holy shit, what's the story of colon puncture if you don't mind answering?
I was chronically constipated for most of my childhood and i ended up in the hospital twice because of it. The last time it happened i was like 9 years old and I woke up in the worst physical pain ive ever been in my life to DATE, literally screaming in bed, unable to get up. My mom, freaking out, took me to the hospital, where the pain magically disappeared. The nurse suggested that i was making it up and my mom was extremely confused (and pissed) since ive never been the type to fake illnesses to get out of school, but then the doctor arrived, pressed on my stomach when i proceeded to destroy some more eardrums. She immediately had some x-rays done on me, which revealed that my bowels were beginning to TWIST & TEAR to accomodate more shit. The end.

i think that veganism as a political movement has a lot of interesting things to say about how food agriculture has been shaped by consumerism and the way its alienated the average westerner from food production especially around meat. its a cruel cruel industry for everyone involved and it sucks.
unfortunately it also overwelmingly falls victim (like a lot of other socially progressive political movements lol) to a complete inability or perhaps a refusal to engage with rural indigenous communities especially in the global south. which is ironic because (like a lot of other socially progressive political movements) much of their theoretical framework for reforming society Depends on rural indigenous communities especially in the global south ^.^
#this isnt just about how a lot of rural indigenous communities cannot survive on a vegan diet altho that is part of it#but its also more importantly about how a lot of the global north cannot survive on a vegan diet without exploitation!#and a lot of my issues with veganism as a political movement stems from the fact that ive never heard of a vegan solution to#food production that isnt reliant on restructuring imperialist foodways but just Making them Vegan Now#meanwhile you look at historic examples of widespread adoption of veganism and vegetarianism#and theyre almost all in subtropical fertile regions with a huge diversity of native grains and fruit and veg#i guess the uk is a good example of it because the uk already imports so much fruit and vegetables#the uk as an island in a temperate/subarctic position cannot grow the amount of food required to feed their population on a vegan diet#this goes for a lot of europe and north america in fact. so if the whole world was just gonna switch to a vegan lifestyle#the global north would largely be fed by the global south (as it is now)#perpetuating systems of oppression of both land and people in the global south. not much would change on that end#this is largely because a lot of vegans are these super alienated super priviliged white settlers from the suburbs#and they project their alienation onto others#anyway i think about the politics of veganism a lot for someone who will never be vegan (due to geographical and ethical concerns)#probably because until recently my family and others in my area have relied on hunting for food

3.57 miles today
Some speed walking, some jogging, some with my dog Nelly and some without.
A lot of up hill today and the weather was wet and windy!
I was ready for it though and I’m smiling now. Yay!

not me adding literal buddhist monk shaolin masters to my very short list of ppl I’ve ever strongly related to the philosophy/mentality/approach to life of oh boy
#anthony padilla#buddhist monks#philosophy#trans#Idk what this says abt me for any of you who don't know me that well yet lmao#but it is fascinating to me at least that between the discipline of language learning since childhood#my shonen protagonist energy and slight megalomania#and my nonbinary trans thoughts about physical change and self improvement etc etc etc#despite coming from such vastly different backgrounds (not just culturally just in the like- I'm a queer artist n educator n stuff#and they're literal monks in an organised religion/belief system)#we have still somehow arrived at so many similar not only beliefs but also just like ways of living and discipline and worldview#something something outsider perspective that queer people will be more prone to due to being an eternal minority in any part of the world#while ppl like monks/nuns take up the lifestyle they lead in order to alienate themselves from the rest of society for religion's sake#something something the historic connection between ppl who dedicate their life to religion (monks/nuns/priests/etc) and the queer community#and various cultures where genderqueer ppl's role is/was that of religious leaders#something something maybe in a changing world that is not as religious anymore we can still be advisors and wise ppl to consult#like I think that's literally the conclusion I've arrived at for my pitch to the feminists is#you will never truly manage to include us as equals for sheer numbers reasons so you might as well use us and our skills and insights#for the gender lib movement in other more distinct ways that neither need you to fully equate us to you nor to limit us to your part of it#pay the transfemmes to teach y'all coding karlie kloss can't do it all on her own#and pay me to come teach you abt transmasc inclusion and internalised misandry and the terfs#and you'll find plenty of use from having us around

There’s “Good” in Goodbye and here’s why…
Tumblr media
Do you notice that when you let people, possessions, and memories go, you feel lighter and more at ease? Maybe a little sad at first, but lighter nonetheless. Well, it’s true.
When you are releasing what no longer serves your greater good or divine purpose you are growing, evolving, and attracting what your higher self wants now.
Everything is energy. Purging is cleansing. Old cycles must close for new ones to begin.
“Spiritual purging is a way to get rid of bad energies that are believed to cause negative health and emotional effects on the body. Depending on the tradition, these energies can be called differently, and different processes can carry out the removal or reordering of energies.”
As you keep creating new goals, shifting your mindset, prioritizing your needs, and setting new boundaries, you will quickly realize that there are things that don’t belong anymore.
This part is VERY important, and not for the weak:
You can not get attached to ANYTHING, which includes people and possessions.
Loss is a part of life and also a part of growth, so neither can exist without the other.
Everything is temporary.
Nothing is forever.
You have an expiration date.
My friend Sammy once said to me, you were born naked, so anything that you have is a positive. When you lose something, you’re STILL in the positive. That was GOLD!
So you see, you shouldn't get sad. Be grateful, and aspire for more and better. If it’s gone, wasn’t meant to stay, chin up, and move on, there are fabulous things ahead in store for you.
Also, we should all strive to have more, be more, and do more. You should not have to force anything in life, not even a pimple. If it’s meant for you, it will not pass you by, and it will stay to provide you happiness, joy, and love for the time that it is supposed to.
Now ask yourself the following questions:
What makes you happy?
What stresses you out?
What inspires you?
What gives you doubt?
What debt can you get rid of?
What friends support you?
What people make you question yourself?
What distracts you?
What changes do you need to make to get rid of negativity?
What do you feel is holding you back?
Money is energy. Love is energy. Things are energy. Action is energy. People are energy. Positivity is energy. Negativity is energy.
Be like the movie “Frozen” and LET IT GO. Whatever person, place, or thing that popped into your head that is not giving you happiness, find a way to get it out of your life ASAP.
If the car is bothering you, sell it. If the apartment is making you want to leave instead of staying, start looking at other options - you are not a TREE, so make moves. If the clothes are not “giving” abundance vibes, GoodWill that shit stat. If your circle is pushing you to have all nighters, and you start losing days, you already know. Successful people aren't popping pills and staying out till 6 am, unless you're John Summit, and he'll grow out of it eventually.
Honestly, like, how can you expect to have and attract new abundance and prosperity when you are holding on to shitty friends, shitty clothes, a shitty lifestyle, and a shitty mindest? HUH? Okay… wake up! Wake the FUCK UP and change your life or stay stuck.
This quote hit: “If you sit in shit for too long, it stops smelling” - Jenifer Lewis
So, if you're not making moves towards elevating yourself, you're making problems. PERIOD.
If it doesn’t bring you joy, excitement, happiness, and security… “Cut it (Yeah), cut it (Bah), cut it (Skrrt), cut it (Bah)”
Until next time.
