Okay LOOK how calm and peaceful he looks. Sitting alone there, in his own world. But also how sad he looks. The artist has done a really good job with the contrasting colours. His world is literally cold and blue right now and he just wants things to change. But he knows things don’t change in Gotham. It never does.

And then there’s the fact that his bike is there-

This boy drove- HE DROVE to sit on a bench and feed these birds. And no he didn't just hand them a leftover bite of his sandwich as he sat on a bench. No no no, he BOUGHT the breadcrumbs! Look at the little paper bag!! He bought breadcrumbs and drove his bike to sit alone on his bench and feed the pigeons.

This is what he does to calm down and unwind and empty his head from the bat-filled chaos he experienced. It's canon to me so yeah l'lI never shut up about this. My heart can't handle this information. I need to give this boy a hug

Solarpunk Community Playlists

So we've got the community playlist for Solarpunk Aesthetic Week, right? It's nice and big, but I wanted to make more community playlists with specific vibes in mind! I've already added a bunch of songs to each, but the goal is to let everyone contribute to them and enjoy them!

Solarpunk and Chill is for lofi/chill beats! The aim is to have it be mostly lofi, or generally just good music to chill to while studying or working on projects!

Solarpunk Sunny Beats is for songs that are pretty upbeat and just feel solarpunk to us--whether its the subject matter of the song, or just the way the instruments sound! It's meant to be the middle ground between the lofi playlist and the next.

Solarpunks Fight for Our Future! is for songs that are punk/punky/rebellious-feeling! The kind of playlist you would bump to on the way to a protest, or do some action--what's the soundtrack that plays in your head if you were to guerrilla garden or do other rebellious acts? Add it here!

One of these days Maria would remember that she actually enjoyed saying no to social events. She still wasn't sure why she'd agreed to come to the Stark and Rogers New Year's party for friends and family or why she'd even been one of the people to receive an invitation in the first place. It might have been Natasha and Clint's influence, though how much influence they actually had over Tony was up for debate. She supposed she agreed because — she kind of missed the Tony that had trusted her. Nothing had really been the same since he wiped a year of his memories out. And yes, he could lie to everyone and pretend that he hadn't, but Maria knew. She couldn't blame him; it would be slightly hypocritical considering she'd done it to herself, but that was one mission, not a whole year. There was no shared history, no common ground; and while she had entertained herself by taking credit for the daycare when Tony asked when SHIELD had built one, it was — not the same. Part of that was her fault. She hadn't tried to sit Tony down and explain that they'd actually been friends by the end of it. Her rationale was that that Tony was gone, and just expecting him to go back to treating her the same as before was gross on a few different levels. And while Tony couldn’t be expected to remember what he’d forgotten, she didn’t feel bad about dropping a little blame at his feet. He’d have read somewhere that they worked together, and it wasn’t as if he’d tried to do any catching up on his own. (What Maria really wished was that Steve would stop flipflopping between trusting her and considering her one step down from a supervillain.) Maria shook the maudlin thoughts off and focused back on her conversation with Pepper, realizing that both their glasses were empty. "I'll get us some refills," she offered, turning on her heel. It might be a dry party, but she was skilled at making Shirley Temples. "Great party, Tony," Maria offered, passing by him on the way to the bar. There was a stifled laugh behind them and they both turned, watching Thor and Scott point over their heads. “Don’t tell me, you left someone unattended and they redecorated.” She said faintly, sighing at the mistletoe. They could just keep walking. It wasn’t as if anyone actually expected Maria to lay a kiss on anyone, she could tell by the looks on everyone’s faces. Normally they’d have more luck getting Clint to miss a shot than for her to relax that much, so maybe that was why she did it. Or maybe it was all the Christmas episodes on television this week. “Hold these for me.” The empty glasses she was carrying were passed off to Scott and Maria took a deliberate step forward, enjoying the various expressions of panic around the room. “Happy New Year, Tony,” she said, right before hooking her ankle around his and knocking him off balance just enough that she could dip him. If she was going to give them a show, she might as well give them a show. Kissing Tony hasn’t changed much since the last time she did it; and to be fair, wasn’t like they were making out this time. It was a simple press of lips — firm, but not demanding, and the kiss lasted long enough for it to be deliberate, but not so long as to be uncomfortable for either one of them. She let Tony go, smoothing his lapels down with a smirk. “Good thing it’s not midnight yet or someone would be jealous.” Maria stepped back, retrieving the glasses, and looked around the room. “Thanks for the entertainment, fellas. The next one to get caught under the mistletoe with me gets frenched,” she said, letting her smirk widen as her tone made it clear that it was a threat.

hey this isn’t aimed at anyone in particular but I’m saying it for the record here: if I tell you no, please stop messaging me about fundraisers and mutual aid.

I get enough messages that it’s impossible for me to keep up without devoting at least half an hour each day, when I’m not even on tumblr that long most days. Me having a boundary about this isn’t a moral failing, it’s a lifeboat for me on my own blog.

In my personal life I’m already advocating and donating literally as much as I can spare. This is not me not caring, it’s just me not willing to interact with that on the one place I go online to not interact with irl news and world events for the most part.

I cannot be upset all the time. I cannot be upset everywhere. I cannot use all my emotional and mental energy fielding my own upset from ongoing events. My options are to hold boundaries about this or stop coming online at all.

I’m all for sharing information and signal boosting to reasonable extents, but the scale of it this year is so large and so enduring that it is literally not possible to for me to participate on every account I have. I’ve previously shared links to Gaza eSIM donations and a major hub of verified Go Fund Mes here and elsewhere online. We, the online humans, know how to look those things up ourselves by now. There are many, many people choosing to do advocacy work, and right now, I can’t be one of them.

If you’re extremely upset when I tell you I can’t share/donate right now about a Gaza family or personal fundraiser you ask me to share here, just unfollow and block me. That’s what those buttons are for. Protect your own emotions and energy and get me off your feed instead of staying upset and continuing to engage with online people or content that upsets you.

Please don’t send repeated angry messages based on manufactured purity politics and moral outrage into my messages and inbox when I exercise the right to run my own blog.
