Started using this app called WeWard. Basically it counts your steps and by the end of each day you convert them (to save them) and you get points and will actually get you real stuff when you save up. Even money, which thank god since I can’t work and have no income. I’m on Medicaid and food stamps.
I like this because as you can see, I don’t leave the house a lot for health reasons, but the steps I do take still go towards goals! It doesn’t matter how many you do each day. It just adds up over time. Today I got 1 W point just for going to the kitchen.
I love this because it doesn’t make me feel bad for barely walking.
There’s also these cards you can collect that I don’t understand as much but I think the general idea is if you want to do that aspect of the app, you walk to whatever destination in your area that the card is at.
Soo I recommend! Even if you can only walk a few steps to the bathroom.
Oh also here’s my referral code if you want. You get 150w points just for using it and I get 50w!

Migraine with aura is something else because it’s like “hey, you know what would be fun to add to that absolutely skull splitting headache you’re going to have? Some other symptoms that not only make your head hurt but also make you feel a little bit like you’re gaslighting yourself!”

Today, after 12 years, I experienced an aura migraine again (migraine with aura/classic migraine). It had been so long and the aura was so intense, it almost completely clouded my vision that, for a moment, I feared I might actually be going blind. Never experienced it like this before. The infamous 'C'/curved-shape-with-zigzag-patterns manifested so quickly and it was very big this time and right in the center of my vision, when in the past it used to grow very slowly from a tiny speck in the far corner of my left eye. It was occurring with the blank spots simultaneously, when in the past the blank spots came first and then the 'c-zigzag' only followed minutes after the blank spots disappear (and then the migraine)
The bright side this time, though, is that I didn't immediately experience any migraine. In fact, I started thinking it might be experiencing what they call a silent migraine (an aura without migraine). The ache did come after several minutes but it felt just like any normal headache; no crippling pain that would render me basically immobile for several hours, where lifting a finger or even just rolling my eyes would be excruciating, no nausea, none of the usual tingling numbness on the left side of my face or tip of the fingers, no sensitivity to light and sound, no fatigue. I wouldn't even be able to open my eyes, let alone be on my phone as I am right now, if I was experiencing the usual episode from back in the day.
Can't believe it's been more than a decade since I've been free of this suffering that nobody around me understands. And now it's back. Started one day out of the blue when I was 8 years old and continued for the next 7 years. Whenever I think about it, I can't help but remember the bad memories - doctors being dismissive, people, even my closest ones, being insensitive, my friends at school thinking I'm faking it (who could blame them, when one moment I'd be loud, hyper and playful and then the next, I can barely stand or open my eyes and crying that my head feels like it's about to explode? I couldn't understand it myself. Still, there's something particularly emotionally scarring about people, especially those who matter to you, not understanding or caring when you're going through something so painful and traumatizing)
And then one day, when I was 15, it all just stopped. There were days when it felt like it was all a fever dream. But now it's returned, as if to remind me that it was all very real.
I wonder why it even started, why it stopped, and why it's started again. If we're gonna do this again for the next several years, I'd prefer the new experience to the old one. The old episodes were absolute hell. I don't wanna go back to the days of contemplating self-unaliving just to stop the agony.

Man, migraines with aura are SCARY.
You basically can get stroke symptoms, but they go away again after a while. My dad just got driven to a hospital for one again and it's ALWAYS scary when he starts stuttering.
Medical side of tumblr, any advice for me and or him?

I just had a migraine visual aura stop as a tiny little speck and in literally a few seconds I would not properly see out of either eyes because the aura filled my vision that fast. I am not exaggerating, I noticed the tiny speck of aura and in the few seconds it took for me to grab my meds from my bag the aura spread to the point that I could not read. I think that's a world record and in related news, I am visiting urgent care as so as I am able to because what the fuck. That should not happen. I think is has something to do with my eye photophobia suddenly getting so much worse so quickly over the last few months. There might be something wrong with my eyes and I'm very worried

For those with migraines that have visual symptoms:
No option for photosensitivity is included because that's more of a sensation of discomfort

Cherik - Whumptober Day 2
Charles already has a feeling that something is going to go wrong as they make their way to the amusement park. When a migraine suddenly sparks up he doesn't want to ruin the long awaited visit to the park. He attempts to hide his pain and ultimately fails.

Had to give myself an injection yesterday for migraines and was also diagnosed with syncope. I found out I also qualify for a syncope service dog if I needed one in the future.

Migraine with aura is its own kind of nightmare .. when can I stop being a vampire without triggering another one? When can I stop living like I’m waiting for the other shoe to drop? Is this my new reality? 💀
