I'm cat mom to an elderly blind long hair domestic and live in an area with a high cost of living and constantly increasing unhoused population.

Creating this because the last one has fizzled out.

I am a Black™️, so I haven't really been inside of The Boys fandom, despite watching the show for as long as it's been on. There's never been an important Black woman for me to get involved in fandom business, so I didn't know that some of these... viewers... were this way about Homelander.

So, let me offer my one fragment of advice, that I, too, shall be taking: You don't have to have no discussions with no Homelander fan, Beloved. You don't have to explain or anything. You can enjoy what's going on without ever knowing they're out there being. I didn't know before seeing complaints related specifically to Marie.

I enjoy plenty of shows for plenty of reasons. I enjoy very few fandoms for very few and predictable reasons. And I don't fw them like that. The only reason I have engaged with Gen V is because there is finally a Black woman to discuss.

The last person I will be discussing a Black female character with is somebody such as a Homelander fan. I promise, y'all do not have to do it, unless it amuses you, then go wild. But the consensus seems to be that it doesn't amuse you. So. Let them enjoy their rancid slim milk away from you. What if they ask you a question? You don't have to talk to them. What if they reblogging your post with comments. You don't have to talk to them. You don't have to talk to nobody in any fandom, and since it's this particular fandom's first Black woman, I see a lot more fans than I used to, so I'm just clarifying: You ain't gotta say shit to them people if you don't want to.

To the Melanated Soul Circle

I know that I am pretty much the person who has this information in mind, but today is the day that I invited mutuals and followers into what I have called the "Melanated Soul Circle" of my fandom culture (when Tumblr tried chats for a bit). Then, they took those away and we moved to Discord, then. Then, I had a psychological crisis and transferred the Discord to my good Sis.

But, through it all, we still pass by each other from time to time, IF we don't actually have convos and chat. Because some of us do that too So. Look at my book baby!

Got my editor's copies of my book today! Aren't they gorgeous? (Ignore the "not for sale" line through the cover- that goes away during publication- and the shitty quality of my camera!) I'm going through the book to make final edits- it really is looking like this book about a sapphic ex-Chosen One (gotta love an unlikable lady protag) falling for her rival is going to be able to go up for y'all by the end of March.

(Also face reveal? I guess? None of y'all care about that, but I will be one of those annoying parents who poses with my kids, aka my characters.)

Titans Kory: The absolute love of my life, mother to many, hero to all, the kindest, toughest, hottest, funniest, baddest bitch in the galaxy. The second I laid eyes on her I knew I would throw hands for her any day of the week.

Arcane Ekko: I don’t talk about this sweet kid nearly enough (I’m always way too busy simping for Mel, lol). He’s such a badass, but what’s more, he uplifts and cares for the people who need it the most. Ekko for president!

Stranger Things Lucas: My son. I loved him from the jump but when he showed up for Halloween in a Venkman costume and stunted on Mike I knew he deserved the whole world and more. I want only the best things for him.

Gen V Marie: Her style, her kind heart, her awesome, gross powers, she’s so elite. She could be a villain and absolutely thrive at it, but she chooses goodness. I know I just met her but I’m already a fan for life.

Glee Mercedes: the show never fucking appreciated her, but I did. The most talented, the kindest friend, and way more than the sassy Black girl in my opinion, even if that’s all the show wanted her to be at times.

Flanaverse (is that what it’s called?) Dani: I can’t believe I haven’t talked about Dani here. But I adore her. She’s unbelievably complex, competent and brave. She deserved a happy ending dammit 😭

The Flash Iris: Of course I must talk about Iris, she’s the reason I came back to this hellsite after Sleepy Hollow blew up in my face. The Flash did her dirty countless times but I never stopped rooting for the best and prettiest reporter in Central City.

The Leftovers Nora: I love Nora so freaking much, unequivocally wounded and fucked up but always striving to grasp the last bits of normalcy available to her (in admittedly not always the healthiest ways) she may seem like an unstable powder keg but she’s way stronger than she ever gave herself credit for.

Bojack Horseman Todd: this hilarious goober is the most important and notable ace rep to hit the airwaves, but through his confusing and sometimes heartbreaking journey he never stopped being just a little guy.

Being Human Aidan: I did not like him at first, I was all about Josh and Sally and found Aidan comparatively boring, but man did this fucking dude grow on me. We’ve all seen the repentant vampire before but he was such a unique brand of failking slash lowkey dork about it that I couldn’t help falling in love with him.

i’ve only had her for like three weeks, give or take, but if anything bad happened to her, i’d kill everyone in this room and then myself.

2. RORONOA ZORO — OPLA

i didn’t watch the anime, but i LOVED this live action adaptation. i loved every character in this show, and it was down to him and nami, but ultimately i went with zoro bc i just admire him so much (…also he’s really hot)

3. ANNABETH CHASE — RIORDANVERSE

i’ve been a die hard percy jackson fan for over a decade now and annabeth has always been one of my favorite characters of the entire riordanverse, if not my all-time favorite character. leah sava jeffries is gonna do SUCH an amazing job as annabeth, i already know, and i can’t wait to watch her be amazing, she’s such a star!

4. QUINN FABRAY — GLEE

quinn, one of my problematic faves, you were done so dirty by the writers of this show but you will always be loved by me!

5. YOR FORGER — SPY X FAMILY

first of all, THIS SHOW IS AMAZING! second of all, there has never been a time where i did not wish i was living the life of yor forger.

6. PEETA MELLARK — THE HUNGER GAMES

when i say i hate all men, NEVER am i ever talking about this man right here. he is the only man ever as far as i am concerned.

7. AMY SOSA — SUPERSTORE

i’ve been rewatching superstore lately so i guess it was just on my mind, but amy truly is one of my favorite sitcom leading ladies, and it helps that america ferrera is so funny and so great in this role!

8. ANNE SHIRLEY-CUTHBERT — ANNE WITH AN E

i remember when this show first came out, i had some doubts about it since i really loved the megan follows adaptation. but amybeth really sold me on this adaptation! i think she really embodies everything there is to love about anne and has now become my favorite anne!

9. HALEY JAMES-SCOTT — ONE TREE HILL

ah one tree hill, one of my favorite guilty pleasure teen dramas. it was between her and peyton for my favorite character, but in the end i went with haley, who had won me over from her very first scene.

10. KATARA — AVATAR: THE LAST AIRBENDER

katara is just a badass, plain and simple. one of the most powerful benders in the atla universe, and THE most powerful waterbender in the universe, idc what anyone says.

again, this was so fun!! i’ve never really done a tag game before, but i think this is the part where i tag some more people.
