"I Wish To Ask You A Question," said the golem.
"Yes?"
"I Smashed The Treadmill But The Golems Repaired It. Why? And I Let The Animals Go But They Just Milled Around Stupidly. Some Of Them Even Went Back To The Slaughter Pens. Why?"
"Welcome to the world, Constable Dorfl."
"Is It Frightening To Be Free?"
"You said it."
"You Say To People 'Throw Off Your Chains' And They Make New Chains For Themselves?"
"Seems to be a major human activity, yes."
Dorfl rumbled as he thought about this. "Yes," he said eventually. "I Can See Why. Freedom Is Like Having The Top Of Your Head Opened Up."
"I'll have to take your word for that, Constable."

ever think about the great sect madams of the generation before?
about madam yu, the violet spider, one of few in her generation to earn a title (even her husband was only ever sect leader. even wen ruohan was never regarded by a title other than sect leader wen). about yu ziyuan, about what she was like before years of jealousy and envy twisted her to only her most bitter parts? about the girl who was the third daughter of a sect leader, and then the wife of another, and yet all of her immense martial power meant nothing to the society around her.
about madam jin, known only by her title and never given a name or a natal sect, who was still somehow the closest friend to yu ziyuan. the mother of the sect heir and yet a wife who can do nothing but stand by as her husband dishonors their marriage over and over again.
about madam lan, the murderess locked up for her crimes, never seeing a trial and dying alone, only allowed to see her children once a month. who was she before she was the wife of the lan sect leader? was there a reason she killed the lan elder? did she want that marriage to qingheng-jun? did she even want the children she was kept from?
about the madams nie and wen, who only exist by implication, by the knowledge that their children exist and therefore so must they. about how so little is even implied about them?

abusive parent: calls me to meal
me, inside of my head: It's a trap! I'm hungry but if I do come out and eat, I'll be sitting at the table with the rest of them and they'll all get a chance to insult me, criticize my appearance, tell me what to do and start a discussion about how useless and selfish and horrible I am, I won't be able to stand it and I'll run away from the table still hungry. If I just go and grab a plate and attempt to eat it alone in my room I'll get attacked for being rude and acting like I'm too good to eat at the table and ruining the tradition of how food is supposed to be eaten and called an uncultured swine. What I need to do is wait until they've all eaten and dispersed from the table and then I have to sneak into the kitchen and grab whatever they've left and then I can eat it in my room.
me: umm… I'm not hungry yet?
abusive parent: Oh you're not hungry now? After I made all this food you're now not hungry???? What did you eat and when? Why did you eat when you knew there was going to be food made? Why are you so selfish? You did this just to piss me off!!! I don't care if you're not hungry, you need to come here and eat after I've made food!! Why do you always do this?? I slave away making food and you're just going to not be hungry after I did all that? Come here thIS INSTANT, you're GOING TO EAT IT!

Okay it's finally done.
Hello, people of Tumblr! Please, please spread this survey. Send it to your kids, your classmates, your niblings. Help me out here. I need people who did their GCSEs in 2022 in England to do this survey on the impact of COVID on GCSE results. It's for my EPQ. I need 100 respondents. Please, Tumblr... The fate of my grade rests in your hands.
Here is the survey: https://forms.office.com/e/tYkks2UfHe
Also, if you got this far, here's some GIFs from superwholock below the cut.
Also, I know y'all like polls, so here.
Listen: Sam Winchester may not have been able to complete his education, but he'd want someone else to complete theirs and do well, so do this for him:
Tumblr media
And for you Lockers? You know your guy Sherlock is smart and autistic, like me. He'd want another smart autistic person to succeed and get into a good uni (did I mention this EPQ is my big grab for a top university?). Then I can become a top detective or whatever idk I didn't watch the show I'm sorry but if you do this survey and tell me you're a Sherlock fan who saw this in the tags then I swear, I'll watch it. For you. And my grade. Please.
Tumblr media
Finally, doctor who, my beloved fandom. I love you all so much- well, maybe not all of you, but I appreciate the fandom as a whole for everything you've done for me. The word count of ff I've contributed to this fandom (AO3: z_in_a_blue_box for proof) should tell you all how much I love this show. Here, have gay people, and go do my survey. Please. I'm begging you.
The Doctor would say to always help people when you can. This can be your kind act of the day. "Always try to be nice, never fail to be kind". Please.
Tumblr media
Thank you, fandoms of Tumblr. I appreciate you all.

More detailed questions for your character's psychology
- Is your character self aware? How self aware? How much do they think about the way they appear to other characters? Do they look at things from a third person perspective often? Or another character's perspective? Is your character hypocritical? Do they think about the way other characters may be self aware?
- Does your character reflect on themself alot? In what ways? Is there something that's greatly biasing that reflection? What would it take to break that bias? Do other characters reinforce that bias often? Are other characters aware of this bias? Is your character insecure or hard on themself? Does your character overthink their actions or words? (past or present)
- How good is your character at reading others? Can they spot traits or characteristics in others that they may not be aware of? Why? Do they think they're good at reading others, but actually aren't? Is this due to a bias or simple lapses in judgment? Where does their bias come from? Do they underestimate or overestimate other characters often? Based on what?
- Is your character knowledgeable on things outside their usual scope? How so? What would be considered common knowledge in your setting? How critical is your character about their sources? Do they do further research or get second opinions? Do they have a bias for what sources they consider more reliable?
- is your character emotionally intelligent? Are they able to figure out what/why someone is feeling something, and what might've caused it? Are they good at comforting others? Are they considerate, or notice things other characters might feel sensitive about? Are they good at interpreting other characters' feelings? Do they realize when they're acting in the heat of the moment, or blinded by emotion? Do they know how to self regulate their emotions, or self soothe?
- Does your character think about the implications of things they experience, or things that others say? Are they able to look at the bigger picture, or notice patterns in something? Do they notice little, seemingly insignificant details, and if so, what kind of details? Why? Does your character take the time to gather perspective on something they don't understand? How thoroughly do they think about things before doing something?

Okay so if Gale and Astarion sleep next to each other in the Elfsong, which of them is the friend who asks if bread cares about what kind of sandwich it's made into when the other one is almost asleep?

Yo does that mean if psych accidently reverted error into geno, would he get his memories back (angsty idea)(what if?!?!)
Yes 100%. There is an initial shock period where the brain is trying to figure out what just happened and why they look different, but after the first few minutes memories start to come back. The reverted may not act exactly like they used to because they will still hold the experiences of their pre reversion form (the progressed), but they would also remember the experiences of them now reversed too. In this example the newly reverted geno holds all geno experiences and all error experiences which are all vivid and freshly new in his mind.
The entire point of reversion is for patients to understand themselves, breaking them down into their basic traumatic components of self to help them remember what happened and who they were. After typically three hours they progress back into their normal form but all patients no matter how painful, distressing, or distorting the progression back is they will be able to recall the new memories to some degree. the physical component of reversion is temporary, the mental impact is permanent.
Considering all this, psych needs to be extremely careful when reverting because he could easily traumatize or fuck it up, this is why he usually performs this task in a professional setting or at worst against his wil (in combat).

Angua felt that she was beginning to understand the way Carrot asked questions. He asked them by not asking them. He simply told people what he thought or suspected, and they found themselves filling in the details in an attempt to keep up. And he never, actually, told lies.
