Sometimes, Georgia was amazed that they, she and Merlin, and survived as long as they had. With him wanting to use magic whenever possible to make things easier – or, in the incident of earlier that morning – to show people that they couldn’t just walk all over people, it was an almost miraculous feat for them to have evaded execution.

Now, however, she couldn’t quite believe what she was hearing. Stuck between a rock and a hard place, Merlin was refusing to use magic.

‘Merlin,’ she complained, ‘it’s ridiculously cold and now you refuse to do anything?’

He smirked at her, prodded the fire but kept his attention on her. ‘I’m only listening to you.’

‘Now? Now you listen to me?’ she complained, her outrage causing a couple of the knights to shift in their sleep. She lowered her voice a little. ‘I am thrilled, truly I am, that you are finally seeing sense. But now is not the moment for it!’

Merlin offered her little more than a shrug. ‘I had to start sometime.’

She groaned, buried her face in the scarf she’d fashioned for herself. ‘One day, Merlin, I’m going to kill you.’

‘No you won’t,’ he assured her, shifting so he was sitting beside her and wrapping an arm to hold her close to his side.

‘The smallest amount better,’ she conceded, snuggling a little closer to him. ‘Thanks.’

Many people agree that Arthur giving Merlin his mother's sigil was a proposal, and that leads me to two conclusions:

They didn't even date first. Arthur either decided in the moment that if he were to die, he could think of no one better to take his place--and if he survives, they could marry (having feelings for a while or realizing them in that moment and going with it) or was like oh shit I love him gotta marry right away.

2. They DID date, Merlin just didn't realize it. This of course, begs the question of when Arthur thought that they started to date

Childhood: Aedulf Morgan Pendragon the 3rd (named partly after Morgana) was born in Camelot to King Arthur and Queen Guinevere Pendragon a few years after the Battle of Camlann. He grew up quite the animal lover-- spending nearly all his free time in the stables, woods, owlry, falconry, fields, and doh kennels. When he wasn't in those places, he'd be playing with his siblings and friends, sparring, and doing his studies. One memorable moment in his childhood was when one of his older brothers convinced him that the owlman was real-- which established a life long fear for the young king.

Life: In his teens, he became a vigilante dressed in all black under the name 'Morgan Le Noir'-- alongside his brother, Duran-- saving people and animals under his parents' and siblings' noses. While also growing more and more fearful of the idea of out living his siblings. Eventually he met Isolde's former handmaiden, Brangaene, and fell in love with her. He grows up to become king of Camelot and marries her.

Unlike his brother, Doran--who had a similar faith--, Gwydre resented this very much and fought his parents on it constantly until they eventually gave in and gave him more freedom.

Life: He became a knight like most of his brothers before him while occasionally doing plays and shows. Eventually he goes on a quest to help Culhwch in winning his soon to he father in law's approval so he can marry Olwen (who is not his stepsister in this relam). Eventually losing his protective amulet in the process, leading to his death.

Death: He was slaughtered by the giant boar 'Twrch Trwyth.'

Can’t stop thinking about a very specific dynamic

A healer and a knight fall in love.

The healer spends hours healing everyone but themselves. Caring for the sick, stitching wounds, setting bones, pushing dislocated limbs back into place. Wearing themselves to exhaustion.

The knight gently tends to the healer. Holds them in a hot bath, rubbing the soreness from their muscles under the warm water. Applies balm to their chapped fingers. Brings them tea and tucks them into bed before climbing in beside them.

The knight defends everyone. Fights off the enemy with a sword and a shield, takes the blows intended for someone else, holds the line until help arrives, fights through any and all injuries they need to in order to defend those under their protection.

The healer defends the knight when they’re down for the count. When the knight collapses, the healer takes up their sword and defends them until they get back to their feet. If someone dares to say anything against their knight they get in their faces and the healers words are sharp and cold as any blade, cutting deep into their opponent.

The Vvitch - is your OC superstitious? If so, about what?

She’s not particularly superstitious, but she does automatically salute animals. Started off as a little game between her and Merlin when they were growing up, but since then it’s become something of a habit more than a superstition; she does seem to think that without doing it she might have a little bit of bad luck.

Us - how would your OC outsmart their own doppelganger?

For Georgia, it wouldn’t so much be outsmarting her doppelganger, than proving to other people that she’s her and the other one isn’t. So, where her double would probably try being all sweetness and light to Merlin and people, she’d make the odd scathing comment while still backing them up however possible. Either that, or she’d try persuading Merlin to use a spell to dismiss the double.

The Exorcist - if your OC was a demon, what shenanigans would they get up to?

Giving Georgia the power of a demon would be a bad idea. She’d get back at anyone who so much as looked at Merlin or people she cared about in the wrong way - making whatever insult they made be what they looked like/acted like. She’d probably also just magic up food or something; not really a bad thing, but a thing she’d do.
