with how we're all aware of how toxic masculinity leads men/boys to harass, assault, and abuse other men/boys, you'd think the fact they can be harmed by patriarchy and misogyny wouldn't be a controversial statment. *especially* marginalized men. but alas, many people have taken the "identity" in identity politics so literally, they just end up ignoring and reinforcing the harmful things they claim to be against.
also if you think the pain of the men harmed by toxic masculinity isn't a big deal because they're men... that is. that is literally you believing in toxic masculinity. like i thought we all knew part of toxic masculinity is that men shouldn't feel pain, they shouldn't cry, they can't ask for help or be truly hurt, etc. etc. and if they do any of these things, then they're not real men and not only deserve to be emasculated, but deserve to suffer. you just switched it to they are real men so they deserve to suffer.
and even though again, this is extra harmful for marginalized men, i shouldn't have to say that for you to care. if you only give support to people harmed by these systems when you think deserve it, you're always going to end up propping these systems up at some point. maybe you should stop that.
also. to any man reading this who feels like their pain doesn't matter: it does. you deserve to exist in a world where you're safe to be yourself and feel emotions, and get genuine protection and support. we all need to exist in that world. none of us deserve this hell.

I might have said some questionable things online but at least I didn't believe men crying about their "abusive" partners and didn't fall for their darvo tactics.
Most m*n you see online, besides having victim complex and trying to take away the voices of female victims, don't actually face abuse but rather complain about how it's great injustice that their exes didn't coddle them enough. A m*n would be calling his ex "abusive and manipulative" only for some dumb libfem to add fuel to the fire n call a woman she doesn't know "narcissistic and controlling gf". And then you find out that the "AbUsive" gf had been groomed, raped and exploited for years before she finally snapped. I don't know about y'all but I would never believe when my oppressors would claim to be victimized. I don't believe m*n, good luck to y'all tho.

One thing that I love about Sanderson is his ability to let men ugly cry.
His men are EMOTIONAL. They break down. They cry. They sob. They curl up into balls and rock back and forth. They break. And it isn’t depicted as weak. It isn’t depicted as unmanly. Kaladin, one of the toughest, most masculine men in the cosmere, ugly cries. He’s broken. No one on Roshar is going to say he’s weak or he needs to man up. Kelsier’s done it too. Rocked back and forth, shaking, sobbing, over what happened to him, and whose to say he doesn’t do it when he finally lets himself sleep during the last year of his life?
Dalinar breaks down. Another extremely masculine, hard man. He breaks down and sobs. He holds his son to his chest and CRIES. People did say he was growing weak, but not because of that. We all know these men are extremely strong, passionate, driven, and courageous. Their crying just makes them real. I love it. It sets a tone for reality. Men need to be given the allowance to cry.  So many men are afraid to open up around their girlfriends/wives. So many have done so, and the relationship died because she lost respect for him. Can you imagine?  LET MEN UGLY CRY

Your Blue Room.
I was thinking about men's fragility when I made this piece. For many have been taught to suppress their emotions, and find shame in expressing them.
Like in a room without exit.

THANK YOU EVERYONE 😭🐻
Here's to a end of a super amazing series of my life. I'll miss seeing every single one of you fine people. Thank you all so much for joining every mental health and addiction stream watching me pick myself up from nothing and building myself back up again. Being here with me when I celebrated my 9 year anniversary of being sober being there when I lost my sober companion dog and for when I save someone's life mid stream. I'll never forget these memories.

Does anyone else manically do stuff, then get super drained so you just lay down, staring into the void….. then get depressed and sad and the voices/thoughts get so loud and violent and start reminiscing and then you get anxious so you get up and try to find more things to do?
……. Asking for a friend 😕

Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month
Hey y’all! I know June is Pride Month but it’s also Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month so I want to shed some light on that.
It’s often harder to see what men go through due to silence and the stereotyps of “men don’t get depression” and “tough it out”.
This stigma is toxic and challenging for those who struggle with mental health (addictions, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, suicidal thoughts) and there are a couple of statistics that is like to share to help showcase how important this month should be for them and, of course, others.
“Men account for about 10% of patients with bulimia or anorexia.”
“Over 6 million men suffer from depression per year.”
“More than 3 million men in the US have panic disorder, agoraphobia (an anxiety disorder where they perceive their environment to be unsafe with not easy way to escape) or any other phobia.”
“Approximately 3.5 million people in the U.S. have been diagnosed with schizophrenia and 90% of those who are diagnosed by age 30 are men.”
Men experience a higher rate of suicide (in 2020, it was 3.9x more), are 2x more likely to binge drink than women, and are 3x as likely to die from alcohol abuse.
Mental health is important so for my followers, if you are ever dealing with something (even if you think it’s no big deal), please reach out.
You are loved and important and are so, so valuable to the people in your lives.
I will post resource links in the comments for anyone who needs it. I urge you please reach out to your male friends this month. Check on them.
Men struggle with mental health too.

Men hold mutually exclusive views (not during different time periods) and will switch up depending on whom they're talking to. They move goal posts to get what they want from different women. Unstable and hypocritical opportunitists who will lie and gaslight through their teeth without any shame. Is it that women are inherently feminine or is it that women these days are masculine and unworthy? Is it that lying cheating h0ars who are the worst people on planet or is it that women are sweet docile mothers who have motherly instinct towards everyone? Is it that men are epitome of physical and mental health or is it that their mental health isn't taken seriously and they're dying of depression?
The answer is IT DOESN'T MATTER. These usually are not different types of men talking. Often, you'll find a man leaving totally different comments. Men's words alone shouldn't matter. I love that the internet is one place where you can block out males and their worthless voices.

I'm gonna need some feminists to realize that ridiculing male SA survivors, male domestic violence victims, and mentally ill men is not "owning the patriarchy". It's reinforcing it.

To male victims of abuse
You are valid
Don't let others put you down just because you're a man.
You did not deserve to be abused; do not believe those who think you do.
You are wonderful, and you deserve a lot of love and good encouragement.
Don't let the Radfems get to you; they just want to promote negativity.
What happened to you matters. Don't believe people who say what happened to you is meaningless.
💙 You are amazing! and you deserve to be loved! :) 💙

I've been single and celibate for 3 years. Those 3 years, I craved connection so much that I'd be draining to others around me because I have yet to connect with myself as deeply as I would love to connect with others. I'm just now understanding that the relationship I have with myself sets the standard for my relationship with others. Now, having grown out of that toxic draining mindset, I thoroughly seek to deeply know myself inside and out.
