THE MANSION: HEADCANNONS
SYPNOSIS;
my thoughts on how the Creepypasta mansion looks like, the people living in it, where it resides, how it survives, and what the residents do in general.
PUBLISH DATE; 03/06/2025
AUTHORS NOTE;
this is a very long one. so if you're not absolutely bored out of your mind, don't read. lmao
HEADS UP, RESIDENTS=CREEPS THAT AREN'T PROXIES
by the way, don't fret, more MHA writing coming soon. i just need my hyperfixation to relieve itself before i can get to MHA again
happy reading my little shrimps

THE MANSION
WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE? HOW DO THE RESIDENTS/PROXIES FIND IT?
I do imagine it being old and antique. Black mold staining the outer edges of the very off-white wooden planks that cover the outside of the mansion, black roof with a few hanging vines (now that Tim managed to reach up and snip them off), and windows that barely showed anything inside to anyone looking at it from the outside.
There's an algae-covered grand fountain that once spewed great, elegant spurts of water that used to wow its guests, and now only a very small, sputtering blast of water from one opening remains
At the far back of the mansion, there was once a bright green patch of healthy grass, now only a training ground, the once healthy grass is turned into a large, very dry rectangular patch of dried up soil as a result of endless kicking, stomping, running, and discarded bullets, worn down with time
In front of the longer side of the training ground, the very thick forest that frames the mansion from the entrance. Lots of other creatures inhabit that actually, it isn't only The Rake that haunts them
It formerly belonged to an old rich man from the 60s who violently murdered his wives consecutively for their dowry and was running a money laundering business before getting caught and soon enough committed suicide in front of the town officials.
Since then it's been untouched
The Operator found it a bit soon after his existence was manifested, and has used his own power to "restore" the mansion. Not a full-on makeover, just a little redo of the original design on the inside but leaving the outer as is, to deter any unwelcome intruders
But that barely happens, with maybe six or seven unfortunate wanderers who managed to stumble across the building. Either way The Operator orders his subjects to immediately eliminate whoever spots it, as he always informs his children on who should be in their home.
That being said, the reason why there's only so few of the people that found it, is because the forest is quite literally-- alive. When it senses an unwelcome being, it will twist and turn its vines and branches, open up holes to habitats belonging to deadly cryptids, and deprive them of food such as fruits and drinkable lake waters.
That's why, when the residents and the proxies are called by The Operator to their forever new home, it's inevitable that they get lost in the forest for a few days first, as it takes the forest a bit of time to acclimate to the being's temperature and presence.
This is part of why The Operator takes his recruiting slowly, so as not to alarm the whole barrier that very much protects his creations' spaces.
Although The Operator would like to recruit as many as he can in a sleek amount of time, another reason why he doesn't force the forest to accept them immediately is because he sees the way that his children survives in the forest for the few days they are there as a test-- he wants to see their nature being in somewhere that is unknown to them
How they hunt. How they travel. How they seek. How they retain their strength in this green void of nothing but the cold.
He also sees how they can defend themselves against those who aren't in their "likeness". By this, he means how they defend themselves against other cryptids, such as The Rake, The Seedeater, The Stiltwalker, anything that isn't of The Operator's creation.
Do they fight? Do they flee? Do they bargain? Do they just hope for the best?
Either way, he is glad. Somewhat relieved, since he now knew he didn't have to show himself to them every time they encounter a being such as those, which in most cases, they flee. Fight if they have to, but they mostly flee and end up at the mansion's care
Surprise! The mansion is ALSO alive. It's similar to the forest-- except you're surrounded by antique oddities and the smell of decades-old leather.
The first time Hoodie stepped in, it seemed like the halls started to twist and turn at its whim, for every left Hoodie took, would lead him somewhere back in the kitchen.
Of course, he was frustrated for a while, deterring supernatural cryptids weren't easy in the forest, and the poor guy needed some sleep after he was quite literally just had been brought back alive. Eventually, he finally found his room, and thanked the heavens (which he believed did not exist after what he's been through), before finally getting some rest.
Although he wasn't really the first to step inside the mansion, he definitely was one of the first to figure out the whole jig of the place.
Masky came and Hoodie told him what was going on after Masky just rotated around the library about three times
Toby came, then Kate.
Soon enough they all worked as a team to finally map out and draw the mansion's actual layout. They framed it on the right staircase at the entrance of the mansion.
Speaking of the entrance, it looks like the second picture above, except it is MUCH MUCH MUUUCH more cleaned up than that. The Operator doesn't exactly give luxury to his children, but he gives then practicality. And you can't be practical with dust everywhere.
WHERE IN THE WORLD IS IT!?
Actually, I'd like to think the mansion is in the Appalachian mountains.
Think about it. So many posts online talking about Doppelgangers and Wendigos. Random whistling at night.
Many places to staple the pages. Easy to build undetected weaponry huts. Plus, the population's not all that bad, there are some people to eliminate and it's also a bit rare for far travelling for the residents/proxies
Anyhow, that's my answer.
HOW DOES IT SURVIVE?
I would guess that The Operator does have a part in maintaining the mansion's overall well-being (y'know, since it's alive and stuff)
So, in the deepest, darkest, smallest room in the mansion, lays the heart.
The Operator created the heart because he has his own responsibilities to tend to, and he alone cannot maintain it. So, in a nutshell, he created that thing so he won't deal with the mansion falling apart anytime soon.
It's similar to what happened when Alice from Fear Street: 1978 found some sort of a "beating heart" which connected her to the dead.
Very, very similar. Except the whole room is so much more darker and only lit by a number of candles-- none of which seems to melt any further. It's a gorey, fleshy mess.
It's a big goop of red, pumping sac with black goop lining it. Every time it pumps, it produces this horrible blomp, glurp. blomp, glurp. kind of sound that makes any resident gag at the sound of it, even if the sight wasn't enough.
Huge part of why it's at the very bottom. The heart is the reason why the mansion stays standing, given its very obvious rot and mildew, the heart's goop keeps it all together.
It needs to be fed. And its food needs to be alive. Live animals, live people.
A few of the only residents that can handle the stench of this.. organ. Is Eyeless Jack, Jeff (to an extent, at least. he's not in there for more than three minutes), and surprisingly, Toby.
WHAT DO THE PROXIES DO?
Of course, all of them kill. Killing is at least more than once, required. It's just that, for some of them, it isn't as frequent, due to their specialties. This is a list of what they do for the mansion. Basically, their household chores.
THE MAIN PROXIES
PRIMARY INFORMATION (read this so you won't get confused)
As a main source of extra income, the proxies partake in organ-trafficking.
Basically, they're the dealers. And honestly, they have pretty good reviews on the Dark Web, just a few stars off here and there because of the customer service (Masky) but otherwise, their stuff is pretty good.
With the help of EJ and BEN, the harvesting is almost flawless and is packaged very safely to their clients. The marketing is decent, too, for the Dark Web is where BEN gets most of his jump scare material and his sneaky tech allowing them to see if the client is actually real and not some bogus who tries to scam them.
Toby kills the victim. EJ harvests the organs. BEN embeds pop up ads. Masky talks with the clients. Brian does the packaging and helps Kate deliver. Kate is the driver while Brian makes sure the organ doesn't get shaken up too much.
They're a great team honestly. Toby is just a little greedy when it comes to money. And Masky paired with customer service can sometimes not be a great duo. He can be a little rude in text and much more rude on the phone.
One time, a client complained about a liver that was "too small". Of course Masky retaliated and told them it was a normal size and no refunds were allowed, they were delivering organs for fuck's sake why would they take it back!?
Eventually the customer hung up in a fit of rage and Masky almost broke the phone with his bare hands.
That was one of the only 3/5 stars they ever received but so far the rest is always 5/5 so Masky could care less.
It's just that next time, whenever Masky got too heated, Brian would be the one to take the phone. Not Toby, because he'd be too unstable and the client may not be aware of his tics and he might accidentally call the client a slur.
Not Kate, either. She doesn't talk. And if she does, and if the client's questions is something stupid as fuck like "ohhhh ehmm geeee is this actually from a human" she might just sigh, and hang the fuck up
BEN would just straight up troll the guy. "These lungs look kinda small. You sure they're from an adult?"
"Oh yeah, sure they are actually kinda small, but deez nuts aren't"-his response. 😕
EJ is actually decent to talk to, it's just that his voice has made people piss themselves. A woman once asked for a receipt for reference and when he told her very maliciously that it was stapled to the ice box it was shipped in, her scream of "HOLY SHIT" was heard by everybody in the room followed by "you fucking COCKSUCKER" even further followed by the beep of the phone
Safe to say, Brian is more fit for the phone, Tim just doesn't wanna admit he's not easy to talk to.
MASKY (TIM WRIGHT)
He is considered to be the plumber and repairman of the mansion. Every annoying leak, squeaky bed (😏), loose cabinet, hole in the wall, he's onto it.
It started because of a leaky pipe in the kitchen sink. Hoodie, trying to wash his mug, casually mentioned it while Masky was going through the fridge post-mission at the ungodly hour of four AM.
Hoodie barely turned around and almost immediately seeing a fairly small splash of water repeatedly hitting the drain before sighing. Sink's leakin' through again. Masky tiredly lifted his head backwards, the pang of his previous headache threatening to return if he doesn't soften his movements. He asked the taller man to step aside. And out of nowhere, he pulls out a toolbox from the cabinet, fishes out a wrench and creaks the cabinet under the sink open. There, the pipes were immediately assaulted by his wrench, and soon enough, he stopped the leak just before his eyes went dark.
Hoodie was taken aback, yes, but quickly recovers from the new found shock, remembering that his old friend is a carpenter-- he was just slightly surprised Masky remembered anything at all.
From then on Hoodie started calling on Masky everytime a repair was needed.
Toilet not flushing? He'll grumble about how your shit is too big to go down the pipe.
Slammed the door too hard? He will annoyingly screw the hinge back on.
Jumped a little and broke the floorboards? Fatty.
He just silently accepted it, despite his his annoyed nature, he knew there wasn't anyone else with that much experience in those things but him, and he takes a little pride in that.
Especially when it comes to fixing a woman's things. It stems from his inner trauma/abandonment issues since his mother left him at the young age of nine years old and he's had a... "view" for women since then.
He would boast about being "the man" of the house, just because he can fix Nurse Ann's table. (She wants to saw his head off)
HOODIE (BRIAN THOMAS)
He's in (1) charge of in-house security using various CCTV systems he keeps in his office, as well as (2) tolling the numbers for their organ business, keeping track of how much money each member should get, and (3) monthly room checks of each resident.
His CCTVs don't make it into the rooms of the residents. It is an unspoken rule of the mansion that nobody should ever, invade or snoop another one's room without their permission.
His cameras blink in the corners of hallways, in the kitchen, the living room, the library-- basically every common part of the mansion.
He does this so the liberty and the dignity of the mansion doesn't get ruined. And by ruined I mean he does this so Jeff doesn't have another fit and rip the couch again.
Overall, he does watch over everyone so that no fights break out resulting in unnecessary clinic visits to EJ, no furniture is ruined, nobody unknown is breaking inside, no malicious intent is done...
At least on his part. In his eyes, he can do whatever he wants. He's a cocky bastard. Don't be surprised to find him in your room sniffing for "prohibited items" even though there are literal army guns stored in the weapons room.
TICCI TOBY
He's known for breaking up fights whenever Hoodie informs him that there is one and at first he gets made fun of or not taken seriously, but once he throws his hatchet down in between the two penetrators they go silent. He's also one of the people in charge of hunting for food, usually he brings home deer, rabbit and stuff like that. He is also a mentor for X-Virus (Cody) since he's the newest member of the mansion.
Every time a fight starts, he begins ticking off people in his head. He recalls what people have told him and which pissed them off, and almost every time it ends up being Jeff starting it.
It began when him and Kate were still a bit new to the mansion and even then Masky and Hoodie were very commonly found bickering at each other during missions. One snowy day, Toby had enough and basically screeched at the top of his lungs for them to stop-- only for Masky to make fun of him. He ended up being slammed into a brick wall and was threatened by Toby before he dragged Masky back to the cabin they were staying at and locked the two separately for a while until things calmed down.
KATE THE CHASER
If you think about it she'd be known as a "recon" of the group. She stayed in the forest the longest out of all of them and safe to say she's actually encountered one of the cryptids. Although she didn't fight, she didn't flee either. She observed the creature, to her curiosity, and figured out what deterred it and what attracted its presence. She is also the main one who is informed first of the mission since her first instinct isn't brawling with the others on who gets which part in the mission.
Of course she's just as strong as her groupmates, possibly even stronger since The Operator takes more out of her than the others. But in the times she's able to calm her animalistic nature down and listen to her surroundings, she can actually sense what is lingering there, and whether it has bad intentions or not.
Regardless, she plays a very important part in the group. She is the main disseminator of information in the group.
BONUS!
WAIT, BUT AMBER, HOW DOES THE INFORMATION GET TO KATE? OR ANYONE IN THE MANSION? DIDN'T YOU IMPLICATE THAT THE OPERATOR DOESN'T PARTICULARLY LIKE SHOWING ITSELF UNLESS IT'S FOR AN EMERGENCY?
Yes! You're absolutely correct. The Operator does not like showing himself to his children as it can hinder his underground work, so, he disseminates his missions to his proxies like this:
In very common cases, the information comes out on its own through a typewriter. Yes, a haunted typewriter.
Whenever a new mission is to be completed, its keys click and clack on their own, despite nobody at all near touching it. And when the page is full and finished, its bell will let out a little ding!
Voila. A new mission.
It's impressive, really. How it works is, The Operator has his own little typewriter in his office. Same model, same size, same color, the only distinct mark for him to know it's his is, his sigil is carved on the side.
He types away, and he presses this silver little button on the very corner, and just like that, the paper fades away, leading to the proxies' typewriter to type it write out again, on its own this time.
Kate's room is the closest to this typewriter, so she ends up hearing the bell-- almost every single time.
It resides in its own little room with very little space just for one person and one person only, propped up on a slim coffee table in the middle of it. I swear, it's a bad place for claustrophobics.
Anyhow, she reads it first, then takes it back to the common room where the proxies hang out mainly.
Any other information/warnings/missions addressed to any resident other than the proxies, are held confidential and only known by Kate. It is up to that resident's volition or choice to reveal it to them if wanted.

hope you enjoyed this lmao.

Chapter Eleven || Hitchhiker || The Proxies
no tw’s for this chapter
a/n: next chapter finna be just a little just a tad just the slightest bit unhinged
<— previous chapter
“How much longer until she’s awake?”
“There’s not even a rough estimate I can give you. Shes lost a lot of blood. But nevertheless, you need to think of a payment method.”
“Can you at least let her wake up before you start yapping about getting reimbursed?”
“Considering The Operator would hang me if he found out i’m helping any of you, I think not.”
You shifted uncomfortably, stiff metal underneath you as you began to stir. “The Operator hangs people?” You mumbled. You felt your wrist and ankles being restricted, causing your eyes to fly open. You were secured to a metal operating table, leather straps securing your wrist to your sides and your ankles to stay straight. You began to thrash under the restraints, panicking. “Woah woah woah it’s okay, relax,” Brian ushered. Three people stood around you, two of which you actually recognized.
Toby and Brian stood to your left, Toby’s eyes filled with concern. On your right, was someone you’ve never seen before. A blue mask with eerie black eye sockets stared down at you. A jet black hoodie hid any other features, your mind starting to spin. “Holy fuck, what the fuck, what the fucking fuck,” You rambled, trying to move away from the unknown masked man. Brian grabbed your shoulders, trying to hold you down. “Relax it’s just EJ, he here to help,” He said, attempting to comfort you. The tall man known as EJ seemed unamused, tilting his head to the side.
“If this is how she reacts to me standing here, what was her reaction to Toby’s face?”
Your eyebrows furrowed. “What about his face?” You questioned. You blinked a few times, trying to understand why your vision was so blinded. “J-Jesus Christ dude move the l-lamp,” Toby intervened. He shoved the blinding spotlight out of the way, allowing your vision to settle. Brian and EJ began undoing your restraints, allowing you to sit up. As you did you hissed in pain, grabbing your stomach. “Take it easy. You’ll rip the stitches,” Brian said. He placed his large hand on your upper back, helping you sit up slowly.
“If you rip them i’m not stitching them up again,” EJ grumbled unhappily. He helped Toby free your ankles, your hands rubbing your wrist. “Is there a particular reason you had me tied up?” You inquired. Brian looked at EJ before answering. “There’s a chance that you could’ve had a seizure during your surgery,” He said slowly. You blinked a few times, lifting up your shirt. It was oversized on you and smelled like Toby. You almost asked how your clothes had been changed, but then you remembered Nova. “Yes, when my patients move during my operation it’s quite irritable,” EJ added. Your eyes searched the room, looking past the three that surrounded you.
“Where’s Nova? Is she alright? And Tim?” You asked. You went to jump off of the table, Toby stopping you. “T-They’re fine. They’re outside,” Toby informed you. It then occurred to you that you didn’t recognize your surroundings, at all. You appeared to be in a small cabin, a small fire crackling in the nearby living room. Despite how tiny it seemed, the soft essence made it comfortable. “EJ only let two of us in at a time. And it’s better Nova and Toby don’t get partnered together,” Brian explained. You glanced at EJ, whose soulless gaze seemed to stare directly into your soul. “Those regulations are over, if you’re going to stay here I need to have a meeting with all of you,” EJ said plainly. He sounded so unamused. So unfazed. As he removed his hands from his hoodie you noticed his ash gray skin.
Maybe all kinds of monsters were actually real, not just the one terrorizing you. Toby helped you over to the couch, Brian off to get Tim and Nova. Once you were all seated, EJ stood in front of you. Tim tried his hardest not to look at you, the guilt of almost getting you killed eating him alive. “I have been friends with The Operator for a long time. Longer than some of you have been born,” EJ began. Friends? Was this guy for real? You glanced over at Nova, whose gaze reminded on EJ. Despite her eyes looking elsewhere, she affectionately put her hand on top of yours. You wanted to question her sudden affection, the two of you hardly hugging before you met the boys. “I’m just going to say it like it is. The five of you are not going to make it out of this alive. I estimate maybe two or three of you. But not all of you,” He continued. You were searching for Toby and Brian’s reactions, the two listening intently.
You expected Tim to argue. Toby to interrupt. Brian to mumble an insult. But they all sat perfectly still, listening to the creature before them. Whoever EJ was, he meant business. “Which of the three of you survives depends on how you want to play your cards,” EJ stated flatly. Tim crossed his arms. “Skip over the drama and get to the point please,” He huffed. Despite EJ’s gaze being concealed by a mask, it wasn’t hard to sense that he despised being interrupted. “Nova and Y/n you’re both targets. Given the situation I suspect we won’t have any visitors for a while. He wants to push Nova to the point of suicide and I can only assume for Y/n he wants her as a proxy,” EJ continued. You shifted uncomfortably in your seat. Toby put his arm around you, pulling you closer.
“I can smell your curiosity. Being willing to die in an instant for someone you care about is noble. Too noble. He wants to exercise that nobility to its fullest extent,” He explained. Could he read thoughts too? What did he mean by he could smell you? “So what’s your recommendation for a plan wise guy?” Tim asked. EJ thought for a moment, his body stilling as he thought to himself. “Keep moving until your legs hurt. Train the girl to look after herself. Maybe start to pray,” He suggested sarcastically. Tim frowned as he stood up, glaring at EJ. “Dont push your luck Tim. You’re lucky she’s made it this far anyways,” The demon said plainly. Tim stormed outside, slamming the door behind him. You rose from the couch, abandoning Nova and Toby to shoot daggers at one another. You brushed past EJ, avoiding his eerie gaze.
You reached Tim on the back porch, a cigarette in between his fingers. “Tim…” You started. The brunette refused to look at you, leaning against the wooden railing of the porch. Endless rows of trees surrounded the cabin, the sun beaming through the leafs above. “You can’t keep blaming yourself for this,” You say. Tim flicked some ash off of his cigarette, before returning it to his lips. “My selfishness and greed landed you here. You know it,” He said harshly. A breeze blew past the two of you, your hand involuntarily cradling your wound. You slowly walked over to him, each step taking all of your energy. “Tim, I wanted this,” You argued. Tim noticed how weak you were, his gaze now avoiding looking at you. If he were to, he’d fold and want to touch you.
“You wanted a life stealing demon attached to you? I don’t think so,” Tim debated. You put your hand on his shoulder, giving it a squeeze. “I wanted you. The three of you. Everything else will work itself out,” You replied. Tim finally turned to face you, carelessly tossing his cigarette aside. “Tim I can’t do this without you. Masky isn’t enough. I need you too,” You say softly. You bring your hands to his face, cupping it. Tim brought his gloved hands to your wrist, admiring your soft features. When was the last time anyone preferred him over Masky? “I’m so sorry. You have no idea how sorry I am,” Tim whispered. His eyes became glassy, internally fighting the urge to cry. “You can show me,” You suggested. This made Tim chuckle, the brunette delivering a kiss to your forehead. “With your stitches healing? Absolutely not. Nice try princess,” He chuckled.
He leaned his forehead against yours, your gaze meeting his. “Hey Tim?” You whispered. You wrapped your arms around his neck, his large hands settling on your waist.
“Yeah?”
“Kiss me.”
Tim’s lips met yours, his kiss hungry and soft. He tasted like cigarettes and spearmint, your eyes fluttering shut. Your lips moved against his in harmony, the two of you like magnetics. You couldn’t help but feel more drawn to him, your hands gripping his jacket to bring him closer. Tim pulled away first, his face visibly flushed. He gave you a smile, before gathering both of your hands into his own. “I’m going to do everything to protect you. You’re going to be one of the three that survive,” He promised you. He brought you to his chest, pulling you into a tight embrace.
“I’m not gonna let anything happen to you.”
In the distance, beyond a few rows of trees, the unknowing couple had an observer. He wasn’t a tall slender being like his boss, no. He was something much worse, much more sinister. Unlike his boss, who deployed mindless drones to continue his reign of terror, he considered himself to be much different. He preferred this. To be alone, slaughtering those he was instructed to. It gave him a justification. It gave him a pleasure so strong it was nearly greater than an orgasm.
He was tasked with finishing what Kate started. Except this time, where the chips fall where they may lay. The Operator was very clear. There were no restrictions now. Masky, Hoodie, and Toby, could easily be eliminated as well if they interfered with his task. Crouched in a tree his eyebrows furrowed as he observed you and Tim. You had three lovers? Possibly a fourth with the hot headed detective? He tilted his head to the side as Tim kissed you again. You were an intriguing target indeed. As he fiddled with his metal claws, he couldn’t help but wonder if any of you had figured out the truth yet.
The Operator didn’t want you as a proxy anymore, he wanted you dead.
\/
“Guys seriously I can get in bed just fine i’m okay,” You protested. Toby and Tim had been carrying you everywhere, determined to baby you to the highest extent. You refused to acknowledge or admit how much your stomach hurt. “You got stabbed through the kidney. It’s a miracle not only that you survived, but that EJ didn’t take the opportunity to eat it,” Tim said. They lowered you on to the bed, the oversized pants you were clothed with sagging. “EJ eats kidneys?” You questioned. You could feel your stomach churn. Tim went silent for a moment, realizing he hadn’t thought twice about what he had said.
“H-he eats much much more than that. But we were ver-r-ry clear in our deal with him,” Toby intervened. You propped yourself up against the headboard, the ancient oil lamp on your nightstand accompanying you with a dim light. “What deal?” You asked. Tim ran his fingers through his hair. “Dont worry about it,” He said, steering the conversation in a different direction. You frowned. Toby made himself quite comfortable beside you, wrapping his arm around your shoulders. “Where’s Brian?” You asked. You leaned your head against Toby’s chest, trying to ignore how sore your body felt. “Out on patrol with Nova and EJ. There is no telling who The Operator might try to send here now that Kate’s dead,” Tim stated.
The memory of the blade of the axe slamming down into her skull resurfaced in your mind. The cold blooded killer in question was cuddling you like a teddy bear. He was humming to himself, like he hadn’t committed atrocious acts against God. Tim’s eyes flickered between you and Toby, the brunette swallowing. “Well, i’ll leave you guys to it,” Tim said quietly. He turned to leave, causing you to lean forward to try to grab his wrist. You hissed in pain at the sudden movement, your hand flying down to your healing wound. Your whine caused Tim to turn around, looking at you with eyes full of concern.
“Please stay. I need all of the support I can get right now,” You admitted weakly. Tim glanced at Toby, who gave him a subtle nod. The bed was a full sized one at most. Tim sighed, sliding off his boots and jacket. “You’re lucky I-” Tim began, stopping dead in his tracks once he realized what words were about to fall off of his lips. Your eyes widened, your heart beginning to race. Tim didn’t deserve to say those words to you. He didn’t think he was worthy. “You’re just lucky, princess,” He finished. He shuffled over to the other side of the bed, sliding in beside you. It was then a knock on the door drew your attention, a tired Brian stumbling inside.
“Please for the love of God let me sleep with you guys instead of being on patrol,” He pleaded. You raised your eyebrows, glancing at Tim. “What’s wrong?” He questioned. Brian sighed, shoving off his hoodie. You couldn’t help but momentarily stare at his built chest. He only wore a thin wife beater underneath, the sight making your heart skip a a beat. “EJ and Nova won’t stop yapping. They won’t stop talking and it’s driving me insane. The point of being on watch is to be subtle. Something neither of them know how to do apparently,” He groaned. Brian plopped down onto the bed, carefully laying his head on your inner thighs.
“A demon and Nova. S-sounds like the p-p-perfect match to me!” Toby snickered. You rolled your eyes, elbowing him. Tim laid his head on your shoulder, your right hand lacing its fingers with his. Your left found its way to Brian’s hair, playing with the locs as his eyes fluttered shut. “Shut up Toby,” Tim grumbled. You knew it wasn’t always going to be this easy. Recovery was going to be a bitch. Your mind began to spin, your eyes wide open as fears circulated around your mind. Tim seemed to notice your tension, giving your hand a squeeze.
“Relax princess we’re right here. No ones going anywhere.”
Your feet seemed to carry themselves, trudging through the forest. Thick vines littered themselves across the ground, causing you to consistently look down to watch your step. When you finally looked up, your eyes widened. A rusty gate fenced in what appeared to be a small graveyard. A cold chill ran down your spine, goosebumps rising across your skin as the hairs on the back of your neck stood up. On the gate was a piece of paper, a chaotic and unhinged drawing of The Operator scribbled across the page.
Narrowing your eyes, you grabbed the page angrily. “Stupid drawing,” You muttered. You crumbled up the page, tossing it aside. You shoved the gate open, the fog concealing a clear view of the gravestones. An owl hooted in the distance, the dim moonlight not able to illuminate anything past the relentless fog. You ignored the overgrown moist grass tickling your exposed ankles, continuing forward. Unsettled you hugged your arms, ignoring the eerie feeling of being watched. You did a quick scan of your surroundings, unable to see anything.
Swallowing your fear and unsettlement you walked forward, with each step creating a louder sound of static. You reached the headstones, noticing five of them sat in a perfect row. You managed to see past the fog, your heart beginning to pound as you read the names.
Timothy Wright. Brian Thomas. Nova Parker. Tobias Rogers. Y/n Y/l/n.
You felt your stomach churn, your body boiling with rage. “You can’t have them! I won’t let you!” You yelled into the void. You clenched your fist, your nails digging into your palms. “You hear me you bald fuck!? You can’t have them! They mine,” You screamed. Your voice echoed throughout the trees, your words ringing throughout your ears. You gritted your teeth, the sound of static overpowering your words. You fell to your knees, clutching your head. Your lips were apart, a scream surely escaping your throat, yet you couldn’t hear it.
With every ounce of energy you had left you swallowed, forcing yourself to formulate words. “You’ll never find us anyways you bastard!” You screeched. An abnormally large snow white hand grabbed your shoulder, its fingers digging into your skin.
“Oh my foolish child, I already have.”

An interpretation of Slenderman I love is the idea of him as a stalker, a predator, and a manipulator rather than a powerful or aggressive force. His tendrils and demon face/non-face? Cool as hell. No arguments there. But to me the way he's able to get into people heads and break them from the inside out the way he does is much more terrifying.
He's used force as a means of control before, such as with Kate, Masky, and Hoody, but he also leans heavily into manipulation tactics like he does with Alex, Toby, Cat Hunter, and Bones.
Slender, in my interpretation, manipulates and controls his proxies by taking away their identities and making them dependent on him. This can be seen in each of the proxies. Toby, Kate, Masky, Hoody, Cat Hunter, and Bones (just walk with me here) all had parts of their identities stolen by Slender in one way or another.
In my mind, Masky and Hoody were brought back by Slender/The Operator after the events of Marble Hornets to act as his proxies. Slender saw something in them, whether it be their strength, skill, cunningness, etc, and decided they were too useful to let go to waste. But, as their track records show, this isn't something they'd ever accept willingly, and so had parts of their identities taken when they were brought back to ensure their loyalty to Slender wouldn't slip (why wasn't Alex brought back? idk ask Skully i haven't read the MH comics yet. For now lets blame it on his temper making him too likely to step out of line.)
Kate I'm admittedly undecided on as of right now. Her psyche is definitely damaged, having part's forcefully torn away as a result of Slenders torment, but whether or not her animalistic behaviour is a learnt behaviour in order to cope with what's been done to her or a direct result of Slenders torment is unknown. She won't say, and she won't leave either. That's not an option for her anymore, she knows that much at least.
Cat hunter is a mix of both, in a way. His push to become a proxy was forceful, with Slender physically making him kill his father, but its the blows to his self worth and constant reminder of his actions that cause him to remain as one. Guilt has taken away his self worth, and all he can do is try fill the hole best he can with what he has
Toby had his memories from before his time with Slender removed, taking away any sense of identity he might've had before becoming a proxy and making him dependent on Slenders protection for survival. Where else would he go? He doesn't have anyone else, he's a wanted criminal. And besides, life with Slender is good. He clings to that false sense of freedom without even knowing why he holds it so dear. Why would he ever want to leave?
Bones has had her identity tampered with by Slender since she was young to the point she can't discern what parts of herself are truly herself and what parts were planted there by Slender. She grew up with his voice in her head, convincing her that his words are her own thoughts and that she can't be free unless she is with him. "That violence? That's normal. They don't understand you here, you don't have anyone. You're trapped and alone but I can set you free. Don't you want that?" She doesn't know who or even what she is without him and his "guidance". He's all she knows. He's all she has.
The proxies will never be free. They're going to die out there in those woods at the hands of a monster. And the worst part? Most of them don't even know they're trapped.

Just curious in the prison AU how did the character yk react when being arrested? I’ve seen a few videos and some people like yk resist arrest or like make it difficult for the cops to load them into the car and others just kinda let it happen? I’m just curious on how much of a struggle did the cops have when trying to arrest the proxy’s/pastas
THIS MAY INCLUDE SPOILERS FOR FUTURE PARTD OF THE PRISON AU, IF YOU DONT WANNA SEE, SCROLL PAST.
I like to think the proxies got raided, so I'm going to take some inspo from my Insane Asylum AU
Maybe Toby left a piece of evidence that led the cops right to them. For this mission, the Proxies were staying in a motel. It was the middle of the night, Toby's watching lord knows what, Hoodie's looking at some photographs he took of the victims, and Masky's smoking outside. But, as Masky's smoking, he sees bunch of cop cars in the distance. He'd run inside and tell them that they gotta leave now.
However, they got caught. Hoodie would probably be the most willing. Hoodie's the most logical of the group and he knows damn well that he isn't going to get away unless they all have a plan. He'd have the most annoyed look on his face but he wouldn't do anything.
Toby almost gotta away. Toby's had so many run ins with the cops, starting back when he was a late teenager. He would've gotten away to if his tics didn't start to act up like crazy. He'd be screaming, maybe bite a cop or two, they wouldn't definitely put a muzzle on him because he'd been sent to jail before, as mentioned in Part 1.
Masky is similar to Hoodie where he's more so annoyed then anything. But, I can see him being extremely paranoid about what the Operator and Slenderman are going to react, not even Kate has gotten caught and she works alone. He'd curse out the cops, but during the car ride, he'd be mumbling to himself, and maybe even have a panic attack.
Now to everyone else!
Ben, Jeff, and EJ were also caught together. They were all hanging out in a cabin where Jeff killing the current residents. However, Jeff had left a piece of evidence at one of his old crime scenes that led the cops to them.
EJ was dissecting one of the people Jeff killed with Ben looming over him, smoking a blunt while asking him hundreds of questions. Jeff would come over and now all of them are looming over this dead guy's body, his stomach cut open with his kidneys ripped out.
I just wanna note that these guys were the hardest to find because they're not always together, EJ eats the evidence, Ben's killings rarely leave a mark on the real world, and Jeff is good at what he does.
When the door got kicked in, the cops stared at the three in horror.
Since Ben was high as hell, he'd start laughing while saying they were fucked. Might I add, if Ben wasn't high, the three of them deadass could've escaped no problem because the cabin had a TV.
Ben was caught first and he'd be laughing, yelling "Fuck the police" while spitting on the floor. The most unserious motherfucker.
EJ killed a good chunk of the cops, but then his hunger kicked in. He ended up eating a cop, but he was able to get knocked out because of it.
Jeff got carried away and got knocked out as well.
Liu's arrest was actually recorded on live TV.
After going on a minor killing spree in a city he was in, he was seen in the background of some guy's livestream.
Liu's identity was roughly unknown by the police, and they had a few sketches of what he might look like, and unfortunately for him, they had one that was really close.
When Liu realized he was being followed by a helicopter and a few police cars, he booked it. The entire chase was live, and in broad daylight too.
He ended up cornering himself after he ran into an abandoned building. When he realized he was caught, he just sat down and waited for the cops to catch up.
When the cops walked in, they saw him sitting on top of a crate, his head facing the floor as he spinned a knife in his hand, humming a lullaby to pass the time. Tbh with you, he let himself get caught. When Jeff found out, he was so fucking pissed off. When he saw him enter the inmates ward, he yelled and playfully hit him for 30 minutes straight, Liu couldn't care less tho.

Unknown Variable [Short Story]
Toby leaned against a tree, flicking his lighter open and shut. The flame never came. He wasn’t trying to light anything, just thinking. A name stuck with him. Ward. He hadn’t meant to overhear it. He had been walking back from the woods, just passing by when he caught Masky’s voice. “…Ward’s out there again.” Toby hadn’t stopped walking, hadn’t even let his pace hitch. He hadn’t wanted to get involved, didn’t want to seem like he was trying to listen. But that one word burrowed into his brain, refusing to leave. He hadn’t heard it before. Not in any of the files. Not in the scattered conversations between proxies. No one had ever mentioned a Ward. But the way Masky said it like it was a name everyone was supposed to recognize, made Toby uneasy. The next evening, after his rounds, Toby didn’t waste any time. He found Masky and Hoodie standing by the firepit, talking in quiet voices. Toby didn’t hesitate; he walked up to them, his face set. “Who the hell is Ward?” Masky didn’t even look at him at first, his arms crossed, his usual smirk hidden behind the mask. Hoodie just kept his eyes on the ground, not saying a word. “What?” Masky’s voice was sharp. “Don’t act like you didn’t say it,” Toby snapped. “I heard you last night. You said, ‘W-ward’s out there again.’” Masky gave a slow, irritated sigh. He turned his head just enough to glance at Toby. “You heard wrong, kid.” Toby’s eyes narrowed. “D-do-don’t bullshit me, Masky. You said it. Ward. Who is he?” Hoodie shifted slightly but didn’t speak. Masky, however, was already getting impatient. “Jesus Christ. We don’t know anything more than that. We just know the damn name. Ward.” His tone was getting harsher. “What the hell do you want from us?” Toby didn’t back down. “So you don’t know anything else? N-not even a little?” Masky’s eyes flashed behind his mask. “You’ve got a hell of a lot of questions for someone who doesn’t know shit. Yeah, that’s it. We just know the damn name and that’s all we’ve ever known. Got it, you fucking nuisance?” Toby glared at them both, frustration rising. He didn’t believe them. There was no way Masky and Hoodie didn’t know anything more. They were always in the loop. “I don’t buy it,” Toby muttered, his voice low. “Well, tough shit,” Masky snapped. “That’s all we know. Now fuck off.” Toby stood there for a long moment, staring at them both. “Fine,” he growled, spinning around to walk away. One evening, after another fruitless search, Toby sat with Chloe by the firepit. She was hunched over a small project, her fingers moving deftly as she tinkered with the pieces. Toby watched her for a moment, trying to get the words right. “Chloe,” he began slowly, hesitant. “Do you know anything about a guy named Ward?” She looked up at him, her expression filled with curiosity. “Ward?” she echoed, her brow furrowing in confusion. “No, I’ve never heard that name before.” Toby frowned, a little disappointed. “You sure? M-Masky and Hoodie mentioned him. I thought maybe…” Chloe shook her head, the soft smile never leaving her face. “Nope, never heard of him. But then again, when I make the weapons, I’m never told who they go to, so…” Toby nodded, feeling a little better. He didn’t show it, but just hearing that Chloe was as in the dark as he was gave him some relief. “Thanks, Chloe,” he said with a small smile. “G-guess I’ll just have to figure it out myself.” She flashed him a playful grin, her hands already back on her project. “You always do, Toby.” As Chloe returned to tinkering, humming softly, Toby leaned back against the log, staring into the fire. Someone out there knew the truth. And if Masky and Hoodie weren’t lying then they were just as blind as he was. That thought unsettled him more than anything. If someone was operating in the dark, someone who could move unnoticed even among them… what else were they capable of?

Took me some time to create their titles (╥﹏╥) I'll probably start posting resident headcanons- basically how they act around the mansion and stuff ┐(‘~`;)┌
For the credits for each of the character's creators, I'm not entirely sure that these are the actual creators (especially for Jeff's character) I only based it on Google results and other sources like reddit and Tumblr (◠‿・)—☆
Anyways, I'll probably be more busy in the next few days- school is coming up soon so there is a chance I might accidentally abandon this acc for some time (⸝⸝⸝´꒳`⸝⸝⸝) hope y'all enjoy this post!

NOCs and their Pokémon
Mizunashi Rena (Kir): a Mawile that's clearly Seen Some Shit never leaves her side, except for when she's working for the news station (in which case she chills inside her poké ball; Mizunashi Rena's fans like to speculate on her choice of companion). The Pokémon isn't actually hers, but Ethan Hondou's— which he'd left with his daughter upon being sent undercover as he believed Mawile to be better suited for her mission, which had been prospected to be much shorter and less grueling than his. Things don't go according to plan, of course, and both Kir and Mawile now have to wing it in a world they received no preparation for. Additionally, while the Mawile used to be able to mega evolve with her first human, she can't do the same when battling with Kir.
Shindou Ryo* (Scotch): a Togekiss named Mochi, which he raised from when the Pokémon was still a Togepi egg, is his lifelong companion. Although generally jovial and fairly approachable, Mochi can pull an impressive 180 and turn into a relentless agent of destruction in accordance with what Scotch needs at the moment. The Togekiss' appearance never fails to lull criminals who are none the wiser into a false sense of security— an illusion that Mochi later delights in viciously shattering. Unlike the CIA and FBI, the Japanese secret services do not have the authority to force their agents to switch to more "suitable" Pokémon for their assignments, which means Mochi got to stay with his human his whole life, from when they were both itty bitty babies to... well.
Amuro Tooru (Bourbon): Hisuian Zoroark, although his real form is unknown to everyone in the Organization— barring Scotch, of course. Bourbon's Pokémon usually appears as a scar-riddled Toxtricity, and generally remains quite unapproachable at all times due to his explosive temperament, thus rendering Bourbon difficult to interact with by proxy. Soon after their arrival, rumors about the new operative and his Pokémon begin to spread: some say the Toxtricity isn't a Toxtricity at all, others that Bourbon was ruthless enough to do unspeakable things to his own Pokémon just to make it stronger. You can even hear the occasional "Bourbon killed his Pokémon and somehow brought it back" tale, although very few believe it. As for the man in question, he never directly confirms the allegations— but he's not denying them either.
Moroboshi Dai (Rye): he initially only has a Houndoom named Hana (assigned to him back when she was still a Houndour by his superiors as soon as it became clear he was a candidate for undercover assignments), but ends up catching a Larvitar during an Organization sanctioned mission and bringing the little guy back with him. He ends up naming him Rocket Launcher— Rocky for short—, and proceeds to play a little game called "how long can I keep a whole ass baby a secret from my roommate", since he and Scotch had technically only agreed to keep one Pokémon each in their flat (which should have worked well, as they both had a single companion at the time of their negotiations).
*Not canon, but I like this fanon cover name for him
#Man. This thing got away from me lmao. Did I share too much did I share too little. Who knows💚 not me#For anyone who's not familiar with Pokémon lore: Hisuian Zoroark is technically extinct. But the thematic parallels... They called to me...#So I made everything worse💚 God fucking bless💚#Check out Hisuian Zorua lore if you want <3#dcmk#detco#detective conan#dcmk au#detective conan au#Pokémon AU#hondou hidemi#morofushi hiromitsu#furuya rei#akai shuichi#whiskey trio#*Mawile's name is pending for now. One day I'll name her I swear

APH — Mansion & Worldbuilding
Location, Mansion, Inhabitants, & other miscellaneous facts
Some of these are inspired by popular fanon AUs, ideas, and interpretations. There is some inspiration by the user @/theamberparadise and their headcanon post and a few others who I no longer remember the tags for. And some comes straight from my own imagination.
Also you’re welcome to kinda throw in your own characters within my AU, add your own takes, or even take things from my posts and run with it, headcanon or worldbuilding wise.
And hey, maybe if we become mooties I may feature you in my work with permission :>

Location?
𖠿 When I was younger, I never had a mental image or kind of set location for the mansion. Which plays into how I interpret the mansion today. Now that i’ve found myself back in the fandom.
𖠿 For ease and from partial inspiration, I can place this a majority of the time within the Appalachia region. Due to history, the nature, and over all folklore of the region. (I do not live within the region but i’m close enough and have driven through it enough to know some things.)
𖠿 Though specifically more northern Appalachia is my main visual when I think of the location, i’ve spent more time in that part of the region compared to the southern part (despite its where i’m closer too lol.) But the entirely of Appalachia has its own additions within the visuals of my AU.
𖠿 But yeah, mostly in the Appalachia region is where this can be seen taking place.
𖠿 ie dense af forests. unsettling atmosphere, the feeling of being watched, uneven terrain, the occasional stream or pond, cryptic creatures and wild animals, etc.
𖠿 Continuing on, the forest around the mansion always seems to be alive. Watching, breathing, it can shift any second. Wether it’s because the mansion causes this or vise versa is unknown.
𖠿 Though it is assumed the forest was alive first, that it is older, has deeper roots both physically and supernaturally. In a way it’s like that one forest, Pando Aspen Clone. It is all connected.
𖠿 The forest as stated above, feels like it shifts and it can. The being that is the forest has no physical form other then the trees and roots it’s set. But even those are not permanent.
𖠿 No one is sure of the forests intentions, its motivations, but its rules are seeming much different then mortals, or other beings typically apply to their societies. Someday it may lead you to other entities whether they attack you or not, and other days it protects you, leads you to safety, maybe even shares a couple of its own secrets.
𖠿 But, the forest has essentially become acquaintances with the Operator, their bond is mutualistic symbiotic. His proxy’s fall under him and the bond, and must do their part in the bond as well.

The Mansion
𖠿 It too holds a feeling of being alive, born from the forests very own trees, but not so connected to the entity that the forest is. The mansion itself, is its own being.
𖠿 And if you pay attention, on the quietest of nights, the mansion breaths.
𖠿 It is also old, very old. It was dusty and broken and overgrown with mold and plants the first time the Operator first came across it, yet somehow it remained still standing. A mix of time periods, artists, and architectural styles. Each hallway is something new, from victorian to then a sudden jump to southern gothic and then a place very decrepit it seems they never got this spot.
𖠿 It took a mix of work from him, and his first proxies, to get the mansion atleast existable in. His proxies doing a majority of the work. It still needs to be tidied up every once in a while, which is part of their duties. (Yeah the fuckers got chores.) Most of the time their personal rooms are free game.
𖠿 The mansion is a shifting and every growing creature, some rooms lost, inaccessible to anyone, memories the house wishes left undisturbed. It accommodates the needs of those who reside though. If there is not a room the mansion deems good enough, one forms on its own. That is rare as one of its many rooms is enough for the individual, with maybe a few compromises.
𖠿 Notably, there is a kitchen, living room, library, a few offices, and a labyrinth of a basement that while free to explore, is hard to understand. The other rooms are most empty.
𖠿 Though the house is ever changing, there is a consistent layout, which after learning makes moving about easier.
𖠿 There are cameras, in hallways and common areas of gathering, and outside, for security reasons.
𖠿 Visuals

𖠿 Residence rooms are.. interesting, it varies person to person the content and cleanliness of one’s room.
𖠿 But typically it’s an old mattresses, with a bunch of clothes piled about, maybe a few belongings. At least to start out with.
𖠿 Over time either through stealing or jobs, and sometimes free shit on the side of the road they are able to gain more personality and proof of being lived in, becoming a home inside a home.

Inhabitants
Keeping this short & sweet for now, as I make individual posts about characters within my AU
Beings of the World:
The Forest
The Mansion
The Operatior/Slenderman
Residents of the Mansion:
Maddi Lynn “The Hunter” Volkov
Odessa “Odette” Blackman
Timothy “Masky” Wright
Brian “Hoodie” Thomas
Tobias Erin “Toby” Rodgers
Kate “The Chaser” Milans
Forest Residents:
These will not get a post dedicated to them.
The Rake
Seedeater
The Stiltwalker
etc.
Miscellaneous but important figures:
aka the i’m not sure where to put or what to do with these guys yet </3 but I plan to include them somewhere.
Jack “Eyeless Jack” Nyras
Liam “X-Virus” Richards
Jeffery “Jeff the Killer” Woods
Jane “Jane the Killer” Arkensaw
Nina “Copycat” Hopkins
Behavioral Event Network aka “BEN”
(+ might add more???)

Miscellaneous
𖠿 As stated above they get jobs, mainly for food, but also to make their existence a bit easier. Most are luck enough to get actual (part time) jobs.
𖠿 A few turn to the dark web, when they are unable to work legitimate jobs.
𖠿 Possibly canon.. the mansion shifts within the forest. One day your in a massive clearing, the next your by a ponds shore. Never strays to far from its original placement though.
𖠿 The majority know atleast how to fix one thing in the mansion, just incase.
𖠿 They do kill, whether it’s someone too close to finding them, or their mission outside of those who are proxies, a person of their past, or occasionally just a shitty person🤷.
𖠿 Idk what else to put here.. i’ll probably add it organize this more later, gods this was a long ass post. Uhhh if you have any questions or anything feel free to ask me, I love yapping about this stuff :>
𖠿 Also! some of this stuff is bound to be retconed and changed as i’m still in the beginning of working on this, but i’ll make sure to keep yall updated as things change.

》☆MY CREEPYPASTA AU LORE!!!☆《
Howdy! So I mentioned that I was making my own creepypasta au, and I wanna share the lore I have so far! This post will be a collection of a few things I've thought of, I'll try organizing it as best as I can! :>
(Hopefully this isn't too similar to anyone else's au, if it is then it wasn't intentional!)
》☆The Operator☆《
Ok let's start off with the tall guy. Slenderman is still a very big part of my au, but it's primarily referred to as The Operator or The Boss (and is referred to with he/him or it/its pronouns by the creeps, it doesn't care about what pronouns are used though). It is less of a physical entity and more of something that infects your mind like a parasite. However, it can manifest a physical body and interact with the world around it, though it takes effort to do so. Nobody knows its motive or origins, just that it appeared one day and decided not to ever leave.
The Operator communicates with the proxies through hallucinations, mostly auditory and visual ones but sometimes it uses a proxy's other senses to get a specific message across. This means the hallucinations can range from small annoyances (like making you see and hear faint static in the middle of doing something, or making you see him standing in the corner) to large horrible experiences (like making you live in an actual nightmare and overloading/depriving your senses). These larger-scale hallucinations are usually only done in The Manor because The Operator uses its abilities best in an environment it fully controls. However, this doesn't mean it's impossible for The Operator to give someone those hallucinations on earth, it just takes more effort. It can also implant words and phrases into a proxy's mind as a message ("bring Toby, foyer" or "get back downstairs"). These aren't usually accompanied by a voice or have fully visual appearances, they just form as thoughts in someone's head. However, if a proxy seems to respond better to these messages with different sensory cues then The Operator will use them.
The Operator seems far less critical with children or beings that are similar to children. This includes Ben and Sally, since they died at young ages. With older teenagers and adults, it treats them more harshly. Then again, this depends on how well they listen to The Operator, naturally ones who listen better are given more privileges.
》☆The Manor☆《
The creeps live in a manor in the woods, however it is less of an actual landmark on earth and more of a liminal-space or dream-like reality outside of earth. I don't wanna get too detailed about this because i feel like the mystery is more appealing, but I'll explain the basics. So The Operator can alter reality for one or multiple people, mentally and/or physically. It can seemingly create places that are outside the limits of earth, and somehow trap them inside of them. The Manor is a place it created where it can better manage and control its proxies. It is unknown how many worlds it created, or how they exactly work.
The entirety of the world The Operator made is called The Manor by the proxies. This is because the manor itself is the only structure in the world, the rest of it consisting of an endless expanse of forest and fog.
The inside of the building has practically endless amounts of rooms and doesn't always have a consistent floor plan. Some rooms are kept in the same places most of the time, like the foyer and the stairwell leading to the second floor, but other rooms sometimes inexplicably change places. Some proxies decided to make things easier by marking the door to any room that changes places more than once (by, for example, labeling a bathroom "downstairs shitter" by carving it into the door). Going through some doors can lead to new unfamiliar rooms, sometimes to the interior of entirely different buildings. It can be easy to get lost, but The Operator will know where any lost proxies are and can bring them back anytime. Sometimes though, it lets them stay lost and freaked out for a while.
Time isn't reliable in The Manor, as it doesn’t stay consistent. It may be pitch black at 11:00 am one day, then there may be visible daylight for a week straight. The only mostly reliable measure of time is the time on a proxy's watch or phone.
》☆The Proxies☆《
All creeps are referred to as proxies, as they are basically extentions of The Operator. However, some proxies (cough cough Jeff cough) don't like to listen to The Operator, and therefore aren't as trusted to do certain tasks. But then again, this means he is trapped with more mental anguish due to The Operator's mind-fuckery.
Some proxies primarily live inside The Manor while others are allowed to live outside of it on earth. If a proxy does well and meets The Operator's standards, they're allowed to live in their own place on earth. They can have a regular job and live almost a completely normal life, with social connections and interactions with things they miss about their old life. However, they're expected to drop anything and everything if The Operator says so, even if it means losing whatever they've gained in the process. Other proxies (cough cough JEFF- cough wheeze) are kept in The Manor because The Operator thinks they'll try to escape the range of its influence. To be fair, they probably would. New proxies are also kept in The Manor until they learn how to acclimate to their new life and not try to run away.
The Operator is referred to as Slenderman or Slendy by the proxies as an informal title, usually meant as a jab at The Operator for how it usually manifests as a tall skinny white guy in a suit for indiscernible reasons.
A lot of the proxies are human, but there are also proxies that don't seem to entirely come from earth. At least, they aren't as bound to earth constraints as human proxies are. One example would be Laughing Jack, who has abilities like stretching and bending and changing size to impossible proportions that humans can't replicate. There's also Ben and Sally, being ghosts, and EJ being a demonic creature. Nobody knows exactly where the nonhuman proxies came from or formed, and they'll usually answer in vague responses if you ask.
Here's info on some of the proxies!! Feel free to send an ask if you wanna know more! :>

Marble Hornets Pokemon Teams Round 3!
Teams & my reasoning for picking them below the cut:
The Operator
Phantump- one of many that roam the woods The Operator inhabits. The more victims there are, the more that show up. Most are mournful of lives they can't quite recall and avoid the living. Some have strange symbols carved on them. I chose Phantump for it's dex entries that claim they are created when the spirits possess tree trunks.
Trevenant- another Pokémon that is just one of many within the forests of The Operator. They can often be seen with cryptic drawings attached to their trunks and strange symbols carved into their trunks. Unlike the Phantump that inhabit the forest, Trevenant willingly aid The Operator and help trap the living within. I added Trevenant to The Operator's "team" due to the association with forests.
Xurkitree- a mysterious entity that showed up one day. This ultra beast tends to sap the energy from electronic devices and it's abilities can make the devices glitch. Picked for its similarities in appearance to The Operator and it's electric typing, which could relate to how The Operator causes things like cameras to glitch.
Missing No. -not a real Pokémon, and it strangely can only be seen through cameras. Whether it's real or just a hallucination caused by The Operator is debatable. Chosen due to being a glitch!
I don't consider The Operator to be a trainer, rather these are Pokémon that live in its domain, which aside from Xurkitree, have a multitude of the species living within.
Ash:
Litten- aka "Athena". She is a rather loving and trusting compared to how the dex depicts them. Athena was Ash's first Pokémon, and a gift from her cousin. While untrained/official, Athena provides Ash with emotional support and would not be used in battle. I picked Litten to act as Ash's pet cat, Athena, as the two share a somewhat similar color scheme on top of obviously both being felines!
Absol- has been following Ash since she was young. He was the second to join her team and is very protective of Ash. Absol often warns them and others of danger and will throw itself into danger without hesitation. Picked for Absol's dex entries that state it's mistakenly seen as a doom-bringer but actually trying to warn others away, much like Ash!
Zoroark- a strange addition who mimicked his way onto the team. Zoroark has a strong bond with Ash and helps them see through illusions cast by Slenderman and The Operator. Likewise, he will cast his own illusions to keep them safe. He dislikes the Phantump following them. I picked Zoroark for the team due to its dex entries and abilities with illusions
Ninetales- Ash just found her on the team one day. Where Ninetales came from is unknown but she seems a bit... strange. The Pokémon often tries to push Ash into initiating vengeance for past friends through violence against proxies, Slenderman, The Operator, and others infected with the sickness. I picked this Pokémon for its dex entries that state Ninetales are vengeful and cast curses. Ninetales is shiny to better match Ash's greyscale color pallet.
Phantump- not really a Pokémon on Ash's team so much as one that tends to follow them around. It seems angered and often leaves scribbled drawings, as if trying to torment them. I picked Phantump to represent Ash's deceased younger sister, Faith. Again, the shiny variant was used to match Ash's color pallet.

HORROR/CREEPYPASTA OCS NEEDED
pretty please 🥲
I doubt anyone will read this nor participate cuz of how unknown my little au is butttt i figured I’d give it a shot anyways.
Basically I have a Creepypasta au called ✨The Mansion Kids✨ it mainly focuses on the kiddie pastas of the Creepypasta fandom and their lives stuff like how being a creepypasta and how they ended up here affecting them as they navigate how to grow up in such odd circumstances.
Well I’d like to add more characters for world building purposes as while yes the mansion is the main place they all hang out (its like a big ol meeting spot for creepypastas) not all of them actually most of them don’t live there instead being spread out all over different countries towns cities and even relms as some choose to live in Midrelm (a realm where Ghosts demons and any other unnatural folk can roam around freely) aka where the mansion itself is even if they aren’t living in the mansion specifically.
And why I’m asking for general Horror ocs Mainly
Welllll all the main Creepypastas in this au are referred to as Proxy’s and are considered separate from regular ghosts killers ect by the mandatory operator symbol they all share. I already have enough characters to focus on within the proxy’s characters like Jeff Nina clockwork Sally ect ect there are already a LOT of proxy’s and I don’t really wanna add anymore to the list.
So instead any characters added won’t be proxy’s aka they just won’t work directly for slender and have the operator symbol BUT they can still be creepypasta ocs as this is still a creepypasta au so basically any character used is like automatically TECHNICALLY KINDA a Creepypasta.
Anyways I just wanna snatch some characters to interact with and live in the same world as the main Proxy kids that way they aren’t just exclusively interacting with eachother like I said they all actually live pretty far apart and I want to have interactions with characters that aren’t other proxy’s in this world, and while yes I could make characters myself (and actually already have made some-) it’s boring and I don’t want a majority of this au to be of my own characters I want it to put a focus on other peoples characters too!
So I shall ask one more time
If anyone would allow me to use an oc of their choosing in this little au of mine that would be great QuQ obviously any characters I use will have proper credits given and any changes I make to them for the story will be made clear and the ideas all run past their creator as to make sure they’re okay with it.

I was thinking about youtube horror series and what makes them scary vs less so, and one thing that stands out to me as making your series' monster less scary is giving them lore or a well thought out backstory.
Like in mh's case, we get a tiny bit of operator lore (that being that it appeared to Tim early on in childhood), but we don't get any more explanation than that. No characters searching up the operator online or mythos. Alex has a tiny ramble about a scary story in the middle of the woods that might not have anything to do with the operator at all.
As opposed to a series like Chainmail Chasers (which I ADORE), where we get a huge amount of lore about angels and memetic demons and such. It makes the main monster in the series less scary to me, with the tradeoff of making me think about how BADASS it is. I wouldn't say the lore is a detriment to the series as a whole, but is instead a tradeoff of horror vs intrigue.
Also, in mh none of the characters ever say "the operator made me paranoid" or "I lost my memory because of the operator," it's always "I was paranoid" or "Jay changed after whatever happened to him in rosswood". Mh has such a fantastic focus on its characters rather than on the operator, and it grounds the effects of the operator while leaving a lot of the operator's abilities up to the audience's interpretation. Does the operator cause paranoia directly or just by proxy of him being a weird stalker? Did the operator set Jay's old apartment on fire, or was that Masky? Can the operator kill people itself? Is it real?
A lot of horror comes from the fear of the unknown, and I think mh uses that rather expertly with regards to its main monster.

My Personal headcanons for The Operator / Slenderman
[warning: a SHIT tone of writing almost sorry not actually]
The Main inspirtation is by the concept of a hivemind plantlike entity, Has this concept been done before for Slender. Yea, Am I still gonna use it? Yea 🤭 [i love eldritch plant beings they're so cool]
-

In World Lore:
An extremely long time ago, A being of unknown origin manifested into the world, Simply appearing out of the blue. Being able to exist on all four layers of existence with no consequence for it's actions. Originally said to be an old folk tale elders would tell to children to scare them, The Operator, although known across the world as multiple names, Some extremely fitting while others were uncreative / unoriginal. The entity within the tale would maintain the same behavior in every culture that was made aware of it. Often stalking heavily wooded areas attempting to lure those who were unexpecting into the forest where it will stalk it's prey until they barely escape or become it's next meal. However even escape was never the last one would see the Operator. As it continued to stalk those who saw it relentlessly until it grows tired of the same torment. Or It claims another life. The operator was once said to be in many books recording folklore; however the pages and stories of encounters with it have simply been erased from existence. As if it tears the pages out itself. Wanting to remain within the darkness where it can watch and wait for those who are unaware.
-
Headcanons:
Spiders tend to make small nests in the small holes that are on slender’s body, These spiders due to long exposure can give you the drowning if they bite you
The Spiral in the center of Slender’s face can hypnotize it’s victims. In my canon it’s how Slender gains most of it’s proxies
The reason Slender can disturb cameras and cause them to break is because of the electric frequency it admits. Similar to how fungi also admit Electric frequencies and is also source of the strange staticy hiss that tends to admit and follow Slender around
Slenderman is just a fae of sorts [which is just a fancy way of saying fairies], The type of fae that typically kidnap children and eat them. In my HC I kinda like to think that it is considered to be one of the first mythical forest spirits [also implying that Slender is old as balls]
-

The Drowning / Slendersickness:
The drowning is a form of “Sickness” one can get when being exposed to the entity known as “The Operator” for a long period of time. It gets its name due to the feeling of choking on water and lack of air in your lungs
Normally you’d have to be in contact or near the Operator to contact the drowning however if one is sick with the drowning the drowning can be easily passed onto you with or without knowing it. Another way to get it is if you are marked by the Operator which can give you Stage 2 Of the drowning within the matter of seconds. The sickness originates from Spores that come from The Operator which are a lesser version of the Operator's final stage "The Tower ''. The following symptoms include Violent coughing [to the point of blood], Vomiting, Violent hallucinations, Trouble breathing, Seizures, Violent outbursts / episodes and dissociating. To summarize it, A Lot of the time Sickness slowly but surely eats away at your humanity until you are but a husk of your former self, Causing you to become aggressive and violent towards others. The Operator then feeds off of the conflict and uses it to make it stronger
-

[Hoody / Brian in the Ark As seen in Entry# 83 At 6:30]
The Ark:
In Later years The Operator managed to make it’s own personal realm, Made to store the souls of those it has killed [or by proxy] and to drive those who enter it insane. Playing hallucinations that are personal to everyone who enters until they either die or find an exit [which is nearly impossible]. The realm as mentioned stores souls of it that have been killed that are being fed on by whatever lies in the pit that resides within the middle of the Ark, These dead victims are often in a paralyzed state where they are unable to move or speak as they slowly but surely melt into the surface of the Ark slowly becoming apart of it. However The Broken are basically souls that the "Ark" isn't able to feed off of since they are impure, Of course the broken are basically just victims of the Operator that have cracks on their body like fragile glass in a way. These souls and bodies are also often use as infinite battery packs for the Operator, Feeding off of the souls makes them more Powerful, The More souls there are the more of a threat it can become
-
[Example image I drew to help explain it kinda]
The Hivemind
The Operator has more than one variant that all act as a single hive mind sharing the same exact thoughts. The following examples are The Tower, The Drones and Hallucination
The Tower: The Tower is the main source of the hivemind, These variants are basically the "Queen Bees" that pop out smaller versions of themselves to scout for food and return it to the Nest. Towers often borrow themselves deep underground where they cannot be touched, often growing extremely giant, For example they can grow to the size of the statue of liberty before stopping. Their tentacles can connect to the roots of trees which allows them to shift the forest at their command, It's also worth noting that the hivemind all share the same thoughts
Drones: The drones are basically mini clones of the hivemind that are produced so the tower doesn't have to expose itself to the outside world and get injured or killed, Their goal is to collect food until the Tower is ready to bloom. But a lot of the time these drones will hypnotize people into doing their biddings for them which is considered to be the norm nowadays. It's also less stress for the drones incase they do not wish to be discovered by the outside world. Drones can also eventually grow into Towers if they live long enough
Hallucinations: These are as you expect, They're the dones way of messing with your head by haunting you and breaking you mentality. They often appear in hallucinations and aren't the actual drones themselves, The main way to tell the difference between a drone and a hallucination is by the color of their tie. Red means that they are physically there attacking you while black means it's not real
-

[lazy doodle by me]
The great blooming / The arrival:
this event is pretty straight forward. So the main reason these towers need to collect so much food and souls is so that they can bloom, Their heads unraveling to reveal a black rose that shoots out a giant cloud of spores that will infect those whoever breathes the spores in. These spores have the regular side effects such as the drowning, However those who are infected with the Tower's Spores are a ticking time bomb waiting to go off. If one is infected long enough their heads will implode into a flower and spread more spores around them
