Helluva Boss Season Finale

So a homophobic client shows up and tells IMP to kill her husband for leaving her for a man and cheating (possibly.) IMP attempt to try and kill him but then Blizto can't do it cause of his feefees and cause he sees himself in that man. Forget that Blizto has killed many people for petty reasons before (Spring Broken is a good example, he literally killed tons of random people, many of which were probably gay, just because of a bet) and forget that he chastised Moxxie for doing the exact same thing (weird how Mox didn't bring that up honestly) NO, you can't criticize this gay man because he's so cute and gay. That's the message Viv is sending.

The moral of this episode is that if you criticize Stolas and Blizto's relationship, you're homophobic. Wowww... Just wow!

It couldn't possibly be because these two have absolutely no chemistry and only know eachother because of sex. It couldn't possibly be because Stolas made a creepy and predatory deal with Blizto. It couldn't possibly be because Stolas is a terrible person who lied to his daughter and is written terribly. Forget that Stolas risked his life for his fuck buddy when he should have stayed with his daughter. Forget that Blizto never wanted a serious relationship until now just because that's what the writers want. Forget everything I said and just sit back and watch Blizto and Stolas dance on the balcony since it's the only thing Viv cares about.

Stolizt is the only thing Viv cares about. That's what this episode proves once and for all. Their relationship is the only thing that had any meaningful continuity in season 1. Everything else was episodic material.

Maybe in Season 3 we'll focus on other things but it won't make up for the trainwreck of a Season this was.

Now, because I don't just want to be negative, let me talk about how this Season could have been 1000 times better. Let me offer a fix.

This Season would have been great if it split it's screen time 70-30 between the IMP stuff and the Stolas stuff. Let every member of IMP shine in their own episode. It's not like there isn't enough time. Explore Millie's prejudice against Hellhounds (cause we all know she doesn't respect Hellhounds.) Explore Millie's wrath and how it might help and hinder her. It might lead to devastating consequences depending on who she chooses to fight and why. Shoot first and ask questions later is not a good principle and I feel like that's exactly what she does. Have Loona and Via actually hang out! Show us how her timidness and introversion make that relationship start off rocky. Show us how she changes from a person who can barely hold a conversation in the Queen Bee episode to a person that would have a bunch of friends over for Sinsmas. That development WAS. NOT. THERE!!

Have Moxxie actually confront his fears. It looked like he was about to fight his dad but then he got tazed and his wife did all the work. Why? Have him stand up to Blizto finally and make Blizto respect him. Cause Blizto does not respect him. Look at the way he talks to him in Season 2 and tell me this is respectful. Plus, in the episode Truth Seekers he only congratulated Moxxie for killing well. That's it. He respects the work he does but not who he is as a person. That could have been explored in Season 2. That would have been a great arc.

As for Blizto show more of his relationship between him and his sister. Blizto brought Barbie up again in the finale and it sounds like they really want us to care about her character but she wasn't even in the flashback episode. In order to fix the flashback episode, get rid of Stolas! Don't make a flashback that includes Stolas at all. Just make it about life in the circus performing with Blizto, Barbie and Fizz.

And instead of a giant special episode about Fizz and his terrible boss how about an episode dedicated to Stolas and Via's relationship. Why not write a song about how they've lived their lives over the years. Show us what it was like to BE her.

I'm getting tired of writing now. I hope you enjoyed reading this, at least a little.

Bruce: Should I let this go?

He tossed the pen over his shoulder.

Bruce: Should I be the bigger person?

Bruce tossed that over his shoulder next.

Bruce: Should I be petty?

In the cup.

In the cup. Dick entered the batcave after a mission in Gotham, spotting his father venting.

Dick (curious): Um, why are you doing that?

Bruce (flatly to remain calm): The JLA thought a few of my villains in my city that I told them to not involve themselves in, were responsible for the demons being released from the Necronomicon. Even though I told them to let me handle it. Which. I. Did. Found out who did in fact steal the book and was going to tell them.

Bruce tossed a pen over his shoulder for the question of "should I let this transgression go?"

Bruce: Clark, Barry and Diana went behind my back and tried to throw Harley, Ivy, Harvey, and Oswald into the fucking Phantom Zone under the assumption they were responsible for the demons unleashed. You know even though I told them that made no sense, the only one who could maybe do that is the Joker who's in a coma after I punched him so hard his jaw broke and that this is my city. They did this... without my knowledge.

Dick (surprised): Oh... oh wow.

Bruce tossed another pen over his shoulder.

Bruce: Yeah, luckily Harley texted me in time. We have each other's numbers, and I made it in time. So in retaliation, I cut the power off at the JLA headquarters and won't be talking to them until they apologize. So should I be petty?

Bruce dropped a pencil in the cup with a satisfied smile.

Bruce (grabbing a broke pen): Should I be the bigger person?

Bruce yeeted another pen over his shoulder. Dick crossed his arms for a second, then grabbed a pen out of the cup.

Dick: Should you let this go?

Dick tossed the pen over his shoulder then walked off, patting his father on the shoulder.

Bruce (monotone, but proud): I knew I raised him right.

Totally random but I regularly think about the fact that The Seven in Heroes of Olympus didn’t have a healer/medic. Like, they knew this was an important quest, and that it was going to be a long quest, and they basically went “so, let’s have 7 fighters, 3 of which are leaders :)” Which seems like a horrible plan.

(I know this wasn’t the characters faults, I just think it was a slightly odd writing choice from Rick)

because it's becoming embarrassing that I still did not make one. I have a general idea how to write first chapter soooo let's make this a WORLD BUILDING post.

Due Darcy's powers being so closely oriented around mind and need of control of emotions it was quickly noticed that the best way to re socialize her is to start separating her from 'bad influence'. Because of that when Darkar arrived Darcy was either in library ( good behavior perk) or in the individual therapy session that each Trix needed to attend.

After Darkar it was deemed necessary to remove Darcy and place her somewhere else as Light Rock was no longer a safe place to keep prisoners. Alfea was the first choice. Before leaving the special golden bracelets where put on her. Something like this:

As to keep her powers in check. The only magic that Darcy poses in this AU is Aura seeing, Mind reading if she looks into someone's eyes and being able to see in the dark. Nothing else.

In such manner Darcy joins the Winx and Specialists in their escapades. We see their dynamics, we learn more about Darcy and as something that also is going on in the background besides the plot of season 2 is this:

Bilbo grabbed onto his upper arm quite without thinking, determined to help, then paused and stared at his hand when it didn’t pass through Thorin like it always had. He flexed his fingers, marvelling at the warm skin and solid muscles beneath.

“This is new,” Bilbo said softly, the threat of the garden momentarily forgotten.

“Not disappointing, I hope.” Thorin’s voice still sounded raspy from disuse, but his tone was gentle, almost reverent.

“No.” Bilbo smiled when he met Thorin’s eyes again. “Hello.”

Thorin easily returned his smile as he covered Bilbo’s hand with his own. “Hello, Master Baggins.”

One of the reasons I’ve made RFTS!Star nonverbal in my rewrite is because he would be swearing profanities left and right if I didn’t.

tangle is so fun because she is a juxtaposition of something collected and contained with something loose and free and in motion

she’s a rough brawler but she has a stance and a style. she’s impulsive and thrillseeking, but she wraps her arms in sports tape to protect them, a precaution. she longs for adventure and action but she will always need to come to rest at home with friends. she’s bouncy and restless, but she’s an intent listener and considerate. she’s got months of off-and-on experience fighting badniks, but is still so new to real Adventure.

and while there’s plenty of traits sonic and tangle share, you can’t reduce her to ‘girl sonic’ without neglecting something of her own characterization. she fundamentally wants something different out of life than sonic does, because she doesn’t need to be anchorless; she isn’t a backpacker, sleeping somewhere new every night. she’s more like a goose, or a frigate bird; flying free for ages and ages, knowing she wants to go somewhere, until time comes to call her back to her origin.
