I think it's fun that different characters give a different time period for how long Rook was in the Fade Prison. Both because everyone's perception of time is different (and gets weird when you add grief to the mix) and because it means we can headcanon how long it took each specific Rook to get out of there based on how well we think they'd have managed their regrets

I hate the spider so much but he was so right to laugh in that moment. Like I’m going to be honest he was totally right to laugh at Yu. Who would not do that in the same position??? Dumbass.

also, I'm so convinced Adachi is trying to either kill Yu or snare him in jail. Because Adachi tells him that he better pick up the phone, but anyone who’s used a phone on a train knows that the internet service can plummet within it. I think Adachi was waiting to call him once he knew Yu was in the tunnel so he could go “hey everyone so guess which dipshit destroyed the only evidence we have :D” more likely just imprison him because he’d be harder to kill due to being an active and knowledgeable Persona user.

It actually makes me love my fellow players even more. Because when Adachi accidentally leaked that he was the Midnight Channel Killer I cannot tell you how hard I was laughing. I can show you though. It's on record. But I think the rest of the reveal is way too good with Kanji, Teddie, Naoto and me especially laying on the pressure.

I am surprised Adachi’s Ending is even an option, but I can make sense of it from what I know of Yu’s character if it’s because Yu was really attached to Adachi and wanted to see if he could gain his trust to help him, well, be better and get better… which…

Also Adachi’s laughing sprite is surprisingly unsettling and I think it’s because his mouth is much wider than a human’s lips naturally go back to, making him look really uncanny…

OH so i actually might have some insider info on that one. vaopera hasn't made a season announcement anywhere as far as i can tell but my friend claims to have the scoop, and given the level of detail he relayed to me i think it's reasonably credible. he says that next season will be la cenerentola, intelligence (by heggie and scheer, of moby dick fame), and aida. this is not confirmed in any official capacity yet, but, much to consider regardless

in my mind palace lestat’s accent was so american in 2x07 bc he wanted to remove himself from paris and the coven as much as possible. he’s not From Here he’s not With Them.

there’s something in there too about the rise of american film stars post ww2 and this super heightened idea of stardom really coming into play, and that being a super american thing at the time. lestat, who dreamed of becoming an actor, channeling these untouchable, new century celebrities kind of Does make sense. but idk how to articulate it all LMAO.

i’m just very much thinking about performance and how acting changes for the stage vs the screen, and how it’s all changed over time. the theatre using this new technology but using this old style of overdramatised commedia-esque acting that lestat was doing back when he was mortal and kind of merging those two worlds. and enter the old world vampire, who’s jarringly out of his element in a setting that is So Familiar. what’s familiar to him doesn’t matter. he’s not performing for himself. what’s familiar to the audience? the white blond haired blue eyed american film stars. so he plays That role
