They all come with a second hand pose that you can switch out :3 the only issue is that the parts of the figure come apart easily, but that makes sense since im pretty sure these r older figs. Overall they are super cute and look nice next to my larger figures =^_^= 10/10

Quick Review: The Lucky List by Rachael Lippincott Rating: 4/5
Another light-hearted, easy read from Rachael Lippincott. I do love a simple, straight-forward little romance that doesn't require too much brainpower, but still has characters you care about and want to see get their happily ever after.

You Should Be So Lucky by Cat Sebastian
Tumblr media
We Could Be So Good by Cat Sebastian was one of my favorite books of 2023. It was the first novel by Cat Sebastian that I read and I've since read several more of her novels and novella. You Should Be So Lucky is her newest work and my new favorite by her.
You Should Be So Lucky is set in the same world as We Could Be So Good. It takes place a few years after the events of that book and features the same newspaper and its lead characters, Nick and Andy, in supporting roles. You don't need to read We Could Be So Good before you read You Should Be So Lucky, but if you do some scenes are especially enjoyable. On a similar note, there's also some great discussions about the queer themes of The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson in the book. Again, you don't need to have read the horror classic, but readers who have will probably really enjoy these references!
The story follows Mark, who was a supporting character in We Could Be So Good, as he is assigned by Andy to do a series of articles on a newly transferred baseball player named Eddie. Eddie has gotten some bad press recently and is having a terrible season with his new team. Mark, who has suffered his own major loss, sees potential in Eddie's story and decides to take the job.
What I love most about You Should Be So Lucky are the characters. I did not expect to instantly love Mark and Eddie, but both characters are relatable in different ways and very likable. I love romance novels where the characters are enjoyable separately and together; these two characters and their relationship are examples of that done perfectly. Both of their POVs were a delight to read, and their scenes together crackled with chemistry and were so incredibly sweet. I was completely invested in their story within a few chapters!
I also love the themes of the novel. The story is largely about overcoming personal obstacles and coping with grief and big life changes. The themes are echoed in both Mark and Eddie's stories but also in the stories of some of the wonderful side characters. Still, even with the heavier theme, the novel's tone stays hopeful and light. The characters and their resilience feel inspiring and celebratory instead of ever being maudlin or cynical.
You Should Be So Lucky is my favorite kind of romance novel. The characters are great, the romance often had me wanting to squeal like a teenager, and there's depth beyond even the romance. It's a romance with layers that uses baseball as a lovely metaphor for life.
Cat Sebastian has quickly become one of my favorite romance writers and this is the best book that I've read by her. If you enjoy historical queer romance, I can't recommend her books enough, especially You Should Be So Lucky!
My Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Tropes/Tags: achillean, queer, romance, historical romance, sports romance, grumpy/sunshine
Spice Level: 🌶️🌶️/5. There are multiple sex scenes that are "Open Door" but not super descriptive.
Content Warnings: grief, period-typical homophobia
If you liked this I think you will like You Should Be So Lucky: Any fans of well-written m/m romance - especially fans of sport or historical romance, should love this.

You Should Be So Lucky will be released on May 7, 2024, and is available for pre-order!
This book was made available to me in advance thanks to NetGalley! I received a free digital copy of this book in exchange for this review. The above are my honest feelings on the provided book.

Tumblr media
I don’t think I have expressed my love enough for Shen Yue on this blog enough. I love her as an actress! All I’ve her works make me smile EXCEPT (Another Me)! Not her fault the writing was just shitty! Let’s also address the age gap. Yes it is big, 20 years to be exact. Are there times I wish they cast someone closer to her age, yes, but overall Jerry does an amazing job and you barely notice the age gap between them, so get over it!
Tumblr media
All this to say, let’s get into this one. I know I talk a lot about my comfort shows and this is one of them. The way her and Jerry commit to their roles and play so well off each other makes watching this show so fun every time I watch it.
The bad guys really have you feeling some type of way. The two second love interests have you feeling sorrow and pity. The plot line though super implausible still makes for a compelling watch! If you were ever an Ugly Betty fan, this show will give you Ugly Betty vibes and I live for it!
Tumblr media
If I am one thing I am consistent, I absolutely love the second and third love stories. I’m also super invested in the subplots and history between all the characters. This show takes you for a ride, and you will enjoy it!
Let’s talk commitment because this is a Chinese drama so it is long! 45 minutes at 34 episodes. This is one I can drop in and out of so I don’t mind the length, I’ll binge a couple one day and come back a few days later no problem. Also no reason to sit and binge it all at once, it is good, but not that good!
All the actors are handsome. All the actresses are gorgeous! It is a visually fun show with the colors and fashion. 8/10.
Tumblr media
Music wise, Jerry Yan and Shen Yue have a track on the OST, it is not one of my favs, but it does pop up in rotation for me! Jerry is such a talented singer I could listen to him sing anything! Of course Shen Yue is also good on the track as well.

I should have known. I know I should have known. But I am losing my mind over Jesse Armstrong’s writing credits.
If this man can go from writing for kids tv, to creating/writing iconic British sitcoms and sketch shows, to creating one of the greatest tv shows of all time, you really can do anything.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ D@mn it, @a.m.bellefleur! I read all your books and now I have to wait until the next one is out which is NEXT YEAR! How dare you. 💔 All jokes aside, this was by far my favourite one. I think the fact that the last two books had Margot in them, so by the time the third book comes along, you wanna know her story. I have to say that Margot and Annie's relationship made me both laugh and cry. The puns, the realness. Everything. The whole misunderstanding each other, not talking to each other, and thinking different things for the past 11 years, only to be together again, but in some ways, in such a better way. The 🍆🐱 scene was my favourite. The 👅🤚 scenes were h0t. I'm pretty sure I'm Margot. And I loved the ending. I just love all of Alexandria's books. She's made it to the top of my favourite authors' list.

Review: Lucky Girl by Jamie Pacton Rating: 4/5
This was a lovely contemporary about a girl trying to decide what to do after she accidentally wins the lottery. Jane was a sweet character and it was so easy to empathise with her complicated situation, especially with her mother. And I loved the incidental bisexuality representation. My only qualm with the entire book was the horrible Australian accent in the audiobook. Americans need to stop trying to sound like us, y'all just can't get it right.

Just got out of the worst ghost tour in my life. I had to invent an excuse to get us out of it early after THREE AND A HALF HOURS (it was advertised as being an hour and a half) and the guy still had the audacity to ask for a tip
From one (former) ghost tour guide to another…eat shit and die

Pleasantly Surprised
I don't watch a lot of Thai dramas that are not BL-centric. The first one I completed, I only pulled through because I pulled through every other adaptation of it too, it wasn't even the worst adaptation. The second one, I stopped watching it because it was so boring. Not gonna lie, when I reached the middle part of My Lucky Star, I was very close to dropping this show as well. From the very minimal heteronormative Thai dramas I've watched or tried watching, I noticed slow pacing usually comes with the shows.
I am quite thankful I completed My Lucky Star because wow, those last few episodes were such a ride. So, let's back up a little. The beginning of this drama was good. I was thoroughly intrigued to see how the Thai adaptation will differ from the Taiwanese drama. Then reaching the second quarter, there came a point when it became obvious I cannot compare both adaptations anymore because the Thai version was differing quite a bit. At this point, I was still interested to see what is going to happen. It was during the third quarter, the classic third-act breakup if you understand, that truly bored me. This drama really could have cut down on several episodes because the third-act breakup episodes were actually unhelpful to the entire drama. Then the last quarter, honestly expected some of it but did not expect it to go exactly how it went in the drama.
Ultimately, it's all good. I liked that I finished this show because it's not a bad show. Can it be compared to the Taiwanese version? Hell no, the Taiwanese version holds a very special place in my heart. However, disregarding that this is an adaptation from another, My Lucky Star is good.
I would have loved it more if instead of prolonging the third act, they prolonged the last act. Starting from Phrao engaging Pond to accuse Chomjan of committing a crime.
Last but not least, I hate the fact that not once did Night acknowledge the fact that Chomjan is his lucky star. The whole point of calling this drama My Lucky Star is to show through even the minute details that no matter what tough shit the main male character goes through, he always pulls through because of the main female character. Yet Night didn't even call her his lucky star. I must say, I am a little peeved.
Rating: ★★★☆☆
