[Camera man]: We're rolling in 5, Lucy! Get ready!

[Lucy]: Great. Ugh, this rain's awful... my hair's already ruined!

Lucy: Welcome to Creepy Tales! I'm Lucy Kirk your host of Sim Channel's spookiest true crime show. Today's creepy tale led me to Brindleton Bay and its very own haunted house! Don't let its beautiful exterior fool you, this house has a dark dark history and I'm here to uncover it! But first, let's listen to what some of Brindleton's residents have to say about the Hexenhaus, as it's called by the locals.

man: It's a tale as old as time, I guess. You have your perfect family, gorgeous couple, great kids and nothing, literally nothing indicates something's wrong. But looking back now, with them being gone... I don't know, I'm pretty sure we missed some signs that things weren't as rosy as they appeared to be. Something was off, I'm sure.

woman 1: I don't really want to talk about this. It's been, what 8 years now? What's past is past and should stay in the past.

woman 2: I knew them obviously. In this kind of town, you know everyone. They were kind people, always very helpful. My son and their daughter were friends. He was devastated when... well you know what happened. Everyone was.

girl: That house is definitely haunted. You'd have to be crazy to live there, but what do I know, some weirdo just bought it at an auction. Good luck stayin' alive, dude.

Lucy: There you have it, guys! We're off to a mysterious start for this episode and I cannot wait to find out what exactly happened here in the Hexenhaus!"

idk if im making him more or less unique/interesting bc of how my OCs usually look these days ... he fits well to the other updated designs .. but maybe too well :/

(also not a demon but one of the ... animal/sea people like ki'ita, this lad isnt directly based on a specific one, just kinda ..tentacly)

While I don't headcanon Law to have any other piercings I do think tongue piercings are pretty cool so he can have one as a treat.

...I do, however, headcanon that Law has really good head game. Interpret that (and Sanji's reaction) as you will.

Hello resident animorphs expert! I'm terribly curious: do you have physical copies of all of the books, some favorites, none? I have all my favorites, but every time I'm in a used book store I wonder if I should clear out every copy just to have them all.

If it's within your budget, I say go ahead and get copies. Used bookstores often have to recycle books that don't sell to make room for ones that do, so buying them is preserving them. And not having to go through Rainforest-Destroying eCommerce Monopoly to do so is a huge bonus — I finished my collection with Ebay and Bookshop.Org, but neither place has everything.

Firstly, I wanted to tell you how much I adore Vincent and Quinn!

And if you feel comfortable answering this:

how did you create them?

Did you design them first and then develop their personalities and backstories? Or the other way around?

Every time I try to create original characters, they end up being shallow caricatures of characters I like but without real depth or actual personalities :/

As for the question--I kind of just...thought of them as concepts at first. Like, I had a vision of a vampire/human dynamic and projected some of my ideal characteristics onto them, tweaked a few early concepts into something more compelling, and just...went with it. They weren't even their true selves, especially in the beginning, but as I kept fantasizing about the idea, they developed more in my mind. I think it was sitting down and drawing them for the first time that solidified them as Characters for me. And once I had that, I was able to explore their backstories/personalities as if they were suddenly Real Boys. Currently, it's really easy for me to invent and share details about them, because I just know them now. It's less thinking about it in terms of 'this is my original character and I want them to do XYZ things' and more 'this is a person that exists of their own accord and I want to share their story'. I'm their caretaker and I let them decide things for me (I'm realizing now this all might sound crazy asdfghjkk I swear it's like they've taken over my brain 😅) But yeah--I think it's actually the best part of creating characters in the first place--to reach that stage where you feel like they exist outside of your own mind--they live and act and feel, I'm just the one pulling a few strings~

The fact a lot of people seem to not realise is that in Andient Greek times conquering of new land and assimilating that area was normal, it was expected, and if you showed up in a new area and they had a God for something that really none of yours lined up with chances are you’ll make a new God, hence why Zeus has so many children, it’s the easiest way to work a new God into the pantheon and have them accepted by the masses. People just ignore this though, as they only look at the myths through a narrow and modern point of view and as a result they become (for lack of a better term) ‘Zeus haters’. This is stupid. Through an ancient point of view one there’s a new God, they probably came from the king of the Gods, two these people worship different Gods to us so they gotta synchronise them! And so Gods gain new traits or just straight up new God is formed. It’s a way to explain other religions.

This is just a mini rant begging people to understand how Ancient Civilisations work and how that’s often reflected in their mythology.

There's indeed no need for people to hate and cancel a literal ancient Greek deity, because of how he was written and worshipped by an ANCIENT CIVILIZATION.

Other times, other laws, other ethics. It was the way it is and people should accept instead of constantly trying to change the ancient gods to their liking, which often results in erasure of their heritage.

Garden fence!!! It's pulled together with scraps and pieces from other projects. Old cattle panels (they are quite bent but did the job), left over chicken wire, reused wood posts, and fence scraps from the coop project!

The only thing purchased for this were some heavy-duty fence hinges.

So far, the chickens haven't gone in.
