quite frankly I think people have forgotten that the kinks that lusthounds are allowing are actually pretty common. it's estimated that about 62 percent of 'women' have non con kinks, and incest is also a really common kink, and the evidence for that is honestly right there on any website you can find porn on.

I think it's ridiculous that people have forgotten that fiction is a safe space to explore your darker side, simply for the fact that its fiction. toyhouse allows everything that lusthounds is allowing, and lusthounds isn't allowing loli/shota/cub from the looks of it, which IS against toyhouse rules, so they're following toyhouses rules.

if you have an issue with ehat lusthounds is allowing, you also need to have an issue with toyhouse and it's rules itself.

noncon, incest, dubcon and all of that is all easily accessible in writing and books as well, and HIGHLY sought after, but I don't see that get the same censorship/hatred that users on toyhouse give to kink in artist adult spaces.

Lusthounds has maturelocked all their threads, they've clearly labeled their content and target audience with a disclaimer that states what they allow, and even have rules regarding how their kinks should be censored, which again fan be found in the disclaimer, AND on their community survey form, they ask for help regarding lore surrounding ace hounds in a primary sex centered community as well as transgender hounds in a species that can actively shape-shift.

I'd say they're doing a damn good job at making sure their community is safe and inclusive, and have made sure to warn people themselves about what their community allows. at this point, they're doing nothing wrong and are following all toyhouse rules. yall are just mad that they're allowing things you don't personally like.

you need to step up and take responsibility for curating your own space.

I'm very new to this. Do you have a list of the "big sins" that are the most important to avoid when writing plural characters?

Most of these Big Sins are Big Sins in a vacuum, so most of these have an exception to the rule. And they're not if you've created the exception, that's when you can always ask for another second opinion from a friend or this blog.

Serial killer alter! This is the first trope that most media jumps to, and probably has the least wiggle room. The only way I can really picture this not being offensive is if this is one system out of a bunch of others in the same story that don't do this.

Different alters/headmates that look different affecting how the body looks outside when they front. While there are definitely cases where some headmates present as having certain disorders that others don't, this doesn't affect what their body looks like. The Caveat to this is that your character could be a shapeshifter from another source that's not being a system, and that's perfectly fine!

Beyond those two, for my screening purposes, it very much becomes case by case. And it really becomes a case of if something will be an offensive fit with the context you've put your plural character in, moreso than a blanket statement.

I know lusthounds isn’t a big discussion topic right now and I’m happy about that because the species does not deserve the hate it’s getting

I just want to vent about the fact that they have to have a private ping list because all of this. It’s just- cruel to say the least.

As someone who is a victim of extreme shit and developed kinks because of it, it completely scares me to even allow my coping characters outside auth with this response. Y’all claim to be accepting of every trauma victim til that victim expresses their feelings different from your expectation, sometimes through a sexual healthy way with CONSENTING ADULTS. The lack of empathy is literally the reasons why victims are kept to themselves because the guilt of already having developed taboo kinks from it is already enough. We don’t need more shame than we’re already giving ourselves

There’s no such thing as a perfect victim and y’all need to get that puritan mindset outta ya heads.

I honestly think Lusthounds may give an opportunity and a safe space for those kinds of survivors that cope/process through sexual expression and I certainly hope y’all leave them alone. Block and move on, no need to proudly run to drama blogs and cry ab blocking everyone who showed interest because ya too succubun brainrot for it. (Shade bc ya claim to be kink and bdsm friendly when y’all the most vanilla shit I’ve seen 💀)

So I'm playing da2 for the first time after following you for years, and I really like what you've talked about before setting up tactics so that your siblings/romance/etc respond to come and protect you when under attack or below x health. Would you mind explaining how you do that? Idk if I'm missing something but these tactics options don't seem to be very extensive 🥴

it’s hard to do anything incredibly specific, “protect me if i’m under x health” might be beyond it, but: inputting Enemy Attacking: Hawke -> Attack will have them go for anyone coming after you. you can also input more specific commands for if Enemy Attacking: Hawke, like with my archer i’ve been having bethany or merrill cast horror to take anyone trying to attack me out of play for a bit. you could probably also have fenris or isabela use something like taunt or across the bow to draw the enemy’s attention from you, that would be cute. whatever takes ur fancy!!

(the above is not just fun storytelling it’s actual good tactics. protect ur squishies)

actually, you could probably use da2’s ‘Use current condition for next tactic’ action, which i haven’t taken advantage of before, to do something more specific. i wonder if you input ‘Hawke: Health <50% -> Use current condition for next tactic’ and then ‘Enemy Attacking: Hawke -> Attack’, maybe you really could have them particularly come to your aid if you’re already hurt. i’ve never tried this but food for thought!

New ground has been broken in the field of human vitality! I've successfully edited an existing save file, for what I believe to be the first time ever. So far this is not useful at all as a modding technique (it's much easier to make edits by changing the underlying VFS-archived files), but it'll be a big help to understanding the decompressed save file format :-)
