I should note, I hate the soulmates "we would fall in love in every universe" trope for the aforementioned "where's the tension and interest and really anything worthwhile" reasons. However, "we would find each other in every universe" fucking rips. We would interact meaningfully in every universe but sometimes we are lovers and sometimes we are friends and sometimes we are bitter enemies and sometimes we'd simply both be in the same HOA.

Danny sucked in a breath through his teeth as the world stabilized around him into white walls and gleaming metal. The sound echoed again. A mechanical voice announced something.

A portal.

He had just been shoved through a portal.

“Kid?”

He could still feel the hum of of it running along his skin like echoes of electricity.

“Nightingale?”

A hand landed on his shoulder and Danny spun with a growl. Constantine took a step back, hands raised, palms out.

The sound again.

Batman 02, the voice said.

The shadow of a man stepped out of the contraption as Danny sucked in another ragged breath. He glanced around them at the collection of heroes. He was in the Justice League.

“We had a deal, John,” Danny hissed as he rounded on Constantine again. He stabbed his pointing finger at the other. (He was surprised his hand didn’t shake.)

“Excuse me—”

“Fuck off, Superguy,” Danny snarled, not looking away from John. Holy shit that was Superman.

“Nightingale,” Batman started.

“There was one rule, Constantine!”

“Okay! Geesh, Kid, I get it, but, um, maybe tone down the magic show, yeah?” Constantine asked. Nervously. Why was he nervous?

Danny glanced down at the flower and whirls of ice that were forming under his feet.

cynical but much mellower than you’d expect, since Helios keeps him levelled out with positivity. when his LV does become too much to handle anyway, he’s sent out on missions to get rid of dissidents. he doesn’t like being ordered around and finds Helios incredibly grating and hates all the admiration he gets… but also Dust sticks around with his head down for the free food, shelter, and the secret hope that making AUs positive by Helios’ orders will repent for all the bad he’s done. he’s only good for killing, right? so he may as well use that for the “greater good”. but if you ask he’d definitely imply it’s just for the LV.

How I was meant to all along

I really don't buy a lot of the recent rumours Earthspark is cancelled after series 2.

A lot of it seems to be coming from misunderstanding the Hasbro investor /financial statement, You Tube "news", and fan speculation.

True Hasbro didn't do well last quarter, *edit: I've taken a section I originally wrote about Hasbro's overall profit out as I'm not convinced I understand the statement correctly, as financial stuff isn't my field, and I don't want to contribute to more rumours*

However most other large media/toy/entertainment companies are struggling right now, and a lot of Hasbros struggles are down to their p*ss poor handling of massive properties like MtG and especially D&D.

However Transformers as a brand did okay on the whole. Yes, the companies overall revenue is down but the statement itself says "strong performance in GI Joe, Furby and Transformers", indeed it says transformers saw a revenue (I think) growth of +25%. I really don't know where the "news" Earthspark specifically was a flop has come from, as the statement doesn't mention Earthspark at all, just transformers in general.

Maybe the show will ultimately be cancelled, given how poor its distribution and marketing has been I wouldn't be surprised unfortunately (the last 6 episodes of the series still isn't available on UK Netflix or BBC iPlayer for example). Paywalling your flagship toy advertisement behind a relatively small streaming platform that's mainly used for watching Star Trek, is not a great way to get kids watching.

But as far as I can tell Hasbros made no comments on it officially and by the standards of a pretty crap year for businesses as a whole Transformers is actually doing fairly well.

So NO its not cancelled, not until Hasbro or Nickelodeon actually say it's cancelled, at the moment all people are going off is speculation and rumor.

My Headcanons on the relationships between the Beasts: (mainly on Shadow Milk because i am biased)

Shadow Milk and Eternal Sugar: They are besties, Eternal would definitely contrast their Calm energy to Shadow Milk's chaoticness, Sugar definitely supervises Shadow Milk because they can keep up with them than the others, but sometimes Eternal Sugar will be like: "I woke up and chose chaos" and joins Shadow Milk in their shenanigans.

Mystic flour and Shadow Milk: Older Sister and Annoying little brother dynamic, Shadow Milk absolutely loves to taunt and annoy Mystic Flour because their reactions are priceless to them. Mystic flour just keeps up with Shadow Milks taunts and pranks and tries alot of effort in making sure it doesn't get to them (it failed, Eternal Sugar had to hold Mystic Flour back from crumbling Shadow Milk).

Eternal Sugar and Mystic Flour: the tired responsible older sisters of the group, they keep questioning why the Witches made them work with the others.

Shadow Milk and Silent Salt: Secret Crush, mainly on Shadow Milk's side. (Look they are purelily counterparts i couldn't help it they'd be so cute Energetic chaotic lover and quiet chill lover i will die for this)

Burning Spice and Shadow Milk: two idiots that share a braincell, whenever they are together you bet they are that audio: "Wanna do something foolish?" "Do you even have to ask?"
