You are NOT too old for Tumblr!!! You can’t leaveeeeeee!!! (Unless you want to.) I read your bio when I first clicked on your account and wasn’t put off by it.

Maybe life is all about feeling too old and fighting it at a certain point. I’m 21 and I’ve been noticing that so many actors that aren’t quite “kid actors” are still YOUNGER THAN ME??? Is that allowed? And don’t even get me started on the idea of watching a new Disney movie.

My current life situation definitely contributes to this feeling of like “I’m too old to be doing this” so I have that breakdown you’re talking about minimum weekly. Looking at the facts most people would probably guess that I’m developmentally behind my peers.

And I’m also simultaneously aware that I’m pretty young, just because 21 is the drinking age here. When I turn 22 in a few months I’m gonna officially feel like a whole ass adult and actually crash out but oh well.

Sorry to vent randomly but I related to your last post and wanted to let you know that we’re all in this together! At least the two of us are.

I don't know your facts, and of course I'm not asking for any, but what I will say is that you write like a fully developed adult- I couldn't age you at all, but I thought you were mid-late twenties! So hopefully that's a win for you.

If it helps, I didn't start feeling like an adult until I was about 28. And even now, I look at all my friends and think "wow, I am so behind you guys." I feel like a little kid a lot, which is jarring. BUT then I talk to them and they say the same thing. We're all just doing our best!

I am RIGHT THERE WITH YOU with the whole "how are these young adult actors/idols" YOUNGER THAN ME thing. And with the not watching new Disney movies. The last new Disney film I saw was Tangled? Aaaaaaaaaand a quick google tells me... that was 2010?!

Realising stuff isn't aimed at you anymore is really, really weird.

All my friends freaked out when we hit thirty, whereas my autistic brain was completely unbothered. It wasn't until a couple of years ago when I watched a new tv show and got a crush on one of the actors... only to find out that they were LITERALLY A TEENAGER.

That made me feel so, so ICKY.

I literally avoided listening to SKZ for so long because of that- I knew they weren't teenagers, but still. Younger than me.

My friends were trying to get me into SKZ ever since they found out I listened to k-pop (I'm a Gen 2 girly). My justification was Bang Chan is the same age as my BABY SISTER, I don't want to have an inappropriate crush. I also have really poor impulse control, but we'll get to that in a second.

Fun fact: I don't know if I've posted this anywhere, but I'm a baby stay. I started listening to them on the 4th of December. 2024.

I know this because it was the day the Taemin tickets came out. The venue is tiny so the chances of actually getting tickets stressed me out so bad I decided not to try and get any.

But I'd saved up the money, and I'd just finished watching Arcane, and Come Play is an absolute banger... and, like I said, my friends had been trying to get me to give in and listen...

Did I buy SKZ tickets before listening to more than three songs? (Come Play, Maniac, Chk Chk Boom)? Well, I did say I have poor impulse control 😅.

Okay, this shit has gone way too far

you've probably seen these posts going around

Well I've decided to adress these claims

TW: mentions of harrasment, mentions of the Palestinian genocide, slurs and ableist language

Unfortunately, these are all lies

Angry doesn't even begin to describe how I'm feeling rn

Not only are these people spreading lies and misinformation, they are also setting me and these people up for harassment (some of the blogs mentioned are run by literal MINORS). Not to mention that sone of these blogs (including mine) have NEVER interacted with Nirmal before.

Also it's so funny that Nirmal claims that SHE'S the one being harassed when she's out ther calling people literal SLURS (last time I checked, she called Senja an "r-slured cunt who assumes things'').

On top of this, she spreads misinformation about asks from Palestinians, claiming they're "scams". First of all, how does she even know that they're scams? Second of all, why would Palestinians send these asks just to scam people. I highly doubt victims of the ongoing genocide would beg for money just for ✨funsies✨. Not to mention her overall shitty behaviour.

So there. I really do not appreciate lies being spread about me and my friends. I genuinely hope people see the truth.

You know what maybe I’m just tired and feeling the existential dread of growing up, but actually my small, petty hill to die on is that I don’t think I will ever forgive Disney for abandoning the fairies franchise. I cannot even properly express what those movies were to me as a kid. They very well may have been my first hyperfixation. But come on beyond the sentimental value, those movies:

Encouraged kids to take an interest in nature and be nice to plants and animals.

Depicted a (mostly female) friend group that spent virtually every scene they had together onscreen building each other up and supporting each other.

Featured a female lead who is essentially a mechanical engineer, and is not treated as any less magical or important for it than her friends who can magically make flowers grow or bend light (except for the first movie wherein her feeling less magical and important is the central conflict).

Gave said female lead a “love interest,” I say in quotations because while they are definitely implied to have romantic feelings for each other, he is never called anything other than her best friend and the two of them ending up together is never treated as an urgent priority. Their friendship is incredibly important to both of them, but no one acts like it’s a problem that they’re just friends for now.

Redeemed the mean girl pretty damn successfully (in my opinion), Vidia never apologizes for most of her actions onscreen, but she does realize when she’s gone too far and makes an effort to fix her mistakes, and from that point on she is integrated into the friend group who, as I mentioned before, spend 90% of their screen time uplifting each other.

In The Lost Treasure, let Tink’s temper have consequences, a good lesson for kids in not taking their friends for granted and treating them kindly, but also teaching respect for boundaries and personal space through Terrence’s end.

In Secret of the Wings, demonstrated that sometimes rules are there for safety reasons, but you can try to think of a creative solution to do what you want while still keeping things safe for everyone.

In Legend of the Neverbeast (admittedly not the greatest movie in the series), depicted the fairies having to say goodbye to an animal companion permanently, something most kids will probably experience at some point.

Inspired a banger of an online game and several banger songs.

And what has Disney done with this franchise they spent 7 years on (longer if you count the books)?

Allowed a massive decline in quality on the last movie made (Legend of the Neverbeast) and then acted shocked when it didn’t do as well as the previous ones.

Cancelled all fairy projects after that.

Shut down the game in 2013.

Made a bunch of the songs from the soundtracks seemingly disappear off the face of the earth.

I know it doesn’t make the top 100 shitty things Disney has done, probably not even the top 1000, but I am still extremely salty about it, even though it’s been almost 10 years.
