I think the most amazing thing about Alhaitham's ironic question "How has realizing your ideals gone for you?" is that yes, on the surface, it pierced through the heart of Kaveh's feelings at the time and forced him to reflect on whether he still had enough belief to keep going, but--BUT--

This is also Alhaitham subtly asking: "Was your life better without me?"

Kaveh left their friendship because of his ideals.

Kaveh's attempts to realize his beliefs began in earnest during his argument with Alhaitham, who challenged him back then by suggesting that Kaveh didn't honestly believe in his ideals and was just pursuing them out of guilt and a desire to punish himself for his father's death.

Kaveh's attempt to "realize his ideals," therefore, spans the exact amount of time he and Alhaitham have been separated. When Alhaitham asks about Kaveh's attempts, he's asking very specifically about the course Kaveh's life took when he was no longer in it.

How did it go for you? Were you happier? Was it worth it?

I truly believe that Kaveh will be able resolve his conflict with Alhaitham--and come to understand Alhaitham's actual feelings--when he realizes that, in that exact moment, he should have turned the question around:

How did realizing your ideals go for you, Alhaitham?

Was your life better off without me?

No.

Random question, how come Goldie's form is that of a small child if he died in the womb? And if his spirit/soul aged, how come he's not the same age as John? Was there something that happened that stopped his aging, or is that just how John sees him?

Other than me following how Goldie/Golden Boy looks like in his first appearance in Hellblazer (though I aged him down a bit), I imagine that John perceives Goldie as someone growing with him but as John quickly loses his childhood innocence, Goldie stops growing.

In his teen years John tries stubbornly to be independent, out of survivor's guilt that he's growing up while his brother can't.

They stick together. I like to think of Goldie as the one spirit out of Constantine's ghost crew who doesn't hate or blame him for their death. John still feels awful about it because of course.

I do enjoy reading people's interpretations of Goldie's age being a reflection of how John remembers and grieves him. That's sweet.

I always used to want to be Bakugou’s first love, and experience all those firsts with him— but now Kitten has me thinking about finding Bakugou later in life, when he’s been hurt by the person he thought was the love of his life. His only one.

And he’s given up, because why would he even try to replace them when they were it for him? There’s no one else in this world that could make him feel like they did, and even if there was why would he go through this pain again?

Until he meets you— and you’re all sunshine and smiles, but he can tell there’s a sadness behind your eyes. He’s always been a good judge of character, and he can tell without having to ask that you’ve been hurt before too.

I want to be the person to fix Bakugou’s cold, broken heart. And make him believe in love again.

This is the core of Jason’s character.

Again they try to hammer in that Jason is brash, arrogant, and reckless; that he jumps before thinking. However you can’t really attribute reckless behavior to arrogance or carelessness when he only ever becomes instinctive during very specific instances. The few times he’s “stepped out of line” or just threw himself into an unknown/dangerous situation it was always to protect someone from predators and sickos. Otherwise, keep in mind the number of times he’s been praised for his intelligence and judgment; for being meticulous, calm, and cooperative.

What drives me insane is that silvermist and tinkerbell were not only supposed to be best friends but their relationship was also supposed to be a huge part of the story yet in the franchise we ended up getting these two barely interacted

this post probably exists out there somewhere but. you know the book la galatea? the one Flint leaves for Miranda in 2x3? uhh well it was written by Cervantes the man most well known for creating the patron saint of lost causes (don quixote) but that isnt even the most insane part this book was a collection of pastoral poems loosely wedged into a narrative now, what were these poems about you may ask? well, pastoral stories for those of you who do not know are about love specifically they are about overpowering love making people do insane things and many of these stories in this book end either in tragedy or very ambiguously. essentially the love was there but it didnt change the ending. now the frame these tales are set in? well, THAT is the story of two gentleman, one of noble birth named Elicio and one of low birth who is nonetheless quite well-spoken named Erastro (sound familiar?) who are both in love with the same woman (the titular galatea). they agree that their shared love will never interfere with their friendship. now if you, like me, are throwing objects at the walls at this point, wait for the best part: la galatea is UNFINISHED. Cervantes wrote only part 1 and IN DON QUIXOTE there is a scene in which part one is BURNED and a character comments that it will never be any good without a second half. which he never wrote.

high honour arthur morgan is canon i will die on this hill. it never feels right to be low honour. ever. arthur does not enjoy violence or hurting people. do you honestly think a man with crippiling self-loathing and a desire to find good in the world because he has not been shown an ounce of it ever since he was born, would willingly kill strangers just because? this man battles with his morality every single day and even believes that his child and the mother of his child were taken from him because a bad person like him doesn't deserve anything good. he is literally not your big, strong alpha male who kills anyone who looks at him funny. he has been tied to criminality ever since he was born and has only known such ideologies because he has no other choice but to follow them. his blind loyalty ties him to such institutions. his love and respect are his hamartia. his willingness to do good by the people who have given him life is quite literally what got him killed.

Hank with an Eldritch Horror Reader

Here's another thing I wrote two years back! It was an interesting concept which I really liked, so I actually really enjoyed writing this request!

Hank J Wimbleton was a grunt of many things, but not one to be scared unless he had a good reason to be. There were many things in this world he did not understand, you were one of them. Upon meeting you, his first instinct would have been to either fight or run away - who could blame him, it was all he knew. No matter how many times you reassured him that the very last thing you wanted to do was to harm him, he’d draw his weapon, uncertain of whether or not he should believe your words.

Once you show no resistance towards him whatsoever and simply restrain him using your powers or other methods, that’s when, thrashing around as much as he could, he would start listening. You may or may not have seen a grunt up close, but this was your chance to finally examine one. As you scrutinise him from every possible angle Hank realises that you were simply curious about his being and finally lowers weapon.

Your voice would likely hurt his head and freeze the blood in his veins, so you might have to resort to telepathy or speak through a marionette, if you can find one. Though, once Hank’s interest in you has been piqued, he’d be more than happy to find you one. A lot of people in Nevada seem to be redundant in the first place. Regarding telepathy: You will be able to have a two-way conversation with Hank like that, but, for the most part, he doesn’t think in words. Still, he can do so, if needed.

If you’re on the rather small side, he will make an effort to pick you up, or hold you, and bring you back to base. Depending on whether you can float or not, this might be rather difficult, but he’ll try. If you’re large, however, then he will simply “tell” you to follow him. As an eldritch being you could likely either change your form or scare away anyone in your path in the first place, so he doesn’t particularly worry about anyone being stupid enough to attack you.

Spend time with him, he’ll get used to you more and more and, eventually, grow a bond with you. Proud, he’ll show you to Doc so he can figure out what you are, but do not be fooled. Hank wants to know what you are to some degree too. Once comfortable with you and certain you won’t harm him, he’ll start observing you, touching you to some degree. See how you react, how you feel, how you are.

Despite your conversations being, for the most part, one-sided, Hank will ask you directly what you are and if you’re some form of eldritch deity. Since you’re an amicable creature he can’t exactly wrap his head around, it’s worth a try.

Although he would like to do so to some degree, he won’t take you with him on missions. It’s his way of saying “I care a great deal about you, I don’t want you to die or worse even if you are capable of defending yourself.” If you really insist on aiding him, he will let you, begrudgingly. But beware that he will have your back. In fact, having you around will give him a greater reason to fight and improve his overall performance. Though, it will also be a major stress factor to him if something were to happen to you, so choose wisely.

thinking about immortal merlin going to a super famous artist who is known for having super lifelike paintings a few hundred years after arthur dies and telling them their story and having the artist paint arthur just by merlin’s descriptions instead of by a recreation with his magic and just reliving his life in camelot mentally while sitting on this artists couch as they bring arthur back to life for merlin

when considering Ashton's reasoning about Imogen continuing to give in to Predathos, that her being lost is inevitable and that it would be better if it happened now as opposed to later, it feels very important to remember what they said to Laudna when they first landed in Issylra, when she was terrified Imogen had become a moon-worshiping zombie in their separation: If she got blasted into space, we'll go to space. If she got vaporized, it's not like we didn't fucking find you. There is nothing else until this is dealt with. This is what we do, is we bring everybody back. Not only is nobody getting left behind very much Ashton's thing, but he specifically does not see Imogen being lost to Predathos as her being lost for good. (and tbh I agree, given how heavily the story since the start of the campaign has been leaning on her to confront this.) And even if it did, they'd still go through hell trying to get her back.

But it also makes me think of what Imogen told Ashton, after the shard; maybe this was destiny, like they thought it was. Maybe what they needed was to shatter into pieces and come back together. That same idea, of controlled burning, needing to confront something to overcome it, fuck yeah, jump into that lava and find yourself, to hurt is to heal - Ashton, we watched you break into a thousand tiny pieces. If she got vaporized, it's not like we didn't fucking bring you back.

this is just gonna be me bsing about the pixie chicks because I’m bored

in an old archived article it states that there was supposed to be a movie where tinks friend falls in love, he dies and the girl goes to a fairy band referred to as the pixie chicks and it looks like it goes with the brain freeze Entertainment storyboards

But completely unrelated to that is the bonus dvd that was supposed to release with the TB movie

These are different from the others as they don’t seem to include any other characters than the 3 girls

now what’s weird about the “If you Believe” short is that it was produced by Attitude Studios in 2007 in France unlike Ring of belief being done in India

Attitude Studios worked on mainly motion capture projects like Renaissance (2006) and video games which is why I find it weird they did the bonus short

but there’s not only the bonus dvd itself but the test shots of the girls

I’ve been slacking recently so i haven’t found any new clips of them but I’ve at least made a list of people who should have worked on this short
