WOL and Y’shtola mini-scenario immediate post reunion in shadowbringers under the cut. 

[Context: between markers during quest “a day in the neighbour hood”. While Y’shtola has a good feeling as to why she couldnt recognize Arsay, its clear Arsay is completely unaware of what is happening to her. Fully misinterpreting the events as familiar feelings of abandonment take over, Arsay snaps at Y’shtola at the first opportunity and hastily exists the cave in a huff.]

Y’shtola: To think I’d find the “Warrior of Darkness” sulking, of all things, when there’s a whole new village full of other people's problems you can stick your nose into. Is this how you have changed? I can’t say its very becoming of you.

Arsay: ... 

Y’shtola: ... <sigh>  

Y’shtola: Did that rude welcome of mine offend you so? Surely by now you are no stranger to having a mass of weapons pointed towards you. 

Arsay: ... 

Y’shtola: You have to understand, it’s your aether. It...  after three long years on the first I’ve learned to equate aether such as yours to that of an imminent threat. These people have already lost so much, I can’t afford to take chances with their safety.

Y’shtola: Had I arrived to the scene a moment earlier, heard your voice first, perhaps then- 

Arsay: I’m not mad at you.

Arsay: I... I’m upset with myself. To think myself so important to you that you could recognize me at a glance. That you would not forget me after being apart for a time. I believed because I care so much for you... perhaps you would do the same in turn. A childish folly I thought I’d never repeat. 

Arsay: You’re my best friend Y- Matoya. Your words sting like adder bites and you can read through tomes faster than I can take down a primal. When we part on separate adventures, there are moments where I want nothing more than to see you again. I know you can’t see me the way I see you, it’s unfair of me to expect that of you; yet, to know I am nothing more than an indistinguishable pool of aether in your eyes... Pray, tell me. Do I mean so little in your life as to not be remembered? Did you not think of me at all, even a bit? 

Y’shtola: <scoffs> Don’t be so daft, of course you’ve crossed my mind. When I first arrived to this reflection I thought to myself how worried you must be. That you were probably putting all other duties on hold to instead watch my bedside, as you before did in Rhalgr's Reach. 

Y’shtola: Time moved on here. I got embroiled in the mysteries of the First. I couldn’t very well squander this opportunity in front of me by spending all my energy thinking about if or when I’d ever get to see you again. You know better than most I’m not one to dwell on such things... Perhaps the picture I had of you in my mind faded somewhat along the way but it was not due to lack of caring. It’s the opposite, really. Were I more indifferent, recalling our moments together might have caused me far less grief.

Y’shtola: Suffice is to say, you are important to me too, Arsay. Not only as a fellow scion, but as a dear friend. I couldn’t forget you. Not in any way that matters. You need not jump to such nonsensical insecurities.  

Arsay: ... 

Y’shtola: Now, does that clear things up; or will you force my hand into professing even more superfluous information regarding how I feel.  

Arsay: No, that’s... that was enough. Forgive this outburst of mine, I don’t know what came over m-

Y’shtola: Think nothing of it. I only hope you return to your old self.  

Arsay: Thank you.

daddy's home (2) - izuku x reader

As you continue to hear his footsteps approach, the dreadful sound amplified by genuine fear of your partner, you think wistfully of the past. 

Clearly, it hadn’t always been like this. Izuku, at his core, was someone sweet - bashful, kind, protective… not whatever monster was marching through your home this very second, causing your mind to race as you thought frantically of ways to protect your daughter. That was your first priority.

But he wouldn’t hurt his daughter, right? That’s where he would draw the line, no matter how altered his thoughts concerning allies versus enemies had become over time. And even if now you had drawn a clear line in the sand, you’d like to think that he wouldn’t hurt you - he hadn’t ever threatened to hurt you, now had he? He’d only given you warnings, reminding you that turning against him wouldn’t be in your best interest. After all, according to him, he’s the only one who really cares for your well-being. That’s why he married you, right?

“I... I think all of this is excessive,” you mumble to Mei as she demonstrates the security upgrades to your home. Iida shakes his head almost furiously, and seems to double and triple-check his wife’s work and potential blind spots, peering at new cameras shoved in the corners where the ceilings meet and laser tripwires invisible to the naked eye. There’s a panic device in the hallway between the kitchen and one of the living rooms hidden behind a wedding picture where both of your smiles are radiant enough to be blinding. The fact that it’s come to this makes your stomach turn. 

“In all honesty, there’s a good chance it might not be enough,” Mei admits, and the fact that for once she realistically communicates her own engineering limitations underlines how grave the situation is. If even she is admitting that she’s not infallible, that means your situation is bad.

What is he, God? You think bitterly, but resign yourself to saying nothing. You are not too distraught to accept kindness from your friends.

Bakugou, for example, now texts you every morning, a simple two words.

You good?

While you understand and appreciate where he’s coming from, every time you see those words, you can feel yourself losing your patience. If you could have your husband back, you’d be great. Fantastic even! You’d always texted back the same thing, in different variations - 

Yeah, thanks for checking!

He never responded after that. It wasn’t that he didn’t care; it’s that he still did not want to entertain the idea that his friend had gone off the deep end for too long. 

It’s hard for everyone, not just your family, you have to remember.

You can hear Izuku’s steps almost right outside your door, the pace almost synchronous with the pounding in your heart. There’s no use in hiding anymore. Steeling your resolve, you hold your slumbering daughter close for a moment, and kiss her forehead.

“Mommy loves you,” you whisper. She doesn’t stir, and you wonder what it is to be a child again, safe and naive and uncorrupted by circumstance.

And then you tumble out of the room to face him.

He stands at the end of the hall facing you; you stand, fists balled tightly by your sides and your expression unnecessarily fierce - it’s thought that fear and anger often are mistaken for each other, and Izuku seems to think so today as well.

He tilts his head slightly, and his voice is slightly raspy, deeper than usual, as he calls out to you. There’s a strained quality to it, as though his voice has been unused for a while, even though the two of you did technically just speak, or maybe he’s forgotten how to speak to you softly, how to speak to anyone with kindness.

But he tries.

“Are you mad at me, love?”

There’s a little bit of electricity in the air that you can feel in the strands of your hair that you know emanates from him. Energy that he hasn’t kept inside now that he has no reason to show any restraint. His eyes aren’t glowing however; if anything, they’re devoid of any light, dull like a lifeless forest in the dead of night. You wonder if, haggard as he appears now even if he is always and forever handsome, has come out of the wilderness. Where does he stay when he’s not here? Where is he physically when mentally he is lost?

You can’t get words out of your throat no matter how hard you try to answer him. He breathes from his nose, a sigh, and in the blink of an eye, he’s crossed the distance between you two, and has you pressed up against the wall. Caged in, his hands pressed on either side to make it clear that you have no escape, your faces are millimeters apart. This is not the man you love who values your space and your autonomy and the idea of you, above all, freely offering yourself to him. 

This is not your Izuku.

Nevertheless, not-Izuku kisses you roughly and bites your lip sharply as his mouth disconnects from yours. It’s painful and bruising and you think you taste blood, but the salt on your tongue probably comes from the tears that fall from your eyes as you tremble. 

When you look at him through a moisture-blurred view, for a moment it seems as though his eyes shine too. 

Maybe, maybe for a moment. You blink, and they’re dull again.

“Izuku, please don’t hurt her,” is the first thing that falls from your lips. 

His facial expression turns wicked for a moment and then he laughs and it is not his laugh. It’s something tinny and sick and wrong coming from him. He kisses you again, bites even harder this time, enough that you wince, and this time you are sure your lip is bleeding. 

“Hurt? Why would I hurt my princess? How could you even ask something so silly?”

Izuku presses his forehead against yours, and his cool breath runs over your wet cheeks. His hands grip your wrists and raise them up above your head, pressing the back of your hands to the wall.

“Why would I hurt her or you when you’re so vulnerable and need to be cared for?” The way he stresses that adjective - vulnerable - turns your stomach and your whole body tenses, which he notices, tightening his grip on your wrists. 

“See, love, that’s why I had to come back. I said I would come back, didn’t I? To think I’d leave the two of you alone in such a twisted, unsafe world… what kind of man would I be if I behaved like this?”

You swallow hard, unable to look at him as you search for other points to focus on. He notices.

“Don’t you dare look away from me,” he hisses. Your eyes snap obediently away from everywhere else in the room and focus on him. There’s nothing behind his eyes. You want to scream into the endless void you stare into. What happened to him? What happened to your Deku?

“W-what do you want?”

Izuku’s eyebrows furrow, and for a moment, he looks genuinely confused, like a kid faced with a particularly difficult arithmetic problem. You stun him enough with your words that he lets go of your wrists for a moment and steps back, rubbing his chin.

It wasn’t meant to be said harshly - maybe it was your grief that hardened your voice, but he seems to retreat to somewhere deep in his chest, before shaking his head.

He smiles again, that unnatural grin that doesn’t reach his eyes. 

“I thought I was coming home. Do I need permission to see my family?” he asks in a honeyed voice. 

He leans in further, pressing a scarred, calloused hand to your cheek and stroking gently. Once upon a time, you would have leaned into his palm and kissed it, maybe even pulled him closer by the collar of his shirt so that you could kiss him. 

But all you can do is freeze, and let it pass. 

And he gets impatient. His fingers now pinch instead of caressing; it would be cute, and it was once cute, when he pulled your cheeks like this to steal a kiss, but now the downturn of his lips show that he is trying very hard not to accept the truth that you are rejecting him, or at least the ‘him’ that you see before you now.

His voice flattens.

“You really thought you’d keep me out with those silly trinkets?” he growls. The other shoe has dropped.

“Who made them?” he asks. “Who did you ask to help you keep me out of my own home?”

Izuku’s hands move quickly, now cupping your chin in his hands and pulling you to him roughly as he stands, so that you’re nearly lifted up off your feet. It’s an action that’s lacking any tenderness as though he’ll yank your head clearly off your shoulders. 

“Honey? That’s a direct question, not rhetorical,” he repeats.

You don’t utter a single word, and by now he’s beyond frustrated. He lets go of your face and you lose your balance ever so slightly, but before you fall he grabs your wrist again. You pull away reflexively and a flash of anger rises in him, and he pulls even harder, enough that you can feel the tingle of his Quirk intensify. 

“Clearly, we seem to be having trouble with intimacy, so I guess we’ll have to address that first before I ask you to communicate basic information with me.” The edge to his voice is palpable but the pain of the pressure he’s putting on your arm is almost worse and you try so hard not to cry out at the sensation of him nearly crushing your bones, knowing very well that this is the least of his rough handling of you for now but then - 

“Daddy?”

Your heart stops. Izuku lets go immediately, and you turn around with a gasp to see your little girl, a flurry of nightclothes and curly green hair, leap into his arms without the slightest bit of hesitation.

No, no, no, how… of all the times to wake up! You ignore the dead feeling in your arm to run into him and shove him as he holds your daughter and twirls her around, but he barely feels you, and you practically bounce off of him like rubber on glue. 

She barely even notices you fall flat on your ass. Rather, she lets her father give her the affection she’s been missing for months, and you can only watch in abject horror as Izuku throws her up and down in the air a couple times, then asks her if she’s been good.

“Daddy, where’d you go?” She finally asks, once she’s stopped giggling. Her cheeks are rosy and excited and her eyes are bright enough to fill his darkened ones - you clutch your bruised arm and can only watch. 

Izuku glances at you then blows a raspberry in his daughter’s neck which has her giggling again.

“Mommy gave me a timeout!” he says cheerfully, holding her close. She nuzzles herself into the security of his chest, and holds tightly.

“Time out?” she murmurs. She clutches at his shirt possessively, and Izuku gives you a look. Your stare becomes hardened - it’s a plea but it’s also a threat that he better not try a single funny thing with her because then fear will give way to desperation and he will have to be prepared to kill you instantly and-

He laughs - it’s less tinny than before, but still it sucks warmth out of the room, unbeknownst to your daughter. “Yeah when you’re bad you get time out!” he reminds her, poking her belly. She laughs again and presses her hands on his cheeks squishing them.

“You can’t be bad!” she exclaims.

Izuku glances at you again, his chuckle drier and his eyes more narrow as he adjusts his baby girl in his arms.

“Well, your mommy seems to think so,” he replies, quieter this time. Somehow, she picks up the serious turn to his voice.

Your baby girl looks at you too, disheveled on the ground and breathing a bit heavier than usual, looking wrong, like a feral creature, the sudden reversal of positions being apparent in such a short time. 

She looks into your soul for a moment and furrows her eyebrows. She is thinking - assessing the situation. Her father who she hasn’t seen in quite a while is holding her tightly, her mother sits in a heap and does nothing. It is always too dark in this house these days. She can’t see clearly, not this, not anything.

“That’s not right, Mommy,” she says, finally. 

Your heart pounds. You want to charge at him,  knowing full well all you will do is traumatize your daughter at best and get yourself killed at worst. You swallow your saliva as your throat is hot and dry.

Izuku grins at you, then pats her hair gently. He sets her down and kneels to her eye level. 

“Can you be a good girl for me, sweetie?” he asks.

She nods enthusiastically, clutching fistfuls of her dress to contain her excitement at having her dad home. The longer you watch her beam the more you feel like you want to puke up your insides. What do you do? What do you do?

“Go to your room and I’ll tuck you in in a little bit, okay?”

She nods and runs off immediately, back to the center of the home where you’re not sure how much of the structure still stands appropriately, but Izuku wouldn’t send her where it’s not safe - that’s his little girl after all - and the two of you watch as her small figure disappears.

The moment she’s out of sight, you finally spit up the vitriol that’s been bubbling inside you since that horrible display.

“Fuck you.”

You’re shaking, you are so upset. The thought that he can just barge in here, and put you in an awful situation, making you look like a bad person no matter what you do. 

Izuku’s dusky eyes narrow, and in seconds he’s dragging you to your feet and pulling you into the nearest bedroom.

“Gladly.”

It doesn’t matter how hard you kick and scream and protest. Eventually, Izuku gets tired, and throws you over his shoulder, clapping a hand over your mouth. You bite his palm and he barely reacts and instead of biting harder, you break out into muffled sobs. You don’t want to hurt him, it occurs to you. You don’t have the resolve to truly take purchase into his flesh and tear away like a beast.

He throws you onto the bed and locks the door as you bury your face into the bedsheets, continuing to muffle your tears. You’re not crying because you hate him, it’s because you love him still and the situation is so awful and confusing that it’s clear that there’s no way out. You scream and terrify your daughter, and Izuku will make you the problem. If she, by some magic, understands what’s going on, is it worth it for her to develop that same darkness behind your Izuku’s eyes right now?

Izuku snorts derisively as he watches you come undone in your own mind, as the reality sets in that there is truly no way out of this situation. You sob, and you sob and you sob, and he lets you, watching you with neutrality that is so atypical of him. You’re not the first person he’s seen cry, and even if you are the most important person to him, he’s had enough of your tears. Any tears, in fact. 

He sits at the edge of the bed until your sniffles die out, then finally runs out of patience.

“Stop it.”

You rise slowly to watch him stare at you, his own eyes red-rimmed. It’s the most emotion you’ve seen out of him since today, but you can’t understand what he’s feeling. You can barely understand your own right now. 

You sniffle and he sneers.

“Stop it right now,” he repeats, harshly this time. His lips crash into yours again and he pushes you so that you lay on your back. He tears at your clothes and your defenses, and soon you are kissing back, miserable and pathetic a creature as you are.

He whispers something about loving you and never letting you go, and you don’t have the strength to whisper back but you know it’s true. Your body misses him, misses the heat of his skin against yours and the scrape of his tongue across your nipples. It misses his fingers that tease you apart and make you fall apart, the sensation of being full of love for him and physically stretched and strained to accommodate him. It misses his teeth marking you, palms sliding across every surface.

“It h-hurts, Izuku,” you moan, sucking at his shoulder to distract from the corrupted pleasure. He groans into you as he continues to dig, deeper still when your nails dig into his back, deeper still when your legs tighten around his waist. “It h-hurts,” you murmur into his neck.

“You’ll endure for me, won’t you baby?” 

He doesn’t stop; maybe he slows, but he doesn’t stop.

The truth is you will. It’s not the only thing you’ll endure for him, you think as your head swims in desire.

“You feel better than I remember,”  he groans into your ear. “Perfectly tight, like you’ve been waiting for me this entire time to reclaim you, haven’t you?”

You sigh deeply and your back arches as you climax. It’s the only answer he needs.

“You’re mine forever, no matter what, aren’t you?” he says.

Till death do we part, you think, and you crash into full, reckless indulgence. Your husband lets out a cry; his hips stutter to a stop and he pumps you full, over and over again, and before you can catch your breath, he begins again. Faster this time.

“I love you. I will love you to pieces,” he whispers into your ear, and for the first time that day, looks at you with his own eyes, the look you remember. Your eyes well up. You’ve missed him terribly.

Your arms wrap around his neck.

“I love you, too.”

There’s catching up to do.

Bakugou has not heard from you all morning, and while he tries not to think about it, he can’t help but think about it. 

It’s only been a couple hours - he sent the message somewhere around 8 am, knowing that you’re usually up by this time. However, it’s almost 11 am and you should at least be up to take your daughter to school and yet you’ve neglected to respond. 

Not even a read receipt.

Oi, just let me know you’ve seen this message, okay? He texts finally, before shoving his phone back into his pocket. There’s quite a few other things he needs to be worrying about today, including tracking members of the second iteration of the League of Villains and figuring out what exactly happened to his friend. You are fine. You have to be, he thinks. 

His phone buzzes.

Instead of a message, it’s a video according to the banner. Bakugou hesitates, and there’s a tiny bit of dread as he opens it.

And his eyes widen in horror. 

You are wrapped up in white sheets, body facing away from the camera, but he can tell from the transparency that you’re most likely wearing nothing else. By the steady rise and fall of your chest, he can tell you’re still alive, albeit fast asleep. The camera shakes ever so slightly. 

From the audio, which he turns up he can hear a voice, Izuku’s voice.

“She’s just fine, don’t worry about us.” 

The video ends and Bakugou can feel his blood run cold as his mind begins to race. Before he can play the video again to look for clues, there’s a text message that pops up.

If you text my wife again, I’ll dash your brains on the concrete.

Let’s put Mike’s monologue in context. And I don’t mean just its place in the story (that it happened thanks to Will) but look at the big picture. Its position in the whole season about truth and lies, but not in a black/white mindset. It’s more nuanced. 

It’s a season where characters sometimes lie, omit some truth, or are mistaken about what it’s the truth. They aren’t always completely honest for different reasons.

The season starts with a misleading scene. And we (the audience) will learn the truth of what happened when El does it too, who also was mistaken. She thought that she had caused the massacre. She had buried her memory thanks to her trauma. 

The following sequence is the narration of El’s letter. In this letter, El lies about her life in Lenora; she isn’t having a good time there. But also she said some things about her family that weren’t true, but she wasn’t lying about it. She just assumed things that weren’t true.: Joyce didn’t enjoy her new job,  Will wasn’t painting for a girl, and Jonathan wasn’t nervous because he was waiting for his acceptance letter. He has it already. 

So since the beginning, they’re telling us, “Watch out. Don’t take everything at face value.”

This season, our heroes sometimes lie, and our villains sometimes tell the truth. Or sometimes, the characters hide some truth. Even some characters gave long speeches where they were not completely honest. I already talked about one: El’s letter. But here are more examples:

Will’s speech in the van, when he’s describing his feelings as El’s. There’s some truth because the feelings are real but not from El.

Robin’s story about why she’s interested in Victor Creel. She started it with: “And I’ll tell you the truth, Anthony. These aren’t my clothes. I borrowed them because I wanted you to take us seriously. Because nobody takes girls seriously in this field.” it’s interesting because she’s telling the truth. Those clothes weren’t hers, and she used them so they could pass as students. Again there’s truth in there, but she’s also hiding something.

Steve’s speech to Nancy about his dream, which later he confesses was true, but he was omitting something. “It’s all true. But I left one part out. The most important part. You’re there.” 

Jason’s speech when he is sure that the Hellfire Club is a satanic cult. “I know what I saw. And I have come to accept an awful truth. These murders are ritualistic sacrifices.” He thinks he has discovered the truth but is mistaken. Again he wasn’t lying, but he was also not telling the truth.

Max’s letter to Billy. She’s not lying per se, but she’s saying all this like she’s suffering because she missed him. But that wasn’t the whole truth like Vecna told her. She was suffering from guilt for being relieved and happy that her abuser had died.

I’m not saying that all the speeches weren’t completely honest, but most were. One that was honest was Max’s when she admitted to Vecna that she wanted Billy to die. “You were just telling the truth.”

She completed her arc, and someone could say that Mike also completed his and told El that he loved her, but that would mean that his arc was about saying ily to his girlfriend, which brings me to another important point. In this season character’s inner conflicts were about learning, accepting or hiding some truth:

El has to learn the truth about the massacre and herself. She isn’t a monster (or a superhero)

Will was hiding his feelings for Mike.

Max has a hard time dealing with his guilt about the truth: She wanted Billy to die.

Jonathan lied about his acceptance letter because he didn’t want Nancy to throw away her dream.

Nancy also pretends everything is fine with Jonathan until she admits to Robin that she is worried about their relationship status.

So it’s not far-fetched to think that Mike’s arc was related to some truth that he was hiding or didn’t accept, especially when we had Will telling him this: “Sometimes I think it’s just scary to open up like that. To say how you really feel. Especially to people you care about the most. Because what if they don’t like the truth?” and Mike nodding in a close-up.

What would it be the truth that he was hiding that he was in love with El? In that case, she would like it. That’s exactly what she wanted to hear when he couldn’t say it.

Some people would say, “well, the truth he was hiding was about his insecurities.” I would think they’re right, but:

They didn’t talk about their insecurities in a proper conversation.

It would be a good character development if we don’t have Will literally encouraging him to talk.

He didn’t use the truth motif when talking about his insecurities.

This brings us to another point.

First, when Mike told El his insecurities about how he was scared of losing her, and one day, she realized that she didn’t need him anymore, so it would hurt more. I don’t think he was lying. Mike is scared of losing people he loves, and he probably would have a hard time saying it because when he loses them, it hurts more. And you will say you’re contradicting yourself. But no, I think he wasn’t saying the whole truth like some characters because there were other reasons why he wasn’t saying ily.

Ok, now back to my point. The use of the motif. Mike used this word in three different scenes, and the curious thing is that his last statement contradicts the first two:

“Listen, the truth is, the last year has been weird, you know […] it’s Hawkins. It is not the same without you”

“But the truth is, when I stumbled on her in the woods, she just needed someone. It’s not fate. It’s not destiny. It’s just simple dumb luck.”

“But the truth is, El, I don’t know how to live without you. I feel like my life started that day we found you in the woods [….] And I knew right then and there, in that moment that I loved you.”

He was telling Will how weird his time in Hawkins had been without him. And then practically said the same thing to El but tried to paint it more romantic. He also said to Will that his meeting with El was dumb luck, and he only knew that she needed someone. But in his monologue, he described that meeting as love at first sight. Also, how could his life have started that day when he was looking for his missing friend, the one whose town isn’t the same without him? So he was lying.

I think deep down Mike knew that he was lying, but he also kept lying to himself about his true feelings. But that’s an analysis for another day.

My point is that Mike wasn’t completely honest in his monologue. There were truth in his monologue, but not everything was true.

Hey. I just thought of something...

Do you ever think that if Percy wasn't A child of the big 3 would Annabeth like him? Would she do all of the stuff she did if He wasn't So Powerful? Would she even give him the time of day if he wasn't The son of Posiden?

Like she was following Percy around in the first book cause she thought he would be a child of the big 3.

Soo..if he wasn't would She give him the time of day?

This is a good question! Thanks for this one. I even commented once about this. I know many people will say that Annabeth would still love him no matter what and that is cute she decided to get close to him even though their parents are enemies.

My opinion is just a little bit different because Annabeth got interested in him (at least what I can guess) because there was a chance he could make her go on a mission with him and maybe this way she would make her mother proud. Annabeth is smart and knows that Percy wouldn't fail to save his mother. She knows that he seems very loyal to the people he cares about and a failure is not a chance to him when someone he loves is in danger. Not only this, but the fact that being one of the big three kids he could be very powerful to defeat his enemies (that's why one of the first times she really noticed him was when he defeated one of the monsters). I guess that Annabeth in the beginning must have thought he was a naive person that she could take some advantage of, but later she may have really liked to be his friend (at least the series shows this better. I think if Percy wasn't someone special, Annabeth wouldn't really fall in love with him. She still would call him a seaweed brain and make fun of him, but maybe ten times worse. Annabeth is that person that everything has to be the way she wants. So, what could Percy offer not being someone special? You can see in the series she only appearead to him when the boy was alone after getting bullied by Clarisse. She threw him into the water. She was already guessing that he was special...maybe since he arrived and that's why ( I guess) she kept following him around. Annabeth cares more about her own desires and problems. Her fatal flaw is arrogance. So, I find it pretty hard for her to get with someone "not that special". Example of that is when she calls Rachel "just a human" if I'm not mistaken. She forgot that Percy's mother is also "just a human" , right?

She even was rude to Rachel because she was "jealous" of Percy, even when he was nothing of hers yet. My mind says that Annabeth could have seen Percy as some kind of Trophy or something like that because Percy is a nice "seaweed brain" that she can order whenever she wants. Annabeth likes to be the only one to have all the control over the most powerful demigod. Arrogance is related to power. For arrogant people, power is everything.

To be simple, I think Annabeth can be very selfish and arrogant. So, she would want everything for her. Fame, friends, powerful boyfriend, family and many other things. She really doesn't care about the way she treats others. If she already does questionable things with Percy being very powerful, imagine how she would be if he wasn't special. From I could see, Annabeth only got close to the special or strongest ones. The seven (including Percy of course), Nico, Clarisse, Luke and Thalia...

"Oh, but there is Grover." I don't remember the books very well, but from I could see they don't seem that close like she was with the powerful demigods. Annabeth can also be a little manipulative, so I wouldn't doubt that she could have gotten closer to the biggest demigods for her own interests in the beginning, be it for her loneliness or another thing

So, yeah. I think she was only using Percy in the beginning and then when she got to know him better she wanted to be friends with him (even though she seems to only like ordering him sometimes). I think if Percy wasn't special, they would have been just friends, known people (when you know the person, but you guys are not that close) or they could have taken a long time to get together maybe.

I hope I answered your question. I actually don't remember many things about the book, so I try to make an opinion about what I see people commenting about Annabeth and what I get to see in the movies or series. I'm gonna ramble about my creepypasta AU from like 2012-2014ish I used to rp with a friend over my flip phone bc we where GENUINELY just insane <3

Some key things to keep in mind: we didn't really watch marble hornets at this time so masky and hoodie where (unfortunately) very much old fanon the rare few times they showed up. A lot of this AU was influenced by old deviantart web comics, mainly Pasta Monsters and The Seer. And lastly, we where like 12 when we made this so don't expect high art 💀 you're allowed to laugh bc genuinely it's so awful

This AU MOSTLY was centered around our OCs (of course). Mine was Banana, a repurposed warriors OC 💖 of course in usual middle schooler fashion, she was immortal and couldn't die, and she knew every single creepypasta amd everyone knew her and she was some special proxy y'all know the deal, if I remember to draw her again I'll rb or something with her bc I still love her dearly <3

Some key things abt this AU that I can remember off the top of my head in no specific order:

- Slenderman didn't have a mansion, he instead had an entire castle?? I have no clue why we decided a castle but that's what he had

-no one but slenderman lived in this castle. Not even his proxies, everyone else has their own houses, except Banana who has a big tree that grows diamond fruit

-how do people not fond a massive castle out in the forest? Easy. It's not in the forest, there's an entirely seperate realm they all live in and you access it by a random portal in the woods

-we genuinely deligated Masky and Hoodie to just sorta babysitting this portal. Actual proxy work? Never heard of it, they just watch a portal for days on end. Expect Masky sometimes, he got to babysit Banana because she caused ✨️problems✨️ constantly. We very much characterized his as the shy uwu nervous Masky the entire time

-proxies got their special proxy names Via warriors cats naming ceremony, we had a moment with another OC that was an extended rp of this moment. I do not know how we talked abt it like it was the most serious and genius thing in class the next day

-Jeff was one of the most prominent characters, he did not like Banana what so ever and she at some point made it her life goal to be the most prominent nuisance in his life. Multiple times as some form of punishment for both of them causing some issue or just fighting in general, Slenderman would make them go live together in the human world as normal people in suburbia or some shit. This happened VERY often and I choose to still use this plot point as the set up for conversations and jokes about them to this day

-the neighborhood they lived in was completely oblivious to the fact that these where two known serial killers, EXCEPT one of their neighbors who was hell bent on exposing them. No one believed her ever.

-how do they live as normal people? Tbis is where the pasta monsters influence comes in, I believe it was called an illusion form in that comic? Whatever it was called, that's the logic we used. Jeff looked like a Normal Guy and Banana instead of being a cat, was in fact a human girl, who for whatever reason we decided kept getting mistaken for some random orphan girl named Daisy

-despite this AU taking place in (at the time) modern times, old times orphanages and asylums where still in operation and was another very prominent plot point we used (to the extent of the knowledge we had as 12 year Olds of these places) banana and Jeff ended up in the asylum in padded rooms and straight jackets a lot

-this has no bearing on the plot what so ever but I know we referred to the police as "the popo" and ONLY the popo for the entire duration of the rp. All 2 or 3 years of it.

That's all I can think of at the moment, there's. A lot more that I'm missing here and whenever it crops up I'll just rb with more details or smthn bc I genuinely rlly like just putting whatever the hell we where on into words 💀💀

Hi anon! There are so many good episodes. I have a few core favorites and a few that seem to change around a bit. They're in no particular order - and my thoughts are basically "Mulder and Scully are hot/cute/adorable" 😁

The Pine Bluff Variant - it's so good. I feel like it's underrated. Mulder trying to keep a secret from Scully! Mulder running! Scully setting his finger! Her following him!! It also has the whole "evil government" aspect to it.

Wetwired - another underrated episode! It's a monster-of-the-week episode but with mytharc elements. Scully being affected and becoming paranoid is amazing. And Mrs. Scully is in the episode too, of course!

Bad Blood - I mean that's a given, right? I like the comedy of it and I love the whole he said/she said spiel. It's a very fun episode.

Rain King - another fun episode. As a huge rom-com fan this one has to make my list. It's cute. I love Mulder and Scully being mistaken for a couple by *everyone*. Not to mention the room sharing and Scully's speech.

Pilot - I think this episode sets the show up so well. Mulder and Scully as baby agents meeting for the first time and bonding and clashing immediately. What's not to love?

Redux 2: I can't tell you why I love this episode so much. Or the whole three parter really. All I know is that for a while when I was a kid I watched it almost daily. It's Mulder crying at her hospital bed and both of them fighting their own fight and Scully going into remission.

Colony/End Game - I often forget about this episode but the mytharc in the early seasons was really good. Fake Mulder hurting Scully and then real Mulder choosing Scully over (fake) Samantha is so much drama and I LOVE it. The whole Mulder and his family part is heartbreaking.

Anasazi/The Blessing Way/Paper Clip - I cannot tear these episodes apart. They belong together. From Mulder being drugged to Scully shooting him and driving gim across country, being a total badass, to thinking he died and then losing her sister. There's so much here.

Squeeze - I just enjoy season one so much. They're all comfort episodes to me (except Space. That episode can fuck off). I love the case, I love Scully's answer when Colton asks her whose side she's on. Scully saying Mulder is territorial. I know it's not a two-parter per se, but I have to mention Tooms here, too, cause technically I like that one even better (that MSR moment in the car alone!).

Memento Mori - it's as heartbreaking as it is brilliant. Gillian is amazing in it and Scully choosing to fight is everything to me. As is that hug at the end. And Mulder watching her walk away. That one's just sad.

Demons - one of my absolute favorites. Yes, psrt of it is Mulder being a burrito at the beginning and him being insanely hot in jeans and a white t-shirt. But I also like seeing how far he's willing to go for this quest. Scully being worried sick (and she IS sick in late season 4 😭) is a bonus.

Je Souhaite - another fun episode. No one is dying. Well, Anson Stokes dies, but he doesn't count. Scully and her invisible man are so precious. The ending of course. Mulder being a sweetie, asking for world peace and then looking for Scully.

Detour - I love the case and suspense with person after person going missing. The beginning with them and the other two agents in the car is so funny. The singing of course and the whole raining sleeping bags thing. My personal favorite though is Mulder jumping into that hole to be with Scully.

I'm gonna stop here and do a few honorable mentions: The Jersey Devil, Dreamland 1+2, Jose Chung's From Outer Space, Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose, War of the Coprophages, Ice, Pusher(!) and Aqua Mala.

This got long. This show has way too many good episodes! I know I forgot several that I love.

What if Tears was actually Zelda?

Not in a totk-role swap kind of way (which I do have ideas for), but what if Link completed totk and defeated Ganondorf but Zelda never turned back. She’s stuck as a dragon and Link spends thousands of hours scoping Zonai ruins to find a way to turn her back. And the only solution Link can find is a dark magic ritual taking Zelda’s place, an eye for an eye and a soul for a soul.

And Link is fine with this. He’s always sacrificing himself for her, desperately risking life and limb without regard for his own well being, and thinking Hyrule would be better off with their ruler back. And he missed her terribly. Then finally, Link manages to bring Zelda back not long before becoming a dragon himself.

Zelda awakens from a long slumber and her memories are hazy after over 10,000 years. She comes out all unkempt with unruly hair and an uncharacteristically wild, dragon-like demeanor. When she gets back to Purah, she can hardly recognize the princess.

Dragon scales adorn her once porcelain skin in random patches. Her eyes are bright and glowing something mysterious and powerful. Her nails twist and sharpen into talons. You get the gist. In her hylian form, if it weren’t for all the dragon-like qualities she might’ve mistaken Zelda for Link.

Purah fills Zelda in on the situation, confused as to how Zelda returned but Link has not and put the pieces together. Zelda is left confused and dazed and makes it her mission to find an alternative solution to bringing Link back with her, unknowingly taking on a bit of the hero’s mantle as she travels the kingdom to deal with the remnants of Gloom and monsters.

And when strangers from across time and space named Link randomly show up on her kingdom’s doorstep, she has no choice but to assume her knight’s identity and pretend to be Link both for her sake and for Link’s.

Thoughts? I think it’d be fun mostly cause I’ve been thinking about redoing Tears’ whole thing. I’m just not vibing with how I’ve written Tears’ character so far in the first couple chapters I’ve been working on and might overhaul the entire Link (but retain the basic design elements). Just feeling a bit bland so I might start (nearly) completely fresh and get out of my head about it.

What if humanity and the surface monsters somehow got Alphys’ camera footage of the Ebott Kingdom all attacking and trying to destroy Frisk as well as harvest their soul?… What if half of the Kingdom (including all the main characters) were thrown in a special Anti-Magic Prison, because of all their crimes (child murder + attempted murder + attempted war/genocide)?… What if Frisk gets adopted by Monster Kid’s family, while this is happening?

And what if the mother of one of the 6 dead humans was actually a monster (aka the child was adopted)?

Toriel: I understand why Asgore and some of the others are on trial… But why am I also on trial? I didn’t murder those children! I haven’t done anything wrong!

Old Monster Lady: Queen Toriel?

Toriel: Yes?

Old Monster Lady: I just found out, that all the previous humans that came before Frisk, had died by your husband’s hands and YOU KNEW IT! You knew what King Asgore and his Kingdom was gonna do to those children and their souls! You knew he wanted to start another horrible war! But you let him hurt those innocent humans anyway? You knew all those things! But still my boy is dead now. And there’s nothing you can do about it. My boy is dead, because of YOU and YOUR HUSBAND… I wanted you to know that.

[Old Monster Lady walks away, with tears in her eyes…]

Asgore: I’m sorry, Toriel. She’s wrong. What happened wasn’t your fault.

Toriel: …Yes, it was.

Out of curiosity, how do you think Asgore + Toriel + Papyrus + Undyne + Alphys + Mettaton + Sans would all react if some of the previous dead humans that Asgore destroyed… were actually adopted by surface-monster families (like how Asgore and Toriel adopted Chara)?

How would they feel about realizing that their horrible actions had ironically hurt monsterkind as well as humanity?

How would they feel about realizing that they’re honestly no better than the Human Village that destroyed Asriel a long time ago? 💔💔💔

Aikoiya: Hmm… This is a tough one… Well, for one, they’d likely be blindsided by the fact that there were still monsters living on the surface at all. Then add to that the fact that they, as far as I can tell from your submission, just openly live in harmony with humanity. It’d be quite the shock.

Afterall, there was a ton of speciesist propaganda going around the Underground. The only real way I could see this being possible is if Asgore & Toriel had either not been born yet during the Monster-Human War or they’d been too young to remember much of it.

Plus, there’s a decent amount of evidence to suggest that a lot more happened to cause the war to take place. That the monsters might not have been as innocent as the player was led to believe.

I go over this in post of mine from a while back.

Anyway, in such a situation as this being the case, that would suggest that it was actually Asgore’s predecessor who fought in the war, but we don’t know anything about them, so most of this is just speculation on my part.

If this was true, it’s very possible that the only ones aware that there were other monsters out there not living in the Underground would be those who’d lived through it & the only one that we know of for certain would be Gerson. Meanwhile, all the newer monsters would be under the mistaken impression that they were the only ones for various reasons.

Despite the fact that, if that were the case, then it would mean that humanity had exterminated everyone else, which makes no sense considering the fact that they were trapped in a giant magic prison rather than killed off. The very fact that the monsters of the Underground are alive to debate the idea makes mockery of the possibility. Either monsters are too self-absorbed to think on it or there are those that bring this up, but the rest of the Underground largely looks down on them as conspiracy theorists. (I personally like the latter more.)

As for why Gerson wouldn’t say anything about this, I’m not sure. It’s possible that there was some sort of gag order by someone higher up, but that’s a theory for another time.

Asgore… would likely be horrified. After all, he put his own people through the same anguish that he, himself, went through so long ago. Like I’ve said before, I see him as the type to take the guilt onto himself & accept the punishment of… basically being a cereal child murderer. I don’t wanna think about how long he’d be in though. I mean, he’s got 6 counts of 1st degree murder (25 years to life each), 1 count of conspiracy to commit murder (10 years to life), as well as conspiracy to commit genocide (20 years to life). So, that’s 180 years to life right there & that's lowballing it.

Toriel, I see feeling insanely guilty for the exact reason you stated above. I don’t think she did what she did purposefully, more so unconsciously, but it was still, inevitably, wrong & against the law. So, in the end, it really wouldn't matter unless her defense attorney happened to be a member of the Wright Anything Agency. In the end, hers would be more a crime of negligence. So, she’s more likely to be charged with 6 counts of misprision of felony & accessory after the fact. While misprision is a misdemeanor & prison time for it is only 3 years per. Multiply that by 6-7 (I assume) & that adds up to at least 18 years. Add to that the 6 counts of accessory to felony, which is lowballed at 1 year, but the maximum of 15-30 years each depending on where you are, that adds up to 24-180 plus 18, so 42-198 years. That isn’t an insignificant amount. Then, there’s the fact that she knew about Asgore’s intention to commit literal genocide, so that’s complicacy in genocide, which adds, at most, ½ the term of imprisonment for the original crime as far as I’m seeing. This also technically counts for all the monsters involved.

Papyrus… I feel like he’d be the least affected. He’s never seen to be the particularly malicious type, so I see him being more confused, but at the same time elated. I’m not sure if he knew about the intent to commit genocide. He’d at least get assault charges. If nothing else, I got the impression that he would accept that he did something wrong & own up to it once he knew that he did something wrong. As such, I see him being one of the only ones who might be able to manage to get a lighter sentence, possibly. That could just be me, but that's what I think.

Undyne… Yeesh… I very much think her entire worldview would be flipped on its head. She only ever really befriends Frisk for petty reasons & she was just outright bigoted from the moment you meet her. Sure, she was all-in on Frisk after the fact, but I, personally, can't really be sure how much of that is genuine & how much is her being committed to proving that she can, which would definitely be something brought up by a prosecutor to cast doubt on her motives. Not to mention, she was all-in with the genocide idea for years. So, that’s aiding & abetting, conspiracy... Gosh, I’m getting a headache…

I’m not really sure what Alphys would think. I mean, she’d be happy that they weren’t alone, but at the same time… It’s possible that she thought of this as a possibility, but either did not speak up for one reason or another, or entirely dismissed the idea as impossible. Either way, she alone has committed several crimes against both humanity & monsterkind. I mean, it's likely that monsterkind is counted amongst the ranks of people, & as such, she’d have definitely violated the laws of the Geneva Convention & human experimentation, not just against the human souls, but also the monsters who became the amalgamates. In fact, due to monsters openly being part of Surface life, it's likely that both races were waiting for the Underground monsters to come up, likely believing that, at most 6 of the missing children had fallen down there as if all had, then why hadn't they surfaced yet. I could see the Surface monsters hoping that the Underground monsters would opt for mercy, only to feel uncertain when only 1 human child surfaced with them, then horrified to learn what had taken place.

Actually, the Surface monsters might end up being the most audibly upset over it.

As for Sans… I don’t think he’d process it very well at first. Oh, he wouldn’t make a big deal about it on the outside, but inside, I see him having severe cognitive dissonance over it. I just… I see him as being very anti-human one way or another. Maybe not outwardly, but the way he acts in the game towards Frisk, as well as the fact that he is, in some way or another, aware of the RESETs to some degree, yet doesn't do anything about it until far too late, suggests at the very least a level of scorn.

I’m starting to get a bit of a headache, so I’m not gonna do Mettaton here.

Either way, there’d be this cloud of discomfort that would descend upon the Underground monsters, though not necessarily the outright DOOM that would be appropriate for this situation because, really only Alphys might actually have some idea of just how effed they were due to having watched anime & even she wouldn’t really have a full idea unless she were the sort to play Ace Attorney games or some such. I don’t really see many monsters completely understanding what the big deal is because, as I assume, the monsters were implied to have been sealed during a time where monsters & humans mostly used old school weaponry such as spears as shown at the beginning of the game. Not guns. And considering how willing they were to commit genocide (again, I can’t let this go) & the fact that we don’t really see any prisons or dungeons in the Underground, I’m not even sure that Underground monsters have laws against murder. So, it's likely that the discomfort would mostly be due to concern with how they'd be seen & not from fear of retribution. As such, monsterkind would definitely be in for a rude awakening.

Dear God, almost all the monsters in the Underground could get jailtime or juvie! I only see Monster Kid possibly getting out of it, maybe. Do we even see anyone in the game who says they don’t want this to happen?? Like, obviously those who tried to prevent it & acted out in defiance of it might be given leave as it was literally impossible for them to report the crime so they could get some leeway, but all those who sung out in favor like Bratty & Catty?? Their asses would be in jail.

Though, how would a court even try those that said nothing such as Grillby & Fuku Fire?

Why did Asgore wait? Unless, either he wanted to be defeated someday to keep from having to go through with what he promises or he actively didn't know about Chara's soul still being around & thought that it'd simply turned to dust with Asriel's body? But that doesn't make sense, he'd have seen it... Or he refused to use their soul to kill humanity?

Hmm... That never occurred to me before now. Might wanna look into that...

HALLOWEEN- Jas:

She has missed one Halloween celebration (was too busy working to realize where was any celebration) and went as a witch in another. This year? She's going in a belly dancer outfit, feeling sexy and fun. She got the idea from Aladdin, she originally was gonna get the outfit in teal to be Jasmine but preferred the outfit Jasmine was in when Jafar held her captive more. Maybe she'll seduce her way to victory this Halloween~ Her favorite part of Halloween is being able to wear whatever she wants and seeing how happy the kids at the orphanage get. Hunter:

He has his vampire jacket on. Now offer your neck so he can take a quick bite outta you, he's thirsty. He really picked this cause this was the sexiest male costume he found. He is not gonna be a skeleton or scarecrow when he can be the mysterious, dark, desired monster of the night. He'll suck on your neck and then your dic- He's here for a fun night... All types of fun.

Jas would want to try something new every year so she might go through all types of dancer outfits she can get her hands on, then do sexy cat girl, succubus, etc. She will wear anything that catches her eye.

Hunter would dress up as a werewolf. He already has the ears and tail! He just needs some sexy aesthetically ripped clothes and he's good to go. He thinks werewolves are hot and should get allllll the love. No, he doesn't think that out of bias. Now rub his stomach. ... Lower... Lower... Lowe- Oh. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Celeste would either dress up as biblical figures or historical ones. She would roleplay them too and make it EDUCATIONAL to everyone around her. Someone, please force her into a silly dumb costume so she can just have fun.

Maeve would freaking COSPLAY if given the chance. Krul Tepes from Owari no Seraph, Moka Akashiya from Rosario to Vampire, Yui from Angel Beats, Chibiusa from Sailor Moon, Yuno Gasai from Mirai Nikki, Zero Two from Darling in the FranXX- Just pink anime girls all the way. Cute but angsty Toradeen prompt I came up with!

Clawdeen finally has Toralei meet her dad by having her over at their house for dinner. (Clawds there too ig). And Toralei is super nervous but excited too. And deep down Clawdeen is a little nervous as well. Not cause she thinks her dads gonna hate her or anything, but like. Toralei’s mom was kjnda somewhat an enemy of her own Mom. And her Dad had to have known that somewhere. And also she’s a fad worried for Toraleis sake. She knows her mom is literal trash. And so things like a simple relaxing dinner with someone knew might be really hard for her. Since most of the time she was expected to be perfect, or her Mom was manipulating her in some way. Clawdeen of course doesn’t say this. She just tries to keep an extra close eye out. Trying to find any hints of discomfort through the night.

It’s a little awkward at first. Toralei is very tense and unnecessarily proper and doesn’t fully understanding genuine interest in her life and being able to make small decisions for herself like what she wants to eat. (Cause I definitely see Raterina as someone who would choose all the food Toralei has to eat out of control. She just has like specific things more than others. Hence how she has favorite foods and all)

But the dinner mainly goes well. Toralei starts to relax and everything seems to be doing just fine!

That is of course. Until it doesn’t. Toralei bumps a glass and it breaks on the floor. She flinches. Freezing up and looking up in upmost terror. Immediately launching into the biggest apology ever and rapidly starts trying to pick up the glass and is getting close to tears cause she thinks she ruined everything (cause if that happened in Katerina’s house. She’d probably yell at her for three hours about how she’s so clumsy and a waste of space and how much of a disrespect it was ect.)

And then she gets even more confused/distraught when Mr. Wolf stands up and like ‘Honey, no wait, Toralei can you just stop for a second? You didn’t ruin anything. Can you just step away from the glass I don’t want you hurting yourself. Oh, did you cut yourself? We should look at that first, Clawd can you get the first aid kit? I’ll clean the glass afterwards no one move over there. Toralei Honey can you come over here?’

And Toralei is just letting out all these choked sobs because she’s literally so utterly baffled and confused and overwhelmed cause this man she just met is caring for her and asking her how SHE feels and isn’t scolding her and he’d rather tend to her then clean the glass. That he would rather clean the glass than make her do it ljke she believe she should’. Clawdeen just slowly coaxes her over and soothes her cries and gets her to focus on the hear and now again.

idk. Apollo cleans the wound. Slaps a bandage on. Gives some heart to heart about how she is more important then any glass and if someone ever told her that then their sorely mistaken

Noodle has a pokemon team!

Pokemon under cut (possible spoilers) 

Pikachu: in a phase one interview when the group was asked who their hero’s were and one of noodle’s heroes was pikachu. Good ol 'pikachu the face of pokemon. Noodle 

Golduck: some of Noodles favorite pokemon are Pikachu, Golduck, and Meowth.Golduck are very elegant pokemon, and the fastest swimming of all pokemon. Often seen swimming elegantly by lakeshores. It is often mistaken for the Japanese monster Kappa. -Leafgreen Pokedex

Trevenant: the preeveloution of Trevenant is Phantump. Phantump are the souls of lost kids who died in the woods. Noodle is also a lost kid in a way, born as a child soldier and raised in the spotlight. I can just see Noodle finding A Phantump in the woods around Kong Studio (cause that place is infested with zombies, so ghost types) the two of them becoming best friends as they understand one another. It’s now a Trevenant because they grew up together. The pokedex also says a Treveant will eat anyone who tries to destroy a forest, so basically Demon Days. 

Sawk: This Pokemon is a part of a duo Sawk and Throh, both being based on martial arts and red oni blue oni. Red oni and blue oni is a trope based on a japanese legend. Noodle would be Sawk (or blue oni) because blue oni are smart, quiet, blunt, and think first act second. 

Mienshao: an elegant yet fierce martial artist pokemon, Noodle herself is also able to be described as such. Mienshao will not back down from a fight and will not be stopped either. The fur over it’s paws are used as whips by the pokemon and look like kimono sleeves. 

Spinda: Noodle has a lot of cool things in her life, but I think she would deserve a small pink pokemon. Spinda are wobbly and fall over often, not unlike house cats. The umstead steps of Spinda are said to make it look like it’s dancing. Noodle would have guitar practices and Spinda dancing there as moral support.

First of all, I want to say thank you for the compliment! I'm glad that everyone seems to be enjoying my crossover ideas for the most part.

But yes! Yes I do have more. And while I don't have a model, I do have a bit of a list.

Let's start off with the one's I've been writing about!

Now, of course Dpxdc is the most popular and well known out of these because that's what I write the most, but I think that they work all well.

Let's start with Dp as a whole. Not only does Danny have access to all this advanced technology, human and supernatural alike, he's also powerful himself. And that fact that something so powerful was happening in pretty much a ghost town-heh- with no outside interference other than the GIW could lead to a lot. And the fact that it's canon that the portals in the ghost world that takes them to different points in time and possibly universes, there is a lot that could be worked with here.

And Steven Universe is almost the same. All this gem technology and the powers of gems themselves is something frightening since we've seen so many gems and only know what a good quarter of them could do. Plus tell me that Beach City wouldn't be crowded with heroes or spies if it wasn't in the Marvel or DC verse.

Same with a lot of these fandoms when it comes to crossovers. Either they somehow manage to live peacefully in the same universe without making each other aware of the others presence until a certain even caused them to interact, or one of the universes has magic or technology strong enough to send a person or people hurling to a completely different universe.

But enough about that! Let's go on to my list! Some of these crossovers may or may not have been done in either forms of prompts or fanfiction, or they're just rp ideas I had in the past, so be aware that none of these are completely original (at least I think so) .

I'm separating it like this because this is a long list. Be warned.

Overlord x Slime: Because Isekai Quartet did us wrong for not having Rimuru in the series. I think this would fit mostly because having two monster leaders who were from Japan would get along nicely. Although Rimuru is more laidback than Ainz. Both leaders are strong and care deeply about those who work under them while striving to create a better home for them.

Danny Phantom x The Walking Dead: Honestly I don't think I've seen this around, at least nothing recent. But I like this one because I gotta know: would the walkers just walk right passed Danny? Would any or all liminals be free from being chased by walkers? If so, would Amity park even change much if they were?

Dp x Avatar: The Last Airbender: I like this one because I based it around the previous Avatars and the Avatar state. I picture it being this giant part of the Infinite Realms that

Lego Monkie Kid x Xiaolin Showdown: I honestly just think that this would fit somehow. With all of the spirits and beings that are in the XS universe, I think that this would fit! Maybe because of the monkey staff? Probably.

Kingsman x Dc/Marvel: With all the secret agencies and facilities having around the world, I would not doubt if something like the Kingsman or Statemen existing in either world.

Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid x Harry Potter: I want one of the dragons to be mistaken as a dragon in the magical world and becomes one of the dragons the champions have to face in the tr-wizard tournament.

Bofuri! x Overlord: I think Ainz would be surprised to see another gamer. And with someone like Maple and her never ending arsenal, she'd definitely surprise him.

Dragon Raja x Genshin Impact: Mostly the dragon thing, but I think it'd be interesting to see altogether.

Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid x Genshin Impact: I like to think that the world the dragons from the show come from are the Genshin Universe. If not, then it would be one of the worlds they have access to.

DC x Percy Jackson: Someone please let Diana teach the little babies how to fight! They need it!

Sailor Moon x Miraculous Ladybug!: Girl power! The heroes of Japan and France getting along. Plus do you think the Kwami's would be aware about the moon kingdom?

When Into the Spider-Verse came out, I made a spider-sona like a lot of people. Except…she wasn’t that good. The outfit was. The story wasn’t. I won’t go into it…but it was just lazy and…yeah. Not great.

I’d been wanting to rewrite and redesign her since Across the Spider-Verse, but I didn’t know what to do or how to make it unique. Or at least something believable.

Until now.

Introducing my redesigned Spider-Sona…who was not bit by a radioactive animal of some kind, genetically altered by science, or anything like that. Actually…she’s the symbiote (usually known as Venom) host of her world, except her actions and his past change things from usual probably.

I wasn’t going to do that at first, because I thought that seemed silly…but then decided why not? I like monsters, I like monstrous-looking heroes, and I like Venom (both together and as just the symbiote) (all versions of him, not just the one from his title movie).

I’m not an expert on Marvel comics or on Venom, though, so don’t expect absolute accuracy and smooth insertion…but I thought it would be fun.

She isn’t recruited by the Spider-Verse HQ either, either because she is also an anomaly, she was mistaken for being the Venom of her world, or they didn’t trust her to be a good hero since a parasitic monster is how she has her powers…and if she can’t control him, they can’t trust her to not cause damage. (Actually though she would say “fuck canon” and try to stop a horrible canon event like Miles did. And the symbiote would make sure she succeeds… So Miguel would probably fire her immediately. lol)

So that’s the idea…I don’t think I’ll do much with this since like I said, I don’t know a lot about the source. But if I come up with any short skits or want to draw this version of my s/i more I will.

Edit: I decided the symbiote with her is actually one I made up. They’re all more or less the same until they develop via bonding to people, so this one is an ‘OC’ in that it isn’t a canon one.

Design Features

-The suit is the symbiote. She wears some kind of clothes under it (at least a pair of shorts and a tank top), but when changing to her Spider alter-ego he (the symbiote, or Venom if he goes by that name here) just forms as the suit around her. Settling on a design took a while…and deciding on a name took even longer. (She refused to go by the name ‘Venom’. It felt wrong and gave a bad impression of who she is.)

-When she loses control of her emotions, and later when facing a really tough opponent, the symbiote responds and becomes the more monstrous form we know him for. Meg was scared of this form for a while, since it was so much stronger and more dangerous.

-The belt was added by Meg. She used to keep a phone-holder clip there and have a pouch on the other side for headphones, which she wears to listen to music when fighting the average robber or weaker threat. It keeps her focused and calm, and keeps the symbiote from taking over completely. Later these are replaced by an enchanted pouch by a sorcerer that eventually becomes an ally. This pouch is basically a bag of holding but looks like a simple Velcro-strap pouch.

-She fought for the hood and eight-eyes look the mask has. The hood because it makes her feel less exposed and it looks cool, the eyes because spiders usually have 8 eyes. This is the only accurate thing to spiders on the design aside from the chest emblem in her usual hero form…the symbol being a tarantula. Her favorite type of spider.

The design of the mask helps to throw off her enemies. Especially when the symbiote makes the ‘eyes’ all narrow with her real eyes for effect. This has led fans and foes alike to come up with wild theories about her being a spider-human mutant thing with increasingly disturbing features under the mask. (A cryptid if you will)

-She also came up with the flying squirrel-like design element they use later. The symbiote changing the suit design to have wing arms like a flying squirrel for gliding if she can’t use webs.

-Her feet look like she has shoes on, because under the suit she does. If she is ever not wearing shoes when ‘suiting up’ her feet look more like most spider-peoples’, which is to say like slippers or barefoot under the fabric. This makes people even more confused on what the heck she even is…and there are entire blogs and magazine columns theorizing about it.

The redesign traced from the old ones I did. I drew all of these when I made the first, but I got lazy so just traced my own work here.

The more powerful and monstrous form they take when facing a much tougher opponent or when emotions run high. Meg used to hate this form…but as trust with the symbiote grew and she saw that when working together they could control the strength of it, she became more accepting.

She still does not want to run around like this, though. She wants to keep up that motto of “friendly neighborhood spider-hero” everyone else (except Miguel I’d guess) has. Only the bad guys need to see the monster.

Whether this view changes or not…who knows. But when this form was revealed people were more confused than ever on WHAT. THE. HELL. SHE. EVEN. IS???

She comes to really enjoy all the crazy cryptid theories they come up with. X’D

◓ Linnae

someone's a popular lil fish

Linnae wouldn't be much of a Pokemon trainer, and his sheltered upbringing would probably translate him just Not being allowed to go out and see any Pokemon until he's well past the usual adventuring age. Once he is able to go out on his own, he's very inexperienced and doesn't know a single thing about training or battling so his Pokemon are just his little buddies, likely mons that decided to stick by his side until he discovered he could actually, y'know. Catch Them.

Kingdra is Linnae's signature Pokemon, who he raised from a Horsea. He was the first mon he befriended and the one who has been around the longest, so Kingdra does feel very protective of his trainer and the other Pokemon on his team. He is the main Pokemon Linnae uses in battles, and by 'use in battles' I mean 'Kingdra will forcibly eject himself out of his pokeball to protect Linnae because Lin thinks battles are scary and cause unnecessary harm'.

Gastrodon is the second Pokemon Linnae befriended, and was raised from a Shellos. She's a very chill Pokemon, and is more concerned about eating, sleeping, and getting pampered by Linnae than anything else. Linnae adores her, and looks after her like a pet and a companion and not a monster to battle with.

Pincurchin was caught at the same time as Gastrodon (Shellos), and has stuck close by her ever since. She's a bit more keen for battles than her close friend, but that's more to get any fights over and done with quickly using a powerful electric attack and then going back to napping with Gastrodon. Sometimes she likes to sit on Linnae's head while he adventures.

Dratini was fished up from a lake by Linnae when he was looking for actual fish to cook for dinner. While he knew nothing about the dragon-type Pokemon, he knew she was definitely special enough to not be eaten. Dratini is a bit of a baby and is skittish around the idea of battling, but she does want to get stronger to help Linnae out on his travels.

Tatsugiri actually was initationally mistaken for food by Gastrodon until he ended up in the other mon's mouth and fought back. There's a bit of bad blood between them, but Linnae knows Gastrodon didn't mean any harm so he's hoping that keeping Tatsugiri around will help him understand that as well. He gets along with all the other mons just fine, though. But Gastrodon? It's on sight.

Hatenna is the latest addition to Linnae's team, who just started following him around one night and never stopped. She's curious about the seadweller, and seems to sense the magical ability within him. She doesn't battle or really interact with the other mons at all, she's just There. Watching.

Media that would make hilarious Kingdom Hearts worlds:

Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Angel the Series If souls and hearts are the same thing, then that makes Vampires basically 'Nobodies' with bad teeth. (Thank you Spike for the "fluffy puppy with bad teeth" line) Which makes explaining Angel, and later Spike, a little difficult, but I bet I could come up with something.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters They keep talking about the Heart of the Cards and, considering shadow monsters are living beings, that's no doubt quite literal. Sora, Donald, and Goofy as unexpected duelists at Pegasus' Duelist Kingdom tournament would be hilarious. And it's not like Kingdom Hearts has never done a card game type thing before.

The Arrowverse Set it during one of the crossover events for maximum chaos. Sora, Donald, and Goofy as super heroes. Cisco getting to meet Chip and Dale. Killer Frost teaming up with the bad guys only to realize she wants to protect Caitlin's friends, not fight them. Oliver being dragged into the Kingdom Hearts multiverse to hangout with Cloud and get involved in the weird thing with Sephiroth that's never properly explained thanks to KH3 dropping the Final Fantasy character plot lines. (hisses in irritation) The Legends traveling to other worlds in the Waverider and causing as much trouble as they try to fix. Sora getting mistaken for a Robin in Gotham and being Batwoman's sidekick. (Either Batwoman.)

Myst An introduction of new ways to reach other worlds, using books to travel. Maybe it'll explain what's up with the Winnie the Pooh book? Investigating the connection between the civilization that preceded the D'ni and the Keyblade wars?

Doctor Who Maybe not as a specific world, but having Doctor Who bad guys and the Doctor showing up on random worlds and the Doctor having someone traveling with him for a while after their Gummi ship broke would be entertaining. I'm kind of thinking 10th or 12th Doctor, but having all of them pop up for cameos would be fun. Along with River and Jack. And, of course, the TARDIS has a heart of her own - which perhaps is what has the Doctor's path cross with Sora & the gang, because Heartless keep going after the TARDIS' world-sized heart.

The Care Bears Grumpy Bear and Donald Duck in the same game. Maybe the Care Bears can reach multiple worlds from Care-a-lot? A revisit of the Care Bears in Wonderland plot with Sora, Donald, and Goofy thrown in the mix? Care Bears Stare vs Heartless! Or, ooooh, Darkheart being a Heartless whose ability to form a friendship with Christy restores his human form? (score for the power of platonic love)

Honestly, there are so many potential 'worlds' to choose from. Maybe one day I'll just right a Kingdom Hearts crossover crack fic just to play with them all. :D
