The note shows up in Eddie's mailbox cubby on Valentine's Day.
It's nothing fancy, loopy cursive handwriting on lined paper:
"I know this is probably silly but I can't go another day without saying it, and today seems appropriate for this kind of confession. Seeing you in the morning is the best part of my day. You're so gorgeous it leaves me breathless. I hope you don't mind if I don't leave my name. Just wanted you to know that you're beautiful."
His eyes fill with tears that he blinks back, a goofy smile stretching his mouth wide.
"You good there, Munson?" Robin Buckley asks.
"Oh, yup, yeah, all good." He laughs. "Just got one of those 'you're my favorite teacher Mr. Munson!' notes."
He squeezes the letter to his chest before slipping it in his pocket.
---
The worst thing about Eddie's new job is that someway, somehow, Steve-fucking-Harrington works here too. PE teacher, JV basketball coach, of-fucking-course. Once a douchebag jock, always a douchebag jock. What makes it all worse is that he's still the prettiest guy Eddie's ever seen.
---
The first week of March, there's a commotion in the hallway that has him rushing out of his room, ready to breakup a fight. He finds Harrington already there, holding Dustin Henderson and Will Byers by their shoulders. Troy Walsh and James Dante stand across from them, wearing matching snarls.
Of course Harrington is picking on little nerd kids; he knew it. But before he steps forwards to break it up, Steve speaks, voice low and angry. "You want to tell me what happened here, Troy?"
"Byers tripped. He really should watch where he's going," Troy says. James laughs.
Steve's glare goes even more icy, more disdainful (it's so fucking hot, Eddie hates it). "You want to take that again? And try being honest this time, or you're suspend from the team."
Troy splutters for long enough that Eddie finally notices Will's stricken face, the sketchpad and snapped colored pencils littering the linoleum.
"I saw you take those things from Will, and unfortunately, I'll have to call your parents and you will be responsible for purchasing a new sketchbook and pencils. You're also benched for the next four games."
The boys shout, but when Steve raises a hand they quiet immediately. "You want to complain more, or do you want it to be five games?"
"No, sir," they answer before scampering off.
Harrington faces Dustin and Will. "You boys okay?" he asks them.
"We're good, Mr. H," Dustin answers.
"Glad to hear it." Steve begins collecting Will's ruined belongings, stops to study one of the drawings.
"This is really good, Will."
Will flushes. "Thanks. It's my character for dnd,"
"Dnd? That's that game that El and Max are always talking about? With the character sheets and the dice?"
"Yeah!" says Dustin. "You know it?"
Steve's smile is a little bashful, and it tugs at Eddie's heart in a way he has to ignore. "Not much. Just from what the girls have said. You want to tell me about it?"
"Really?" Their eyes light up.
"Really. You can stop by the gym during lunch. Only if you want to, though."
"Cool," says Dustin.
He pats them both on the shoulder, and they hurry away, leaving Steve and Eddie suddenly alone.
Eddie should head back to his class, hasn't been needed in this situation at all, really, but before he can disappear, Steve spots him and his eyes widen.
"You need something, Munson?" Steve's cheeks go a faint pink.
He shakes his head, feels wrong-footed. "Uh, that was really cool what you did just there."
"They're really good kids," Steve says. "I know them a little. Used to babysit El Hopper." He slides his hands into the pockets of his khakis and, seriously, fuck Harrington for looking like that in a pair of Dockers.
"Babysitter, Harrington? Never thought I'd see the day. Or that you'd be the one defending a bunch of nerds," Eddie says. He means it teasing, but Steve's face warps into a frown.
"Y--yeah, I guess. I mean. I'm trying not to be that guy anymore, and Robin's really helped--"
"Shit, man, I'm sorry. That's not what I meant, at all--"
"--I feel terrible about all that shit I pulled back in school. That King Steve stuff? I was awful and you didn't deserve--"
"Steve!" Eddie cuts him off. "I forgive you. For everything." He looks down at his shoes. "For all I didn't want to believe it, you really have changed."
They're both pink faced now, avoiding each other's eyes. "Thanks," Steve says. "I should get going, but--for the future-- I really wouldn't mind--um--trying to be friends."
The grin that passes across Eddie's face is huge. "Yeah, Harrington, I'd like that."
Eddie has to run to make it to his classroom on time. He passes Dustin and Will and the rest of their gaggle of friends, rushing them along, but forgets all about it as he steps in front of his third period juniors.
---
He and Steve are...friendly now. They chat, they joke, they share smiles that have Eddie's heart beating too fast even though it's not like that. Turns out Steve is kind and funny (a little bit of a bitch too, but in a way that ties Eddie's stomach in knots), and a hell of a teacher.
---
His freshman are in small groups, peer-reviewing an essays, when Max Mayfield catches his eye. She's one of his favorite students and absolute trouble.
"What's up, Mayfield." He asks.
"Are you friends with Mr. Harrington?" She asks.
He chuckles. "Sure, Max, we're friendly enough. Why?"
She narrows her eyes, like she knows he's not being totally honest. "Oh, nothing. He just talks about you all the time."
He's blushing horribly and Max, and all of her friends, smirk up at him. "He does?" He chokes out.
"Mmhmm," Lucas Sinclair says. "Says he thinks you're really cool."
"Definitely one of the best teachers here," Mike Wheeler adds.
Eddie rolls his eyes. "Okay, very funny, guys. How're your essays going?"
They answer, but before Eddie goes to help another group, Will says, "he really does like you, Mr. Munson. A lot."
El nods earnestly up at him. "It is true," she says. "I know him."
"Thanks, kids. I'll keep that in mind." He gives them a smile, tries not to let their words get to him. When he reaches the next group, though, he notices his hands are shaking.
---
Gifts start turning up in Eddie's cubby. It starts with a bag of oatmeal chocolate chip cookies from his favorite bakery. There's a small note that says "from your secret admirer," on the packaging. Every two weeks or so, something new shows up in his little mailbox; a woven friendship bracelet, a yellow rose, Hershey kisses, a delicately painted dnd figure that gives Eddie a small crisis because it's his own bard character, an Iron Maiden cassette, a bag of dice that almost brings him to genuine tears.
Eventually, he gets another note. This one is typed and reads: "I would love to have coffee with you 11am this Saturday at the Cafe on Main Street."
---
He walks into the cafe at 10:50am, wearing his favorite pair of ripped black jeans and a burgundy button-down, his hair pulled into a loose bun. He doesn't recognize anyone there.
Eddie gets in line, studies the menu, and the little bell above the door rings. He whips towards the sound to find none other than Steve Harrington in little wire rim glasses, a butter colored sweater, and jeans the man must have painted on, Jesus Christ. Honestly, the whole thing is enough to give Eddie a coronary (and to, embarrassingly, chub up in his own tight jeans).
"Steve?" He asks. He's overwhelmed with the (stupid, stupid) hope that it's been Harrington all along. "What are you doing here?"
"Henderson asked me to meet him. He around?"
"Uh, no?" Eddie feels heat creeping up his throat.
Steve shakes his head, as though he expected as much. "You alone? We could grab drink."
"I can't believe this." Eddie hides his face in his hands, knows it's gone horrifyingly crimson.
"What's wrong?"
"My secret admirer told me to be here now, so we could meet," Eddie's misery slices through his words. "I'm such an idiot."
"I--your--what?" Steve stammers.
He gathers himself enough to look Steve in his hazel eyes and ask, "I'm assuming it wasn't you leaving notes and gifts for me at work?"
And he expects Steve to say no. To laugh and ask why he'd ever do something like that, but instead, instead he flushes a deep red. "O-only one note."
"What?"
"I, uh," Steve clears his throat. "I left you a note. On Valentine's Day. I--we weren't friends yet, and I wanted you to know how much I liked you. It's --uh--it's pretty silly, huh? Robin's--"
"Steve," Eddie interrupts. He's going to tell Steve that he reads the note often enough that he has parts memorized; that it's the kindest thing anyone has done for him, but what he says instead is, "Dustin Henderson told you to meet him here at 11?"
"Yeah. Said he had something to show me."
Eddie remembers running into Will and Dustin and their friends that day in the hall, the weird conversation in class, the dice and the miniature. Something must click for Steve at the same time because his mouth drops, blush getting somehow deeper.
"Oh my god. Henderson! I'm gonna kill him. They figured out I had a crush on you."
"They WHAT?" Eddie says, loud enough that several looks are aimed their way.
"I'm so, so sorry, Eddie. Holy shit, this is so humiliating. You have to believe me, I had no idea they were doing this. God, I'm really starting to think it is possible to die from embarrassment."
"You have a crush on me," Eddie says instead of any of the dozens of helpful things he could say.
"Um. Yes?"
Eddie takes a deep breath, straightens his spine, and asks, "You wanna have coffee with me?"
"I'd really like that." Steve's return smile is so beautiful, it makes Eddie weak.
---
Eddie Munson is making out with Steve Harrington in the backseat of Steve's BMW. He and Steve spent the day together. They've kissed for so long that the sun has set, both of their lips are swollen, their skin red from stubble, and Eddie is nowhere near ready for the night to end.
Steve breaks away, gently pulling their mouths apart, but arms still tight around Eddie. "Hey, what kind of gifts were they giving you anyway? The kids?"
"Oh," Eddie blushes. "Uh, cookies, a dnd mini, lots of candy, a set of dice."
"Oh my god," Steve says, he pulls a little more away. "Oh my god, I'm going to kill her, Jesus Christ."
"Who are are you killing, sweetheart?"
Steve groans. "Robin. She was helping them. We found a set of dice at this little bookstore and she told me to get them for you, and--" he breaks off with a helpless, frustrated noise.
Eddie doesn't mean to, but he starts to giggle.
"It's not funny!" Steve says.
That only makes Eddie laugh harder. "Your best friend," he squeaks. "And a group of literal children set us up. That's hilarious, Harrington."
Steve's mouth drops and for a second Eddie thinks he'll be upset, but then he's giggling too, his whole face crumpling into it.
Steve pulls Eddie close once the laughter subsides, his eyes trained on Eddie's lips.
"We could pretend we didn't get together," Eddie manages to say.
"What, like, make them think they failed?"
"Yeah. We could tell them I got stood up, but you and I hung out. Had a bro day."
Steve giggles again, and it's the best sound Eddie's ever heard. "I'm absolutely on board with this plan, but you should definitely kiss me some more."
"Oh, yeah?" Eddie asks, his voice low. "And what'll I get out of it?"
"Why don't you get over here and see."
As if Eddie could turn down an invite that enticing. He slides a hand behind Steve's head, drawing him in, and they're kissing like they never stopped. It only been a few hours, but Eddie knows--without a doubt--he's already head over heels.

Y’all why has no one even mentioned the fact that if Sophie is unmatchable bc of her altered DNA, Keefe would be too?
Edit: y’all I know about the thing with her parents but it’s not guaranteed that knowing her parents would make her work in the system. My theory, which I hid in the tags (my mistake) is that it’s hard to match genetically compatible people when there are factors other than the parents determining what’s going on in their DNA. Like, for most people there isn’t external tampering so they just need to know who the parents are, but I think for Sophie and Keefe it’s different.

Nandermo: Cupid is real, and he is REALLY tired of Guillermo and Nandor's BS. He keeps trapping Nandor and Guillermo into increasingly over-the-top, romantic (or erotic) scenarios. Each time one or both of them find some way to ruin it. Anyway, I'd love to see your interpretation of a modern portrayal of Cupid, much like how the WWDITS writers chose to depict the Djinn as an accountant-type. I used he/him for Cupid, but by all means, don't limit yourself in imagining who Cupid might be. A hitman for hire? Matchmaking as magical bureaucracy? A new type of energy vamp? Reality TV host? Go wild.

In your opinion, would Princess Viserra's fate have changed if she had been promised to Lord Manderly's heir, and not to him?
That is to say, if marriage to the Manderlys were necessary to formalize a pact with the North, perhaps a handsome husband of the same age who would make her Lady of White Harbor would be more interesting to the young princess.
I won't hold back. NOTHING about Viserra's storyline makes any sense short of all the characters having a stroke.
Perceptive and compassionate Alysanne, who previously demonstrated considerable matchmaking skills, suddenly becomes very bad at it. (Don't get me started on Elio Garcia's attempt to defend Alysanne's OOC behavior as her being jealous of her own daughter's beauty.)
Jaehaerys suddenly becomes an absentee father from the 1950s rather than, you know, a medieval king for whom his daughter's marriage is of the utmost political importance.
Septon Barth? Grand Maester Elysar? Both MIA.
Theomore Manderly? If he was truly canny, he would have seen the offer for what it was and declined it.
Its true, the best way to tie the North closer to the south (and more specifically the Iron Throne) short of House Stark is House Manderly. However, marrying Viserra, a princess (and the prettiest one at that) to Theomore entirely defeats that purpose. One, a fat man old enough to be your grandfather is hardly appealing on a personal level, especially to a teen princess who knows just how attractive she is. Two, any children Viserra had would come behind four wives' worth of stepchildren, practically guaranteeing that the future Lords of White Harbor won't share any direct blood ties to House Targaryen, which brings me to my third point. Marrying Viserra to Theomore more or less dooms Viserra's line to obscurity and she herself to a life of dependency on the charity of her stepson.
What, then, would have made way more sense? Marrying her to Desmond, who, as Theomore's great-grandson, would probably be fairly close in age to her, not to mention higher in the succession.
Now, to answer your question, yes I absolutely do believe Viserra might have lived a longer (and perhaps even fulfilling) life if her parents had picked someone other than Theomore Manderly to be her husband. Remember, the whole reason she was even out and about the night of her death was because she wanted to have fun one last time before resigning herself to her fate. If she had instead been looking forward to her wedding she wouldn't have had any incentive to sneak out, which makes the chances of her suffering a tragic accident the way she did in OTL astronomically lower.
Thanks for the question, @diegoedil

Just a Kick
“Well,” Tony said, trying not to let his amusement get the best of him. “Say what you will about Peter, but subtle he is not. I think he wants us to date.”
Stephen glanced at him, arching an eyebrow. “What gave it away?” He asked, tone dry. “The mistletoe a few weeks ago that was completely out of season? The three different staged dinners that, admittedly, took us two dinners too long to figure out? The time they locked us in a closet after having stolen my sling ring? The fact that they’ve now tried to shove us into a single room with only one bed despite the fact that I could literally portal us to our own rooms for the night without anyone the wiser?”
“We could do that,” Tony agreed, even though Peter had made them promise not to abuse portals. Apparently it was part of the ‘vacation experience’ and it was cheating if they just went home every night. Tony didn’t get it, but he’d gone along with it this far. He let out a little hum as he considered the situation. “Or, I suppose, we could just go along with it.”
“You kick,” Stephen muttered under his breath. “It is incredibly annoying.”
Tony had gotten used to Stephen knowing random things about him—about them, in the hypothetical situation that they happened—that Stephen should, by all rights, not have any way to know.
14 million timelines.
Tony didn’t know how Stephen had done it, wasn’t sure how Stephen was still sane.
Wasn’t sure how, after all that Stephen had to have seen, Stephen for some reason loved him. There was no way that Tony deserved that.
Personally, Tony blamed Stockholm Syndrome. Stephen had clearly been forced into Tony’s proximity for so long that he’d been tricked into it. And yes, he knew it didn’t work that way, but Tony thought it got the point across remarkably.
But however many timelines it had taken Stephen to fall in love with Tony… It had only taken this one for Tony to fall in love with Stephen.
He just wasn’t sure how to actually do anything about it. He wasn’t sure that Stephen would believe him if he did, for one. And, perhaps more importantly, a part of him worried that his love could never measure up to Stephen’s own.
He would try. Hell, he’d try. He’d try to do right by Stephen. But the fear lurked. What if Tony wasn’t enough?
Such thoughts clearly didn’t plague Peter who clearly thought that he and Stephen were perfect for each other.
“Well, wouldn’t want to kick you,” Tony said easily, trying to hide his gut reaction. “Just open me up a portal to my place. We can deal with Peter tomorrow.”
The words were supposed to come out casual, but something must have slipped because Stephen eyed him curiously.
“Do you want to share a bed?” he asked, sounding uncertain. Uncertain didn’t suit Stephen.
Tony opened his mouth, then closed it. He wasn’t sure how to answer that question. The truth was that, yes, he sort of did. But he also wasn’t sure what that would do to their relationship. Would it progress things faster and further than Tony was ready for?
Would he be giving Stephen promises that he couldn’t possibly live up to?
He knew he wasn’t good enough for Stephen. Did he want to give Stephen the false hope that Tony might someday be?
Stephen’s brow furrowed and Tony realized he’d been silent too long.
“Yes,” he admitted. He ran a hand through his hair before throwing caution to the wind. “I do want to share a bed with you. I want to do a lot of things with you, actually. The sort of things that Peter wants us to do. Like hold hands. And kiss. And sleep together, both platonically and not. And you know… uh, fall in love with you.”
Stephen’s mouth dropped open just slightly. Clearly he hadn’t expected for Tony to go all out like that. Well, Tony had always lived to surprise.
“Except,” Tony continued. “It can’t be perfect, because apparently I kick in bed, and maybe that’s a sign of other things. That maybe I’ll metaphorically ‘kick’ if I try to love you.”
“You…” Stephen shook his head. “You sound ridiculous, you know that, right? Are you really suggesting that because you kick in your sleep you’re incapable of loving me?”
“I’m just saying that maybe it’s a sign.” He looked away. He sounded like an idiot and he knew it. But the point stood. “You love me.” Stephen didn’t deny it. They were far past that. “And I just… I don’t know if anything I give you can ever match that.”
Stephen huffed out a breath, shaking his head. He waved his hands and then suddenly he was in his pajamas instead of his many layers of sorcerer garb. Tony felt his mouth go dry. Stephen looked… well, he always looked good, but he looked soft and approachable in the soft, worn white t-shirt and comfortable looking lounge pants. “You’re an idiot. Now get into your pajamas and get in bed.”
“Did you hear anything I just said?”
“Yes,” Stephen said. “You admitted you love me. You added a whole bunch of nonsensical commentary about somehow not being enough for me that I’m choosing to ignore until we’re both less tired. But the essence is that you love me. Since that’s true, I don’t see why we’re still dithering about this.”
Tony stared at him, searching for the right words.
Somehow he still surprised himself. “Alright.”
If Stephen was going to make it that simple… Well, Tony could accept it. For now, at least, until they had that discussion they needed to have.
Stephen waited until Tony was comfortable in the bed before wrapping an arm around his waist and pulling him close. “I love you, Tony,” he murmured, breath warm against Tony’s skin. “Even when you kick.”

Thinking about Robin getting so frustrated with Eddie and Steve's pining that she forces them into an empty room, says, "you're into each other, figure your shit out," and locks them inside. The last thing she sees are their bright red faces and averted gazes.
When they come out a few hours later, Robin very tactfully doesn't mention how they're covered in hickies and Steve's shirt is inside out.

Why is the 7th house not considered auspicious in astrology?
In astrology, the 7th house is traditionally associated with partnerships, marriage, and open enemies. It is opposite the 1st house, which represents the self. While the 7th house is not inherently inauspicious, certain aspects of its symbolism can be challenging or indicate areas of potential conflict in a person's life. Here are some reasons why the 7th house is sometimes viewed with caution:
Mirror Effect: The 7th house is often considered the "house of mirrors" because it represents the people we attract as partners, reflecting aspects of ourselves. Sometimes, the qualities or traits mirrored by a partner can be challenging to confront.
Conflict and Open Enemies: The 7th house is associated with open enemies or adversaries. While not all relationships involve conflict, this house does highlight the potential for opposition or challenges arising from interactions with others.
Legal Matters: Legal matters and disputes fall under the domain of the 7th house. While not every legal situation is negative, this house can indicate the potential for legal involvement, and sometimes legal issues are considered challenging.
Balancing Act: Marriage and partnerships require balance and compromise. The 7th house emphasizes the need to navigate the dynamics of relationships, which can be both rewarding and demanding.
Karmic Connections: Some astrologers interpret the 7th house as representing karmic connections or relationships that carry lessons from past actions. These connections may involve growth and evolution but can also bring challenges.
It's essential to remember that astrology is a symbolic language, and interpretations can vary among astrologers. While the 7th house may represent challenges, it also holds the potential for personal growth, learning, and positive experiences in relationships. Many people find great happiness and fulfillment through their partnerships, marriages, and collaborations.
Astrology is a tool for self-awareness and understanding life dynamics, and it is not meant to predict doom or prescribe specific outcomes. A balanced and holistic interpretation of the entire birth chart, considering all houses and planets, is necessary to gain a comprehensive understanding of an individual's astrological profile.

Hello!! I love this blog, and thank you so much for doing this!!
I was wondering if you know any fics where people try to set them up?
Hi! We have a #matchmaking tag you can check out. Here are some more to add...
Oblivious by EdosianOrchids901 (T)
“Mr. Crowley and Mr. Fell had been truly baffling to watch all evening, often trading jabs about weather and horses and philosophy before stalking away to different corners. And yet they orbited each other, never staying apart for long, always drawn back together. Phoebe had never seen two people so desperately in love and yet so oblivious to it.”
Love is Blind (Tied Up and Gagged) by RoseDoesFanfiction (G)
"What-” Crowley starts, cutting himself off as he tries to make sense of the scene he’s currently observing. His mouth hangs open around the choke of inarticulate sentiments—mostly ardent confusion—he doesn’t have the words to voice. A shaky breath steadies his nerves as he slumps down upon the edge of his bed. From what he can see, Gabriel and Beelzlebub have kidnapped Aziraphale. He would laugh if it wasn’t so achingly tragic. “He was miserable,” Gabriel explains simply. (Or the one where it takes a minor kidnapping to get them to actually sit down and TALK for someone's sake.) Post Season 2 fix-it.
7 minutes in heaven by waddlesthejoghog (T)
"If Crowley and Aziraphale couldn’t figure it out, Muriel would have to take a different approach. It wasn’t enough to put them in the same location. They had to plant some seeds of conversation. They had to come to a conclusion naturally, but with a push." OR Muriel reads every book in the shop, then comes up with a plan to get Aziraphale and Crowley back together.
seven minutes in somewhere by whicorzoo (T)
In which Aziraphale Fell, in his last year at Eden High School, has had a long-standing, unyielding crush on Anthony Crowley that leaves him a flushing, stuttering mess at the other boy’s mere mention. Because of his affliction, he’s vowed to never speak with Crowley to avoid the inevitable and soul-crushing embarrassment that would surely follow. It’s not as if he’s really risking anything this way, anyways; Crowley likely doesn’t even know he exists. His scheming-but-well-intentioned best friend Anathema, a pantry, and a game of seven minutes in heaven aim to break that vow.
Muriel's Arrow by marsnack (T)
After waiting thousands of years Muriel is finally given their first mission on earth. To make humans fall in love. Only one problem. Or several, actually. Muriel isn't all too good at matchmaking. And Hell, for some unknown reason, really wants to steal Cupid's Bow. And er, the Instruction Manual heaven provided Muriel is a little... outdated When Muriel shoots Crowley with Cupid's Arrow, Aziraphale is desperate to find a way to reverse it. But Crowley is acting differently than everyone else who was shot by the bow. Perhaps it was because he's a demon. Or was there another reason?
The Whispers of The Moon by comicallybadwriter (M)
“Aziraphale, for the eleventh time we have enough wine!” Crowley groaned and leant across the bookshop door, waiting as impatiently as one could for their best platonic friend of 6000 years to finally finish packing a picnic basket for a night of looking at the stars. “Angel,” Crowley stepped into the kitchen and took Aziraphale’s hands in his own, “Anything you’re missing right now, I’ll miracle up in the snap of my finger. Literally.” Crowley raised an eyebrow and snapped his fingers for show when a tartan ribbon had fallen into his hands suddenly. The angel picked up the ribbon softly and turned it around in his hands, making Crowley pink in the face, “Sssorry Angel let me-” "Turn around dear." ::: Aziraphale and Crowley are finally left alone, but where there's a demon and angel, there's drama. What could possibly be worse than the end of the world? Well, a lovesick demon struggling to cope with the evergrowing need and want for their neighbouring angel could do some damage.

In the king's chamber
Arthur: you're saying the feelings are mutual.
Merlin: yeah. Heath is just hesitant.
Arthur: huh
Gwaine: *opens the door* you two naked? No? good. I think Wilfred should bake Heath an apple pie.
Arthur: Gwaine, knock before coming in? What if we were actually naked?
Merlin: *speechless* *makes sure he's wearing clothes*
Gwaine: where's the fun in that? Anyway, Heath loves Wilfred's pies and his apple pies are heavenly.
Arthur: not that you want to taste his pies, is it?
Gwaine: what? of course not, I'm not, no, princess, hahaha
Merlin: well, it's not a bad idea but I feel like it needs one more push.
Arthur: hunting skills
Merlin: ....
Arthur: sword skills
Merlin: ....
Arthur: *sigh* don't judge me. I only know they like books.
Gwaine: lock them in the library until one of them confesses!
Merlin: ........*sigh* knights.

There is tension brewing in the right wing of science department. The rumours talk of Professor Stark being ridiculously reckless about his experiments again. But that's just hot air. MJ knows this. He's a meticulous person when it comes to them blowing things up in the lab. And a little too wire brained about his students' safety. He walks barefoot when working with heavy equipment. But he sent Harley to detention for handling glass tubes without his safety gloves.
It's a part of the package of Professor Stark's "science bros" experience and the few select of them have wholeheartedly committed themselves to it.
Well, there's also the other thing they've committed themselves to. And it must be why half the school is talking about the return of hot firemen trio.
"I hear the blond one is married to coach Carter?"
"Miss Sharon? Eugh! Aren't they like— related?"
"No! For the last time, Kate, they just look similar!"
"Still, ew. I heard he used to have hots for our principal."
"Okay, I did not know about that."
Foolish children, MJ snorts and opens the group chat.
"Who was it this time?"
Peter's reply is quick. She will forever be jealous of his ability to type without even looking at the screen. It is insanely unfair.
"Gwen."
MJ grins and ducks behind her book to avoid the questioning looks from her study group. But Kamala and Kate are too busy comparing the merits of Coach Sharon and Mister Blond Fireman. And Yelena is just snoring on the table with her hand stuck inside Kate's hoody.
Amateurs. Also, weirdoes.
"Miles says it was his turn though," Peter sends again, followed closely by Miles' ", IT WAS 😫".
Gwen just flips them all the bird, and then goes offline. To either plead for her innocence or keep a close eye on their job.
Nearly half an hour later, she sends them all a picture.
In it Professor Stark is standing with his arms crossed, looking smug about something. While the hot, blond fireman is adorably flushed and a little bit embarrassed.
"He bet that Tony couldn't state even one fire safety rule," she adds below the picture. Then adds a little smug grin and ", he listed ten".
"I call enemies to lovers."
Everyone sends Pav the side eye and MJ almost hits enter on "why do we need to put a genre on their romance" before deleting the entire sentence. She doesn't need a redo of Banner-Odinson drama in the group. Nobody does.
"Guys guys," Miles suddenly adds and MJ's eyes grow wide reading the next text.
"Sarge just tried to flirt with Tony and guess who got jealous," Hobie adds and—oh no.
"Hobie!!!!"
"Too slow, sorry 😎" Then he signs off on them.
"Wait," MJ asks, just to give Miles another chance. "Which one's Sarge?"
Miles sends a picture. In it, a beefy, long haired brunette is slouching next to Tony, a smarmy smile on his face while the hot blond is stoically staring at the wall.
"Isn't he the guy who's shacking up with our councellor?"
"Yep," Miles adds then. "🤔 Maybe he's inviting Tony for a three way?"
"Like a poly thingy," Pav asks and MJ can almost smell the incoming barrage of texts from him.
"Omg, guys 🫢
That would be so cute though! 💖
Professor would be like the small, adorable filling in their sandwich!"
"Erm."
"What even????"
"Pav, no."
"But what about Steve?"
"Wait..."
And then they all ask, simultaneously, because her friends are all idiots.
"Who's Steve?"
