Outlaw! Bakugou who can't bring himself to tell you he loves you, forcing himself to be content with his fingers brushing against yours when he's guiding you through a rough town, or your body pressed back against his chest when he shows you how to use a rifle.

He often dreamt of what it would be like to kiss you, to hold you late at night, to lay you down beneath him in the grass. 

He'd never act on it, though. He knows what this life- his life- does to folk, knows how it turns them hard and cold inside. And the last thing he wants is to watch it turn you. He promises himself that the first chance he gets, he'll leave you behind somewhere safe. And every time that opportunity passes, he finds himself vowing next time, for sure. 

But still, he dreams. Dreams of what that first kiss could be like. What you'd feel like, taste like. 

Not once did he imagine it like this. 

You taste like mud and river water, your skin cold as the current he'd dragged you out of mere moments ago. Water streams down his face and into his eyes as he pinches your nose shut and seals his mouth over yours again, blurring his sight as he breathes fresh air into your lungs. 

It takes longer than it should, but finally, finally, your eyes fly open and your chest heaves as dark river water spews from your mouth, splashing his cheeks as he pulls back just enough to let you suck in air in great, choking sobs.

He swears he's never heard such a beautiful sound, relief flooding his veins as you breathe on your own again.

His hands remain on you, supporting you as you roll over and vomit, brushing through your hair as he murmurs words of comfort. He's panting too, still trying to replenish his own supply of air from where he'd forced it down your throat, but you're both alive, at least for now. 

He replays it in his mind for the rest of the afternoon. How one second, you were carefully picking your way across the river on the back of your horse, and the next, there was a loud splash, and your horse was scrambling up the bank past him.

Without you. 

He'd only turned his back for half a second, and in that half a second, the river had tried to take you from him, dragging you under. 

He swears he's never looking away again.

Alright, alright, I have this little crossover idea of sorts!

Trigun is an anime in the world of MHA, and reader is crushing on Vash the Stampede. Reader has the manga, the anime on Blu-ray, figures, a plush...

How would Izuku, Bakugou, and Mirio react to their crush having a thing for Vash, who is fictional? Would they possibly get jealous, wondering what it is about him they like so much? :3

[ I love this cross-over idea. Fuck yeah! You know, it's funny. I wrote a few headcanons between the BNHA boys and them having a plushie a long time ago. I think the reader being obsessed with a fictional character, Vash in this case, is awesome and quite relatable. I honestly have to say I'm in love with Vash from the 1998 animated series, he is just so cool and I'm also currently reading the manga which is just mind-blowing. ]

His words were stolen from him when he entered your room to see endless amounts of manga, plushies, and even figurines of Vash the Stampede. Although given his collection of All Might merchandise, he knew he couldn't judge. But he also couldn't stop himself from feeling the tiniest bit jealous.

"W-what is it about t-that guy that makes them a-admire him…so much?" He asked after successfully convincing you to allow him to borrow the Blu-ray Trigun Stampede series collection you had. He didn't understand why you liked the characteristics Vash displayed but nonetheless jotted them down in his notebook as he watched.

Unfortunately, the attempts to display the same characteristics he saw to capture your attention were unsuccessful, and honestly, he felt a little pathetic about trying to be someone he wasn't. Plus, the look on your face made him feel like a bigger idiot than he was.

"I d-don't know what I was thinking…" he whined, pressing his head against his desk. "Will they…l-like me like they do V-Vash?" It was pitiful to think he was jealous of a fictional character.

"Perhaps you are approaching the problem incorrectly," Tenya suggested. "While the feeling of affection can extend to…fictional aspects, I'm certain that Y/n is aware of reality and will look at you the way you desire as long as you remain yourself." He wasn't sure how much faith he put in Tenya's words but knew he was right. Comparing himself to Vash wasn't going to get him anywhere.

Accepting something was the hardest thing but given that he was once the quirkless boy who dreamed of being a hero, he would face this issue the same way. He could accept it but not for long. He'd prove he was better than Vash The Stampede and then maybe…just maybe you'd see him as your hero.

"Tch, reading a lame manga, huh!? How stupid!" He remembers those words from his middle school years, and how you would always huddle in the corner with a stupid smile as you read 'Trigun Maximum.' The thing that years later became your obsession.

"What the hell is all this shit!?" He demanded. "This is worse than that damn Deku's room!" You had shelves filled with manga, and Blu-rays, not to mention plushies of the same character scattered around. "You shouldn't be obsessed with fictional dumbasses that swing guns around! I'm the only badass here!" And he'd prove it.

His jaw clenched tighter and tighter whenever he was in class, hearing you go on and on about your love for Vash. How cool and handsome he is, how amazing he is in combat. Damn, he hated it. He would never admit he was jealous, but what made Vash better than him!?

"What do you mean I can't take these!?" he demanded after irrationally barging into your room and stealing your Trigun manga collection. Nevertheless, after a heated argument, he settled for reading it in your room. "What the hell is so damn great about this dumbass?" From what he could gather Vash was nothing but an outlaw with a gun.

He didn't think his jealousy would affect him just like he didn't think his feelings for you would sway him from his dream of becoming a hero. But he found himself being fueled by the hatred of your Vash The Stampede obsession. Because of this, he grew extremely cocky during training exercises. He even went as far as shouting that he was better than some stupid outlaw which you found...odd, to say the least.

It didn't take a genius to realize you were unimpressed by his attempts and criticism of your favorite character. Yet, as usual, he'd be damned if you continued to idolize someone else when he should be the one idolized by you. Whether you liked it or not, he'd be the object of your affection next.

"Heh, wow...you really like this guy." Of course, it was an obvious statement with all the Vash the Stampede plushies, and merchandise that littered your bed and shelves. He picked up one of the plushies, staring into its blue button eyes that reminded him of his own and a strange feeling made his stomach twist. Was he feeling insecure?

"Oh, is that Vash the Stampede?" Nejire asked, pointing to the plushie Mirio held. "Huh, wait you know about him!?" He exclaimed. "Yeah, I-" He grasped her shoulders before she could finish. "What do you like about him!?" He demanded, and although Nejire didn't have a solid answer she settled for Vash's bravery and caring for others.

While Mirio was happy that he shared some favorable characteristics with Vash the Stampede, he still struggled to think of how to get your attention while respecting your love for the fictional character. How could you view him as you did Vash? Of course, he could never tell you who you could and couldn't love, but gosh wouldn't it be amazing if you did love him?

"So, what do you think!?" Mirio demanded with a bright smile. He was dressed in a red trench coat and orange glasses, the key pieces of clothing Vash wore. "You like Vash, right? I sure look like him now, wouldn't you agree sunshine?" To see your eyes light up when you looked at him, even in the silly little cosplay he was wearing, meant the world to him.

He convinced you to hang out with him and took you to a special area resembling the setting where the Trigun show took place. It was part of a beach, with endless sand everywhere. He wanted to impress you while respecting your feelings, and maybe make you have feelings for him. Overall, your reaction was so-so.

Despite his jealousy, and his somewhat successful attempts at trying to sway your attention away from Vash the Stampede and onto him, he wanted you to be happy. "Heh, who knows, maybe I will be their Vash someday!" Until then, he'd just keep smiling.

Gun Slinger! Bakugou who swears he hates ya but always patrols your land first cause aint no one hurting you + he likes running into ya.

And ur sumth like the sheriff and they r like. Coming every few weeks and terrorising the town to try catch your eye.

And when you do catch one of them its always pointless cause they just flirt the whole damn time then break out the next morning leaving u a little sumth until you meet again.

Dear lord imagine going out of town to visit a friend and you run into outlaw!Shinso and Outlaw! Monoma (lucky u) who dont take you seriously cause cmon darling you dont look like you could put them away if you tried your hardest. (They're on horse and u dont have ur gun, dont blame urself hun.)

They patronises you and kinda ruin ur whole ego because they were rlly mean :( and what if your not a good sheriff ?? What if ur rlly r just a stand in for the real heros?? Was this really worth wearing that stupid star if no one respects you?? "Well sweet's if ya want respect, me and my friend here can show ya what its like to be worshipped" Cut to Outlaw!Izu coming round to tease ya only to find the sheriff's office thingy empty. Weird, your usually on time everyday. Well it has been a few weeks since he's seen you, maybe your schedule changed . He's not very phased, instead deciding to stir up some trouble to try lure you out. Well an hour into robbing the bank and still nothing. He taps his foot impatiently, checking his non existent watch as he huffs, bags of cash in hand as he waits by the door for you to burst in. Another hour passes and by now his hostages are litterally snoring. He's decided he's had enough cursing under his breath as he throws the cash back at the sleeping receptionist because and I quote- "Aint no fun when theyre not here." Cry baby storms out the entrance and kicks the dirt around for abit before calling his horse. Now cut to a few hours later where Bakugou comes storming in only for the receptionist to groan and say- "Pack it up buck they're out of town" Yells and cusses them out for a second before turning his ass around dramatically (his coat thingy swooshing a lil too) doing the same door slam thing. Later that night they both bump into each other at the saloon only to be informed that you were supposed to return home last week, a few days later its printed everywhere in the papers. "Local Sheriff Gone Missing"

I know damn well Outlaw!Cowboy!Izuku wouldnt make me feel like shit w/ other ppl. He listens. I know he told me himself. So because he told me heres some cowboy word vommit. Because I felt like shit tonight lmao!!!

He's so nice too. He would never talk down to you, well sometimes but he means well!! He likes to hear you rant, even if its angry incoherent thoughts spewing from your mouth. He doesn't care, he wants to hear you speak, just you <3 Sometimes he since he's not rlly supposed to be around ya, he will find ways.

Man's pulls up in a milk man outfit and you have to patiently ask if he bought the milk or if you have to put him back in his cell. "C'mon darlin its just some milk!! And plus, I know you missed me." He's smiling at you with the stupid lopsided grin as he confidently puffs out his chest in declaring you missed him. Which is true but how tf he know that?- Yk what who cares. "Go put back the milk." "But-!" "No but's Deku." He's literally sulking, eyes to the floor as he pouts turning to reluctantly give the milk man back his delivery, and clothes ig :(( BUT THEN "And hurry back, it's my day off and as far as I'm concerned, my property is off the towns border." "Meaning?" "Meaning, if your fast enough your food will still be hot" He RUNS. Like literally little cloud of smoke in the shape of him and everything. When he gets back he realizes you weren't joking. Whole home cooked meal and everything. (If u cant cook than imagine u got horse uber eats or sumth??)

He's vry grateful, even plants a lil kiss on the top of ur head when he walks in. To which you promptly try to ignore in hopes of not making a fool of urself. He probably thinks he's dreaming cause if it were up to him he wouldn't leave. Screw breaking the law he wants to break out a ring and get down on one knee. Hehe I love him. But lets not keep the others waiting shall we? Now Izuku wants to stay but you tell him he needs to scram cause u have things to be doing. He's understanding, bidding you farewell before heading into town to do whatever. So here u are, alone, doing ur thing. When all of a sudden u hear knocking. Weird. You decide to ignore it and eventually it stops. It's not until someone comes running to your door, banging down the door screaming that someone is running around town shooting in the center and I quote this next bit- "Telling 'extra's' to come out and fight him like a man" Yea safe to say u know who this is. So being so nice u head into town ON UR DAY OFF TOO to sort out this mess. And there he is, standing on a barrel in the middle of town is Dynamight, gun out and pointing at what your assuming is some poor bystander. Now you know Bakugou. And as fond of the blonde as you may be, your not the type of person to allow violence, ESSP in ur own town outside ur damn office. So you do something about it. Now he's yelling and cussin all over the place unaware of you standing directly behind him. You don't bother to try gain his attention, instead pressing the cool barrel of your gun to his back. Even through his thick coat he knows that pressure, that familiar sense is one that's not so easily shaken. He goes silent, mouth turned up despite the drying sensation in his throat. He lowers his gun, chucking it to the side. "Took you long enough." The town goes silent watching as the blonde menace steps down from his makeshift throne while you cuff him. Mind u he's smirking during the whole thing. Izuku is watching this from the bar, rolling his eye whole you throw Bakugou in his cell. Stupid sillies. AN- this has been rotting in my drafts for like a week so here. It is vry unfinished but idc lmao
