all of these situations are horrific beyond belief. these people are living every day under constant threat of bombing, starvation, lack of shelter, and rapidly spreading disease. the fabric of their daily lives has been completely destroyed. they have lost their homes, seen their loved ones and neighbors slaughtered, had their studies and careers indefinitely suspended. the courage to reach out to absolute strangers for help, in the face of such immense uncertainty, is incredible. in the west we should feel the disproportionate weight of our currency and our attention which has been purchased in blood, and we need to make use of both as best we can. please take a moment and give even 5 dollars or euros to one of these campaigns.

So hopefully by this time, you've seen what's going on in Gaza and you want to help but you're not sure how.

Meet Omar and his family of 6!

Omar is one of four Gen Z brothers. They are listed on Operation Olive Branch's mutual aid Master List, and they are line 602.

If you are new to mutual aid - this means their need has been verified by Operation Olive Branch and I have personally been in touch with Omar through TikTok and he is aware that I will be posting on various social media platforms.

Omar is 22 years old this year. His brother, Mohamed (25), is the one organizing the GoFundMe and works as a videographer and video editor. Their other brothers are Hatim (20) and Mahmod, who just turned 19.

They live with their parents, Hazim and Samaher, but have lost their grandfather from a bombing. Mohamed has also lost all of his videography equipment due to the ongoing attacks.

So, what can you do to help?

1. Share this post! The links are LIVE for the Operation Olive Branch spreadsheet (line 602) as well as their GoFundMe.

2. Donate what you can - even $1 helps if we can get a ton of people to pitch in. They are ~$25,000 USD away from their goal to evacuate the whole family from Gaza. Almost there!!

3. I will be posting on other platforms like TikTok and Instagram and will update those links in a separate post when that's done.

4. Follow Omar on TikTok and/or Instagram and share his posts from your platforms there as well!

Time is of the essence as Omar has relayed that the army is evacuating the border areas in Rafah, which is near where they are right now (as seen in screenshot below).
