It's quite funny having followed you for years and years and knowing Machete as his dark, bloodied, cunning (and always on the edge of getting horribly murdered for his hubris) incarnation, and coming into 2024 and just... yeah he's gay now. Really loving the genre of story you write where our op asshole (Alastor) is forced into being cared for by the other residents at the hotel and accidentally grows a heart that he will vehemently deny.

Ahaha, it's my way of coping with his little breakdown in the last song of the finale. I'm choosing to interpret it as, aside from the mystery of his contract, being brought about by the realization that Alastor actually cares about the hotel and its denizens, and how much he hates the tangibly demonstrated vulnerability of that, especially right after he's arguably been punished for caring by Adam wounding him so severely. And if we aren't going to get canon capitalization on that for at least another year or more, then I can dang well at least keep cooking my own food! >:)

Guess how? ✨Genetics!!!!!! ✨ :D Not everyone in my family had a native american partner who they had kids with. So, through the power of how things work, the tanned skin faded out of my genetics. I still have the dark hair characteristics, and I'm only like....1/16th now or something. But like- I've done my research. like I said. I also literally used colours from both shows for my color selection???????? I also consulted heavily with my Native American mutuals about my redesign for Rikka and they said it was okay because skin colour is a spectrum and not everyone has the same pigments in their skin. Even people who are tanned, black, white, doesn't matter. Not everyone in the water.tribes have darker tanned skin. Rikka is still tan! She's just not heavily dark tan. I'm going to assume you were talking about my old redesign. I was basing it on L.ok, and yeah. there are lighter skinned waterbenders like Ta.hno for instance. People don't have a gripe with that????? At least from what I've seen????? That's where I got her skin colour from before. And I decided to change it a month or so ago. But if you are talking about my old redesign, please educate yourself and see that I have redone my oc with new colours and have talked with native americans. like- I don't mean to sound like a total dick. this just really irritates me. When I have talked with people while designing her and my own cultural background- as lacking as it is because my paternal family lost touch with it's roots. But this really ruined my vacation. YEAH. No problem, I didn't think I'd go that detailed either, but I enjoyed it 😂 I guess it was something I needed to get out of my chest.

And I think it depends a little bit on how the MC is, so I'm answering from my MC's point of view.

It would be a mix of frustration, disappointment and resentment. They're fresh out of Hogwarts when a different kid is suffering the same amount of danger and Dumbledore is still doing absolutely nothing; however, for some reason, that kid is not getting punished for getting himself and his friends into danger.

Everything the general public knows about Harry comes from the Prophet or the rumors going around, so MC's behavior may be different depending on who they romance and how close their friendship with the Weasleys is.

They'd never blame Harry, but they wouldn't be too compassionate either. Poor Harry, yes, but he's clearly Dumbledore's favourite, so he should be fine.

Of course, this would change around fourth year and the end of the tournament since Cedric was MC's friend. Death makes it all click.

They're all kids and the professors' favouritism and incompetence shouldn't affect how others agree to help. Hating Dumbledore doesn't mean MC won't try keeping children alive.

When war starts I doubt MC would directly work with the OotP unless their friends and partner asked them to, but they'd help Harry nonetheless in whichever way they can.
