On one hand, I feel horribly guilty for having a couple weekends where I've committed to absolutely nothing to the point of backing out of volunteering at a local dog show.

On the other hand, I have dog sport events literally every weekend and practice or class at least twice a week throughout the entirety of October and November. I think I get a free pass for a couple weekends.

#and this doesn't even count my work disc dog events #those start again next week #I have two disc dog events and two obedience trials and the three separate mondioring seminars #on top of work disc dog events and AKC Trick Dog classes at multiple levels I'll be hosting and an extracurricular play skills class #that will make my Sundays at 12 hour work day even if it's a very rewarding one with Limited Basic obedience work #I go through Vicious Cycles of doing as much as physically possible during busy season and then crashing during the dead seasons #but I need to support my hobby jobby job and my partners Hobby jobby job as much as I can to keep this sustainable #and 10 is in his Peak trialing time before he starts losing Mobility #and Valkyrie is in her Peak training time to build her up as a multi-sport dog #so here we go #and Mr tumnus gets to be a little bit of a living plush animal for a while since I can't afford to show a third animal right now #I honestly think he would do great showing and we would both have fun #but I can keep him in good condition and get out there again in a year or two when I can afford a second ferret and yet another sport #the life of Ron #maybe if a manic enough I won't notice that my birthday is coming up again #and I'll get enough done before I have to have surgery that I won't be going insane through recovery

Anyone out there got a solution for when you're feeling really stuck with your art and everyone and their mother tells you the solution is to do studies and figure drawings and other such things but even just thinking about doing those things makes you Spiral and want to Kill Yourself?

#monster noises #it's 1am no one will see this it's fine #it's a genuine problem though i Wish i could be aotherfucker who found it engaging and satisfying to do figure drawing #but i both A) had some bad experiences with this type of learning in highschool that i guess kinda make them triggering for me i guess?#and B) my brain doesn't seem to be able to like.. Learn Things.... That Way.... or at least not Obviously #i mean obviously i've improved as an artist over time in general #and i won't lie and say i've Never done figure drawing or studies or anything #but i never leave those situations feeling like i've Learned anything #mostly i've just sat for several hours growing increasinglyore frustrated #at my limitations and inability to achieve what i feel should come to me intuatively #and even if i Did feel like i've learned something i can seemingly never turn around and then apply it to something else #my brain does not make those lateral connections #it's why i can't do word problems in math.#and plus i also find stuff like figure drawing especially Rarely helps me make progress on the parts of my work i Actually want to improve #fluidity/mobility/stylization and surrealism #and only reinforces practices i want to pull away from #realism/'correctness'#all this combined leaves me just kinda stuck because i really can't power through my fear of these practicing methods #because i also don't find them useful #but i have no alternatives because it's like.. the only thing anyone suggests because theoretically is Does Work #but just not when you're Specifically Busted like I'm Busted #and so I just continue to stagnate until idk.. i find something else that can abruptly and suddenly launch me forward again?.#augh.. being an artist is The Most Enjoyable (_=<=)_

i truly did not appreciate what i had until it was gone. i just got into owl house and just as i thought traumatized little war criminal hunter is exactly my type of miserable wet cat of a blorbo but alas, ao3 is still either barely loading or boots me out of my account every couple of minutes or so. on a similar note, that also makes it really hard to work on my fics bc i somehow got into a habit of straight up editing my shit right there on the post and edit page like an insane person. and of course it had to happen when i finally survived to see my vacation and actually have free time to actually write. also tumblr for some reason does not want to work on my laptop but loads and works just fine on mobile??

#did you know on mobile they dont let you add the same song multiple times?? i had to jump on my computer for this. it was very annoying #again: DONT LISTEN TO IT. its 8hrs long where probably six and a half of those hours at the least are dedicated to sonny and cher.
