Just reread the Perilous Wilds by Lampblack & Brimstone and I'm so goddamn mad that I want to run a fantasy adventure game right now. I'm working on three sci-fi games at the moment, and I'm running courtly intrigue, industrial heists, and military fantasy. And of course my stupid fucking think bacon is all like, "but we could do a sweeping fantasy game with overland travel and point crawls, maybe?"
Yeah, like next year. First we gotta clean our plate.
"Think of all the cool animals and factions and unplumbed mysteries deep in the forgotten ruins and strange magic in the bones of the earth just waiting to be--"
Hey, think of all of the shit we're *supposed* to be doing.
there was something really jim henson-esque and campy about how some of the non-human races were portrayed in the new dnd movie that i really enjoyed. they could’ve easily gone the shitty cgi route or just not shown those races up close at all, but no, they said you want a bird man? we’re gonna get you a bird man
Hey if Hazel, Dev, and the gang play DnD, what do you think they would play as.... and how who would be the fortunate(or unfortunate) DM?
When I was 10, my older brother would play massive D&D campaigns in the living room. He tried teaching me the mechanics but it was too much and too boring for my small brain. Instead, I was far more fascinated with things like Warrior Cats.
Apparently Warrior Cats has a d&d game though. So. The kids would all play that instead!
Dev would eventually be roped into joining. Mainly because when you're sitting with a table of kids doing storytelling, you end up getting very invested, and very frustrated when they make the very wrong choices!!!
