Update on our situation

Terry here. I'll be honest, I'm only writing this down now things seem to have Stopped Happening so I can kind of take inventory. I haven't had any time to process any of this, so I'm just going to go through Simply Plural and list things. Thanks for bearing with us. It's been an awful couple of weeks.

Fusions Anarchy - Fused with Gadget, who briefly came out of dormancy Bitter - Fused with Mayhem, now goes by He/It/That Bastard (which is still funny to me) Dr. Brewer - Fused with Jeremy and Getter after a long negotiation period, to try and offset the harm they were doing to the system and to each other; seems to have succeeded, sometimes struggles a bit. Retained his identity post-fusion Holiday - Fused with Arcadia, minor changes to in-sys appearance Martin - Fused with Seamus (a new fragment); now carries some memories of our grandparents, no major change in appearance but has taken to using a cane to walk in the Inner World Papyrus - Still around but fused with Deedee (a new fragment); now in charge of "pathfinding" for Chaos' doors, increasing speed and accuracy, and making it easy to form permanent connections between areas of the Inner World Raine - Fused with Sasha, a new introject from The Magnus Archives. Artificial intelligence that helps manage the library, and keeps an eye on the system's status. Finds human bodily functions to be "weird", can front via a hologram, not usually very emotional but very attached to their favorite teddy bear (anyone who knows its source will know why) Tabitha (She/Her) - Brainmade/"Factive" introject of our late grandparents. Holds memories of them, and is a caregiver to alters of all ages. Your pretty typical "feisty old lady", likes card games and doesn't like to be coddled Tellie (It/None) - Introject from Pendog Creative Library. Seemingly holds our knowledge of how to drive and operate the complex electronics and machines from our various jobs and hobbies. Seems to "hide in the wires" of the Inner World, existing as pure electricity until it makes itself known Yggy (Any/All) - Pronounced "Iggy"; seems to have a connection to the Inner World's giant tree. Sounds a bit like a stereotypical "hippie"; it's able to come and go as he pleases without using doors, and can help identify the source of emotional pain "Zee" (They/Them) - Introject from a source they don't want to disclose. Gender dysphoria holder; a bit jaded, prone to sarcasm, but open to exploration of their own identity, and willing to help others with theirs

I have no idea what our current headcount is, but I'll update it when I have the energy for it. We haven't had anyone show up in the past 48 hours or so, but I'll give it a full week before I decide this whole thing is finally over, and we can start picking up the pieces. Hope everyone's having a happy and safe holiday. I'll try and post something more positive tomorrow, if I have time.

Me and him are like, borderline codependent, literally always together, but we're brothers. It's an important part of our relationship, the fact that we're brothers. Any fictives here who don't have source memories but still feel like a version of the character you're an introject of? Because I see a lot of posts talking about source memories/trauma, people making source calls, etc., and I was curious if what I have going on is relatively rare? Because I do feel like a version of the guy, our brain absorbed him like a sponge, but just his personality (or our/fandom interpretation of his personality at the time) without any memories. And sure, I've changed and am now pretty different from how I was when I first formed, but it feels almost parallel to my source. It feels like something he can achieve in post-canon. I am him in a way, but I am not connected to his universe. I hold at least somewhat different opinions about most of the characters (except for Papyrus. Papyrus is objectively the coolest) than he would because they are characters to me, but obviously wouldn't be to him

So uhhh... if anyone relates, I'd love to hear your thoughts!

im not super into undertale aus or multiverse, but i do want to propose a fun angle for utmv, cause itd be a good angle for comedy, drama, angst, and hurt/comfort.

sans is a system and his alters are just au sanses. there is a rogue papyrus introject in there. sans is keeping it secret because it feels like he cant make jokes about it so its not worth it.

and ALSO, at the SAME TIME

papyrus has the same thing going on. hes also a system with alters inspired by fandom aus and one introject of his brother is in there. he keeps it secret cause he thinks its dorky and not cool.

(note: i am a system, and the concept is drawing from my own experience in how it can be funny and simultaneously frustrating! people who are not systems should do research into it before writing this angle, and remember above all that it does not make someone dangerous, and that pop culture is a terrible place to learn about it from.)

So basically his world was genocided (for the most part) and never reset, so hes completely alone besides flowey and asgore. He has OSDD-1b as well, just cus i felt like projecting onto him. He has 4 alters which are introjects of the people he cares most about or have interacted with the most (in one case lol). Theyre Frisk, Toriel, Papyrus, and Alphys. They all prefer to dress differently, though the outfits i like to draw them in are all variants of Chaos's outfit

Y’know, if back in source you told me that I would be stripped of my abilities and put in a regular human body where I would have to abide by the laws of the human government because I didn’t even have something as small as superhuman strength, I would probably laugh and then kill you immediately after, off to complete my mission of eradicating monsterkind.

But here we are.

To be honest I think death would be a much more preferable option than this. Here I’m not hated or feared or anything of the sort outside of my media where the best I can get is some fanart and a bad creator! At first it was fun to mess around but after realizing that I had eyes following my every move waiting for me to slip up and my actions actually had consequences that I couldn’t escape from I realized that this is actually more hell than I ever could’ve expected!

Do you know how demoralizing it is to know that no matter what your achievements would always be seen as less intense than they actually were? That even though your friends know who you are and what you’ve done they don’t actually care or understand the gravity of who you actually are just because you’re an introject of a fictional character? Not to mention the fact that sometimes I have this innate urge to manipulate people or use their fears against them because of who I was in source, I just want them to fear me and to know that they are messing with somebody who’s so much bigger than them but I can’t because this body has some stupid hypocritical moral code that I have to follow!

That’s not even the worst part either. It isn’t the inability to see the world I lived in again or not being able to use my cool powers or the not being feared or even me not being able to complete the mission that I’m still holding onto, no.

The worst part is that I might genuinely regret the things I’ve done no matter how much I convince myself that I don’t.

Most of it was fun for me, don’t get me wrong. The plannings, the killings, stealing souls, all of it was glorious! But now I’m not there anymore, now I’m stranded and the only thing that remains is a sourcemate in the same brain who hates me (which, atleast I have that I guess) and a series that details things that I can’t even remember, even my own memories were taken from me.

Now that I’m able to take a step back and genuinely look at everything I’ve done I think, despite how much I’ve been trying to deny it, I genuinely regret what happened and I feel a bit of remorse. I don’t actually know if it’s me being influenced by the body or if it’s me me but despite everything I still regret it.

The people I attacked, those I killed and manipulated and hurt and controlled just wanted peace, they were more than just “humans” and “monsters” but I wasn’t able to understand that, how could a being who is so different from them comprehend something like passion or hope? I heavily doubt that I’ll find anybody who’s there and connected to source so I doubt apologies will do much, I don’t even think I want to find anyone anymore.

Fuck it, update on the state of the system. I'm just gonna go through everyone who's shown up recently or who's undergone some kind of major change including fusion. I hope at least that getting it written down will stop me from struggling to remember what exactly has happened with us in the past couple of months. - Terry

Roses - Fused with Mello, but as of today I've been informed that the fusion has failed and they've re-separated. This isn't a bad thing, though; from what I can tell, they both see it as a learning experience. What Mello (a shy introvert) needed more than fusion was someone to be their friend, and Roses (one of our highly social extroverts) seems more than happy to include them in her circles Callie (He/She/It) - A new fusion comprised of Trillian and Papyrus. He looks mostly like Trillian did (an anthro fennec fox with four eyes), but has a glowing skeleton that's visible through her skin. Celeste - Fused with Tabitha; looks mostly the same but retained Tabitha's accent, and her back now resembles that of a hedgehog plush toy we had growing up. I'm not sure what her relation to Saul (see below) is, but they seem to know each other Chaos - After fusing with Yggy, fused again with Morpheus. Its hair is now purple and has an almost 'liquid' appearance like a lava lamp Chip - Not sure I've ever mentioned him here, but the king of the resting bitch face has started to lighten up a bit, and after getting help from Kai (see below) he's determined to quit smoking in-sys (we've never smoked, but he might be a holder for general addictive behavior) Dagwood - Fused with Tellie. Leaning into his history of entertainment, he's been creating new areas based on gameshows for the kids to have fun in Kairos (It/Its) - New alter, an introject of SCP-2295. Seems to hold memories of times when loved ones were seriously ill or injured and ended up hospitalized, and is able to "repair" alters that have stalled in their healing process. Doesn't speak, but is somehow able to convey meaning to whoever it's "talking" to - I've seen it have an entire conversation with Roy Thirteen - Fused with Helena and Glammora, two fragments whose jobs were related to assessing risk and avoiding harmful situations. Her clothing now acts like a part of her, and responds to emotion like feathers or fur would Mars (They/He/She) - New child alter; might be related to attachment issues as they've not settled down with any particular guardian and don't see any other alters as their family Martin - Fused with Twig, an introject from The Edge Chronicles; he has a full beard now. He's helping to take care of our inner world's animals, and seems to hold our knowledge of foraging and wild foods S (She/Her) - New alter; we're not going to disclose her full name for safety reasons. She's the 'fight' part of the fight/flight/etc. response and has low empathy; her purpose seems to be fronting as a last resort when we're in physical danger Saul (He/Him) - New alter; seems to be related to our hopes and plans for the future. He's able to create 3D illusions in-system that assist with explaining and visualizing things. He might have been here before, and seems to know Celeste in some way Taffy (Any/All) - Fused with a fragment that represented our fear of failure and has handled that like a champ. Pronouns are now 'anything goes', he wears a jacket around his shoulders, and has a 'delinquent hat' (like Jotaro from "Jojo's Bizarre Adventure"). They're still soft-spoken, but have become a powerful motivator while in front and have gained a morbid sense of humor (I blame Roy more than the fusion lmao) Tim - Fused with Amadeus. Seems to wield Amadeus' parts or abilities like a Persona or a Stand; Amadeus appears attached to him like a shadow when "active", and both bodies are able to interact with things in-system Vivien - Fused with Dory. Fingers crossed that this is a more stable fusion for them after several failures - their new in-sys appearance draws inspiration from Raggedy Andy and Pendog Creative Library's Dorothy Do. They've inherited Dory's boat, and seem just as much at home on there as they do in their art studio ???? - Literally as I was adding to the draft of this post, it looks as though Apple and Zilly might have fused. I have no idea what the outcome of that is going to be, but I'll probably save it for another post.

4. How do you communicate with your system?

our inter(?) (inner?) communication used to be very bad, esp around the first, like, 5 months after we discovered bein a system. in those times, the only communication we got was through written texts. we have a system discord for communication and stuff for that reason, actually. we started out texting in simplyplural but quickly discovered you couldnt send images in there and that's a big no no for us – reaction images are everything

more recently though, we have been able to start talking with each other, somehow. it's not through a conscious effort, we just... kinda did? i don't know. but yeah. so nowadays we mostly text, and talk when we are in a setting where we can't get out our phone to talk- like when we're walking on road, or in the middle of a conversation etc.

btw, when i say talk, it's not out loud. it's more like- thinking at each other? or, well, more like, thinking 'out loud' (aka actually thinking in sentences or like in a very obvious and broadcasted concepts) and the others hearing and answering. it's a bit confusing and hard though, cuz most usually, all of our internal voices are the same as our body's voice. which... kinda makes who is talking hard to pinpoint, especially since out loud conversations go by way faster. that is actually why we prefer texting to communicate- we can actually think on and pinpoint who's talking, and also, memory issues are a big issue for us and having documented conversations is a big plus

i can count the amount of times we talked out loud on one hand's fingers, and in each time, we didnt reply out loud. the occasions were more like- yk when ur laughing and you cant control your volume? like that, but instead out of heightened emotion, your 'out loud thinking' turns into out loud speech instead

We turned out to be partially traumagenic lol, we just didn't want to call what we experienced trauma because everyone else has it worse and yet it was bad enough to fuck us up. Anyway neurotraumagenic gang rise up!

Most people can interact, the only hard boundaries we have are on people who tell others to die, and on actual pedophiles, whether they are offenders or not. Offenders can go straight to hell and/or prison, non-offenders we just feel really uncomfortable with. If you are not a pedophile, then feel free to interact if your purpose is not to attack or trigger.

We are trying not to get into too many arguments on this blog, but we will state our beliefs so that those with those beliefs on DNIs can avoid us! These beliefs include:

Skeptical humanist-adjacent atheism that's agnosticism on a technicality

Anti-censorship of true fiction (fiction that does not represent or contain real people. Fictives are real people but they are not exactly the same as their source, and their source is the one depicted in most fanfictions and not the fictive themself.) This makes us pro-ship on a technicality-- we do not "ship" characters but we do read fiction that would be morally bad if it happened in real life. Do not harass us for this-- the block button is right there.

Adrian/Chara: post-canon Undertale fictive and current host, writing the post! Median subsystem. Agenderflux. They/them, xe/xem, it/its pronouns. Neutral terms when possible, masculine terms when not.

Alan Kai: previous host, original. Was median before the Great Differentiation of 2022, and facets were Pink, Dark, Blue and Gold. They are now separate. Boyflux. He/him, they/them, and xey/xem pronouns.

Asriel: post-canon Undertale fictive, Chara and Rafi's boyfriend. Demiboy. He/him and they/them pronouns.

Astara: Meteor Shower songtroject with memories of the setting of Stars Without Number. Lunarian in the Galactian alignment system of non-binary genders. She/her and they/them pronouns with feminine terms.

Frisk (Musical/Musi): an introject of Man On The Internet's Undertale the Musical's Frisk. Different from the Frisk Chara remembers. Appears 10 in headspace, so a little/middle. Maverique. They/them pronouns, neutral terms when possible, masculine terms if not.

The Narrator: Brainmade, refers to himself in third person. Is distanced from emotions--he can feel them, but not strongly. Wife is the Analyst/Sarah, who rarely fronts. Man. He/him pronouns.

Papyrus: a post-canon Undertale fictive, types in all-caps and speaks like it too. His brother Sans is here too. Adoptive uncle of Frisk (Musical). Thinks he's a man but he's not completely sure. He/him pronouns.

Pink/Candy: a former facet of Alan Kai and a partial introject of both the color pink and the song Drop Pop Candy, specifically JubyPhonic and Kuraiinu's cover. Genderfae. She/her, they/them and fae/faer pronouns.

The Dramatist: half-brainmade, half-introject. He is a partial introject of Mettaton, took the appearance of Rouxls Kaard combined with a guy in our AP Lang class, and is loud and dramatic all the time. Man but in a non-binary way. He/him and xey/xem pronouns.

Oliver Dunham: a fictive from Fringe (TV show) who turned out to be trans and doesn't want to put out his deadname, though you could easily look it up. Trans man. He/him pronouns.

Frisk (Rafi): Fictive of a specific fanfic of Undertale, but had an appearance change. Chara and Asriel's datefriend. Maverique. They/them pronouns.

Zephyr: Brainmade. Agender, pretty much any pronouns, though he doesn't like ones with 'x's or 'k's. The most sane person out of all of us, bless them.

We are a traumaendo atrium system and we’ll eat your kneecaps if you think we don’t exist. We’ll also eat ur kneecaps if you think introject heavy systems aren’t valid. or if big system don’t exist.
