The horrifying realisation I never told Tumblr about Cosmic Moonrise. And then the realisation that it involves talking about the Fazteam Cosmic Rangers lore. Oh gee oh man, I'll try keep this as non autistic as possible.

In GITM, fazco made a 80'/90's children's TV anime-like called Fazteam Cosmic Rangers, it's essentially lost media by the time the fic starts in 2055. Cosmic Moonrise is one of the hero characters who became corrupted in the TV show, becoming the villain we know as Noon. That's why he looks different. Noon is a theme park animatronic made to be the villain version of this character.

this is a little skyblings comic i made for the moonrise au by @germworms and i!! more details below vv

some general context if you're not familiar with the au: basically it's a life series/hermitcraft au about gods and humans and kingdoms and all that cool stuff :) pearl and grian are the current moon and sun gods respectively (their predecessors are joel and lizzie but there are other posts for their lore)

now onto the comic vv

a big concern of grians is becoming too overwhelmed with his position as sun god as that can cause a supernova and subsequently the destruction of the entire system soooo

all throughout childhood pearl has made it clear to him that she's always available to talk to and as a way of looking out for him she often (not maliciously) speaks on his behalf and allows him to be a recluse basically (she just really cares for him as they're both the only close family they really have; jimmys like a distant cousin in this au lmao)

when they were kids and coming to terms w the fact that they're literal gods w responsibilities pearl would try to tell grian the story of joel (prev sun god) and his fate in a very roundabout way as to not scare him but warn him about the pressures of his future position and encourage him to be open with her

(also ik stars are technically scott's thing in the au but the sun is also a star?? sooo it makes sense when in reference to grian/joel)

the dialogue is taken from shane koyczan's piece "for instance" i highly recommend checking it out!! all of his poetry is insane and heart wrenching

So me n @egooppidum are doing our multiplayer honour mode run and aside of the endless amount of bugs, the most recent one was me receiving HER as a reward from Alfira 😭

So…we knocked out Alfira in act 1 so my durge ass doesn't kill her, just for her to gift me @egooppidum 💀 (the player she had -40 approval with LMFAO)

i’m aware i’m 100% alone in this, but i genuinely adore ascended astarion (especially when romanced) because of how—frankly—horrific it is. it’s simultaneously so cathartic in its brutality but so unsatisfying personally while managing to be narratively satisfying (just as his other outcome is, of course).

Hello (⁠  ⁠◜∀◝⁠ ⁠)ﾉ⁠♡ I wanted to let you know that I love your style very much and that your comics n things r very cute! Also, I had a question (sorry if it's been asked before and I didn't see the answer); in your Sun and Moon drawings, the colors of their fingers seem to match each other instead of themselves, and I was wondering if there was any particular reason for that or if it was just a design choice? I think it's very cute that their fingers match and was kinda curious about it (⁠◠⁠‿◠)

I’m so sorry for not replying!! Also, thank you for the compliments! I’m glad you think they’re cute!!!

But, yeah! There’s kind of a reason, I think that maybe at first (when they first became…. Alive??) they had colors that coordinated with their own color schemes, but as time went on, they wanted to become matching! So, they begged asked Parts and Service to change the colors on their fingers, necks, and sleeves!

I also think that Sun would show off the colors proudly and Moon would be super flustered about it when people point it out.
