My thoughts on
The Midnight Club (2022)
Tumblr media
I just finished watching The Midnight Club last night and couldn't help feel how it was like a beautiful work of art left unfinished. When I started the show, I was really impressed by the way the foundation was laid but several things were left unexplained but we'll get there later.
First off, let's talk about the true essence of the show; the stories. While I absolutely loved the way the characters expressed their unconscious/concious desires through the stories knowing that they wouldn't come true, that the future they paint will continue to remain trapped behind words, I couldn't help but feel that we could've been introduced to this world in a better way.
By the time we learn about Natsuki's story regarding the Japanese myth, it's already progressed into a "frenzy of jump scares" which completely ruined the atmosphere for me and I found myself wanting it to be over as soon as possible.
The next thing I wish to address is Ilonka's character. She is a complex teen who is unable to accept the terminal nature of her life and that she cannot be saved. Initially, I liked her drive to survive but as the episodes carry on, we see her completely lose herself in the desperate attempt to grasp what's left of her life. Her character itself had multiple flaws which were further enhanced by the fact that so many things about her were left unexplained.
Why was Ilonka having visions?
Tumblr media
Was it because of her medication? Maybe. But it could also, be due to her being most open to the spiritual aspect of the place. She openly sought to achieve wellness through the nature and was engrossed by the past which might've manifested in the form of visions. Maybe her sharing these thoughts with Kevin was the reason for his own visions.
Another aspect of the show I really wanted to see were the stories coming together in the end (as we had in the haunting series) but was really underwhelmed. There were too many plot holes which raised a lot of questions.
Who is Dr. Georgina Stanton?
Tumblr media
In the final episode, her ties to the Paragon are hinted at. I personally found myself drawing ties between her and Regina Ballard (Aceso). Regina, upon performing the ritual had lost her hair which kinda made me think if Stanton had also tried to do the same for her son (resulting in the loss of her hair, being the only survivor).
Who are the old ghosts?
Tumblr media
This really got me scratching my head finding answers. Maybe they're yet again manifestations of the negative emotions arising in the kids but I'm not sure. Also, how is Kevin connected to the old woman and why does Ilonka keep seeing her where Kevin is?
All these are left unanswered which really irks the viewers to know more.
(I have not read the books and all my interpretations are solely based on the show)

Epitome of Love
Pairing: Jason Carver x female!Reader
Pronouns: She/Her
Pov's: First Person and Third Person
Fandom: Stranger Things
Warnings: Some foul language, name calling, mentions of saliva, mentions of death, descriptions of death, mentions of anxiety
Summary: You would assume that Jason Carver is a terrible human being but when he's around his girl, he's nothing was kind, loving, and sweet. This fluffy fanfic shows nothing but love and the joys of love at first sight.
A/N: This is seriously one of the best fanfics I've written so far! I've rewritten Jason in a new light of what I believe he is like as a boyfriend. I've seen little Eddie x reader Fics of him being a terrible boyfriend, but I don't see him like that at all. It's cute, it's heart stopping, is fluffy, it's sweet! And I think you guys will enjoy reading it as I enjoyed writing it! And yes, if you requested any Heartstopper Fics, those WILL be coming out soon! I just thought I should take a break from them, so I don't get bored. Thanks for all of your patience, and I love you guys so, so much! I do hope you love this fic!!
Tumblr media
A lot of people thought Jason Carver was an asshole.
And he was.
He was a huge asshole, a dickhead, a piece of shit, and there were more words to describe him.
But to Y/N L/N, those words didn’t matter. To Y/N L/N , Jason Carver was nothing of the sort.
It all started in their freshmen year. Y/N had been doing some routines for cheer, and the basketball team had their first meet of the year. The cheer captains at the time, Victoria Remendes and Lisa Zylowski repeatedly told the squad to pay no attention to the boys as they threw balls into hoops. Needless to say, before Chrissy Cunningham and Y/N L/N were cheer captains, they were completely disobedient.
They made sure to pay all of their attention on the boys as they dunked, shot, ran, yelled, etc. And to the girls, that seemed more fun than practicing toe touches and spread eagles.
But while everyone was focusing on Steve Harrington and his amazing hair, Y/N was focused on a short blonde-haired boy trying to motivate his team. He ran a hand through his hair as he looked away from the boys and into her direction.
That boy was who she would soon find out to be Jason Carver.
Time had stopped. In that split second of a moment, it was just them. He stood still. Not an inch of him was moving at all. The only thing that seemed important in his mind at that time, was her.
“Carver! CARVER!!” Time began again as the coach yelled at him. Not wanting to, he dragged his eyes off of her and onto the coach, who looked displeased. “What are you doing!? The ball was coming right for you, and you completely ignored it! 3 laps around the court! Now!!” The coach ordered rudely. Jason nodded and looked at her again. Y/N watched him as he ran his laps. Whenever he’d be facing her, he’d continue to stare.
It wasn’t until after practice was over, he’d stand outside and wait for her to come out.
In that moment, if love at first sight had ever existed, it existed between them. And from that moment, you would have never seen anyone more in love then them.
Time went on and through the remaining 4 years, they became the schools power couple. Homecoming King and Queen every year, a shared kiss in front of the crowd every time the basketball team won a game, lending her his letterman jacket, teaching him how to do flips. It was perfect.
That’s until Senior year came, at least. And even then, it was still sentimental.

Jason stopped the car once we were in our normal parking space. Chance, Andy, and Patrick were standing by Chance’s car, in which Andy was leaning on. They were waiting on us before entering the gymnasium to get ready for the pep rally before the championship game.
I turned to Jason for a moment, giving him an encouraging smile. On the way here, he was telling me that he was kind of nervous for his speech. Every time we had made it to the championships, Steve Harrington would make the speeches. He would motivate the crowd. This made Jason worried that he wouldn’t be motivating enough.
Jason gave a sheepish smile my way before he opened up his door. I followed and opened up mine.
“Hey Y/N.” Patrick and Chance greeted in sync. I smiled kindly at them.
“Hey boys! You guys excited?” I asked, opening up the backseat door and grabbing my stuff. Andy let out a nervous chuckle.
“Excited, but also anxious.” Andy confirmed. He crossed his arms. “And how about you Miss. L/N. Are you excited?” He asked in return. I shut the door, walking over to them.
“Oh, I am really excited! I just have to get my freshmen girls a little pumped. It’s their first championship game, after all.” I reminded them. Jason, who was listening in on our conversation, slammed the car door shut behind him, putting his bag across a shoulder.
“Oh yeah, we have a few Freshmen that we need to pump up as well. One of them is a benchwarmer though, so it can’t be that hard.” Jason cut in, standing beside me and wrapping an arm around my waist lightly.
Chance laughed. “Yeah! With that speech that you have to give all of Hawkins High, it’s gonna be enough to get everyone all riled up!” He exclaimed, punching Jason lightly in the shoulder. Jason let out an amused breath, his arm tightening a grip on me.
“I sure hope so! It’s gonna be a good one!” Jason began walking with me up to the entrance, our counselor up there guiding everyone to go through the Auditorium doors. Because we were on the teams and were going to be apart of the pep rally, we had to enter through the locker room doors.
There was only excitement between the 4 boys. They were buzzing with happiness the entire way there. Jason’s anxiety levels seemed to have gone down and were replaced with confidence. By the time we had gotten to the doors, he was nothing but smiles.
“Alrighty babe. This is where we part. I’ll see you in there.” Jason gave my lips a peck before he and the boys walked into the locker room. My waist felt naked without his arm there, but I turned around and walked through the girl's locker room doors.
In there were my cheerleaders. The Freshmen girls, and some of the Sophomore ones, were bouncing their legs in anticipation while the others were chatting up a storm. Some girls were helping out other girls, while others were finishing up their suits. Chrissy, my fellow cheer captain, was talking to our coach. I walked over.
“Good morning, Coach!” I exclaimed, placing my bag down on one of the benches closer to where the coach and Chrissy were talking. Chrissy turned around to face me, a huge smile making its way onto her face at the sight of me.
“Good morning, Miss. L/N. Right on time, which is unusual.” The coach gave me a smirk, raising a brow. I scoffed.
“Oh, come on coach. I haven’t been late to a meet since early Sophomore year!” I replied, sitting down and beginning to tighten my shoelaces. The coach laughed, putting her checkboard under her right arm.
“I know, L/N. It’s always fun to tease you.” The Coach paused, looking around at all of the girls in the room. Chrissy sat down next to me, placing her hands in her lap. She began to fiddle with her fingers. I frowned a little bit, noticing her anxiety. “Anyways. Cunningham, L/N! I need you guys to warm up the girls a little bit! See if they remember the routine! Maybe say a few ‘Steve Harrington’ worth speeches to get them on their feet!” The Coach walked into the office across from where we were sitting. Chrissy and I looked at each other before we burst out in laughter. I tightened a bit more of my other shoe before we got up to face the girls.
“Cheerleaders!” Chrissy and I yelled at the exact same time. The buzzing stopped and everyone turned to face us. It was in that exact moment when Chrissy and I realized that we had no idea what to say. She looked at me with wide eyes and we started giggling nervously. We waited for the other to start, but neither one of us did. I took the lead.
“It’s been a busy year for all of us! First, we had tryouts, then Football games, meets, competitions, we’ve had to attend golf games; for some really weird reason.” This made the girls laugh. I smiled. “But now! We have the championship game, and it’s our job to get out there and warm up our school so that those boys who have worked extremely hard to get to this point, can get out there and show Hawkins who’s boss! But remember that we have worked as hard as them! We’ve practiced routines day and night! We’ve won Gold 5 times this year through competitions! We had to make it to every game this year just to do flips and chant cheers! This pep rally isn’t only for their achievements, but for ours too! This pep rally isn’t only because the basketball boys made it to the championship, but because we as a whole made it to the championship! Without us wonderful ladies being there to cheer our school on! To wear our school with pride, we wouldn’t be here.” The girls clapped for me. Some cheered. I turned around to face Chrissy, who gave me a thumbs up. I cleared my throat.
“I’d also like to thank the marching band! I see some of those girls here with us right now. Hi girls!” They waved to me. I laughed nervously. “Thank you, guys, for playing music to keep the crowd in an upbeat mood! You guys are seriously great, and I love each and every one of you! But I’d also like to thank my girls. You guys have come so, so far this year and I’m so proud to be here right now and to have been your captain for these last 2 years. You guys all have so much optimism and confidence within you and being able to cheer next to you guys just makes me super emotional. I love you guys so much. You’re my family.” I paused another time, holding back some tears. Awe’s and “I love you’s” made their way through the crowd. I took a breath and smiled wider. “Now, let’s go out there, and show Hawkins who runs this show!” I yelled. The girls cheered excitedly, and we all exchanged hugs and last-minute things before exiting the locker room and in file, making our way to the Auditorium doors. The boys were already there, waiting for us to go in first to perform.
Jason was in the front of them. He turned to me and smiled brightly. I walked to him. He held his hands out for me to take. They were warm.
“Good luck out there, baby. I love you.” He said, giving my lips another peck. I giggled.
“You too. I’ll see you when it’s done. I love you.” I let go of his hands and Chrissy and I walked into the Auditorium together, leading the girls one by one.

~~~
Jason’s speech was amazing. That was the most excited I had seen Hawkins in a long time. But my favorite part was when he looked right in my eyes and said, “Y/N, I love you babe.” I just blew a kiss his way. The girls all surrounded me, squealing excitedly. Chance, Andy, and Patrick were all looking at me and pointing to him, making kissy faces and mocking movements. The students from the school who did notice, laughed or chuckled from their silliness.
And to my word, I did see Jason after the rally. He lifted me up and spun me around, complimenting me and kissing all over my face. I laughed and just kissed him softly. Not like one of those quick pecks that we shared before, but a true and honest kiss. My heart had never fluttered even more.
It’s as if every time that I had looked into Jason’s brilliant blue eyes, I had fallen deeper into the rabbit hole called love. He put me down and kissed me again, drunk from how my mouth felt against his. This one lasted longer. It was more passionate. He pulled away to take a breath. My arms stayed around his neck while his hung loosely around my waist.
“We should skip 2nd period and just stay here...” He mumbled, looking down at me with admiration, adoration, and love. I chuckled, amused.
“And skip Mr. Hauser’s AP Lit class? No way.” I disagreed. Jason took a breath, tightening his grip around my waist.
“Oh, come on. I thought you hated that class.” Jason noted from memory of all those times I complained about the course. I pursed my lips, dragging myself closer to him.
“Because if I even miss one lesson, I’ll get an F in the class because I’ll have no idea what’s going on.” I claimed. Jason scoffed.
“You have all spring break to catch up. Come on, just this once? For me?” Jason gave me puppy eyes, putting out his bottom lip, and pouting. He tilted his head, blinking slowly. I laughed, leaning my face closer to his.
“No, Jase. It’s final. I can’t skip this period.” I declared. Jason tsk’d away his pouty face and replaced it with a smile.
“Okay fine. You don’t have to skip this period. But you owe me!” He pointed out. I smiled, my lips centimeters away from his.
“I owe you with what?” I asked, my lips grazing against his as I talked. He leaned in a little bit more.
“With your time.” He placed his lips on mine, dragging my body closer to his so that way every part of us was touching. Chest to chest. Hip to hip. Feet to feet. And lastly, lip to lip. He tried pulling my body closer, as if we weren’t already close enough. The kiss between us full of love and intimacy. We didn’t want to stop. We wanted it to just be us, standing here forever. Nobody else but us in the world. No classes, no assignments, no people, no work, no lectures, no games, no nothing but us.
We pulled away slowly, a very small string of saliva connecting us. I hadn’t realized how heated that kiss had gotten. I wiped the saliva off my lip and Jason just stared at me. I stared back. He took a breath and smiled.
“Alrighty, since you’re not skipping…” He began to shuffle off the letterman that he had put on earlier, handing it to me. “Just so that you have a piece of me with you in Hauser’s.” He winked at me and I gently took his letterman, rubbing my thumbs softly against the fabric before putting it on. There was a softness in his eyes. He put his hands on my waist.
“Oh, I love it when I see you wearing this…” He mumbled, looking up and down my body, taking in how I looked in it. It’s as if this were my last time seeing him. He looked up at my face, taking in a sharp inhale. He placed a hand on my cheek to cup it. “You look beautiful, babe...” He complimented. He pulled me in for a hug. I laid my head on his chest, closing my eyes. His heartbeat fast, his breathing was irregular. It was always like that when he was with me.
I pulled away first, smiling up at him through my lashes. “I love you.” I announced softly. He kissed my forehead.
“I love you so, so much more…”
I walked to O’Donnell's class, my heart beating out of my chest. I felt giddy and I couldn’t help but smile as I walked throughout the school. I almost felt like skipping.
No matter how many times I had seen my girlfriend through a day, I could never help but feel all warm and full of excitement. She was my heart and soul. My heart beat for her and only for her.
I waved at Principal Higgins as he walked by, something I never would have don’t know a regular basis. Everyone in this school HATED his ass, but I was in too good of a mood to be bothered by it.
I walked into O’Donnell's, and the bell rang as soon as I got in there. She sighed, marking the board to show that I was present.
“Almost late again, Mr. Carver.” She revealed in an annoyed tone. I smiled politely at her.
“I’m sorry ma’am. I was talking to my girlfriend for a second.” I explained. She stared at me, not surprised.
“It was longer than a second, dude.” My friend Cooper spoke in a teasing tone. I held back a laugh, letting out an amused breath.
“Just sit down, Mr. Carver.” O’Donnell spoke monotonous. I shot finger guns at her, taking my spot across from Eddie Munson, the school freak.
Now you see, I didn’t have much of a problem with Eddie...
That’s a lie. I did. He played a game that involved satanism and cultism, and he acted crazy. He also had a massive crush on Y/N during our Junior year, which I wasn’t too happy to hear about. Eddie and I didn’t share many conversions, nor had I wanted to have them with him. But other than that, he wasn’t really much of a bother to me.
In the middle of class, Eddie had fallen asleep. I would have fallen asleep too because O’Donnell’s natural monotone voice could do that, but I needed to pass the final exam to graduate... so I would rather have not missed out.
I guess Y/N was right about not skipping class, though, I really wanted us to. It would have meant I wouldn’t have had to sit next to Eddie and would have been able to spend time with someone I loved and enjoyed.
It felt like ages until the bell rang, and I immediately got up and grabbed my stuff, heading immediately to my locker, which was across the school.
Y/N was already there with Chance because they had shared the AP Lit class together. I smiled brightly, my heart beginning to pump harder against my chest. I pulled her in for a peck on the lips.
“Damn Ms. O’Donnell can talk! No wonder her husband divorced her!” I stated, keeping an arm around her while I began to do my locker combination. She lightly tapped my chest.
“That’s rude, Jason.” She commented. I scoffed in amusement, opening my locker and putting my stuff in there.
“It’s true, though!” I excused. She looked over to Chance so she could get back up. Chance just put his hands up in defense.
“Aye don’t include me in this! I’m just a bystander!" He defended. Y/N laughed. Oh, how I loved her laugh. It was as if the angels were blessing my ears every time she let out one of those joyous sounds.
Her light tugs on my shirt had dragged my attention back to reality. “Come on Jase! The rest of the boys and my cheer squad are waiting for us!” She insisted stubbornly. I slammed my locker shut, not even bothering to reset my combination, before I wrapped my arm tighter around her and walked towards the lunchroom.
“Oh! Here’s your letterman back! I don’t trust myself wearing it at lunch just in case Lorelai Marksman decides to host a food fight at our lunch table again.” She joked. I smiled and took back my jacket, putting it on. It made me sad to see her not wearing it anymore, but it made me happier when I got a whiff of her perfume on my jacket.
“I swear to gosh I need a girlfriend!” Chance complained as we entered the cafeteria doors. I laughed, shaking my head.
“I could introduce you to Stephanie Walters. She’s one of my cheerleaders. I’m sure she’d love to go out with you or get to know you!” Y/N offered kindly. Chance’s face brightened.
“You’d do that for me? You’re seriously the best!” He complimented. I bit my lip. I felt a little jealous of Chance’s comment, but I knew he meant nothing of it. I slid it away and replaced it with a happy thought. The thought that Y/N was kind enough to offer Chance to get to know one of her friends. That takes some serious trust.
We walked to the lunch table. The cheer squads table was right next to ours, but they had pushed it closer to our table so that they could talk to us easier. Y/N sat at the girls table for a few moments, chatting with them and talking to Chrissy Cunningham. She was laughing and having fun. I couldn’t help but admire her.
How her eyes sparkled when she smiled or laughed, how her plump lips would curve up, how her hair laid softly against her shoulders, how her face would gently lay back into a neutral state, how she’d listen intently when one of her teammates was talking to her, how her soft breathing made her chest go up and down, how her fingers would play with each other. I loved everything about this girl. I was crazy for her. She was literally the definition of perfect. She was mine.
“Jason! Jason!!” Andy shook me hard enough to get me out of my daze.
“Huh?” I asked, concerned. Andy pointed a finger to Eddie Munson, who was now standing on top of his lunch table.
“Eddie’s at it again.” He warned me. I rolled my eyes in disbelief. How many times would this guy do this before he graduated? If he graduated, that is.
“Or a game where you TOSS BALLS INTO LAUNDRY BASKETS!!” Eddie yelled at us. All my happy thoughts of Y/N went away as I stood up.
“You want something, freak?” I called out. I stared at him intensely. Anger intensifying within me. What did this guy want? Eddie gave me the devil horns and stuck out his tongue.
Y/N called out my name. “Jason!” I looked over to her, my expression softening. “He’s just trying to get you riled up. And don’t call him that!” She demanded. I took a breath, dragging my vision away from her and putting it back on Eddie.
Eddie smirked at me, sharing glances between Y/N and I. Him staring at her was enough to get my blood boiling. He put his hands down. I turned away from him. “Prick…” I muttered under my breath. Y/N grabbed my hand before I sat down. She grabbed her chair and dragged it to where I was sitting, sitting across from me.
“Are you alright?” She asked, staring with those caring eyes that almost made my heart hop out of my body. I nodded, running my free hand through my hair.
“Yeah, I’m… I’m alright,” I stared at Eddie, pointing a finger at him. “It’s just that that guy gets me so angry. It’s just something about him.” I explained, frustrated. Y/N just nodded, understanding what I meant.
“Yeah. I get it. But that’s really no reason to call him a freak.” I was about to speak but she put a finger to my mouth. I closed my mouth, letting her speak. “I’ve talked to Eddie and he’s actually really nice. He’s not satanic or creepy. He’s normal just like you and me.” She told me. I took a breath, swallowing my disagreements.
“Like I said before, it’s whatever. I have my girl,” I moved her chair, so it was directly next to mine, and I wrapped an arm around her tightly. “I have my team. We’re gonna win this championship game! And we’re gonna take our trophy.” The boys cheered in agreement. Y/N joined them. I stared at her with more love in my eyes than ever before. Where did I deserve her?
~~~
A lot had happened this week. After we had won the championship game and I had headed over to Benny’s with the basketball team, the cops had shown up the next morning to ask me questions about Chrissy. She had been found dead at Eddie Munson’s house.
I was heartbroken. Why would Eddie have done such a thing? My heart hurt. It shattered into a thousand pieces. I was angry. I couldn’t have believed that I had defended him! I talked to him! I was nice to him! Chrissy was too! She couldn’t hurt a soul! But he hurt hers! He killed my best friend!
Jason promised me that we would find Eddie and get our answers. We looked for Eddie for days and when we had found him, that’s when Patrick had died.
Jason and Patrick were swimming up to Eddie, who was in a boat, and Jason had seen Patrick lift up into the air, and he saw all of his limb's break, his jaw break, and his eyes pop into the back of his head, before he plopped back down into the water.
We were convinced that Eddie was apart of some satanic cult. That he was using some creepy satanic magic. That’s until I took it into my own hands and decided to find Eddie myself. Jason came with me.
We found him in his trailer with Robin Buckley, Dustin Henderson, Max Mayfield, and the traitor, Lucas Sinclair. Jason went to attack him, but Lucas and Dustin held him off. Yelling and screaming was heard between Jason and the boys trying to defend their friend. I just stood there, staring at Eddie. Fear, anger, and sadness in my eyes. He had the same look.
“I didn’t kill them…” He mumbled. That’s when I broke down. Jason immediately stopped fighting against them, and went to my aide, holding me. I looked up, and that’s when a saw it.
I saw a huge hole in the ceiling, showing Steve Harrington shaking Nancy Wheeler. They were upside down. I screamed. Jason, concerned and fearful, held me tighter, asking me what was wrong. I just pointed up and hit my face into his chest, screaming and crying.
Jason looked up. At first, he was just shocked, but after a while he screamed as well. It took Dustin a long time, but he slowly calmed us down.
“I’m about to tell you something that you might not believe. But first, I need to get them out.” He told us. Jason looked at Eddie and then to me, cradled in his arms. He nodded.
Dustin told us everything. About what happened to Will Byers in 1983. Barbara Holland. Billy Hargrove. Heather. Starcourt. He told us about Vecna and what happened to our friends. He told us everything. And the more he told, the more Jason called bullshit. I, on the other hand, believed it. I mean.. a PORTAL was right before our eyes!
No longer was Eddie our enemy, but he felt like an alliance. I felt bad for being so angry at him. I felt sad that he ended up in a situation like this. A scared guy, in a scary situation. I would have hated being him. But I also felt at peace because I got the closure I needed. I no longer felt guilty.
After that, we swore never to tell anyone. And we left. That was it. We just left. If this Vecna thing was as bad as it seemed, we didn’t want to die without spending our last moments together.
So we went back to my house and just laid there. Contemplating what just happened. No words were exchanged other than a few mumbles and sweet nothings whispered in between us. My mind thought of Chrissy and how she died in a terrible way. How I never got to say goodbye to her or Patrick.
After that day, I never saw Eddie again.
But there was a mutual understanding between Jason, their group, and I, that Eddie had died heroically. He had died saving the world.
And then as if it couldn’t have come sooner, graduation came. Jason and I held hands as we sat next to each other in the audience of Seniors. My cheer squad up in the stands screaming and yelling as I got called up to get my Diploma. Jason’s family yelling for me too.
Jason hugged me tightly as I went back, kissing my hair and rubbing his thumb down my back. His heart was still beating fast. I guess thats how I knew he’d always love me.
At the end of the ceremony, there was a silence. Higgins spoke of Chrissy, Patrick, and Eddie. He spoke of a kid named Fred. I couldn’t help but let a few tears down my cheeks as Higgins gave his speech. I thought of the last few moments I had with Chrissy. My last "I love you" to her. My last laugh with Patrick. How Fred was an amazing journalist. I thought of Eddie and the sad scenario he had been in. I remember how he had made school more tolerable and interesting. I also thought of Billy, Heather, and Barb. We had lost so many people through the years. So many good, and amazing people.
Jason noticed my tears and wiped them away softly. “They’re in a better place. We’ll see them again in heaven.” He reminded me softly. Jason had a way with his words. I smiled kindly. It made my heart leap a little at the thought of seeing Chrissy again. Of laughing with Patrick again. Holding them so tight that I'd never let go.
But right now, with Jason’s arm wrapped around my waist. Standing next to my class. My friends. My found family. The love of my life. I could have never asked for anything better.
Instead of throwing our caps up, Jason and I exchanged each other’s, and kissed while caps came raining down over us.
Jason was an asshole. He was a dickhead. But I loved him. And he loved me. He was my dickhead.

Lovecraft’s At the Mountains of Madness, filmmaker Guillermo Del Toro (Pan’s Labyrinth) also dreamed of making an adaptation of Carlo Collodi’s book, Pinocchio.

Tumblr media
As Iñaki and y/n wandered through the bustling streets of Tokyo, they stumbled upon an arcade filled with flashing lights and the sounds of arcade games. Iñaki's eyes lit up as he spotted a giant prize cabinet filled with plushies and other fun prizes. There were giant stuffed animals, plushie keychains, and even a collection of Hello Kitty plushies. Iñaki's face lit up as he pointed to a giant Hello Kitty plushie in the center of the cabinet. "I'm going to win that one for you," he said, determination in his voice. Y/n laughed and shook her head. "You don't have to do that." But Iñaki was determined to make it happen. He spent the next hour trying to win the prize, but he kept coming up just short. He was close on a few occasions, but the claw machine just didn't seem to be in his favor. Finally, just as Iñaki was about to give up, y/n walked over and placed a hand on his shoulder. "It's okay, you don't have to keep trying," she said. But Iñaki shook his head. "I'm not quitting until I get it for you," he said with a toothy smile. He gave it one final shot and, this time, the claw machine came through. Iñaki won the giant Hello Kitty plushie and proudly presented it to y/n. Y/n was overjoyed and gave Inaki a hug. "Thank you so much, honey," she said. "You didn't have to do that tho." Iñaki smiled. "I couldn't let you leave Japan without a proper souvenir, Besides, I would have felt pretty guilty if you hadn't at least walked away with something." He kissed her cheek. They laughed as they wandered out of the arcade and back onto the streets of Tokyo, the Hello Kitty plushie in hand.

I am very normal about them
Tumblr media
Okay, let me talk clearly. I am just so fucking in love with these two. Because they are two very grown men. And they are both so darn complicated in their motivation and what not.
So, yeah, I am very normal about them.
Also, I had just to write that missing scene in episode 3 where Mizrak went from "fuck you" to "fuck me".
CW: A fuckton of religious guilt
