Light walks into the office, cranky and tense. He snaps at Matsuda to move out of the way, making his way to his cubicle and sitting in his chair with a bit more force than necessary.

Matsuda turns to his coworker Naomi and says in a lowered tone, "Jeez, what's his deal?"

Naomi responds dryly. "He's probably like that because he hasn't been laid in a while."

The two snicker, holding in their laughs.

A few feet away, L turns to look at them curiously, looking thoughtful, as if something just crossed his mind.

The next day Light arrives in surprisingly good spirits, this time greeting Matsuda with a chipper tone and a smile. And also, quite strangely, Light seems to be favoring one leg, his gait slightly off.

Naomi and Matsuda look at the other confused.

L didn’t know what to say. He couldn’t reason with B. He had no desire to change the trajectory of the future by reconciling the past. This wasn’t good. He couldn’t have B backing out. He quickly thought up a resolution to end this bickering and satisfy Beyond’s need for closure; a quick way to make Beyond stop demanding an apology he was never going to receive, a redirection from the guilt and shame he’d always run from. L eyed B intently for a short moment before he charged forwards, clenching the collar of B’s shirt in his hands and kissing him forcefully.

Angsty Lawlight idea, because after coming up with a happy AU my brain decided it needed to think about something filled with angst.

I apologise for this

So in the helicopter when Light grabs the notebook L KNOWS that’s not Light he KNOWS that’s Kira and he knows it has something to do with the notebook…but he doesn’t grab the notebook he doesn’t take it away.

Because he wanted to win and he wanted to be right.

It’s only after he realises and really understands that he gave up Light to have it he sacrificed the person he loves let him disappear because there is no trace of Light left in Kira he’s gone…and he let it happen.

He knows he’s going to die, he can see Kira planning something he knows, but he can’t bring himself to care, he let Light die and when he apologises in the rain scene he’s apologies to the person he knows is no longer there.

…Yep I hate myself for this, why dose my brain make things more upsetting 

But yeah fic idea, extra angsty if L and Light were in a relationship but also super angsty if it was mutual pining.

3. Our Bodies, Possessed By Light: L. Lawliet is a gifted photographer who believes he has understood the light and its secrets. Light Yagami is a young, unstable and slightly crooked model. Together, they kill time.

modeling and photography au. make sure to read all teh tags and warnings for this one; there’s nothing gross, but some potentially triggering subjects for some people are in here. multi chapter. 81,218 words.

4. Hearts and Spades: Which would you choose? Love or death? RaitoL, slight AU.

short but sweet piece featuring that classic fanfiction dot net era vibe, an emo-ass playing card metaphor (/pos), and a recounting of l’s death scene that made me sad over him all over again (also /pos). and also light being obnoxious, but it’s death note, so that’s usually a given, lol. one shot. 1,801 words.

5. Not Quite Drowning: Sometimes Light ponders happiness. L/Light

a short lawlight and light character study. i like it a lot, and i don’t usually like light, so that should tell you something about how well i think it’s written! one shot. 424 words.

♡ 6. Water, water, water: In the bath, they forget they’re a detective and a suspect; they remove these identities along with their clothes, layer by layer until there are only the handcuffs left. And them; facing the other in the eerie calmness of their bathroom.

At least, it’s how Light sees it.

♡ 3. Do Gay Penguins Go to Hell?: Too many New Year snacks bring about a family discussion between L, Raito and their daughter about healthy diet, common sayings and nature of good and evil. And gay penguins, of course. AU

a really darling kid fic, based on teh stupid, homophobic controversy over that adorable kids’ book about teh gay penguin couple. one shot. 3,791 words.

4. A Feeling: It's LxLight fluff! This takes place after Light was confined and lost his memories, chained to L. : D SO YUS. SOME FLUFF FOR YAH D: Hope you leik it :D
