Tangentially related to some of the discussion i posted earlier but quiet literally the first RW Art Month i participated I did it completely on whim like, one day before it started. And I mostly did it because I hadn't drawn a ton of rain world and wanted to draw more. Fandom presence was a lot smaller than and I was one of a handful of artists who did the entire thing. Fast forward and I still do Art Month and I've gotten to work with VC directly. But it was quite literally something I decided to do completely on whim that set the ball rolling, and for something a lil more niche and certainly with a lot more dev/fandom art involvement than most. It's really random how and why you might get noticed more than usual, especially with the "toss it into the search and hope it pays out' mechanism of Socmed

dc is doing a little mini relaunch after the current crossover finishes and honestly thank god because literally only two of their current ongoings interest me but there's a bunch of fun looking stuff happening in november that i might actually look at. and also it's starting series for several guys who should have had ongoings this whole time like the fucking JUSTICE LEAGUE

as I said before, she is rather fast and strong. She has a certain room she uses for education. She does her best to socialize with the group, but she isn't really sure how to approach them.

She can be angry, making her hair curl and claws come out. Jax is her least favorite, as he annoys the hell out of her whenever she says something smart. (he calls her a nerd etc etc.)

I actually posted a video version of this at one point that worked as a voice reveal as well but I can’t seem to find it.

Backstory here was i was out walking my ex’s dog and found this lil guy stunned after he must have flown into the all glass siding of the building. I offered my finger for him to hop up onto and he did at which point i found a safer place to recover from a bump to the noggin than a spot where people frequently walk their dogs. (I put him in a somewhat elevated flower bed) by the time i circled back he must have felt better and flew off.

Six of Crows duology was a pretty fun read, even despite the fact I find most YA annoying. But I just couldn't stand Jesper and Wylan together! I found Wylan to be boring and apart from that I think their chemistry was a bit forced (like they are two gay characters so they should be together). I loved Kaz and Inej romance, but if I were to pair Jesper with anyone I think Kaz would be a pretty good fit for him (they come from a similar harsh backround and they are already pretty close, but they also give that nice opposites attract dynamic). What are your thoughts?

i was surprised how much i loved it, given that i could barely get through shadow and bone itself. soc really captured my heist-movie-loving ass tho!

and arghh, i really feel you on that jesper/wylan thingy!! i like both of the characters, but just really couldn't see them together, esp not long term. i couldn't feel the chemistry, the bickering felt flat and i just wasn't feeling the emotions at all. their lifestyles and temperaments seemed rather clashing too! i can't imagine jes actually wanting to stay out of the dopamine-kicking life and choosing a calmer set-up.

also i'm generally not a huge fan of that whole "all characters in a friend group must end up dating, preferably pairing up inside the group" thingy and was really hoping to avoid it with crows. i'm much fonder of the idea of them being a polycule, keeping some of them single or have them date people outside of the group.

as for jes, i really loved his dynamic with kaz actually and would love to see it explored in romantic-ish context! it was complicated in the best way, and i felt like the emotional load between them was both heave and genuine. they really seem to be able to bring up both the best and the worst in each other, but i feel like there was always a clear level of respect and care for each other. i also think that untangling the mess between them is such an interesting thing to explore, given their vastly different coping mechanisms!

i've recently started reading a lot more than i have been for the past few years which is nice but i'm currently only finishing like 1 in 4 of the books i start, not because of lack of time or anything, just because it turns out i really dislike a lot of books. hmm :/
