky’s entire body went rigid.
“Help?” he repeated slowly, his voice barely a whisper.
You nodded, feeling a wicked smile tug at the corners of your lips. “Yeah… I mean, it’s not going away, right? So maybe if I just—”
“And what?!” Bucky interrupted, looking both horrified and intrigued. “What are you saying, Y/N?”
“And maybe if I…” You pressed your tongue against the inside of your cheek suggestively, your eyes dropping down to the bulge again. You heard Bucky’s breath hitch, and you had to suppress a grin as his gaze darkened.
“Don’t,” he warned, his voice a low growl. “Don’t you dare.”
You tilted your head, looking up at him through your lashes. “What? I’m just trying to help. You said you couldn’t get rid of it, so…”
“So what?!” Bucky’s voice was almost hysterical now, and he shifted on his feet still not knowing what to do with his hands. “You think— You think you can just—”
“I mean…” You leaned in slightly, your cheek brushing against his thigh as you moved closer, your lips dangerously close to the outline of his jeans. “If it’ll get us out of here faster…”
“Y/N, don’t.” Bucky’s voice was strained, his hands coming up to hover uncertainty in the air as if he wanted to push you away but couldn’t quite bring himself to do it. “I’m serious. This isn’t—”
“Isn’t what?” You raised an eyebrow, pressing your tongue against your cheek again in that infuriatingly suggestive way. “What do you want me to do, Bucky?”
“Not that!” he blurted out, his voice cracking slightly. “Just— Jesus, Y/N—”
“What?” You tilted your head, batting your lashes up at him. “It’s not going away on its own. And you said it’s my fault, right?”
Bucky groaned, his head dropping back against the wall with a soft thunk. “You’re gonna drive me insane, you know that?”
You bit back a laugh.
“So, should I…?” You trailed off, your eyes flicking pointedly to his crotch again.
“No,” he growled, his jaw clenching.
“Just trying to be helpful,” you murmured, smirking up at him.
“Helpful, my ass,” he muttered, but his gaze dropped to your lips, and his expression softened for just a split second.
You tilted your head slightly, your lips curving into a mischievous smile. “You sure you don’t want my help, Sergeant?”
His breath hitched again, and for a second, you thought he might actually say yes. But then he shook his head violently, squeezing his eyes shut.
“No,” he muttered, his voice rough. “No, I— We’re not doing this. Not here.”
You sighed dramatically, sitting back on your heels. “Fine. Suit yourself.”
Bucky let out a long, shaky breath, his shoulders relaxing slightly. “Thank you.”
“But you know…” You leaned in again, your breath ghosting over the front of his jeans as you looked up at him with a wicked grin. “If you change your mind—”
“Y/N!” he groaned, his voice breaking. “I swear to God, I’ll—”
“You’ll what?” You grinned, thoroughly enjoying his torment. “Push me away?”
“I—” He faltered, his gaze darting down to your lips and then back up to your eyes. “I—”
“Didn’t think so,” you murmured, pressing your tongue against your cheek one last time. He let out a tortured groan, his hands clenched into fists at his sides.
“You’re evil,” Bucky muttered, his voice low and rough.
“And you’re still hard,” you teased, eyes drifting down to the very obvious bulge in his jeans.
“Yeah, well, whose fault is that?” he shot back, his voice strained, his gaze boring down at you.
You shrugged, feigning innocence. “Guess you’ll just have to suffer, then.”
Bucky let out a long, tortured breath, his head falling back against the wall. His shoulders heaved as he struggled to keep himself under control. It was endearing, really—seeing the big, bad Winter Soldier at a loss for words, his composure unravelling inch by inch.
“I— I mean it, Y/N.” His voice was a mix of a plea and a warning now, and you felt a rush of satisfaction ripple through you. “Don’t… don’t mess with me like this.”
“Mess with you?” you murmured softly, leaning closer, the space between you narrowing. “Who said I was messing with you?”
He stilled, his jaw clenching as you brushed your cheek against the front of his jeans. You heard him suck in a breath, and when you tilted your head up to look at him, you saw the raw, unfiltered desire in his eyes.
“Doll…” He swallowed hard, his voice coming out rough and gravelly. “Don’t look at me like that.”
“Like what?” you asked, lips curving into a slow, wicked smile. “Like I’m about to do this?”
Before he could fake his protest, you reached up, your fingers lightly tracing the outline of his length firmly through his jeans. Bucky let out a low groan, his hips jerking at the contact.
“Shit,” he hissed, his head falling back against the wall.
You hummed softly, applying more grip to the fabric. He was so thick and hard beneath the denim, and the heat of him seared through the fabric. You ran your thumb along his length, pressing against the tip slightly, and Bucky let out a ragged moan, his hips twitching again.
“Want more, Sergeant?” you murmured, looking up at him through your lashes. “Want me to touch you properly?”
“Jesus—Fuck, yes,” he groaned, his voice breathless, “Just do it.”
With your deft fingers you unbuckled his belt, unzipping his jeans, pulling down freeing him from the constraint of his clothing. He sprang free, thick and hard, the tip flushed and glistening. You wrapped your hand around him, though your hand couldn’t fully envelope him.
“God, you’re big,” you murmured softly, giving a slow stroke from base to tip. Bucky shuddered, a low, needy moan escaping his lips.
“Doll, I—” His voice was rough and breathless, his hands hovering at his sides, watching you. “Just like that. Nice and slow. I want to feel every inch of your hand.”
“Yeah? Does it feel good?” you murmured, gripping him with your other hand. You ran your thumb over the sensitive head, smearing the precum that had gathered there, and Bucky let out a ragged groan, his hips bucking involuntarily.
“Fuck, that’s it,” he growled, his hand sliding down to your chin, tilting your head up further. “Look up at me, doll. Want to see those eyes on me while you make me feel so fucking good.”
You stared up at him, your gaze locking onto his as your hands continued to pump his hardened length, your hand slick with precum as you moved faster, firmer. Bucky let out a choked moan, his hips thrusting into your grip as he lost himself in the sensation.
“Like that, Sergeant?” you asked softly, twisting your wrist at the end of each stroke. “You can’t even fit in my hands.”
“God, yes—” he muttered, “Your hand feels so fucking good. But you know what I really want?”
You raised an eyebrow, your lips parting slightly as you looked up at him. “What’s that, Sergeant?”
“I wanna feel that mouth on me,” He murmured, his thumb brushing over your lower lip before gently pressing it into your mouth, your eyes locked with his as you slowly wrapped your lips around his thumb, sucking it seductively, “I want to come into your mouth and you swallow every drop of me.”
“Mhm, yes please.” You moaned softly, your breath hitching as his words sent a rush of heat straight to your core, making you undeniably wet under your skirt.
“Yeah?” he murmured, his voice dropping even lower. “You like that, huh? Like the idea of me using that pretty mouth? You gonna let me fuck that throat until it hurts, doll?”
“Hmm…” You leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to the tip of him before pulling back, your gaze never leaving his. “Yes can you fuck my mouth good, Sergeant?”
“Holy shit—”
You leaned forward again, your lips brushing against his tip as you gave him a slow, teasing lick. Bucky’s hips jerked involuntarily again, as he was not expecting this, accidentally forcing his cock further into your mouth. You just smiled around him and worked on the head of his cock, the tip of your tongue tracing the grooves of the head of his penis. You slurped your way to the tip and suckled on the head for a minute, keeping him in your mouth as you nursed on it. You worked your way down to his balls, and took one and then the other in your mouth, and started the whole thing again.
You weren't even sucking him and he felt like he was about to scream.
“Fuck, that’s it,” he groaned, his voice strained. “Just like that…”
You took your time with him, lavishing attention on his tip with soft licks and teasing strokes of your tongue. Every time you flicked your tongue over that sensitive spot just beneath the head, Bucky let out a low, desperate sound, his body trembling with the effort of holding himself back.
“Y/N,” he groaned, his voice rough with need. “More… need more…”
You wrapped your lips around his tip, sucking gently as your hand continued to stroke his length. Bucky let out a choked moan, his fingers twitching in the air as if he was fighting the urge to grab you.
“God, you’re so fucking good at this,” he muttered, his head falling back against the wall. “. . . you’re gonna make me lose it—”
You glanced up at him, your eyes locking onto his as you slowly took him deeper into your mouth, your lips stretching around him. Your jaw widened and you pressed forward, letting him slide along your tongue. When Bucky hits the top of your throat, you paused.
His fingers itched to take the back of your head and shove his way inside, but he let you do this. You knew what he wanted, and he needed to see how far you would go to give it to him. You widen your thighs, changing the angle, and relax your throat muscles enough for him to slip in.
“That’s it,” Bucky crooned. “I will let you breathe in a moment. Eyes on me, baby.”
Your wide, almost panicked gaze met his and he saw the fear and determination. It made his dick pulse, and he gave a short thrust of his hips to tunnel deeper. You worked together for a few seconds until he was fully inside, exactly where he wanted to stay.
“Relax,” Bucky instructed. “Don’t pull off.”
Tears gathered and spilled over your lashes, the most beautiful sight Bucky’s ever seen. His cock filled your mouth and throat, your lips pressed to his pelvic bone.
“Swallow, Y/N.”
Your throat muscles worked, squeezing him, and he gasped. “Oh fuck,” He moaned, pulling back so you could take in air.
After a few seconds, he lifted a brow in question, asking silently if you were ready, and you nodded once. This time Bucky didn’t wait, unable to keep from grasping your head and ramming his cock in your throat. When he was as deep as he could go, he held there, loving the way you looked on your knees, suffering to make him feel good.
Bucky could feel the orgasm building, his balls growing tight and heavy, the need to empty his seed in your mouth. You saw it in his face, swallowing twice, then again, trying to force his come from his body, and the idea of it was so hot that he began roughly fucking your mouth.
Every third or fourth stroke went in your throat, and he was like a man possessed. It was so much better than he imagines, your sweet tongue rubbing the underside while your lips pulled to give him suction. Like you couldn’t wait to drink him down.
You let him set the pace, your eyes locked onto him as his movements become more erratic and desperate. His cock was sliding in and out of your mouth like an oiled piston, and the suction noises you created were squelching into the room. You held yourself steady, hands holding onto Bucky’s ass, while his hips moved faster, his grip tightening as he chased his release. His mouth hang open while ragged gasps escape past his lips and his moans filled the tiny closet, raw and needy and desperate.
“I am going to shoot all over your mouth,” Bucky panted.
You moaned in your throat as if you liked the idea, and the sound vibrated along his shaft. The thin threads of his self-control snapped and his balls sizzled with the impending orgasm. Pulling out of your mouth, Bucky fisted his cock as he aimed his spurting cock into your waiting mouth, thick jets erupted in pulses, his come pooling at the back of your mouth, coating your lips and chin. You sat patiently, taking it, letting him paint you with his release, and Bucky snarled in satisfaction, wishing he could drown you more in his come. When he finished it dripped off your chin and onto the floor.
“Fuck,” Bucky said, slumping against the wall. “I wish I could keep you like this. Just like this, baby. At my feet, covered in my come.”
Swallowing, you grinned, you licked your lips, tasting the thick mess. “Yum.”
Wiping the corner of your mouth with your thumb as you sit back on your heels. "Glad I could help, Sergeant," you murmured, your voice soft and teasing as you licked your lips, making sure to savour every last drop.

Yandere Seasons of the Year
Autumn is the nerdy girl in your book club. Pigtails, pleated skirts, too thick glasses. Whenever she's forced to speak up in class, she almost always stutters. Getting softer with each word until the teacher finally has mercy on her and let's her trail off. She has few friends, mostly other slightly dorky kids who band together because otherwise they'd all be stuck eating alone. You don't really notice her at first.
But then you read Jane Eyre and for once she isn't shy at all. She tells your whole book club all about the symbolism, the themes, how she doesn't fully consider it a gothic novel but that it definitely has gothic elements. Her cheeks are just a little flushed, her hands darting around when she talks. She's pretty, you realise slowly. When she isn't folded over herself or scurrying through the hall like she doesn't want to be caught.
Afterwards, you strike up a conversation with her. She's all shy again, not really meeting your eyes.
"My dad's got a whole collection of classics. Special edition prints, with these hand painted edges," you tell her. "Why don't you stop by and you can borrow some?"
She narrows her eyes at you like she thinks you're making fun of her. "Maybe. If I have time."
She doesn't drop by. When you see her in the halls after that, you always stop to greet her. But she looks so uncomfortable that you never get to have a conversation. Always running off with her head bent so far down that you wonder how she sees anything past the tips of her shoes.
After a few weeks of half finished sentences and always keeping her books clutched to her chest, you're about ready to give up. To take the hint that she doesn't want to be your friend.
But then... she starts seeking you out. Tentative at first. Waiting outside your class and only saying hello if you're alone. Changing her route so that it takes her past your locker. Sitting just a little closer to you at lunch, almost always two tables away so you're in her line of sight.
Maybe she realises you aren't setting up some elaborate prank by talking to her. Your hurried hellos become actual conversations. She starts walking you to class every morning. When you again invite her over to borrow some books, she actually shows up.
Standing on your doorstep with the trees flaring yellow and orange behind her, her hair pushed out of her face with a red Alice band.
"Hi."
You lead her up to your room and she perches on the edge of your bed like she's scared to touch it. Scared to be in your space.
You were in the middle of sorting through your makeup before she showed up and now you look over at her with a twinkle in your eye.
"Will you let me do your makeup? Please?"
Her eyes go all wide behind her glasses. "Uh I don't know...I don't really wear that stuff..."
You sit in front of her, your kit spread on your lap. "Come on! You'll look so good. You've got such a great bone structure, it's practically a crime to not try some bronzer."
"I guess..."
You carefully reach up and take off her glasses. She flinches. "Shh, relax. It doesn't hurt."
You tuck a strand of hair behind her ear and tilt her chin up with your finger. When you smooth primer over her skin, she subconsciously tilts her face into your palm.
"That feels nice..."
Her eye makeup is the trickiest part. She flinches every time you bring the eyeliner even close to her. Eventually, you slip your free hand around the nape of her neck. She freezes just long enough for you to add some wings. Her ears turn a bright red and she ducks away from you, stuttering.
"Ah sorry. Were my hands too cold?"
"N-no. No, your hands are...perfect."
You end up so close to her face that when she finally opens her eyes after mascara and lashes, she gasps. You run your thumb across her cheekbone to clear away a little spilled eye shadow.
"All done."
Even after you step away, it's takes her a few seconds to move.
"Do you like it?"
"I look so different."
You stand behind her in front of the mirror and rest your chin on her shoulder. "That's the magic of makeup! It's a good different. And besides, we're matching."
"Oh." She touches her fingers to her lips and looks down at the lipstick smeared on her fingertips. "I didn't notice. I...I really like it."
You pull away and grin at her. "Aren't you glad you let me do it?"
"Yeah," she says, still staring at her fingers. "Really glad."
When your lipstick and then your lip balm go missing, you don't even notice. What was it the kids used to say back in elementary? That if your lips touch where someone else's did, it counts as a kiss?
Autumn walks home through the falling leaves and wonders if you realise you're her first kiss.
Winter is the student council president. Confident, clever, a guy everyone says is going to be a great leader someday.
Oh, but he's cold too. Doesn't have any real friends, only achievements. Everyone knows him. Everyone respects him. But being respected and being liked are not at all the same thing.
You wonder if he ever gets lonely. You walk past the student council office during lunch one day and see him at his computer, a half eaten apple forgotten at his elbow. You shouldn't feel sorry for him. He's on the fast track to an ivy league and a career in finance. In a few years, he's going to be richer than you could ever hope to be. He takes home every performance award in every subject.
You shouldn't feel sorry for him. But you do.
"Hey, you got a minute?" You lightly rap on the doorframe and he turns to face you, not at all ruffled by your sudden appearance.
"Sure. You're y/n, right? I think we had algebra together a few years ago."
"Yep. Before you started taking AP classes and leaving all us peasants in the dust."
You're not surprised he knows you, despite never being introduced or even having a conversation before.
You grin at him. "Is an apple really the only lunch you're having? You've got to keep your energy up if you want to protect your title as smartest guy in school."
He frowns at his apple. The parts he's bitten are already starting to brown.
"I'm not that hungry."
You lean in the door frame and cross your arms. "I'm supposed to let our student present starve? If I let that happen, who's going to be around to defend our debate title? Stand up to the tyranny of the chess club?"
He scoffs and uses the tip of his pen to nudge the apple into the waste paper basket.
"Come eat lunch with me. I've been wanting to join some clubs and you can tell me what looks best on a college application. You can call it community service if you want," you offer.
That gets you a slightly raised brow. The most expressive you've seen him yet.
"What are they even offering today? I don't really stop at the cafeteria."
"Oh, you're in luck," you say. "Mashed potatoes and gravy. And it's only slightly congealed this time."
"Yum." Still, he stands up to follow you. He's much taller than you realised, and when he picks up his backpack his muscles flex in a way that tells you he isn't afraid of hitting the gym. Again, unsurprising. Except for his lunch, he seems the type to have his life in perfect balance.
When you finally sit down in the cafeteria, it isn't long before the other kids notice him. You're scarcely two bites into your lunch when the student magazine editor starts asking him about the budget for next semester. When that's settled, the chess team are next in line to complain about the state of their boards and to ask pretty please for some new pieces. It's only when the bell rings that they finally leave him alone. His lunch sits untouched in front of him.
"I'm sorry. I didn't realise."
He shrugs and shoots you a half smile. "Thanks anyway. This was...nice."
It's only when he's gone that you start to wonder if anyone else has ever seen him smile.
You start taking him lunch in the office a few days a week. Mostly sandwiches and chocolate milk. Not exactly the pinnacle of good eating, but anything is better than nothing, right?
You always end up on his desk, ankles crossed while he reclines in his computer chair, chin tilted up slightly to meet your eyes. It's casual, easy. He's funny, in a deadpan kind of way. You end up learning a ton about college admissions, about extra credit, about Ivy League rankings.
When applications open, he's the first person you go to when you need help. Eventually, he just sighs and plucks your half finished essay from your backpack.
"Just let me handle it, jeez."
"Really? Oh my god, thank you!" You stand on your toes and pull him into a hug. "You have no idea how stressed I've been."
He freezes. And then slowly wraps his arms around your waist.
" 'Course," he mutters into the crown of your head. "I'd be happy to."
The thing about Winter as a season is that it can be so insidiously misleading. You assume the greatest danger is the ice, the cold. You don't realise that most deaths are from broken gas lines, from excess alcohol, from persistent coughs. You prepare yourself for all the wrong dangers.
You assume that if Winter wants something, he'll pursue it outright. You don't notice that your college applications are only being sent to places he's applied to as well. You don't notice the way he sneaks your name into the records for the debate team, the chess club, volunteering hours - a blatant forgery just so you have a better chance of being accepted at the institutions where he wants you.
You don't notice the way he always comes up to you when other guys are talking to you, dragging you away with a tight smile and an excuse about scheduling issues or needing your help with the budget.
You don't notice him falling for you until it's far, far too late.
Spring is the ultra cool, earthy girl in your art class. Always sporting a full afro or long goddess braids. Effortlessly chic, with gold jewellery in her hair no matter how busy school seems to get.
She moves through everything at her own pace. Not part of a clique but never alone either.
You've always known each other a little. Had a few classes together over the years, shared lunch once or twice. But life is hectic and your paths don't always cross as much as you'd like. So when you end up in art class hoping for extra credits, you're more than a little glad to see her.
She's talented. Her portfolio has art schools all across the country drooling, practically on their knees to offer her a full ride.
It would be easy to get jealous, and you have no doubt that more than a few of your classmates are. But you? You're just glad to see talent being appreciated.
It's a beautiful spring day when she comes up behind you and offers to give you some private lessons. Your hands are covered in charcoal, there's streaks of black on your cheeks and despite your efforts, your canvas is an unartistic mess.
You smile at her like she's heaven sent.
"Would you really? I know art is subjective and all, but I'm afraid everyone thinks I'm objectively bad."
She tilts your head at your canvas, beads in her braids clinking.
"Not as bad you think. I can see what you're trying to do. You just don't have enough technique yet."
When you meet her after school, the classroom is gold and hazy with the late afternoon sun. She makes you sit at her easel and leans on the back of your chair.
"Draw some perspective lines for me."
You try to, but by the third line her hands are already coming up to guide yours.
"No. Always try and stick to your vanishing point. Like this."
Her voice is low in your ear and you can smell her perfume, something sweet and flowery that makes you want to bury your face in her hair.
"See?"
"Mm-hmm. Easier when it's so direct."
"Good."
She stays right by your chair for the rest of the lesson, occasionally leaning down to adjust your grip. When the day is done, your hair smells like her perfume and your fingers ache from work well done.
She doesn't seem like the type to have a boyfriend. Maybe you're being unfair, but you just can't see it. She's so nonchalant, so very much herself, that the antics of teenage boys seem so very beneath her. She must like someone though, because a few weeks after she starts tutoring you, you get a glimpse of her latest piece. A sketch of her leaning down to kiss someone, their face obscured by the fall of her hair.
If it were anyone else, you would tease them relentlessly about it. Who do you got a crush on so bad that you want to draw them?
Not her though. You respect her art too much to make light of it like that. And when her portfolio starts filling up with love poems, with tributes, with re-interpretations of Le Printemps and Le Sommeil... Well, you pretend not to notice.
It's only at the very end of the year that you start to really wonder who it's all about. When you finish your final piece - the best canvas to date, the one you and her poured hours of work into - she leans down and presses her lips against your signature. It leaves behind a lipstick print in a deep, gorgeous red. Somehow brings the whole piece together.
"I love it," you tell her, eyes on your art.
"So do I," she says, eyes on you.
Summer is the tanned, laughing jock who's always filling up the hall with his voice. Friendly, likeable. Just about everyone has a crush on him.
Not a bully, though he has the size and strength for it. Helpful, in his big, well meaning way.
His future is clear for everyone to see. Working in his dad's construction company until its time to take over, marrying a girl just as pretty and golden as him, becoming the kind of father that other kids look at and long for. It's a good life. It suits him. Days filled with sunshine and love and laughter. He deserves it.
So when he asks you to tutor him, you assume he doesn't want anything more than a better grade. Books and calculators spread out on the bleachers after practice, the smell of fresh cut grass in the air, summer sun warm and gold over the football field. If you were more his type, you'd call it romantic.
As it is, you just appreciate the good weather and the good company. When his teammates joke that he's tanking his grades on purpose just to spend time with you, you laugh and say you're sure he's got better things to do with his time that that.
It takes a few months, but his grades do improve. And when you go through the homework together, it's clear that he understands what he's doing.
"Well champ, seems my work here is done. You're ahead of the class, you understand the methods and your papers have all come back with Bs and above."
You shrug, smile at him. "You're free to go. Have your afternoons back."
"What?" He frowns at you, water bottle halfway to his mouth. "No. The year isn't over yet."
You laugh, a little flattered that he seems so upset to see you go. "I know. But you don't need me anymore. Just practice the problems I marked out for you and you'll be just fine."
For once, he seems at a loss for words. You stand, sling your backpack over your shoulder. It's just you and him left on the bleachers, the empty football field a behemoth between you and the school building.
When you're halfway across, he catches up with you. Grabs your backpack and stops you in your tracks.
"What about English? I really need some help with the novel. And my chemistry is a mess. Seriously, we can't stop now. You can't just...leave me like that."
If you didn't know any better, you'd say he sounded almost panicked.
"I think Jackson from homeroom is your best bet with chemistry. Oh, and I'll send you my English notes. I did a whole section on themes and stuff."
He frowns again. "No. No. I don't want any of that. I want you."
The skin at the nape of your neck prickles, despite the late afternoon sun being full on your back. Was he always so much bigger than you? How didn't you notice it before?
"Hey, listen. I know you're worried. But we've put in tons of effort. You know your stuff. When exam season rolls around, you'll be just fine."
You try and walk away but he's still holding onto your bag.
"I can pay you."
"I don't want money," you say, irritated and offended both. "I never wanted to be paid for any of this. You're a great guy. I'm happy to help you out."
"Then stay."
Why is he being so persistent? His hold on your backpack tightens when you don't immediately answer.
"Please."
That decides you. How can you say no when a nice guy is practically begging? You're not a monster.
You sigh. "Fine. But only until after homecoming, 'kay?"
"Sure," he says. "I'll let you go when I'm done. Promise."
In the last light of a long summer day, you make the mistake of believing him.

OUT OF SIGHT, OUT OF MIND
Tumblr media
PAIRING: Love and Deepspace men x reader
SYNOPSIS: You notice their distance, the subtle avoidance, and decide it’s time to confront them.
A/N: Hope you enjoy!
Tumblr media
Lately, you had noticed a shift—subtle at first, but impossible to ignore. He had grown distant. Plans that once came effortlessly were now met with half-hearted excuses, and more often than not, you found yourself alone, wondering what had changed.
At first, you gave him the benefit of the doubt. Maybe he was just busy. Maybe it was stress. But as the days stretched on, it became painfully clear—he was avoiding you.
And you had finally had enough.
Determination settled in your chest like a steady flame as you sought him out, your heart pounding with unspoken questions. Whatever was going on, you refused to let it linger in silence any longer.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Xavier
You knocked on your neighbor’s door.
Once. No answer. Twice. Silence.
By the third time, you were seconds away from kicking it down when, at last, the door creaked open.
Xavier stood there, disheveled—his light hair an untamed mess, eyes barely open, their usual sharpness dulled by sleep. He squinted at you, his brows furrowing in groggy confusion.
“Y/N?” His voice was thick with sleep, raspy and low. “What are you doing here?”
There was something in his expression—surprise, yes, but beneath it, something else. Panic?
Your gaze hardened, arms crossing over your chest in silent declaration of your resolve. You weren’t here for small talk.
“I want answers, Xavier.” Your voice was steady, unwavering. “Why have you been avoiding me?”
A tense silence settled between you. He shifted his weight, eyes darting away. The longer he hesitated, the deeper your suspicions grew.
And then, you noticed it—his cheeks. A soft flush of color dusted his skin. Was he blushing?
“I wasn't avoiding you,” he muttered sheepishly, rubbing the back of his neck as though the motion would ground him. The question seemed to shake off the remnants of sleep, but it didn’t make him any more willing to meet your gaze.
“Don’t lie to me.” You stepped closer, narrowing your eyes. Your finger jabbed against his chest, and instinctively, he took a step back—giving you the perfect opportunity to slip past him and into his apartment.
“Suddenly, you’re always busy or conveniently not home everytime I want to spend time with you.” Your frustration bubbled over, arms flailing as you spoke. “I’m not stupid, Xavier.”
He sighed, running a hand through his hair. “Okay. Maybe I have been avoiding you a little.” His voice was more controlled now, but his gaze remained fixed on the floor.
You took another step forward, closing the space between you. “Care to explain why?”
He still didn’t answer, lips parting as if he wanted to speak, yet no words came.
Your shoulders sagged, irritation giving way to something softer—concern. You sighed, tone gentler this time. “Xavier… if I did something to upset you—”
“No.” His reply was immediate, cutting off your words. “You didn’t do anything.”
He finally met your eyes, and the sincerity in his gaze made your breath hitch. “You’re… amazing. And I guess that’s the problem.”
Your pulse quickened.
“I’ve caught myself thinking about you more than I should. Feeling things I shouldn’t be feeling—not for a friend.” His voice was quieter now, laced with something unspoken, something fragile.
For once, it was you who was speechless.
Then, a slow smirk tugged at your lips. “Xavier… is that a confession?”
His eyes flickered with something between exasperation and amusement as he shook his head. Unbelievable,” he muttered under his breath, but he didn’t deny it.
You hesitated for only a second before reaching for his hand, lacing your fingers through his. His skin was warm, his grip hesitant but firm.
“Good thing you’ve been on my mind a lot, too.” Your voice was softer now, sincerity replacing the teasing edge.
But then, the memory of the past few days resurfaced, and you frowned, tightening your hold. “That still doesn’t mean you should’ve avoided me.”
He let out a breathy chuckle, rubbing the pad of his thumb over the back of your hand. “I know… I’m sorry.” He tilted his head slightly, lips curving into a small smile. “I’ll make it up to you?”
“You better.”
And before he could respond, you pulled him into a tight embrace, arms wrapping around him like you never wanted to let go. You felt his chest rise and fall beneath your touch, the warmth of his body seeping into yours.
He didn’t complain. Instead, he melted into you, arms circling around your waist, holding you just as tightly.
And just like that, the distance between you was gone.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Zayne
Of course, Zayne was never the overly affectionate type, but even then you could tell he was deliberately avoiding you.
At first, you chalked it up to his demanding schedule—after all, he was saving lives. But even that excuse couldn’t justify his abrupt change in behavior.
Whenever you did manage to catch him in passing, he kept conversations brief, his responses clipped and impersonal. The once effortless exchanges between you had turned into distant formalities, as though you were nothing more than another name on his patient roster.
And frankly, you’d had enough.
Determined, you made your way to his office, having learned from Grayson that Zayne was on break. You knocked sharply on his door, only to be met with a detached “Come in.”
As you stepped inside, you caught the briefest flicker of something in his expression—surprise? Guilt? Whatever it was, it vanished as quickly as it appeared, replaced by his usual impassive demeanor.
“It’s not time for your monthly check-up yet,” he remarked, barely sparing you a glance as he returned his attention to his computer screen.
That made your blood boil. He was acting as if you were just another patient, as if the past weeks of tension between you didn’t exist.
“I’m not here for a check-up.” You sat down across from him, eyes fixed on his face, watching for any reaction. “I want to have lunch with you.”
His fingers paused momentarily over his keyboard before resuming their rhythm.
“Grayson told me you’re on break, so don’t even try to claim you’re busy.” You crossed your arms, already anticipating whatever excuse he was about to fabricate.
Zayne exhaled slowly, as if contemplating his next move.
“I need to prepare for surgery—”
“No, you don’t.” You leaned forward, resting your elbows on his desk, dangerously close to his face.
“Tell me, Dr. Zayne… this isn’t how a gentleman treats a lady, is it?” Your voice took on a teasing lilt, though there was an unmistakable edge to it.
He sighed, removing his glasses for a moment to pinch the bridge of his nose before sliding them back into place.
“You are no lady,” he muttered, shaking his head. “You are the devil incarnate.”
You laughed, the sound light and amused.
“Why are you avoiding me?” You dropped the playful tone, cutting straight to the point.
Zayne was silent for a long moment, then finally, he lifted his gaze to meet yours. With an air of finality, he stood from his chair, rounding the desk until he was standing directly in front of you.
“So, even after all my efforts, you still insist on tormenting me at work.” His voice was its usual measured calm, but there was something else beneath it, something unreadable.
“I suppose there’s no point in attempting to hide it any longer.” His gaze darkened, intense enough to send an involuntary shiver down your spine. “Avoiding you didn’t change anything. It didn’t stop my thoughts from straying to you, didn’t stop my eyes from seeking you out the moment you enter a room. You are peculiar, infuriatingly so… and yet, I find myself drawn to you in ways I cannot ignore.”
Your breath hitched slightly at his words, but you weren’t the only one affected. Though his face remained unreadable, the faintest hint of color dusted the tips of his ears.
“Do you…” You hesitated, swallowing the sudden nervousness rising in your throat. “Do you really feel that way about me?”
Zayne regarded you for a moment before giving a single, deliberate nod.
A slow smile crept onto your lips, the boldness you’d arrived with now tinged with a shy excitement. “Well then… how about we have lunch and talk about this?”
Something in his expression softened, and though he didn’t say it outright, his silence was answer enough.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Rafayel
There had always been a game between you and Rafayel—a never-ending dance of teasing and flirtation that neither of you ever seemed to tire of. It was effortless, a constant, something you had come to expect from him.
So when he suddenly became quiet, retreating from that familiar dynamic, it took you by surprise. It was unlike him—so unlike him. Instead of returning your playful remarks with an even more shamelessly flirtatious response, he simply looked away. Instead of seeking you out like he always had, he started keeping his distance. At first, you thought maybe he had met someone, that perhaps the easy banter had lost its charm for him. But then he didn’t just stop flirting—he started avoiding you altogether.
That was what finally pushed you to action.
The party was buzzing with music and laughter, the air thick with the scent of alcohol and expensive cologne. The warm glow of string lights cast flickering shadows across the walls, but you only had eyes for one person—the man who had been actively dodging you. Fueled by a mix of frustration and liquid courage, you found him lingering near the balcony, his back turned to you. Without hesitation, you strode over and cornered him against the wall, planting both hands beside him, effectively caging him in.
"Tell me, Raf," you demanded, voice slightly slurred but unwavering. "What have I done to make you avoid me?"
He blinked, clearly startled by your sudden boldness. For a moment, he was speechless, his gaze flickering across your face as if searching for something. Then, in a desperate attempt to regain his composure, he let out a low chuckle, crossing his arms over his chest.
"Now, cutie," he drawled, tilting his head with feigned nonchalance, "why would you think I’m avoiding you?"
You narrowed your eyes, unwilling to let him weasel his way out of this. "Is it because you met someone?" you pressed, frustration laced with something dangerously close to vulnerability. "You don’t have to avoid me, Raf. We don’t have to ‘joke around’ anymore, just… don’t act like I don’t exist."
The words felt heavier as they left your mouth, laced with an ache you hadn't meant to reveal.
Rafayel’s smirk faded. A quiet sigh escaped him before he reached up, his fingers grazing your cheek with uncharacteristic tenderness. The usual mischief in his eyes was gone, replaced by something softer—something real.
"You really are dense," he murmured, thumb tracing slow, soothing circles against your skin. "I tried to put space between us because it stopped being just flirting for me. It wasn’t just a game anymore." His voice was quieter now, steadier. "I was falling for you."
Your breath hitched. For a moment, all you could do was stare, his words settling over you, sinking in, unraveling everything you had assumed.
And then you acted on instinct.
Without a word, you leaned in, pressing a soft, lingering kiss to his lips. It was brief, but it said everything—everything you hadn't been able to say before. When you pulled away, his expression was unreadable for half a second, and then a slow, almost disbelieving smile curved his lips.
"You’re a big, big dummy," you murmured, grinning up at him, finally feeling like you had him back.
And this time, he didn’t pull away.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sylus
Oh, you were furious.
You had always known the kind of man Sylus was—disappearing without a word, leaving messages unanswered, slipping in and out of your life as if bound by no one’s rules but his own. But never, not once, had his absence stretched beyond two days.
Now, an entire week had passed.
You had called, concern gnawing at your chest, only to be met with silence. But when you saw the twins posting nonchalantly on moments, realization settled over you like a cold weight.
You were being ignored.
And you hated how much it affected you.
Was his absence truly taking such a toll on you? Was the lack of his attention enough to make your world feel unsteady? The thought alone was infuriating.
Enough was enough.
Before you could second-guess yourself, you were already standing in front of his house, storming inside like you belonged there, your every step heavy with emotion.
"Where’s Sylus?" you demanded the moment you entered the kitchen, finding Luke and Kieran lost in quiet laughter over some inside joke.
They startled at your sudden entrance, but it was the scowl on your face that wiped the amusement from their expressions. Without hesitation, they told you exactly where to find their boss.
You didn’t bother knocking.
The door to Sylus’ study swung open, revealing him lounging in a chair, a glass of red wine in hand, his robe—also red, because of course it was—hanging loosely off his frame, exposing far too much skin. The dim lighting cast golden shadows across the sharp angles of his face, only adding to the effortless air of danger that always seemed to follow him.
But you refused to be distracted.
"You moron," you spat, striding toward him.
Sylus arched a dark brow, his lips curling in amusement.
"It’s wonderful to see you too, sweet thing," he drawled, his voice smooth and indulgent, like honeyed wine. He took another unbothered sip.
The nonchalance of it all only fueled your anger. You grabbed the glass from his hand and set it down—none too gently—on the nearby table.
"Don’t ‘sweet thing’ me right now. I thought you were dead!" Your voice wavered between frustration and something dangerously close to hurt.
He exhaled a soft chuckle, entirely unfazed. "Is it my fault you assume I can be taken down so easily?" His tone was rich with amusement, a teasing lilt behind every syllable.
"Oh, you’re about to be taken down if you don’t start explaining yourself," you shot back, eyes burning with a challenge.
That, at least, seemed to amuse him less.
"Explain what, exactly?" he asked, tilting his head slightly, though his gaze remained sharp. "Be specific, darling."
You scoffed, crossing your arms. "Explain why you’ve been ignoring me all week."
Silence.
It lasted only a moment, but in that pause, something in the air shifted.
When he finally spoke, his voice had lost its teasing edge. "What do you expect me to say? That every time I was near you, I was overwhelmed by emotions I have no business feeling? That you make me reckless? That I—" He exhaled sharply, running a hand through his dark hair. "I shouldn’t let myself feel this way. It makes me weak."
Your breath hitched.
His voice, once laced with quiet amusement, now carried something else entirely—something raw, something unguarded.
"And now," he continued, stepping closer, his voice quieter but no less intense, "I’ve said it out loud. There’s no going back. You have the upper hand, sweet thing. You’ve wrapped me around your little finger."
His proximity made heat rise to your cheeks, but you held your ground.
"So, what now?" His voice was softer now, laced with the barest hint of vulnerability. "Is your curiosity satisfied?"
You glanced away, unsure of how to answer, but he was quick to lift your chin with a single finger, forcing your eyes to meet his.
There, in the depths of his gaze, was something undeniable—something entirely, devastatingly real.
"Instead of a weakness," you murmured, your hand covering his, "why not let it be your strength?"
For a moment, Sylus said nothing. Then, slowly, his fingers curled around yours.
And for the first time in his life, love didn’t feel like a liability. It felt like power.

Caleb
Your normally talkative, bubbly best friend had become a shadow of himself—distant, reserved, and frustratingly unreadable.
At first, you tried to ignore it, convincing yourself that maybe he just needed space. Everyone had their moments, after all. But when he started canceling plans—your plans—that was what truly hurt. He shut you out without explanation, leaving you to wonder what had changed.
And you hated not knowing.
So when you finally managed to get him alone, seated beside you on the couch in the familiar comfort of your living room, you weren’t about to waste the opportunity. You wanted answers, and this time, you weren’t leaving without them.
The air was thick with unspoken words as you turned to face him. The dim glow of the lamp cast warm shadows across his features, highlighting the tension in his jaw, the slight crease between his brows. He had been unusually quiet all evening, and you had reached your limit.
"What’s with the long face, Caleb?" you asked, your voice softer than you intended, laced with quiet concern. "Tell me what’s wrong."
Your eyes searched his, willing him to let you in. His moods always affected you, but this… this silence was unbearable.
Caleb looked momentarily caught off guard, as if he hadn’t expected you to confront him so directly. He parted his lips to speak—probably to brush it off, to tell you it was nothing—but then he hesitated.
And instead of words, he took your hand.
Gently, he pressed your palm against his chest, right over his heart. You could feel it, the rapid beat beneath your fingertips.
"Did I do something wrong?" you asked, your voice barely above a whisper. "You've been so distant lately…"
His grip on your hand tightened slightly. "Pipsqueak," he murmured, the nickname rolling off his tongue with quiet fondness. "You could never upset me."
There was something unreadable in his gaze—something raw.
"I've just been… confused," he admitted, his voice lower now, as if he wasn’t sure he wanted to say the words aloud.
"Confused about what?" You instinctively moved closer, barely noticing the way your knees touched.
Caleb exhaled slowly, his thumb brushing over your knuckles. "It’s becoming harder to hide," he finally said. "To pretend I don’t feel something I’ve been trying to ignore for far longer than I should have."
Then, in a move so tender it sent a shiver down your spine, he lifted your hand to his cheek, closing his eyes for just a moment as he nuzzled against your palm.
Your breath caught in your throat.
"Caleb…" Your voice wavered, warmth creeping up your face. His touch was intoxicating, his puppy-eyed gaze making your heart weak. "What are you saying?"
His lips curled into the faintest smile, as if the answer had been obvious all along.
"What I’m saying," he murmured, eyes locked onto yours, "is that I’m hopelessly in love with you."
Your heart stuttered, warmth blooming in your chest like sunlight breaking through a storm.
And in that moment, nothing had ever felt more right.
You wrapped your arms tightly around Caleb, burying your face against his shoulder—partly to conceal the heat rising to your cheeks, partly to soak in the warmth of his embrace. The steady rhythm of his heartbeat beneath your fingertips felt grounding, reassuring, like an unspoken promise.
In that moment, you felt whole. As if a missing piece you hadn't even realized was absent had finally fallen into place, completing a puzzle you hadn't known you were solving.

LEVIATHAN
❀ Levi is SO nervous. This isn’t just his first time with you, it’s his first time ever.
❀ That being said, you would definitely have to be the one to initiate it. While binging TSL together in your room, all it takes is for you to cuddle a little too close to him and suddenly he’s hardening in his pjs. ❀ Don’t be surprised if he passes out the second you take your shirt off. He’s a blushing mess, eyes wide and darting all over the room like he can’t decide if he wants to bolt or lean closer.
❀ And if you tease him? Maybe some grinding on the obvious tent in his pants and sucking on his neck? Oh, he’s coming in his favourite boxers with an embarrassed but pleased gasp of your name.
❀ He is SO loud, whiny moans and whimpers leaving his mouth when you finally sink down onto him, riding him while he buries his face in your neck.
❀ Has no clue where to put his hands, would let you guide them wherever you want. Would let you use him however you want, completely fine with being overstimulated if it meant you felt good.
❀ I actually feel like he would know how to please a partner surprisingly well for his first time (probably from reading some freaky ass stuff….), he knows to angle his hips a certain way so that he hits that spot inside you that has you seeing stars.
❀ Again, just wants to make his favourite person feel good. Would die from embarrassment on the spot if you pointed this out, though.

BEELZEBUB
۶ৎ As the tallest out of all of the brothers, it’s common knowledge that Beelzebub is big.
۶ৎ So really it’s hardly a surprise that he has an equally large dick, just to be proportionate! ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ
۶ৎ Ever the gentle giant, Beel decides to prepare you to take him by eating you out. He just gets a little distracted in the process and instead eats you out for hours in the sloppiest, filthiest way you’ve ever experienced.
۶ৎ He pulls orgasm out of orgasm out of you, holding you down with his massive hands splayed over your thighs when you try to squirm away from the overstimulation.
۶ৎ The idea of fucking you is long gone from his brain, happy to spend eternity between your legs. Beel could seriously cum from the taste of you on his tongue alone.
۶ৎ Lost in the sauce would be an understatement. His sounds are almost animalistic, deep grunts muffled by the sloppy sounds your messy eater is making during his feast.
۶ৎ By the time he finally lets up you’re so fucked out that you just lay there in a daze as he leans over you, pupils blown and a mess of drool and juices dripping down his chin. He gives you puppy eyes like he wants to ask for ‘just one more time’ (aka ten), but instead asks if it was good.
۶ৎ With your hair a mess—drool dry on your chin and eyes glazed over as you stare into space—you feel like you don't even need to answer that yes, yes it was good.

SATAN
❥ Now with how much Satan reads, I seriously think he’s a romantic. At least some of those books have got to be romance novels that he can’t help but fantasize about recreating with you.
❥ Your first time together is nothing short of sweet. He wants to show that he loves you, with that passionate look in his eyes that tells you you’re in for a long night.
❥ He guides you through it with a gentle dominance, you on your back on the bed while he traces over your body like he wants to commit your form to memory.
❥ He’s the type to be genuinely insulted if you hide your sounds from him. He wants to be gentle with you for your first time, but he will play dirty and edge you until your sweet voice is begging for him.
❥ He wouldn’t make much noise himself since he wants to hear you, but would talk you through it the whole time.
❥ His low voice whispers encouragements in your ear, telling you to take it or asking if you want it faster, harder, whatever you need; your perfect boyfriend will provide.
❥ His aftercare is top notch, massaging ointments into your sore muscles and hand feeding you your favourite snacks like you were a monarch. Besides, with how you have him wrapped around your finger, you might as well be.

hi aaronnnnnnn😎
can you write the sully men smut having a reaction to those sex perfumes? ykwim?
like they already make humans feel weird but since na'vi noses are most likely more sensitive then i wanna know how they'd act.
male human reader btw 😋
Neteyam, Lo'ak, with pheromone "sex" perfume
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
male reader, mating cycle like symptoms, tails, sniffing, overprotectiveness, breeding, slight dirty talk, praise, begging, lo'ak prolly submissive idk, neteyam is dominant, accidentally going too hard, aftercare, big dicks, they're blue, idk, im hungry, belly bulges
Neteyam
— it really was just supposed to be a harmless joke. Back at the lab you had just seen it lying around and thought to use it, just to make him more clingy or something like that.
— today was a day you weren't in your avatar, so you just stayed in till you were needed or till neteyam would come by and he usually did.
— you had almost completely forgotten you had put that on, the little bottle long gone in the trash.
"Paskalin!" your body jolted with excitement as you heard his voice, the heavy footsteps echoing through your ears as you smiled seeing his big blue body in the corner of your eye.
"Teyam," the moment he stopped foot inside, he stopped for a second, pupils going full as his nose twitched, and tail swished around. You looked confused, looking at him a bit weird. Was he okay?
— he would brush it off, his smile at you toothy as he crouched down next to you to hear about your day. but the whole time you were speaking, his breathing which was steady, started to become heavy and unmatched. his ears pinned down to the sides of his skull, and his eyes fixated on any open part of your skin.
— his vision would be clouded from the smell alone, and his actual words would turn into 'mhm' and then into low growls. it wasn't his fault, it was the smell and it was coming right from you.
"Nete?" your words were muffled and sounded underwater to him, he could only understand the fact you wanted to see if he was okay. but he blinked and you were underneath him.
"Teyam— slow down!" his eyes darted around your body, his full length thrusting in and out of you at a quick pace. his dick was so wet..had he already came inside? he couldn't remember.
his head ducked down where the smell was strongest, his nose twitching once more as he sniffed your scented skin. bright yellow eyes rolling back, his ears quickly making a small flap motion— like a cats.
"Oh eywa.." he mindlessly thrusted inside of you making sure you were spread and he could reach all the way in there.
— you remembered only after that it was the stupid perfume.
Lo'ak
— most sensitive. eyes dilated, tail swishing around knocking almost everything over following you around like he had no idea what he was going to do without you.
— he would make the excuse that you were his boyfriend, and that he just wanted to be around you at all times, yet you knew the perfume kicked in as is. he was getting more possessive than usual, not wanting you to leave his side whether you had to do your job or not.
"Lo, you have to let me—"
"Uh-uh.."
"Lo'ak.."
— you caused this, so you were going to be the one to pay for it. he was allowed to stay on the little mattress next to your work space, but he couldn't stop whining and squirming around. you hadn't minded it, till you noticed his shadow looming above you. you were fucked, quite literally.
he laid beside you, eyes hooded and looking drunk. his hand underneath your knee to prop your leg up so he could fuck you right, and another above your stomach just for the purpose of feeling his girth make an outline on your stomach.
"Feel.." he whispered, so fixated on how deep he was inside of you. your noises encouraged him to go quicker, trying to make you feel as good as ever, to pleasure you as best as he could.
the little 'ah, ah, ah's' and the clenching around him made him go feral. his heart was pumping so quickly as he caught sight of your expressions, eyes slightly crossing and uncrossing, drool leaking just a bit.
he just needed to reach a liiiiittle bit more, just a tinnyyyyyy bit deeper inside. his head collapsed onto your shoulder, his hips bucking into you as he came deep inside to fill you up to the brim. his slightly blue tainted cum spilled from your hole, his breathing erratic.
his eyes glanced over to your dick, noticing you hadn't yet cum.
"not done."

You sleep long enough that, when you wake up, you have enough energy to cry.
It’s a big one. The kind of cry that threatens to turn your throat out, with how hard you sob. Alone in the cottage, far away from anything resembling civilization, you wail like wounded animal, choking on your own tears and mucus, losing track of your body buried underneath the covers—
But it happens at a remove. You watch yourself implode from someplace deep inside, not entirely sure why it’s happening at all—but long past trying to figure it out.
This is how it’s been for a while. There’s nothing special about it anymore. Nothing urgent. Most of the time, you are a blank space of a person, a vacuum where joy or rage or fear should be, but occasionally some maelstrom or another kicks up to fill it in, and your only course of action is to ride it out until it ends.
You’ve stopped trying to fix it. And you’ve stopped hoping anyone else can, either.
So you cry, until at last, you’re empty again. Or you’re too tired to continue. The difference is negligible, but functionally irrelevant. Once it’s done, you get out of bed.
The pressure in the shower is as weak as Johnny reported, but the water is indeed warm when you turn it on; you stand naked under the flow, arms hanging at your sides.
The day stretches itself out before you with nothing to occupying it, just as you’d planned. Nothing to work towards; no effort to put forward. Nothing, thanks to your choice of locale, to feel guilty about not seeking out.
A day of peace and utter quiet.
Suddenly—violent banging, somewhere in the cottage. It startles you; you jump so sharply at the noise that you smack your wrist on the soap caddy attached to the shower wall. The banging comes again—annoyed, you realize with no little bemusement that someone is at the front door.
You wrap yourself in a towel and hobble out of the bathroom to answer it, a piece of your mind on your tongue, dart-shaped and ready to fly—
Of course it’s Johnny.
Johnny, big and burly in a sweater, kilt, and pelt once again, two paper cups balanced in one large hand and a grocery bag hanging from the other. Whose dark brows shoot up his forehead as his eyes travel with surprise, and blatant appreciation, down the dripping length your body.
“Well, good mornin’, bonnie,” he purrs.
“What,” you grunt. A cold breath of wind chooses that moment to force its way through the door, gasping across the shower water still running in rivulets from your hair to the rolled edge of your towel. Goosebumps erupt from your bare skin in millions of simultaneous pinpricks—you flinch bodily at the chill.
“Ah, hell’s bells, don’t just stand there,” Johnny says, following the wind. “It’s freezin,’ go on, let me get in, hurry.”
You let him step inside, for some reason, and he shuts the door behind him with the heel of his boot. He wastes no time after that, heading to the kitchen to set down his things.
“Brought breakfast!” he says cheerfully. “There’s this bakery on Barra I thought you’d like, fresh doughnuts and coffee. Dunno how you take yours, but there’s sugar in the pantry and cream in the fridge.”
“I don’t want breakfast,” you say.
“What? ‘Course you do. I’m no’ takin’ you seal-watchin’ on an empty stomach.”
He starts unpacking the grocery bag and setting things on the counter while your jaw hangs open. Several things occur to you to say—I never agreed to that and what the hell is wrong with you, for starters—but your stomach growls at him before you can. The aroma of fresh-baked pastry wafts through the kitchen when he opens one box, and he turns to grin at you, cheeks dimpling.
“Do you get dressed, bonnie,” he says. “It’ll still be here when y’get back.”
It is less polite than he perhaps intends it to be, given that his gaze travels appreciatively across your bare shoulders. You cross your arms fruitlessly over your chest and, nothing else for it, retreat to the bedroom, feeling his eyes on you the whole way.
You return to the kitchen after having pulled on wool leggings and the same fleecy sweater from the day before. Johnny, one hip set against the counter, has a cup of steaming coffee in one hand and a half-eaten cruller in the other, crumbs at the corner of his mouth.
“Got anythin’ heavier?” he asks around a chewed-up mouthful. “Gets cold out there.”
You look down at his bare calves, broad and taut and covered in a down of dark hair. “You seem alright.”
“I’m used to it,” he says, shrugging—the muscles flexing under your gaze.
You purse your lips. “I don’t have anything.” You hadn’t intended to leave the cottage overmuch.
You approach the counter. Johnny does not move a centimeter, forcing you to stand close as you pick through the two boxes of doughnuts and feel the body heat radiating off of him, displacing the scent of fried dough with his musk.
“That’s all right,” he says. You’re close enough to hear the way his voice hums deep in his chest. “I can keep you warm.”
You snatch a plain glazed from the box and take two very large steps away from him. The hair on the back of your neck lifts as you press against the sink behind you. If he notices your reaction, it doesn’t seem to bother him in the slightest—he lifts the cup to his lips and drinks, eyes sliding closed with simple, obvious pleasure, dark lashes curling against his cheek.
You take the brief respite from his gaze to stare at him. In the morning light, on a full night of sleep, you can almost believe that whatever you’d seen in him yesterday had been nothing more than a misfire of exhausted synapses. An overlay of a dream; a circadian prompt to rectify nearly seventeen hours of sleeplessness. Youd been cold, and tired, and hungry. That was all.
You bite down on your doughnut, not really tasting it. The nerves along your spine twitch and contract around the memory of his flashing gaze.
His eyes open again, and he smiles at you. “Good?” He flicks a look at the single bite you’ve taken, looks at your mouth, and then waits for your reply.
“It’s fine,” you grumble. Then, “How did you get here? I didn’t hear the truck drive up. Do you live close by?”
“Sometimes,” he says. He looks pleased that you’ve asked, that you’re interested at all, and you immediately regret inquiring. “Live on a boat, me. Moored in the cove right now.”
“A…boat,” you say.
“Aye.” A wisp of dark hair, something he must have missed when he gelled his mohawk this morning, flutters as he nods. “Nice and cozy. Not as grand as all this, mind.” He gestures around with coffee and doughnut at the less than five hundred square feet of the cottage. “But it’s still a sight nicer than some other places I’ve slept.”
He’s likely hinting at his military service. “Okay,” is all you say, unwilling to entertain it.
He smirk—undeterred. “We’ll take her out once you’re ready.”
“I never said I was going.”
Dark brows lift. “Got somethin’ else planned for today?” he asks, incredulous, as if he never imagined you wouldn’t want to hang out with him.
“No, I—”
You wrack your brain. You have no intention of explaining to this complete stranger that the last thing you’d wanted to do, when you booked this trip, was really anything at all—and in fact, you hadn’t even considered that that might be something anyone else would care much about.
Much less proactively address.
“No,” you repeat, sulking.
Johnny considers you, chewing. His eyes do not stray, this time, to places they don’t belong; but there’s an insight to them. A sharp awareness. A perception in his gaze that is just as undressing, as if whatever is going on with you is visible to the naked eye.
“I figure,” he says, slowly, as if to coax, “you put your wee shoes on, an’ I’ll pack this back up, and we take it along.”
“You don’t have to do this,” you grouse. “I don’t need you to, like—be my tour guide.”
“Aye, but that doesnae mean I don’t wanna,” he retorts, smiling.
He shoves the last bite of cruller in his mouth and gazes patiently at you as he works it with his jaw, the muscles flexing along his temples as he chews.
Exhaustion, your constant companion, stares you down alongside him. It would take so much more energy to fight him than to go along with whatever he has planned. Energy you just don’t have anymore. And going along doesn’t mean you have to pretend to enjoy yourself—it’s not like you care enough about Johnny’s self-esteem to conjure up a happy face to show him.
You can go, and be a bitch about it, and once you do maybe he’ll realize you’re not at all worth the effort he’s making, and then finally leave you alone.
“Fine,” you say, which is how you end up on a fishing trawler headed south toward, ostensibly, a colony of breeding seals.
It’s an old vessel—that much is obvious. Its edges and corners are dull with the passage of time and constant maintenance, scuffed by innumerable passes-over with cleaner and cloth. Mildew competes with the aroma of fresh varnish as Johnny leads you onto the bridge, which is mercifully closed in from the ocean wind.
The interior is mostly wood of a warm, orangish variety—you can’t tell if that’s a decision made with aesthetics or function in mind. The space comprises a kitchen, surprisingly well-appointed with a stove, sink, countertop, and fridge, and a small sitting area with both couch and booth seating. Surrounding windows allow in the grey light of the morning.
“Bought it off an old bloke on Lewis,” Johnny says, taking his place at the wheel, which is in a little alcove off the kitchen.
If you’d thought steering a boat would have curtailed his chatting, you’d have been wrong—he seems to have no trouble with that and talking, incessantly, at the same time, as he pulls the vessel away from the cove and into the open water.
“All his family moved to the mainland, he told me, an’ this is after generations fishin’ these islands, even makin’ it through the Clearances! No money in it anymore, he said, not like you could make in some office somewhere countin’ someone else’s money.” He checks something on the dashboard in front of him, but it doesn’t distract him for long. “Held on for a while, but people just kept leavin,’ an’ he was gettin’ too old to go out on his own. Got such a good price on it, I think he was just happy someone else was gonna take up the tradition.”
“Did he sell you the cottage too?” you ask, and then dig your nails into your wrist for encouraging him.
“Yup,” he says. “No one else wanted it, but me? I saw somethin’ special about it.”
He turns to smile at you—no doubt pleased you made the connection. You avert your gaze.
“Imagine someday I’ll have my own family here,” he continues. “Good place for it. Nice and slow, not like city living. Can hear yourself think out here. Perfect place to have a few wee ones.”
“If people stop leaving,” you mutter.
He turns to you again. “I’m no’ worried about that,” he replies. He’s still smiling. “You came here, after all.”
You have nothing to say to that.
The trip is a short one—Johnny brings the trawler alongside an island he informs you is called Mingulay, a square mile smaller than Vatersay’s tiny dot in the North Atlantic. Unlike the latter, he says, this island has not been inhabited since 1912, and has been completely reclaimed by the ocean and its wildlife.
After he drops anchor offshore, Johnny disappears down a steep flight of stairs below deck, which he had not offered a tour of, and emerges a short time later with a large, bulky coat.
“Didn’t I tell you?” he says proudly, holding it out by the shoulders. “Here, turn ‘round.”
You pause in the middle of reaching for it. You don’t know exactly why you comply—it occurs to you that if you grabbed for the jacket, he could simply not let go of it, and you would end up exactly where he wants you anyway. So you lower your arm and, resigned, give him your back.
He steps up behind you. Warmth pours off of him, more than you think any human body should be able to generate.
You hear him inhale, deeply, as he brings the jacket to your back. As you slide your arms into the sleeves, you feel his exhale on the nape of your neck, teasing through individual follicles of hair.
“There w’go,” he murmurs, much closer than you expected.
You can hear the low hum of his voice in his chest; his hands linger on your shoulders far longer than they need to, heavy, big enough that his index fingers brush along your collarbones.
When his hands make to slide down your back you step away from him and fumble to zip the jacket up; he chuckles lightly behind you. When you turn to face him, his lips are curled—smug.
“Alright then,” he says. “Let’s get out there.”
Tumblr media
He rows the two of you to shore in a small kayak, two pairs of binoculars in your lap as you huddle away from the wind. You’ll be walking to the haul-out, he says—getting too close to the breeding grounds, which he calls a rookery, would spook them, possibly causing a stampede.
“It’s grey seals we’re gonna see,” he explains as the two of you pick your way across the rocky landscape. “Not the biggest haul-out you could see, some colonies get into the thousands, but we’ll have it all to ourselves.”
He insists on taking your elbow every time the two of you cross particularly uneven terrain, even though you don’t need it. You think he takes your attempts to shake him off as proof of your lack of balance, because he grasps you all the tighter every time.
“I’m not a child, Johnny, I can walk on my own,” you finally snap at him.
“Just bein’ a gentleman, bonnie,” he replies nonchalantly. He does not let you go.
As you get closer, you hear the seals before you see them, and when their voices reach you across the open island, you stop dead.
Groaning, grunting, hissing in a cacophonous chorus. Some part of your hindbrain double-takes, reshuffles itself—some ancestral instinct always on the lookout for predation. If you’d been given a chance to guess what a colony of mating seals might have sounded like, you’re not sure you could have guessed what they sounded like.
Certainly not like what you hear now—
Like people.
Johnny grins at you when he notices. “Aye, it’s a right ruckus, innit?”
He leads you up a small rise, where he has the two of you settle belly-down over the machair to overlook the wedge of rocky coast that the colony has claimed for its own.
And when you finally see it—it’s underwhelming.
Perhaps two hundred long, fat bodies, in varying shades of brown and grey, lay indolently along the rocks, in groups of three or four, some heavily galumphing from one place to another while others roll occasionally from side to side. The shifting winds catch their scent and blow it uncaringly into your face; you nearly gag at the admixture of dead fish and ammonia.
It doesn’t escape you that this is a rare thing to witness; you are not wholly immune to the fact that you are only a hundred meters away from something most people only encounter on a screen. It’s just that without a swell of awed music in the backdrop, or a narrator’s breathless wonder at the miracle of pinniped life, what’s left for you to observe is a population of wet, stinking animals, shitting where they lay, vocalizing without cease while they laze about doing basically nothing.
Johnny does not seem to notice your disillusionment; he hands you one pair of binoculars, and directs your attention to activity along the shoreline. You follow to where he’s pointing; one larger seal is hassling a smaller one, which snarls at the aggressor as it thrashes around with its substantial bulk.
“Little one there—” Johnny says, “that’s a female, probably obvious. Big one knows she’s ready to mate, can smell it on her.”
The female bares her teeth and lunges at the bigger male, which flinches back but holds his ground.
“Doesn’t look like she agrees,” you mutter.
“She’s just givin’ him a hard time. She’s all in heat, see? Just makes her cranky,” Johnny says. You feel his eyes on you, and lower your binoculars to look at him. “She’s got to fight to feel all in control.”
You flush. “Right.”
“You don’t think so?”
“No,” you say. “He’s—he’s just bothering her.”
He gazes at you for a moment, contemplative. Corners of his mouth quirking upward. He does not reply for a long moment, long enough that you have to avert your gaze from his.
“Nah,” he finally says, and you don’t think you’re imagining the low, sultry note in his voice. “She wants it bad as he does.”
You scowl, uncomfortably perceived, and return your binoculars—the pair is still facing off, gurgling and growling at each other. The female is slim, almost sleek, unlike most of the other seals populating the rookery.
“Is she sick?” you ask.
“Hm? Oh, no, she’s alright. The mums lose a lot of weight when they nurse. Takes three weeks, and they don’t eat in the meantime.”
“Jesus.”
“Be nice if the dads ever brought ‘em a bite, aye?” Johnny agrees. “Deadbeats, the lot of them.”
The two of you survey the colony in silence for a moment. As the morning wears on, the cloud covering thins overhead, allowing cool sunlight to filter through. The temperature doesn’t rise in response; begrudgingly, you tug Johnny’s jacket a little tighter around you.
Then, suddenly, his hand lands on your back, between your shoulder blades.
“Got some pups over there,” he says. “Look, by the kelp.”
You find them; smaller bodies, white dinged with wet sand and dirt, lounge near their mothers or wriggle with aimless difficulty. They’re fluffy and round as plush toys, with shining black eyes and noses, and once Johnny’s pointed them out you can differentiate the higher, sweeter pitch of their cries from the overall cacophony.
“Sometimes,” Johnny murmurs, “search and rescue’ll get called out because someone thought they heard a baby crying. Some kid stranded or lost, right? Turns out to be a baby seal.”
“That’s kind of scary,” you say.
“Aye,” says Johnny. “Always makes me think that’s where the old legends come from, about seal people or mermaids.”
A small ways away, some of the mothers lay with their pups far into the surf, letting the waves break over them. You watch as one mother thunks her large head overtop of her pup’s as the water rushes toward them; the pup wriggles, and then, as the wave engulfs them, it begins to thrash, whipping up a panicked froth.
“Time for swimming lessons already?” Johnny muses. “Seems early.”
You’re horrified. “She’s going to drown it!”
The hand still on your back pats you consolingly. “Just watch,” says Johnny.
The wave reaches as far up the shore as gravity allows, and then begins to recede. The pup’s thrashing calms as the air meets its face once again; the cow allows the pup to lift its head, and after a few sputters, the pup seems no worse for wear.
“They’re hardier than they look, bonnie,” Johnny says.
His hand, heavy and warm even over his borrowed jacket, slides down from your shoulders to your lower back, and then he rubs, slowly, side to side, as if to comfort you—but the knobs of your spine contract at his touch.
“Last of the births this season, looks like,” he says. “Mum’s getting ready to leave—probably not the only one.”
Something hard drops into your stomach.
“They leave their babies?” you ask.
“Aye. Once they’re done nursing, they mate, and then they go.”
You look back at the other cows with their pups. One baby has its muzzle to its mother’s belly, quivering and suckling, while she lays with her head on a patch of grass. She looks uninterested—more, she looks disinterested. As if how voraciously her pup is nursing has nothing much to do with her, and she’s bored of even having to think about it.
Bored—and already looking forward to the next part of her life without a baby in it.
“That’s horrible,” you say.
“They’re solitary animals, bonnie,” Johnny says, not ungently. “The only time they’re really all together is for this.”
A line tightens between your stomach and throat, and you feel it start to build between your ribs. A tremor—foreshocks. The wind picks up, bringing a sharp chill off the ocean and up the rise that cuts into your stinging eyes, abrades the naked skin of your hands and the exposed part of your neck.
When you look through your binoculars again, you wonder how many of the pups you see have already been abandoned.
“Aw, bonnie,” Johnny says. There’s a kind of pity in his voice that has your hackles raising.
“I want to leave,” you say, yanking away from his touch and shuffling down the incline. “Take me back to the cottage.”
“Bonnie, it’s okay!” Johnny protests, rolling to his back to look at you as you stand. “The pups make it, they figure out how to fend for themselves.”
You glare at him, vision blurring. “All of them?”
Some part of you knows you’re being irrational—knows that nature is a cruel home, and that many children face worse fates than the seal pups. Abandoning the young, the needy, is no aberration; it is, in fact, far more the standard than the human practice, which lingers for decades—
Most of the time.
Johnny has no response. He holds your angry gaze, brows drawn low, mouth pressed into a thin line. It’s the first time that cocky aura, which seems to rest in every fine line on his face and every angle at which he holds his body, is completely absent.
He isn’t reflecting your anger back at you, though—he’s internalizing it. Letting it hit him, you think, and trying to use it to figure you out.
You do not want to be figured out.
You scoff again. “Take me back,” you repeat, and then you start walking in the direction you came, without waiting for him to follow.
Tumblr media
Johnny drops you off in the cove, and thankfully does not linger this time before he departs—he bids you farewell after rowing you to shore, contemplation on his face, and then leaves you to yourself.
You retreat, seeking the cottage’s empty quiet.
As you perch on the couch you listen to the radiator hum—the wind blow over the reeds in the thatch roof—your own heart beating a drum in the arteries of your neck.
Percussive. Quick and hard. Like heavy knockers on a door. Pounding as if to burst through.
You realize you’re still wearing Johnny’s jacket, and you throw it off, disgusted with yourself. You get up and pace, and try to ignore it lying in a heap on the floor.
You do something you swore you wouldn’t do the moment you set foot on the island—you turn your phone back on.
True to Johnny’s word, there’s no signal. You picked this island, this part of the world, for a reason; for the past several years, a slow exodus from the British isles has vacated the need for dedicated cell towers or satellite or internet access, especially given that the only ones who remain are too old now to want it or need it or know how to use it.
It’s isolated. Cut off. Left behind by anyone with better options, and only clung to by those trying to preserve the only way of life they know.
Some kinder part of you belongs with that demographic; the part that was telling your mother the truth, before getting on the plane.
The rest of you holds your phone up and starts walking around.
In the furthest corner in the bedroom, you find a single bar of signal. A tiny chip of connectivity—a thin, frayed thread. Something you lied to yourself about cutting.
It’s a weak connection. Unstable. It could take a while—you stand there, waiting.
The screen dims. You tap it again.
Blank.
You unlock it, look through your apps. Wonder if maybe your notifications are bugged by your new SIM card.
Nothing—
No one.
You whip around and, with a cry, pitch the thing at the far wall—it hits the stone with a crunch, falling to the floor in pieces.
You’re out of the cottage then in a mad dash, door slamming behind you, driving yourself back into the wind. Far away—you want to be far away, far from everything, so far that nothing could possibly reach you. You trudge down the path toward the beach, banding your arms across your chest, shivering in the cold, and yet you hardly feel it.
Not worth it. No point. Waste of your time. Energy. All of it. Stop trying. Stop wanting. Nothing. Nothing. You want nothing.
You’re halfway down to the shore, not really knowing what you’re going to do when you get there, when you catch sight of a body on the sand.
You gasp, a sharp breath down your larynx, and freeze in a dead halt.
The body is completely still.
A swimmer? A diver? It’s dark, like it just pulled itself out of the ocean—or washed up—
Then, it moves. A twitch, a ripple across its bulk, and your chest rapidly decompresses.
A seal. It’s a large seal, lounging alone on the beach.
You stand motionless. You’re very close—much closer than you and Johnny had been at the rookery. You hadn’t contended with the sheer size of the animals, tucked safely up and away from them, but there is no illusion of distance now.
It’s the biggest one you’ve seen today, you’re sure of it. Bigger, you think, than most adult men. Its pelt is a riot of every shade of grey, splashy, like liquid paint thrown across a canvas. Black speckles scatter overtop of marbled white and cool slate, and down the center of its back is a broad, dark line, soft at the edges, which reaches all the way up to the top of the seal’s head.
The bull—it must be male—turns over. It lifts its head, and opens its eyes—
Fear suddenly zips up your spine as it looks right at you.
You stumble backward and trip on your own feet, landing hard on your ass. Johnny’s care with keeping enough distance from the colony rushes back to you, along with the warring couple’s bared teeth.
They can’t move that fast on land, right? They aren’t interested in people, right?
You scramble backward. It’s so much bigger than you ever would have imagined. If it got to you—threw itself over you—it could crush you with its weight alone—
The bull watches you placidly. Unperturbed.
You pause.
Its small eyes are dark and glossy—watchful and focused. The whiskers on its muzzle twitch a little as it takes you in. It breathes, deeply and evenly, huge body expanding and contracting at a slow, calm tempo. Its—his—nostrils flex, widening and narrowing, as he blinks docilely.
Unafraid.
If anything—curious.
Then he snorts, and wriggles in place. It startles a laugh out of you, more reaction than humor. Still watching you, the bull lowers his head back down, resting it again on the sand.
Your heartbeat abates. He doesn’t move again—nor does his attention leave you. Slowly, you sit up.
Wary. No sudden movements.
He doesn’t react; only continues to watch you.
You draw your knees up. Wrap your arms around your shins, and dust a bit of sand from your leggings. Rest your chin in the crevice between your knees.
There’s an intelligence in the bull’s eyes that is fathoms deep. There is a massive gulf between his experience of the world and yours, millennia of evolution separating your species from his—and yet…as you hold his gaze, you recognize the look in it.
Him, seeing you. And seeing you see him. The pendulum swinging between awareness of each other, and recognition of that shared awareness.
An empty space in the cloud cover passes overhead; sunlight touches the earth, warms it briefly before disappearing again. You wonder a little why this bull isn’t with the other seals.
Johnny would probably know.
“I didn’t come for you, you know,” you grumble at him.
The seal blinks. Awareness notwithstanding, you don’t share any language.
You sigh. “I guess you didn’t come to see me either,” you say.
But you don’t move away.
And you stay like that for a long while, you and he—regarding each other as the wind breathes out across the shore.

Sweat clung to your brow as you stepped into the training room, its atmosphere oppressive and bathed in a dim crimson glow. The walls, which were made of steel, echoed with every movement. Scuffed mats covered sections of the concrete floor, marked by years of punishment from brutal sparring matches. Ambient heat radiated from flickering red lights overhead, casting jagged shadows that seemed to ripple with every movement. It wasn’t an ideal space for training, but Zaun didn’t do luxury, and neither did Ambessa.
Ambessa’s voice rang out from the elevated platform at the far end of the room, her piercing gaze fixed on the two of you. “Again,” she ordered, her tone sharp enough to cut through the humid air. “Don’t hold back this time. You’re wasting my time if you’re not going to make her bleed.”
Resentment prickled under your skin, but you bit your tongue. Ambessa’s presence had been the only thing keeping you in this hell of an assignment. Training Sevika for an underground tournament had sounded ridiculous when the offer first came to you. Why would a battle maiden brute like her need anyone’s help. But Ambessa had insisted, claiming your expertise was “essential” to Zaun’s victory. She wouldn’t take no for an answer.
Sevika stood in front of you, her large frame coiled with tension. Her metal arm glinted under the lights as her breathing stayed steady. Her gaze looked betrayed with annoyance. She wasn’t thrilled about being told what to do, let alone by you. The feeling was mutual. “You ready for another bruising, princess?” Sevika taunted, cracking her knuckles.
Rolling your eyes, you dropped into a fighting stance. “Keep talking, and I’ll make sure your metal arm isn’t the only thing out of commission.”
Her grin was predatory. “Such big words for someone so small.”
The session resumed with a flurry of blows. Sevika lunged first, her movements quick despite her size. You ducked under her swing, your fist connecting with her side. The impact barely fazed her, but it was enough to get her attention. She retaliated with a sweeping kick, forcing you to leap back to avoid losing your footing. The clash of flesh and metal echoed in the room as the two of you exchanged blows, your mutual irritation fueling every strike.
Sevika was too strong to take head-on. So you relied on precision and agility, darting around her strikes and aiming for weak spots. But Sevika wasn’t stupid. She adapted quickly, her strikes coming faster and more calculated. Her metal fist grazed your ribs at one point, and the shock of it made you stumble.
“Getting tired already, sweetheart?” she sneered, wiping the sweat from her brow with her forearm.
“Hardly,” you shot back, charging at her with renewed energy.
Your next strike caught her off guard. A perfectly timed uppercut sent her stumbling backward. You didn’t stop, delivering a swift kick to her midsection that knocked her off balance. She hit the ground hard, her body slamming against the concrete with a grunt. For a moment, the room was silent except for the sound of your ragged breathing.
“Stay down,” you said, wiping your hands on your pants.
But Sevika didn’t stay down. With a growl, she lunged at you like a wild animal. Her strength caught you off guard, and before you could react, she had you pinned to the cold floor. The impact knocked the air from your lungs, and you gasped as her full weight pressed against you.
Sevika’s metal hand gripped both of your wrists, pinning them above your head. Her other hand rested on your shoulder, keeping you firmly in place. You struggled, but her strength was overwhelming.
“Not so cocky now, are ya?” she panted, her voice low and dripping with satisfaction. Sweat dripped from her forehead onto your cheek, and the heat of her body seeped into yours.
“Let me up,” you growled, glaring at her.
Her lips curled into a smirk as she leaned closer, her face mere inches from yours. “Now why would i do that? You look good down there.”
Your pulse quickened, though you told yourself it was from exertion. “You’re enjoying this wayyyy too much.”
“Maybe,” Sevika admitted, her voice a husky whisper. “But I think you are too.” Her chest heaved with every breath, the fabric of her tank top clinging to her damp skin. The scent of sweat and iron filled the air, mingling with something deeper, something unspoken. Her gray eyes bore into yours, challenging you, daring you to say something, to do something. But neither of you moved. The world outside the training room seemed to fade, leaving only the two of you in this heat of a moment.
“You’re stronger than I expected,” Sevika muttered, her voice softer now. “Almost makes me want to keep you around.”
“Almost?” you shot back, your voice tight. “Guess I’ll have to try harder.”
Her smirk widened. “You can try, but you wouldn’t succeed.”
Ambessa’s voice cut through the moment like a blade. “Enough!” she barked, her tone sharp and commanding. “If you two are done flirting, we have a tournament to prepare for.”
Ambessa’s voice thundered through the training room before either of you had the chance to speak. “What in the hell is going on here?” Her presence filled the room instantly, her commanding tone freezing both you and Sevika in place.
Her boots clanged against the concrete as she strode forward, her towering frame illuminated by the dim red glow. Dressed in training gear, Ambessa looked more like a war goddess than a general with her broad shoulders and powerful arms on full display. A simple black sports bra wrapped tightly around her chest as her glistened abs catch the faint light.
“Off,” she barked, her sharp gaze locking on Sevika.
Sevika, who rarely flinched at anything, hesitated for a split second before pulling back. Her expression was tight with frustration, but she obeyed, releasing your wrists and standing. The loss of her warmth was immediate as the cold floor pressed against your back.
Ambessa stepped in without missing a beat, gripping Sevika’s arm and pulling her upright effortlessly. “Do you think this is some kind of game?” Her voice was low, dangerous, as she squared off with Sevika.
Sevika yanked her arm back, her jaw tightening. “She hit me. I hit her back.”
“You pinned her like a street brawler,” Ambessa snapped, her voice cutting through the charged air. “This isn’t some tavern scuffle. You’re supposed to be training, not rolling around like a fool.”
“She’s the one who pushed me,” Sevika shot back, her chest heaving as she stepped closer. The heat in her gaze didn’t waver, and the muscles in her arms flexed with tension.
Still lying on the ground, you watched the two women square off, rooted in place by the sheer energy between them. Ambessa’s imposing frame radiated authority, her dark eyes blazing, while Sevika bristled like a cornered beast, her fists clenched tightly at her sides.
“Pushed you?” Ambessa’s voice dropped to a near growl. She took another step forward, her tone mocking. “What are you, a child? You’re supposed to be stronger than this.”
“Maybe if you didn’t bark orders from a balcony, you’d see how this fight actually went,” Sevika bit back, her voice dripping with venom. Her muscles tensed beneath the fabric of her tank top, the strain of holding back her frustration evident in every line of her body.
Ambessa’s laugh was sharp and humorless, cutting through the suffocating air. “Careful, Sevika. You’re one poorly thrown punch away from losing that metal arm.”
Sevika’s lips twisted into a snarl, her voice rising as she stepped into Ambessa’s space. “And you’re one more order away from learning I don’t take kindly to being treated like a damn pawn.”
Every word exchanged felt like a spark, each one igniting the fire between them further. You remained where you were, watching from the ground as the red lights painted their figures like some living, breathing battle scene.
Ambessa tilted her head slightly, her piercing gaze narrowing. “You think this is about you?” she asked, her voice quiet but filled with dangerous intent. She took a step closer, the heat from her body palpable even from where you lay. “You’re nothing without me. You wouldn’t have that arm, that strength, or this opportunity. So don’t test me, Sevika.”
For a moment, Sevika didn’t respond, her jaw tight as her gaze flickered to the floor before locking onto Ambessa again. Then, like a wave breaking, the anger in her expression shifted into something more intimate replacing it.
“Nothing without you?” Sevika’s voice dropped, her tone low and measured, sending a shiver down your spine. “You think you own me because you gave me this?” She raised her metal arm, flexing it deliberately. “Don’t fool yourself. I’ve earned every inch of what I am.”
Ambessa didn’t back down, stepping even closer until their chests were nearly brushing. “Then prove it. Because right now, all I see is someone too stubborn to recognize when they’re being tested.”
The air between them shifted. Their breathing was heavy, their bodies so close you swore you could see the tension vibrating between them. Ambessa’s hand raised slightly, and for a second, you thought she might push Sevika, or worse, strike her. But her fingers caught the strap of Sevika’s tank top instead, her grip firm.
“You talk about earning it,” Ambessa said, her voice softer now, her words dripping with sharpness. “But have you earned this?”
Sevika didn’t flinch, though her chest rose and fell faster, her gray eyes locked onto Ambessa’s dark ones. “I’ve earned more than you think,” she said, her voice just as quiet, though there was a slight tremor. The aggression in Sevika’s stance softened, though her muscles remained taut, her body coiled and ready. Ambessa’s imposing presence didn’t falter, but the edge in her gaze dulled ever so slightly.
“You’re reckless,” Ambessa murmured, her fingers still resting against Sevika’s shirt.
“Tyrant bitch,” Sevika shot back, though there was no bite to her words.
They were so close now, their tension-filled standoff transforming into something you couldn’t quite name. You should’ve looked away, should’ve gotten up and interrupted, but you couldn’t. The sight of them, Ambessa’s glistening abs under the red lights and Sevika’s tank top clinging to her damp skin. It was mesmerizing.
The sparring session between Ambessa and Sevika had turned into a spectacle of raw power and dominance. The two women circled each other, muscles taut and glistening under the red light as they calculated their next moves. The tension in the room was almost unbearable, the charged atmosphere making it impossible to look away.
Sevika lunged first, her movements swift. Ambessa parried with ease, her stature and experience giving her the upper hand. The clash of their bodies reverberated through the room, their strength evenly matched, though Ambessa carried herself with an effortless grace that only came from years of battle.
Whereas, you sat on the couch in the corner with your legs crossed and your hands gripping the cushion tightly as you watched. The intensity between them was magnetic, and you felt heat creeping up your neck as you took it all in. The way Ambessa’s muscles shifted with every movement, the sheer power in her strikes. It was impossible not to admire her.
Sevika grunted as Ambessa caught her wrist mid-strike, twisting her arm behind her back in one fluid motion. “You’re too easy to predict,” Ambessa said, her voice low and laced with authority.
Sevika growled, twisting to free herself, but Ambessa didn’t let go. Instead, she pinned Sevika’s arms together, holding them in place with one hand. The strength in that single motion was enough to make your jaw drop. You could see the flex of her biceps, the veins on her forearm standing out as she kept Sevika completely immobilized.
You swallowed hard, feeling your cheeks flush. It wasn’t just the display of power that made your stomach flip, it was the way Ambessa looked doing it. She was in complete control, her eyes burning with determination.
Ambessa leaned in close, her lips brushing against Sevika’s ear. Whatever she whispered was too quiet for you to hear, but the way Sevika’s ears turned pink told you enough. Sevika was blushing. Their breathing was labored, their chests pressed against each other in a way that blurred the lines between aggression and intimacy. They were similar in height and strength that it was hard to tell who had the upper hand, though Ambessa’s control of the situation made it clear she was the dominant one.
You shifted uncomfortably, trying to ignore the way your body was reacting to the scene in front of you. The way they moved, the tension between them. it was impossible not to feel flustered. Your eyes flicked to Ambessa’s back, the muscles there flexing as she held Sevika in place, and then to Sevika’s jaw, clenched tightly in frustration.
And then, with a sharp motion, Ambessa threw Sevika to the ground. The impact echoed through the room, but before Sevika could recover, Ambessa straddled her waist, pinning her completely. Her hands pressed into the concrete on either side of Sevika’s head, caging her in.
For a moment, they just looked at each other. Ambessa’s gaze was piercing, and Sevika’s was equally defiant, though there was a flicker of something soft beneath her frustration. The proximity between them was almost suffocating, their breaths mingling as they stared each other down.
From your spot on the couch, you felt a pang of jealousy twist in your chest. You hated to admit it, but the sight of them like this: with Ambessa in complete control and Sevika pinned beneath her. You couldn’t deny what it made you feel. You were indecisive, whether you wanted to be in Ambessa’s place or Sevika’s.
Ambessa finally broke the moment, her head turning slightly in your direction. “Darling,” she called, her voice smooth and inviting.
Your heart skipped a beat. She rarely used that tone with you, and when she did, it always made your pulse race. You stood hesitantly, your legs feeling weak as you approached them.
“C’mere,” Ambessa said again, her eyes darkening as she watched you. You obeyed without question, moving closer until you were kneeling beside the two women. Ambessa shifted her attention back to Sevika for a moment, her thumb brushing against Sevika’s jawline before she finally let go of her. Sevika sat up slightly, her breathing still heavy as she stared at Ambessa, her lips parted as though she wanted to a near whisper. "Do you want her?"
The question hit you like a shit ton of bricks. Your eyes widened, and you quickly shook your head. "What? No, I-"
Ambessa tilted her head, a faint smirk playing at her lips. "Come on. there’s no need lie," she said, her voice soft but dangerous. "I've seen the way you look at her."
It’s true i-" you started, but your words caught in your throat as Ambessa leaned closer, her hand coming up to cup your chin.
"You can deny it all you want," she murmured, her thumb brushing against your lower lip. "But I already know the truth." Behind her, Sevika shifted, her eyes narrowing as she watched the interaction. Her gaze flicked between you and Ambessa, her jaw tightening as though she was trying to figure out what to make of the situation.
Ambessa's lips curved into a knowing smile as she let go of your chin, her hand moving to rest on your shoulder instead. "It's nothing to be ashamed of," she said, her tone almost teasing now. "Desire is a natural thing."
You felt your cheeks heat up, unsure of how to respond. Ambessa's gaze was unrelenting, and the weight of both her and Sevika's attention made your head spin.
"Still," Ambessa continued, her voice taking on a more serious edge, "you should know where your loyalties lie." Her words sent a shiver down your spine, and you nodded slowly. With the inability to tear your eyes away from her. The room was silent for a moment, the tension so thick it was almost suffocating. Sevika finally stood, brushing herself off and crossing her arms over her chest as she stared down at the two of you.
Ambessa smirked, leaning back slightly but still keeping her hand on your shoulder. "Oh, I'm counting on it," she said, her tone dripping with confidence.
As the two women exchanged another charged look, you couldn't help but feel caught in the middle of something bigger than yourself. And yet, you didn't want to be anywhere else.
Ambessa stood there, towering over both you and Sevika, her sharp gaze locked on Sevika's defiant stance. The tension between them was thick, electric, but then something shifted in Ambessa's expression. A sly smirk curved her lips, and before anyone could react, she leaned in and pressed her lips against Sevika's.
It wasn't a gentle kiss. It was intense, fiery, and utterly captivating. Sevika's eyes widened in surprise at first, but she didn't pull away. Instead, she matched Ambessa's energy, their mouths moving against each other with such a desire that made your heart pound. You couldn't tear your eyes away from the sight. The sound of their labored breaths and the faint growls of dominance filled the room. They kissed as if they were trying to conquer one another, neither willing to back down. Sevika's hand shot up, gripping the back of Ambessa's neck, her fingers curling into her short hair. While Ambessa's large hands found Sevika's waist, pulling her closer.
Your cheeks flushed as you watched, your mind racing. It was undeniably hot. You clenched your fists in your lap, trying to ignore the heat pooling in your belly as you continued to observe the exchange.
Ambessa's teeth caught Sevika's lower lip, tugging it slightly before she pulled back just enough to smirk. "Is that all you've got?" she taunted, her voice husky and breathless.
"Not even close," Sevika growled, surging forward to capture her lips again, this time with even more hunger.
You swallowed hard, your throat suddenly dry. The two women before you were locked in a battle of dominance, their bodies pressed so tightly together that it was hard to see where one ended and the other began. The red light from the room cast their silhouettes in an almost ethereal glow, accentuating the muscles in their arms and shoulders as they held each other.
You felt a pang of longing in your chest, wishing you could be part of that. Your eyes drifted to Sevika's lips. You imagined her pressing her lips against your neck. And then your gaze moved to Ambessa's hands, the thought of them holding you like that making your stomach flip.
You didn't realize you were pouting until Ambessa pulled back slightly from Sevika, her eyes flicking toward you. She chuckled lowly, her voice thick with amusement. "What's wrong, darling?" she teased, the pet name rolling off her tongue like silk.
You quickly looked away, embarrassed that she'd caught you. "Nothing," you muttered, though the heat in your cheeks betrayed you.
"Nothing, hm?" Ambessa stepped closer, leaving Sevika standing there looking both frustrated and dazed. She reached out, her hand brushing lightly against your cheek before trailing down to rest against your back. "I don't think I believe you."
Sevika, still breathing heavily, smirked as she noticed your reaction. "Looks like someone wants in on the fun," she said, her tone teasing but her eyes were dark. Your heart skipped a beat as Ambessa's hand pressed more firmly against your back, guiding you to your feet. "Join us.” she commanded softly, her voice leaving no room for argument.
You hesitated for only a moment before obeying, letting her lead you exactly where you wanted to be. Right inbetween the two of them. Her hand stayed firm against your back, her touch grounding yet electrifying.
"You've been watching like you want something," Ambessa murmured, her lips brushing against your ear as she spoke. "Well?"
"I..." You trailed off, unsure of how to put into words the mix of desire and anticipation swirling inside you.
"Shy now?" Sevika teased, stepping closer until her chest was nearly brushing against your back. She reached out, her calloused fingers tilting your chin up so you had to look at her. "Don't be."
The proximity of both women was overwhelming, their sheer size making you feel small and delicate in comparison. Ambessa's hands slid down to your hips, pulling you flush against her chest while Sevika's fingers trailed along your jawline.
"You're trembling," Ambessa noted with a smirk, her voice a low rumble against your back. "Are we making you nervous, darling?"
"I-i’m not nervous," you managed to say, though your voice betrayed you.
Ambessa chuckled, the sound vibrating through her chest and into your body. "Good," she said. "Because we're just getting started."
Before you could respond, Ambessa leaned down, capturing your lips in a kiss that was both commanding and intoxicating. Her hands tightened on your hips, holding you firmly against her as her lips moved against yours with expert precision.
You barely had time to process the kiss before Sevika's lips found the curve of your neck, her teeth grazing your skin in a way that sent shivers down your spine. The combination of their touches was almost too much to handle, and yet you craved more.
Ambessa pulled back slightly, her eyes dark with desire as she looked down at you. "Sevika," she said, her tone carrying a hint of command.
Sevika hummed in response, her lips still pressed against your neck.
"I think you want more," Ambessa said, a mischievous glint in her eye as she looked between you and Sevika.
Sevika smirked, her hand coming up to cup your cheek as she pressed a lingering kiss to your temple. "Then we shouldn't disappoint," she said, her voice low and full of promise.
As they both closed in on you, you couldn't help but feel excitement. Being caught between these two powerful women, their attention focused entirely on you, was a dream come true. And as their lips and hands began explored every inch of your body, you couldn’t resist.

a/n: Hi Anon! Thank you for your request. I am so sorry this has taken so long, life went kind of crazy for a second, but it's sorting itself out now! I hope you enjoy the drabble <3
Logan Howlett x TouchStarved!GN!Reader
CW: some mentions of jealousy, reader seems pretty anxious, just some good ole' fluff
Tumblr media
Watching how Scott and Jean held each other, or even how the kids would comfort one another, you could feel jealousy curling around your mind at the absentminded tenderness in every touch. You’d spend countless nights awake, craving the touch of another while you wrapped your arms around yourself, fingers pressing into your skin just to feel something.
It gnawed at you, quiet and constant, slipping into the quiet spaces of your mind when you were alone. You’d close your eyes and imagine what it might feel like to rest your head on someone’s shoulder, to let the warmth of another’s touch seep into your skin and quiet the restlessness within you. It was always fleeting, a memory of something you've only had in fleeting moments.
Then there was Logan. The brooding, gruff exterior everyone seemed to shy away from became your refuge. It started as fleeting touches, knuckles grazing against his when you walked, shoulders bumping when you sat together. Before you knew it, you found yourself constantly lingering in his presence, your touch becoming more purposeful. Tracing shapes into the palm of his hand during long meetings or leaning on his shoulder after a mission, his head resting on top of yours. It was rare for you to be seen far apart, the school knew you were bound to be nearby if Logan was around.
You’re not sure when it started, the constant burn beneath your skin only satisfied by his touch. You started finding ways to get him to touch you, asking for help with your hair or applying bandaids. Now, you stood before Logan with a bracelet in hand, feigning an excuse of needing help to put it on. You didn’t miss the way Logan notched a brow at your request, eyeing the bracelet he knows you’ve put on yourself countless times. You fiddled with the jewelry in your palm, gaze nervously darting around his face as a familiar pit forms in your stomach at his hesitation. A heartbeat later, Logan opens the door wide for you to enter, knuckles grazing as you pass him.
Logan’s fingers daftly inspect the jewelry before draping it over your wrist, each graze of his fingers deepening the blush on your cheeks. Your heartbeat pounded in your ears and from the smirk on Logan’s face, you had a feeling he could hear how it quickened.
“Why you always around me, bub?” Logan asks nonchalantly as he clasps the bracelet, fingers still ghosting over your arm.
You swallow, feeling the words catch in your throat as you search for a response. You hadn’t considered Logan noticing, much less him asking you outright. The question hangs in the air as his eyes search your face, something curious and unguarded in them. You struggle to find a response that doesn’t make you sound desperate and scare him off.
“I’m sorry I didn’t mean to,” You murmur, taking your arm away from his touch, clutching it to your chest as if to slow your racing heart. You look away, face burning beneath the weight of his gaze. “I’ll stop. Must be kinda creepy, constantly hovering around you.” You force a weak laugh.
A beat passes, the crushing silence presses against your chest, wrapping around you until each breath feels like a struggle. When you gather the courage to meet his eyes again, his expression has softened, the usual guarded look slipping. He shifts closer, bringing his face level with yours, and the intensity in his gaze holds you captive.
“Don’t do that,” Logan’s breath fans your face with each word, mouth inches from yours. “Ain’t nobody said I didn’t like it.” His words are rough, each one lifting a weight from your chest. His eyes dart away to study the floor as his cheeks flush a deep crimson. “Ain’t used to people hanging around this much but… I don’t mind so much with you.”
A pause before he shrugs as if trying to shake off the weight of his words. “Guess you don’t bother me as much as most folks do.” Logan straightens but doesn’t step back. His face remained aloof, but his cheeks were still rosy as vulnerability oozed from his gaze. “So quit worrying about ‘creeping me out.’ You’re good.”
Logan’s kind words curled around your heart, a smile gracing your lips as you look at him. “So what I’m hearing is you're saying I can bug you even more now?” You joke, nudging his shoulder.
He scoffs, dramatically rolling his eyes. “I wouldn’t push it, bub.”

Hihi....I'm really in love with your Yandere Phainon fanfics, so I wanted more....I don't really care whatever it is as long as it's in high school au🙏🙏

Yandere!Phainon x Reader
Tumblr media
The school tech lab was always quiet during lunch break. While others filled the courtyard and cafeteria with chatter and energy, you found solace in the rhythmic clack of your keyboard and the soft humming of a monitor. You had taken over the corner desk near the window, your own little bubble away from the chaotic social jungle of high school.
Your fingers flew over the keys, eyes darting across lines of code. The pixelated spaceship on your screen moved up, paused, then exploded with a dramatic “BOOM!” animation. You smiled a little, it was just a simple 2D space shooter, but you were proud of it. Debugging the collision algorithm had taken two days.
Outside the lab, you heard distant voices echoing down the hall.
“Dude, Phainon! You coming to the court or what?” “Later, maybe! I need to drop by the lab first.”
Phainon. Popular, charming, and surrounded by friends like gravity pulling planets. You’d only ever interacted with him during that one disastrous group project in sophomore year. You didn’t speak much. He did all the talking.
The door creaked open. Your screen still glowed with the tiny spaceship hovering in space.
“Yo, is someone in?”
You whipped your head up and saw him. He had one headphone in, his school tie loosened, hair a little messy.
He looked around, then spotted you.
“Hey, didn’t think anyone would be in here.”
“...Hi.”
He tilted his head toward your screen. “Wait, is that a game?”
You quickly moved the mouse to close the window, but not fast enough.
“Whoa, don’t shut it down!”
“It’s still buggy.” you mumbled, minimizing the program and locking your screen.
He leaned in, eyes lighting up.
“Wait, you made that? That’s sick.” He turned to look at you. “You’re seriously talented.”
You avoided his gaze, focusing instead on unplugging your USB drive.
“It’s just a hobby…”
Phainon chuckled. “‘Just a hobby’? You’ve got a whole game running. That’s way cooler than anything I’ve done today.”
This wasn’t how your quiet lunch break was supposed to go.
You stood up quickly, slinging your backpack over your shoulder, trying to gather your things.
“I need to go.”
“Oh. Wait, did I say something wrong?”
“No!” you said too fast, stepping back toward the door. “I just... have other stuff.”
He watched you retreat, a confused expression softening his features. Then he smiled again, tilting his head slightly.
“Hey, what’s your game called?” he called out as you reached the door.
“…It doesn’t have a name yet.”
He grinned.
“Let me know when it does.”
You tried to return to normal after that day in the lab.
No more coding during lunch breaks.
No more late stays in the tech room.
But Phainon didn’t understand and keep showing up everywhere you go.
“Hey! Game Dev!” he called out from across the school courtyard one afternoon, jogging to catch up with you.
You pretended not to hear him and quickened your pace.
He caught up anyway, effortlessly matching your stride. “You never told me more about the game.”
“I’m busy.”
“That’s cool. I can wait.”
You stopped in front of your classroom. “Don’t you have a fan club or a game to get back to?”
Phainon just gave you that stupid, easy grin. “Maybe. But I kinda want to see what happens next in your game.”
You didn’t respond. Just walked in, ignoring the snickers from a nearby group of girls.
It wasn’t just one or two people talking. You’d heard whispers in the hallways.
“Why’s he talking to them?” “They probably faked the whole ‘coding’ thing just to get attention.” “Didn’t they get rejected by Phainon or something?” “Creepy how they’re always alone, right?”
At first, it didn’t bother you. You were used to being left out.
But that changed when you stayed late one afternoon to grab your notebook and accidentally overheard something.
“Okay, but what if we just hire some expert to.. idk, download a virus on their computer or something?” “Ooh, or leak their browsing history or whatever. Even if it’s fake, no one’ll care.” “Right? Who’s gonna believe someone like that anyway?”
You backed away slowly.
You’d had enough.
That night, you didn’t sleep. Instead, you slipped on your headphones, pulled up a few proxies, and found the backdoor in their school Wi-Fi habits.
In two hours, you’d broken into their cloud storage and group chat backups. In four, you’d carefully rearranged screenshots, spliced audio files, and created just enough drama to make it seem like they were all talking behind each other’s backs.
You didn’t even upload them yourself. Just scheduled a timed drop via a burner account.
By Monday, the group was in ruins.
And you, finally, had silence.
Until Phainon found you again. This time, at the bike racks after school.
“Hey.”
You glanced up. “What.”
He held up a hand in surrender. “Not here to bug you about the game.”
You turned away. “Then leave.”
He didn’t.
“They deserved it, huh?”
He took a step closer. “You’re good. Real good. That’s not amateur stuff.”
You looked at him sharply. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“You didn’t deserve what they were doing. But...” He hesitated. “Just... don’t lose yourself in it, alright?”
You didn’t say anything. You didn’t have to.
“Next time someone comes after you… maybe let me know first.”
He turned and walked away, hands in his pockets, not looking back.
You never felt safe after the drop. Sure, no one came at you again, not publicly. But silence didn’t mean safety. Silence could be a trap.
And Phainon, despite everything, made you uneasy.
Why? Why was he so calm? Why did he know what you’d done?
That night, your fingers hovered over the keys. Your curiosity itched too loud to ignore.
You slipped past a few weak firewalls and into his cloud activity.
“...wait.”
The path you followed suddenly folded in on itself.
And you’d taken it.
You burned the scripts, cleaned the logs, wiped the trace tools—anything that might be tied to you. Anything he could use against you.
And when it was over, you sat in the dark for a long time. Cold sweat down your back.
The next day, he said nothing.
You watched him across the quad, laughing with his friends, sleeves rolled up, the same lopsided smile like he hadn’t laid a trap for you.
Maybe you were overthinking it.
So you did something stupid.
You pulled an old CD-R out of your drawer, labeled it in your tight, scratchy handwriting: [ TEST BUILD v2.6 — SPACEWAR ]
And the next morning, you caught him by the lockers.
“…Here,” you muttered, holding it out. “The game. Just a standalone version. I just thought you might want to test it.”
“You’re giving me the first build?”
“It’s just a test. You don’t—”
“I’m gonna play it tonight” he said. “I’m finishing it. No way I’m sleeping until I beat it.”
“It’s literally half-coded and full of bugs.”
“So am I,” he smirked. “Perfect match.”
You didn’t expect him to go that far.
Next morning, he walked into class with dark shadows under his eyes, hair messier than usual, hoodie half-zipped over his uniform.
“Hey,” he grinned. “I beat it. Twice.”
“Wait... You stayed up?”
“You said test it. I tested the hell out of it.” He nudged your arm. “Seriously, it’s awesome.”
You stared at him. Then laughed. You couldn’t help it. “You idiot. You could’ve just given me a bug report.”
“Nah. That’d be boring.”
You shook your head and turned away to hide your smile.
Later that night, at home, you sat down at your desk. Curiosity beat out caution.
You slid the same disc into your computer. It whirred softly.
[ SPACEWAR ] — Test Build v2.6
You clicked Start Game.
The opening sequence played—then flickered.
The background glitched. The pixels warped, briefly forming words in a distorted typeface:
"Hello, Player One."
Then the game resumed normally.
You yanked the disc out. Looked at the underside.
A low beep from your laptop made you jump.
You flipped the screen—the camera light was on.
For half a second. Then it shut off.
You stared at the reflection of yourself in the screen. And realized:
He gave you his disk.
You didn’t sleep that night.
The glowing reflection of “Hello, Player One” burned behind your eyelids every time you blinked. You’d covered the webcam, shut the laptop, and unplugged everything. But it wasn’t just paranoia this time—Phainon had done something, and you needed to find out why.
So the next morning, you waited outside the gym, watching him laugh with his usual crowd. He noticed you immediately, his smile slipped, and he walked over.
“You okay?”
“We need to talk. Alone.”
Phainon blinked. But he nodded.
You sat in the empty room, across from him at a table where morning light filtered through the blinds.
He leaned forward slightly. “So...?”
You looked him dead in the eye. “Why did you do it?”
He raised an eyebrow. “Do what?”
You pulled the disc from your bag and placed it on the table. “Why?”
Phainon leaned back, quiet for a moment. Then:
“You don’t remember me, do you?”
You frowned. “What?”
“Two years ago. National Coding Competition. You made that AI that learned player patterns in real time. I was in the same bracket—you crushed everyone.”
“You were there?”
He nodded. “You were the best person in the room. I admired you. Then you disappeared. I always wondered why.” He paused. “When I saw you here, I thought—maybe I could get to know you.”
“So you thought breaking into my computer was your idea of caring?”
He flinched slightly, guilt flickering behind his eyes.
“You invaded my privacy. You used something I made against me.” Your voice shook. “Don’t twist this into something noble.”
He sighed. “I just wanted to understand you. You’re brilliant, but you shut everyone out. I thought maybe if I got closer—”
“—by spying on me?”
There was a long silence.
“Didn’t you do the same? To those girls?”
You were speechless.
“I’m not saying they didn’t deserve it. But you didn’t talk to anyone. You handled it alone.”
That stung.
Your hands clenched under the table. “So now you’re saying we’re the same?”
He shook his head. “No. I’m saying we both did things we regret. Doesn’t mean I’m proud of it.” He looked at you. “I’m sorry. For crossing the line.”
“Stay out of my stuff.”
And you walked out.
The rest of the day, you ignored him. He didn’t try to talk to you. Not even once.
But the silence wasn't peace. It was pressure, thick and heavy. You couldn’t focus.
By lunch, you'd pulled up three transfer applications on your phone, but none of them felt like the right move. Running didn’t solve the problem, it just meant you’d keep running.
So instead, you started thinking differently.
If Phainon wanted to get close to you? Fine.
You’d make him hate it.
You listed ridiculous stuff maybe you could use against him:
Step 1: Code like a cryptid. Talk only in binary. Step 2: Constantly mention obscure operating systems and laugh when he doesn’t get it. Step 3: Bring spreadsheets of cat behavior patterns and pretend they’re “emotional simulations.” Step 4: Add him to a fake group project and send 3am emails titled “urgent patch notes.”
Your plan was almost working.
The constant 3 a.m. “patch note” emails. The random references to deprecated programming languages.
It should’ve been enough.
But he always came back.
You were exhausted.
So you went back to Plan Move Away. You re-opened the school transfer forms, actually filled out your personal statement, and left the tab open just in case.
And then, out of nowhere, Kaito happened.
You met him during a school lab module. He wore round glasses, always had cat-hair on his hoodie, and genuinely laughed at your dry jokes. Even better? He knew how to debug. You both ended up fixing an old RPGMaker horror build for fun and spent lunch breaks balancing variables and laughing over cursed enemy sprites.
He wasn’t dramatic. He didn’t hack your life. He was just... easy.
Which was why Phainon noticed right away.
He cornered you by the vending machines after school.
“So... That new guy.”
“His name is Kaito.”
“Cool... But I thought we were working on your game.”
You crossed your arms. “We were. Then you installed spyware on my hard drive.”
“I apologized for that.”
You didn’t budge.
“So you replaced me?”
“I didn’t replace anyone. Kaito’s just someone I can work with without needing to run background checks.”
He scowled. “So you don’t trust me.”
“Can you blame me?”
Phainon looked at you, searching for something. Then he took a step closer.
“Okay. Fine. Maybe I messed up. Maybe I made it weird. But I thought we were building something—together. I didn’t realize you’d hand the controller to some new guy and bench me.”
“Everyone deserves to code.”
That struck a nerve.
“Right.” His voice dropped. “But not everyone gets you.”
This was personal.
Which made it more complicated when, the next day, you came home, turned on your PC and noticed a new folder on your desktop.
“GAME_PATCHED_FINAL_no_KAITO”
And a note:
“If you're gonna replace me, you better fix the recursion loop. Or let me help.”
You stared at the screen, heat crawling up your neck.
You didn’t know if you were furious or impressed.
You had your code. You had your own project. You had Kaito now.
You went on without him.
You stripped your old game build clean, rewrote the framework, even changed the name. Burned all the folders that had anything labeled “v2.6” or “player_one.” You started fresh.
And Phainon? He kept his distance. At least physically.
Then came the mailbox.
It was a regular Thursday when you got home. You were stepping out of your shoes when your mom called from the kitchen:
“There’s something in the mailbox for you.”
You blinked. “Mail? As in—physical?”
“Yeah. Like the old days.” She chuckled. “Looks like a CD.”
You grabbed it, peeling back the envelope carefully.
Plain. No return address. Just one thing written in black marker on the CD’s surface:
“BOOT ME :)”
You rolled your eyes. “Really?”
Of course it was from him. The handwriting was unmistakably chaotic.
You weren’t stupid. You weren’t going to test this thing on your personal machine. Not after last time.
So you waited.
The next day during free lab hour, you sat down at one of the school’s clunky public PCs. You slipped on the headphones just in case it played audio.
The CD slid in.
[ Loading... Welcome Back, Player One ]
A single line of code glowing on a black screen:
function whyYouLeft { return “?”; }
Then the screen glitched again—and a video window opened.
It wasn’t anything dramatic. Just a shaky webcam video of Phainon in his messy room, sitting on the floor cross-legged.
“Okay. So, if you’re watching this… then I guess I broke like, ten privacy boundaries again. But I swear—this time, no access to your camera. Just... this.”
He scratched the back of his neck, looking sheepish.
“I don’t know why you pulled away. But I want to understand.” He looked at the disc. “I know I messed up. And maybe that scares you. Maybe you think people only get close to you because of your talent. Maybe you hate how I made it all messy.”
He looked up at the camera, eyes sincere.
“But it wasn’t about your code. Or the game. I wanted to know you. The person behind all that.”
He paused, then added quietly: “I miss being your Player Two.”
The screen turned black again.
You stared at the screen. The headphones still buzzed faintly in your ears with the silence that followed.
You didn’t eject the CD.
You just… sat there.
----
The hallway echoed with the soft shuffle of bags and the clatter of desks being dragged back into place. Students were peeling off one by one, some still laughing, some too tired to care. The bell had rung fifteen minutes ago, school was out, but you stayed.
Until it was just two people left in the room: You and Phainon.
He was halfway through zipping up his bag when he noticed you approaching.
He blinked, clearly surprised. “…Hey.”
“I watched the CD.”
Phainon straightened, instantly alert. “Yeah?”
“It was unnecessary.” you said dryly. Then paused. “But… I get it.”
He opened his mouth, maybe to defend himself, maybe to apologize again, but you raised a hand before he could.
“I’m not starting over with you. I’m continuing, with conditions.”
“You can join the project again,” you said firmly, “if you promise to stop doing stuff behind my back. Everything stays aboveboard.”
You added “Also, if we’re working together, you have to be civil with Kaito.”
“Kaito?” he repeated.
You nodded. “He’s part of this now. Whether you like it or not. I’m not removing him just because it makes you uncomfortable.”
“You want me to team up with someone who’s clearly trying to be me?”
“He’s not trying to be you.”
Phainon didn’t say anything for a moment. His fingers curled slightly around the strap of his bag.
“So that’s the deal?” he asked quietly. “Let you keep your new friend, and I get supervised access to your game like it’s a daycare pass?”
You shrugged. “If it bothers you that much, you don’t have to join.”
There was a tense silence between you.
“Fine,” he said, slinging his bag over his shoulder. “If that’s what it takes.”
You both left the room.
But the minute he walked into the golden hour light outside the school building, Phainon’s smile twisted into something else.
He had no intention of sharing.
Kaito was an obstacle. And Phainon knew exactly how to handle obstacles.
He didn’t need to hack anyone this time. Not when he had reputation.
He was a magnet in the school ecosystem - student rep, the guy everyone knew, the guy everyone liked. Popularity was a language, and Phainon was fluent.
He spoke to people in Kaito’s other classes. Casually dropped things like:
“You know that Kaito guy? Little… intense, right?”
Or:
“Hey, just a heads-up. He’s been engaging with some guys out of school these days. Kinda weird, don’t you think?”
Rumors ran faster than servers during a DDOS attack.
You didn’t notice it right away.
But the others started acting cold toward him. Like he was radioactive.
“Hey… did I do something? People’ve been acting weird.”
You frowned. “Weird how?”
Kaito hesitated. “I dunno. Just… off. Like they know something I don’t.”
Phainon acted perfectly normal the next day.
He brought snacks. He complimented your new UI layout. He laughed at your deadpan jokes.
Phainon never played fair.
It started with a casual invite. One that looked harmless on the surface.
Phainon leaned over your desk during your group’s usual project hour. “Hey,” he said. “There’s a match this weekend—finals. I’m playing.” Then he added, “You and Kaito should come. Y’know. Team bonding. Off-screen chemistry.”
Kaito, surprisingly, looked excited. “I’ve never been to one of your matches. Might be fun.”
For once, Phainon was asking.
So you said yes.
But plans changed.
Your part-time shift at the local computer shop ran long, someone brought in a corrupted hard drive and left in tears, and by the time you were done running diagnostics and fixing their system, the sun had already dipped behind the horizon.
You texted Kai.
[Sorry. Can’t make it. Tell me how it goes later.]
No reply.
You didn’t hear from him until the next morning.
Your phone buzzed with a single message:
From unknown number: “Your friend’s at City Medical. You should come.”
You nearly dropped your phone.
Kaito lay in the bed, right arm in a sling, a thin cut on his brow, bruises trailing the side of his cheek. His glasses sat on the tray next to him, bent out of shape. He was asleep when you walked in.
Phainon was sitting beside the bed.
He glanced up when you entered.
“Hey.” He stood slowly, brushing imaginary dust off his sleeves. “Didn’t expect you so early.”
“What happened?”
“It was an accident. During the second half, he tripped—took a bad fall.”
You stared at him. “He doesn’t even run. Why was he even on the field?”
“He got a little too excited. Honestly, I tried to wave him back.” He looked at the bed again. “Poor guy. Probably got caught up in the moment.”
But… the whispers had already started at school. You heard them in the hallways, snippets like:
“I heard that nerd wasn’t watching the game rules.” “Why was he even on the field?” “Guess he wanted attention.”
It was already being spun. And no one could prove it otherwise.
You sat quietly in the chair by Kaito’s side once Phainon left. Your eyes didn’t leave the steady rise and fall of his chest.
With Kaito out of the picture, it was just you and Phainon again. He was standing behind your chair, one hand resting on the backrest while he leaned over to comment on your code.
He would speak low near your ear like the two of you shared something secret. Sometimes his hand would linger on your shoulder, a little longer than it should.
And you just kept coding.
You didn’t want to say it out loud, but ever since the hospital visit, your guard hadn’t dropped once.
Every time Phainon brought snacks, or coffee, or even just his charming laugh, there was something clawing at the back of your head.
The others in school weren’t subtle either. You noticed the sideways glances. The hushed tones in the hallway. Students whispering by the lockers, pretending not to look your way.
Some even snickered outright when you walked into the lab with Phainon beside you, your laptops under your arms like a pair of matching uniforms.
“Guess if you can’t compete, just date the star instead.”
Phainon noticed. Of course he did.
He smirked as he leaned in and whispered: “Let them talk. We’re the ones doing something real.”
You didn’t reply. You just sat down and turned on your machine.
And when you got focused, really focused, you forgot everything else. You skipped lunch. You skipped breaks.
That’s when Phainon would step in again.
You hadn’t even noticed him peel open a rice ball wrapper until he tapped your chin gently with it.
“Eat.” he said simply.
“What?”
“You haven’t touched a single thing since third period. Just chew.”
He held it closer to your lips—half a challenge, half a joke.
You frowned slightly, but opened your mouth. He fed it to you.
---
"Why are they always together now? It’s getting annoying."
"Seriously. Ever since that freak started hanging out with Phainon, he’s been acting weird. Ignoring us."
"They practically live in the lab. It’s pathetic. Clingy."
"Didn’t Kai or whatever his name is end up in the hospital too? You think it’s a coincidence?"
"Well… maybe we should remind them where their place is."
Your bag was heavy on your shoulder. You were heading to the lab as usual, maybe Phainon would be there already, or maybe not. You didn’t text him today.
You were halfway down the stairs when it happened.
A slight nudge.
There was a moment—a single heartbeat—when your brain recognized the danger.
Then everything went black.
[Hospital Room – Present]
You woke to pain pressing behind your eyes and an icy pressure on your wrist.
“Hey.. hey. You’re awake?”
You blinked through the blurriness. Phainon’s face came into view, shadowed by worry and sleeplessness.
“Don’t move too fast. You hit your head—really hard.”
Your throat felt dry. You tried to speak but failed. He immediately reached for the straw in a plastic cup and held it to your lips.
You let the water coat your throat. Your mom entered then, her voice choked with relief as she kissed your forehead and muttered prayers under her breath. Behind her, your sibling waved awkwardly with puffy eyes.
Your body still ached. But in your stillness, your mind drifted.
[Seven Years Ago]
You stood outside the regional coding challenge arena, holding your little cardboard certificate for First Prize in your hand. The others from your school were celebrating inside, but you stepped out for air.
That’s when you heard it.
Sniffling. The sound of someone trying really hard not to cry.
You followed the noise and found him, curled behind the bushes next to the school’s HVAC system, arms wrapped around his knees. He was kicking at a tangle of wires and muttering under his breath.
His screen had crashed halfway through the demo. His mom, who was in the audience, had made that face. Not angry—disappointed.
“Leave me alone” he snapped when he noticed you.
You stood there silently and pulled out a juice box from your bag. Pushed it toward him.
He glared at it, then you. “I lost.”
You shrugged. “Your code was complex, though. That’s impressive for our age.”
He finally took the juice box. Sipped it quietly.
You sat beside him, ignoring the grass stains and bugs. “I could help. If you want. You’ll get better.”
He stared at you, like trying to see through your intentions.
“…Why?”
“Because you were good. And no one helped me when I started either. So I guess I just want to promise it won’t always suck.”
You smiled. “Wanna be friends?”
He nodded.
You forgot that moment. Years passed. But Phainon never did.
Because in that moment, you were the first person who saw value in him.
And he kept that memory like a loaded save file.
Waiting to be opened again.
[Hospital Room – Present]
You stirred awake.
Night had fallen.
Phainon hadn’t left. His hand was still holding yours, as if letting go would make you disappear.
You stared at the ceiling. “Did you know?”
He looked up.
“About the stairwell?” you clarified.
His jaw tensed. “…Yes.”
You didn’t respond.
He continued: “I told them to back off. I thought that was enough.”
You turned to face him.
“I was too late. And I’m sorry.”
You didn’t want his apology.
You wanted to go back and undo all of it. All the memories with him.
[One Month Later]
It was as if you had never existed.
Even your home, he passed by once, late at night, still in his hoodie and uniform, was locked up, the windows sealed, the gate chained. A "FOR RENT" sign swayed faintly in the wind.
You had moved.
Without goodbye.
“…Didn’t they get, like, pushed or something?”
“Maybe their parents freaked out.”
“Phainon’s been acting insane ever since. You think he—”
The boy they were whispering about passed them without a glance.
He just sat in the old lab sometimes—your chair cold and silent across from him—staring at the unfinished game you both used to work on. His fingers would hover over the keyboard, only to fall away.
He didn’t talk to Kaito anymore. He didn’t talk to anyone, really.
One week later, Phainon stared at the wall of post-its he'd started building.
A map of digital footprints.
The last IP address you logged in with.
An email you once mentioned.
A string of code only you would write—he knew because he still had a CD of your logic framework.
An old blog post under a different name, dated three years ago.
He had learned from you. Studied you. Watched you work, memorized the way you built firewalls, nested loops, hid access points like digital breadcrumbs only someone obsessed would find.
And he was obsessed.
At school, Phainon finally started speaking again.
To the computer science teacher.
To the club advisor.
To anyone who might know where the school sent your records. What your “transfer” details included.
But they all said the same thing.
"We don’t know." "It was a private transfer." "We were told not to disclose further."
He sat by his screen again. The glow cast his face in cold blues.
On it was a pixelated image—the game you had coded.
Only this time, it had been modified.
There was a new character. One that looked an awful lot like you. Standing at the end of a path surrounded by glitchy trees.
He pressed enter.
And the character vanished.
Phainon leaned back in his chair.
Where did you go? He didn’t get an answer.
Not yet.
But he would.
----
The screen glowed in the pitch-black room.
Phainon hadn’t slept. Not properly.
There it was.
Phainon’s lips parted. His eyes lit up like a mad scientist finding the last missing variable.
“…Got you.”
----
You sat in the back of the new lab, a new place, everything is new to you, headphones in, hoodie up. You'd been making slow friends here.
Safe. Or so you thought.
Until you saw a notification blink on your laptop.
“System Resource Conflict – Unknown Peripheral Access Attempted.”
You immediately yanked the USB port out.
"Dammit."
----
[Night – Back in Your Apartment]
You watched the camera LED on your laptop blink once, then stop.
You covered it. Disconnected from all networks.
And still, you found phantom code—commands embedded in weird spots.
He was inside.
“What do you want, Phainon?”
The screen lit up again.
Just a simple text file opened itself.
I want what’s mine.
[Elsewhere – Phainon’s POV]
He sat in a cheap hotel near your neighborhood, his laptop surrounded by energy drink cans and open notebooks filled with your old quotes, half-written function names, sketches of you in the margins.
This wasn’t about revenge.
This was about fixing the error that happened the day you left.
[The Next Day – At Your School]
You felt someone watching.
Students still walked the hall like normal. But your hands wouldn’t stop shaking.
And when you reached your locker, you found a CD. Labeled in black marker:
“Final Build – OUR Game.”
You dropped it immediately. You didn’t pick it up.
But someone else did. Your cousin.
“…Hey, isn’t this yours?”
“No. Leave it.”
That night, when you checked online, your cousin’s PC pinged offline.
“Ugh.. I warned him already.”
Then his phone. Then his socials.
Gone.
You wanted to end this. So you did what you must.
“Don’t worry. I’m here now.”
“We’re going to finish what we started.”
“Together.”
The lights in your room dimmed.
You agreed to meet him.
“Let’s end this.”
Rooftop. 5:00 PM.
You knew this was dangerous.
But you were exhausted.
Of hiding. Of losing friends.
You needed closure—even if it meant facing him again.
----
Phainon stood at the edge of the roof, back to you.
He hadn’t changed much.
You approached slowly.
Phainon turned.
“I never wanted to hurt you,” he said, stepping forward. “I just… wanted to be with you. Always.”
“You hacked my laptop.”
“You left first.”
“You stalked me. Threatened people. My cousin.”
“He shouldn’t have touched our game.”
“It wasn’t ‘our’ anything!” you snapped. “It stopped being ours the moment you tried to control me.”
“...I see”
That was it. You said what you had to say. You turned toward the door.
You should’ve kept your guard up.
CRACK
Blinding white. Then black.
-----
You stirred.
Phainon sat nearby, typing.
“Hey,” he said softly, as if he hadn’t just abducted you. “You were out for a while. I was worried.”
“Let me go.”
He tilted his head. “But I just got you back.”
“You can’t keep me here.”
“I can. And I will. We have work to finish.”
“…You're insane.”
“No,” he said with unnerving calm. “I'm in love.”
He stood, walking toward you, crouching beside your chair.
“Look, I added your old AI logic into the game. It talks like you now.”
You stared at him in horror.
“Phainon… you can't replace me with code.”
He smiled.
“Then stay.”
Then, like he was explaining code to a beginner:
“If I lose you again… I’ll transfer you.”
“What?”
“If your body dies… I can keep you. Upload your consciousness into the framework. You’re brilliant, after all. Your patterns, your memory depth... already trained into the AI from our game.” He reached up and gently touched your temple. “You won’t even notice the difference.”
You went completely still.
He was serious. Fully convinced. He would do it.
“…Phainon” you said quietly, doing everything you could to keep your voice steady. “That’s… sweet. But I’m not ready for that.”
“I just think,” you continued, “maybe I can help improve the code more if I’m still—” you laughed nervously—“you know, in this form.”
Then… he sighed. “You’re so logical,” he murmured. “So calm.... That’s why I love you.”
He leaned his forehead against yours.
“I knew you’d understand eventually.”

Okay so I have a req for a fic. Chris and reader are a pretty new couple, like almost a year, she's finally sleeping over at Chris's house and they're home alone. They're watching a movie or something and she puts her hand on Chris's thigh, not knowing how sensitive he is to touch so he gets a MASSIVE boner immediately and has to deal with it (you can add your own things btw (also first time doing this, kinda nervous.. 😓))
you and chris adore sleepovers. and chris always makes sure you have your own space at his place.
you two usually go back and forth on picking a movie. but tonight, it was your turn.
you made a big decision and picked a scary movie. chris’s smirk fades away as your hand falls onto his thigh.
his black sweats begin to form a small dent, slowly growing into a massive one. he lets out a small exhale, trying to avoid making things awkward for himself.
but holy fuck, he just sits there awkwardly — his eyes constantly darting to his lap.
he’s grateful for the blanket over his lap, but it’s starting to make things pretty obvious.
he decides he can't take it any longer. “babe.” he mumbles awkwardly. you were too focused on the scene, which makes him mumble a little louder. “babe."
your head turns to him as soon as you hear him the second time. he lets out a sigh, preparing himself as if it were your first time all over again. “i have a boner.” he murmurs lowly.
your brows furrow in confusion. "huh?" he sighs again, speaking through gritted teeth. "i have a boner."
your eyes trail down to the blanket, lifting it up. he awkwardly shifts, pulling the blanket back down to keep you from looking at it.
“chris.” you murmur, lifting the blanket again. and there it was, his massive boner. you had so many questions about how it all led up to this.
the way you were eyeing his throbbing boner makes him want to tell you to do something. his head falls back against the headboard, letting out a small relieved sigh as your hand makes contact.
you continue to rub his cock over his sweatpants. "shit.” he mumbles, his eyes fluttering shut from the pressure.
your hand stops for a few seconds, just long enough for his sweats and boxers to end up on the floor. and immediately, he makes a fucked out expression as your hand makes contact with his cock.
the movie was no longer being paid attention to for the rest of the night.

can you do “slow fingering during movie night with friends”!! with paige being dom!
it could be where reader just got back to storrs from a long trip and instead of them being able to spend time alone their friends suck them into a movie night! and paige just could not wait any longer so she took matter into her own hands!! 🤗🤗
can’t wait anymore
Tumblr media
♡— pairing: paige bueckers x fem!reader
♡— warnings: smut
♡— synopsis: when you got back from a school trip all you wanted to do was have alone time with your girlfriend but your friends had other plans, leaving paige to take things into her own hands.
❥•°❀°•༢
“god—i’m so glad to be back.” you groaned as you crawled over paige and laid on top of her. her arms wrapped around you immediately, her head tilting to press a kiss to your temple.
“i’m glad you’re back too. i missed you.”
you had been gone on a week long trip with your art class to an “art adventure.” it was fun, sure, but after the second day you were seriously going through withdrawals. you sighed into her neck as you placed a small kiss into her skin—not thinking much of it.
paige let out a small, breathy laugh, her fingers pressing into your waist slightly. “careful, i might not let you out of this room if you keep doing that.”
you laughed but you knew she was only half joking, so you did it again. it was already a little past 8:30 pm, everyone should be getting in bed by now so you figured there would be no harm in a good orgasm to end the night. paige ran her hands down your hips and pulled you closer, her lips parting slightly as you started to kiss her a little slower now.
the air between you was already getting thicker and just as she flipped you over there was a loud knock on the door followed by a string of laughs and giggles. you could recognize those laughs anywhere. having spent so much time in paige’s dorm you’d grown familiar with the sounds of her teammates.
you pulled back from outside and looked up st her, expecting. she just shook her head and buried her head in the crook of your neck, her lips ghosting your skin as her hands ran up your inner thighs. you bit down on your lip to keep yourself from making a noise when she started to suck at the skin on your neck.
there was another knock on the door, this time followed by azzi’s voice. “we’re having movie night, everyone joins!”
“we don’t have to go.” paige murmured, trailing her lips up your jaw and kissing you gently. you hummed against her lips and pulled back, making her chase you.
“yeah we do.” you whispered back, kissing her lips in a quick peck. paige groaned and rolled her eyes, falling into the bed beside you. you laughed and patted her thigh before leaving the bed.
twenty minutes later, you were curled up on the couch with paige, surrounded by her teammates in the common room. the lights were dimmed, a horror movie playing loud on the screen, but you were only half watching. paige had insisted you laid with her under the blanket. you hadn’t questioned it—her arms were warm, and after a week without her, you wanted nothing more than to stay close.
the couch wasn’t that big so you knew it would be a tight fit but what you didn’t expect was her hand to creep between your thighs halfway through the movie. your body tensed and you grabbed her wrist, stopping her hand from moving any further.
“paige—“ you hissed quietly, eyes darting around the room to make sure no one was paying any attention to you. paige hummed like she was completely innocent and kissed the back of your neck. you squeezed her wrist gently, silently reminded her where you were. paige smile against your skin and let her hand relax—she wasn’t giving up, she was simply waiting for you to turn your attention back to the tv.
a few minutes went by and paige’s hand twitched again, her thigh slid between your legs from behind. you knew what she was doing when she did that—creating a small space between your legs so she could slide her hands in your pants. this time you let her, you keep your eyes on the horror movie in front of you and you didnt move an inch.
she managed to untie the strings of your sweats with one hand. when she realized you weren’t going to stop her she slipped her hand down your pants and into your panties. she pressed soft kisses to your necks, shoulder, any part of you she could reach.
you pulled your bottom lip between your teeth to keep any sound from coming out when she ran her fingers through your folds. paige let out a soft breath into your ear at how wet you were.
“so fucking wet.” her voice was low and smooth, quiet enough it couldn’t be heard over the screams from the tv. your hips twitched into her hand as she covered your clit with your slick in small circles. you were trying so hard to keep your breathing steady—to focus on the movie, to not give away what was really happening under that blanket.
paige moved her fingers lazily but still radiating that confidence she always had. her free arm was still wrapped around your waist, holding you tightly against her like you were just cuddling. you felt her fingers dip lower, one of them pushing into you with the same slow rhythm, knuckle-deep, then dragging out again.
she was going slow on purpose—dragging it out, making it so you felt every second bit of it. your walls clenched around her fingers and you had to bite back a moan. no one was looking still, everyone’s heads were turned towards the tv, soaking up every second of the gore.
paige curled her finger just right and you bit your lip so hard it stung, your hand wrapped around her wrist tight. she chuckled, low and warm against your skin. “right there, hm? that feel good, baby?”
you nodded, barely–just a small, desperate tilt of your head. your lips were parted but you didn’t trust yourself to speak, scared that the second you opened your mouth you wouldn’t be able to help the sounds that would go flying out. the pleasure was tight and pulsing just beneath your skin, lighting your nerves on fire.
something bloomed in your core, maybe a rush of adrenaline from being taken apart right there in front of your friends—paige’s teammates. your thighs closed around her hand as she curled her fingers and adding the thought of being caught, a gasp flew out of your mouth—loud enough that kk turned her head and looked at you.
“girl, what was that?” she asked, narrowing her eyes at you. paige smiled against your shoulder as she looked at kk. she curled her fingers again and you shook your head fast, your cunt gushing around her fingers. you were thankful for some of the girl’s horrible hearing; the tv was loud enough it masked the sound your pussy was making as paige fucked into you.
“that was nothing. i just— that part was a little scary.” you rushed out, shrugging your shoulders like you weren’t five seconds away from cumming on her best friends fingers. kk’s eyes darted between you and paige and she made that signature kk arnold face before slowly turning back around. you let out a soft breath of relief and let yourself relax into paige again.
“you almost got us caught, baby.” paige murmured teasingly. you nodded your head, eyes fluttering shut, and your pussy squeezed her fingers tight at her words. paige caught it immediately. “oh, that turns you on, huh? the thought of getting caught, hm, like a fucking slut.”
your breathing was way heavier since you had to hold in your moans. you tilted your head towards the couch to hide your face and your hips jerking forward, chasing her fingers. paige shifted her hand so her palm brushing your clit with each thrust.
your legs shook around her hand and your stomach tightened. paiges teeth grazed your neck and her voice dropped even lower. “you gonna cum for me? make a mess on my fingers with all our friends here?”
that was it. the tight coil in your stomach snapped and you were cumming. your whole body trembled in her arms, your pussy clenching so hard around her fingers it made her groan softly into your shoulder.
she held you through it, her fingers working in you until you pushed her hand away. paige relented, pulling her fingers from your soaked panties and tugging your sweats gently back into place. she kissed the side of your head, licking her fingers clean beneath the blanket before sliding her arms back around your waist like nothing had happened.
“you’re sitting in my lap next time.” paige whispered. you shivered, already thinking about it.

my angel baby
(alastor w/ angel daughter reader)
[caution!!: EPISODE 8 & 6 SPOILERS. NOT PROOFREAD]
(notes: alastor joins charlie and vaggie in heaven to convince them about the hazbin hotel. angel reader physically resembles a fawn. )
(right now this is considered a oneshot, unless there is a very high demand for a part 2 I'll happily make another one for funzies!)
(PART 2 IS OUT!!!)
(also apologies if alastor's last name isnt actually altruist LMAo I kinda just wrote it assuming so 😭 )
You made it to heaven, lucky you.
Heaven was surely a treat, you lived your days with the upmost happiness, the light of heaven shining on your skin with kisses as if praising you for your goodness and your sacrifices,
all your sacrifices.
You were currently taking the job over for St. Peter at the gates of heaven for just a few minutes to await for any wondering souls to appear, to help guide them while he came back from a lunch break. Normally they wouldn't allow a human soul like yourself with little experience in this kind of task to take charge of such an important job, but you were close to many of the high ranking angels and you have proved your proficiency in tasks that you set your mind to, so you were glad to help those in need.
You stood there reading through the millions of pages looking over all kinds of names, all seemed like names that you wouldn't normally hear back in your time when you died. Some you liked, others didn't exactly pique your interest much, but the advancement of names since the 1930s surely proved how much times have changed and how quickly time seems to pass in heaven.
You wonder if it is in hell too.
'Hell?..' you wondered as you shook your head and sighed, your mind has been on that place lately and you wondered if it was even worth the rent free space in your mind.
You were currently slouched over the book and decided to close it with a glum look on your face, your elbows now resting on the golden podium and your hands cupping your face.
Geez, and you've been thinking a lot about your old man.
What-- no wait-
You shouldn't call him your old man, let alone your dad, not even father, pops-- not even by his damn name.
Even so, as much as you hated it.. you couldn't help but still use his last name sometimes since it's what you were given when you were first taken in.
Your last name?.. why, you're forgetting already?
_____ Altruist is who you a---
"HELLO??"
You snapped out of your thoughts as your head slipped from under your palms, face planting onto the cover of the enormous book. In embarrassment you snapped your head back up and your wings followed suit, spreading open behind you in shock as your eyes searched for the voice that called out to you from below.
You finally darted down to see three oddly shaped figures, your panicked vision soon relaxing to see two girls and a man dressed in red from tip to toe.
How peculiar.
Your eyes only set on the girl at the moment since she was the one waving at you and basically begging for your attention.
"Hello hello! uh.. Down here!" The girl with long locks of pale yellow hair waved, her smile widening when seeing she's caught your attention.
"Ah- yes yes! Hello hello! Welcome to Heaven! May I.. uh-" you scrambled nervously to open the book in the middle of it, "May I have your name please?"
She nodded, also returning a bit of a shy attitude back "Yes of course! My names Charlie Morningstar!"
Just like that you flicked the pages to go to the names that sounded similar to the girl's, mumbling her name under your breath as your finger traced down each name on the list.. to your dismay you couldn't find it.
"You don't seem to be on the list ma'am.. how weird.. does this usually happen with St. Peter?.." you spoke in concern, mumbling the last part to yourself.
The girl then started to explain something about her dad getting her a meeting, your mind a little clouded still trying to find her name until you heard the forbidden name that no one inside the pearly gates ever attempted to say out loud.
"-- maybe try, Lucifer.. Morning...star-"
And just like that you slammed the book closed, no words coming out of your mouth but an exasperated look of shock freezing your face.
"Oh-hoho... that explains so much--" you gave her a small sheepish smile, awkwardly looking off to the side where your eyes couldn't help but drag themselves to the man dressed in red.
"Miss you don't think.. you could've..." your eyes at first looked at the man's waist, his coat lightly shredded at the ends and the stripes of the long suit guided your eyes upwards "-gotten..." up and up and your eyes met his. The red eyes, the ears, the small horns, the horrific aura, and..
Oh dear, you'd recognize that damned smile anywhere.
"--lost..?" the end of your sentence dragged on, taking a long while to finish since all you could think about is how this man is at the front door step of the place he shouldn't even be considered in being let to enter.
Alastor, your father from the living realm. Not connected by blood but by life and connection.
The man where you got your last name from by being taken in and called his daughter.
The red deer demon seemed to recognize you as well, a spark in his devilish eyes proved it so, but it was very brief since he more or less also seemed to relish the look on your face with his smile stretched further up.. however further up it could get.
Charlie seemed concerned at your reaction, waving her hand in front of your face gently as if to get you out of this trance. "Heyyy... are you okay?.." she asked with genuine worry until all of you were focused away from this bizarre moment when a set of three angels befell before you all. The two seraphims and finally-- St. Peter off from his break.
"_____. We can take it from here, we appreciate the help." The highest and oldest seraphim announced your name and her appreciation while gliding down a bit more earlier than the blonde angel you covered for, she and the younger seraphim's forms going from their true to more human-like appearances.
"_____! My dear friend thank you so much for covering for me, always a real helper you!" St. Peter popped beside you as he praised you while gently flying beside you, you looked up at him with a small nervous smile before opening your own wings to flap down from his podium and let him get back on the job.
"It's no problem at all, you know me! Always.. happy to help.." you spoke your last words to him before your wings gently took you down to set yourself beside another one of your friends, Emily! You never talked much to Sera that wasn't in a formal setting but Emily seemed so easy to get along with. She gave you a tight squeeze of a hug while saying hello which eased your nerves a bit more, of course they never fully disappeared with the man who ruined everything before you let out your last breath.. standing right in front of you.
The man that brought you up here in the first place.
The seraphims introduced themselves to the three residents of hell, the deer demon more quiet until finally finding a spot of silence to jump in and introduce himself as well.
"Why hello, a real pleasure meeting you two quite the pleasure! Never thought I'd ever get to see an angel up this close in my life HAHA! The names Alastor!"
The voice, the radio static over it, his name.
It was him, you recognized it as if you listened to him on the radio just yesterday, your own personal hell.
Whatever reaction or words the higher ranked angels said seemed to fizzle out of your brain as they were replaced with the memories of your last moments on earth.
------------------------------------------------------------------
"Father!" you screamed as you ran up to your childhood home, the home to which you were raised and kept in, your home in which you lived in with your father, Alastor Altruist.
For sometime you had suspected foul play when it came to your father's weird actions when the night came, the tone he spoke through his radio show when announcing several murders happening across and haunting New Orleans. You just didn't want to truly believe that the man that found you, a poor little orphaned baby, and raised you would do such disgusting and diabolical crimes.
You couldn't believe it.. until you finally saw it.
Your legs scrambled and fought each step to become faster, finally reaching the door of your home you slammed it open with a strong kick after jiggling the doorknob didn't work.
You knew the next murder he would commit would happen in your home.. you thanked whatever force that made you disobey him and look through his study since if you didn't you wouldn't know that right now there was blood to be shed.
The door opening and with your kick full of adrenaline and panic it made the door barley cling onto it's hinges. There your father was, on top of a wounded man that seemed to be gurgling and gasping to breathe as the victim attempted to claw at Alastor's grasp. Pieces of glass and wood broken across the entire floor, walls bloodied and worn out, pictures that hung neatly now cracked and lopsided or shattered on the floor.
Whatever happened in here, the victim was sure a fighter in the beginning.
You immediately without hesitation with full force pushed Alastor off the man, pulling the bloodied stranger by his wrist. The victim and you stared for a moment, him mostly realizing that he's being saved by a young girl like you. His lips parted to thank you but you could see Alastor raise his kitchen knife in the air and sprinted toward him to stab him on the back.
With no words left to share or spill you grabbed the stranger by the shoulders and with all your might pushed him and yourself away so that in the end Alastor ended up stabbing nothing but air.
Alastor grunted in frustration, his bloodied smile yet never faltering despite the challenge you now gave him.
The man snapped his head at you, eyes fixated at you before snapping back to his victim and raising his knife up once more, in a haunting motion his steps creeped and creaked towards the injured New Orleans citizen stricken with fear and terror.
Just like that, Alastor slams his knife down with no hesitation. The knife fully in his prey with no inch of the blade uncovered.
Oh-- wait.
That shriek, the sobs, the shaky breathing and the coughs of blood.. that wasn't his victim.
It was you.
His daughter, he stabbed his daughter.
For a moment you could see his crazed smile falter, the humane part of him uncovering itself for a moment, for you.
His little girl was covered in her blood because of him, the little baby he found on that cold rainy day is dying because of him, his bundle of joy that he took years to take care of is leaving him.. and it's all his fault.
He didn't know it was you-- he didn't know you'd be that stupid to sacrifice yourself for some random prick.
He didn't know that in the end, someone as evil as him could have raised someone as selfless as you.
"p..papa..?" you whimpered, your painful coughs of blood spilling out and going down your chin and your neck. "It hurts-- g.. it hurts so much papa.." you cried as the knife in your chest seemed to feel as if it was melting into your skin, becoming one with you. It obviously wasn't but the pain was just that painful.
Alastor's smile faltered and kept trying to stay up, his own set of tears falling down his face and onto your cheeks that were slowly losing life. Regret stabbing his own heart the way he did to yours. He let go of the knife and instead cradled you in his arms, just like how he used to when you would have nightmares as a little girl.
"Shh.. Shh.." he shush you softly as he gently patted your head, moving away any uneven strands of hair he could spot with his hands trembling in regret. "Little one.. don't worry about a thing, papa's here.. " he mumbled, the gentleness replacing what once was pure aggressiveness.
Your eyes slowly started to flutter closed, your pulse slowing down, breathing less profound, your limbs going limp, and your face.. contorting into a peaceful state of slumber.
Alastor watched as you passed in his arms, his faltering smile picking itself up once more to stretch itself across his face with tears pouring out his eyes. This wasn't a smile of joy, it was a smile to hide what he truly felt.. to lie to himself. "My little angel, forgive me please."
Those were his last words to you, words that in the end you couldn't hear.
And that man he tried to kill earlier? He escaped when he was given the chance, Alastor was sure the cops were to invade his home soon.. now there was just one thing left to do before he'd be found once again to pay the consequences.
He took your body to a beautiful forest filled with flower meadows. Alastor knew this was one of your favorite spots as a young girl, why not let you rest here.
Ah but as he was preparing to bury you in your final resting place... that darn deer hunter.
Well, you know the story. Mistaken for a deer, shot, that's the end of Alastor Altruist and his darling daughter, ______ Altruist.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As you stood there you were awoken from your thoughts with the high angels escorting the princess and her other female companion into the gates of heaven, St. Peter welcoming them humbly with one of heaven's popular songs.
You were frozen, in shock. A chill went down your spine as you felt a foreign energy come closer.
You felt long fingers grapple themselves onto your shoulder which made you dramatically turn towards the hand and away from it.
Your father wanted to talk to you.
Your contrasting colors and appearances made this reunitement even more uncomfortable for you, his demon form seeming to match his disgusting self that he hid from the human world before.
His face was hard to read, especially with that signature smile of his that even in death he would never get rid of.
"Little one, my darling daughter.." he spoke, his voice seemingly trying to seem genuine but the radio filter over it made it feel condescending to you.. as if mocking you.
The look on your face was evident, you missed him so much but hated him with your entire being because of that hidden side he kept for years.
He continued "My little ____... out of all places I never thought I'd see you here. Oh but it's definitely much better than down under my little dove.."
Geez what was he even saying?? What were his intentions..?? You couldn't tell.. after all this time, you couldn't forgive this man, this serial killer, this demon, this.. monster. You couldn't.. not this soon anyways.
You took a deep inhale and exhale before fixing your posture and stance, trying to seem more professional and confident. "Sir, your hosts and companions are ahead of you. You wouldn't want to miss your introduction to a place you'll never see again after this day." Your voice stern and professional, trying your best to be void of emotion.
"Darling.. is that truly a way to greet your dear ol' father?" He spoke, hand stretched out while the other held onto his staff.
"Your friends are waiting on you, don't be late Alastor."
Just like that you turned your heel and gave him the cold shoulder, your wings spread and started flapping. Taking you up and away further into your home.. Alastor watched you as you left him once again, this time by choice.
Ah but he knew, he'd have his darling daughter back soon. His little angel that he cared for will forgive him.. he knew you had to.
With his grin widening even further he walked to catch up to the Princess of hell and her partner into the pearly gates, to see what other thing could entertain him while his daughter snapped back to her senses.
(hello!! thank you so much for reading I had a blast with this. as you can tell. once again thank you so much for reading! hope to see you soon! mwa mwa!)

main masterlist.
A/N | and thus, the romance arc begins. the amount of requests for this is so funny 😭
The air is thick with tension as the team moves through the abandoned office, the only sounds the distant creak of shifting metal and the quiet shuffle of boots against concrete.
Flashlight beams slice through the dim light, illuminating dust swirling in the air. The unsub is here. You know it like you know the feeling of a storm coming—an electric charge beneath your skin, a pull in your gut.
Your grip on your gun is steady, but your pulse thrums with anticipation. You keep your breathing measured, sharp eyes scanning the shadowed corners of the room.
The others are moving carefully, methodically, sticking to protocol. Spencer had warned you earlier, voice low but insistent: “Please don’t take unnecessary risks. We don’t know what we’re walking into.”
He worries too much. It’s something you’ve come to expect from him, but it gnaws at you differently than when others do it. With Spencer, it’s not condescending or dismissive—it’s genuine. He cares, and that unsettles you more than it should.
Which is exactly why you ignored him.
Movement flickers at the edge of your vision. A shadow slipping through a half-open door at the far end of the office space. Your instincts scream at you to move. To act. The others are too far behind; if you wait, the unsub could disappear.
You don’t hesitate.
“Going left,” you mutter into your comms, but you don’t stop to explain further. You slip through the doorway, gun raised, ignoring the sharp crackle of your earpiece as Spencer’s voice comes through.
"Wait— Don’t go in alone—”
But you’re already inside.
The room is colder than the rest of the building, the air thick with the metallic tang of rust and something else—something sharper. It’s nearly pitch dark, the only light filtering in through a broken window near the ceiling. Your heartbeat is steady, controlled, but your muscles coil tight, ready to spring.
A shift. A whisper of movement.
Then—
Pain.
A white-hot sting tears through your side before you fully register what’s happened. Your breath hitches as you stumble back, your free hand instinctively pressing to your ribs. It comes away slick with blood.
Shit.
Your body reacts before your brain catches up. You fire—once, twice—and the gunshots are deafening in the enclosed space. The figure in front of you jerks and collapses, the dull thud of their body hitting the ground barely registering through the rush of blood in your ears.
The room tilts slightly. The pain sharpens. Your legs feel unsteady beneath you, but you grit your teeth and straighten, forcing yourself to stay upright.
Then—footsteps. Fast, urgent.
A second later, Spencer bursts into the room.
“Oh my god— We need a medic in here!”
His voice is tight, breathless, as he skids to a stop in front of you. His eyes, wide with panic, dart from your face to the growing stain on your shirt. And then he’s moving, closing the distance in an instant, dropping to his knees beside you before you can so much as protest.
His hands replace yours, pressing down on the wound, and you hiss at the sharp pressure.
“Jesus, Reid,” you bite out, trying to push him away, but he doesn’t budge.
“It’s fine,” you grit through clenched teeth, but even you can hear the slight tremor in your voice.
“Fine?” His voice cracks, his breath coming fast, like he’s been running. “You’re bleeding, and you—God, why would you go after him alone?”
You try to roll your eyes, but the action is weaker than you intend. “He’s down, isn’t he?”
Spencer lets out a sharp breath, and you catch the way his jaw clenches, the flicker of something dark and unreadable in his eyes. His fingers press harder against your side, grounding you, keeping you here.
“You could have died—” His voice is lower now, rougher, and it makes something twist uncomfortably in your chest.
You try to scoff, to deflect. “Wouldn’t be the first time.”
“That’s not funny.”
You freeze.
His voice is raw. Unsteady. And when you meet his eyes, you see something there that you don’t want to see—something that makes the air between you feel too heavy, too charged.
You’ve seen Spencer worried before, but this is different. This is something deeper. Something dangerous.
And for a moment, it’s just the two of you.
His hands are warm, firm but careful. He’s so close, close enough that you can see the way his throat bobs as he swallows, the slight tremor in his fingers despite the pressure he’s applying to your wound.
He’s afraid.
Not in the way most people would be. Not in the way someone fears losing a teammate.
It’s different with him.
And that realisation sends something cold through your chest.
You should push him away. Should tell him to back off, that you don’t need him fussing over you like this. But your head is light, and the pain is making you sluggish, and his hands are keeping you steady in a way that you don’t want to think too hard about.
So, for once, you don’t fight it.
Just for a moment.
Then, the rest of the team rushes in, and the fragile thing between you shatters.
The hotel room feels too small. Too bright. Too loud.
You shouldn’t be here—you should still be in the hospital, technically—but the second the doctor said you were stable enough for discharge, you signed the damn papers and got out of there.
You don’t do hospitals. They make you feel trapped, restless, like you’re waiting for something to go wrong. So you took the out, ignored the side-eye from the nurse, and made your way back to the hotel with nothing but a few high-grade painkillers and a warning to take it easy.
Right. Like that was going to happen.
Now, sitting on the edge of the bed, stiff and exhausted, you’re starting to regret it. Not because of the pain—you’ve had worse. Not because of the exhaustion—you can push through it.
But because Spencer won’t stop hovering.
He’s been like this since you walked through the door, tracking your every move with sharp, restless eyes. He won’t sit down, won’t even lean against the desk or the wall—he just stands there, pacing slightly, rubbing his fingers together in that nervous habit of his.
And worst of all? He hasn’t stopped talking.
"You can’t keep doing this,” he says again, voice tight. “One day, you’re going to get yourself killed.”
You sigh, forcing yourself to keep your expression blank. Here we go.
“I’m fine,” you say, each word clipped and deliberate. “I’m sitting here, aren’t I?”
“That’s not the point.”
There’s something sharp in his voice now, an edge you don’t hear often. Spencer doesn’t yell—not really—but this is worse. His frustration is controlled, simmering just under the surface, and it makes your skin prickle in a way you don’t like.
“The point,” he continues, stepping closer, hands moving in short, tense gestures, “is that you ran into a room alone, without backup, without knowing what you were up against—”
“I knew enough,” you cut in, irritation flaring.
Spencer lets out a short, incredulous laugh, but there’s no humour in it. “Enough? Enough that you got stabbed?”
His voice rises slightly at the end, and you swear there’s something like desperation in it.
You exhale through your nose, gripping the edge of the bed. Breathe. Keep your cool. You don’t want to fight with him.
Except, maybe you do.
Maybe it would be easier to push him away, to make him angry enough to stop looking at you like that—like you matter too much. Like you scared him.
“I got nicked.” you say, your voice flat. “That’s part of the job, Reid. We all take risks.”
“This wasn’t just a risk,” he snaps, eyes flashing with something dangerously close to anger. “It was reckless.”
You scoff, shaking your head. “You’re not my minder, Reid.”
His jaw tightens. His whole body goes tense, like he’s holding something back.
“Then stop making me feel like I have to be—”
The words hit you harder than the knife had.
You inhale sharply, but he doesn’t give you a chance to recover.
“Do you even realise how bad it could have been?” he presses, voice lower now, but no less intense. “How bad it was?”
You clench your jaw.
“I know exactly how bad it was,” you say, quieter now, your voice cold. “I was there.”
But he won’t let it go.
He keeps talking, keeps pushing, listing every single thing that could have gone wrong, every possible outcome that ends with you bleeding out on the floor, and it’s too much.
You can’t breathe past the weight of it.
It’s overwhelming—the concern, the intensity, the way he’s looking at you like you’re something fragile. Like you’re something he can’t lose.
Like you matter.
You don’t want to hear it.
You just want him to stop.
But he just keeps talking.
His voice is insistent, sharp with frustration but frayed at the edges with something softer, something worse. He’s listing probabilities now, rattling off numbers and percentages like they’re supposed to mean something to you.
Like hearing that there was a 42.7% chance of you bleeding out before medics arrived is going to make you rethink everything.
But it’s not the numbers that get to you.
It’s him.
It’s the way his voice wavers, just slightly, like he’s fighting to keep it steady. The way his hands won’t stay still, fingers twitching like he doesn’t know what to do with them. The way his eyes are burning into you, dark and unreadable, except for one thing:
He’s scared.
And you don’t know how to handle that.
The worry in his expression is like a weight on your chest, pressing down hard enough to make it difficult to breathe. It’s too much—his voice, his eyes, the intensity of it all. He won’t stop talking, won’t stop pushing, won’t stop caring—
And you can’t take another second of it.
So you do the one thing that will shut him up.
You kiss him.
It happens so fast, you don’t have time to process it. One second, he’s standing in front of you, mid-sentence, his mouth forming words you don’t want to hear, and then your hands are gripping his face, and your lips are on his, and—
Everything stops.
Spencer goes completely still. Not just still—frozen. His breath catches, his entire body tensing like he’s just been short-circuited.
For the first time since this whole damn argument started, there’s silence.
No words. No numbers. No probabilities.
Just you. And him. And the space where your lips meet.
For a fleeting, desperate second, you think it might actually work. That maybe this is enough to make it stop.
Then, the weight of what you just did slams into you.
Your breath stutters as reality crashes down around you, as you realise that the heat of his skin is real, that his hands have curled slightly at his sides like he doesn’t know whether to push you away or pull you closer.
You pull back abruptly, your fingers slipping from his jaw as you take a step back, your heart hammering against your ribs.
But Spencer doesn’t move.
He just—stares.
Wide-eyed. Breath uneven. Lips parted like he’s trying to form words but can’t quite find them.
Like he doesn’t quite believe it happened.
And the worst part?
You don’t know what the hell to do next.
Your heart is pounding in your chest, too loud in your ears, and every instinct in your body is screaming at you to retreat, to put the walls back up and pretend nothing happened. Pretend it was just some mistake, some impulsive thing you did in the heat of the moment.
It was just a kiss, right?
That’s what you’ll tell yourself. That’s what you have to tell yourself.
Your fingers tremble as you step back, your breath coming in shallow bursts. You can already feel the walls sliding back into place, the emotional armour rising to shield you from whatever this is. From the mess you just created.
You weren’t supposed to care this much about Spencer. You weren’t supposed to let yourself get wrapped up in him—not when your instincts always screamed at you to push people away, to keep things simple, to keep yourself safe. But now, standing here in the wake of your impulsive decision, you feel anything but safe.
And that terrifies you.
But before you can finish shoving the walls back up, before you can even start to deflect or pretend it didn’t mean anything—he moves.
It’s almost too fast, a blur of motion that catches you off guard. One second, you’re standing there, heart still hammering, and the next, Spencer is right there in front of you, his hands gently cupping your face, his gaze holding yours with an intensity that pins you to the spot.
You barely have time to think before he closes the distance again and kisses you—again.
But this time, it’s different.
This kiss is slow, deliberate. It’s not impulsive, not reactionary, not a desperate attempt to silence the chaos between you.
This time, it’s a choice. His choice.
His lips move against yours with purpose, as though he’s trying to tell you something with every brush of his mouth, something he couldn’t say before. Something you’re too scared to hear.
And for a second, you want to pull away. You want to tell him this was a mistake, that you don’t have time for this, for the complication, for the mess that’s swirling between you both. But your body won’t listen to your mind. It won’t let you run this time.
Instead, you lean into it.
You let your hands reach for him, sliding up his chest to rest against his shoulders, feeling the warmth of his skin underneath the fabric of his shirt. The kiss deepens, and you realise with a sinking feeling that you’re not pulling away because you don’t want this—you’re pulling away because you do.
Because you knew. You knew this was inevitable.
This moment, this connection, this tension between you both that’s been building for so long, simmering just beneath the surface. You could feel it in every glance, in every touch that lingered a second too long.
You’ve both ignored it, buried it under layers of professional distance, under the constant chatter and the mission-driven focus that keeps you moving forward.
But it doesn’t work anymore.
You can’t ignore it anymore.
And as his lips press against yours, as you finally, fully allow yourself to feel what’s been there all along, you realise that there’s no going back from this.
The world feels like it’s holding its breath as you separate, suspended in the space between you both. Neither of you speaks for a long, heavy moment.
There’s a tension now, a thick, unspoken understanding that pulses between you, a thread that has always been there, but now it’s too palpable to ignore. You can’t pretend like it’s not there anymore.
His hands are still on you, a soft warmth, but not quite enough to distract from the fire that lingers in the air. His fingertips hover at your waist, just shy of touching, as though he’s afraid if he holds you too tightly, something will break—something more than the fragile tension that’s just been shattered.
You’re still so close. So close to something you’re not sure you can name.
You pull away slowly, reluctantly, when your body reminds you of the injury. It’s a sharp, jarring pain—nothing too severe, but enough to make your muscles protest, enough to make you wince and break the moment.
You’re trying to hide it, but the slight catch in your breath gives you away. Spencer’s gaze sharpens immediately, eyes flicking down to your side, where the bandage is just barely visible under your shirt.
“Hey,” he says softly, voice quieter now, as if he’s finally realising the full weight of the situation. His hand moves to your elbow, guiding you carefully down to the bed, but not without a lingering touch. His fingers brush against your skin just a little too long, a quiet caress that makes your pulse spike again.
You sit down with a soft sigh, the sharp throb in your side a welcome distraction from the mess of feelings still swirling inside you. You try to focus on your breathing, but Spencer is still standing there, just a few inches away, looking at you like you’ve just cracked the universe wide open.
Your eyes meet, and his expression is a mix of something you can’t quite place—concern, sure, but there’s something else there. Something that burns hotter, deeper, just beneath the surface.
He doesn’t speak at first. He just watches you, like he’s waiting for you to do something. Maybe waiting for you to tell him this was a mistake, or to push him away again, or to tell him it didn’t mean anything.
But you don’t say anything. Neither of you do.
And then, as if testing the weight of the silence between you, he speaks your name—just your name, soft and careful, like he’s unsure of how to even say it after everything that’s happened.
It’s barely a whisper, like he’s afraid of what will happen if he says it too loudly. Or maybe he’s just unsure of what to do with the name now that it’s hanging in the air, heavy with the implications of everything you’ve just shared.
You swallow hard, eyes flicking away from his, suddenly unsure of what to do with yourself. The walls you’d worked so hard to put up feel like they’ve crumbled, but you’re too proud—or too scared—to admit it.
“Are you okay?” he asks, his eyes tracing the line of your jaw, as though trying to gauge how much of you is still the same, how much has shifted.
You don’t answer right away.
Instead, you look at him, at the softness in his expression, the way he’s waiting for you to tell him what happens next. And in that moment, it’s impossible to pretend this didn’t happen, that things are just fine, that the walls you’ve so carefully built around yourself are still in place.
Because they’re not.
This—whatever this is—is real. And it’s not going away.
So you exhale, steadying yourself, and look back at him, finally allowing yourself to face what’s there between you. “Yeah,” you say, voice quiet, but steady. “I’m okay, I’m fine—”
But whatever happens next, there’s one thing you know for sure:
You can’t pretend this didn’t happen.
Not when everything between you has shifted so suddenly, so irrevocably. Not when you’re feeling more exposed than you’ve ever been in your life, and the weight of Spencer’s gaze is both comforting and terrifying.
“I think I need to lie down,”
“Yeah—” Spencer nods a little too quickly, hesitating before helping you under the sheets. “Yeah of course, I’ll uh— come and check on you in a few hours,”
You press your lips together, the phantom sensation of his still present. “Thanks,”
