when you’re finally done with all of your commissions you go see him, no matter how large your eye bags had gotten. no matter how sweaty you looked, you just wanted to see him.

so when he felt your presence approaching he hid himself

“xiao? are you here?”

you checked the whole inn and even asked verr and she told you she last saw him on the balcony

it continued like this for a whole nother 2 weeks and eventually he questioned himself about hiding from you

if you were so persistent to see him, did that mean you forgave him? but he made you cry..why did you forgive him?

it had been about 3 weeks since you last saw him and you sighed to yourself thinking he was probably not gonna show again

when you were about to leave he finally appeared in front of you, he wanted to know if you forgave him. and if you did, why?

but when you laid eyes on him you ran over to him while crying

“why would you disappear on me for 3 weeks?!”

he just lets you hug him until you calm down and when you do you weakly punch him on his arm.

when he asks you about the argument, you started laughing and he’s so confused about it

in the end you tell him you had forgotten about that incident and all you wanted to do was see him. you also explained how you were busy with the adventurers guild

after a couple of seconds you started laughing because he was so stiff, he was moving like a robot!

I had another ABO AU idea... does anyone remember the Hulk vs. mini movies? Now, does anyone remember the Hulk vs. Wolverine special/mini movie/episode?? My idea includes mixing the styles from that with those of the Animated Series, and the dynamics and ages a mix between the Animated Series and Evolution (plus personal headcanons)... and it will look kinda reminiscent to anime... now, add into that the ABO dynamics of my ABO AUs, the characters (yes, even villains) being more caring/less likely to gut each other (ahem ahem no killing children and teenagers and Logan ahem ahem...). In this au, everyone is on their usual team, and the reader knows everyone, being an ally of mutants, no matter which ones they are... (they have a set rule of never helping a bad cause or something wicked). So this has allowed them to meet many different members of both sides, forming relationships and some friendships. They never really joined a team, just Good Samaritan-ing wherever it was needed and helping whoever was doing that at the time, despite which team/end goal they had...

And somehow, the reader ends up caught. The same people who experimented on mutants, the ones who did such horrible things to Wolverine and Sabretooth and Heaven-Knows-Who-Else, get their hands on the reader. They want to test what makes mutants so different, so unique, and want to see what happens when they remove the parts that make them act a certain way (their ABO scent glands and scenting organs)...

The reader survives, barely, being kept barely coherent with sedatives, so they won't try to fight back or harm the scientists... and then somehow, someway, they manage to capture Wolverine and Sabretooth... those two were always considered strong specimens by the scientists, and they think it would be fitting to show them what will happen to them, to make them their perfect weapons once more... and ends up showing them a sickly, partially maimed reader, who thinks they're hallucinations...

That sort of sight... seeing their ally, their friend, a pup, torn apart and barely recognizable... it SNAPS something inside them. They are Omegas after all, and Omegas are the strongest and most overprotective of the three ABO genders... this leads to them having to be taken away from where the reader is kept, in case they manage to kill one of the ones who did this to their pup... Leaving them stuck there, watching and waiting... Until an opportunity opens itself up for them... And they take it... It is a bloody affair, and while they want to get the reader, they realize they'll need more help to do so... and more hands to tear apart the b*st*rds who maimed their teams' packmate...

And they do come back, with the X-Men and some Brotherhood members, to enact the rescue. And what a bloodbath it is... No one who helped tear open their pup is left untouched, and when they finally get their bby back... it hurts, seeing them in their condition... but they are so much more relieved they are still alive to save...

This leads to both teams having a small truce (possibly permanent/active for pups and wounded members), so they can get their bby back into good health... and finding out the extent of their injuries, that their bby had some of the most important parts of them, that helps pack identify them and others sense them, have been removed or brutalized... it makes them see red... When their bby is finally lucid, they realize they are back in the hands of their friends... but... it seems none of them are keen on letting them go.

This leads to the reader trying to leave, only for the others to try to stop them. This forces their bby to fight them so they won't be kept against their will... They manage to pin their bby eventually, and while they hate the idea of doing so, decide to sedate them. They don't want to harm their pup, but their pup needs plenty of TLC, and they are all desperate to give it. They won't harm them, they just plan to keep them calm and relaxed, in the group's nest, where they will be safe and secure. They won't leave their pup again. Even when they weakly struggle against them, they'll stay gentle. Their bby doesn't know what they're doing, and their reasoning is askew... but they'll give them the care and loving they need. It'll be alright. Their pack will be there to keep them safe, and they aren't going anywhere.

but yeah no I live in the BAD BAD fucking area of my city. like I don’t know how the fuck I got conned into moving in here with these horrible people that basically treat me like a prisoner but also like I don’t exist at the same time, but like Jesus FUCK with some of the shit that goes on around here, I can’t wait to leave and finally feel safe in my own home once I move out of Connecticut. like. I don’t leave the house alone EVER because I am terrified of this area of the city. I won’t even take the garbage bag in my room out to the cans right in front of the porch if my roommate isn’t home to come outside with me because I feel so unsafe and uncomfortable living here.

and I think I’m doing better ??? or I will be shortly when I get my new higher dosage of pain meds for my fibromyalgia because my pain is really kicking my ass lately and I just want some relief again 😩 but mentally I feel stable, I’m just having really bad bouts of like, extreme executive dysfunction where I don’t leave bed all day but I don’t do anything in bed but scroll mindlessly on my phone. I think dan was a complete mama's boy in the beginning. rufus was still with the band when he was born so during his first few years alison was the parent who was always around. there's that throwaway line in one of the early season where rufus says he had to walk dan to school every day when he was seven -- I think two things happened then: 1) rufus had quit touring because he realized he was missing his kids growing up and 2) that age would have also been when jenny was going to school for an entire day, so that is when alison decided to go back to school, and so she was not around as much as she used to be, and dan was adjusting to that.

that big, oversized brown armchair in the loft living room? that was mom's chair, that's where she would curl up and sketch and listen to records in the evenings, and tiny dan would sit on her lap. she taught him how to read in that chair.

before rufus bought the gallery (with its attached studio space), alison did a lot of painting on the roof. it was a good place for the kids to paint too because making a mess didn't matter.

when the humphreys did buy the gallery and she moved into the studio upstairs, she still had the kids over there to make messes. that one scene in the princess diaries where they throw darts at water balloons that are full of paint? the humphreys soooooooo did that.

nads has put this in a fic and got me thinking about it, but I love the idea of bby dan being his mom's assistant, and taking pride in that, he loved helping her out with stuff.

both alison and rufus were big on letting their kids find their art and feeding it. alison was the first to clock that dan loved storytelling, so when he gravitated to writing she wasn't surprised. In middle school when he told his highschool/college prep counselor he wanted to be a writer, and she told him he should get an education degree instead. dan vented to his mom about it and she got so pissed she started researching prep schools that would make him more competitive in getting into college. and that's how the transfer to st jude's began.

after she left dan was cold for a WHILE. I rewatched the ep where she comes back just the other day and it always kills me how he tears into her because jenny needs her and dad needs her, but he never says what he needs (the eldest daughter jumped out), he tries for a long time not to need her, and finds out he doesn't really. (but, as I've said, the realization that he doesn't need her is one of the things that fuels her leaving. her baby is grown and who is she if she isn't a mom? she runs away to try and find that out)

so the show says dan actually spent his spring break in s1 hanging out with his mom, and jenny is taken to aspen with one of minions so it really is JUST them. so...I have to imagine that there was some sort of detente happening there.

And, canon says she stays the summer looking after the kids while rufus is touring, and I imagine that's the first prolonged time that they have to spend together, and dan is reeling from his breakup and so much has happened since she left that he doesn't really know how to be around her, and nothing is completely fixed by the end of the summer, but it's not as broken as it felt before. (it'll be a while before they find their footing, but this time is what really saves their relationship when things get tough later).

and then he and jenny go to hudson for christmas after jenny has been THROUGH it so she needs Mom more than he does and so dan the eldest daughter sort of just...lets that happen (even though he's broken up with serena like. two more times since he last saw his mom)

and then rufus and lily become a couple and that's AWKWARD bc the kids both really like lily but they know alison doesn't and once again dan doesn't know how to just talk to his mom. he used to have the easiest relationship with her and now he doesn't know what he can or can't say.

dan graduates from high school, and alison's ex-husband is dating his ex rock and roll sweetheart and her ex nemesis, but it's her son's graduation so she still goes, but sits in the back and leaves shortly after the ceremony.

the humphreys kick it in the hamptons at cece's house, but they spend a few days with their mom in hudson, and that's when she properly celebrates dan's graduation. but her kids have an impending rich stepmom, and like how vanessa reacts to the cash and the designer wallet and the hamptons summer plans alison feels WEIRD about it, but unlike vanessa she is not compelled to speak up because what could she even say?

dan we know goes to his mom's for christmas that year, and he's mopey about vanessa and jenny's further from him than ever and his dad just peaced out to telluride with the band? without lily? there was a time when he could talk through ANYTHING with his mom but he has no idea how to get back to that, and alison is too careful around dan now, so she never pushes anymore, but he keeps waiting for her to push :/

and then...the second half of s3 happens, and dan probably says something off hand about visiting jen after she settles in, but the whole summer passes and ~radio silence~ alison worries, but jenny needs her more right now, and she's focused on her.

this is the thing I WONDER about. how does alison hear the milo story? how does jenny? who tells them? certainly not dan. I would bet rufus gives her a call after it's all over, it happens to rufus so fast he probably hadn't worked out what alison did or didn't know until after georgina takes milo away, and then Dan is going through something COMPLETELY different.

interestingly enough, s4 is the first time dan doesn't see his mom at christmas. he decides to stay in new york. alone. maybe he's giving jenny space again? I like to think that alison takes jenny on a trip to florida to visit dan & jen's grandmother, so dan declines because, florida. but maybe also to avoid an interrogation about his summer as a teenage dad? all of 4a is basically about dan denying his grief, and if he had to tell his mom about it, he wouldn't be able to deny it anymore.

in the gap between s4 & s5, dan goes back to hudson mainly to help jenny pack to move to london. and once again, he can hide behind his sister pulling the attention, and mask all he's going through.

he sends her a copy of Inside, and she understands his work well enough not to take the off-handed, one-dimensional portrayal of Amy Hunter personally.

and since we all know canon ends 5 minutes into season 5 episode 22...let's go from there.

Jenny meets Dair the Couple before alison, they stop in in london on their way back from rome. when dan tells alison about his gf, alison calls jenny for the real scoop. jenny doesn't lie, but she tells alison that she should make up her own mind.

but, alison and blair are into like, many similar things. alison loves hitchcock, and art history, and debating the merits of the academy awards, so she starts to like blair almost in spite herself.

and it's that, combined with dan feeling settled in his life for the first time since she left, that lets them really connect again. it's gradual, at first, and never the same as it was, but he's comfortable telling her things now, and she's comfortable asking.

(the only thing they don't talk about is Dan's brother Scott, because that would just be rude. not that alison's the type to hate a kid for existing - she likes serena and eric as people after all, but it's just toooo awkward for all parties involved)

i waffle back and forth on this idea: alison goes back to her maiden name, because she doesn't want to share the same last name as lily. OR, on the other hand, she stubbornly holds on to humphrey even after lily marries rufus, because that's her kids' name damnit, and if it makes lily mad, that's just a bonus.

I don't think alison ever remarries. i think getting married sooo young and losing herself in that keeps her from ever wanting to do it again. (like this alex dude, i think he proposes and she says no). she gives jenny a speech once while she's living in hudson about not getting married too soon and staying in charge of her destiny (which jenny was already gonna but), but she knows that in this respect dan is too like his father to listen. her boy was destined to be a WIFE yk?

thanksgivings belong to the van der humphreys, but alison gets some event around the winter & summer holidays, usually planned around whenever jenny and her partner are in town.

alison makes all sorts of things for dan's babies when they're born (pettily she thinks she can't top lily's resources), but she makes print illustrations to hand and knits blankets and does those sorts of things.

she doesn't go to every book launch, but she's always at her local indie shop on dan's release days to buy a copy, even though he always sends her one anyway.

alison and harold and roman are besties. eleanor is team lily always and forever. but harold and roman find daniel's mother adorable, and she's a treat to talk to about art, even if her taste is, unfortunately, a lot like her son's. too modernist.

gerry sees martin and thinks "goddamn, its mental illness innit", notices martin is petting. a falcon?? what?? like its normal, and just kinda. strucks up conversation cuz martin looks very much like shit. also he's got a big bird in his lap (this is my crack hc that martin is like a disney princess)

martin, bless him, is very depressed and also tired and also doesnt have the energy to even smile so he just blankly looks at gerry and goes "oh what the hell, sure, he's hot why not" and proceeds to get a tiny wittle crush on gerry for the few months they meet in the library

gerry is fond of martin but thats it, doesnt want attachments, not with this lifestyle, not with his mother being a fucking greedy motherfucker, besides it only causes trouble. and he's not fooled, he knows martin is a bby. he hopes he gets better, cuz hes a nice kid

then gerry needs to deal wish some entities shit, he a busy boy as well, and he'll be away a little bit. he's trying to be more independent and find his own cases and shit without his mom, now that he knows her intentions and doesnt want her legacy. he wants his own. and sadly that means leaving martin alone for a little while

martin is very fucking upset but doesnt show it cause. well. he knows its not fair. he's grown to like gerry a lil bit and he's the only friend he's got. and now he's gonna be gone.

gerry wishes him good luck and tells him "take care of yourself yeah? if not for you, then for me." and that alone fills martin with some determination to actually get better. he doesnt know when gerry will be back, so he'll just. get better. he'll try. for gerry.

truly what happens is that he gets two years older and just a lot more accepting of what he's living in, so he jsut naturally gets better just by living basically the same way. he tries to take walks more tho, and starts writing again, cuz why not, gets into witchcraft again cuz he missed it (also a hc of mine, kinda crack, kinda serious), starts making tea for himself and then his coworkers

by 20, almost 21, he's still unwell per say, he's still depressed, but at least he's trying to do things he likes. thats what counts, hes trying. and he likes that. also he got a bit taller. and bigger, one of his jobs is kinda physically taxing so it just happens naturally

so when gerry comes back and sees martin smile at him, which never fucking happened before, also hes taller. and has muscle on his arms. and more freckles, look at that wow "i like men" basically

its kinda like, love at second sight, and gerry doesnt know how he feels abt it, so he procrastinates dealing with those feelings and just befriends martin all over again.

martin, for his part, had moved on from gerry a lil bit, but now the crush is back at full force, gerry looks cool, has new piercings, new tattoos?? his hair is still horribly dyed and he bullies gerry for it and this is when gerry finds out martin is a bit of a bitch, and also mean, and its cute

Since there's less activity in the fandom, I'll take whatever I can get, but I generally prefer the more energetic character be the aggressor. It traces back to a key trait of Sans being lazy, so the lazy brother just feels better being passive. At least when it comes to more intimate things.

Well, that and I love short, energetic d☆ms 👀💦 so if they're a swap type, I get to have even more fun. Really, Swap!Sans overwhelming his brother is probably my favorite… (But since the original Sans is bottom to me, I'm still more forgiving of swap types also being bottom?)

Fellis: Saaaammmmeee. I LOVE the idea of some of the bois being complete tops (Edge, Papyrus, Blue) or complete bottoms (Red, Sans, and Stretch)but even then I like to think of scenarios where they would like to switch things around (ex. Especially Edge and Red, but who is shocked lol)

Verdana: Yeah, I always default to pretty much exactly that, but then I think about it a little more and I remember powerbottoms exist and I love them.

2. st augustine lighthouse (st. augustine, fl) LOVE the stripes, love that i got the most iconic item in my wardrobe here (my us lighthouse services hat, which confuses tourists, and which i have worn nearly every day for the past 4 years). going up the 219 stairs is a trek and a half, going down was the second most harrowing lighthouse-related experience of my life. i love her but but my occasional vertigo does not

3. gannet rock (grand manan, nb) nearly 200 years old! truly a grand dame of new brunswich lighthouses, however since her automation in the 90s, she's fallen into disrepair and the lovely stripes are almost completely gone now--devastating particularly because i'm 99% certain it's the only one of its stripey type in nb (nb lighthouses mostly all look the same) and it would take a truly outrageous amount of money to get her looking nice again :( however i did meet one of the old keepers and he told me i did a good job keeping my lighthouse clean which was validating. the $1 million lens that i took a selfie with used to be in gannet

4. smalls lighthouse (pembrokeshire, wales) inspired THEE lighthouse (2019) dir. robert eggers so thank you for your service, smalls lighthouse tragedy of 1801, also i'm sorry that happened, but that's why there are multiple keepers. i would go inside living in the original tower (on the left). issues of isolation and eventual potential mercury poisoning aside, there is truly nowhere to go to let off steam. at least with the second tower you can like. listlessly climb the stairs, you can be in another area if you want some alone time. WHERE are you gonna go if you're in a wretched little baba yaga ass screwpile tower on a barren rock. i understand robert pattinson in thta movie so much. also the second tower (built 1861) was the first lighthouse with a toilet, congrats smalls lighthouse!

5. tevennec lighthouse (finestre, france). another one with lots of spooky lore, however the stories lean more towards apocrypha than recorded historical fact. that doesn't mean that i'm not into the ghosts, i would love if if this lighthouse were both cursed and evil. in the documentary we played on repeat at work there was a montage of lighthouses off the coast of brittany featuring tevennec, ile vierge, creac'h, ar men, la jument, and la vielle and that two minute section is scorched into my frontal lobe.

Yeah there was nothing wrong with the post itself (I mean I rebloged it for a reason). Especially in a fandom where all the characters are bloody serial killers like- the script writes itself. Unless you're being ableist, there's nothing wrong with headcanoning a character with certain mental illness, disorder or something else.

I actually do headcanon Jeff as a narcissist and a sociopath and that post explained my vision perfeECtly which is why I rebloged and why I'm more bumbed that it was made by them.

I think I did encountered them before?? Because when I went to their profile I've already had them blocked, and I do remember meeting a proshipper earlier so it was most likely them.
