Official - Adrastus & Darius
WOHEO Masterlist
Just a little something to celebrate these two <3
cw: none really, just a lot of kissing :3
———————————————————————
Adrastus was looking at him.
Lord, Adrastus was looking at him.
Darius’ heart picked up pace at the sight, their tight gaze making its piercing way into him. They stood between an avid conversation, paying their surrounding group less than no attention. Rather, to him.
He had half a mind to pretend he wasn’t staring, wasn’t studying their every magnetizing feature. Fortunately, he was no doubt utterly caught in their sultry gaze. He was simply unable to pry his stuck eyes away.
Sounds turned to buzz filtering through his ears, instead captivated by their firm stride as they headed toward him with their unfiltered determination. Heart pounding out of his chest, Darius gnawed on his lip with a flustered anxiety only they could stir within him.
“Why hello, Lord Darius.”
Creamy and smooth, their words licked his ears. “Pleasure to run into you here, Adrastus.” He tipped his head, hiding his nervousness with practiced expertise.
Brushing down his arm, their touch sent a stifled shiver down his spine. “I have some business we must discuss… mind if I steal you for a moment?” Adrastus cocked their head gingerly, a glint of knowing glittering in their eye that sucked him right in.
“N- no!” Darius exclaimed, eagerly.
“Splendid! Why don’t we go somewhere a bit more private? Follow along, love.”
They made their quick and nimble around the countless vampires bumbling around, hand in an iron clutch around his wrist as they took him along in a maze around the mansion. Although he wanted to, very much so, he failed to inquire exactly where they were going. That was, until they finally stopped and shoved him right swiftly through the door of a tightly fit closet.
Darius took a breath as they shut the door behind them. “What did you need me for?” He questioned, stupidly pretending as if he didn’t already know.
“Oh, don’t play dumb.” They waved off his words, before cupping his cheeks and pulling him to their level, upturning their plush lips. “May I?”
Darius leaned right in, welcoming their touch in full. “Yes. Please.”
Fingers messily curling over each other as they pressed their mouth to his, his own dipping over their puckered, softly tender lips. He greeted them back with his own excitement, breath hitching, following along as they danced around his skin.
Darius loved them.
He’d never loved someone like he did them, and it was no short of exhilarating.
Their grin, their giggle, their voice, all of it quickened the pleasant pulse of his heart, flushing his mind and cheeks with the red heat of attraction. He couldn’t say anyone he’d been with before, a small number of people anyway, ever did the same.
Soon enough the two descended to the floor, back pressed up firmly to the door as Adrastus trailed down his neck with their pecks of saccharine nature. He hoped they wouldn’t stop. He didn’t want them to let go, not one bit.
For a moment their movement ceased, sniffing at his throat. “Hm… perfume? How sweet. You must’ve had a hunch we would run into one another, didn’t you?”
Impossibly he flushed further, looking off from their teasing gaze. “Stop messing with me…” he didn’t really mean it, merely wanting to cover how much he adored their taunting.
“Oh, but you’re so cute! How could I not?” Chuckling, they swept right back in for another kiss.
“F- fine…” he whispered, melting right back to their touch on the spot.
Slumped against one closet wall, Adrastus underneath the heap of two bodies, Darius curled up over their chest with the pair’s knees buckled against one another’s. The two sat in silence, smears of dark colored lipstick spotting Darius’ pale skin, and Adrastus twirled his hair about their fingers, tickling at the pricks of his scalp. The air was warm with a twist of their breath, stuffing the closet with cozy heat.
“So.” Darius started, voice hushed and soft as he carefully shifted his weight off of them and back to his knees.
Adrastus kindly flicked a strand of his ginger hair into place, crooking their head with interest. “So?”
“What, um…” prying his gaze off of theirs, he twiddled his thumbs with idiotic nervousness. He was doing it. He was doing it. “What might this mean for us? These little meet ups of ours?”
They grinned, taking his hands in theirs and circling his pale knuckles with clammy thumbs. “What would you like it to mean?”
He bit his lip. “I’d rather… not be an occasional fling for you.” The flush of his face must have been painfully obvious, and he drooped in shame at the thought. He hoped they hadn’t taken notice in the dim lighting.
“I wouldn’t prefer it either. What would you find better than that?” They spoke so casual, so unbothered, as if they were not one bit flustered by such a topic. It only reeled him in more, the urge to connect lips once again growing.
He shook his head, holding his cheeks and straightening his posture. “I feel stupid. This feels childish.”
They giggled, drawing closer. “Don’t you say that. You must know by now I think embarrassment is particularly delightful on you.” They pinched his red cheek, pecking him right on the crooked nose.
“Hmph.” Darius huffed lightly, leaning right in to their perfect touch.
“Adorable.” With honeydew sweetness they dipped forward and into him, face tickling the nape of his neck as they nestled inside.
“I, um, Adrastus…”
“Yes?”
Gingerly intertwining thier fingers between one another’s, he could just feel their face soften with tenderness. “I’d like you to be my partner. If you so see it fit.”
The huffed a warm, lovely breath that rolled over his flesh. “What a lovely idea. I never would have thought of it.” The two vampires chuckled in a mixture, a smidge of anxiousness tinting both sounds. “Gladly will I be your partner, Darius. I look forward to it.”
“Good. Good.” His smile grew, as much as he hated it, teeth flashing and all.
“Now,” they began, supplying a sly look as they pressed a hand to his ruffled shirt, closing the distance between them. “What do you say we get back to our business, shall we?”
“A wonderful idea.”

Come One, Come All (dark!Loki x reader)
Tumblr media
Summary: A girls night out to the fair takes an insidious turn.
Warnings: Noncon/Rape, knife play, oral (m&f), smut, bondage, kidnapping.
This is a dark fic! 18+ ONLY! Explicit Adult content. Please READ THE WARNINGS! Do not continue if these matters upset you!
Authors Note: I wrote another one! No idea where this came from, but it was fun to write. Still working on improving my smut, huge thanks to @darkficsyouneveraskedfor for some tips and editing the shit out of it. 😘 also I know there is a creepy clown in the pic but I feel like I have to say there aren’t any clowns in the fic. I hate clowns.
Chapter 1:
It was the kind of summer night you dream about, warm enough to keep you comfortable in your shorts and peasant top, but with a light breeze that keeps you cool enough to fight the flush of alcohol in your veins. You look forward to these moments when you are able to go out with your girlfriends and let loose, forgetting about all life’s responsibilities, if just for a single night.
“Come on!” Ash calls over her shoulder, her hand tight around your wrist pulling you impatiently.
“Aww but that looks so good” you groan as you press your face longingly against the glass barrier of the hand dipped corn dog cart.
The sweet scent of the frying corn dough wafts tantalizingly through the air making your mouth water. You friends laugh at your theatrics, having just helped you scarf down a large sugary funnel cake and a platter of nachos, the evidence of which still stains the corner of your mouth. Really, it was their fault for getting you tipsy before taking you to the county fair, everything just smelled heavenly and if you could you would try one of everything.
“Just a slushee?!” You beg as Jen steps behind you and pushes you out of the food court, giggling the entire time.
“Come on, fight the drunchies! You promised you would try that new funhouse,” Jen whines, looping her arm through yours, Ash doing the same on the other side.
“Oh yeah,” you grumble.
“Oh stop it” Ash scolds playfully. “Everyone at work keeps talking about it - it’s like a mini escape room! And I’ve always wanted to do one, please.” She rants excitedly before giving you her best puppy dog eyes.
“Ugh that’s cheating. No one can resist those big brown eyes” you pout, but yield as easily as they knew you would.
“I know” Ash smirks, tossing back her long silky black hair over her slender shoulder.
“This is gonna be so much fun, I promise” Jen bumps your hip, giving you a wide encouraging smile.
You manage a strained grin as you let them lead you through the crowd. It’s not that you don’t like funhouses or the idea of doing an escape room, having always loved solving riddles and doing puzzles. It’s just you don’t like clowns, and every funhouse in your experience has at least one.
“Oh damn there’s a line!” Jen moans as you all stop in front of a large structure covered in flashing lights, the ominous ‘Tricksters Trap’ bathing your face in a violent red glow.
Garish contrasting colors somehow both attract your eye and make it hard to look at. Your pupils dilate with the lines of fluorescent bulbs burning into your retinas. The stereotypical circus music blares through the cheap speakers, reminding you of one of those old Jack in the box toys. And of course, without fail, was the obligatory clown statue hanging over the entrance, like some creepy sentinel there to guide you to your inevitable demise.
“Ugh fucking clowns” you grimace as you pass by the entrance, heading toward the end of the line.
“Yeah they definitely nailed the creep factor,” Jen agrees, her eyes shining with nervous excitement.
“I know isn’t it great?!” Ash squeals.
You stand there taking in the horrific detailing painted on the side of the metal structure. You are thankful when Ash explains there is a time limit, only ten minutes to complete the puzzle or else they kick you out and you have to try again. If you figure out the puzzle you get to leave through the mirror maze and you earn the coveted “I tricked the Trickster” sticker.
“Gotta get that sticker, or else that bitch Katie at work will never let me forget that she got one and I didn’t” Ash complains, causing you and Jen to share a look and snicker.
“Hey! Don’t laugh, this is serious! We gotta be smart and figure this out, failure is not an option” she urges dramatically before collapsing into drunken giggles with you and Jen.
“You ladies seem eager to prove yourselves,” slithers a low voice.
Startled you gasp and spin around quickly. The three of you look up at the tall lean figure standing behind you. He wears a perfectly tailored black ensemble, that matches the color of his slicked back hair. His eyes practically glow green against his alabaster complexion. His sharp cheekbones and angular jaw make your breath hitch, causing his thin lips to curve into a sinister smirk. He is stunning.
“Um, yeah. Well this place has the whole town buzzin’. Seems like everyone is talking about it” Jen is the first to speak.
“Ah I see. Wouldn’t want to miss your chance to take a stab at it” the mysterious man surmised, eyes focused on you.
“We got this shit. Right guys?” Ash assures him as she playfully smacks you and Jen.
“Well, I guess we’ll find out. Good luck,” he challenges with a raise of a brow.
You stare after him as he saunters away without another word. His hips and shoulders sway smoothly, his soft footsteps giving him a dangerous almost feline vibe, like he could rival even the most deadly of predators. As he turns to round the corner of the ride he takes one last look over his shoulder at you. Your eyes lock for only a fraction of a second but it’s enough to send a chill down your spine.
“That was weird, right?” You mutter, eyes still transfixed where he disappeared.
“Eh, just another creepy dude. If I had a nickel for every weirdo who tries to chat me up…” Jen jokes.
“You’d have like a whole 50 cents,” sasses Ash.
You are finally broken from your daze when Ash is pushed into you. You laugh and try to brush off the lingering effect of the handsome stranger, shifting your focus back to your friends. The line goes by quicker than expected, with only one group out of the three ahead of you making it out with stickers. The losing groups return to the line from a back door, bickering about where they went wrong.
Finally it is your turn. Ash claps her hands excitedly, dancing up the metal stairs to the costumed man at the entrance. His red and white stripped suit is expertly torn and painted with fake blood to make him look as intimidating as possible. With a tip of his top hat he welcomes the three of you and begins to explain the rules in his well practiced accent.
“Come one come all to the Tricksters Trap, if you’re feeling lost, just go find the map.” He sings with flair and a perfectly timed bow, directing you to the inauspicious black door.
Taking a deep breath you follow your squealing friends into the darkened hallway. Pausing to look back as the door creaks shut, cutting off the jovial sounds of laughter and chatter with a sudden slam. You flinch at the loud noise and turn back to the dim hallway. The short corridor is lined with wall to wall green velvet curtains barely visible with the green rope lights running along the ceiling.
“Guys?” You whisper when you don’t see them next to you, causing your heart rate to quicken
You call for them again, this time louder, your feet unwilling to move from the spot. It has only been thirty seconds and you are already about to call it quits. Get a grip. You take a hesitant step forward.
“You guys?!” You call shakily.
“Hey! Come on we found the map!” Jen pokes her head from around the corner at the end of the hall.
She disappears just as quickly, waving her arm for you to follow. You breathe a sigh of relief and rush after her. You enter a large room filled with all sorts of random objects. It’s as if it is designed to overload your senses. The green from the hall carried on into the room, more velvet green curtains hung on the walls that were not obstructed by shelves of books or other oddities. You saw everything from perfectly aligned glass jars filled with alien looking creatures, grandfather clocks, to treasure chests overflowing with grizzled toys.
Jen and Ash are hunched over a table with a map spread out smoothly. It was easy enough to see it was a map of the room and hallway, with what appeared to be three small rooms hidden along the wall behind the heavy green drapery. You go over and pull back a curtain and find a locked door, the other two also hiding a locked door.
“Ok so it looks like we gotta find a way to open these doors” you offer, your anxiety calming a bit as you focus on the mystery at hand.
“Hey look there is some sort of code over here by the lock on the door.” Ash hollers excitedly.
You each pick a door code and frantically search the room. It doesn’t take long for you to figure out you need to use the books on the large shelf along one wall. The first number tells you the book the second refers to a specific page. You find a slip of paper in the book with a riddle written in a blood red ink.
“I make two people out of one” You read aloud.
“You can hold me in one hand, but I’m used to fill the room” Ash reads hers, her face twisting in concentration.
You both look to Jen, “I have two hands, but I can’t clap.”
“Damn no wonder so many people failed, definitely wish I wasn’t drunk right now” Ash laughs.
“No no we can do this, it’s probably items in the room so let’s just focus. We’ll do one at a time.” You assert, pacing the room and trying to take in all the random objects.
“Two hands…” you mutter as you stop in front of a large grandfather clock. “Clocks have hands!” You yell excitedly and open the narrow door.
The heavy pendulums swing inside and you see a shining silver glint off the rounded golden end. You pull off the small silver key, stuck on by a tiny magnet, and jump in excitement.
“Holy crap! You’re a genius!” Jen exclaims running over to take the key and try it in the door.
The key slides in smoothly and the door opens with a gratifying click.
“Woo! Keep going, you are on a roll!” Ash claps as she cheers you on.
“Ok, ok” you giggle before taking a deep breath. “Two people out of one… maybe a camera? Or wait…” you realize as you stare at Ash currently checking her makeup in an antique mirror hung between two curtains.
“Ash! Try pulling on that mirror!” You yell pointing frantically at the mirror in front of her.
Her brows knit together briefly before understanding, grabbing the frame and tugging gently until it swings open, revealing a key hung on the wall.
“Yes!” You all shriek together.
Suddenly, the lights flicker and a loud maniacal cackle reverberates through the surround sound speaker, turning your elation into yelps of surprise.
“Two minutes left” a familiar polished voice echoes forebodingly throughout the room.
“Shit, that scared the crap out of me” Jen laughs clutching at her chest.
The warning gives you pause, managing to shift the spirit of the whole room. Ash giggles nervously as she watches the lights of the room transition from their previous dim yellow light to a menacing red hue. The mood lighting in addition to the increasing volume of the horror soundtrack playing over the speaker helps to put you back into your initial anxious state.
“Seriously? Is this fucking necessary?” You curse, shaking your head.
“Ok let’s get the last one guys! We can still do this!” Jen yells through the cacophony of sound effects.
“Yeah what can we fit in our hand but somehow also fills the room?” Ash reiterated the final riddle.
“These red lights make it so much harder to see” Jen complains bitterly as she rummages through the items inside a large chest.
“Lights… Jen that’s it! A lightbulb!” A smile breaks out on your face as you figure out the final clue.
“Look up there!” Ash points to a solitary darkened light bulb screwed into the ceiling.
“I got it.” Jen jumps onto the table and reaches up, unscrewing it quickly. “There is a key inside!” She shouts.
She unscrews the bottom of the fake lightbulb and received the key before handing it to Ash. Each of you run over to the corresponding doors and turn the key, squealing in delight when they all slide open.
“Is that it?” Jen asks looking into the cramped dark space behind the door.
It was little more than a closet. Barely enough room for each of you to stand in. You were at a loss. You could have sworn that would be the end.
“Guys there is a lever here on the back wall of mine, how about yours?” Ash’s muffled voice calls from inside her closet.
“Oh yeah mine too!” Jen replies.
“Do you think we have to pull them at the same time? ‘Cus mine did nothing when I tried it” Ash says poking her head out to look at you.
“Thirty seconds!” That haunting voice booms again as a tick clock sounds through the speakers, counting down your final moments.
“Ok let’s try it together!” You nod at both of them, before stepping into the tight dark space.
“THREE! TWO! ONE!” You shout, mirroring your friends calls, pulling down your lever with a snap.
There is a moment of silence as the lights of the room behind you suddenly go dark, the music and sound effects cutting off instantly.
“Did we get it?!” You yell.
You don’t get the chance to hear your friends response as the wood door slams behind you, locking you into the small space.

gone with the wind.
Tumblr media
heeseung wasn't the creator of the universe, but he was your entire world, and you were willing to turn a blind eye to his disloyalty if it meant that he'd stay with you.
pairingㅡ heeseung x fem!reader (ft. jay).
genreㅡ angst, fluff.
warningsㅡ heeseung is an asshole, and a fuckboy.
word countㅡ 2.6k
disclaimerㅡ I am not knowledgeable within the business world, and i certainly am not a witness of how employers promote their employees.
The shadows that followed your form like a Pied Piper produced a wary rhythm that scattered across every corridor of your veins, the nightly breeze that stung your face held your heart in its grasp, squeezing, extracting your sense of pugnacity, forcing you on your knees, calling, whispering in your ears,
Why do you desire what you cannot acquire?
Why do you long for someone's touch? Someone that only desires himself?
It wasn't your first encounter with Ethan's straying eyes. Beautiful orbs as dark as ebony, gaze as sharp as tungsten, behind the curtains that dangle from his sinful truth, there lies a hunger that can never reach satisfaction, yearning for the taste of one more kiss for the night, one more body to hold in his sheets.
The number of opportunities the world gave you in order to keep your head straight, keep your chin held high, mind persistent on your own necessities, like your career that recently had been at the top of the pedestal, your home that had become a penthouse suite a week ago because of your intelligent hardwork.
At the back of your mind, you chose to discard these thoughts. Everyday, you could achieve another line of recognition in your work, the field you were most passionate about. The royal blue mermaid gown didn't entice Ethan enough to form a song with solely the thought of you. No lingering lips from another woman, no repeated amounts of second chances, just you and your sweet melodies. None of that occured.
That apex of the night, you shone brighter than the stars, glowed stronger than the moon.
You were dazzling.
Your skin could rival the smoothest gold, the details of your dress twinkling under the large chandeliers that hung atop your silky, beautiful hair. The Sapphire jewelry set you had just bought with full paper the day before brought out the alluring beauty of your eyes, the most tantalizing part of you, according to Ethan.
But, not even your most desirable features could bring the source of your pain on his knees. The dysphoria that etched itself onto your face magnetized his eyes for a split second.
Was it that difficult to properly look you in the eye?
You were beautiful, of course. Albeit, the most beautiful goddess that Ethan ever held. The confidence that ambushed your throat vanished as Ethan's arm snuck around the woman's waist, his lips that was once kissing your ear last night were now on the woman stuck to his form, well aware of your eyes on him, well aware of the hurt that formed in your chest, well aware that the tears you have been holding back the entire event would come crashing down any minute soon.
"I love you, [Name]." He used to say after spending the night in your bed. You were too naive to care, too timid to dig deeper into the honesty of his words. To you, he was flawed, but never in your favor. He was the ice cream that encircled around your tongue whenever you felt conflicted, the peaceful serenity that embraced your ears when your world was close to collapsing. That was your biggest mistake.
Ethan was a jerk. A bastard that continued to disregard your feelings, a monster that claws at your emotions until you fall into an abyss of darkness, shrouding over you until you suffocate.
You closed the door to your penthouse, your tall shoes thumping across the polished marble floor, tears now cascading down your pretty pink cheeks. Maybe, just maybe, Jake was right. You were a fool for wanting Ethan. You were a fool for allowing another fool to brush you off his shoulder. He was a puzzle you were never meant to fix, a maze you were never destined to enter. You were now nearing the end, your tiny feet scrambling to leave this labyrinth you've been caging yourself in.
Ethan wasn't the only man on Earth.
And, you bet he wasn't the only man you'll ever love.
"How was the ball, cupcake?" The man within your pallet had asked, voice deep and raspy, but still curious and soulful. He was rubbing his eyes, ripped muscles and evident veins littering his skin, eyebrows scrunched up as he forces himself awake. You wiped your tears away, taking your heels off as you allowed the coat to slip past your shoulders.
You sat in front of your looking glass, gentle fingertips removing your earrings. Two large, calloused hands slipped around your shoulders, kissing the exposed skin before disassembling the lock in your necklace.
"It was, hmm, how do I say this... Quite eventful?" You chuckled softly, fingers coming up to rub the hand resting on your shoulder. He bent down to kiss your cheeks, mumbling about how courageous and strong you were for facing the most afflictive quandary in your life. All alone, you've watched Ethan kiss another girl, make love to another girl, all alone in your little daydream of pursuing yourself that Ethan was a man that has been damaged, a man that needed another person's warmth.
Fully aware that you were deteriorating slowly, fully aware that you chose to ignore it, so long as Ethan still came home to you.
"Thank you, Jongseong." You sighed, the kisses that were scattered on your neck lulling you into sleep.
"Princess, don't sleep on me. We still need to take your makeup off, and take a bath." He warned you gently, applying micellar water on your face with a cotton pad. You smiled, your heart swelling from the undivided attention, something Ethan couldn't give you. After he had finished wiping off the last bit of your lipstick, he pulled you up and unzipped your dress, allowing you to step out of it. He gawked at you, eyes ogling up and down your figure.
You were marvelous.
The faint dimples on the small of your back, the little lovehandles you had, the cellulite that cluttered on your thighs, the little stretchmarks that had formed on the sides of your tummy. They were all so gorgeous, so, so breathtaking in the eyes of the man before you, eyes twinkling with unrealistic amounts of love. "All for me?" He asked cheekily, causing you to slap his chest lightly. You sweet laugh grazed his earlobes, kissing him, shrouding him.
"You're so beautiful. I hope you know that." He spoke, hands rubbing up and down your arms. You looked up and smiled at him, your cheeks heating up from the confession. "I know, you remind me everyday."
The morning came and greeted the both of you like a happy little kid, it reminded you of Sunoo. Bright, innocent, and hard-working. He was the sweetest little angel, so pure that you were almost fooled he was your long lost little brother. "Good morning, beautiful." A groggy, raspy, deep voice resounded from behind you, muscular arms wrapping tighter around your chest, nose shoved at the nape of your neck, inhaling your sweet, mature scent.
"Good morning to you, too, handsome." He sighed exasperatedly, nuzzling the tip of his nose into your scalp. "I adore the aroma of your shampoo."
You pushed his shoulder away, opting to turn around and face him. You gave his nose a kiss, your thumb rubbing smooth lines across his cheekbone. "Let's get up, big boy, work starts in an hour and a half."
After finishing your breakfast, which was done by the both of you (of course, your pancakes were with maple syrup and his with an entire jar of honeyㅡ) got dressed, but not after a quick occurrence of love making in the bathroom. For the first time in your entire being, someone brought you to work. Jongseong himself let himself in despite the rivalry between your companies, greeting the workers and staff as they pass by.
He brought you to your office, kissing you tenderly before leaving shortly, engaging in a little warfare of who could declare their love the deepest.
Of course, your competitive boyfriend won.
You could still feel the delicious warmth of his lips on your as he says "I love you more than Heroes of Storm." You could still feel his hands on your waist as he sits you down your desk, his tongue prying.
Lost in your little daydream, your secretary knocked on the door, informing you that the Chief Executive Officer longed for your presence in the conference and room. You arrived shortly, all eyes on your gorgeous figure and miniscule, flawless face as your PA closed the door in your tow. Expectedly, the man of your nightmares was equally as daunting in the presence of the room, the gentle humming of the air-conditioner reminding you that you were in a place of professionalism, not your personal escapade.
You sat in the only seat available, parallel to the CEO, right next to the left of Ethan. Your PA stood behind you, fiddling with the folders and papers in her hand. You tugged at the ends of your maroon blazer, your skirt the same color. Your pencil skirt and tall heels were black, pearl earrings a bright contrast to the black onyx of your designer shoes. Your cheeks were pink, lips adorning the same color, eyes sparkling with casual confidence, causing Ethan's eyebrows to furrow.
Weren't you just on the brim of crying your eyes out yesterday?
Why the fuck were you glowing?
"Good morning, ladies. Good morning, gentlemen." A series of polite responses welcomed the ears of the chairman, standing up with his hands clasped together. "The following six months were quite the effort, weren't they? The panel and I have discussed the possibility of a President, soon to replace the retiring Mrs. Min."
Murmurs of who they wanted to lead them hollered around the crisp air of the alcove. Your name came in the picture of gossiping workers, but the smile on your face soon turned sour after hearing Ethan's name in the air. Your smile could have faltered if it weren't for your newfound strength to face challenges head on, to face the fresh antagonism between you and Ethan.
A sly smirk graced Ethan's unbelievably handsome face. You've missed the cheeky quirk of his eyebrow, the serrated glint in his eyes, the burning touch of his fingertips, and his gorgeous face. You've craved for them more than anything in the world these past few days, but not even Ethan's remorseless persistence could govern Jay's latency in your life. Ethan was a pest, Jay was a miracle that was given to you.
The exemplification was enough.
The Jay Park, the CEO and President of Park Enterprises was the one that held your heart.
Not even your past with Ethan could compare to that.
"We have come to a conclusion. It was quite the handful to decide, but our verdict was unanimous." The chairman concluded, causing everyone's blood to stiffen, curious, biting, curiously waiting, demanding for the designated name to be called in their seats, eyes boring into the man in front of them. "We have decided, that, from this day on, Ms. [Name] Yang will be your latest luminary."
The crowd squealed in delight, inappropriate within the occasion, but appreciated, nevertheless. You stood up to bow to the chairman, your new position in the company greatly satisfying, justifying your hardwork. The image of vengeance never crossed your mind, but with Ethan, dumbfounded and in disbelief of your success, being here, on the time of your prosperity, was breathtaking, to say the least.
The gentle monikers you've given him proved worthless as you bowed in front of him, the red that clouded his vision powerful enough to physically manhandle you, force you into submission, force you below him. His hands itched to paint your skin red, stain your mind with him and his rough palms, make you feel the anger and dissatisfaction you've caused him. His head was in a swirl, the radiance of your skin and your smile pushing him off a cliff, your elegance draping him with your beauty.
But, why?
Why was he feeling this way? You were just another whore that fell in his mousetrap.
Why were you suddenly the only prize he wanted to win?
As soon as you informed Jongseong through the phone at lunch time, he swore he could make love to you then and there. He was more than gleeful for you and the steadfast dedication you had in your field. All the nights you spent at the office in your home, all the coffee lattes that you would open the door to, all the fast-food meals you would consume just to finish your line of work finally paid off. To celebrate, Jay booked a dinner reservation in one of the 7-star hotels him and his father owned.
That night, Ethan's very own eyes discovered Jay Park's form, leaning against his black Mercedes, seemingly waiting for someone. His speculation that it was you soon pummeled him in the face as your little arms wrapped around Park Ent's CEO, shoving your tongue down his throat out in the open. The moment you entered Jongseong's car, he slammed his beer glass on his desk and rolled the sleeves of his dress shirt past his elbows, the veins and muscles that flourish his arms more enticing under the moonlight.
Ethan's plan was meant to be successful. You were his opponent. Opponents of that of Lee Heeseung deserved to be humiliated, emotionally distraught. His loving past with his object of rivalry is all but impractical. The voice that called him in that dark night, your voice that felt like an early summer sunshine was valueless. The love that you so willingly gave dripped down his face. He licensed them to fall. Everything you shared with him, all of them were mere acts of kindness.
So, why were the veins in his temples protruding from under his skin?
Why did his eyes burn when your lips kissed Jay's?
Why did something in his guts wreathe when he reminded himself that you weren't his anymore?
Why were you such a bitch in the first place?
Of all the queries, the interrogations, the questions, and all the answers, responses, replies, all of the truth Ethan indulged in, it was always you that burglarized his mind. The most horrifying part was, he was in pain. His hands itched to be on yours, entangle your fingertips, kiss your palms, he wanted your lips on his fingertips, like you used to do when he was in distress.
He felt like he was granted to finally grasp the moonlight in his arms, cradle it until his retinas burn with luminescence, listen to your soft, breathy voice, telling him, urging him, singing him lullabies, moaning for him, whining, whimpering, shuddering, trembling for him.
Classical music devoured his sour ambience, the bitter taste of your dispossession of him made Ethan's chest tighten, lungs burning, limbs numbing. His mind was in a whirlpool of your graceful exorcism, your deportation like a gun against his head. His palms met the glass wall where he witnessed your happy smiles and soft giggles, the ones you used to make whenever you were with him.
The classical music that you used to listen to kissed his ears, and for once in his life, he cried and longed for someone. He would soar through the stormy clouds if it meant to have one more minute with you in an apocalypse of pandemonium.
That was Ethan's mistake. The long yesterday was the last time he could ever feel your skin on his. Your kisses would be nothing but a dream, your words nothing but a song he used to sing, your laugh nothing but a faint melody, your love nothing but whispers in the air.
Ethan was the one who left, but he wasn't the one who disappeared. He was left high and dry.
And you?
You were simply gone with the wind.

Convention Review: C2E2
Tumblr media
Convention: Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo (C2E2)
Location: Chicago, IL
Date: Dec 10-12 (Fri-Sun)
Table cost: $462
Table size: 8'
Table placement: F-03; the artist alley was in the back corner from the entrance, the only thing further were the autograph booths
Items for sale: 11x17" posters (fanart and original), tutorial artbook, coloring book, original comic (sons of fire), zines (fanart and original; sfw and nsfw), postcards (4.25x5.5", fanart and original), pins (original), resin coasters and jewelry
New items/display: Primogem charm necklaces/keychains, black backdrop with posters mounted via magnet, raised poster prices from $15 to $20
Mask policy: All attendees/vendors required to show proof of vaccination, which was checked multiple times, masks required at all times, staff was great about enforcing mask policies.
Previously attended? No
Application: Juried
Pros: 8' table, well known convention which usually has huge draw
Cons: artists are in the far back, huge artist alley can be difficult for attendees to get the whole way through, very expensive table, the whole hall is kind of dark and unwelcoming, expensive parking in downtown Chicago
Most popular item(s): Posters (70), pins (35)
Least popular item(s): coloring book (1), commissions (0)
One of the biggest changes I've noticed in the convention scene over the last 10 years is the inclusion of all kinds of fandoms at comic conventions, and not just the mainstream (dc, marvel, dark horse, etc) American comics and entertainment (star wars). Now, video games, anime, horror, and all kinds of other subcultures are widely represented at conventions. Big name anime, like Kimetsu No Yaiba (Demon Slayer), and video games like Genshin make up a huge group of cosplayers and attendees. Thinking back to HeroesCon in 2011, where I made about $200, all while being snubbed by the comic crowd, today's conventions are a significantly more inclusive group.
C2E2 is run by the same group (ReedPop) as New York Comic Con, and similarly has fairly good organization. However, the McCormic Center in chicago where this is held is a complete maze (I even looked at the maps of the center before going and still got lost several times), and I wound up walking a literal mile, including up 3 flights of stairs, to and from my car to my table each day (I google mapped it, it is in fact a mile). Likewise, the load in/out procedures are very unclear, and while they have staff helping, it was difficult to find that staff, and I wound up having to walk almost 2 miles around the show floor to get a load out slip. Then, I had to wait in line for almost 2 hours to load my 2 suitcases (a little bit too much to wheel to my car on uneven parking lots and in very cold/windy weather) as giant vans for huge displays went in front of me (it literally took me 10 minutes to get everything in my car AND use the bathroom!)
Most of the crowd was really good about wearing masks, but one of the "artists" across from me (was he an artist? I'm not sure) not only kept taking off his mask, he decided to stand in the middle of the aisle handing out flyers SANS MASK. The show had given us paperwork with a phone number to contact if we noticed issues, but the number connected to the general building security, who weren't sure what to do about someone not masking. Some staff eventually walked by and I was able to talk to them about the person not masking.
(Like NYCC, I did notice a lot of people who just seemed to be straight up pinup/poster artists in the alley - including one of my neighbors who had nothing but tits&ass art - and while I know not everyone does comics, I did wonder why some of these people were in the alley. However, there were also a ton of amazing artists who I'm sad I didn't get a chance to buy from!)
C2E2 is another convention that "you can't help but make money at," according to others who have done it before. All conventions have waves of traffic, but the waves at C2E2 were fairly extreme, with times that were completely dead (usually the last hour of each day) to the point I could get up and go walk around. Covid, of course, made this a weird year, but I'm finding that my profits don't scale with the size of a convention; rather, the artist alley size scales and the price increases making my totals about the same as other conventions.
TL;DR: C2E2, like NYCC, is a very expensive convention, but if you're good enough to get in you're probably going to make at least a little money. Be prepared to walk a lot - though at least next year it won't be in the freezing cold, instead in the August heat and the same weekend as Gencon.
Gross sales: >$2500
Recommend/will attend again? Unsure. My sister/friends have expressed interest in going as they are big cosplayers which would certainly help cut costs, and I would be interested if I could carpool/hotel share with other artists or attendees.

Reader’s Pov
She should have stayed in her room.
She should have stayed in her room for many reasons. Because her huge, warm and luxury bedroom was far enough from the horrible screams first. Desperate calls for help echoing everywhere, useless begging and strangled howls of infinite pain.
Because her room was neither burning hot nor cold like bleak ice.
Because there was no smell indescribably vile between the rock walls and along the velvet curtains…
But in her child mind, anything was better than eternal silence, even cries for help, better than the lonely torpor of comfort, than that unbearable loneliness.
And boredom.
So, as usual, she took Mister Teddy Bear in her arms, holding him close against her tiny body. With her finger she stuffed the foam escaping from the hole where his head should be, and smiled at his pathetic form.
She didn’t miss his head, for the same reason she didn’t miss the sky : because she had never seen it.
Hell was big enough to get lost forever but she never did. It was vast enough for her to never go twice in the same place if she decided too. And for now, she had only found one place worth going back, the rest was only screams.
She shivered a little, today was cold, at least in this area. And even if she was shaped to handle Hell, she could see the steam coming out of her mouth and taste the metallic smell of blood on her tongue.
When something moved on the wall of that infinite corridor, she took a step back, bumping the opposite sweating blood wall. It was the skin of a human being, empty and limply nailed on the wall, but somehow still whining and crying.
She looked down at Mister Teddy bear and noticed it had been stained again, by the thick smelly blood constantly seeping from the tall cold dark walls. She sighed and gave the shaking empty skin a reprimanding look, frowning her thin and small eyebrows.
And she kept walking.
A demon appeared at an intersection. He wasn’t wearing a human form, his giant body scrawny to the bones, with a crest of rotten wood along his visible spine, transparent skin, no eyes, and a huge pair of horns above him. His arms were long enough to touch the floor, and he was raising his legs too high while walking, which gave him something of a spider.
She recognized Jael.
He passed by, ignoring her tiny form as usual, leaving a trail of smoke and sulfur behind him. For him, she was probably not bigger than a cat would be to a human being. Annoyed by his complete indifference, she closed her tiny five years old fists and punched his leg in a grunt.
The demon didn’t even acknowledge her and she watched him walk or crawl away.
She stayed still for a moment, holding Mister Teddy Bear tight, looking around at the infinite numbers of boring corridors this maze had. She turned on herself in a little dance, her dress flying like there was wind, closed her eyes and stopped randomly, a little dizzy.
This way today.
She sighed in content, she had never been this way before. So she put her tiny patent shoe in front of her and started walking.
She walked for a while, going in any direction like a little mouse in an abandoned manor. Avoiding the walls and covering her ears when the screams were too loud. Once or twice she looked inside the rooms, her eyes meeting pieces of humans, arms reaching to her, eyes without eyelids following her tiny form while beasts with their demon faces or a human costume were feasting on their guts.
She turned left and found herself in front of a door opened on a large room with a man in the middle of it.
He wasn’t screaming.
Chains were maintaining him up and straight, his arms stretched toward the ceiling. The chain was going through his stomach and one of his thighs. Weights were at his hips probably slowly tearing his back.
She stopped in front of the door and held Mister Teddy Bear closer, studying his silhouette, hidden in the shadow of the corridor.
He was brighter, he was stronger. His silence made her shiver for she was so used to the din of despair.
Did he really belong here ?
Mesmerized by his noble aura, she took a step in the room and looked up. His face was held by a chain around his neck, his eyes closed and face unexpectedly calm, almost as if he was sleeping.
When she took another shy step, her potent shoe hit a piece of the chain she didn't notice and the metallic sound made him gasp. His eyes opened and their green light fell on her.
He stayed totally motionless, but it was not like he could really move anyway. Only his eyes weren’t still, trembling in her direction, struggling to focus. Like all the damned souls, he seemed really surprised to see her here, she was just a little girl anyway ; and there was no child in Hell. But his eyes had no expression of supplication, only a mix of distrust and pain.
Demons had never frightened her much, some of them were impressive and ugly, disgusting even. But they couldn’t hurt her. What made shivers run along her tiny back were the damned themselves. Their screams, their begging, their despair... And in her immature mind, she had come to think they were fouler than the creatures of Hell themselves.
Not him.
Her fascinated wide eyes were magnetized to his face, forgetting the chains and the pool of blood at his feet, everything broken about him. She just stared at his face and thought he was beautiful in a way.
She forgot her boredom for a second, and took another step. In front of her little form, with his arms almost reaching the ceiling, he appeared as tall as a mountain. She lifted her chin, frustrated a little to not be able to come closer to his face.
Despite his dusty and grimy skin, she could see little light brown stains around his nose, his eyes were very green and bright, and bloodshot only made their natural color lighter.
Her tiny hand moved a little, not sure what she wanted to do, maybe poke his thigh, like little children tend to do when they find something curious. But he flinched, and she got scared. The whole mountain of his motionless body suddenly making the iron of the chains scream.
She took a step back and put Mister Teddy Bear on the floor, away from danger, before she came closer again. Keeping her eyes on him to tame the reactions of this huge and impressive wounded beast.
This time, she showed him her hand. Her little palm raised gently, she stood there, tasting his blood on her tongue, and the smell of metal and pain.
His face was confused, and his eyes still trembling from the intense fear of being touched, but he kept them on her, going from her innocent eyes to her tiny clean hand.
Dean’s pov
His eyes followed her as she sat down cross-legged a few feet from him, watching him in silence, she took Mister Teddy Bear and put him in her lap.
Dean’s eyes flickered from her little form to the door, waiting for the next torture to begin, but it didn’t.
She just kept watching him, her eyes shining with innocence only a child has. Was she really a kid ? Was it a trap ? A trap to what, nothing could really get worse anyway… Trying to ignore the horrible pain, he focused on her eyes to try and read them.
Everything was weird about her. Her age, her beauty, like she came from another world, Earth or even Heaven… Nothing was dark or vile on her feature. She didn’t seem to mind that her little pink dress was getting soaked in his blood.
With one last glance at the door he cleared his throat, hoarse from screaming hours and hours, and from not really talking for what ? Years...
“Hey little girl?” he cleared his throat once more, surprised by his own voice.
Not controlling his tone perfectly, he spoke a little too loud which made her shuffle back a little. He really didn’t want her to disappear just now, maybe if he managed to talk to her a little, get a name...
“No stay, s-sorry… I’m not gonna hurt you.” His voice seemed to calm her this time, she held Mister Teddy closer to her chest.
“Are you, lost ? What’s your name?” He tried, but she just kept watching him not saying a word.
He gave her a little smile through the unbearable suffering. It felt foreign smiling, he hasn’t done it in years.
“I won’t tell anyone.”
It looked like she smiled back but he was too far to see it clearly, could she even talk anyway ? She looked human, but here… a kid ? Was she dead too ? How did she end up here ?
“Where you from, little girl?” he tried again, speaking was horribly painful but this moment was priceless to him.
How he would love to hear a voice other then the screams of Hell or the filth the demons spat at him. But she kept her lips sealed, taking her little bear by the legs, making him walk through the blood. She didn’t seem phased by the horror of it at all.
“I’m Dean” he said.
She looked up at him and slowly took the arm of her bear to wave at him. His eyes widened, so she could hear and understand him. If he had been able to, he would wave back, instead he chuckled lightly for the first time since the Hellhounds got him; almost forgetting the the chains in his back.
“What’s your little friend’s name? He looks badass.”
Still no answer.
He needed her to be real, to not be an hallucination caused by pain or loneliness.
“Well I guess I’ll give you a name then, is that okay ?”
She shrugged slightly, wiping her headless toy to her perfectly ironed dress.
“What you think of… Firefly?” She looked up at him, now he was sure he could see a smile gracing her little face.
“You like that ? You remind me of one” he tried not to cough at his dry throat, knowing it would be enough to break his back. “A little light in the darkest place…”
He started to look at her thoroughly. She didn’t look too skinny, she was a little dirty, blood stains on her arms, dress and shoes, but in a place like this that wasn’t surprising. Her eyes didn’t look heavy so she had a place to sleep, to rest… How he missed resting, to be able to close your eyes and just sleep, to not fear the never ending pain.
“How did you end up here ?” he asked more for himself, as she didn’t seem to talk at all.
Maybe she couldn’t speak at all. How old would she be, four ? Maybe five ? The blood stains on her face made it difficult to see her child like features.
She was so remarkable, in this screaming pit of misery and despair, there was not one ounce of fear in her eyes. She didn’t seem faced by the fact that she was covered in blood, that her teddy bear was missing his head, that he himself was dangling by chains and seeping the very same blood she was sitting in.
“You have been here for a while haven’t you ?”
He could tell she probably didn’t know anything else but Hell. The absence of fear, the indifference, like everything was just as it always had been... He was sure of it. But then again, how did she end up in the pit ?
A cautious dark chuckle left his mouth.
“I lost count of how long I’ve been here but I heard it’s been about 10 or 15 years.”
She looked up at him, her little E/C eyes shining with curiosity, he hasn’t seen that in years, he couldn’t help but smile at the sight of them. They remind him so much of Sammy’s eyes when he was younger.
A heavy door fell shut in the distance making Dean flinch, grunting loud when his cruel bonds rattled. She got up and came closer, inspecting the chain going through his thigh, her face showing little interest in it.
Then, her curiosity visibly winning against her distrust, she crawled between his legs to watch his back. And he closed his eyes in apprehension of her touching something. But she didn’t.
Reader’s Pov
He was different from everything she had seen in her short life, he wasn’t screaming like the others, or begging, he just… endured it. He seemed stronger.
She circled him to come back to where she could see his face. Her little hand reached for him again, but she remembered the damned didn’t like to be touched so she took her hand back.
Heavy footsteps suddenly echoed in the hallway.
She grabbed mister Teddy Bear from the floor and moved to stand beside the door, Jael entered, still in his demonic form.
“Dean Winchester, ready for your next session ?” his croaky voice came out of his mouth full of teeth in a strange way. “The master Alastair is waiting.”
He steps on the chain making it shift in Dean’s gut. When Dean groaned hoarsely, she moved to punch her little fist into the creatures leg again.
With a sulfur stenched sigh the creature looked down her.
“What are you doing in here” he said in a growl. “You know it isn’t allowed.”
His long bony fingers wrapped around her left ankle to pull her upside down into the air, she weighed nothing. She started to struggle but totally in vain, her palms clenched around Mister Teddy Bear to not lose him, and her free leg trying to kick the demon.
“I’m not a damn babysitter” the demon sighed, a cloud of smelly sulfur reaching her face, and making her sneeze. “I’ll tie you again if you keep wandering, child.”
He turned to leave the room, his creepy gait making her dangle left and right.
“I’ll be back for you Winchester, you’ll say yes to Alastair soon enough.”
Still dangling from Jael’s grip, she took her bear arms and waved it at Dean before the Demon turned in the hallway.
Jael walked back to where her room was, when he pushed the door he came face to face with a Demon in the shape of a man, wearing a suit and a brand new watch, Crowley.
“Sir, your filth has been wandering” he dropped her to the floor bluntly. “Again.”
“Careful Jael, that’s my daughter” the smooth, human voice of her father echoes with no affection.
Crowley bended to pull her up by the arm, grimacing at how dirty she was, and put her in the corner where he had put the chain a few times ago, that was a little to big for her fragile foot anyway, around her.
“Now sweet cheeks” Crowley bended to her eye level “You know you aren’t allowed to leave this room so do us all a favor and don’t?”
She stuck her tongue out to him.
“Just kill her already” Jael grunted.
Crowley stood up and ushered Jael out of the room, he locked the door behind them, while she already took her foot out of the too big chain to run at the door, failing to open it.
“Patience Jael, one day this girl will lead us to victory, you’ll see.”

TAFAKKUR: Part 140
The Honeybee: Part 2
The intelligence of honeybees
Communication is crucial to developing multifaceted civilizations. Communication permits the honeybee to accomplish such amazing things, just as language is a crucial feature in human achievements. Intelligence is vital for both communication and language. Can we say the lowly honeybee, with a tiny brain, is intelligent? It’s a complicated attribute to describe. The American Psychological Association Task Force on Intelligence, describes it as the capability “to adapt efficiently to the environment and to learn from experience.” Bees are gifted enough to do this.
Together, bee and human communications suggest brain power or intelligence. There could be a mutual brain system between humans and honeybees. Bees have proven that you don’t need a big brain to be smart. Charles Darwin recognized this and wrote in 1871, “The brain of an ant is one of the most marvelous atoms of matter in the world, perhaps more so than the brain of man.”
We have learned how smart honeybees are from observing their conduct and by running experiments that prove their knowledge and recollection skills. They can recognize and recall colors and familiar sights. They are able to discriminate amongst diverse scenery, kinds of flowers, forms, and designs.
Bees can recall path particulars up to six miles, and over several days. They can visualize a map, ascertain the straight length connecting two points, and take a diverse path for their outbound and incoming voyages. They can traverse even in the dark of night.
Honeybees are able to perform numerous separate roles during their lifetime, each needing distinct talents. The youthful bees are nurture bees, nursing the family. Afterwards, they make the honey combs, creating perfect hexagonal shapes. Finally, they become hunters, discovering honey and transporting it back to the hive.
They can discern dangerous fungi from innocuous ones. They can also formulate medication (propolis) when destructive fungi are present.
Honeybees certainly have the capability to reason. They can acquire many new skills very rapidly. They have a superior ability to understand and reminisce, at least compared to other insects.
They are capable of intangible thinking, judgment-making, and organizing. They have demonstrated a proficiency at counting and an awareness of time.
The hunter bees have to do several chores that need intelligence: they must discover flowers, decide if they are a good foundation of nectar, find their return journey to the hive, and then impart this knowledge to the other explorers.
They do not utilize devices present in nature, but they can learn how to use tools. It is proven by experiments that when one bee was taught to pull a string to get a sugary reward, another bee acquired the technique just by watching the first bee. What is more astonishing is they could teach this technique to other bees.
How do honeybees make decisions?
Scavenging requires no predominant judgment making. Every bee recognizes only her own liquid source. If the food source is meager, she will swiftly abandon it and will not perform a waggle dance to guide her hive friends to that food source. As an alternative, she will observe the waggle dance of another bee who has discovered an abundant source of nectar and focuses her hunting endeavors on that source. On the contrary, if her source is abundant, she will work on that source constantly and engage other bees to join her.
Every bee formulates her own distinct cost-benefit analysis and makes a decision that influences whether or not she will forsake a source or engage other bees to it. If she vacates her source, she will shadow another bee indiscriminately; she does not match nectar sources.
Due to these transactions the whole hive has improved their foraging skills as a result of the judgments of thousands of separate bees.
The worth of a nectar source is not centered only on the sweetness of the source. It seems that remoteness from the hive, climate environments, the hive’s needs, the quantity of the source, and other relevant features are all taken into account.
What if humans had a bee brain?
One can imagine how clever humans would be if our much bigger brains had the abilities of a bee’s brain. Comparing the weights of brains, a bee brain is about 20,000 times smaller than a human brain. However, they are able to do more with less.
For instance, how do bees have an internal GPS? Scientists have speculated that bees have the ability to sense the earth’s magnetic fields or the divergence of the sun’s light. A latest theory is that bees may be talented enough to perceive quantum fields or quarks. Bees appear to have some inherent sense of the sun’s movement and position.
An international team of researchers has discovered that even a lowly honeybee can differentiate between and remember different human faces. “The more we study these creatures, the more we find they have abilities like ours,” says insect-vision researcher Professor Mandyam Srinivasan of the Australian National University in Canberra. “From bees to wasps, spiders and even sheep, other animals have proven they can not only recognize our faces, but they navigate mazes, match objects and shapes and even associate smells with previous experiences. Sometimes I wonder what we are doing with two-kilogram brains,” ponders Srinivasan.
Human beings are not the only species that can contemplate intangible mathematical ideas like nonexistence. That the number zero is less than one is understood by some other animals. It has been known that dolphins, African gray parrots, and primates also understand the idea of “zero,” but researchers were astonished to find that honeybees also understand this idea, bearing in mind the insects' minute brains, according to a report from RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia. “If bees can perceive zero with a brain of less than a million neurons, it suggests there are simple, efficient ways to teach AI (Artificial Intelligence) new tricks,” Adrian Dyer, an investigator at RMIT University said in the report.
It has been shown that the honeybee is able to accomplish instantaneous calculations quicker than even the fastest computers. For navigation, honeybees must perform very complex calculations. Honeybees are able to execute about 10 trillion calculations in a second, which is 625 times quicker than the 6 billion calculations per second of the fastest computer. A honeybee has a brain that is more advanced than the most cutting-edge super-computer that has ever been produced.
Conclusion
The honeybee is a lowly animal that is still recognized by many religious scriptures. The honey it produces has many medicinal and therapeutic values. The intelligence of the honeybee, with its tiny brain, is astonishing. And yet, we should reflect that however remarkable the honeybee’s brain is, the human brain is millions of times more complex.

Tumblr media
_________________________
- what are you doing here human?-
The off color sugalite asked, holding the Tiny fleshy human ,who stood there amazed by the two beautiful Gems infront of them.
The human girl, brushed her stray locks away from her face, forgeting almost to actually answer the question, trying to find the words. She shakes her head, making eyecontact with the Giant woman that was holding her.
-i was just strolling down the beach, when I found this place, it got my atenttion and...-- wait, you two live here?-
Both gems look at eachother, then to the cave , back to the human.
-yes, we do 'live in here ' as you humans would say- the sardonyx says.
- for the love of god,donnie- the sugalite complains- please dont speak so weird ,youre gonna scare her!-
-what is wrong with my way of speaking, suga ?-the coral gem asks.
-its just so weird!-
-ahem- both women look at the human- dont you wanna just, come and live with me?, this place is cold, wet, and the floor seems unconfortable to sleep in!-
- we ...we uh-donnie says, scratching the back of her neck, looking at her fellow gem, whispering- I I dont really like living here...-
Sugalite sighs, and nodds.
-yes, we Will, youre lucky we like you, punk-
Suga leaves the human on the ground, their bodys shine, their Gems wiggle until they transform into a tall human size, then, they make their way by the shore.
-i've seen more of your kind, you guys are amazing, but, and if you dont mind me asking, why do you guys have two gems each?, are you a 'fusion'?-
Sugalite opens her mouth, but the sardonyx cuts her before she can speak.
-We are off color gems, created by the diamonds with the sole purpose of maximazing gem power by possesing two gems, but, because of that, we are unestable, thats why our colors dont match with our 'normal ' counterparts-
The girl processes the information, looking at the both of them, then she speaks again.
-and how you guys ended down here?-
-well,- the sardonyx said- its kind of difficult--
-ill tell you how- the sugalite interrupted, her tone much lower her usual- we were in the army, I...I had to shatter a newborn off color gem, And...and I just couldnt, so we left her free, our superiors left us, then gave the order to shatter us...so we flet to earth..-
-hey i...I didnt want to touch something so sensible, i--
- its okay, youre the only one who didnt judge us.., we appreciate it..
- also, whats your name?-donnie asks.
-my Friends call me gericho-
- I didnt thought human names could be so diverse!-
[Time skips]
-here we are!, make yourself comfy, want hot chocolate?-
-hot choco-- what?-sardonyx asks,dumbfoded .
-Yes yes!-suga exclaims excitedly- with marshmellows!-
-coming up!,donnie?,want some?-
-i guess it would be nice to taste something else than rocks for one day..-Then she cackles loudly, making the gir a bit unconfortable, cringing a bit, the gem notices it- whats the matter hun?-she asks worriedly.
-its just that I dont really like loud noises they make me unconfortable-
And before she can say anything else, the sardonyx hugs her, squeezing her as she mutters a sorry.
The girl smiles and hugs back, caressing the back of the gem.
-youre soft-
The gem instantly heats up and suga starts to laugh like a maniac , stomping her fist on the table.
-I have never, ever see you like that donnie!,oh my god- sugalite says trough laughter.
-You are an ass-donnie sputter as she drank the hot chocolate, giving a cup to the purple gem.
- yet you have been sticking with me all this time..-
The two gems share a laugh, the human just stares at nothing, the calm mood makes her feel good, sardonyx and sugalite feel the same, both of them talk a about homeworld, how it was, their time in the army, until night falls.
Then after a quick dinner , bedtime arrives, the Gems take the sofa, fixing their forms into the shape of the furniture.
[...]
Rays of sunshine comes in trough the windowpanes, Gericho grunts, hearing the soft clinking of the cups.
She drags herself out of bed, going down the small set of stairs to the kitchen, there its donnie, making breakfast for the human, who sat on the chair, as the gem puts the Plate Infront of her, Fried eggs and bacon, with a cup of tea.
-Made specially for you..!-
Sardonyx tries to be carefull not to waken the other gem up.
-And Suga?-
-Shes sleeping -
- Tell her I say goodmorning-G said , eating her breakfast- I have to leave to work.., if anything comes up, call me, my cellphone number is on one of the fridges magnets-
Sardonyx nodds and smiles, putting her head on her hands, as her elbows ,then she proceeds to speak.
-welp, I have to go now, thanks for the breakfast,it tastes amazing, goodbye donnie-
Gericho kisses her on her forehead, right on her gem- see you later!-
Then the human grabbs her bag and runs to the main door.
-Bye!-
Then the door is slam shut.
[...]
The day goes by painfuly slow, a huge worrying swept over gericho.
' Sardonyx hasnt called me yet, hope everythings fine back there...'
She thinks , sipping from her tea, as a couple of animators comes in,then its time to work.
Working in an animation studio was fun, specially when all the people working there were just as excited as she was, all passionate for the proyect.
Eventually, its time to go home, evening was just around the corner when the human entered the house.
Then she is enveloped in four huge arms, who hugged her tightly , a soft sobbing noise , and sugalite who was muttering ' youre back '
-Hey hey hey!, What happened?-she asks , no answer is given-suga, baby whats wrong?...-she lifts the gems head by her chin- are you okay?-
The gem takes a bit to answer, but eventually she does- I..Im okay, its just, when I woke up, you werent here, and sardonyx told me you left for something important...and and you were taking so long that I feared the worst!-
-its alright honey- G says, caressing suga's hair- its alright, ive should've left a note- finally, sugalite calms down, and nodds, then she recomposes herslef, lifting the human off her feet- where is donnie?-
-Shes sleeping, she figured youll be back late so she went to sleep-
-So thats why she didnt called me in all day!-
-Wait...-suga says- Youre telling me that I could've called you, and spare all the worrying?-
-Yeah, Pretty much....-
Suga's eye starts twitching.
-before I do something stupid-the gem says- I heard there are more of us west from here, maybe we can go and check if they are okay- G agrees- now, if youll excuse me...- she leaves the human on the ground, and from her gems a maze comes out- SARDONYX!-
Gericho just sighs.
- well....I better get the first aid...-

STEM Kit experience
Tumblr media
For the STEM (Science,Technology, Engineering, and Math) KIT, I consider Magnetic tiles. It Includes colorful non-toxic BPA-free plastic magnetic building sets. They have round corners and are lightweight with endless opportunities for children to play. They are open-ended materials for children to learn Bi-dimentional (BD) shapes (math) and build Three Dimensional (TD) objects (Engineering). The pieces can glow in the dark and in light have beautiful reflections (science). Children can develop their imagination skills to create construction (Engineering), learn about colors, shapes, and magnetic nature (science). So, magnetic tiles are useful to learn science and practice math as well. They can use simple machines to measure them and practice technology. They can build boxes, towers, houses, car carriages and many other structures.
Data display template:
Gather a bunch of magnetic tiles of the same dimensions and a variety of colors. Mix them up and put them in a pile. Ask children some questions about them. For example “Without counting, which tile color do you think has the most one?”Ask them how they might be sure that these guesses are right. Create the stacks of tiles and put them in order of height. Children can use their observations and counting skills to show the distribution of colors, create a tally or bar chart. After learning the data display, they learn to compare.
Children can play alone or with others and develop language and social skills. We should provide enough time for children to explore, stimulate, and manipulate their brains. We should ask open-ended questions and encourage children to describe what they are doing to engage more. Children can make dominos, maze, math and spelling ideas (make numbers and letters), repeat the sequence and make patterns, do sensory play or puzzle match, and discover the colored lights and magnet nature. It is very helpful for hand-eye coordination development when children pick up the pieces and try to connect the sides. They improve a child's critical thinking skills, problem solving, imaginative play, and creativity. Children concentrate on sensorimotor planning, spatial awareness, and fine motor skills while playing with Magna Tiles. By exposing themselves to light they learn about light reflection. They can superimpose the tiles and learn color mixing.
Questions to guide the experience:
How many red (or other colors) tiles do you have? How many squares do you have (or other shapes)? Do you see a pattern? Why is this tower/ bridge (made out of tiles) stable/unstable? What is the color make up when putting the red and yellow tiles over each other? What do magnets attract? What objects do magnets stick to?
