It’s true that I’ve had to reimagine my day to day life since we got her, but I can’t imagine how we got this lucky. We thought we would have to work to earn her love, but from the moment she entered our house it’s been a cuddlefest, one I couldn’t possibly deny. There are hurdles she will be facing to be sure (and she will still need to meet the cats face to face) but I’m so happy to see this happy lil cheese every day. Welcome home Raclette!

I think I've talked about Fernando's before on here but. I really miss when he had the black fireproofs bcs it just made hom feel so much more intimidating/larger-than-life to me. The way he prowled around the paddock, just very big cat to me! Though I once told my mom this and she said, "more like a bobcat, he's so small." 😭

Seb is a fennec fox because...idk why it just suits him. He is both kitty and puppy, so I think foxes in general suit him bcs they're described as, "just cat software running on dog hardware." And fennec foxes are blondies too! The way they make little laughing noises, and also the way their ears/tails are way too big for their body also remind me of him.

Jense has always and will always be a wolf to me bcs his wolfish smile. He's just got that big, bad wolf vibe. He wants to snap you up! On the whole dog-cat scale, to me he just feels like neither really suits him. Wolves are so noble to me!!

Mark is dog boy, what else needs to be said!? Though there is something to be said about how the rest of them are wdcs and are wild animals, and he's.... domesticated. Something something wild animals seen as more noble and impressive- He really is just whatever dog breed he has irl, they are his comrades.

Damian Wayne "The Robin of Pets"

Just as Bruce seems to have a compulsion to adopt children, Damian seems to have inherited that gene but when it comes to pets, which are quite numerous and of all sizes and colors which are:

To strengthen their father-son bond, Bruce adopted a puppy as a gift in an effort to instill empathy for others in Damian. Although Damian was initially less than enthusiastic about the idea and was even distant simply calling him "dog," over time they became very close and best friends, eventually naming him after the Shakespearean literary hero.

Spotty is a small spotted mouse who lives in the sewers of Gotham and Damian greets him every time he visits those places.

After a mission in a slaughterhouse, Damian decides to adopt his peculiar bovine friend and even after witnessing the cruelty in those places he decides to become a vegetarian.

Pennyworth adopted this one for Damian from a shelter. Damian was somewhat skeptical as he believed he could not keep it for long, but upon seeing the kitten's personality he was captivated and named it after the person who gave it to him.

🦃 Jᴇʀʀʏ ᴛʜᴇ Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ

Batman and Robin ruin the Penguin's attempt to ruin Thanksgiving thanks to Damian's trumpet. That's where he meets his feathered friend, who under the name of Jerry joins the Batfamily dinner. As a invited, not as the main course, don't worry.

🦇 Gᴏʟɪᴀᴛʜ ᴛʜᴇ Dʀᴀɢᴏɴ-ʙᴀᴛ

During one of the League of Assassins' tests in the Year of Blood, Damian is sent to exterminate a population of Dragon-bats and just when he is finishing the objective, a small puppy moves Damian to the core because the little one, instead of hating him for what he did, it tries to console him. That's how he decides to keep him as a "trophy" and his most loyal pet.

🐉 Wɪɢɢʟᴇs ᴛʜᴇ Jᴀᴘᴀɴᴇsᴇ Dʀᴀɢᴏɴ

During a joint mission with Nightwing in the country of the rising sun, Damian meets a dragon that helps them defeat criminals. Upon returning to Gotham, this huge friend ends up in the Batcave with Goliath and Batcow. Wiggles does not have a name during the course of the adventure but in an interaction between one of the writers and a fan he ends up being named as Wiggles the Japanese dragon. Where the Bats Come to Hide

Part 1

What if the reason Damian loves and wants so many animals isn't just because they are cute what if it's the protection.

A giant Great Dane who is a cuddly weapon.

Damian trained Titus. A dog who is 200 pounds and pure muscle. An animal who can guard Damian while he sleeps who's weight every night is a reminder that someone will die and sacrifice themselves before allowing any harm to come to its owner. Who Damian can in a heart beat call when he wakes up in a cold sweat and feels like someones lurking in the shadows.

He loves his family trusts them but nights when he can't stop shaking or when he goes to take a shower but can't leave his back unguarded all he has to do is look to the corner and see his protecter ready and waiting.

He doesn't have to worry about if his brothers or father will might make fun of him because he doesn't feel safe Titus and Alfred are right there.

He chooses to sleep with his knife yet he doesn't have to because Titus is ready.

Animals don't betray you and he can sleep peacfully under the protection of his best friend.

A best friend who is a whistle away who won't judge or misunderstand who knows and loves Damian unconditionally.

Compiled here is almost every single design sketch I've done for this... AU? It's my nonsense, take it or leave it! The tag for it is "#The Great Detective's Animal Attorney", but the prefix is mostly for filtering, I just call it "Animal Attorney".

I must disclaim that this is not meant to "compete" with any other AUs or designs! They're all real and I hope my dognix can be friends with yours.

The below post has my designs for the Gavin brothers, Maya, Franziska, Phoenix, Athena, Sholmes, Lord van Zieks, aaand a teeny Harebrayne. Sadly, no Apollo this time, all his art is doodles and I hit image limit anyways! Him and Trucy may get their own post soon, however!

These were all done with my non-dominant hand, and Athena was done on a Magma board, if that explains the anything.

The Gavins are the first ones I really did, and they're both caracals! I've kinda wanted to go back and change Klavier a bit in regards to an insane headcanon, but caracalvier is too iconic like this, I just can't do it

Putting Maya and Fran together, cause they're both kitties! If Maya was a specific breed, then I forgot, but Fransizka (and her dad, by extension) are both oriental longhairs. If I weren't presently injured, I'd draw a scrungly Manfred, but alas your mind's eye will have to do the work.

Phoenix is a puppy dog! Very very nearly made him a hyena... But I couldn't. I couldn't reconcile it with Ryunosuke. I have a Yeenix in the back, for any interested parties

LASTLY for my main-series designs is Athena! She's a seal. I don't think I had a specific reason besides not being able to get ears to fit with that ponytail... Might change her to a sea lion, though!

AAAAND TGAA BONUSES... Aka the Barokorn Cinematic Universe

Sholmes is a lion (with his sad little low testosterone mane)! He was easily the hardest, as I went back and forth... Alot. He was a pigeon at first! I contemplated rabbit..? But I tried to steer away from the mascot designs, generally. I'm happy with the decision of lion, however, mostly cause it gives him fun symbolism with the whole Professor thing.

The van Zieks-es are unicorns, and Bunnybrain is a pony! I could go more in-depth, buuut that's kinda spoilery

Ryunosuke and Kazuma (not pictured) are both puppy dogs, and I think I settled on bunny for Susato?? To make her pops a bunny also? I also have some sketches of her as a sugar glider, but I don't really like most of their art 👎 so there's a couple gaps here

If anyone wants to (??!?!?!!) you can use these designs for pretty much anything you want (and feel free to extrapolate upon the rest of their designs, most of these are very limited), just make sure to tag me, partially for credit, but also because I'd just REAAAALLY want to see... Another random pencil sketchdump while I wait for my laptop to charge.

Oval-shaped faces are personally tricky to do digitally compared on paper. And guess who has an oval-shaped face??

On the third pic's bottom left, I tested giving Connie a little heart-shape to see how it looks because heart-shapes are relatively the easiest to me digitally; maybe I can cheat a bit there, you know? (And it works great for others.) And to be honest.. I'm really not sure about it. :/ I definitely like the one on the right more. But how the heck is it so hard to do on the tabbbbb?
