Doorbell camera footage captures first-ever sound of a meteorite hitting Earth as it struck couple’s home
Joe and Laura Velaidum found grey dust scattered outside their house on Prince Edward Island on a summers day last year, which left them rather puzzled.
Upon checking the security footage of their home, they were left shocked after watching a clip that appears to show a rock falling out of the sky and crashing to the ground in close proximity to their home. Take a look here:
youtube
Amazed by their discovery, Joe and Laura decided to collect samples of the rock and sent it off to the University of Alberta for further inspection.
Chris Herd, who is the curator of the university’s meteorite collection, was able to confirm where their rock had come from.
And to much excitement of space enthusiasts out there, Herd said the samples had indeed come from outer space.
“As the first and only meteorite from the province of Prince Edward Island, the Charlottetown Meteorite sure announced its arrival in a spectacular way," he told CBC.
“No other meteorite fall has been documented like this, complete with sound. It adds a whole new dimension to the natural history of the Island.”

The expert added: "It’s really awesome. It’s actually the first and only meteorite ever found on the Island, and what a way to make that discovery.
“Every time that this happens, it’s a new sample from space. It’s from the asteroid belt… between Mars and Jupiter, so it’s come a long way.”
Herd went on to tell CBC that meteorites typically travel at around 60,000 kmph (37,280 mph) before slowing down as they approach normal civilisation.
Therefore, the rock likely hit the ground at a speed of 200 kmph (124 mph), according to the expert.

The civilization trapped in an ice meteorite.
Superman, after saving the earth from another earth ending bomb, breeze through space, were glowing clouds of gas and dust known as a planetary nebula floated around aimlessly with glowing green dwarf particles as if a solar system was sucked into, but there only lays a sun and 7 planets here before before something caught his eye.
A pusling aimlessly floating ball like metorite full of frozen white ice with green dipped in the bottom in the middle of space. The pulsing glow flickers like a couple of very slow heartbeats.
Superman used his x ray vision to see inside, and what he saw immediately immediately griped the ice and speed flew over through back to the Watchtower which was not far from here.
Superman spoke in the coms of his oxygen mask to the Watchtower.
"Open the space entrance gates, and someone calls in Beatriz Da Costa. I found a floating town trapped in metorite ice with what seems civilians' insides." Superman spoke in the coms as he pushed the metorite carefully toward the watchtower, unaware of the gigantic glowing transparent being with 8 neon green eyes staring at him wrapped around the ice metorite like a Serpent to it's eggs.

When Joe Velaidum and his partner Laura Kelly stepped outside on a July afternoon to walk their dogs in Prince Edward Island, Canada, he wasn't expecting to come home to something out of this world. "We were startled to find the walkway littered with debris. Stones everywhere. They were scattered everywhere. And at first, we had no idea what caused it," Velaidum tells NPR. In fact, Velaidum thought it was something that fell off the roof and began to clean up the gray, dusty material. Kelly's parents, who live nearby, told them they had heard a loud bang. They suggested it could have been a meteorite strike. Velaidum checked his home security footage and realized they were right. The meteorite strike is believed to be the first time the complete sound of a meteorite hitting Earth has been recorded on video, one expert says.
