obviously, marc canonly has dissociative identity disorder, and works in a system with steven and jake. while i do my best to make sure that all aspects of this are represented accurately and respectfully, i’m always open to any (polite) constructive criticism and just ask that people come directly to me in regards to it. i also will do my best to ensure that any posts are tagged as necessary when it comes to potentially triggering material, just let me know if i miss anything!

upon arriving in latverion, marc and steven agreed to, grudgingly, work with khonsu again. they have more say now in how they operate and considerate it their best chance to keep people safe under the pretty sketchy circumstance.

marc and steven are at a point of understanding and accepting one another, though not always in perfect agreement, they’re doing their best. to pull some from the comics that the show hadn’t gotten to yet, they’re aware they have a third alter, and marc’s finally been able to communicate with jake to a degree, but as he doesn’t show up often, this is still limited. jake, on the other hand, is aware of marc and steven.

their history is a mix of both comics and the mcu, with keeping the traumatic events of their childhood from each, as they are vital to the character, but would only be referenced if absolutely necessary. (if you know, you know)

HOW DOES YOUR CHARACTER FEEL ABOUT EMPEROR DOOM?

all three of them don’t trust the situation, knowing any time one person puts themselves about anyone else, it can’t be good. yet what they want to do about it can vary. marc wants to make sure those around him are safe, regardless of what else it can mean - particularly layla and steven. steven, on the other hand, just wants to keep his head down and out of trouble unless something happens where they’d have to step in. and jake, well - no one knows what jake wants but they’re sure it can’t be good.

HOW DOES YOUR CHARACTER FEEL ABOUT THE BATTLES? ARE THEY TRYING TO AVOID THEM? OR ARE THEY EAGER TO JUMP IN?

marc is presently volunteering in battles. as far as he cares, it lets him see what others are capable of and it’s the one thing he knows he’s good at. steven would rather avoid it, and isn’t thrilled marc is doing it, but if he were forced to fight, he knows now he could - even though marc would more than likely front anyway.

WHY HAS YOUR CHARACTER ACCEPTED THEIR JOB POSITION? WILL THEY USE IT TO GET CLOSER TO DOOM? OR WILL THEY USE IT EXPLOIT HIM? OR DO THEY SIMPLY LIKE THEIR JOB?

steven is thrilled to be at the museum, and without the terrible boss he had back home. he takes a lot of time to educate others and usually rants a bit too long with a ridiculous amount of passion for history. marc and jake are both using their current positions to observe and learn what they can about the other people here.

a former soldier turned mercenary turned an ancient god’s avatar. marc spector’s childhood was struck by a tragedy very early when his brother died while the two were playing together, which was something his mother never forgave him. as a means to find comfort, his psyche formed an alter named steven grant, who had no recollection of this trauma, thus developing the dissociative identity disorder.

they’ve managed to co-exist in peace with steven not being aware of marc until later, after marc was saved from dying at the hands of his work partner by the moon god khonshu who transfered him into the vigilante known as moon knight.

things got out of hand at some point and steven’s peaceful life of a museum gift shop worker crashed with marc’s more violent one but they’ve eventually managed to find a way to work together.

surprise surprise, there’s another alter - jake lockey, who marc is aware of but refuses to address it whatsoever. 

right now he doesn’t remember anything about the whole moon knight adventure with steven and khonshu, but he is aware there is something going on with his mind that is not quite usual.

so. you’ll meet marc, and you’ll also definitely meet steven, let’s just see if you’re gonna meet jake (:

A DEEPER LOOK;

BACKGROUND: post the moon knight series with some comic influence added in to fill the gaps!

WEAPONS: aside from being able to summon the moon knight suit with it’s crescent daggers and batons, he had a switchblade and gun.

POWERS/ABILITIES/SKILLS: military marine training; combat, marksmanship, tactician. able to summon the moon knight/mr. knight suit providing increased strength, stamina, agility, and near instantaneous healing.

GREATEST STRENGTH: aside from his obvious training and the suit, marc’s come to accept his disorder and is able to work better in tandem with his alters. it isn’t always perfect and may not seem like something to consider a greatest strength to others, but it wasn’t easy to get there and all three of them have various knowledge and tools to their disposal.

GREATEST WEAKNESS/FLAW: though he’s working on it, marc has a history of closing himself off, both from his alters and from the people that may care about him. he convinces himself to do things alone and not drag others down with him.

ONE FEAR: that he’s going to lose layla, either through his own stupidity or putting her in danger.

ONE HOPE: that just maybe he’ll figure out some sort of balance.

HOW DOES YOUR CHARACTER FEEL ABOUT BEING DROPPED INTO THE CAMBRIA PROGRAM? ARE THEY EXCITED? SUSPICIOUS? CONFUSED?

he knew layla wasn’t about to turn down the opportunity and he wasn’t about to not be at her side, so he accepted willingly. khonsu is less than pleased about it, but marc did agree to take up being his avatar again to make sure they’d be safe here, so the big bird agreed as well. he has his suspicions, but they’re usually drowned out by steven’s absolute fascination by everything around them. jake, thus far, has remained impartial.
