In the VFX class I'm auditing the professor showed us all how to do a small spinning light effect in class, and then expected us to know how to create a dust devil with vertical spinning tunnel of particles based only on that. When we've never used the system.

Another alum is in the class and also has not managed to get a working effect.

Instantly lost respect for the professor when I asked in class if he'd be giving feedback or a demo and he said he wouldn't because it would be, "giving us all the answers."

I discovered Warehouse 13 while going through various things Kate Mulgrew did. I watched her episodes and that would have been that, except I found the concept of the show interesting, so I eventually (recently) got around to watching the whole thing. The numerous Star Trek references are great, but naming Kate’s character Jane, turning Jeri Ryan’s character into a queen bee with drones, and having a character refer to someone as Commander Data in an episode Brent Spiner was in is just iconic.

I’m trying to complete the mastery challenges in Assassins Creed Valhalla. I have gold in literally every challenge except the one where you must exclusively aerially assassinate the targets and the most vexing part is that I’d have beaten it several times if the fucking game mechanics worked.

So for instance if I put two enemies to sleep but they’re too close to each other I cannot assassinate either of them. And if for instance one enemy is asleep and another is standing over the prone body I just need Eivor to target the one who’s not unconscious but this is asking too much and twice I attacked only for the alert enemy to move and for Eivor to launch herself at the sleeping enemy, blowing my cover.

Which is how I came to be quietly hissing at my TV at 10pm saying “Eivor you absolute doorknob,” trying to get her to target the right fucking man.

I love getting to hear spite's comments on other spirits and magic in general. like YES my excellent little guy give me the inside scoop here I am so down for this hot goss every time girl tell me everything!!!
